I am not any kind of Chrissy Teigen fan. I?m just putting that out there right now. To me, she?s as much as a thirsty attention-seeker as Amy Schumer or Lena Dunham. All of those women follow the same kind of path, actually: say or do something ?outrageous? or ?controversial,? then bask in the negative attention that it brings, then issue some statement about ?HOW DARE YOU!? Lena, Amy and Chrissy are all like that: whirlwinds of self-perpetuating drama. So, what?s the latest? Chrissy Teigen told beauty editors about all of the plastic surgery that she?s had done:
While she shot down the rumors that her cheeks are implants to group of beauty editors, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit pointed to her forehead, nose and lips and said “fake, fake, fake.”
“Everything about me is fake except my cheeks,” Teigen said to the editors.
While she didn’t say exactly what had been done to her face, of course the honesty is deeply refreshing and admirable in an industry where most stars deny or simply hide any of their private procedures.

Teigen went on to say that she has also gotten liposuction in one place you wouldn?t expect:
“I had an armpit sucked out, which was one of the best things. It’s a big secret, but I don’t care. It was nine years ago or so. And I had two inches to my armpit. Now it’s back though, so now I’ve gotta pay for [liposuction] again. It was so easy. It made me feel better in dresses; I felt more confident. It was the dumbest, stupidest thing I’ve ever done. The dumbest, but I like it, whatever. I have no regrets, honestly.”

Part of me can?t believe that Renaissance Faires are still a thing, but here we are. It?s 2017, Donald Trump is president and RenFaires are still a thing. There was apparently a major Renaissance Faire happening in Southern California this past weekend. I would assume it involved all of the traditional RenFaire things – oversized turkey legs, costumes, jousting, perhaps even some horses. Angelina Jolie attended the RenFaire with Shiloh and a group of kids, according to TMZ:
Angelina Jolie got in some quality culture with her daughter over the weekend by going back in time to the Renaissance … in SoCal … with Brad Pitt nowhere in sight. Angie was seen Saturday with at least one of her kids — her daughter, Shiloh — at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire of Southern California in Irwindale.
Witnesses tell us there were other kids with Angie and Shiloh — unclear if they were siblings or just friends. We’re told Angie and the crew were flanked by a massive bodyguard who followed them around the event — can’t ever be too careful. Still, the people we spoke with say Angie seemed happy — smiling and talking to staffers and other costumed folk — while chomping down on what appears to be a turkey leg.

Imagine running into Angelina Jolie at a RenFaire. She must have been called ?M?lady? about a million times. I hope she not only finished the enormous turkey leg, but also got herself Ye Olde Funnel Cake. As for What All This Means? I think it means that Shiloh is into RenFaires and Angelina is the kind of cool-mom who will take Shi and her friends to the RenFaire. I also think it means that Angelina?s focus continues to be her children.

Zoe Saldana, reprising her role as Gamora for the just-released Guardians of the Galaxy 2, is on the promotional trail and found herself on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night. A caller to the show asked about a 2014 rumor Britney Spears, Zoe’s co-star in the 2002 movie Crossroads, was the first to tell the press that Zoe was pregnant with twins with husband Marco Perego.
The 38-year-old actress admitted that the rumor was true, telling host Andy Cohen, “We were on the same flight from L.A. to New York and we just talked for the duration of the flight….She has two boys, I was having twins ? and we had a beautiful talk. And I forgot ? it never even occurred to me to not to say anything. We weren?t trying to hide it, we were just trying to be discreet.?
When pressed by Andy if she had any ill will towards Britney, Zoe diplomatically said, ?The way that it happened was so innocent that I never even thought of holding her accountable for anything. She was just being Britney. I love her ? I don?t mean that in a negative way, I mean that in the way that she lives her life in such truth.? She did admit, ?I was shocked because we weren?t ready to sort of share that,” but quickly added, “But it was Britney, so it?s okay.”
After telling the press to respect her privacy back in 2014, I can only hope she’s telling the truth here. It’s easy to get excited when you get good news about a friend, and I am sure I’ve let something slip that I shouldn’t have at some point in my life. Good on you if you’re okay about it, Zoe.
Zoe and Marco have three boys. In addition to the twin boys, Bowie and Cy, the couple have another son, Zen, born in February. In a recent New York Times interview, Zoe was asked about having so many female role models (like Nina Simone, whom she played in a controversial 2016 movie) and now sharing her experience and knowledge with a trio of boys. She said, “Me having only boys is the universe being absolutely ironic, and I?m accepting the challenge with much love and humility. The biggest enigma is that after so many women, it?s now all about men ? seeing them at a very tender age, learning about their biology, understanding who they are and why they are such precious creatures.” Awww. Like her or not, that’s pretty cool.

I haven?t much paid attention to Nicki Minaj since Remy Ma bodied her with the diss track to end all diss tracks, ?ShETHER.? That was Oscar weekend, remember? At first, Minaj was shaken, then she made a big deal about how she was ?winning? the beef by staying silent, then she finally released her ?response? to Remy Ma and it was pretty weak. Still, I bet most people are still like ?Nicki Minaj is awesome, who is Remy Ma?? and ?Whatever.?
At the end of the day, Minaj is still rich, she?s still putting out music and she?s still invited to major events, like the Met Gala. She?s still winning. The Remy Ma thing was a blip and Minaj is actually doing fine. My point is that? Minaj actually doesn?t need to do nice things online for her fans just for a good PR hit. She might have actually done something really nice just to thank her fans and promote education. On Saturday, Minaj took to Twitter and started giving out money to students so they could pay off student loans, buy books or pay for classes. She tweeted for hours, chatting with her followers and asking them to DM their information and she would send the money they needed. Like, there are dozens of tweets, dozens of people asking her for money. Here?s just a taste:

The evolution of the MTV Awards is something that interests me from a pop-culture-historical standpoint, because I grew up in a time when the MTV Movie Awards were an actual event and some of the biggest movie stars in the world came to the show and did silly skits and videos and really put effort into doing crazy speeches. Nowadays, it?s a parade of reality stars, C-listers and awkward hosts. MTV is even leaning into the ?death of actual movie stars? thing by combining film and TV categories and performances. Anyway, you can see the list of this year?s winners here. Last night?s show was awful.
Emma Watson won Best Actor for Beauty and the Beast, and that movie won Best Film too. Emma wore this black-and-silver Kitx dress which seems simple and flattering. She talked and talked when she won Best Actor too, because she was happy that she, a cisgendered white heterosexual woman, won an acting award when she was up against the dudes. For a show like this, I don?t really mind combining performances by men, women and non-binary actors. But it will be chaos if they try that at other awards shows.
It cracked me up to see Taraji P. Henson mixing it up with the kids at this show. She was like the Cool Mom of the MTV Awards. Taraji wore this Emilio Pucci which? was not great. It had a sexy half-open back, but there?s just too much fabric up front. Taraji picked up an award for Hidden Figures? given to her by the Queen of Everything, Maxine Waters.
Allison Williams in sparkly Galia Lahav. I sort of like Allison as a blonde? It changes up her whole vibe and makes her seem less ?pinched.? This dress is okay.
Alexandra Daddario in Philosophy di Lorenzo. My God, this is AWFUL. It?s like a dress made out of two different but equally ugly curtains.

Cara Delevingne ?debuted? her shaved head at the Met Gala, and ever since, I?ve been believing that she shaved her head FOR the Met Gala, like it was a dramatic styling choice for the model-actress. No. That?s not the case. She shaved her head for a movie role, Life in a Year. So Cara?s shaved head won?t be going away any time soon. Cara attended the MTV Movie & TV Awards last night in this little black Saint Laurent dress. I like the dress, I like the boots, and I don?t have an opinion on the shaved head, honestly. She looks like an alien but? I sort of enjoy her alien vibes.
Gal Gadot appeared at the MTV Awards because she?s shilling Wonder Woman. I?m worried about how little support WW has at this point. But here?s Gal, looking gorgeous in a simple Cinq a Sept dress.
Amandla Stenberg in Fendi. This is sort of adorable? except for the shoes. The shoes are awful. But she?s lovely and the Fendi dress is okay (I could do without the chest pockets, but whatever).
Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Jonathan Simkhai. She?s on Fargo now and I love her styling on the show, so I?m perturbed to see her with bangs and a ruffled, almost-twee dress. Eh. She needs to wear more ?70s-inspired stuff because that would look amazing on her figure.
