Creating quite the name for herself, Brooke Hogan is staying busy and making her promotional rounds for her second album, “The Redemption.”
The reality TV starlet signed autographs and took pictures with hundreds of waiting fans yesterday afternoon (July 21) in Miami’s Dolphin Mall in South Florida.
Little Ms Hogan is not stopping there - she is set to hit Wal-Mart in Cooper City, FL this Saturday (July 25) and then the Mansion Night Club in South Beach for an album release party. “The Redemption” hit stores yesterday.
Meanwhile, Brooke’s parents, Linda and Hulk Hogan, are on the brink of officially being divorced. And according to a source, a settlement could be announced as early as next week.

Taking a break from the set of her film, “Back-Up Plan,” Jennifer Lopez headed out for a little retail therapy at the Christian Louboutin store in Manhattan on Wednesday (July 22).
The “Wedding Planner” star was all smiles as she was photographed by the paparazzi all the while looking fit and fine in white jeans, flats and a brown flowy top.
And yesterday was a big day for the singer and her husband Marc Anthony, as they attended a Miami Dolphins press conference to celebrate the announcement of Marc becoming partial owner of the NFL team.

Jessica Simpson has been mighty depressed ever since Tony Romo broke up with her and didn’t even give it so much as a second thought. A source says Jessica doesn’t take breakups well and she has a hard time letting go. Her parents have been trying to help, even encouraging her to go out and have fun. Though Jessica thinks the world is judging her and always wants to hide at home. Now Papa Joe is putting all his hopes and dreams into Ashlee.
“The family used to have such faith in [Jessica] and they worried about Ashlee,” says the family friend. “Now they are fully confident in Ashlee’s choices and they worry most of their days about Jessica. It seems she just can’t catch a break.”
You know your life is on a downhill skid when your parents wish you were more like your pointy chinned sibling who’s married to a big, fey douchebag. That’s got to be hard to swallow. While many Hollywood mothers are obsessed with making sure they stay thin throughout their pregnancy, Kendra Wilkinson says she’s willing to put on a few pounds to help the baby stay healthy.
In a recent interview she told press, “I’m concentrating more on what’s healthy for the baby more than my weight gain. I know my weight gain will go away very fast, so if I gain weight and that’s what it takes to make my baby healthy, that’s what has to happen.”
And as with most pregnancies, Kendra reports having some random cravings like Japanese food. “Not fish or any of that stuff, but teriyaki chicken and rice and soy sauce and ginger salad.”
When it comes time to deliver (estimated to be Christmas day), Ms. Wilkinson says she’s opting for comfort rather than toughness. “I’m getting an epidural, everything they can give me. That’s the one thing I’m nervous about the most. Everything else is so fun, but I have visions of my vagina tearing, and that sucks.”

You’ll never guess what Jessica Biel does to keep thin and fit. Are you ready for this? Working out and portion control. Biel says she doesn’t believe in depriving yourself of the things you love to eat. She only believes in limiting your intake.
?You have to find a balance, especially with what you eat. I don?t live by the idea that you can?t allow yourself a treat,? she said.
?I say, ?Eat things you like, but eat them in smaller portions?. I always cut things in half and send them back. I?m not perfect, I don?t always do those things, but that?s the goal.?
So Biel cuts food in half and sends the rest back to the kitchen. Really? What does she expect them to do with the other half. Serve it to other customers? “Here. Jessica Biel only wanted to eat half of this. You may be so honored as to finish it.” I’m pretty sure the restaurant just chucks it into the trash. God damn celebrities are wasteful. Other people would ask for a doggy bag and some would even start stuffing the free bread into their coat pockets. I bet Jessica laughs every time she sees a commercial telling people that a penny a day can make a difference for third world orphans. Then she drives around town with a bucket of KFC chucking half-eaten drumsticks at homeless people.

Following a self-imposed hospitalization last week, Mischa Barton is said to be doing better and should be released from her psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center soon.
Her publicist Craig Schneider told press, “Mischa is improving and still under care, with the intentions of being able to resume production on “The Beautiful Life” next week.”
However, some damage may have already been done to her career, as Miss Barton may now appear to be a liability in the eyes of film insurance companies.
Andy McDonough, an insurance broker with Arts & Entertainment Insurance revealed, “Could she be insurable on future films? Well, it will depend on what happens in this case and if she is able to complete the project.”

Brittny Gastineau was one of those random semi-famous people! Brittny is best known for? uh? that show ?Gastineau Girls? and ?uh? yeah. That?s about it. So Brittny is in Bruno, participating in one of the embarrassing interviews. Bruno shows Brittny photos of celebrity babies and asks her for a designation of ?keep? or ?abort?. Sounds hilarious?? When Bruno got to a photo of Jamie Lynn Spears? baby Maddie. Brittny declared Maddie to be an ?abort?. And now Brittny has taken her ?just joking? defense to Page Six:

One scene in “Bruno” features Sacha Baron Cohen (as a flamboyant Austrian fashion reporter) showing photos of celebrity babies, and asking the reality starlet if she would “keep” or “abort” them. When shown a sonogram of what Bruno claims was Spears’ unborn fetus, Gastineau cheerfully decrees, “Abort it!”
“It’s a joke,” Gastineau assured us. “It’s crazy how serious some people can get.”
She said, “The whole time I was talking in this high, jokey voice, and I was just kidding along with it.?
“Everyone who follows me on Twitter has said that they know I was joking. I think [Cohen] is one of the funniest people alive, so when I got there, I decided just to spoof myself and be a dumb idiot.”
Gastineau admits that she didn’t realize Cohen was going to interview her before she arrived. “I was approached through a manager of mine. ‘Gastineau Girls’ was aired in 54 countries, and I thought I was doing a promotional interview for a German TV show,” said the daughter of legendary Jets lineman Mark Gastineau.
“When I got there . . . I knew something was up,” she recalled. “They wouldn’t let my makeup artist come in . . . Then, when I saw him, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, OK.’ Because I recognized the character but I couldn’t place it. I just went along with it.”
As for the rest of the film, Gastineau told us, “I overall thought it was great. I laughed my ass off — I was crying I laughed so hard.”
Although several people who appeared in Cohen’s first movie, “Borat,” sued claiming he had misrepresented himself and ruined their lives by humiliating them and depicting them as bigots, only one has sued over “Bruno,” claiming emotional distress.

Sacha Baron Cohen gets so many people to say crazy stuff, it?s kind of no longer shocking. Considering this interview from Page Six is the first I?ve heard of the Brittny Gastineau scene, I suspect this is far from the most shocking content in the film. I also suspect that it?s one of those situations D-List celebrities find themselves in - they do something weird or gross or shocking, and when nobody notices or cares, they talk about it in a half-assed apology or explanation, trying to get some kind of press out of it. Meh. Abort.

Radar Online points us to this interview with Mischa Barton, taken on June 27 when she opened the Harrod’s Summer Sale in London. Her voice is very hoarse and her eyes are droopy. She looks like she’s on something and out of it, which is sad because the answers she gives to the fashion questions are kind of impressive. Mischa always struck me as a smart, aware person and I really hate to see her like this. She slips into a British accent occasionally, but she lived in England until she was five and has parents who are English and Irish so that’s understandable. It’s her kind of sleepy, slurry appearance that makes me feel for Mischa and hope she gets help. There’s also another interview with Barton taken that day in which she’s filmed from father away and seems more coherent.
People Magazine has been running stories about Barton nonstop since she was hospitalized on a psychiatric hold. They’re saying she’s a party girl who didn’t know her limits, that she had a falling out with close friends over her drug use, and that she has body image issues made worse by the media’s focus on her weight.
She has big self-esteem issues. … She hates her legs,” says a source close to Barton. “She isn’t comfortable with her body. It’s been a big source of stress and self-hate.”
Speculation about 23-year-old actress’s weight and nasty comments from tabloids and blogs also fueled insecurity.
“She had a big problem with those photos of her cellulite. ? She didn’t like it,” says another source. “That just was something that contributed to her spiraling but she didn’t do much to fix it because of her partying.”
While another friend tells PEOPLE the photos upset the former O.C. star ? “[She was] more pissed off than hurt and she complained a lot about that” ? she didn’t let them get “to her too much. … I never saw her diet.”
But when photos showed a thinner Barton, she took to her blog and spoke out about the “crazy press,” telling fans that she’s “happier and healthier than ever so there’s no need to worry about me.”

Some people say they saw this coming, but I wouldn’t have guessed that Barton had any issues other than smoking up and drinking too much like a lot of young people. She comes across as articulate and self aware without being self absorbed, and that’s rare for young women in that industry. I’ve thought that friends of mine were fine, too, and didn’t find out that they were really hurting until things were out of control. Barton is just 23 and she can get her life back on track if she’s serious about her sobriety. As far as we know, she’s still in the hospital being treated. Maybe this is the wake up call she needed. Mischa has her whole life ahead of her and I hate to see the media trash her for this. She’s only human, and she has a real chance to turn things around.

As I documented before, my feelings for Jessica Simpson walk that fine line between sympathy and outright pity. The girl is having a rough time after her now excessively-documented split with Tony Romo. Not only did Tony dump her the night before her birthday, he was hooking up with women on Jessica?s birthday. In the days since their split, Jessica has mostly been keeping a low profile. Jessica Simpson?s recent estrogen-filled weekend hanging out with her girlfriends and watching chick flicks with her mom was a welcome bright spot in an otherwise difficult week for the newly single singer.
Since Tony Romo broke up with Simpson on the eve of her 29th birthday, “She’s a little depressed,” says a Simpson family friend.
“She takes breakups really badly,” adds another source close to Simpson. “She has a hard time letting go.”
The singer-actress has had a rocky romantic record, which includes her divorce from Nick Lachey and her on-again, off-again relationship with John Mayer. But Romo seemed an ideal fit for Simpson, who last year called the Dallas Cowboys quarterback “the love of my life.”
So far, Simpson has been coping with the split by living a low-key life and seeking solace with her parents, who “encourage her to go out and have a good time, like she did this week,” says the Simpson family friend.
But when she’s out in public, “she feels she’s being judged by the world and opts to hide out at home,” says the friend. “The family feels bad for Jessica. They worry for her a lot.”
That wasn’t always the case. “The family used to have such faith in [Jessica] and they worried about Ashlee,” says the family friend. “Now they are fully confident in Ashlee’s choices and they worry most of their days about Jessica. It seems she just can’t catch a break.”

The “Disaster Movie” diva was joined by gal pals Ciara and Brittny Gastineau as she posed for the paparazzi outside the Mann Theatre in Westwood, looking hot in a black and white ensemble complete with a studded black leather belt.
Earlier in the day, Kim enjoyed a swanky lunch with her mother Kris Jenner at Beverly Hills hot spot La Scala.
And following their meal, Kim saw a shutterbug get into an auto accident while trying to follow her. She tweeted, “A paparazzi got into a car accident in Beverly Hills today chasing me! So not cool guys! Just not worth it! I hope everything is ok.”

Back in May, he was involved in a scuffle with designer Jack McCollough at a Met Gala after-party, and earlier this week it was announced that Kiefer Sutherland will not be prosecuted for the fracas.
According to a report, charges against the “Lost Boys” stud have been dropped after the New York District Attorney rejected the case.
Yesterday (July 21), the DA’s office released a statement, saying, “We declined to prosecute after a full investigation. And that included speaking to the complaining witness who was quite uncooperative… Therefore, the D.A. declined to prosecute.”
Sutherland had been charged with third-degree assault as a result of his alleged head-butting of the designer after he bumped into Brooke Shields at the event.

Prior to the photo op, Miss Miller and the rest of the cast arrived on the ship courtesy of a boat shuttle, making the event a bit more dramatic.
Last night, Sienna enjoyed some swanky London nightlife with a trip to the Camden Roundhouse, located on the city’s north side.

Angelina Jolie and her oldest child, son Maddox (who turns eight years old in August) were photographed at LAX on Tuesday. The two were traveling without Brad and without any of the other little Jolie-Pitts. Multiple sources confirm that Angelina and Maddox were flying commercial (as opposed to going for a trip in one of Angelina?s little private planes). X17 claims Angelina and Maddox are headed to France. A little mother/son bonding trip, perhaps?
Lately Brad and Angelina have been splitting up their outings with the kids by gender - Angelina takes Shiloh and Zahara out, while Brad takes Maddox and Pax for doughnuts or whatever. It?s been a while since I?ve seen Angelina do a solo trip with one of her boys. I wonder what?s up? Will the tabloids spin it as ?Angelina Takes Maddox From Brad: She Screams ?You?ll Never See Us Again!?? Meh, whatever. Maddox looks cute in his little sunglasses and his track pants. Her hair looks healthy and everything, but I think it would look fuller if she got a trim, perhaps. I just prefer her hair in a loose bun, I think it looks prettiest that way.
In other Angelina Jolie news, it looks like she?s no longer attached to the would be film or miniseries version of Ayn Rand?s Atlas Shrugged. Something about how she didn?t want to do it anymore or the other crap came up for both her and the studio, something like that. In any case, it looks like the studio that owns Atlas Shrugged is now considering Charlize Theron for the role of the capitalist heroine Dagny Taggart. Katherine Heigl should count her lucky stars that she was asked to come back to “Grey’s Anatomy” for another season, especially after she trash-talked the show’s writing on at least two separate occasions last year. She even brashly took her name off the list of potential Emmy nominees in 2008, saying in an obnoxious statement that “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.” That wasn’t the first time Heigl dissed her employers and it won’t be the last.
In a recent interview, Heigl defended her blunt and often rude comments, saying she’s just stating her opinion and that she’s finds it “preposterous” that “I can?t be honest about how I feel about things because it?s going to piss somebody off who feels differently.”
People Magazine has the details of Heigl’s appearance on The Late Show and Monday night, and she’s predictably at it again. She calls it “cruel and mean” that she was on set for f17 hours on her first day back at Grey’s. That does sound excessive, but I’m sure she spent a significant amount of downtime in her plush trailer, along with receiving catered meals and beverages delivered by an assistant.
Katherine Heigl may be back to work on the set of Grey?s Anatomy, but according to the actress, it hasn?t been a super-happy homecoming.
?Our first day back was Wednesday and it was ? I?m going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them ? a 17-hour day,? Heigl told David Letterman during a visit to the Late Show on Monday, ?which I think is cruel and mean.?
One reason for her lack of pep: her good pal T.R. Knight?s departure from the show.
?It was actually kind of really great to be back,? she said. ?All my friends are there and at this point, they?re sort of like family, but it was a little weird because [T.R.]?s not there anymore.?
As open as she is about her feelings about the show, Heigl remained tight-lipped about the fate of her character, who was last seen in an ambiguous scene after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor. ?You last saw Izzie, you know, flatlining,? she told Letterman. ?So, I won?t give it away but, you know, I?m there so I?m either there as a ghost, on the other side or I survived a disease no one survives.?
?I?m guessing if you?re working 17 hours, that means you?re not dead,? Letterman observed.
Heigl?s reply: ?What if, however, Dave, I was in a bed in a coma for 17 hours, they could do that to me.?
Despite the long days shooting the medical drama, Heigl said she hopes Grey?s Anatomy, which returns to ABC on Sept. 24, will stick around for a while.
?We have another two years, I think, at least in the contract,? she said. ?Hopefully the show goes, you know, ER time, which would be cool.?

From what I understand, long hours on set are common for movies and television shows because it’s difficult to coordinate cast, crew and equipment. They try to get in as much filming time as possible once everything is set up. How is this woman scoring roles on major motion pictures with this kind of attitude? At least she’s not a drunken mess like a lot of starlets, but she seems so ungrateful and obnoxious about her charmed life. You know who regularly work 17 hour days - doctors in residency like her character on Greys. They don’t get all the perks, breaks, or a fraction of the salary that she enjoys. Their job is stressful, demanding and requires difficult decisions that people’s lives sometimes depend on. There are also plenty of menial jobs that require long, hard hours. The only person who should be embarrassed by Heigl’s latest round of bitching is herself.

Making for a rare post-breakup sighting, Jessica Simpson was photographed leaving a personal training session in West Hollywood on Tuesday afternoon (July 21).
Having just recently split from quarterback beau Tony Romo, the “Do You Know?” singer still seemed to be battling the emotions of her failed romance - looking a bit down in the dumps compared to her usual cheerful self.
Meanwhile, the latest reports tell that Romo’s decision to call it quits came as a result of pressure from Miss Simpson to pick a wedding date.
“Tony pulled the plug because he couldn’t stand the constant heat Jessica was putting on him to get married,” a source said.
Apparently, plans for an “extravagant Barbie and Ken-themed birthday party” pushed the Dallas Cowboys stud over the edge, as he simply wanted a quiet dinner for two.
“Tony told Jessica that he wanted to take a break,” the insider said. “He’s worn out from bickering and he wants to concentrate on training for the football season.”

A little more info about the aftermath of Samantha Ronson’s night out with Drea De Matteo. Apparently, Lindsay was none too happy about it. Sam got home at around 5 AM Monday morning. Lindsay showed up an hour later and started banging on the door. An argument between the two ended when Sam threw a bag of Lindsay’s clothes on the street.
A bad-tempered Lindsay appeared in no mood to talk to photographers camped outside Sam’s home and told them to ‘mind your own business’.
It’s kind of pathetic how Lindsay will just take it and keep going back. You’d think she’d have a little more dignity. You’d be wrong, however. Lindsay’s dignity left a long time ago. It’s sitting at the beach sipping on a margarita and chatting with Lindsay’s common sense.
