Christina Aguilera has spoken quite a bit about how her upcoming album is taking her sound in a new, electro-disco direction thanks to collaborations with Goldfrapp, Ladytron, M.I.A., Santigold, Sia and Le Tigre.
But in a two-hour interview scheduled to air Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on E!, "Christina Aguilera: An E! Entertainment Special," the Grammy-winning belter reveals a bit more about husband Jordan Bratman as well as the influence the couple's toddler son, Max, has had on her new studio adventures.

Wearing a slew of distinctive and edgy fashions, Rihanna posed for a wild pictorial in the September issue of Italian Vogue. The singer, who sang on and appeared in the video for Jay-Z's latest single "Run This Town," looks tough for the pictorial, and appears topless in one of the shots posted online.
Rihanna was shot by photographer Steven Klein (who has worked with Britney Spears and Madonna in the past), according to New York magazine's blog The Cut, and the photos will appear in a couture supplement that goes with the issue. On the cover, she appears in a Valentino dress carrying a bucket and tossing the water out.
Of course, it's the wild photos that will have everyone talking. The singer poses wearing hats, sequins, Madonna-like cone bras, garters feathers and even rubber lips. In one daring photograph, she appears topless with strategically placed pasties, skimpy underwear and boots.
Although most of the photographs are black and white, there is one color photo, which features Rihanna wearing a turquoise blue dress and boots. In the photos, Rihanna sports a few hats, and in some of them fans can see her signature spiky hair.
Most recently Rihanna displayed her keen eye for edgy, guerilla warfare style in Jay-Z's new video for "Run This Town." In it, the singer, standing alongside Jay-Z and Kanye West, sports bullet belts, fur, ninja masks, garters, bedazzled sunglasses.

Continuing on her first day of filming, Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted doing scenes with Chris Noth on the set of “Sex and the City part 2” today (September 1).
The Carrie Bradshaw actress and her Mr. Big cohort looked to be enjoying themselves as they laughed and chatted in between scenes as the nearby paparazzi snapped up plenty of pics.
And though there’s widespread speculation as to the plotline of the much-anticipated sequel, SJP is staying decidedly tight-lipped about the details.
Parker told press, “In a million years I’m not going to give you an indication. I want someone to show up that first weekend.” “Sex and the City Part 2” hits theaters May 28th, 2010.

Listen up Ashton Kutcher! Demi Moore wants to have another child.
The actress already has three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis and isn’t letting her age get in the way. She’s even discussed it with 31 year-old Kutcher.
“Why not? Everything is possible!” she said about expanding her family. “Have so much to live for, and obviously one of them is to have a child. I’m very enthusiastic about all the possibilities that living together gives us”
Once Moore has an idea she goes with it. “I’m an incurable optimist and a go-getter-it’s in my nature to focus much more on what makes me happy than what makes me nervous”
The “G.I. Jane” actress, who is 46 years old, isn’t worried about the age gap either. “What matters most for me is to have found someone for whom the age gap doesn’t mean anything and most of all with whom I have an incredibly deep relationship.”
Adding on, she says, “We’re at different stages in our personal lives and in our careers. But we look at that as a positive thing because we are massively enriched by having different things to deal with and to share. And also I won’t pretend that I’m not hugely happy to live with such a handsome man!”
And Moore feels that although Ashton is younger, he doesn’t always show it.“I’ve met a lot of 40 and 50-year-olds who were a lot more immature than him.
Ashton is very responsible, and he was comfortable from the very beginning with the family responsibilities he had to take on.Most men aged 25 would not have been able to deal with it. I don’t judge them, but I think Ashton is far more ahead of his time. We share everything. He’s also my best friend.”

They mention Halle?s claim to Oprah that she had saved over 35 negative pregnancy tests in a drawer before she got pregnant with daughter Nahla in 2007. But Life & Style says that this time it happened much easier for her.

Halle Berry suffered through the disappointment of more than 30 negative pregnancy tests before finally learning she was expecting her first child, Nahla, in 2007. Luckily, she?s had more success with her follow-up attempts to have a baby: Life & Style can exclusively reveal that the actress, who turned 43 on Aug. 14, is three months pregnant with her second child. ?Halle is overjoyed,? says an insider close to Halle and the baby?s father, model Gabriel Aubry. ?The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination.?
?She?s just ecstatic to be pregnant again,? the insider tells Life & Style. ?She wasn?t sure if she?d have another baby, so she?s very happy!? A rep for Halle didn?t respond to a request for comment.

It certainly could be true, but grain of salt and all that. This is Life & Style after all. Of all the ?exclusives? magazines get from ?sources? and ?insiders,? I think I?m most skeptical of the pregnancy ones. Often they just seem to be based on speculation, like, ?she looks to have put on weight.? ?She?s emotional.? ?She likes wearing pink.? Okay I have yet to actually hear that last one, but I won?t be surprised when I do. If Halle really is pregnant, then congrats to her, but I?m not completely convinced yet. Maybe when she shows me her pregnancy test ? I?m assuming she?s still got it. Then I might believe it.

Sarah Jessica Parker spent most of this morning running around Manhattan revising her famed role as Carrie Bradshaw. Of course she did this in a possibly mildly see-through dress, but I think it’s just due to the inherent issues with wearing white. No word on whether it was an accidental wardrobe malfunction or part of the plot, but she looked fabulous. Especially in her gold Christian Louboutins.
I?m starting to think Sarah Jessica should seriously consider sticking to Carrie Bradshaw roles, because she?s gotten nothing but heinous reviews for everything else she?s done. And nothing but fabulous reviews for her ?Sex &the City? work. This weekend I saw ?Julia & Julie? (like the reviewer below) and was forced to endure the trailer for SJP?s next film “Did You Hear About The Morgans” with Hugh Grant. To say it was the most abysmal part of my night is an understatement: and I was wearing really painful shoes that left me with over 11 huge blisters. But I?d gladly suffer another dozen just to have walked out before I had to sit through that awkwardness. Here we go:
Over the weekend a friend and I were forced to sit, “Clockwork Orange”-style, through the painfully unfunny trailer for “Did You Hear About The Morgans” before we could enjoy the butter-soaked fun of “Julie & Julia.” The trailer features Hugh Grant doing what Hugh Grant thinks Hugh Grant does best — playing a yippity man-boy who can’t quite grasp the concept of love — and Sarah Jessica Parker as his humorless wife who’s moments from leaving him when they witness a murder.
Then, as if out of a movie, (oh, wait) the two are shuttled into a Montana-based witness protection program where they inevitably learn about horse riding, small town mentalities and themselves. Bad film aside, there is one major problem that will prevent “Morgans” from being super successful: Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t a movie star. She a square peg in cinema’s round hole. After starring as the small screen’s greatest dater ever, I get why Sarah Jessica thinks romantic comedies are her best bet for big screen success — but it’s a catch-22.
Because Carrie Bradshaw is who most rom-com inclined ladies aspire to be, any character short of her is a failure. And since SJP very intentionally opts for very un-Carrie-like women to play on the big screen, everyone is continually disappointed. Which is assuming audiences show up in the first place, which history says they don’t. Most of her non-”SATC” big screen adventures have been as profitable as they have been entertaining — which is to say, not very. In her 25-year career, only one other film has crossed the million dollar mark (”First Wives Club”) while none of her post-Bradshaw roles have lit the box office on fire.
And while other rom-com staples, like Kate Hudson or Katherine Heigl, can push a subpar script past $100 million based almost solely on sex appeal, SJP comes up short. I mean, the website Sarah Jessica Parker Looks Like A Horse.com offers enough supporting evidence to qualify her for The Breeder’s Cup. Don’t take this as me calling SJP fugly, I’m simply saying that to play the lead in a romantic comedy, an actor must be desirable to the opposite sex. And I’m not sure at this point, Sarah Jessica (or Hugh) is really fitting that mold.
So without the support of straight men, SJP has to rely solely on her single ladies — a demo that spends the entire movie wishing they were watching Carrie Bradshaw. Which is why, although I hate the idea, another “Sex and the City” is the smartest move she can make. Because at the end of the day, Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t a movie star … but Carrie Bradshaw is!

I feel more at peace knowing others feel exactly the same way I do. I see Sarah Jessica in any movie and I want to smack her, I?m so annoyed with her for picking such bad roles. Then I see her in ?Sex and the City? and want to be her BFF forever. Yeah I know what I just said. And I mean it. Her aversion to Carrie-type characters really isn?t doing her career any favors. Playing a bunch of cold, shrill women doesn?t endear her to anyone. At one point during the trailer I accidentally laughed when there was a comedic pause obviously meant to force people into an uncomfortable chuckle. Which is exactly what I did in my knee-jerk reaction. I was so mortified I clasped my hands over my mouth as if trying to grab that laugh and shove it back in. I can?t imagine how harshly I was judged for that. I felt cheap and tricked, and really, why would I want to pay $12.50 for that when I can get it for free?

Looking as if she may be ready to add to her brood, Halle Berry is reportedly expecting another child with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
According to Life & Style, the Oscar-winning actress is already three months along in the pregnancy of what will be her second child.
Of the big news, Life & Style’s source tells, “Halle is overjoyed. The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination.”

She’s well-known in both the Hollywood and fashion scenes, but Mary Kate Olsen recently told press that not even she is immune to bad style decisions.
Describing a time she was caught by the paparazzi looking less-than-a-list, she explained, “There was a photo of me with weird sunglasses on and a green sweatshirt, some striped thing, with tights and cowboy boots. Something really random where in some sense it’s me.”
Olsen continued, “To this day, I have never read the article. I just saw the photo and thought, ‘God, I look crazy in that photograph!’”

It’s finally happening- “Sex and the City 2” began filming today (September 1) in New York City and none other than Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted reporting for duty.
The “Failure to Launch” babe looked lovely as she strolled around the Manhattan set, sporting a white dress with animal print heels and a super-voluminous hairdo.
“Sex and the City2” comes after a massively successful “Sex and the City: The Movie” which gave fans a chance to see what their four favorite ladies had been up to since the HBO series ended.
And all of the usual suspects will return in the new flick, scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on May 28th, 2010.

We’re used to seeing him in brooding, dramatic roles, but this time around Ryan Phillippe is trying his hand at the comedy genre.
The “Cruel Intentions” actor was spotted on the set of his new project “MacGruber” (based on the Saturday Night Live sketches) yesterday (August 31) in Albuquerque, New Mexico along with costar Kristen Wiig.
SNL actor Bill Hader recently told press he’s excited to see the sketch get played out in a full-length film and can’t wait for the final product.
“I read the script, and it’s like a hard-R comedy, and it totally works. It’s hilarious. It’s kind of in the vein of, like, eighties action movies, like there’s a very definitive bad guy. I don’t know if I can talk about the plot too much, but it’s hilarious. The thing that kind of blew my mind about it is that it’s like a HARD-R movie. I was like, ‘What is this? This is f***ing ugly. You guys are really going to do this?’ And they’re like, ‘Yup.’ And I was like, ‘That is awesome. That is f***ing hilarious.”

Over the weekend, an early excerpt of Demi Moore?s interview in French Marie Claire came out. I honestly thought that Marie Claire might be making up the quotes, because I had never seen Demi Moore go on the defensive quite so much about all of those plastic surgery rumors. Demi said the rumors were ?completely false? and went on to pontificate, ?I?ve never had it done. But I would never judge those who have. If it?s the best thing for them, then I don?t see a problem. I don?t like the idea of having an operation to hold up the ageing process - it?s a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won?t make you happy. That said, the day when I start crying when I look at myself in the mirror might be the day when I?m less adamant about not having it done. But for the moment I prefer to be a beautiful woman of my age than try desperately to look 30.?
As it turns out, Demi actually said that sh-t. And now that everyone is calling her out, she?s sticking with her story. Demi took to Twitter and fought back against the accusations that her face is pulled too tight to tell the truth or whatever:

Following up on her recent denial of going under the knife, Moore responded to some incredulous people on Twitter Monday night insisting that having her three daughters has left her with stretch marks and extra skin.
The avid tweeter replied to someone who claimed that Moore could not go from stretch marks and saggy skin, once on display in an old paparazzi shot of her at the beach, to the fine form she shows off now.
Demi’s response?
“I still have excess skin & stretch marks!”
When someone responded to that remark with disbelief, saying she did not, Moore followed up with, “Ahh hate to break it to you but I do. Comes with having a few kids 4 some of us!”

Ah? it?s not an ?all or nothing? proposition Demi! We could conceivably buy that you?ve only had work done on your face, and not your body. Using the ?stretch mark? defense doesn?t really answer the question of ?why is your forehead pulled so tight you look like you have a receding hairline??
I?ll say this again - I don?t really care that Demi has had some work done. She looks beautiful, she seems happy, good for her and God bless. It?s the lies I hate. The lies, and the idea that she thinks we?re too dumb to notice. I hate that.

The “Take a Bow” songstress looked to be having a marvelous time as she spent the day at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California.
During her time at the amusement park, Ri-Ri gradually worked up the courage to give it a go on Tatsu, one of the craziest roller coasters on the planet.
The Tatsu is made up of 3,602 feet of blazing track and reaches speeds of up to 62 miles per hour on 263-foot plunges.

After breaking up with Leonardo DiCaprio earlier this summer, Bar Refaeli, 24, has been seen out and about with Teddy Sagi, one of Israeli?s 30 richest men. He?s also one of Gisele Bundchen?s exes, but never mind about the whiff of Single White Female in the air. Bar Refaeli has given an interview to Hello Magazine about what she looks for in a man, how she doesn?t diet, and how she gets bored easily. In one part of the interview (that I didn’t transcribe), she goes on and on about her contract with Reebok, so I think that was the point of the interview - a little promotional duties. She’s trying to convince us that her figure comes from working out (wearing Reebok!) and not dieting herself into oblivion:
Bar Refaeli?s ideal man is ?someone who has family values, has a sense of humor, loves life, is intelligent, giving and understanding?.
?I don?t feel the need to be super skinny, but being in shape is important. But even if I wasn?t in this industry I would still want to look after myself and be healthy and keep my body in good condition,? Bar says.
On working out before the Sports Illustrated shoot: ?I always want to look my best on a shoot, or for a fashion show, so I do an extra couple of sit-ups the night before and I drink hot water with lemon to get my metabolism kick-started in the morning and to cleanse my system, but I don?t do anything crazy.?
?There?s nothing worse than forcing yourself to spend hours in the gym when you don?t enjoy it, so I do all sorts of things to work out because I get bored easily.
?I don?t diet and I don?t have an eating plan, but I like to eat healthily. I don?t deny myself anything and there?s nothing I wouldn?t eat. I like desserts - I like food full-stop, but I exercise and I?m young, so everything keeps in check.?
Bar denies dieting before a swimsuit shoot or Victoria?s Secret catwalk show, saying ?I guess every girl has days where she feels good and days where she feels she could lose a couple of pounds, and it?s the same for me, I?m generally in pretty good shape, but if I have a major shoot or fashion show coming up and I want to look my best, then I?ll spend a little extra time working out or I?ll stick to eating salads and chicken for a few days. I would never go on some crazy fad diet or eat anything weird to get thinner - it?s just not good for your body.?

Meh. If it was another model, I would be tempted to think she was lying, but my guess is that Bar is probably telling the truth about not doing crash diets. She has a healthy-looking, athletic figure, so I?ll buy that she can probably eat what she wants and then just burn it off through work outs. That being said, did you notice that she seems to differentiate between just eating salads for a week and going on a ?fad? diet? Seems like she does go on targeted diets for specific photo shoots, she just doesn?t call it a diet.

Brad Pitt left the south of France yesterday to go on some kind of charitable/sightseeing trip to Spain. Brad visited the urban renewal site designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in Aviles, in northern Spain (see photos here). He took a formal tour of the project with several architects, and the Alives mayor gave some nice quotes about Brad?s visit to the press:
Brad Pitt, who is taking part in a project to rebuild Hurricane Katrina-scarred New Orleans, toured the site where the Oscar Niemyer Cultural Centre, Aviles mayor Pilar Varela said. He went round with a group of architects on Sunday.
“He is interested in supporting the project, the cultural as well as the architectural aspects,” Varela told reporters.
The building is being erected in a port area in what was the centre of the city’s steel industry in the 1950s before it fell into decline.
It will feature an auditorium, a sight-seeing tower, an exhibition centre and a large outdoor square that will serve as a venue for cultural activities when it opens in 2010.
Local officials hope it will revive Aviles the way the opening of the Frank Gehry-designed Guggenheim museum helped transform the Basque city of Bilbao from a rusty industrial backwater into a cultural capital over a decade ago.
Pitt was especially interested in the aspects of the project aimed at boosting environmental sustainability, said Varela.
“This is why Brad Pitt has came to visit the site,” she said, adding it was too soon to say how the star of Quentin Tarantino’s latest release, “Inglourious Basterds”, would participate in the project.
Pitt’s “Make It Right Project” calls for 150 homes to be built in the area of New Orleans where levees broke, and floodwater pushed homes from their foundations, when Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005.
Niemeyer’s most famous works include Brazil’s futuristic capital city Brasilia and his flying saucer-shaped museum in Niteroi, just across the bay from Rio de Janeiro.

Meanwhile, the tabloids are still ringing the bell for a Brangelina split, of course. On Friday, we covered In Touch Weekly?s version, and I just read Star Magazine?s version, which is strikingly similar. A lot of stuff based on Brad saying ?the greater the love, the greater the loss? - which seems to be the siren call of split stories. A family insider told Star Magazine, ?Brad told Angelina point-blank that love is not forever. Brad said he knows that they will always be connected because of the children but that he isn?t sure that things will work between them in the long run.? Star?s source also claims Angelina is ?desperate? to work on their relationship, and that she?s persuaded Brad to start over. The article goes on to say that their French estate is a good place for them to reconnect (difficult if Brad is in Spain, but whatever), and from what their neighbors hear, ?they are not shouting or arguing.? Nosy neighbors, eh?
Also, I finally read the full text of last week?s OK! Magazine cover story about Brad ?sleeping on the couch? in France because he and Angelina are fighting all the time. There are a few more interesting pieces of information that weren?t included in the online version. One of Brad and Angelina?s recurring fights seems to be about her father, Jon Voight. I?ve read before that Brad has been pushing Angelina to reconnect with her dad, but in most of Angelina?s recent interviews, she hedges on the question of whether she and her dad really talk, or if they check in with each other, that sort of stuff.
OK!?s source claims, ?Brad risked alienating Angie by insisting she let go of old resentments and get back on speaking terms with Jon? Brad wants his kids to know their grandfather and bond with him.? After making some half-hearted efforts, Angelina has ?vowed to make good on her mom?s dying wish that Jon make amends? for the $180,000 worth of back child support owed to Marcheline Bertrand. For Angelina, it?s ?the principle that matters.? The part about the back child support is true- it was in Marcheline?s will. And I don?t blame Angelina for standing on principle about it, either. That?s a lot of money to owe in back child support.
What I don?t buy is that Brad is trying to push Angelina into any kind of relationship with Jon Voight. That man just gets crazier and crazier, and I think that even Brad realizes that just because he has a close relationship with his parents, doesn?t mean everyone should and can. Voight?s latest controversy was his appearance on Mike Huckabee?s Fox News show over the weekend. I don?t even want to quote him, he?s so f-cking delusional. Just watch the crazy eyes and tell me if you would let him around your children.

While out and about in Beverly Hills yesterday (August 31), Renee Zellweger was involved in a minor car accident.
According to a report, the “Bridget Jones’ Diary” babe was uninjured during the incident which was said to have occurred in the morning hours.
A police officer told press, “A green Ford Explorer made an illegal U-turn in front of her silver Mercedes. Ms. Zellweger was not injured, the damage to her car was very minor. She was very polite and sincere.”
The officer added, “The incident will be handled between their insurance companies. Ms. Zellweger requested her car be towed from the scene, and also requested that officers call her a cab.”
