Joaquin Phoenix wasn’t joking when he announced he was retiring from acting to focus on his music career. The Hollywood Reporter says that not only is he plowing ahead with his new career path, but his brother-in-law Casey Affleck will document Phoenix’s journey to become the world’s next rap superstar. Oh, yea. I forgot to mention. Joaquin Phoenix wants to be a rapper.
Phoenix is embarking on a new path as a rapper, with an album to be produced by Sean Combs. He is scheduled to make his first public performance Friday at a Las Vegas club, which will officially kick off Affleck’s shoot.
Um. Really? I thought the only white people who dreamed of becoming rappers were suburban kids with no lyrical talent whatsoever. Now you’re telling me 34-year-old Oscar-nominated actors have this same dream? Consider my mind blown. If Joaquin starts wearing gold chains with big dollar symbols around his neck, then I’ll have no choice but to go to every one of his concerts and throw my used boxers at him.

Tom Hanks has come out in full-force for gay rights, adding his name to the list of pro-gay-marriage celebs like Charlize Theron, Ellen DeGeneres, Brad Pitt and Anne Hathaway. At the premiere for HBO?s new season of Big Love (Did you know Hanks executive produced that show? I didn?t.), Hanks mouthed off to a Fox News columnists about how much he hates that the Mormon Church gave so much money to push Prop 8 through. He?s actually really eloquent about the issue.
We didn’t know he had it in him! The normally mild-mannered Tom Hanks had some surprisingly strong words for the Mormon [Church] on Wednesday.
The executive producer of HBO’s drama about polygamy, Big Love, called parts of the church ‘un-American’ for supporting Prop 8. “The truth is these people are some bizarre offshoot of the Mormon Church,” he told Fox News’s Poptarts column at the show’s premiere party, “and the truth is a lot of Mormons gave a lot of money to the church to make Prop-8 happen.?
?There are a lot of people who feel that is un-American and I am one of them,” the star said of the anti gay-marriage law. “I do not like to see any discrimination codified on any piece of paper, any of the 50 states in America, but here’s what happens now.?
“A little bit of light can be shed and people can see who’s responsible and that can motivate the next go around of our self correcting constitution and hopefully we can move forward instead of backwards. So lets have faith in not only the American, but Californian constitutional process.?

If Tom Hanks is against you, you need to rethink your position. Hanks is like the Walter Cronkite of this generation - he represents the middle-of-the-road, the lovable centrist in all of us. It?s interesting (to me) that most pro-gay-marriage Californians have absolute faith that the California courts will overturn Prop 8. I usually don?t go in for ?activist judge? conspiracy theories, but there?s certainly a possibility that the courts won?t overturn Prop 8. Perhaps all of these celebrities should put their money where their mouths are, and pay for a real media campaign to educate and inform about gay marriage.

The stress of whatever is going on in her relationship with Samantha Ronson must really be getting to Lindsay Lohan. In photos from yesterday and today, the actress looks alarmingly thin. She?s had issues with her weight in the past and has admitted there were times where she was way too thin. But then she put on a little weight and looked a lot better for it. However now she?s back to rail thin ? the Daily Mail points out her thighs aren?t much bigger than her calves. And because she?s always wearing leggings from her clothing line, you can really see just how scary skinny she is.
However, new pictures show the 22-year-old has lost her curves again as she stepped out in Los Angeles earlier this week. Wearing a pair of skinny jeans, Lindsay’s thighs looked almost as slim as her calves as she strolled along the street in Beverly Hills yesterday.
Teaming her jeans with a black vest, checked shirt and shoe boots, Lindsay looked gaunt as she perused the designer stores. Joining Lindsay on her shopping expedition in 90210, was Samantha. Later that evening, Lindsay showed her thin frame even more in a pair of leggings from her own fashion range 6126 and a grey jumper. As she stepped out from her car, the actress looked slimmer than she has done in years.
After her weight plummeted in 2005 and she was admitted to hospital, Lindsay admitted she had become ‘too thin’. In a 2006 interview with Vanity Fair magazine, Lindsay said she realised she was too skinny when she watched herself host U.S. comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live. She told the publication: ‘My arms were disgusting. I had no arms. My sister, she was scared. My brother called me, crying. I was sick. Everyone was scared. And I was scared too. I had people sit me down and say, “You’re going to die if you don’t take care of yourself.”‘

The Daily Mail points out the Lindsay was photographed eating and buying food yesterday. Which doesn?t prove a whole lot in my mind. Okay she?s still eating to some extent, and in public. That doesn?t say much about what might be going on in private. Obviously the ever-present Lohan leggings are going to make her look thinner than a pair of regular jeans, but she?s been wearing the leggings constantly for the last year or so. She never looked emaciated like this. At first when I looked at her I thought it wasn?t that bad because she still has her boobs. But then of course implants don?t shrink with weight loss.
Lindsay definitely needs to make sure her health is priority one. Samantha is super skinny too, but she seems to have a more boyish type body. Lindsay is naturally fairly curvy. Hopefully she?ll realize her health is even more important than her relationship issues, and she?ll focus on that first.

Naomi Campbell has settled out of court with her former maid in a civil suit stemming from an alleged beating after a pair of Naomi’s designer jeans went missing. Although Campbell was arrested for assault immediately following the attack, she was never brought up on criminal charges in the incident. Gaby Gibson, who worked as Campbell’s maid for what I’m sure was a nightmarish three months, then filed a civil suit against the model in Manhattan. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but according to a statement, both sides are pleased with the outcome.
Naomi Campbell has ended her legal tussle with a former maid who accused the supermodel of hitting her and calling her names.
Terms of the settlement are confidential, but a lawyer for the 38-year-old Campbell says both sides were pleased with the outcome.
A lawyer for Gaby Gibson, who worked for Campbell from November 2005 through January 2006, didn’t immediately return a message asking for comment.
Gibson claimed in her lawsuit, filed in Manhattan, that the British catwalker also threatened to charge her with theft after being unable to find a pair of designer jeans.
Campbell denied the claims. She was never charged with any crime in the incident Gibson alleged.

Just to be clear - this is the incident in which Campbell assaulted Gibson by throwing a cell phone at her head, causing an injury that required four stitches. Not the 2000 incident in which Campbell beat up one of her personal assistants while on a Toronto film set, or the 2007 charge of assaulting a police officer at Heathrow Airport. I know - it is hard to keep up with all of Naomi’s assault charges, that’s why I’m here to help!
I do wonder how she gets away with it. She’s a supermodel, not a cage fighter. The woman has twig arms and never eats. I’d like to see her try to chuck a cell phone at MY head. I’d have that bitch in a headlock with her stupid little pug face in the dirt faster than you can say “Bulimia.” Anyway, I hope this maid got a good chunk of change for her trouble. I wonder if Naomi’s managed to hire a new maid?

Jennifer Aniston may ? may ? have finally wised up and gotten rid of John Mayer. I am not an Aniston hater or lover, so there?s no secret anti/pro Brangelina agenda going on here. But I was never a fan of Jen dating John Mayer. His reputation makes it fairly clear that he was probably just wasting her time. It would have been cute if somehow Jen had been the one to change him, but I really don?t think Mayer can be changed.
Jen was spotted out last night with a very handsome gentleman, that according to Ted Casablanca at E!, is a much better looking guy than John Mayer. And it appeared they were on a date from the man?s body language, though he could have just been Jennifer?s colleague. Nonetheless, I?m excited at the potential.
Jennifer Aniston was surely looking as if she was doing something, or someone, naughty last night at Chateau Marmont. An utterly radiant, glowing, just-washed-that-hanger-on-stinky-pop-star-outta-my-fabulously-coiffed hair Jen was dashing down to the valet last night giggling. Of course, the garage was closed to the common folk, but eager parking peeps couldn’t wait to service the gal Brad got tired of servicing all those years ago.
But it wasn’t Jen’s preferential treatment that had folks gabbing, but her companion:
J.A. was “absolutely radiant and ravishing” as she held tight to her man-date, exiting the posh bad-girl’s hang for babes like Sienna and Lindsay. And he wasn’t one of her gay pals or John Mayer, thong-wearer and dubious starlet escort. Nope, the guy in questions was a taller, darker and handsomer babe who held his honey tight, protected and away from peeping eyeballs like yours and mine.
In fact, we’re assured the mystery man is mucho miles ahead of Mayer in the looks department, so maybe there’s hope for Ms. A. one-upping that bitch Angie, after all, let’s pray, OK?

The only sorta-questionable thing about the guy is that Casablanca says he was wearing makeup. He emphasizes again that the gentleman is not one of Jen?s gay friends, but there was makeup, nonetheless. He didn?t specify what it was, and to me that makes a difference. I mean are we talking guyliner or rouge? Or a full out Mac face? Jen?s people didn?t respond to requests for the guy?s name or relationship to the actress.
It?s been a month since Jennifer and John Mayer were photographed together. That?s a considerable amount of time. A lot of people speculated that the pair only rekindled their relationship for the ?Marley and Me? publicity. If so, it worked fairly well, though people track Jen?s love life with an obsessive zeal no matter who she?s dating. Overall, it?s not totally safe to say their relationship is over, but I?m hopeful Jen?s moved on to better dudes.

So Joaquin Phoenix was absolutely serious when he wrote out ?Bye Good? on his knuckles and stumbled down the red carpet for what will be his last film, Two Lovers. Joaquin is quitting the business - no more acting, no more Oscar nominations, no more having to work with Gwyneth Paltrow. But he still wants to be in front of the camera for some reason - as the subject of a documentary, filmed by his long-time friend Casey Affleck.
Casey Affleck will get behind a camera lens to track the musical career of fellow actor Joaquin Phoenix, who portrayed Johnny Cash in “Walk the Line.”
Affleck is directing a documentary feature on his friend and brother-in-law Phoenix, who in the fall announced his retirement from the thespian business in order to focus on a music career.
Phoenix is embarking on a new path as a rapper, with an album to be produced by Sean Combs. He is scheduled to make his first public performance Friday at a Las Vegas club, which will officially kick off Affleck’s shoot.

Oh, God. A rap career? Produced by Puffy? How in God?s name did this happen? Joaquin has two (deserved) Oscar nominations, one for Best Supporting Actor for playing the corrupt and morally bankrupt emperor in Gladiator. The second nomination was for his amazing portrait of Johnny Cash in Walk the Line, for which Joaquin took musical and singing classes. In my mind, a career in some sort of western-pop-rock music wouldn?t be so far off base for Joaquin, but a rap career? Please no. However, I bet the documentary will be really juicy - and sad.

Stupid is as stupid does, people. What’s the #1 thing you never, EVER, bring to the airport? An incendiary device! DING! DING! DING! But if you’re Johnny Knoxville douchebaggery comes naturally. MSNBC gives the details of what happened:
Johnny Knoxville, star of the “Jackass” TV show and movies, was detained Thursday at Los Angeles International Airport for allegedly possessing an inert hand grenade in a carry-on bag, an airport official said.
Knoxville, 38, of Malibu, was going through passenger security screening when a Transportation Security Administration officer saw the image of a hand grenade in his carry-on bag, said Nancy Castles of Los Angeles World Airports.
Airport Police and the Los Angeles Police Department Bomb Squad were called, and it was determined the grenade had no explosives or firing pin, she said.
Knoxville whose real name is John Philip Clapp, told Airport Police the hand grenade was a prop from one of his photo shoots and that he had forgotten it was in his bag, Castles said.
I would normally say I hoped he got a full cavity search, but then again, he’d probably actually enjoy it, then do it again so he could get it on video.

While I was not convinced that it was such a great idea but Eva Longoria did go on the stage at the VMA in 2005 wearing a Shay Tood swimsuit. In my opinion, swimsuits are ideal outfits when you are going swimming or will at least be in a place that you could come in contact with water like a pool or the beach. There are much better ways to get dressed when going anywhere else and that is why it just seems that Adrianne Curry is nothing but desperate to get attention.

While billion-dollar bilker Bernie Madoff remains under “house arrest” in his swank Park Avenue apartment after swindling investors out of $50 billion, actor Kevin Bacon and his family are trying to figure out how they wound up with nothing but real estate ownings and their checking accounts. Bacon spoke about being a Madoff Ponzi scheme recently, capping off his comments by saying that he could really use some work right now.
Kevin Bacon and wife Kyra Sedgwick were among the celebrities taken to the cleaners in the alleged Ponzi scheme run by disgraced financier Bernard Madoff, but Kevin tells Life & Style he’s trying to keep his losses in perspective.
“There are a lot of things I’m grateful for: my health, my family, my career, my family’s health,” he told Life & Style Friday at a Television Critics Association press event in LA. “We’ll march on. We have to. There’s nothing you can do about it. You can’t change what happened. Things could be worse. You remember that, and you go on with your life.
But Kevin was shocked by the news of Madoff’s scam. “I didn’t see it coming,” he said.
Asked by Life & Style what he’s currently working on, Kevin replied: “I don’t have anything lined up right now, but I need to work, for obvious reasons.”

Kevin certainly wasn’t the only person, or even the only celeb affected by the scheme, but it sounds like he’s one of the hardest hit. It’s not like he had Steven Spielberg money or something. At least he had some money and real estate - but with this economy, real estate isn’t what it used to be either. But Kevin seems to be keeping a sense of humor about the whole thing - he even starred in a short film on Will Ferrell’s “Funny or Die” website, a spoof of the prank show “Punk’d” poking fun at his role in the Madoff scandal, called “BACON’D.”

Given that Kevin has acted in literally hundreds of movies - many of them good - something will turn up for him soon. In the meantime, given that his wife, Kyra Sedgewick, is the star of cable’s number one show, “The Closer,” I’m sure these two will do just fine.

I?ve always thought it was a little weird that Alias co-stars Jennifer Garner and Victor Garber are so close. He seems to be something of a mentor/surrogate father/best friend to Garner, he one of the few friends that The Garner-Affleck?s invited to their wedding, and he often gives quotes to the press on their behalf. So, of course, Garber chimed in about the newest addition to the family Affleck, little Seraphina Rose Elizabeth. Garber also announced to OK! that he?s going to meet the baby very soon - he?s now like a surrogate grandfather!

It?s a pleasant surprise that Garber and Garner are truly this close, but it seems like an unconventional way to handle the media. Maybe Garner and Affleck feel more comfortable announcing things through Garber, maybe they think it seems friendlier or more like a family. Anyhoo, I really hope the little girl gets the nickname ?Sera? rather than ?Phina?. That sounds better, doesn?t it? Victor Garber will meet little Sera soon.

Ellen DeGeneres is finally getting her wish! After months of lobbying, George Clooney has agreed to appear on Ellen?s show. To get him on, Ellen parlayed several of her guests into helping her get Clooney on the show. Brad Pitt even suggested that Ellen hire Chippendale dancers to lure Clooney. After all of that, George finally agreed, and even complained that people were coming up to him, asking why he hadn?t gone on Ellen?s show. What?s still up in the air is whether Clooney will appear on one of the final episodes of ER.
All season long, since moving into new headquarters on the Warner Bros. lot, Ellen DeGeneres has had one goal in mind: get George Clooney on the show. She even enlisted the aid of Brad Pitt ? which didn?t help much.
Finally, with her New Year’s motto “George is Mine in ‘09,” the talk-show host got what she was after, with Clooney’s appearance set to air Monday.
“Have people been informing you every step of the way of what we’ve done [to get you here]?” the ever-demure DeGeneres asks Clooney.
“Informing me is not really what I would call what my office has been doing. Ah, complaining,” he replies. “They were a little concerned when that marching band came in. ? The trombone player hurt someone, as always.”
Apparently what did do the trick in leading Clooney to the studio door was DeGeneres’s decision to follow the advice of the leading man’s former ER costar Noah Wyle ? who advised her to also invite former Cincinnati Reds, Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan, on the show.
Though that, possibly, wasn’t the only reason.
Says Clooney: “People do come up to me all the time and say, ‘What’s wrong with you, man? Why don’t you go on Ellen’s show?’ [And] I say I haven’t been in town, which I haven’t been in town for a long time. I haven’t really ?” He then dissolves into laughter.
Besides doing The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Clooney may do a parting shot as Dr. Doug Ross during the 15th and final season of ER, according to the show’s executive producer John Wells.
Speaking to reporters Thursday at a Television Critics Association panel, Wells said, “George is very busy [but] we’ve talked about it a couple times.” Reps for Clooney have not confirmed the appearance.

Why is Clooney still playing hard to get with ER? He made a special cameo several years ago, but that was really hush-hush. So there?s a possibility that Clooney has had already decided to come back, and the producers want to surprise people. As far as going on Ellen?s show, that?s just good business, and Ellen had drawn out the joke long enough.

Jackass star Johnny Knoxville was detained by LAX security after a grenade was discovered in his carry-on bag. The Los Angeles bomb squad was called and determined that while the grenade was real, it lacked explosives and a firing pin. Knoxville claimed it was a prop from a movie and that he forgot it was in his bag. He was cited for carrying a “prohibited item” and was subsequently allowed to board his flight.
In my opinion, airport security is too strict. First they don’t let you bring your own soda and now they won’t allow grenades in your carry-on. What’s next? No Uzis under your black trench coat or knives hidden in your boots? Bunch of fascists.

I know you all have been holding your collective breath waiting to hear Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s baby’s name. People had the exclusive news:
A week after their second daughter’s birth, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have announced her name, Garner’s reps tell PEOPLE exclusively.
It is Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.
The baby was born Jan. 6 in Los Angeles. Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to daughter Violet, 3.
While no explanation was offered for the name, or if she was named for anyone, one Web site specializing in the origin of names refers to Seraphina as “derived from the Biblical word ’seraphim,’ which was Hebrew in origin and meant ‘fiery ones.’ “
Well, they could have done a lot worse. If they call her Sera that won’t be weird at all. They could’ve named her the feminine form ‘Kin-tan-tee’, whatever that would be.

According to The National Enquirer, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are engaged but John is reluctant to actually set a date. They also claim that Aniston is trying to pressure the notorious ladies man to set a date for the wedding by not letting him stay over and absolutely not permitting him to move in. John has two roommates in LA, a married couple, and would probably welcome the change to Aniston’s palatial mansion. That’s not a possibility, though, and she’s supposedly making sure he knows his place:

“Jen is holding John’s feet to the fire,” a friend of the actress told The Enquirer.

As The Enquirer exclusively reported in December, Jen revealed to pals that their wedding was back on, with a star-studded ceremony set for later this year.

It sounds like the Enquirer has solid information about how much Mayer stays over, probably from the paparazzi who follow him to his hotel. I can’t see Mayer inviting Aniston to move into his place though due to his roommates, which is something the article failed to mention.
This take on Aniston and Mayer’s relationship is similar to an article in last week’s Life & Style which claimed that they had commitment issues because they stayed in separate nearby resorts during their holiday vacation in Mexico.
I really doubt that these two are engaged or even if the subject of cohabitation has come up. If it’s true that Mayer isn’t staying over Aniston’s house maybe it’s his own choice. A lot of commitment phobe guys don’t like staying over. If Aniston is the one putting her foot down, good for her. Maybe she learned something from working on that He’s Just Not That Into You movie. ‘Kate wanted to involve her friends Sir Philip Green and David Tang in the arranging, but Jamie felt he should have a bigger say as he?s her man.’
Jamie sat back and let Kate to sort out his 40th birthday surprise just before Christmas, so he thought it would be nice if he had a hand in the organisation this time.
‘Kate hates a party that goes wrong, so she wanted to be in control. She wanted to spend her birthday at her favourite places - drinks at the Dorchester and dinner at the hotel?s restaurant China Tang.

Kate has traditionally held huge birthday parties, last year attempting to party for 34 hours, one for each year of her life. She managed 18. I like that, as someone who works in a competitive industry that values youth, she celebrates her birthday.
I can think of several reasons why Kate might be partying at home. Firstly, she?s been photographed with an engagement ring, so maybe there?s going to be a formal announcement that she?d like to make to her family and friends privately. She?s been looking mighty ?bloated? lately, so she might be announcing a pregnancy, which again she could want to keep private.
But a tiny cynical part of me can?t help but assume that cocaine Kate doesn?t want any more of those pictures showing up in the British tabloids, and if she is pregnant, she?d like to drink and smoke without anyone knowing.

Three weeks ago, we ran a story that originated in the National Enquirer that claimed that Regis Philbin was not providing assistance to his disabled son and daughter-in-law, who were reduced to borrowing money from friends in order to buy groceries. Danny Philbin is Regis’ son from his first marriage, and is bound to a wheelchair due to a spinal cord birth defect and an amputation made necessary by his condition. Danny is college educated and used to hold a job at the Pentagon, but had to move to California and give up his job after his mother in law was injured in Hurricane Katrina and needed a drier climate. He gets by making handcrafts like light switch covers and selling them at craft fairs, but it costs money to rent booths that he can no longer afford.
We had a lively discussion on that Regis thread when a man claiming to be Danny chimed in and talked about how his relationship with dad Regis is strained. Given the commenter’s tone, the information he shared, and the fact that his IP address was from the exact area that the Enquirer said he lived, I believe it was Danny Philbin. Danny said that he and his wife didn’t approach the Enquirer to sell their story and that the Enquirer contacted them after seeing a local story about it. He also said that while his father will give him money occasionally, he doesn’t like to go to him as their relationship is strained:
this Enquierer thing grew out of an article in my local paper about wheelchair inaccessibility where I was trying to get employed by an ?Equal Opportunity Employer.? The Enquirer got hold of the story, called us, and we told the truth. My father helps me, but it hurts me to ask him for more when Ineed it.. I cannot handle his demeanor when asking for some extra help. We asked not out of ?want,? but ?need.? Think of me what you will; my wife and I have to have, at least, our medications. Oh, neither the TV stations, or anyone else, wants to piss Regis off. They haven?t called me and I will not put more strain on the relationship btwn me and my father. He does and has done plenty for me, all I asked for was some extra help.

According to the latest edition of the National Enquirer, Regis has helped Danny out. Danny’s wife, Judy, claims that Regis and his wife Joy contacted them after reading the article. Regis supposedly wasn’t aware of Danny’s difficult circumstances and of course the multi-millionaire takes care of his own:
After seeing the Enquirer article, Regis promised to take care of the couple’s mounting financial problems, Judy says.
“That God, Regis and Danny have reconciled,” said Judy Philbin. “The story in the Enquirer about our difficulties made all the difference.
“Regis and his wife Joy read about our desperate situation and reached out to us.
“Regis said, ‘I had no idea things were so bad until I read The Enquirer story.
“‘Danny knows I love him. Why didn’t he just call me?’
“All I could tell Regis is that Danny felt so angry and upset about his job situation and the difficulties in his life that he found it hard to communicate with is father. Danny felt hurt and angry, and blamed some of it on his dad.
“But now - knowing Regis loves him and stands behind him - Danny is feeling much better.”

The guy claiming to be Danny who commented here was pretty abrasive and got defensive and personal with some commenters, which made it seem even more likely that it was really him. He said after working for government there was no way he would apply for disability or supplemental security income as he didn’t want a handout. It looks like his dad has stepped in to help him out at a time when he really needed it. A lot of families have long standing feuds and it’s hard to judge from the outside what’s going on. Many commenters vilified Regis for not supporting his son, but there’s probably a lot more going on in that relationship that we don’t know about.

Jackass star Johnny Knoxville hasn’t made headlines in a while. According to IMDB he has one film coming out next year, a movie based on a graphic novel called Hawaiian Dick. Other than that he’s not really in demand. When I first heard about this incident I thought it might be a publicity stunt as it seems to have come at a convenient time for him. TMZ reports that Knoxville had a grenade in his hand luggage at LAX airport but was somehow forgiven by security and allowed to board his flight. As if that would happen for anyone but a celebrity:
UPDATE: We’ve learned the “grenade” found in Knoxville’s bag was the real deal — but had no explosives. In other words, it was not a toy.
Only a jackass brings a grenade to an airport — and cops say that’s exactly what Johnny Knoxville did today.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Knoxville was detained this morning at LAX after security found a fake grenade in his carry-on bag. He was in terminal 4 (American Airlines) when a screener saw something suspicious.
Knoxville was detained, cited and released. We’re told the citation was for carrying a “prohibited item” into an airport.
But check this — Knoxville made his flight.

Knoxville explains the incident on his blog. He says he didn’t bring the grenade on purpose and didn’t even know it was there. It was a prop for a show that was put there by an assistant who packed his luggage:
A few days ago, I was filming some commercials for this show we are doing for MTV called Nitro Circus, so I took a bunch of silly props in my carry-on bag to the shoot. Well, when the shoot was over, the wardrobe girl packed my luggage so I could go home and, unbeknownst to me, she packed a FAKE hand grenade (a prop grenade that I?d taken to the shoot) in the front zipper of my luggage. Needless to say, when I was packing to go out of town this morning with my girlfriend and daughter, I didn?t see the FAKE grenade in my luggage.
Ah fuck was I bummed when I realized what had happened? The cops did their job and verified that it wasn?t real. Also, they were cool as they could be to me, considering the situation, and it is no ones fault but my own. I should have checked my goddamn luggage through and through, but I didn?t and now we have this incident. From what I hear, all the tabloids are saying it was a real grenade, but that?s bullshit. They just said that to make a story out of it, because if it was real I never would have been allowed to board my flight to Miami an hour later. Anyway, it was a mistake, and I just landed at the Miami airport. Damn.

That explains why he was allowed on the flight anyway, which sounds like the right thing for the TSA people to have done. How would they have responded to that same scenario with a non-celebrity, though? We’ve heard a lot of speculation that Britney Spears isn’t ready to embark on her world tour, which starts March 3 and features 44 performances in 33 cities over 14 weeks. It’s a lot for even the most seasoned and motivated performer to endure.
Britneys two long term choreographers quit just last month. Then her former music manager went on the record with US Magazine to express his reservations at how she’s being pushed to perform when he feels she’s just not ready. It’s been just a year since Britney’s high profile breakdown and it seemed like the moment she started to clean up and work on herself she was thrust back into the spotlight again.
According to the National Enquirer, Britney knows the tour is going to be a lot to handle and she’s threatening to drop out. She’s said to feel overwhelmed by the pressure and annoyed at her ex, K-Fed, who is pitching a reality show based on tagging along with Britney’s tour:
Britney Spears has infuriated her father and ex-husband by threatening to abandon her $100 million concert tour - throwing her comeback into chaos…
“Britney doesn’t want to do it, and she’s telling her father Jamie that,” an insider tells the Enquirer. “All the dates are booked - and $100 million would be lost if she bails…

Jennifer Lopez was without her wedding ring again for the red carpet of the Golden Globes. Don’t jump to conclusions just yet. Naturally, there’s a perfect reasonable explanation. Lopez told In Touch via NYDN:
“Every time I’m not wearing my ring, people think I’m getting divorced. That’s crazy! It just didn’t go with the dress.”
Well, duh. Wearing a $1 million 8.2 carat platinum engagement ring to the Golden Globes when you have gold on is clearly a fashion faux pas.
NYDN notes that it doesn’t explain why she didn’t wear it for the premiere of Benjamin Button when she wore white or why she had it on last time she wore gold jewelery.
A more reasonable explanation is that Jennifer Lopez is getting divorced and she’s a lying asshat. Also, she’s a fatty. Probably doesn’t even fit around her pudgy little finger anymore.

So remember when Brooke Shields told reporters that Lipstick Jungles wasn't dead and we all thought she was delusional? Well turns out she wasn't and NBC is still considering this show for the fall according to Stephanie Robbins! NBC announced today they are waiting to see what happens with pilot season before they make a final decsion on the show. I personally like this show, so I hope NBC brings it back! It is better than a lot of the other shows that are currently on their air.
