Emilia Clark is currently promoting her new film, Me Before You, in which she plays opposite a paralyzed Sam Clafin. I don?t generally do these types of romantic movies (I like more ?com? with my ?rom?) but I have a friend angling for me to go to this one. Based on the trailer, I might cave; Sam is just that hot to me in it. The header photo is Emilia at the premiere in a Chloe gown. It certainly is in keeping with the romantic theme for the movie. There is a lot going on with that dress. I like it on the runway but I think it is too waifish for Emilia ? and that neckline belongs on someone under the age of ten.
However, Emilia wore a much prettier green Dolce and Gabbana dress (pictured below) to visit with The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Before they spoke about Me Before You, Colbert asked her about the fire scene in Game of Thrones in which she once again emerged from the flames naked. Naturally, the discussion led to the male full frontal from Sunday?s episode. SPOILERS in the excerpt, btw.
Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, popped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night to touch on the second-most-talked-about thing from Sunday?s episode: the brief moment of male full-frontal nudity.
?I think they heard me,? Clarke said, referring to her demand last month that the show should ?free the penis.?
?Junk equality,? she called it.
The scene on Sunday night?s episode was quick ? and certainly eclipsed in post-show dialogue by the death of Hodor ? and ultimately inconsequential to the storyline. Arya Stark was watching a company of actors, one of whom brandished his penis worrying that he had genital warts.
Still, Clarke seemed satisfied.

Emilia explained that she didn?t use a body double for the flames scene in GoT because she wanted to support Daenerys being shown in a powerful way; she may have been nude but it wasn?t sexual, it was empowering. I really do think Emilia is committed to Daenerys being portrayed as strongly as possible on the show.
Later in the show, Emilia and Stephen had an ?eyebrow-off?, reminiscent of her eyebrow-off with Cara Delevingne on Graham Norton. The eyebrow acting discussion led to talking about her years in drama school where she honed her accent skills. I like Emilia but, well? hmm. I?ll let you decide. By the way, she is doing a ?Jewish Granny? and a ?Southern? accent, bless her heart:

Joaquin Phoenix has been getting photographed every few months in LA this year. He?s not working, but he seems to be keeping busy, taking martial arts classes and picking up cigarettes and energy drinks. Whenever I see pap photos of him, he seems to be doing well enough. But he hasn?t worked in more than a year. His last film was Woody Allen?s Irrational Man, which filmed in the summer of 2014. While Joaquin has flirted with signing on to some big projects ? like Doctor Strange, which Marvel really wanted ? nothing has really happened. And now Star Magazine says that Joaquin?s finances are in shambles and he needs to stop being so picky and/or shady.
Joaquin Phoenix is in talks to play Jesus in a new movie, but he needs divine intervention to turn around his finances!
?Joaquin needs to make $5 million a year to support his lifestyle, and so far this year he?s made zero,? an insider says, explaining that his attitude has so far cost him Jared Leto?s role in Suicide Squad, Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman and even the lead in the Doctor Strange flick out this November.
?Getting him to sign on the dotted line is a nightmare,? says an industry insider. ?He?ll drag out the salary negotiations for months, which holds up production and costs the studios more money in the end.?
Not he?s hoping to get back in the black by playing the son of God in a Mary Magdalene flick costarring Rooney Mara.
?Joaquin is confident he?ll get the part, but it?s not a done deal,? tattles the friend. ?If he starts insisting on things like a feng-shui?d trailer and an on-call vegan chef plus an insane $15 million paycheck, he?s going to lose this role too. And that could mean he?ll be completely out of money by the end of the year.?

I never really think of Joaquin as a demanding diva or a money-strapped spendthrift. Is he temperamental? Sure. Does he believe his indie street cred would be damaged by taking roles in comic book movies? Probably. But is he the guy who blows through $5 million a year? Eh. Is he the guy who spends months arguing for bigger and bigger paychecks? Eh. My guess is that Joaquin argues for more money on films he really doesn?t want to do. Also: while the Doctor Strange thing has been verified, I didn?t know Joaquin was up for the Joker and Lex Luthor. Did he really say no to all three parts? Yikes. He would have been a much better and creepier Joker than Jared Leto.

Here are some photos of Taylor Swift out and about in LA on Tuesday. Fame/Flynet says she was shopping, but I think she was coming out of or going into the gym, just because of her clothing choice here. It?s my guess that Taylor has been looking after Calvin Harris the past few days following his terrible car accident last Friday night, but she needed some ?me time? yesterday.
Meanwhile, did you know that the American neo-Nazi community loves Taylor Swift? There are a series of disturbing stories about and interviews from the ?Aryan race-embracing? community in which some claim that Taylor is an ?Aryan goddess.? Dude, is this just because she bleached the hell out of her hair?
Neo-Nazis have apparently seized upon the most famous blonde-haired, blue-eyed person they could find and ordained her their new “Aryan goddess”: Taylor Swift?award?winning singer Taylor Swift.
“… Taylor Swift is secretly a Nazi and is simply waiting for the time when Donald Trump makes it safe for her to come out and announce her Aryan agenda to the world,” explains 100 percent sane white-supremacist blogger Andre Anglin, according to Broadly. “Probably, she will be betrothed to Trump’s son, and they will be crowned American royalty.”

Fair hair and eyes aside, some believe her idolization in the Nazi community really took root when a teen named Emily Pattinson began posting pictures of Taylor Swift with Hitler quotes on Pinterest as a joke as a way to lampoon inspirational quote culture in 2013. Of course, like most good memes created by teens, her work got coopted and ruined by adults ? in this case the actual neo-Nazi community. In 2009, Swift did face backlash after posing for a photo with a fan in a swastika-print shirt at Katy Perry’s birthday party. Wake up, sheeple …

Let?s be completely fair to Taylor: she has in NO WAY encouraged this sort of thing. These are just jackasses attaching themselves to her image. The Washington Post had a deeper dive into this Taylor-Aryan-goddess thing, and it basically sounds like most Internet conspiracies, with neo-Nazis claiming that they see ?proof? of Taylor?s white supremacist leanings in her music videos, her fashion, her social media. The neo-Nazis believe that Taylor has been ?red-pilled,? meaning that her handlers conceal her true ?secret conservative values? in the name of being politically correct. The only thing ? and I mean this, the ONLY thing ? that could really be used as evidence against Taylor here is her neo-colonialist nightmare music video for ?Wildest Dreams.? But yeah, Taylor is not a white supremacist (she just plays one in a music video). My guess is that her lawyers are already working on a way to shut this sh-t down.

Anne Hathaway is currently promoting her role in Alice Through the Looking Glass, which is why she appeared on The Ellen Show on Tuesday. This was actually her first TV interview since giving birth two months ago, and honestly, I already see a difference in Anne. She?s really sleep-deprived, for one. And as I said yesterday, I think the sleep deprivation is making her kind of punch-drunk. Anyway, she told a story about going back to the gym after she gave birth to her son, Jonathan Rosebanks (who she calls Jonny). Is two months too early to go back to the gym? It?s different for every woman, and I?m sure Anne?s doctors gave her the nod. But still, she really did just give birth, so she had a particularly emotional reaction when some dude made a comment about her ?baby weight.?
Anne Hathaway gave birth only eight weeks ago, so she’s not totally ready to resume some of her normal routines. She did decide, however, that she would go back to the gym, but even that has been tough.
“Being a Mom has changed me in a couple ways. I actually, not based on this moment, but other moments feel a lot more confident. Normally you walk into the gym and you see, I work out in West Hollywood, so you see like Thor’s trainer, you know the people who have too many muscles to be in The Avengers that’s who works out at my gym,” she explains, adding that she has returned to the gym only three times. “So I would normally walk in and feel so intimidated, but I walk in I’m like yeah I work out with 5 pound weights, but I pushed a baby out of my body I feel good right now. So I don’t care what I look like, I feel great. I’m on this [row] machine, whatever that does.”
All of a sudden, someone started to stare at the Oscar-winning star, so at first she thought she was doing something incorrectly and became a little insecure. “I see this guy who does actually look like Thor’s trainer staring at me and I’m like, ‘Oh God. Am I doing something wrong?’” Hathaway recalls. “In the past I just would have slunk off my machine.”
With her new mommy confidence, Hathaway explains that she asked the trainer if everything was OK, and they struck up a short conversation. But it didn’t end there.
“He’s like, ‘So you been working out at this gym for a long time.’ And I’m like oh my God he’s hitting on me. Nice! New mom. I feel really good about myself and I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah I’ve been coming here for a little bit.’ He’s like, ‘Cool, I’m a trainer here and just wondering if you want some pointers.’ And I’m like, Oh no he’s not hitting on you he just wants a job.”
Spoiler alert: He didn’t get the job because instead of giving her the proper response after she revealed she had recently given birth, he body shamed her. “If somebody says I had a baby 13 years ago you say you look great. That is what you do that is the etiquette,” she explains on the show. “So I say to this guy I had a baby seven weeks ago. And he goes, ‘Oh, trying to lose the baby weight!’” Hathaway explains that she kept her cool in the moment, but afterwards she walked away and cried!

To be fair to the dude-face trainer, he didn?t assume that she had just had a baby, he waited until she said it. And he didn?t say, ?Oh, that?s why you look that way.? But yeah, it was rude. Really rude. There?s such an epidemic of rude gym trainers, right? I?ve been going to the same gym for years and I have my routine and I know what I?m doing (for the most part) and I stay in my particular comfort zone. But inevitably, a new trainer will show up and try to tell me what I should be doing in a really patronizing way. Like, ?Oh, do you understand how the treadmill works?? Yes, trust me, I understand. Now go away. As for Anne?s situation, the guy just wanted work and he probably thought he was being helpful. And she should have told him to just go away. Or she could have gone to the manager in tears and gotten the guy fired. Which is a revenge fantasy that has gotten me through many workouts.
