One of the first big gossip stories to come out of Rebel Wilson?s memoir and promotion was that she accused Sacha Baron Cohen of being rude, unpleasant and perhaps even abusive to her. She said that he had spent years trying to intimidate her into staying silent, but she was now naming him as a massive ahole. Cohen suddenly got his lawyers involved and they?ve been threatening Rebel and issuing statements and more. I actually believed Rebel?s story about Cohen and I found it interesting that she seemingly no longer fears him. I don?t think many people fear him anymore. Speaking of, less than two weeks after Rebel named him, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher announced their divorce. It feels related, even though they state that they jointly filed for divorce in 2023.
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have called it quits.
After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage, they said in statements shared on their Instagram Stories on April 5.
We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change, they added. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family?s wish for privacy.
Fisher, 48, and Baron Cohen, 52, married on March 15, 2010, and they share three children.
Baron Cohen and Fisher first met back in 2001 at a party in Sydney, Australia, well before they gained fame for their hit movies, 2006?s Borat and 2005s Wedding Crashers, respectively.
She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party, Baron Cohen recalled of their first meeting in a 2020 interview with The New York Times. I knew instantly. I dont know if she did.
The pair went on to get engaged in 2004, and welcomed their first child three years later.

I don?t think I?ve ever seen any of their children, and I didn?t realize they have three kids (I thought they maybe had two). They apparently have two daughters and a son, between the ages of eight and sixteen, I think. According to People Magazine?s sources, they?ve been working out their divorce since last summer, although this was not the first time they consulted with divorce lawyers and they?ve had problems for years. Which I believe it feels like SBC is probably a very difficult man to live with or be married to, to put it mildly. Anyway, they were clearly having big problems for a while, so why announce the divorce right after Rebel?s thing? Hm.

I like Isla Fisher. I think she?s adorable, hilarious, and gorgeous. Isla has three children with husband Sascha Baron Cohen and has been acting since 1993. She?s currently co-starring with Josh Gad in Wolf Like Me on Peacock. While promoting Season 2, Isla talks a bit with People about her upbringing. Isla?s dad worked for the United Nations and was stationed all over the world, from Oman where she was born, to Scotland, Australia, and the U.K. Going to a new school every year was tough for Isla, but she figured out how to make new friends. Her secret? Make ?em laugh, make ?em laugh?
As a child, Isla Fisher says she wound up moving constantly, thanks to her fathers job as a banker for the United Nations. Fisher credits the upheaval with becoming a performer. Because I had to learn to make new friends quickly, the thing that I leaned on was humor and storytelling, so it was a natural fit to want to tell stories as an actor, she explains.
Her best tip for fitting into a new environment? I definitely feel like letting your inner idiot out are the best tips for making new friends, she says. You make people laugh and theyre nice to you. Its pretty pretty basic.

Hey, you know, drawing people in with humor is a tried-and-true method of attracting people in general. Everyone likes to laugh and if you?re a natural-born performer, then I can totally see how you?d use that talent especially as a kid to ingratiate yourself into otherwise uncomfortable social situations. I?ve never been a particularly funny person, but have always tried to make up for it by attempting to at least be witty (I can pun sometimes!). I also learned early on that validating those who do use (appropriate, non-derogatory) humor to fit in socially was a key integration tool, as well. But most importantly, the older I get, the more I?ve realized that a lot of the time, simply listening to what someone else has to say when asked about themselves goes a long way.

At this point they?re old pros when it comes to parenthood, and it?s a good thing because Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen just had their third child.
According to an Us Weekly source, the ?Wedding Crashers? cutie and her ?Borat? beau have a third progeny, and Isla has been scaling back on work in order to focus more on her loved ones.
Fisher previously told press, "Family is 100 percent my top priority. So I'm much more comfortable doing supporting roles right now. And often. They're the most interesting. You get to be a character actress."

Isla Fisher wore Oscar de la Renta at the SAGs last night and positively killed it on the red carpet. I always wished Isla became a bigger star after her well-timed comedy in Wedding Crashers many years ago. Mostly her career has derailed due to some awful role choices, so maybe she’ll make a comeback. This dress is a decent start.
This is one of my favorite looks of the evening. Isla looks fantastic in white, and this satin dress looks like it was made specifically for her body. Her hair rolls in glamourous waves, and that red lipstick is perfect. Isla accessorized with a Ferragamo clutch and Bulgari jewels. My absolute favorite part of this look is a mere detail: that emerald/diamond wrap bracelet. Stunning.
Sarah Paulson went all cutesey in a white, ruffly Rochas gown. This is far too much pouf and petticoat for the red carpet. Poor Sarah looks like a 1950s debutante in such a dress. I guess that was the point? Sarah accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. I do dig the bobbed haircut. She pulls it off very well. The hot Pink lipstick though? Way too precious.
Elisabeth Rohm wore Marchesa, and I’m amazed because I actually like this dress. It’s a little bit bridal but still cool. This dress hugs in all the right places, and the usual Marchesa lacy details come together like they never have until now. Elisabeth’s hair and makeup are done but yet undone, and the messy updo is perfection.
Hannah Simone wore … you guessed it. Now this is the Marchesa I know and hate so well. This dress got all of the feathers and looks like a bridemaid’s dress from hell.
Gretchen Mol was on hand for Boardwalk Empire. She used to be an “it” girl, remember? Gretchen wore J. Mendel with Kwiat jewels. This was a pretty bland look except for the leg slit. At least it wasn’t Marchesa.

Taking care of some media duties, Isla Fisher headed over to ITV Studios in London, England earlier today (June 20).
Joined by costar Jesse Eisenberg, the ?Confessions of a Shopaholic? starlet was in the house to promote her new movie ?Now You See Me? on the ?Daybreak? morning show.
Isla previously told press that she narrowly avoided some serious danger while filming a water tank scene for the flick.
She explained, ?I was actually drowning. Everyone thought I was acting fabulously ... no one realized I was actually struggling. My chain got stuck. I had to really swim to the bottom; I couldn?t get up.?

Avoiding accidentally revealing a little too much to the paparazzi, Isla Fisher held her skirt down while on her way into her Midtown hotel in a windy New York City on Wednesday (May 1).
The "Wedding Crashers" star wore a black blazer over her short white dress as she narrowly avoided a Marilyn Monroe reenactment on the streets of the Big Apple.
Next week, you can catch the 37-year-old actress in the highly-anticipated remake of "The Great Gatsby." In an interview with Easy Living magazine, Ms. Fisher explained how she gained the 10lbs needed to portray Myrtle.
Not afraid to give away her technique, Isla shared, "I was breastfeeding, so I had a little flesh of my own, I am proud to admit, but I also gained 10lb, just by following my natural instincts." When asked what that meant, she replied, "Cupcakes!"
