They?ve been romantically involved for 14 years and finally Amy Adams and Darren Le Gallo have exchanged marriage vows.
Per an E! News report, the ?Julie and Julia? actress and her longtime love tied the knot at a secret wedding ceremony in California on Saturday, May 2nd in front of a small group of family and friends.
The delay in getting hitched was likely due to Adams? bustling acting career. In 2013 she told Vanity Fair, ?We?re not getting married anytime soon. I know he's completely capable and lovely, and beautiful, and offers something I could never hope to offer just in the nature of his being. We both have a very specific idea that we want to do this [the ceremony] in spring or fall, like in those months, but every time I'm busy working. I want something very family-oriented and laid-back.?

| Madonna in 'Rebel Heart' Moschino at the Met Gala: try-hard or fantastic' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Madonna has a complicated history at the Met Gala. She used to attend and be the most popular person there. Then something changed, and all of the cool girls kind of rolled their eyes at Madonna. But Madge still comes back. I think she was probably grateful that she didn?t have to avoid Gwyneth Paltrow this year (Goop didn?t come). Madge also tried something new this year: an attempt at dressing somewhat appropriately. She wore this Moschino gown reading ?Rebel Heart? (because that doesn?t get old, I guess). Her date was Diplo and Madge made an effort to hang out with the cool kids, like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Kimye. She posted Instagrams the whole night, defying the ?no selfies? rule.
More photos? Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli Couture, Spring 2015. I?m sorry, but this is so funny to me. Allison fancies herself some kind of major fashionista and this is what she ended up wearing? Hahahaha.
Livia Firth wore a custom-made Antonio Berardi, made from recycled plastic bottles. Seriously! Livia is always trying to sign people up for wearing eco-friendly or recycled clothing. I think she was the only one doing eco-wear this year though. I think this is on-theme, albeit slightly boring. Still, she?s elegant and so is her lovely husband. I love them.
Alicia Keys in Gaultier, with Gaultier. It doesn?t really feel like it?s on-theme, and yet? I kind of like this. I think Alicia was the only one wearing Gaultier too, so she stood out.

As Kaiser covered earlier today, disgraced designer John Galliano is gradually clawing his way back. He designed Amal Clooney’s Maison Margiela Met Gala gown and did both Cate Blanchett’s Oscar look and Rihanna’s Grammy’s suit. So was it a kind of nod to Galliano’s past greatness that Mary Kate and Ashley wore his designs on the Met red carpet? Did they work with Galliano to score these dresses or did they just pull some gowns out of the back of their mausoleum of a closet, smear some kohl on their eyes and call it a day? They’re like the twins from The Shining – you never quite know what they’re up to.
Behati Prinsloo was in a dark navy Tommy Hillfiger velvet and mesh open back gown that showed just the right amount of skin. She carried a fan purse, had tassel earrings and matching tassles down her back. Many of you are pointing out that her eyeliner is questionable for this event.

Also in Hillfiger and absolutely killing it we have Karolina Kurkova. Her legs, her shoes! This was a lot of people’s favorite look of the night and for good reason.

I’m adding Georgia May Jagger in as she really fit the theme well too. Her dress may be kimono-inspired, and kimonos are traditionally Japanese but they do have their roots in Chinese culture too. She’s in Alessandro Michele for Gucci and that’s Michele with her. This is Michele’s first year as Gucci’s creative director and he’s getting praise for bringing the label in a fresh, youthful direction. Jagger’s gown was a standout last night.

| Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein at the Met Gala: beautiful or frozen? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kendall Jenner managed to stick with the theme at last night’s Met Gala, but her look seemed off somehow. This beaded, green Calvin Klein dress came with all the attention-grabbing trimmings of a Kardashian-esque red carpet ensemble. Girlfriend just couldn’t help but flash a little sideboob to balance out the conservative, collared top of the dress. She’s a gorgeous girl, but I’d love to see Kendall change up her hair instead of always turning to the flat iron. An updo and bolder makeup, perhaps? Kendall’s also looking pretty frozen and Botoxy. She’s only 19 years old but has that permanently “surprised” expression like she can’t move her face. That’s the Kardashian-Jenner way.
Amanda Seyfried looked stunning in this Givenchy couture gown with a halter neck, translucent skirt, and ornate leaf embellishment around the bodice and hip area. Without the extra stylistic details, this dress could have looked too bridal, but it works. She brought Justin Long as her date. They look so happy together.
Keri Russell‘s dress was a mess. Peacock-colored feathers on top and a faux-scale skirt. This look wouldn’t have been half bad without the feathers.
John Legend looked dapper with Chrissy Teigen, who wore St. John but didn’t dress for the theme. Do the flowers in her hair count?

Maggie Gyllenhaal wore an ill-fitting, white Roland Mouret gown with blue and orange colorblocking and a boob-cutout. Poor Maggie never nails it.

Naomi Campbell wore custom-made Burberry to the Met Gala last night. And while I can?t really figure out if this has anything to do with the theme, I still kind of love it. I think it might be my favorite non-theme dress. Of course, Naomi can pretty much wear anything (she?s such a beautiful monster), but I enjoy the moss-green and the fringe. What is wrong with me? My inner showgirl is coming out.
Miranda Kerr in Louis Vuitton. This doesn?t go with the theme, nor is it a great dress. It just looks like a sparkly little party dress. I don?t get it?
Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton. I don?t like this, it?s not my jam, but I?m obviously an uneducated peasant when it comes to the ?brilliance? of LV?s designs. I just think this looks so heavy and unnecessary.
View image | gettyimages.com
Emily Ratajkowski in TopShop. Is it wrong to like this? Because I like it a lot, especially on her. Emily can style herself on the friendly side of ?trashy? sometimes, but this is a remarkably pulled-together and sophisticated look for her.

Her red carpet getups are legendary and Reese Witherspoon made yet another big splash during last night?s (May 4) 2015 Met Gala at New York City?s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Clad in a gorgeous red Jason Wu dress, the ?Sweet Home Alabama? babe sparkled thanks to a massive amount of diamond jewelry as well as her stunning smile.

She always seems to be the center of attention, and Kendall Jenner had all eyes on her at the 2015 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last night (May 4).
As she arrived on the red carpet, the ?Keeping Up with the Kardashians? cutie wowed the crowd in her custom Calvin Klein Collection jade green crystal-encrusted lace-up dress. The CK social media stated, "Countdown to #MetGala 2015. @kendalljenner stops in for a fitting with Women's Creative Director @costafrancisco. Jennifer Lawrence wore Dior to co-host the Met Gala last night. At this point, I feel like Dior is playing JLaw hard. They usually put her in their worst designs, and she probably knows it. This relationship is strictly one of convenience for her. Jennifer doesn’t like to be bothered with styling decisions, which is fine. She’s not a fashion girl, and the industry treats her like one. Last night’s selection tried to fit the theme with a floral top stacked on top of a plain black skirt. The runway version had a shorter skirt that was pretty cute. JLaw has new hair extensions now, and her spray tan has faded a bit, but her makeup is too cutesy.
Olivia Munn‘s J.Mendel gown had a weird ombre effect that reminded me of a Rocket Pop. With the halter neck and belly cutout, this dress is one big miss.

| Sofia Vergara in Marchesa at the Met Gala: one of the worst looks of the night? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Another day, another rant about Marchesa. Three ladies chose to wear Marchesa to the Met Gala, and I hope they?re all regretting that decision. Let?s start with Sofia Vergara. Here?s what I don?t understand: if you?re not going to do anything with the theme, at least wear an interesting dress or a pretty dress or something incredibly flattering. Sofia?s Marchesa is ill-fitting, unflattering and flat-out cheap-looking. This looks like a wedding dress from 1995.
I actually think the idea behind Poppy Delevingne?s Marchesa was on-point. Deep red and black, an explosion of poppies for the top with an elegant full skirt. But the execution leaves something to be desired. Am I hallucinating or do the poppies not match the skirt? It seems like the red of the poppies are a few shades lighter than the skirt. Plus, everything just looks cheap. Like a child?s art project.
And here?s Ellie Goulding in Marchesa. I could see wearing this to a music awards show. But the Met Gala? Eh. I don?t know if there are any Goulding-loonies out there, but I think everything about Ellie is pretty overrated.
And here?s Sofia?s costar Reese Witherspoon in Jason Wu. This dress doesn?t have anything to do with the theme, but it?s a pretty/boring dress by a Chinese-American designer, so I guess that works. I think everything about this is ?safe.? Of course, I wasn?t expecting Reese to wear a crazy flame headpiece, but she could have mixed it up a little bit more. This just looks like what she would wear to an awards show.

| Katy Perry in Moschino at the Met Gala: did she nail the theme? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Katy Perry walked the Met Gala red carpet with a new pixie cut that looks suspiciously like the wig she sported on April Fool’s Day. Some people think it’s a real cut, but I’m calling it a wig. Her dress is Moschino, straight off the runway. Does she fit the evening’s theme with this grafitti print and oodles of ruffles? Not really, but she stuck with her own quirky style and managed not to appropriate. Baby steps, y’all! Plus her clutch arrives in the shape of a spray paint can. I think she looks gaudy, but she usually throws that vibe. This dress is better than most of us expected from Katy last night.
Olivia Wilde captured the gala’s punk theme a few years too late in this Pink prada number with grey leather gloves. She’s ridiculously bejeweled, but you can tell that she loves what she’s wearing.
Katie Holmes also tried to fake a haircut, but this ‘do is definitely a wig. For a Zac Posen gown, this is surprisingly unstructured. The faint floral pattern at the bottom of the skirt fits the gala’s theme.
Kristen Wiig went super casual in a drapey, yellow Prabal Gurung gown. This dress had a lot of fabric that overwhelmed Kristen. Everyone said she was so nice on the red carpet, which isn’t surprising.
Sienna Miller aimed for the theme but came up with a matador vibe in this embellished, red Thakoon number. Tasselled earings matched her black belt detail, and Sienna remembered the most important accessory of all — a hefty dose of double-sided tape.

Alexa Chung wore an Erdem with its trademark pockets. This dress was better in motion, and the fabric was dreamy. Her shoes gave an unexpected pop of color.

| Beyonce in barely-there Givenchy at the Met Gala: exhibitionist or hot? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Beyonce and Jay-Z decided to walk the carpet of last night?s Met Gala like last year?s post-Met beatdown never happened. Note that they did walk the carpet WITH Solange (Solange arrived separately and did not pose at all with Jay and Bey). I guess that just goes to show you? Beyonce and Jay are fine. One year later, they worked through whatever it was and they?re still strong. And I guess props to them for doing the Met Gala carpet like it was no biggie.
Beyonce was basically naked in this Givenchy gown. If you can tell me how this is Chinese-inspired, I would love for you to try. I think Bey just wanted to look naked and blonde. CB said she looked like Britney Spears in the ?Toxic? music video. Truth. I would also say that there?s a heavy dose of Madonna in there, especially with the rooster-tail blonde pony. Bey and Jay were also some of the last people to arrive ? wanting a big entrance, I guess, and hoping to soak up the last of the red carpet. As for my general thoughts on Bey?s dress? I don?t even think we should call this a dress. It?s just bejeweled netting. Also: this is like the thinnest Beyonce has ever been, right? Has she been on a crazy diet for six months to wear this dress?
Solange Knowles wore Giles Deacon. This isn?t Chinese-themed either! And it?s a disaster. I know a lot of you enjoy Solange?s offbeat style, but this doesn?t work. At all.

| Kate Hudson in gold Michael Kors at the Met Gala: gorgeous or blah? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kate Hudson came to the Met Gala accompanied by Michael Kors. She was in a formfitting Michael Kors gown with a gold sequin pattern, high neck and slight fishtail. I appreciate that she didn’t go for Versace as she has at past events (see J.Lo). We know she has a killer figure, and it seems like strategically sheer and cutout dresses were overdone this year. This has the illusion of being a nude dress under the sequins without actually being see through. Her messy bun updo and jeweled floral headpiece are a nod to the theme without overdoing it. I love this look.
View image | gettyimages.com
Maybe Kors phoned it in for everyone except Kate because Elizabeth Banks had one of the most disappointing looks of the night. She was also in Kors, in this bright blue cutout number that looks like so many other dresses we’ve seen. Nothing really fit the theme and her styling is more suited to the Grammys than this event. Banks usually brings it and she loves to take risks so this seems out of character for her.
Hailee Steinfeld, 18, was also in Michael Kors, in a crimson gown which had little to do with the theme apart from the color. At least her dress is grand enough for the event. Her gold jewelry is impressive too.
View image | gettyimages.com
View image | gettyimages.com
Candice Swanepoel was in what looked like a sexier variation of Kate Hudson’s gown, which was also Michael Kors. In contrast to Hudson, you could sort-of see through Candice’s gown to her nude undies. Candice’s gown was also tighter and lower cut. She looks incredible but again, where’s the theme?

I’m wrapping up with Grace Coddington here, who was in a silk Michael Kors pajamas. At least the print is asian inspired. She should have carried a cup of tea with her. Coddington, 74, is the creative director of Vogue and she wasn’t the only one on the red carpet in her jammies. J. Crew’s Jenna Lyons also wore pajamas.

| Anne Hathaway in gold Ralph Lauren at the Met Gala: stunning or basic? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I saw a lot of people hating on Anne Hathaway?s Met Gala look. FOR WHY?! Annie wore this shimmering gold Ralph Lauren gown with a built-in hood. I love that she wore the hood properly too. It elevates what could have been a pretty boring, basic gown.
I was expecting to hate Emma Roberts? Ralph Lauren gown, but I don?t. I think Emma is kind of meh, boring person, but this isn?t bad at all. I like that she went with a bold green.
Here is Kerry Washington in custom Prada. The Pink taffeta reminds me of Gwyneth Paltrow?s iconic Ralph Lauren dress at the Oscars back in the ?90s. Only Kerry?s dress is somehow twice as annoying. I know we?re supposed to be all ?Kerry Washington is a doll, she?s a fashionista!? about everything she wears, but I think this was a fashion fail for her. The bustle is crazy, the Pink is too Pepto and at the end of the day, it?s still a terrible mullet dress.
View image | gettyimages.com
Emily Blunt also wore Prada, only this one felt more Chinese-themed. It?s still not great though. It?s poorly fit (which is standard on Prada gowns), the bust is terrible (also standard) and the cape seems like a curtain rather than a showpiece.

| Rihanna in bright yellow Guo Pei at the Met Gala: overkill or perfection? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Rihanna launched a dozen memes last night with her (always) fashionably late arrival at the Met Gala. This massive gown, from Chinese designer Guo Pei, required three people to carry up the stairs. People have compared it to Belle from Beauty and the Beast and an extra-large pizza. Rihanna’s been really big on ginormous statement dresses lately, and I love that she hasn’t let her Dior contract tie her down at every event. With that said, this is one heck of a dress. The bright-yellow color, the endless folds of fabric, the unending train — it’s all perfect for this year’s Met Gala theme. Rihanna knows people watch what she wears, and she worked this opportunity well. She styled the dress well with a statement necklace, an ornate gold headpiece, and an offbeat, flipped hairdo.
View image | gettyimages.com
Rita Ora wore Tom Ford because of course she did. Rita occupies the same spot on Tom’s arm that Rihanna used to enjoy, and I think Rih’s fine with it. She’s moved on. This lush red dress is surprisingly low-key for such a big event. The fabric is gorgeous, and Tom’s people did a good job on tailoring. The collar is a little bit Dracula, but Rita pulls it off.
Selena Gomez wore a custom Vera Wang gown with tassel detail. It looked elegant from the back. The front view looks awkward because the belly cutout is unnecessary.

Gabrielle Union played it safe (and ignored the theme) in this Zac Posen dress. Meh.

View image | gettyimages.com
Julianne Moore wears a lot of Tom Ford, who tends to put her in matronly, unflattering looks. So at least she didn’t wear Ford to the Met Gala and switched it up somewhat in black Givenchy. She was accompanied by their creative director Riccardo Tisci, Kanye West’s BFF and the man responsible for Kim Kardashian’s 2013 floral couch dress. This year, Tisci wasn’t quite as passive aggressive with his muse. Her black gown had a classic shape with some contemporary details, like small diamond cutouts along the bodice and sequin fringe across the bustline. Something nice: Moore looks lovely. However she could have looked so much better. This looks like a gown for a lesser awards ceremony, not the Met Gala. At least it’s not actively awful.
View image | gettyimages.com
Jessica Chastain was in a custom gold Givenchy gown that made her look like a classic screen siren. I love her hair, makeup and that incredible gown. I can only imagine the amount of work that went into making it. It would have been nice to see more of the China theme, but Chastain gets a pass for otherwise looking like perfection. This is one of the best looks I’ve ever seen on her.
Dianna Agron was similarly impressive in a white Tory Burch one shoulder gown featuring crane applique along the skirt. This was a smart way to incorporate the theme in that Cranes are central to Chinese mythology. She had understated styling and let the dress stand out. This is a win for Dianna.
View image | gettyimages.com
Here is Tory with the other two ladies whom she designed for, Maggie Q and Melanie Laurent. They all look incredible while subtly incorporating the theme. I’m a new fan.

Of all the nearly-naked women on the Met Gala red carpet, I actually think Jennifer Lopez did it best. Kim Kardashian and Beyonce?s gowns weren?t on-theme, and they just seemed needlessly exhibitionist. At least J.Lo?s Versace gown was red, and she styled it with an eye towards keeping it in-theme. Is it still over the top? Of course. But I?m a ?90s Girl, and I?ll always love it when Jennifer goes old-school and wears Versace.
Wendi Deng (formerly Wendi Murdoch) was one of the co-chairs of the event. She wore this blue Oscar de la Renta which? it?s okay. I probably would have liked it more on another woman. Wendi sort of cheapens it, right?

Lorde got to wear a custom Calvin Klein dress ? she was one of only a handful of Calvin Klein-clad ladies, along with Kendall Jenner and Rose Byrne. I really like Lorde and I think this dress suits her personality. And after so much nudity on the red carpet, it?s refreshing to see a young woman covered up like this. She stood out because she wasn?t exposing herself.
And here?s Rose Byrne (and Bobby Cannavale) in Calvin Klein. I like this a lot too ? it?s Chinese-themed, but deconstructed.

| Sarah Jessica Parker in H&M, Philip Treacy at Met Gala: ridiculous or amazing? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Sarah Jessica Parker is ALWAYS a big deal at the Met Gala. She goes almost every year, and she always pays close attention to the theme, to the point where she sometimes looks like she?s wearing a straight-up costume. Which is what happened this year. SJP wore this Chinese-themed custom H&M gown in what looks like black silk, and Refinery29 notes that the gown had a sewn-in sash made from embroidered Chinese silks. There were also red poppies on her gown ? poppies with a major trend on the Met Gala red carpet, even though poppies have a complicated history in China.
But the star of SJP?s look ? and yes, it?s already a meme ? was her Philip Treacy ?Flame? headpiece. It?s a reference to the Phoenix headpieces traditionally worn by Chinese brides, plus it may be a larger reference to some Buddhist iconography. Refinery29 says the reaction in China to SJP?s total look has been positive.
Personally, I think she would have looked better without the headpiece, or with a smaller headpiece. I like that SJP goes bold at the Met Gala, and I suspect she does her research and properly explores the theme, but this Treacy headpiece does overwhelm the look.
Oh, and her date was Andy Cohen. Matthew Broderick never comes to these events! She just goes with one of her gay-guy friends for the most part.

| Kim Kardashian in Roberto Cavalli at the Met Gala: uninspired or sexy? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

View image | gettyimages.com
Well, I guess we can still say that Kim Kardashian knows how to cause a commotion at the Met Gala. This is her third year in a row at the Met Gala, and at this point, I think people really do expect her to show up. She didn?t wear Givenchy or Lanvin or Balmain. Instead, she worked with Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavilli on this custom-made dress in white and nude. Many are pointing out that this look is basically a variation on the Givenchy Beyonce wore to the Met Gala in 2012 ? go here to see those photos. Compare and contrast. The designs are strikingly similar.
Apparently, Kim was shedding feathers on the red carpet too, and journalists were grabbing the feathers as soon as they shed. Does Kanye look disappointed in his Real Doll? Was he expecting more from her custom-made look? Doubtful. I bet Kanye is really happy that Kim is trying to look like a variation of Beyonce. Also: KANYE?S FRINGE.

Also in Cavalli? Gong Li, one of the co-chairs of this year?s Met Gala. While I dislike the combination of black lace with burgundy velvet ? WTF? ? I think she looks stunning. But then again, I think Gong Li is one of the most beautiful women in the world. She could wear a brown paper sack and still look amazing.

| Kristen Stewart skipped the Met Gala for the Chanel show in Seoul: good call? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Before we get to the epic Met Gala coverage ? which will start momentarily ? I just wanted to cover these photos from the Chanel 2015/16 Cruise collection. There was a minor scandal when Chanel released the date for this big PR/fashion event ? the Met Gala had been on the books for months before Karl Lagerfeld decided to show the Cruise collection the very same day? in Seoul, South Korea. Do you think it was shade aimed at Anna Wintour? Do you think this is Karl?s way of hating on the Met Gala?
Anyway, Kristen Stewart, one of the faces of Chanel these days, was one of the big celebrity guests. Which meant that she couldn?t attend the Met Gala, as she has in years past (usually to terrible results). Was that a good choice? Honoring her contract with Chanel instead of coming out to the biggest fashion event of the year? It?s a tough call. Made easier by the fact that her ex, Robert Pattinson, came to the Met Gala with his fiance, FKA Twigs. Hm. As for Kristen?s look here? she looks great. The dress works on her, I don?t mind the hair at all and her makeup is on point. She even made an effort to look less sulky than usual. Huzzah!
More photos? Gisele Bundchen going solo at the Cruise collection. She didn?t walk the runway (she?s retired!), but she came out for Karl and Chanel.
And obviously the most important person there was Tilda Swinton and her lover Sandro Kopp. I?m shocked by how ?normal? Tilda looks here. Where is the Alien Goddess Realness?

Taking time away from her busy schedule, Jennifer Lopez showed up at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the 2015 Met Gala on Monday night (May 4).
As she stepped onto the red carpet, the ?On The Floor? songstress was all smiles, posing for photos and waving to fans before scurrying inside.
The 2015 Met Gala?s theme is ?China: Through the Looking Glass,? and once again Anna Wintour has outdone herself. Each year Anna Wintour helps make sure the event is a massive success, given that the money raised goes to fund the Costume Institute?s annual budget.

They?re both huge fashion enthusiasts, so it?s no wonder Kim Kardashian and Kanye West showed up at the 2015 Met Gala in New York City tonight (May 4).
The ?Keeping Up with the Kardashians? star was in fine form as she made her arrival with her ?Black Skinhead? rapper husband, both looking quite stylish as they posed for photographs.
Every year the Met Gala provides the operating budget for the Costume Institute and since 1999, Anna Wintour has headed up the event, raising more than $145 million. Tickets run $25,000 each or $175,000 for a table of 10.

She?s serving as a celebrity co-chair and Jennifer Lawrence certainly dressed to impress for the 2015 Met Gala tonight (May 4).
The ?Hunger Games: Catching Fire? cutie looked to be thoroughly enjoying herself as she chatted up a storm with her fellow famous peers while meandering around outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
