The "Water for Elephants" actress opted for an effortlessly chic, pre-pampering look, wearing big black sunglasses, black sundress and a pair of black ballet flats.
One mystery accessory that Reese has been sporting since Mother's day - a cast on her left foot - has finally been explained.
Witherspoon's rep has stepped forward to assure fans of the her health, telling People, "She twisted her ankle and is in a walking cast temporarily. Nothing serious."

The 41-year-old showed off her fabulously-fit frame, wearing a gray, belted jumpsuit and shiny black pumps after having sported a heavier blue ensemble during her morning stop at "Good Morning America".
Ellen stopped by the talk show to chat about next week's season finale of "Grey's Anatomy," and how she fought hard to make the storyline of Meredith and Derek adopting an African baby a reality.
Pompeo went on to say that she felt a responsibility to portray an issue that is so near and dear to many viewer's hearts, telling, "We really have to tell this story right [...] We have to be strong, we have to show hope [...] We have to offer something to people who are relating to this [...] There?s got to be a strength brought to thie issue.?

The ?Crybaby? hunk and the ?Vanilla Sky? cutie both looked snazzy as they arrived at the Vue Westfield in the English capitol.
In a recent interview, Johnny explained that his 11-year-old daughter Lily-Rose and 9-year-old son Jack are sometimes a bit confused at what he does for a living.
Of his experience filming ?Pirates 4? Depp shared, ?I?ve thought of doing many things in my life, under the influence of life, and I?ve never actually thought of straddling two carriages while they?re moving before.?
?That was an interesting experience. I was jumping on people?s heads and onto another cart, and then the thing catches fire. And then I?m having to explain to my kids that this is how daddy brings home the bacon. They think I?m mad.?
And now his kids can see their dad immortalized in wax, as Johnny?s ?Jack Sparrow? inspired wax figure was unveiled this morning at Madame Tussaud?s in Berlin, Germany.

Angelina Jolie and Jack Black were in Cannes promoting Kung Fu Panda 2 yesterday. Angelina looked amazing. More so than at those stuffy awards shows where she wears whatever the hell movie stars from the 50?s wear.
And if you hadn’t read, while she was at Cannes, she was asked about her newest tattoo. No one thought it was a big secret, especially Angelina, because she gave the interviewer a quizzical look like he was a complete imbecile.
“Well, if they know that it’s latitude and longitude they would have figured out quickly that it was Brad’s birthplace. It doesn’t take much investigation to figure that one out. It’s Shawnee, Oklahoma.”
Big non-mystery solved. I’m glad the interviewer asked because it’s not like he could have plugged the coordinates into Google maps or anything.

In news that I should feel guilty about quietly rejoicing over, Hayden Panettiere and her hulk of a man, world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko, have broken up. Hayden, 21, and Klitschko, 35, both issued statements about each other that were so gracious that I felt momentarily sorry for them. Then I realized that Hayden grates my last nerve and that I find Klitschko dreamy. Maybe he’ll go for someone closer to his age next time instead of messing with young starlets. These two have been together about two years and the last we heard from Hayden she was bringing up their sex life in a TV interview.
After two years of dating, Hayden Panettiere and Ukrainian heavyweight boxing champion Wladmir Klitschko are calling it quits, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
“Even though we’ve decided splitting up is best for both of us, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends,” says the Scream 4 actress, 21.
Klitschko, 35, the reigning IBF, IBO and WBO heavyweight world champion, cites the physical distance as a stumbling block for the couple.
“We had a great time together, but it’s not that easy to manage a relationship between two continents,” he says. “I have a lot of respect for Hayden as a person and as a friend, and I believe we’ll keep our friendship even after the separation.”
The two most recently appeared together at the Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of the documentary Klitschko, about Wladmir and his brother Vitali’s boxing careers.

I’m just surprised they lasted as long as they did. They may have broken up briefly around this time last year, only to reunite again. So was it Hayden or Wladimir that did the dumping? I’m thinking she wanted more of a commitment and he wasn’t ready. Still, she’s young. She’ll rebound with the next much older guy soon enough.

Fresh off the heels of the Bar Refaeli and Leo DiCaprio split comes news that Hayden Panettiere and her gargantuan boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko have called it quits as well. Hayden said of the breakup,
“Even though we’ve decided splitting up is best for both of us, we have an amazing amount of love and respect for each other and remain very close friends.”
While Wladimir said,

If you think about it, the relationship wouldn’t have worked anyway. When you have to strap on rock climbing gear every time you want to have sex with your boyfriend, it gets sort of tiring.

Yeah, I didn?t laugh at any part of that interview except when Chelsea was referencing her new boyfriend, Andre Balazs and how he doesn?t want her to talk about him. Yeah, I can see that. Andre is all ?Seriously, I don?t want people to know that we?re dating.?
As far as the Jolie stuff, I guess, Chelsea is trying to say that she?s not screaming obscenities about Angelina because she (Chelsea) is friends with Jennifer Aniston. Sure. I?ll buy that Aniston hasn?t asked Chelsea to bash Angelina. But Aniston doesn?t have any problems with it, now does she?
Anyway? I don?t find Chelsea funny, but I?m getting tired of waiting for her to finally flame out. Also: does she always talk like she just did three lines in the CNN bathroom?

Heidi's "Famous Foods" co-star, Jake Pavelka, recently dished up some details of the show to Ryan Seacrest, telling, ?We closed [the restaurant] Ketchup and re-concepted it, it?s called the Lemon Basket. It?s actually at 8590 West Sunset. We?ve got some comfort food on the menu, we?ve got tuna tartare and some other healthy options too."

Call me crazy, but I would take a million ?Big southern/lion hair and Halston? red carpet appearances rather than this fugness. These are photos of Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick at the NYC Ballet Spring Gala last night. SJP can get Matthew to the ballet, but never to a fashion or charity gala. Or a premiere. But ballet, sure! Nevermind, don?t go there, of course they have a strong marriage, why would you think otherwise? Don?t they look? um, happy together?
Anyway, in my mind, SJP?s style reflects her mood. She wore this absolutely God-awful Valentino for the NYC Ballet event, and now I think that Mr. Valentino must totally hate her. Why would a designer even MAKE this ugly dress, much less give it to one of his best clients? SJP knows it sucks too - trust me, SJP knows how to work a gown, and she knows how to ensure a gown is photographed to make it look amazing, and look at what she?s doing with her styling and body language. She draped a purse across her chest, her hair is meh, and she?s got a look on her face that says ?I wish I had lion hair and I was flying solo.?
Also looking rough? Brooke Shields. I know the whole ?flower boob? thing is in style right now, but this is the wrong way to do it.

As for her sentence, LiLo wasn?t given any additional time in jail for her jewelry theft, and the 120 days she was given will likely be reduced to 14 days at home with an electronic monitoring device.
Lindsay declared, "I am glad to be able to put this past me and move on with my life and my career. I support the judge's decision and hold myself accountable for being in this situation. I have already started my community service at the Downtown Women's Center and thank everyone there for their warm welcome.?

"[It was a challenge] to keep a straight face sometimes with Johnny in some of the more dramatic scenes. I would look at him doing the things he does as Jack Sparrow, and Rob had to cut so many takes with Johnny or me, because we could not control ourselves. He would provoke me and always make me laugh. As we found out yesterday, Linnocent wins again. For some reason, this crackhead never faces any real consequences for her cracked-out actions. Yesterday, the judge sentenced her to house arrest for an as-yet-undetermined time, plus Klepto Classes, plus three years probation for the crack thievery. Linnocent didn?t even bother showing up, as she had been partying at the Marmont the night before (doing shooters, blow), and then turning up for her community service at the Women?s Center. These photos are of Linnocent?s daily cracked-out, braless fashion show yesterday. By the way, the judge bitched about how Linnocent keeps getting pap?d while she?s working too. She wouldn?t be pap?d all the time if she didn?t call the photographers to let them know where she is! Jeez. After her crack hearing, Linnocent released this statement:

Anyway, during Linnocent?s crack hearing, the L.A. County Probation Department released their detailed, extensive probation report on Linnocent. I imagine it weighs as much as an encyclopedia set (?Linnocent, February 2011, 496 pages?). The Probation Dept thinks that Lindsay is an addict, obviously, while the judge made a big deal about how Linnocent is just a cracked-out, entitled dumbass and THAT is why she makes bad life choices, not because she?s an addict. Here?s what Linnocent is taking, legal-drug-wise, right now: Trazadone (for depression), Nexium (for heartburn), Yaz (birth control), Zoloft (anti-depressant), Doxycycline (antibiotic), Zyrtec (allergies) and Zythromax (antibiotic).
Of course, Linnocent also self-medicates with alcohol and crack:
Lindsay Lohan drank alcohol the night she scuffled with a Betty Ford employee and failed a random alcohol test after she left rehab, according to a probation report.
The report, released Wednesday after her no-contest plea to misdemeanor theft of a $2,500 necklace, also states that Lohan “has been suspected of similar conduct in other jewelry stores,” but no charges were ever filed.
The probation report says Lohan indeed drank alcohol after sneaking out from the Betty Ford Center in December, citing local police interviews with restaurant and nightclub employees. Charges that she battered a rehab employee that night were dropped for lack of evidence.
And Lohan, 24, tested positive for alcohol in February, one week after her assistant surrendered the allegedly stolen necklace to the LAPD.
“The probation officer believes that substance abuse is the root of the defendant’s problems,” the report says, although L.A. Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner disagreed with that assessment on Wednesday.
Instead, Lohan was ordered to psychological counseling instead of more rehab, in addition to a four-month jail term and community service. For now, Lohan will not be randomly tested for drug and alcohol use.
She is expected to be allowed to serve her jail term in home detention because she’s a nonviolent offender and is eligible for early release for good behavior as well as budget constraints.

Oh, and the report also says that Linnocent was drinking on a regular basis at the Betty Ford Clinic, according to multiple sources who witnessed her consuming alcohol.
And yet, still no consequences. Still no constant alcohol and drug monitoring. Maybe this is the state of California?s way of saying ?Yeah, we kind of hope she ends up killing someone, preferably herself, while drunk driving.?

These are some photos from both the photo call and the press conference for Pirates of Caribbean 4: This One?s Just For The Money. Now, I think Penelope is a beautiful and talented woman, and she?s currently one of my favorite girls to watch. That being said, her bangs trauma is making me twitch. Sometimes, you and I will disagree about someone?s bangs and I don?t like to admit that I see your point, that the girl doesn?t look hideous with bangs, or that maybe the overall hairstyle is more flattering than I?ve originally said. This is not one of those times. Penelope is a gorgeous woman - and these bangs are a styling tragedy, completely. They are way too short, and they do strange things to her lovely face. She was aiming for Audrey Hepburn, and she did not succeed.
Oh, and the outfit is kind of fug (IMO) too. Snowflakes and a giant neck bow? In May in the South of France? Nope. Maybe in December in Berlin. But not today. And not with that giant bow/collar tragedy.
Meanwhile, Johnny really is bringing the hot lately, right? Look, his clothes even fit! His hair is great, and he has his ?dirty? look under control. Nice.

Making the most of her time in the French Riviera, Angelina Jolie was spotted at a photo call for ?Kung Fu Panda 2? this morning (May 12).
The ?Mr. and Mrs. Smith? actress was joined by fellow actors Jack Black
and Dustin Hoffman as part of the 64th Cannes International Film Festival goings on.
Along with Ms. Jolie, her partner Brad Pitt will also be making an appearance at Cannes for his new film ?The Tree of Life.?
Ang and Brad are expected to walk the red carpet together for Pitt?s premiere this coming Monday.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Ashley Greene was spotted at the premiere of her new film ?Skateland? last night (May 11).
The ?New Moon? babe looked pretty in a peach colored dress as she posed with Taylor Handley, Anthony Burns, and Shiloh Fernandez at the Hollywood shindig.
As for her own personal sense of style, Ashley told press she likes incorporating some aspects of her ?Skateland? character?s fashion into her daily attire.
"I like incorporating '80s pieces into my wardrobe but not the whole look in general. It's a little extreme. But I had fun with it. I think this film was the the chance to really embrace it and go for it. So I was talking to wardrobe and talking about pieces and was like, 'Yeah, let's totally do it.' But I wouldn't rock the whole look on an everyday basis."

She?s always up for a good shindig, and last night (May 11) Rosie Huntington Whiteley was spotted at the Maxim Hot 100 Party in Hollywood.
The ?Transformers: Dark of the Moon? babe showed up at Eden looking marvelous in a white cutout dress with beige heels and an animal print clutch.
Commenting on her ?it-girl? status as of late, Rosie noted that it has taken years of hard work to break through into stardom.
?Well I have been modeling for nearly nine years now. It does take a lot of discipline and you have to work really hard, like in any job, to get success and opportunity. It doesn?t just get handed to you. Maybe once or twice in your lifetime you are lucky enough to be given opportunities and then you have to work to keep getting them. A lot of discipline went in to being a model and definitely in to doing a movie like Transformers.?

These are some photos from last night?s opening premiere film, Midnight in Paris. Oddly enough, there was no Carla Bruni, no Sarko. But there was Rachel McAdams and her Welsh lover, Michael Sheen. And they actually stood together on the red carpet! Nice. It?s not like they were super-affectionate or anything, but still. At least they didn?t actively avoid each other. As for Rachel?s dress? meh. I kind of hate it, honestly. It?s Marchesa. It just? doesn?t suit her. Eh. Too lacy, too much fabric. Disappointing after I loved her photo call dress so much.
They’ve remained coy about their romance ? in spite of being spotted mid-smooch ? but Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen made their red carpet debut as a couple Wednesday at the Cannes International Film Festival.
“She’s a genuinely lovely lady as well as being stunningly beautiful and very talented,” Sheen, 42, told Entertainment Tonight Canada of McAdams, his costar in the Woody Allen-directed comedy Midnight in Paris, which is showing at the festival.
The actress, 34 ? who was recently spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger ? isn’t engaged to Sheen, but she recently talked to Elle about her hopes for a “fairy-tale romance.”
“[My parents are] still together and still in love,” she said. “I’m very blessed that way. I had a great example of love in front of me, and that’s probably what makes me such a romantic.”
McAdams chose a Marchesa dress for the debut, which had a five-foot train that trailed the steps as she climbed to the theater. At ease and in sync with his date, Sheen bent down to straighten it out for her when she stopped to wave to the crowds.

Aw, that?s sweet that he was looking after her train (probably couldn?t keep his eyes off of her cute ass, but whatev). But it?s nice that they?ve ?come out? as a couple officially. Too bad Rachel wore a bad dress for the occasion. There are worse things, however. It could have been a Jolie-esque glittery sack. I?m sure we?ll be seeing one of those later!

This news came out yesterday, but there are more details today and I couldn’t resist covering it. Apparently Hugh Grant was in talks with Two and a Half Men producers to step in and take the kind of playboy devil-may-care role that was formerly occupied by addict wordsmith Charlie Sheen. As Kaiser wrote in the links, this was a genius idea and a potential win-win that would help this lucrative sitcom continue on with another high profile lead. Grant has been starring in some sh*t movies lately (have you seen Did You Hear About The Morgans?, I did and just for Grant) and his film career has stalled but he still has star power. Unfortunately talks are said to have broken down over the intense work commitment involved, but I’m hoping that he’ll reconsider or that someone leaked this news to gauge interest. With Grant in this show, I’d definitely watch it despite the corny jokes. I still own Four Weddings and a Funeral on VHS. (shameface)
We hear that the idea of Hugh Grant as a replacement for Charlie Sheen in Two And A Half Men was first pitched to CBS boss Les Moonves and CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler about a month ago. After a couple of weeks sorting out the Sheen lawsuit fallout, the two execs blessed the plan and Grant was approached by the producers at Warner Bros. We hear Hugh flew in and had 2 creative meetings. Things were progressing and he had all but a completed deal when he backed out unexpectedly. ‘It was not the money. He didn’t want to do TV because those 24 episodes are a grind and a lot of work. At the end he couldn’t get his head around doing a series.” Another insider tells us that, if Grant committed, “the show could have gotten another 3 to 4 more seasons”.

Initial reports had Grant being offered $1 million an episode, although Deadline has updated with the news that “Warner Bros sources are now saying it was not that much.” The guy has a complicated relationship with fame, and doesn’t like to be in the spotlight at all. He’s been in altercations with paparazzi and recently audiotaped a conversation with a paparazzo after getting him to open up about News of The World routinely bugging celebrities.
I would bet that Grant was just as daunted by the pressure of helming a big series as by the work commitment. Plus, rumor has it that his girlfriend is expecting a baby. (Which could be patently untrue, but still.) It’s a shame, because he’s a fine actor and I’ve missed seeing him on the big screen. I’d watch any crap movie he was in, including a crap show.

This story is in Star Magazine, so it could be a pile of hooey, or it could be a valid scoop. Either way, it’s only slightly damning in that it makes it sound like Kate Hudson’s fiance and soon-to-be-born baby’s father, Muse Singer Matthew Bellamy, was promiscuous. At least he allegedly was until he hooked up with Kate. Right before Bellamy met the lackluster romcom actress, he is said to have had a three day fling with a groupie in which they didn’t use protection and the young girl fell pregnant. (I love the British way of phrasing that, as if it was a little accident.) The poor girl tried to contact Matt and was unable to, and ultimately lost the baby.
Star Mag - A lady who slept with Muse singer Matthew Bellamy right before he hooked up with Kate Hudson says Matt betrayed her. Sophia Bloxam claims that she met Matt via MySpace (?!?!) and they had an intense email relationship. Finally, she saw him in the flesh at a show, after which the twosome “shacked up” in a hotel for a “two-night, three-day sex marathon. Sophia says they had unprotected sex at least eight times, and that Matt knew she was not on birth control, but was “fine with that.” Later he texted her, “There is a good chance you could be pregnant, as we used no contraception.” She texted back that everything would be fine, and that whatever the outcome was “we would be ok.” WTF does that mean? She wanted to get knocked up? Anyway. Sophia found out she was pregs and tried to call and text Matt, who refused to return her messages. She wanted to see him at Cochella and tell him the news in person, but felt too ill. Later she found out that he met Kate Hudson at Coachella. Soon after that, Sophia suffered a miscarriage. It doesn’t seem like Sophia and Matt were dating ?- sounds more like a one-night-stand gone cuckoo, but Sophia warns Kate: “He has an issue with fidelity.”

You know, it could be true that someone told this to Star. Muse is huge and Bellamy probably has some really delusional fans. I’m not saying that it’s not possible that a rock star had unprotected sex with a fan he met online. (Although the MySpace part is ridic.) It surely happens constantly. It’s just that this story is too convenient in that the girl miscarried and that she never got to contact the rock star again. Plus how did he anticipate that she could be pregnant? I know they weren’t using protection, but it sounds too contrived. It reads like fan fiction, especially since it’s coming out well into Kate Hudson’s pregnancy and not earlier.

I published this Angelina Jolie story later in the day yesterday, because I knew I was going to be consumed by NEW JOLIE PHOTOS today. The photo call for Kung Fu Panda 2 has already gone down, and I think Jolie and Brad Pitt are due at the big evening premiere tonight?? Maybe. I?m seeing that the Tree of Life premiere isn?t happening until Monday, and I thought that was happening tonight. Ten bucks says that whenever Jolie appears on an evening red carpet, she?ll be wearing either A) A glittery sack or B) black. No, I shouldn?t be so harsh. For Cannes, Angelina sometimes tries something new. Fingers crossed that Angelina wears something awesome.
As for La Jolie at the KFP 2 photo call - she looked nice. Her skin looked great (her skin has been looking amazing for months now). Her hair was okay (not great but not bad). And she wore a glorious beige sack and cinched it with a belt. PRAISE IT. Here are some quotes from Angelina at the KFP press conference:
On violence in KFP2 and showing her kids violent films: “You have to know your children. There are children that have a better understanding and are ready earlier than others. But for a film like this, I don’t see this as a film that’s too violent. I think this is actually quite the opposite because the strength, even in the final battle, the inner peace and sending back that negative energy is what wins. My boys are in martial arts classes. Boys are boys and they have a certain kind of energy, naturally. It’s been wonderful to get them focused on martial arts to teach them about the discipline and the respect and the control of their own bodies. I think to ignore that that’s a part of humanity, especially little boys, is wrong. So it’s to help guide them ? what?s a positive thing, what’s a good guy, To try not to [use violence] certainly, but if you have to, to defend yourself.”
On bringing the kids to Cannes: “Yes, we’re all in France. Our whole family is in France and we’re very happy. They’re running around the hotel right now, playing games and making a giant mess, I’m sure. They’re having a great time. They love it here. Cannes can be overwhelming and it can be that you meet a lot of friendly faces and have a good laugh and you also get a chance to see some great films. It’s very nice.”
On picking KFP2 to appeal more to her kids: “We’re all big kids at heart…but in many ways I did it for them and I was excited for them to see it. The trick of a sequel is you have to make it better than the first one, which is hard to do especially when the first one is so successful, and I think we pulled it off.”
On finding inner peace: “Especially for people that have children. You wake up and if they’re healthy, you know that that’s the most important thing, so you have first of all that peace. They also come with a lot of chaos, but we’re all searching for it. It’s part of the human journey. We all have moments of inner peace and we lose it and we look for it again. But really it’s in knowing the people you love are safe and healthy. That’s the best.”
On her real life alter ego to all her tough characters: “Certainly my alter ego is who I am 100%, which is a mommy who is changing diapers and coloring all night long. I’m sure I’m very very soft. I’ve always been drawn to strong characters and I admire strong women, emotionally and physically, just people I feel are fighting for something. . .have a sense of justice and injustice. I’ve been very lucky that I came to my career at a time that women are being allowed these roles and have such great opportunities for these types of characters.”

Sounds good. I?m sure some people will react poorly to her comments about exposing her kids to violence, but I think she sounds like a mom who has actually thought about all of those issues long and hard, and come up with the solutions that work for her. Plus, I think the Jolie-Pitt kids are exposed to real-life scenarios where they see the real effects of violent societies - she and Brad let the kids meet wounded veterans, refugees, etc.
Back to the photo call - Jack Black was predictably hyperactive, and he and Angelina are totally cute together. Dustin Hoffman was there too! My favorite photos are the ones of Angelina making a face as she embraces the panda.
