I’ve been in love withRosie Huntington-Whiteley for years, but there’s so many new hotties out there to keep track of these days, sometimes I get a little distracted and forget about my old favorites. So here’s a new photoshoot from the leggy blonde Brit for old times’ sake. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think […]

| Emily Ratajkowski in Reem Acra at the Golden Globes: lovely or cheap? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I don?t know why Emily Ratajkowski attended the Golden Globes, but I?m pretty sure I saw her biscuit when she first arrived on the carpet. She was manhandling her dress ? which features a large slit down the front ? and she lifted up the skirt way too high. It was bad. This dress is Reem Acra and? I don?t know what to say here that could be a compliment. Like, I sort of enjoy Emily and I don?t think she?s a vapid idiot (like so many of you believe her to be), but she absolutely looks so, so cheap here.
Priyanka Chopra looked nice-to-okay in this custom-made Ralph Lauren gown. There were a lot of stories about how it took a bajillion hours to create this dress and I?m left feeling like? really? It looked great on-camera, in motion. But in photos, the details are lost and I wonder if the dress really is that special. Also: those are the wrong shoes for this dress.
I was going to make Viola Davis the lead person on this post, but I?ve noticed that while there?s a lot of love generally for V, most of you don?t want to talk about her fashion. Which is too bad, because Viola often gets it so right. Last night she got it right in this canary Michael Kors gown. Stunning. She?s so gorgeous and cool and if she doesn?t win an Oscar this year, so help me God?
Sienna Miller also wore Michael Kors only her dress sucked. I don?t get this. I don?t get her hair. I don?t get why she was there.

| Justin Timberlake's wife wore Elie Saab to the Golden Globes: pretty or meh' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Justin Timberlake was the host of our Open Post, and I feel like we were doing the lord?s work when we talked about how Justin should never win anything for his stupid ?Can?t Stop the Feeling? song. And look what happened ? JT lost! YAY. He should have lost to Lin-Manuel Miranda, but nothing is perfect. And since JT was a Golden Globe nominee, he couldn?t let Jessica Biel have any of the attention. Not that he would have let her get any attention anyway. Biel?s dress is Elie Saab, if you do want to pry your eyes away from Timberlake. While I dislike the dress ? she seemed uncomfortable and it really wasn?t cute ? I?m giving her props on the styling. NO BANGS!
Here?s Matty D and his wife Luciana. She wore Versace. He wore unconvincing facial hair. He was there as producer of Manchester by the Sea, and he was hoping to rub some of his ?I?m a decent guy? vibe on Casey Affleck. Did it work? Or no?
Sam Taylor-Johnson and Aaron Taylor Johnson. I still can?t believe he won over Mahershala Ali. But I did like Aaron?s speech (is it just me or does his accent skip between American and British?).
And this year's #GoldenGlobes winner for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture is Aaron Taylor-Johnson! pic.twitter.com/fDR6aCahkI

| Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Georges Chakra at the Golden Globes: boring or spot on? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
Julia Louis-Dreyfus has won so many awards, so many times, for Veep. She won seven Emmys for that role, most of which were consecutive. She hasn’t won a Golden Globe for Veep yet, although she’s been nominated twice. (She does have a Globe for Seinfeld, from 1996. Can you believe that was over 20 freaking years ago?) So she came to the Globes in this very crisp white Georges Chakra gown featuring two thick black accent lines, one of which ran down the front of the back and side. This fit like a glove but I wonder whether it’s a little understated for the event. Still, Julia doesn’t care. She has so many statues on her mantle it’s enough for her to be nominated at this point.
I’m throwing Heidi Klum in here because she’s also in black and white, although her addition is somewhat nonsensical. She wasn’t a presenter or anything, thank goodness, she just showed up because that’s what she does. She’s in a too-small J. Mendel gown with cutouts along the waist and ribs. At least she didn’t bring her young boyfriend with her.
Felicity Huffman was nominated for American Crime, the category which went to Sarah Paulson. She’s also in Georges Chakra, in a gold halter top jumpsuit with wide white pants. The waist is actually square panels in shades of silver and bronze, like it’s pixelated, which I found so clever. Felicity has a globe for her 2005 performance in TransAmerica, and she’s been nominated a bunch of other times for Sports Night and Desperate Housewives.
Here’s Felicity’s costar, Regina King, in Romona Keveza. Regina has won two Emmys for her role in American Crime but she hasn’t won a Golden Globe yet. I could have sworn she was nominated last night, but that was last year. This dress is a bit plain but I do like the diagonal neckline.

| Carrie Underwood in pink Iris Serban at the Golden Globes: fussy or pretty? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Presenter Carrie Underwood managed to look different than just about every other woman on the red carpet last night in this Pink Iris Serban gown with cut out sides and tightly folded flowers along the neckline. Look at her shoulders this makes her look like a linebacker. (Not her build, just the dress, it has like floral armor.) I will say something nice which I mentioned in the post on Drew Barrymore – Carrie’s default is to wear a lot of makeup, but somehow it works on her.
Connie Britton was also in pink, in a Georges Hobeika gown with one cap sleeve. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that feature on a dress before, it’s like the designers are straining to be unique. It surely exists on another dress, it’s just new to me. I do like the dripping floral sequin pattern on the top. That’s beautiful.
Here’s poor Keri Russell, nominated for best actress in a drama, which went to Claire Foy. I hope that The Americans racks up some awards finally. It seems underappreciated for how good a show it is. Keri was in a sad leopard print J. Mendel gown which was just wrong from start to tiered ruffle finish.
Check out the back of Keri’s dress, even the built-in cape is tiered. Why?!

| Thandie Newton in white Monse at the Golden Globes: overlooked? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
Do you know how Thandie Newton wore a really ill-fitting polka dot Monse dress to the BAFTAs? (If you missed it, go here to see.) Monse came through for her at the Globes. Look at this white off the shoulder sheath dress with diagonal burnt orange sequins creeping up the hem like she is on FIRE. This is such a simple concept executed well and I love it. I’m sad Thandie didn’t win for supporting role in a limited series, for her sublime work in Westworld, that went to Olivia Colman for The Night Manager. (I’m surprised TNM won in so many categories, but I only watched the first episode, it just wasn’t my type of show.) Slay all day, Thandie. That backwards necklace!
Kristen Wiig wore a white lace Reem Acra gown. This is yet another one of those see-through gowns with the bathing suit area strategically covered, yet the lace is not what we typically see on these dresses, it’s larger. I like this and adore her styling. She had a cute bit with Steve Carrell which Kaiser covered earlier in the Globes recap. Steve and Kristen were funny, they have perfect timing together, but I didn’t think the part about how they had the same haircut was necessary. There were a lot of dumb jokes last night and I found some of the writing in poor taste.
Kathryn Hahn was one of three women I saw in pantsuits, the others being Evan Rachel Wood and Octavia Spencer. I like this trend and hope it continues. Her suit is Brandon Maxwell and I don’t even dislike the jacket open to reveal her bra. You can only see a bit of it anyway.
Here’s Rachel Bloom who lost in the best actress in a comedy category to Tracee Ellis Ross. (She won the Globe in this category two years ago for Crazy Ex Girlfriend and she also has a couple of Emmys for her wodk on Robot Chicken.) She was in Christian Siriano, who also dressed Issa Rae and Angela Bassett last night. Siriano’s designs are hit or miss but you can tell he tries to make his clients feel beautiful on the red carpet. Bloom’s gown wasn’t amazing, it made her look very top heavy and the sequins seemed like an afterthought. She looked like she was having a good time though.

| Emma Stone in star-covered Valentino at the Golden Globes: twee or sweet? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I come away from the Golden Globes understanding that in Hollywood, La La Land is a much bigger deal than I realized. I thought Emma Stone would be a major contender for the actress awards, of course. But I didn?t realize that there was so much love for a film which I think looks rather? twee, cringe-y, privileged and silly? It?s like #WhitePeopleProblems: The Movie. That being said, it?s hard to be mad at Emma Stone. I wasn?t even crazy about Emma?s Valentino dress, but I?m not even mad about it. It was a pretty, frothy, star-covered pale dress. It fit her beautifully and it moved well, although it looks really flat in photos. She seemed comfortable and happy with it. *shrug*
Here?s Anna Chlumsky in Roland Mouret. I like Anna, I think she?s crazy talented and beautiful, but my God, she cannot find a flattering dress to save her damn life. This is so bad.
Speaking of WTFery, Anna Kendrick in Vionnet. She looked? terrible. Why does this dress exist? Why did she choose it???
While Laura Dern isn?t one of my favorite people, she wore one of my favorite low-key dresses at the Globes. I doubt she?s going to be headlining any best-dressed lists today, but this Burberry was gorgeous, appropriate, well-tailored and flattering. Homerun for Dern!

| Sarah Jessica Parker in bridal Vera Wang at the Golden Globes: crazy-looking or cool? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
Nominee Sarah Jessica Parker had one of the most bizarre looks at the Globes. The dress itself, a Vera Wang bridal with very long sleeves, is an interesting choice and isn’t terrible on its own. It’s just a v-neck bridal gown with some sleeves tacked on like they’re an afterthought. Her styling is just so unfortunate. After the camera panned to her during her category (she was nominated for Divorce) many people were tweeting about her look. She had a crown of extensions made into milkmaid braids and eye makeup which made her look squinty and tired. Her makeup usually looks like this and it’s really dated. I felt bad for her.
Hailee Steinfeld also wore bridal Vera Wang, but her dress was a bit more custom than Parker’s. It’s lilac-colored first of all and there are actual separate ruffle shelves above each boob. I can’t say I’ve ever seen that concept on a dress before, and for good reason. I do like the slouchy sleeves and shoulder cutouts, but that’s very on trend this season. From some angles that looks like a jeweled neckline, we saw a few of those last night, but I think it’s a very well-fitted necklace. The mesh bodice part of the gown is unique to Hailee’s dress, that wasn’t part of the original gown.
Oh hi Chrissy Teigen in Marchesa. What do you call that thing at her waist? It’s like a peplum on steroids. Would this be ok without all the lace and ruffles? I am really asking because I?m still not sure. Chrissy, John Legend and Anthony Anderson kind of sat on the steps in front of Ryan Seacrest and conducted their interview from there. It was a nice change to some of the awkwardness actually.

| Nicole Kidman in McQueen: one of the worst looks of the Golden Globes? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Nicole Kidman was nominated for a Golden Globe for Lion. She?s probably going to be the only actor from that film nominated for an Oscar. Nicole LOVES to campaign for an Oscar. She loves it. I suspect she loves it because she loves a good fashion show throughout the awards season, but the days where Kidman ruled the red carpet are long over. This McQueen gown was easily one of the worst of the night. Everything about this look was terrible, from her fried, too-light hair, to that fug dress, to her marble-like forehead. Nicole, please change this mess.
Gal Gadot in Mugler. I was disappointed in this, even though I?m pretty sure she didn?t have a ton of options in maternity wear.
People were losing their minds about Naomie Harris in this custom Armani like Cate Blanchett had just dropped the fashion-mic. And all I can say is? really? Naomie is pretty and she?s great in Moonlight, but this dress is not all that.
Teresa Palmer in Armani. I sort of liked this? She didn?t get a lot of love on the red carpet, but this was lovely.
Janelle Monae in Armani. I wasn?t feeling it. I like her a lot, but I?m really tired of her black & white dressing, and God help me but I?ll never love a mullet dress. This is an okay mullet dress, to be fair. But I?m still not a fan.

| Winona Ryder in satin Viktor & Rolf at the Golden Globes: '90s fab or '90s fug' | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

For a ?90s Girl like me, I easily recall when Winona Ryder was a HUGE deal on the red carpet. Everyone loved her and we couldn?t wait to see what she would be wearing. Literally decades have passed and part of me was still excited to see her? until I actually saw this Viktor & Rolf dress. Apparently, they customized for her, to which I say? REALLY??? This is a standard-issue prom/pageant dress from the ?90s. I love Winona but? no. Her date was Scott Mackinlay Hahn. Who is he? He?s a fashion designer and they?ve apparently been dating for more than five years. PS… this dress has a giant f–king bow on the back which was hideous, but there are thankfully no photos of it.
Claire Foy in Erdem. People love her and they love The Crown (which won over Game of Thrones and Westworld last night). Personally, I feel like The Crown is going to become another Downton Abbey situation, where Americans fall over themselves because of the posh soap opera of everything. Meh. As for the dress? it was disappointing. I like that she wore a British label though.
Pharrell Williams wore a years-old Chanel ensemble. He described it as from Chanel?s ?Bombay Collection,? to which I say? Chanel made British empire cosplay?? Pharrell looks like The Last Viceroy.
Riley Keough in Chanel. Considering the elitism of the Chanel label, I find it odd that Riley was the most high-profile woman wearing the label. I also find it odd that this is the dress she chose.

| Drew Barrymore in Monique Lhullier at the Golden Globes: avian fab or fug? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
Presenter Drew Barrymore was at the Globes last night in an incredible silver and white Monique Lhullier gown with a deep v-neck, open shoulders, and wide sleeves that resembled wings. Many people on Twitter were calling this a bird dress and that’s really what it looks like. I love it but her makeup is kind of ruining it for me. I tweeted and deleted a message about how I learned in eighth grade not to put mascara on your bottom lashes, because at that point I saw Carrie Underwood’s makeup and realized that wasn’t the issue. Drew’s makeup is just clownish and overdone, but there are other women who wear just as much but manage to blend and make it work. Not Drew, who owns her own makeup brand, Flower Beauty.
The trailer for Drew?s new Netflix show about (mild spoiler) zombies or cannibals I guess, Santa Clarita Diet, aired last night as a fake diet ad. ?I satisfy all my cravings and eat whoever I want.? I?ll watch the first episode when it?s out on February 3, which is a Friday I just checked. Guess I should block off that weekend ahead of time.
Mandy Moore was in a black Naeem Khan gown with a long flowing skirt, a deep v-neck and a sheer cape. I thought capes were on the way out but she’s proving otherwise. Somehow this very simple black dress looks perfect and so classy. Normally I cringe at such open gowns, I dislike this trend and we saw a lot of it at the Globes, but it works on this gown.
Gina Rodriguez had on a silver fringe Naeem Khan dress which wasn?t as stunning as it should be, I think. The entire effect is rather showgirl. Gina was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, which went to Tracee Ellis Ross. Gina won the Globe in this category last year.
Caitriona Balfe of Outlander slayed in this blue and crimson Delpozo gown featuring a flower brooch at the empire waist. This is also different than just about every gown we saw last night, and it?s incredible. Look at how lovely this is with the folds along the sides and waist. Caitriona was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama category, which went to Claire Foy for The Crown.

| Blake Lively in velvet Versace at the Golden Globes: stunning or overkill? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

We had our fingers crossed for Blake Lively to show up at the Golden Globes ? where she hasn?t been in years ? as Ryan Reynolds? date last night, and it happened! Blake is Ryan?s secret weapon when it comes to his Oscar campaign for Deadpool. Blake will show off their children, she?ll wear fabulous dresses, she?ll support him doing whatever. Blake is in it to win it! And Deadpool, sadly, did not win anything, but that doesn?t mean Ryan?s Oscar chances are in the toilet. It just means that Blake needs to hustle even more. Blake wore this black velvet Versace gown to the Golden Globes last night. I?m enjoying it? Like, I think Blake is making a conscious effort to look glam in a more mature way, because she?s a mother of two and her husband is campaigning for an Oscar. So this dress works. It?s a flattering cut, her figure looks crazy-good and she and Ryan seem to adore each other. One criticism: I think the emerald cuff bracelets are sort of overkill.
Reese Witherspoon also wore Versace. This look reminds me of several different looks all at once but the callbacks are not favorable to Reese. Do I think that this is awful? Not at all. It?s flattering and sunny (there was a lot of yellow on the carpet so Reese was #ontrend) and she?s styled well. But I?m just not feeling it, I guess. I know she could do better.
I love that Naomi Campbell came out for no real reason to present with Matt Bomer. I feel like she hand-picked Bomer too, because he was the only guy in the room who was as pretty as her. Naomi wore this Versace look which was? okay.

| Kristen Bell in Jenny Packham at the Golden Globes: too open in front or glamorous? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kristen Bell was one of the first arrivals at the Globes in a Jenny Packham black metallic gown with an open front and a loose floor length skirt. A lot of people loved this but I thought it was just ok. I think I just dislike those very open front dresses, that’s not my favorite look. It’s very glamorous overall though her makeup is kind of try hard. She and her husband, Dax Shepard, are working on the new CHiPs remake, which Dax told Ryan Seacrest would be a “hard R” rating, which means raunchy I guess. It’s not the worst idea but it seems like all Hollywood churns out lately are remakes. Some work though and end up being fun franchises, like 22 Jump Street.
Also in Packham we have Millie Bobby Brown looking both cute and sophisticated in an off the shoulder cap sleeve silver dress with small hanging pieces. I’m really loving Millie’s fashion this awards season. She’s getting it right so often. Giuliana called her a fashionista during their red carpet interview and she was so right.
I didn’t even see Gillian Anderson on the carpet last night. This white Packham dress with a tulle overlay and jeweled neckline is just ok though. She looks so polished with her updo, understated makeup and dress. As a whole this look is impressive.

| Natalie Portman in chartreuse Prada at the Golden Globes: dated, fug or cute? | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
I was truly surprised that Natalie Portman lost the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama. The way the Oscar race is shaping up, Portman is looking more and more like a sure thing. Well, for one, after the Globes we now know that La La Land is a much bigger contender than any of us realized, so Emma Stone might be giving Portman a run for her money. And now Isabelle Huppert might be coming for the award too. So now I can?t wait to see Natalie?s gracious-loser RBF (resting bitchface). On the red carpet last night, she could barely force herself to look pleasant. It was amazing.
As for Natalie?s dress? it was Prada. Except for Lupita Nyong?o, I think Prada is a bad choice for awards shows. Prada never gets their busts right and the colors are generally off. While this shade of lemony chartreuse didn?t look bad on Natalie specifically, it is generally a bad color. I call this ?baby vomit? or ?bile.? Plus, the silhouette was so dated. It?s like she was wearing a maternity dress from the ?60s. Everything about this was gloriously awful, basically.
Speaking of gloriously awful in Prada, I give you Jessica Chastain. It?s hard to put my finger on just what went wrong here. The color is a weird shade, for sure. The jeweled accents seem glued-on. The bust of the dress is awful. Her hair isn?t working. I?m not sure about the necklace. All in all, another red carpet fail for Chastain.

| 2017 Golden Globes Open Post: hosted by Justin Timberlake's unstoppable feelings | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Our annual Golden Globes Open Post is hosted by none other than Justin Timberlake, for his months and months of hustling. This is his reward, because I honestly don?t think he?s going to win any actual awards/rewards for his stupid and awful ?Can?t Stop the Feeling? song from Trolls. Justin did voice work and music for Trolls, and he got a Globe nomination for Best Song. He?s widely expected to get an Oscar nomination for it too, although I would love it if he was snubbed for even a nomination, much less the big awards. These are photos of Justin flying solo at the BAFTA tea party on Saturday. Where?s Jessica Biel? Hopefully she?s attending the Globes with him tonight. Fingers crossed for some bad bangs trauma!
Justin is up against ?City of Stars? from La La Land (a favorite to win, according to the Gold Derby), ?How Far I?ll Go? from Moana (Lin-Manuel Miranda, peeps!!), ?Faith? from Sing, and ?Gold? from Gold. While ?Can?t Stop the Feeling? was a true top-40 hit, the song is absolutely the worst and I?m hopeful that we will see Justin?s gracious-loser face tonight. Please let it happen!
Jimmy Fallon is the host of this year?s Golden Globes so it?s either going to be an alcohol-soaked mess or he?s going to make people play stupid games the whole time, or who knows? I bet he does something with Justin Timberlake. Ugh. I just realized that will probably happen. I wish Tina Fey and Amy Poehler would have come back to host, but we can?t have nice things. I would have paid real money to hear Tina and Amy?s Trump jokes. Instead, I bet Fallon will stay apolitical.
As for the rest of it? E!?s Golden Globes red carpet show starts at 6 pm and you can download an app for it here. Celebitchy and I will be tweeting throughout the red carpet and the show, and you can follow CB here @Celebitchy, and you can follow me @KaiseratCB. We?ll have full Globes coverage starting bright and early tomorrow morning!
