After laying low for awhile now, Kendra Wilkinson finally made an appearance yesterday (February 19) and was spotted having a little Pre-Oscar fun with her football player fianc, Hank Baskett.
The happy couple picked up lots of freebies as they made their rounds to the Starbucks Oscar Gift Suite, the Nicorette Gift Suite and the Silverspoons Oscars House. Kendra kept it comfortable and casual in jeans, tennis shoes and a Grand Canyon sweatshirt.

Even though I adore Angelina Jolie, it?s a complete mystery to me why people have started talking about her like she?s some kind of style icon. Tim Gunn talked about her like she?s the most flawless woman on the red carpet this awards season. In my mind, sometimes Angie gets it right, sometimes she gets it wrong. When she?s wrong, it?s not horrible (though she should maybe get a new stylist), but when she?s right, it?s pretty spectacular.
Say what you will about someone like Nicole Kidman (and I?ve said a lot of negative stuff about her), but Nicole really knows how to dress, and you can tell she spends a lot of time putting together her look, which I appreciate as a casual observer. No matter what my feelings about Nicole, I can?t deny that she makes for a really interesting red carpet. Angelina usually looks like she just grabbed the first dress she tried on, which, as I said, is sometimes good, sometimes bad.
As it turns out, I?m right about Angelina putting on the first dress she sees, according to an OK! interview with designer Nicole Miller. Apparently, Jolie has worn a few of Miller?s dresses in the past (news to me), and Miller claims that Angie isn?t one of those fashionistas who?s always in the designer?s studio for fittings and whatnot. Miller was always surprised when Angie wore one of her dresses, because she must have gotten it off the rack. Shocking!
Most female celebs spend hours closeted with exclusive designers to find just the right look for important events, discussing every detail, color and fabric.
But Angelina Jolie is so relaxed about clothing her perfect body, she just picks her gowns right from the racks!
“I’ve met Angelina but every time she’s worn my dresses I didn’t know she was going to wear it so it was a surprise to me,” designer Nicole Miller tells OK!. “She didn’t wear it because I was working with her. I wasn’t expecting it.”
Nicole usually finds out Angie’s wearing one of her pieces after the star is photographed on the red carpet, and her friends tell her, ” ‘Angelina Jolie is in the paper with your dress on.’ I go, ‘Really?’ I had no idea she was wearing it.”
Although the busy mom skips lengthy style sessions with the designer, Nicole says when they met she was nothing but nice.
“And she’s not as tall as I thought she would be,” she adds. “She was just very pleasant and easy.”

Earlier today, we reported on Angelina?s desire to wear a blinged-out necklace ?to impress Jennifer Aniston?, which many of you think is utter bullshit. I agree. I?d be willing to bet Angie already has her off-the-rack dress already picked out, including accessories. Although it?s really nice to know that Angelina is ?easy.?

Jealous Paris Hilton wants her ex-boyfriend Benji Madden back after seeing him hit it off with another sexy celeb. The hotel heiress - who split from the Good Charlotte rock star last November - has admitted she is still in love with Benji after seeing pictures of him spending Valentine’s Day with US singer Katy Perry.
A source said: “Paris still has very strong feelings for Benji and seeing those pictures has really hurt her - especially as they were taken so close to her birthday. She is determined to get Benji back and she is not going to let anyone or anything stand in her way.” Benji and Katy spent the romantic day together in Las Vegas, although the ‘Hot n Cold’ singer has since insisted they are just good friends.
She said “It’s two pseudo-famous people sitting next to each other - it doesn’t mean we were bumping uglies! You know I don’t just do that with anyone! Katy obviously denied that anything was going on, but I?m not sure I believe that. It seems like celebs feel obligated to say that until they?re practically married.
Nonetheless, I hope there?s no chance in hell Benji considers getting back with Paris. He can do much, much better. If nothing else, it seems like their lifestyles weren?t really compatible. Sure he?s famous and goes out often enough, but it appears like he?s still somewhat levelheaded about it. Paris is sober for less than three hours of the day. It doesn?t matter the day of the week, where she is in the world, or what else is going on ? she is at a club. Even sneaking into (and getting thrown out of) them on occasion. These two just have no chance in the long run.
And really, what sensible man would possibly want to end up with Paris long-term anyway? If I were a guy I?d pick Katy Perry over her any day.

Tori Spelling attributes her new gaunt figure to the pressure of being thin in Hollywood. Spelling says there’s so much media scrutiny and hints that you’re a failure if you’re above a size 0. She tells Us:
“They scrutinize you so much. You try to be the person who says, ‘Oh, I don’t care,’ but I feel the pressure,” she told Usmagazine.com Thursday at the Pull-Ups Potty Dance Party in NYC.
“You’re out there; your picture is in every magazine. They’re looking at you from every angle, no matter what you do,” she added. “You have to be careful getting out of cars now because they shoot up your skirt. Everything has to look good, and of course, there’s pressure to do so. I definitely feel it.”
Oh, whatever. No one cares about Tori Spelling. The only pressure she feels is the doctor pressing his hands on her stomach to figure out how much fat to lipo out. My first thought when I saw new photos of Tori Spelling wasn’t, “Gosh, Tori really slimmed down,” it was, “Tori Spelling is still alive? And people still take pictures of her?” Tori couldn’t even pay a photog to hide under her car to take an upskirt shot. Suggesting it would be like shouting “fire” in a crowded theater. Even alluding to it should be an offense punishable by death.

I think I’ve had two girl crushes in my life: Audrey Hepburn and Kate Winslet. Kate is so annoyingly, classically beautiful that I can’t help but love her, plus she can actually act. I wish she’d go back to her more reddish hair color, but at least she got rid of the tanned skin she was sporting a little while ago. Nicole Richie and baby Harlow have been in New York for several days. Nicole?s been attending Fashion Week shows all week, but for the past two days, Nicole pulled an Angelina Jolie - she went apartment hunting. I have no idea if Nicole is planning to move to New York alone, or with her boyfriend and baby-daddy Joel Madden.
Meanwhile, Joel Madden is in Los Angeles dreaming about Brad Pitt. He attended a charity fundraiser and was asked about his Oscar plans, and who he was rooting for. Joel said, ?I think Slumdog’s gonna win. I hope Brad Pitt wins ’cause he’s never won an Oscar, right? Well I’m rooting for him then. I hope he gets it this time.” Sweet. The Good Charlotte frontman and boyfriend of Nicole Richie said he would sit on the couch to watch the ceremony this weekend.
Speaking at a party in LA to support charity work in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joel said: “I think Slumdog’s gonna win. I hope Brad Pitt wins ’cause he’s never won an Oscar, right?
“Well I’m rooting for him then. I hope he gets it this time.”
Brad is up for Best Actor for his part in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button - his second Academy Award nomination.
Joel, who has a one-year-old daughter, Harlow, with Nicole, said being a dad was “great” and spoke about how it affected his views on the suffering in the Congo.
“I have a woman and child - two girls, you know - so it’s important to me. I love my girls, and every woman and child, especially when I see first-hand - when I was in Africa seeing it… it’s like looking at your own family and you just wanna do something”.
Joel’s twin brother Benji, lead guitarist in Good Charlotte, also attended the bash while Nicole was in New York.

Even though I was half-joking about Nicole ?pulling an Angelina?, I do think that Nicole and Joel probably admire Brangelina, and I can easily point out several instances where it seemed like Nicole and Joel were following in The Brange?s footsteps. I don?t think it creepy/scary Octomom stuff, I think Joel and Nicole probably just admire the celebrity couple. I really hope Nicole and Harlow aren?t leaving LA alone though - even though I worry about the state of their relationship, I hope they make it work.

AnnaLynne McCord is in Fired Up!, a movie that until recently I have only seen trailers of on MySpace ads. This tells me this movie will probably bank 10’s of 100’s of dollars. AnnaLynne was at the Culver City (where?) premiere of the movie, and the one good point is that I actually think she looks good in these pictures. I’m usually not one to really say that AnnaLynne is hot or a looker, but this is at least the second time I have thought that. AnnaLynne McCord would probably would need some “enhancements” to completely change my mind, but it can be done!

Wah wah wah, Tori Spelling is moaning about how she feels pressured to be thin in Hollywood. Last time I checked, she didn’t have a flourishing career, so if she really wanted to, she could get the hell out of the public eye, move away from Hollywood, and fatten up, little filly. I literally did everything with my kids and my husband. Before I knew it, [the weight] came off.”
Guess what, Bonejangles? You better start eating some oats and mash and fatten up, or it’s off to the glue factory for you.

I?ve said it before, I actually think Jesus is hot, a real catch. It bums me out that Madge stuck her claws in him. A photo of a battered Rihanna made the rounds on the internet late last night. Subsequently, the LAPD launched an internal investigation into who leaked the photo to TMZ. They ask that you contact them if you have any information because they’re stumped.
At about 7 p.m. on February 19, 2009, the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section began receiving numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown. The photograph appeared on an entertainment website. The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation.
The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence.
The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint.
A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.
On the flip side, it took this long for the photo to leak anyway. By LAPD standards, that’s a huge improvement. They must be taking out the hourly donut and celebrity roundtable discussions and doing actual work.

Kate Winslet used to get naked at the drop of a hat, but now promises she will never do another nude scene again. The 33-year-old actress told Time magazine that she doesn’t want to be known as “that girl.”
“I think I won’t do it again: A. I can’t keep getting away with it, and B. I don’t want to become ‘that actress who always gets her kit off.’”

Kate Winslet has appeared nude in 10 films, according to Mr. Skin. The nudity she displayed for her latest role, as a concentration camp guard in love with a barely post-adolescent teen in The Reader, has garnered both praise and extreme criticism. Some said the nudity was natural, lovely, and a necessary way of displaying her character’s vulnerability. Others found it an offensive means of humanizing a war criminal who committed horrific acts.
Winslet is considered the front runner for the best actress award at Sunday’s Oscars. She told Time that she won’t be doing nudity in the future - because she’s not sure she can “keep getting away with it” and doesn’t want to pigeonhole herself as the actress who is always nude:
When Daldry approached her about replacing Nicole Kidman, who had left the project in January 2008 after becoming pregnant, “I was concerned about whether I was skilled enough,” Winslet says. The nudity required for the film’s sex scenes didn’t unsettle her ? though she now says, “I think I won’t do it again: a) I can’t keep getting away with it, and b) I don’t want to become ‘that actress who always gets her kit off.’” But she wondered if she could handle a German accent, play Hanna convincingly into old age and find a foothold in a character who exemplifies the banality of evil. “You don’t have to make the audience like you. And not worrying about that makes the job much more interesting,” she says. “But I did say to myself, Come on, Kate. You don’t have to humanize her, but you do have to understand her.”

Time has a slideshow of Winslet’s “10 best roles” and when you remember the great films you’ve seen her in it’s easy to see why she deserves an Oscar. Movies like Sense and Sensibility, Iris, Holy Smoke, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Revolutionary Road had her playing complicated, nuanced characters of all kinds.
After six nominations and no wins it’s generally though that Winslet’s time for an Oscar has come. Whether she deserves an Oscar for this particular film, or if she’s receiving one as a kind of tribute to her incredible career doesn’t seem to matter despite all the debate. This is an actress who is willing to bare herself on many levels and who has the ability to use her body in a way that enhances a character and doesn’t detract from the story. I don’t see why she shouldn’t continue to do that if it’s called for.

Is it possible that Harrison Ford, who has twice been twice divorced in a costly manner, is going to marry for a third time? Rumor has it that Ford and his longterm girlfriend, Calista Flockhart, are about to be married:
Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart could finally be set to tie the knot nearly two years after they got engaged.
Rumours of their imminent wedding are said to be swirling in the town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where the couple have an 800-acre ranch.
They have reportedly had blood tests, which in some parts of the U.S. are required in order to obtain a marriage licence.
New York Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams reported: ?Jackson Hole bigmouths swear Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart took blood tests and got licenses so could be they already are, or soon will be, filing joint returns.’

Harrison divorced his wife Melissa Matheson in 2004 (two years after he began dating Calista) and settled for $85million after 27 years of marriage. She also received an ongoing interest in the films he made during their marriage, including the Indiana Jones Trilogy.
Prior to that Harrison divorced his first wife of 15 years, Mary Marquardt, settling for an undisclosed amount. Not including Calista’s son, Harrison has four adult children and three grandchildren.
Calista adopted her son Liam in 2001, and Harrison credits him with keeping him young. Harrison proposed to Calista on April Fool’s Day 2007, and I think most people presumed that the pair wouldn’t get married because of how long they’d been together and the nature of the proposal’s date. Most predicted he’d marry Calista shortly after he divorced his second wife in 2004, and when it didn’t happen there was a lot of break up talk.
Perhaps the reason for getting married is to give Calista a more solid claim on Harrison’s life and estate as he gets old. In the event of Harrison becoming very ill, a wife has a lot more say in his treatment then a girlfriend or even a child. Harrison has grown children who could be asked to make decisions in the event he is unable to. I don’t think they would be consulted if Harrison had a ‘wife’ rather than ‘life partner’. A friend of mine is recently got married to her much older partner for similar reasons to this.
Of course, they might just be madly in love and looking to cement it, and celebrate it. Congratulations to Harrison and Calista.

Gwyneth Paltrow is in trouble. Not for the GOOP monstrosity, not for the miniskirts, not for being generally unpleasant. No, Gwyneth is in trouble because she couldn’t properly mouth the words to a song - a song sung by her husband Chris Martin.
Here?s the scene: After the Brit Awards Wednesday night, Coldplay performed at the benefit concert for the charity War Child. Gwyneth was there to cheer on her husband - lots of other people were there too, like Sienna Miller. As Chris Martin got up to sing with Gary Barlow from Take That, many people (including some eagle-eyed journalists) noticed that Gwyneth was trying to sing along with her husband, and she was failing miserably. The Daily Telegraph has more:
She may claim to feel like a native after living in London for five years, but Gwyneth Paltrow would still do well to brush up on her British pop culture.
On hand to see her husband Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, perform at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire to raise money for the charity War Child, the actress was unable to sing along with the rest of the audience when he and Gary Barlow, from Take That, performed Back for Good, one of the group’s most famous hits from the mid-90s.
Her forlorn attempts to mime the words reminded me irresistibly of poor old John Redwood, as Welsh Secretary, trying and failing to make it look like he knew the words to the Welsh National Anthem.
Martin also sang his anthem Fix You which he wrote about his wife’s bereavement following the death of her father Bruce from cancer.
She has said: “It’s so hard for me to listen to some of those songs. I’m amazed he stuck with me, because I was a wreck. I can’t believe that he did.”
The song still maintains its emotion for the couple and when Martin sang the lyrics on Wednesday night his wife raised her hands in the air and closed her eyes.

So it really doesn?t sound that bad. It?s not like she forgot the words to a song written for her by her husband, she just didn?t know the words to a song her husband didn?t write, yet was performing. Still, I find that when I don?t know the words, it?s best to keep my mouth shut and listen to the music. Nothing?s worse than attempting a sing-along and just coming out with ?By the…mmmmm….uhhhh… and we?re…..laaaa…? Note to Gwyneth: just keep your mouth shut, and there won?t be any problems.
