If you were wondering how much stupid you could squeeze out of Kristin Cavallari, just put her in front of a camera and ask her opinion on something she knows nothing about but has strong feelings towards because she once read books on the subject. Yea, I’m talking about vaccines.
Cavallari was a guest onWatch What Happens Live on Tuesday and was asked by Andy Cohen about her stance on vaccines. Again.”Kat George wants to know, ‘How can you knowingly support the spread of potentially deadly diseases by not vaccinating your children?’”
Kristin answered the only way she knew how. By spouting off “facts” she once read about.
“Here’s the thing: At the end of the day, I’m just a mom. I’m trying to make the best decision for my kid,” the shoe designer, 27, replied. “There are very scary statistics out there regarding what is in vaccines and what they cause — asthma, allergies, ear infections, all kinds of things. And we feel like we’re making the best decision for our kids.”
Holy crap. That’s almost the same way sports stars answer questions. “At the end of the day, I’m just a player. I’m trying to make the best decision for my team.”
Anyway, let’s forget for a moment Kristin isn’t a doctor and probably hasn’t ever read a real medical journal and these facts she came up with she probably found on some website. Hypothetically, let’s assume you could get asthma, allergies and ear infections from vaccines. Would you rather have those or a re-emergence of polio and measles? Before you open your mouth, Kristen, that was a rhetorical question.

She?s always had a knack for style and Eva Mendes was thrilled to launch her new Spring collection for New York & Company in Los Angeles last night (March 18).
The ?We Own the Night? actress was all smiles as she hobnobbed with guests at the Chateau Marmont, looking drop dead gorgeous in a silver strapless dress.
Earlier in the day, Eva showed up at the Beverly Center to meet and greet fans and pose for pictures at a pop-up store launch.
Unfortunately, Ms. Mendes didn?t bring her handsome boyfriend Ryan Gosling along for any of her appearances, though she insists they?re still together.

Maggie Q won my heart at theDivergent premiere in Westwood yesterday by wearing this dress. I don’t know what you even call it. It was just two pieces of fabric tied together with thin strips of cloth. It was like what gladiators used to wear into battle or what slutty people wear because it’s an easier way to undress. That is to say, I’m a big fan. Big, big fan. *Winks, covers crotch, walks away bent over*

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen have a somewhat charming new interview in this month?s ELLE. I guess they?re promoting their perfumes, which is kind of cool. I?ve heard that if a celebrity has a fragrance that ?hits,? it can be one of the most lucrative branding choices ever. Britney Spears is a good example of that ? Britney?s fragrances are extremely popular. Jennifer Lopez too ? I still wear Glow and I LOVE how light and feminine it is. Anyway, the interview is a lot about their fragrances (Nirvana White & Nirvana Black) and how to wear perfume in general, and then there?s some funny beauty stuff at the end. Like, Mark Kate only recently learned how to brush her hair?! Some highlights:
Mary-Kate on their perfumes: ?We really started the initial thought process focusing on Nirvana Black, actually. It was about the scents that we loved: sandalwood, musks, something sensual, and something that felt nostalgic in a way. And the more we started thinking about our brand, we recognized there?s such a duality to Elizabeth and James, and we felt it was really only appropriate if we did two scents and gave a choice. So then we started down a floral path, but we still wanted that same sensuality, so we focused on peony. Nirvana White had to feel like it came from the same place, from the same intention. They?re just two different types. We wanted them to feel like oils. My sister and I are very big on oils. That?s something we?re working on next actually, which is great for us. But Nirvana is really about how they fit on your skin and how they settle.?
MK on how to wear perfume: ?For me, it depends on the application. With a spray bottle I usually spray it out and walk through it, or I?ll spray it on me from afar. And with oils I usually tend to rub it on my wrists and then use my wrists to dab behind my ear and on my neck. That way it?s more of just a hint of fragrance.?
Ashley on how to wear perfume: ?I also like if you spritz it in your hair, then to me it becomes not something that?s really applied, but it becomes something that feels a part of you.?
Ashley on bad beauty habits: ?I don?t do this myself, but I feel like the worst beauty habit that people have is when they pick their own skin. That?s just really bad. Everyone?s tempted to do it sometimes, but it?s just the worst thing you can do. I prefer to get ready with the lights off so I?m never even tempted to look at my skin!?
Ashley?s hidden talents: ?I think I?m pretty good at doing other people?s makeup. I think after getting my makeup done for so many years I?m pretty good at that. My friend actually also made me cut her hair the other day and that didn?t look too bad either. She had long hair, too. It was down to here [salutes to her belly button] and I cut it up to here [points to just below her shoulder]. She made me do it, but it looks great. I made it a blunt, A-line haircut. And then we had a professional come in after and clean it up a bit! But it was pretty good on its own.?
MK on beauty habits: ?You know, the truth is I feel like I just learned how to brush my hair like last week! [She laughs.]

Is MK joking about brushing her hair? Is it possible for a woman to not know how to brush her hair? Or does she mean styling her hair? Or maybe she means brushing her hair the right way? I think I?ve made this confession before, but here goes (again): I don?t own a hairbrush and I haven?t owned one in more than a decade. If I want to untangle my hair, I use a wide-tooth comb and I pretty much only use it once or twice a day. That being said, I know HOW to use a hairbrush and I’ve known since I was like 4 years old. I just don?t like the way my hair looks when really brush it.
As for how to apply perfume? it does depend on the perfume and where you?re going. If it?s just dinner, I like a nice spritz in the neck area, and ?walking into? the perfume does work too. But if I?m putting on perfume for the whole day, I like to make sure the pulse points get a concentrated spritz. Sometimes I put a little perfume in my hair too, but I know I?m not supposed to (it messes with your hair, apparently).

Eva Longoria covers the April issue of Hong Kong’s Prestige magazine. This magazine loves her and just used her as a cover girl last year. We haven’t heard much from Eva since she announced a new rich boyfriend (possibly) in the hopes of making George Clooney jealous (he’s not listening). Maxim named her “most sexy” a few months ago. Eva appreciates that title, but she wants us all to know how amazing and well-rounded she is as a woman. She’s every woman. It’s all in her. Eva raves about her four amazing movies and her wonderful production company. These excerpts are so self-aggrandizing but kind of funny too:
She is not only sexy but so amazing: “I never thought of myself as a sex symbol. I just do the cover of magazines. I think it’s really unfair men or people in the world think you can’t be both-you can’t be a sex symbol and a serious businessperson. Who says I can’t be both? Who says I can’t do the cover of Maxim and run a production company? Women are complex. Women are beautiful and intellectual and spiritual and social and entrepreneurial. They’re everything. And I think I’m a great example of that.”
Her master’s degree? Also amazing: “That is finally over. I got my degree last May. I completed it in three years, which is an amazing feat – an amazing accomplishment for me! I had always wanted to go back and get my master?s degree. And the fact that I did it while I was on a hit show and running around the world…I look back and go, ‘What was I thinking?’ When I started it, I didn?t think it through or I probably wouldn?t have done it. Everyone finds reasons not to go back to school. Once I founded my foundation about pursuing higher education, I wanted to be the example of no matter what, you can always go back to school. No matter how old, no matter how busy. I?m such an academic person anyway. I?m super curious about the world, I love learning new things, so it kind of fit in with my personality.”
How does she do it? “You have more time than you think. Everyone thinks, ‘I don’t have enough time.’ There?s a lot of wasted time in your day that you don?t realise. I?ve always utilised my time in the car, I’ve always utilised plane rides to catch up on my reading and return emails. I’ve always taken advantage of every single hour of the 24-hour day. I always mix business and pleasure. I went to Paris to shoot for L’Oreal, but of course while I was there I wanted to go to the Louvre. And I was in Mexico at a conference but while I was there I found time to go to the beach. I love cooking. I just flew in yesterday from Mexico City. I ran to two meetings and a conference call in the car – and another conference call while I was grocery shopping – so that I could relax and cook dinner for my family and friends. That to me is just so relaxing.”
She even takes time to tweet! “I obviously don?t answer every tweet. But I tweet, I do it all. It?s a very interesting process. Actually, the airplane pillow that Brookstone used to make – my favourite airplane pillow – I tweeted Brookstone and I said, ‘Pleeeeeease make this pillow again!’ And they reached out to me. That?s how many people retweeted my tweet to Brookstone and they reached out to me and said, ‘We’d love to make it again.’ [laughs] It?s definitely an effective tool to get messages out, specifically with my philanthropy and my activism.”

I read that Eva’s master’s degree is in Chicano studies. Good for her for going back to school, but the way she talks about it is so James Franco. Eva also tries very hard to sound very smart with her vocabulary. I get accused of that sometimes. My problem is that I fall into wordy, nonsensical rants when I get sleepy. It is a problem, and I try to watch it (coffee helps so much). Yet Eva fully means to say stuff like “founded my foundation” and “I?ve always utilised my time in the car, I’ve always utilised plane rides to catch up on my reading and return emails.” Never say “utilized.” That makes you sound like a tool. Always say “used” instead.

I would never have chosen Blake Lively for a period film, but I have to say? she doesn?t look too bad in mid-20th-century costume. These are photos of Blake on the Vancouver set of Age of Adaline, her new starring role in a feature film. Blake hasn?t been on a film set since 2011, when she did Oliver Stone?s Savages. And she wrapped on Gossip Girl in 2012. So, it?s been about a year and a half since she?s worked as an actress, and about two-and-half years since she?s been on a film set. Did she do that on purpose? That?s the debate. While I don?t doubt that Blake could have hustled up some film work before now, I do wonder if she?s being offered the kind of roles she thinks she deserves. It?s the Biel Syndrome.
But, Blake got a lead and she?s filming it in her husband?s home country. Ryan Reynolds has been in Vancouver too, and he stopped by to see Blake yesterday. I guess they had lunch together. This too is one of the reasons that Blake didn?t work for a while: she was loved up and she hung up her Hustlin? Boots. She was focused on her marriage and that?s her choice. Bless her.
As for this film, which is either going to be called Adaline or Age of Adaline, it is period? sort of. Blake plays a woman who stops aging at the age of 29 after a near-fatal accident. She gets to be Forever 29 throughout the 20th century, until she meets a man and something happens. I can?t wait to see 1970s Blake.

Here are some photos from last night?s LA premiere of Divergent, the new franchise that is trying to make Shailene Woodley?s sunshine vagina into the next Jennifer Lawrence (good luck with that). I?m just talking fashion here! I?ll let Bedhead discuss the intricacies of Shailene?s endless hippie musings.
So, let?s start the fashion talk with Kate Winslet in this SAFiYAA Spring 2014. I?ve never heard of this label (have you?), but it reminds me strongly of the Stella McCartney illusion dresses that Winslet wore endlessly a few years ago. The color is meh on her, her styling is kind of rough (what?s with her hair?), but I?ll give her some credit: I like that she went figure-skimming even though she?s recently had a baby. She?s embracing her motherly figure and it?s nice.
As for Shailene, she wore this Elie Saab gown which? I don?t know, I don?t hate it. It seems like a typical gown for a girl premiering her first big starring role. Elie Saab gets a lot of shade for making red carpet-ready glittery gowns, but I think they do it well and the gowns are very wearable and flattering. I guess my complaint here is this gown seems a bit to mature for Shailene.
Kiernan Shipka in Valentino ? Kiernan isn?t in the movie, she just came to the premiere for fun. It would have been cool if Shailene had worn this, right?
Ashley Judd was there too?wearing Elie Saab as well. See, Elie Saab works on a woman Judd?s age. This is pretty.
And finally?. OMG. Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet. Look at how this beast towers over her. Look at how beautiful he is. Look at how beautiful she is. Damn.

I kind of wondered if you guys were even still interested in this story, but I got some requests for some updated coverage, so here you go. Last fall, Katharine McPhee was photographed kissing a man who was not her husband. The man was Mary McCormack?s husband Michael Morris and it was pretty obvious that they were having an affair. Michael returned to Mary and Katharine announced that she and her husband were separated and that she was super-embarrassed that she was caught. Honestly, Katharine seemed like she was sort of pleased with the attention and she didn?t really act like she was upset with the idea that Mary and Michael?s marriage was now hanging by a thread.
Skip ahead four months and Us Weekly recently announced that Katharine and her husband Nick Cokas are now giving it another go. A ?source? (named Katharine McPhee) told Us Weekly, ?Katharine and Nick are working on their marriage.? They?ve been photographed out and about together several times too. Reportedly, Mary McCormack and Michael have reconciled too, after she briefly kicked him out.
And now everything?s coming up homewrecker, because McPhee has just signed on to be the lead in a CBS pilot:
Katharine McPhee is returning to the small screen. The Smash and American Idol alum has booked the female lead in CBS’ genius drama pilot Scorpion, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Based on the life of Walter O’Brien, the drama revolves around Walter (Body of Proof’s Elyes Gabel), an eccentric genius, and his international network of super-geniuses who form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age.
McPhee will play Paige, a working-class hero and diner waitress who understands geniuses who becomes a nanny of sorts and a translator for Walter’s super-team of socially misunderstood masterminds.
For McPhee, the casting marks her return to series television following her two-season co-starring role on NBC’s Broadway drama Smash. The American Idol runner-up also has feature Depravity in the works. She’s repped by WME and the Schiff Co?McPhee joins a cast that also includes Robert Patrick and Eddie Kaye Thomas.

So, did Katharine score a lead role in a network drama just based off of her Smash skills? Or is this yet another example of Hollywood rewarding the worst people who misbehave? I find it really strange that Katharine McPhee is somehow qualified to star in a network drama. And I think this whole thing is fishy as hell.

Hilary Duff has recently returned to celebrity gossip circles after news of her collapsed marriage to Mike Comrie. Before her separation news hit the airwaves, Hilary had been aiming to make a big career comeback after taking a few years off. She’s constantly tweeting from the studio. She’d love to return to her previous Lizzie McGuire glory, but I doubt she’s got a chance to catch up with the Mileys and Katys of the world. No shade on Hilary’s talent (because Miley and Katy aren’t terribly talented). I’m only saying it’s hard to come back to the public eye when you’ve been out of the scene. Hilary will try mightily to get a foot back into the pop world. She’s got a new spring single on the way.
Hilary is also trying to gain control of her life from the paparazzi. How do they always manage to know where she is at all times? She’s usually pretty nice to them and can muster up a friendly smile. Little did I realize that the paps are really bothersome to Hilary, who is echoing the sentiments of stars like Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard (they want a boycott of celeb magazines that print photos of kids). Hilary is tired of the paps taking photos of her son, Luca. She’s firing back with her own hashtag:

I tend to think that Keira Knightley has changed a lot over the past few years. She used to be a grumpy little thing, very serious, very morose, bordering on humorless in interviews. But for the past few years, the grumpy fog has lifted and she?s been so much more charming, open and lovely. Perhaps the reason for that is her husband James Righton? They seem like a good match, and it seemed to get serious very quickly. And now that she?s a married lady, she just seems? lighter. Anyway, Keira has a charming and curse-filled new interview with The Telegraph. You can read the full piece here, and here are some highlights:
She loves watching football on the telly: “Football is basically the reason I got a television. I didn’t have one before, because I didn’t know where I was going to be, so there was no point. And I got hounded by the TV licence people. I’m like, ‘I don’t have a f- TV licence because I don’t have a TV! Please come in and see that I don’t have one!’ But now I have one because it was getting ridiculous watching football on the laptop. Oh, and I love Masterchef. It makes me cry. Oh my God, it’s just so f- emotional. It means so much to them. I get to the end and I weep. I just f- love it.”
Life as a child actor: “I’m dyslexic and obviously I found reading and writing really difficult. When [my parents] found out I wanted to act they used it as a carrot to dangle in front of me. If I kept up my grades at school, I’d be allowed to go up for auditions.”
Director Joe Wright told her to stop pouting: “He allowed me a little bit in Atonement, because the character was kind of an ice queen, and I was allowed in Anna Karenina because she’s a vain beast, but certainly not in Pride & Prejudice.” He does allow her in the CoCo Mademoiselle ad campaigns, in which he directs her (they have just completed their third). “Oh yeah, he definitely lets me pout a lot in those. But that’s the great thing about shooting with Joe – we have shorthand. I know what he likes and vice versa.”
Her Chanel wedding dress: Last summer she married James Righton of the indie band The Klaxons. She wore a Chanel dress (of course) that she already owned. “Karl [Lagerfeld] very kindly designed me a jacket to go with it. I’d worn the dress lots. It was my something old. And I liked not making a big deal about it. I just wanted to be in something I had had a great time in, something I would have a great time in again. It’s now got red wine spilled down the front because the last time I wore it my friend went like this” – she juts out her elbows – “and now it’s everywhere. I didn’t quite realise the extent of it until I got home. It’s quite impressively splattered. But, hey, a good night is a good night and when a dress has had its time, maybe it’s had its time. I’m pretty sure I can get it out but, if I can’t, I’m happy with the memory of a good night and the story of how the dress got destroyed.”
She lives in London but she loves Paris: “I really love Paris. It took me years to get my head around it but now I’ve found all these little pockets. It’s also a city that I’ve been on my own in quite a lot, but here you can be a woman on your own, walking around, eating alone, and not feel threatened. I love that about a city. I love that here I feel incredibly private and protected. There are privacy laws. Which doesn’t stop photographers always, but it does at least give you a legal right to say, ‘Don’t follow me.’”
Her current style must-haves: “I love dungarees. I’m a massive fan of them. I wear the dungarees so much that I’ve now got three pairs, because it was getting to the point where I was like, ‘You have to wash them, Keira.’ And I’m really into Doc Martens at the moment. I think I’ve decided to become my eight-year-old self again, because when I was eight that was all that I wore – dungarees and Doc Martens.”

I love the wedding dress stuff ? we talked about how she repurposed her favorite Chanel party dress for her wedding, then repurposed it again with a sheer leotard-thing for a charity event in London last year. I kind of love that she didn?t ask Karl Lagerfeld to make some crazy, only-wear-it-once gown for her wedding, that she just went with a dress she loved and she was fine with re-wearing it after the wedding.
Also: in Brit-speak, dungarees are overalls, right? I had to look it up, because this whole time I thought ?dungarees? in Brit-speak meant ?khakis?. But they are jean overalls, or as we say in the South, bibs.

Yes, like we already said last month: George Clooney is officially dating Julian Assange?s hot lawyer Amal Alamuddin. She?s one of Britain?s top lawyers and she?s not some silly C-list wrestler or whatever. Amal is a woman of substance. She is a woman with an education and a real job. She sits down with despots, hackers, captains of industry and movie stars. Of course, the first time she ever got invited to the White House was as Clooney?s plus-one for The Monuments Men screening, so maybe she likes Clooney?s trappings of fame too.
A safari with George Clooney? That’s one trip to remember. The Monuments Men actor whisked his new girlfriend, British lawyer Amal Alamuddin, off for a jaunt to Tanzania to watch wildlife. Exclusive photos in the new issue of PEOPLE show the couple on one of their first trips together after romance rumors swirled when they were spotted dining together back in October.
The pair more recently turned up together for a special screening of Clooney’s latest movie on Feb. 18 at the White House alongside President Obama. When they had a nightcap at a local hotel afterward, “his arm was around her shoulder and she had hers around his,” an observer told PEOPLE at the time. “They just seemed very, very together.”
A source who has worked with Clooney has high hopes for the new romance.

So George is letting Stacy ? and all of us ? that he?s fine. He?s already moved on. He?s moved on with a hottie with a law degree.

First of all, while I admire George?s political work most of the time, I?ve never thought of him as some smooth, savant-like political operator. He?s not. He?s smarter than the average movie star, but that?s a low bar. I would even bet that Amal is smarter than George. And that?s what makes me think that this won?t last. George doesn?t like or need for his girlfriends to be smart. He likes being the clever one in relationships.

The gorgeous ladies chatted up the host about the challenges they face as models, such as wearing 30-pound wigs on the runway.

Keeping up on her always-chic Bohemian style, Vanessa Hudgens went out for a bit of retail therapy at Planet Blue in Beverly Hills, CA on Tuesday (March 18).
The "High School Musical" alum looked perfect for the beginning of spring in a floral print dress and sunglasses as she smiled on her way out of the hip boutique.
In other news, it looks like Vanessa had a fun evening with girlfriends recently as she posted a photo from the exciting night to her Twitter page.

She isn't your typical bride who has her wedding dress stored up in a box after the ceremony, in fact, Keira Knightley's dress wasn't even new.
The "Anna Karenina" actress explained of the Chanel creation, ?I?d worn the dress lots. It was my something old. And I liked not making a big deal about it,? she said. ?I just wanted to be in something I had had a great time in, something I would have a great time in again.?
Showing just how laid back she is, Keira said she didn't flinch when the dress was accidentally spattered with red wine recently. "It?s now got red wine spilled down the front because the last time I wore it my friend [knocked my arm] and now it?s everywhere.I didn?t quite realize the extent of it until I got home. It?s quite impressively splattered. But, hey, a good night is a good night and when a dress has had its time, maybe it?s had its time. I?m pretty sure I can get it out but, if I can?t, I?m happy with the memory of a good night and the story of how the dress got destroyed.?
Of her every day style, the British babe quipped, ?I love dungarees. I wear the dungarees so much that I?ve now got three pairs, because it was getting to the point where I was like, ?You have to wash them, Keira.? And I?m really into Doc Martens at the moment. I think I?ve decided to become my eight-year-old self again, because when I was eight that was all that I wore ? dungarees and Doc Martens.?
