Everyone knows she?s drop-dead gorgeous so Vanessa Hudgens didn?t feel the need to get all gussied up before heading off to acting class on Thursday (July 10) in Los Angeles.
The ?Spring Breakers? babe wore a white top with patterned pajama pants and fur-lined slippers as she strolled up the street, sans hair extensions.
Meanwhile, Vanessa?s new ad campaign for Bongo is making headlines for being completely unretouched or edited.
She explained, ?The clothes make me feel carefree and confident, which is why I love that the final ad images are unretouched. It's so important for girls to remember that real beauty shines from within, and I'm so proud that Bongo is choosing to send such as positive message with this campaign.?

He?s always had a big heart, and once again Justin Timberlake has used his celebrity powers to bless one of his most ardent fans.
The ?Like I Love You? singer, who showed up outside the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City after his Thursday night (July 10) gig, reportedly went out of his way to cheer up 12-year-old Robbie Twible, who suffers from a skin disease called epidermolysis bullosa.
Justin surprised Robbie with front-row seats to the show and a limousine to take him to and from the venue. During the set, he also dedicated ?Mirrors? to Twible.
After the concert, Robbie gushed, ?It was amazing. He can sing, dance and act, and he gives to charity. He?s very talented!?
His dad added, ?When Justin Timberlake comes on, he can really move. He?s got great dance moves.?

Pamela Anderson filed for divorce from Rick Salomon earlier this week. They were married for the second time January and split less than six months later. Anderson and Salomon’s first marriage in 2007 lasted just two months so this is progress. (Anderson was also married to Tommy Lee from ’95-’98 and to Kid Rock for less than a month in 2006.)
Up to now we haven’t known why idea why Anderson and Salomon split, but it’s not like anyone expected them to last. Anderson may want to explain things. She has posted a very long, wordy poem to her Facebook page in which she heavily implies that her breakup happened after she found out that Salomon was up to some kinky sh*t online. I’m going to rely on E!’s bulleted highlights here, because the original is difficult to decipher. It’s some kind of treatise on her identity as a sex symbol preventing her from having a genuine relationship. At least that’s what I got out of it, there’s a lot to read into:

I can’t tell whether she’s saying that she checked Salomon’s web history and found that he was into bizarre sex stuff online, or whether he was ordering prostitutes or both. Not that it matters, I just wonder about it.
There’s more in the poem that hints at serious problems in her relationship and how she’s suffering. She writes: “It doesn’t feel good to be used, neglected, ignored—
controlled….

Anderson also references drug or alcohol abuse. “feeling empty, sad– withdrawn- Left to Isolate– Medicate.”
I really, really hope she’s ok. She sounds very vulnerable and upset and I hope she has friends around her. About two months ago, Anderson revealed that she was sexually abused as a child. (Some of you mentioned that she opened up about this in the past.) It sounds like she’s really struggling with her relationship and her sense of well being. I’m worried about her.

I?ve gotten some requests to cover this so? sigh. Let?s do it. LeAnn Rimes is really starting to amp up the promotion for LeAnn & Eddie, the VH1 reality show. She really hopes that this show will jump-start her country music career so that she can have some money coming in ? at the moment, the money is just going out. Mostly to buy Eddie ?presents.? So, she?s trying this whole ?touring? thing again and this is how she announced it:
I guess this is supposed to be cute? But I?m just embarrassed for her. I?m embarrassed that I watched this mess and that I listened to that ?song.? It?s not schadenfreude either ? I?m not pleased that she?s failing. I?m just embarrassed.
Meanwhile, Life & Style has a story this week about the VH1 show. Allegedly, Eddie is ?secretly humiliated? by LeAnn?s antics and their marriage is seriously on the rocks. LeAnn spends a lot of time on camera engaging in ?drunken tirades, crude behavior and inappropriate talk? in front of his kids. Eddie ?doesn?t even want to promote? the show. Here?s the funniest quote: ?She thinks it?s normal to get into bed and burp and fart under the covers and waft it toward Eddie. He doesn?t want his wife to look that way for the world to see?. Then at one point on the show, she says something ridiculous about sex to the kids, and Eddie tries to stop her.? She needs to stop wafting the farts towards him and just shove his head under the covers and dutch oven him. For what it?s worth, Gossip Cop?s sources say the story is full of lies.

This week?s Star Mag has a story about Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson?s wedding, some of which we?ve already heard before. But there were some new details that I thought were interesting. A little backstory: yesterday I wrote about Joe Simpson and his young boy-toy, who was pretty much Joe?s ?date? to the wedding. The boy-toy is 21-years-old and this is not the same young hustler that Joe (allegedly!) had an affair with a few years ago. This is a newish kid. And Joe is his ?manager.? Yeah. Anyway, as it turns out, Jessica asked Joe to organize a lot of the wedding plans, and it totally upset Tina. Poor Tina.
Jessica Simpson?s wedding may have seemed like a harmonious family affair, with Joe officiating, mom Tina walking her down the aisle, son Ace as ring-bearer and daughter Maxwell as a flower girl and her sister Ashlee as one of her 14 [editor?s note: 14!!!!!] bridesmaids, but it was anything but. In the days before the ceremony, it looked fights between Tina and Joe ? as well as a dispute between Jessica and Eric ? came close to unraveling the event.
?Jessica had warned her parents that they had to get along and not embarrass her at the wedding. But Tina made it clear to everyone, she was furious that Jessica chose her father to organize the three-day event.?
The source says Tina complained about everything from the food to the venue. ?Jessica had finally had it and told her mother that it was her wedding and to stop moaning,? the friend said. And Joe added to the drama when he seemed to be enjoying that his ex was causing problems.
?Joe knows full well that Jessica favors him over her mom and he plays that up a little to get back at Tina for how he feels she treated him after the divorce.?
In addition to her parents? fights, Jessica and Eric fought over the prenup, says an insider. They threw out two previous prenups after canceled wedding plans following both of Jessica?s pregnancies.
?This time, Eric wanted a more favorable agreement because he takes care of their kids and has given up his career. But Jessica has seen what a disaster her parents? marriage turned into and really wanted to protect herself. They finally agreed shortly before the wedding.?

First of all, I hope Tina got good and drunk. Like, I hope she got completely hammered at the reception because chica deserves all the mojitos. It?s not enough that she and Joe had a bad divorce, but he gets to officiate their daughter?s wedding like he?s still Mr. High and Mighty? And he gets to bring his 21-year-old boy-toy? Yes, bring Tina all of the cocktails. Poor Tina.
As for the prenup stuff? I don?t know. It?s interesting. Bless her heart, I?d be willing to believe that Jessica didn?t even care about the prenup. She thinks Eric is The One. And maybe he is, I don?t know. But the prenup sounds more like Joe than Jessica.

Here are some more photos of Kim Kardashian at the Vogue Foundation Gala two nights ago in Paris. This is her worst look in months, I think. But they all blur together. For the life of me, I will never understand why she does slicked-down center parts. That hair style is so unflattering on her. Kim wants to be a MILF: ?Well, I am definitely way sexier ever since having my daughter! The struggle to get back into shape after giving birth is such a real one. Kim?s style preferences for North: ?Ever since having my daughter?I mean, I’ve always liked simple style, and I’ve found that that’s so hard to find in the kids’ department. Everything’s Pink and patterned, and that’s just not what I want to dress my daughter in. So our first collection had this cream color palette and was very sweet and soft and feminine, and then we added in some faux leather pieces and moto jackets this time around that are really edgy and cool.
North already has style preferences: ?She doesn’t like Pink or purple?she likes greys, creams, oatmeal colors and black. Every once in awhile she’ll add in some color, like with her little red Air Yeezys, but other than that she likes to keep it pretty simple.?

Kim as a MILF? Ugh. I mean, I?m glad she feels sexy or whatever and I know she worked hard to get back into shape, but I really hate when women refer to themselves as MILFs. Is that just a pet peeve for me? I wonder about the North stuff though ? North is only one year old ? is she really THAT choosy about her clothes? I can see it happening with a 3-year-old and up, but does a one-year-old really look at her clothes and only pick out the grey stuff?

Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel stepped out for the premiere of S*x Tape in LA last night. Jason has a look on his face that says, “What did I get myself into with this gig?” This movie will probably do decent business but will be another forgettable raunchy comedy. Jason looks kinda studly here. Much healthier than he did while shooting last fall. He has some demons, that one. I think he’d actually be great in dramatic roles, but he keeps going for comedies.
Cameron is wearing a dark blue Stella McCartney jumpsuit with gold flecks. This outfit isn’t unflattering like a lot of Stella pieces, but it’s an odd choice for premiere. Maybe it would have been better for a photocall (or as pajamas) but not for a full-on red carpet experience. I do appreciate that Cami’s not wearing yet another cocktail dress. Cam went with Prada sandals and simple gold Cartier and Kimberly McDonald jewelry. The orange lipstick is an unexpected nice touch, and I like it. Cameron looks too unformal here, but she still looks good.
Rob Lowe bought his wife, Sheryl, Berkoff, and their (college-aged son), John, to the premiere.

On Monday, The Daily Mail published a story about George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin and how Amal?s mom didn?t care for George because, as the Mail?s sources claimed, George is not Druze. The article?s sources claimed that Amal comes from a close-knit Druze family and that her mom wanted her to marry within the Druze clan. Less than 48 hours, George sent out a lengthy statement/open letter bashing The Mail?s story as journalistic malpractice and claiming that the Mail had gotten everything wrong. The Mail deleted the story and published this apology to George:
On Monday MailOnline carried an article which alleged that the mother of George Clooney?s fiance Amal Alamuddin would prefer her daughter to be married to a member of the Druze religious group. Yesterday Mr Clooney said the story was ‘completely fabricated’ and exploited ‘religious differences where none exist.’
In a statement MailOnline said: ‘The story was not a fabrication but supplied in good faith by a reputable and trusted freelance journalist. She based her story on conversations with a long standing contact who has strong connections with senior members of the Lebanese community in the UK and the Druze in Beirut. We only became aware of Mr Clooney?s concerns this morning and have launched a full investigation.
?However, we accept Mr Clooney?s assurance that the story is inaccurate and we apologise to him, Miss Amal Alamuddin and her mother, Baria, for any distress caused. We have removed the article from our website and will be contacting Mr Clooney?s representatives to discuss giving him the opportunity to set the record straight.’

I thought that was interesting. Like, the Daily Mail says that they did have legit sources on the story and they have faith in their reporter but they?re withdrawing the story and offering an apology. It wasn?t the reaction I was expecting from the DM. Still, controversy over? Not so much. George has issued another statement to USA Today. This is totally bigger than Watergate.
There is one constant when a person or company is caught doing something wrong. The coverup is always worse. In this case, the Daily Mail has printed an apology for insinuating religious tensions where there are none. In the apology, managing editor Charles Garside claims that the article was “not a fabrication,” but “based the story on conversations with senior members of the Lebanese community.”
The problem is that none of that is true. The original story never cites that source, but instead goes out of its way to insist on four different occasions that “a family friend” spoke directly to the Mail. A ” family friend” was the source. So either they were lying originally or they’re lying now.
Furthermore, they knew ahead of time that they were lying. In an article dated April 28, 2014, reporter Richard Spillett writes in the Mail that “Ramzi, (Amal’s father), married outside the Druze faith,” and a family friend said that “Baria, (Amal’s mom), is not Druze.” The Mail knew the story in question was false and printed it anyway.
What separates this from all of the ridiculous things the Mail makes up is that now, by their own admission, it can be proved to be a lie. In fact, a premeditated lie.
So I thank the Mail for its apology. Not that I would ever accept it, but because in doing so they’ve exposed themselves as the worst kind of tabloid.
One that makes up its facts to the detriment of its readers and to all the publications that blindly reprint them.

OMG, George Clooney is Twihard-Proofing the Daily Mail!! He?s got the documents! He?s got the DNA tests! He will prove journalistic malpractice, by God. Seriously though, George makes a good point about the ?sources? and the buffet of weird/false reporting about Amal. And it?s his right to do so, and hey, it makes for great gossip stories. But that?s sort of the problem if you?re George, right? He?s brought SO MUCH attention to these Daily Mail stories. It?s The Streisand Effect.

While preparations for the pair?s wedding are (finally) underway, Justin is adamant that his god pal Terry do the photography. But Jennifer has issued a strict ?keep the creep away? policy for their big day.

Back in 2004, CBS News anchor Dan Rather was already known as something as a wild card. But his decades of journalistic integrity got turned around within the span of a week when he and CBS News producer Mary Mapes did a story on then-first-term president George W. Bush?s National Guard records. The scandal was known by many names ? ?The Killian Documents Controversy? or ?Rather-gate.? The crux of the scandal was that Rather used some old documents from the early 1970s to show that Bush?s National Guard records were less than stellar, that his father had used his political influence to keep Dubya out of Vietnam and that Dubya had been very close to getting kicked out of the National Guard for insubordination, going MIA, failure to report for duty and on and on.
Conservative blogs and many mainstream outlets questioned the authenticity of the documentation used by CBS. Many said the documents looked forged and there was a lot of Twihard-proofing (before Twihard-proofing was a thing) of the whole situation. Mary Mapes ended up being fired by CBS and Rather?s career took a major hit. But, for what it?s worth, Rather stood by the story for the most part, and over the past years, he?s even double-downed on the reporting, save for the questionable documentation. Long-term, Rather and Mapes might have been (mostly) correct too. So, why this trip down memory lane? Because they?re making a movie about this whole situation. Starring Cate Blanchett as Mapes and Robert Redford as Rather. YES TAKE MY MONEY NOW.
Robert Redford is attached to play CBS News icon Dan Rather and Cate Blanchett is attached to play his producer Mary Mapes in Truth, a film that will mark the directorial debut of James Vanderbilt, the A-list screenwriter behind the first two installments of The Amazing Spider-Man. The film will explore the scandal that erupted after Rather reported on 60 Minutes II that George W. Bush had gotten preferential treatment that put him in the National Guard to avoid the Vietnam War draft. The ensuing scandal during Bush?s reelection campaign left Mapes fired and Rather?s storied reputation in tatters.
Vanderbilt is adapting Mapes? 2005 memoir Truth And Duty: The Press, The President, And The Privilege Of Power. They are eyeing a fall start, so this is all moving on a fast track. The project has not yet been set at a studio, but I expect it will not take long.
Shortly after they uncovered evidence of prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib, CBS News producer Mapes and former CBS News anchor Rather thought they found the story of their careers as Bush?s reelection campaign was getting underway and he was facing competition from Democratic candidate and Vietnam vet John Kerry. The story, based on documents purportedly from the files of Bush?s deceased National Guard commanding officer, alleged that the president?s powerful father, then an ambassador and future president, made calls to put him atop the list for the Texas Air National Guard. The aim was to keep his son from having to fight in Vietnam after he graduated from Yale in 1968. The docs came from a retired lieutenant colonel with the Texas Army National Guard. The story prompted an outcry of criticism from Conservative corners and the pressure spurred an internal CBS investigation into whether the documents were forgeries.
Mapes, who?d worked in TV news 25 years and won the Peabody Award, was subsequently fired for what the network called lapses in judgment. Strangely, the Bush campaign actually benefited from the scandal. His campaign exploited Kerry?s military service by getting some of his former soldiers to speak against him?a move now called ?Swiftboating? in campaign circles?and it helped Bush win reelection. Mapes maintained her belief that the documents were real, and that she and Rather were done in by a right-wing internet smear campaign that put the focus on ?Rathergate? instead of the issue of whether the president benefited from his father?s powerful relationships to avoid service in Vietnam.

Putting aside the politics for a moment, can I just say? damn, this sounds like a great movie? Robert Redford as Dan Rather is a brilliant stroke of stunt-casting and Cate Blanchett as a tough and maligned news producer? YES. She?ll be doing an American accent again. Just like she did for the roles that got her two Oscars. Perhaps I?ll be the first to say it: Cate Blanchett is totally going to get an Oscar nomination for this.
Incidentally, this whole thing reminds me of another great movie about CBS?s newsroom culture ? The Insider. That?s another great movie with another great actor playing an iconic CBS newsman: Christopher Plummer as Mike Wallace. Perfection. And, oh yeah, Pacino and Crowe, both of whom act their asses off.

Here is a new print ad for Blake Lively?s ongoing endorsement deal with Gucci. She?s the face of the Gucci perfume Premiere. And she and Ryan Reynolds have his-and-her Gucci endorsements. They are the Gucci couple. Allegedly, Blake got paid $4 million initially in 2012 when she became the face of the brand, but she?s probably renewed the deal at least once and that probably means more money. Gucci put out the new commercial for the campaign as well.
This is much better/sexier than the first commercial, which unfortunately had Blake mumbling through her lines awkwardly. This time around, Gucci was like, ?we don?t need to hear her speak.?
Meanwhile, Page Six had an update on Blake?s little Goop Lite site that she announced last year. I thought she would have launched the damn thing by now, but Page Six says it?s coming? soon.
Blake Lively is about to start her lifestyle and e-commerce website.
Our source says the actress will launch the site July 23 selling, ?curated fashionable items.?
Lively has said in the past of her plan, ?The main element of it is that it?s about storytelling, and it?s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that.?
We?re told it will have a focus on artisans and products chosen by Lively, who will also appear in videos on the site.

A lot like Goop. Like, A LOT. Although, as I always say, Gwyneth Paltrow?s Goop started somewhat organically. She just did it as a newsletter once a week, then she gradually added the Goop Shop and it spread from there. Blake is trying to do it all at once ? a Lively Shop, Vlogs, advertisements for ?artisans? and such. I hate the term ?curated fashionable items.? It feels condescending. Like, peasants can?t ?curate? their own items. We don?t deserve to have a choice in what we shop for. We should just buy what Blake tells us to buy.

Lindsay Lohan was back in NYC for a few days to spend some time with her family and celebrate her birthday. She returned to London earlier this week because she has to rehearse for Speed-the-Plow! Lindsay Lohan, stage actress. The show doesn?t start ?til September, but Lindsay needs all the ?rehearsal? she can get. And by that I mean she?s doing rails in the coat closet while her understudy rehearses.
Lindsay Lohan is back to her old tricks! As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported last month, the troubled actress is attempting to re-launch her stifled career across the pond, but according to the new issue of Star, the 28-year-old is already behaving badly on the set of her new theater gig, David Mamet?s Speed-the-Plow.
Sources tell the magazine that an off-the-wagon Lohan has been clubbing all night, then arriving to rehearsals late and unprepared, and sometimes not showing up at all.
?The cast is already really annoyed,? an insider says. ?The director told her that, basically, it?s a one-strike deal; if she misses one more practice or comes in late again, she?s done.?
The star has been spotted partying until the wee hours at London hot spots Whiskey Mist and Chiltern Firehouse. Lohan was publicly chastised by the CEO of production for her unprofessional behavior on the 2006 set of film Georgia Rule. In 2013, The Canyons screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis said his star was often ?mixed up,? ?scattered? and ?bossy.?

But! WhatsOnStage talked to the spokesperson for the production and the spokesperson told them that ?rehearsals are not yet under way and casting still in progress.? Oh, that?s interesting. So, Lindsay is just back in London for fun and games? And then when rehearsals officially start, then we can say that she?s a mess who never shows up on time, etc, etc? Because that?s exactly what?s going to happen. This Radar/Star story was just a preview of coming attractions. I have an alternate theory for the endgame for this production too: what if no actor wants the trouble of signing on to a Lindsay Lohan experience? If they don?t find the actors, will the production have to be canceled?

We all like to imagine what things will be like in the future, and Tyra Banks is no different. The model penned a piece on what's to come in the world of fashion for the Wall Street Journal's Op-Ed page this week.
The "America's Next Top Model" host laid out some amusing thoughts on the direction fashion (and life) will take in the few next years and beyond.
Among the 40-year-old's predictions: hair extensions will be a thing of the past and "Plastic surgery will be as easy and quick as going to the drugstore for Tylenol. Emphasis will be on how unique and interesting one can look, as opposed to a cookie-cutter look. People will be vying for that cutting-edge, distinct look in the way that today celebs reach for baby names that defy convention."
Beyond the fashion world, Tyra predicts (among other things) robots becoming assistants and parents being able to pick out the features for their unborn children.
