The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out of her chauffeured vehicle showing off her near-perfect figure in a belted dress and heels while flashing her beautiful smile for the excited crowd.
Meanwhile, Kate?s royal hubby Prince William will soon set out for a tour of duty in the Falklands for six weeks, leaving Middleton without him on their first Valentine?s Day as a married couple.
According to the wife of a marine-pilot, Kate once said to her, ?I don?t know how you manage. I miss William so much when he goes away. He went once for four weeks and I missed him so much.?

A year ago, Katy Perry refused to listen to anybody who told her not to marry Russell Brand or make him sign a prenup, because they were in love and a love like theirs lasts forever. Except it didn’t, and now he’s entitled to half of the $44 million she made in 2011. TMZ says:
Everything they earned during their 14-month marriage is community property — which means they’re each entitled to 50% of the pot — so Russell could have scored a fortune if he exercised his community property rights.
But as one source put it, “This divorce is as amicable as it gets… Russell doesn’t want Katy’s money. He’s happy to walk away with the money he earned — which is far less than what Katy raked in.”
Well, I’ll be damned. I figured he would milk that dumb broad for all she’s worth. I wouldn’t have guessed there was a noble bone in Russell Brand’s body, unless “noble bone” was just one of those coy British euphemism meaning “erection.”

You know, I’m really starting to feel sorry for Tim Tebow. Not only has the guy dealt with Katy Perry’s parents trying to set him up with their daughter, but he’s had to suffer through Perry dedicating lewd song lyrics to him about his “Peacock.” In addition, Tebow has been fending off the advances of Kim Kardashian, which he politely declined, but she hasn’t gotten the message. Everyone knows that Kim — with her sex tape, Playboy spread, and two divorces — has no business trying to get into Tebow’s pants; well, everyone knows except for Kim herself.
Even though she reportedly has sworn off football players, Kim hasn’t given up on bagging Tim, and his resistance has seemingly only stoked her desire to get in his good graces. Now she’s walking around wearing cross necklaces, Tweeting about starting a bible study group, and doing the church-buddy thing with LeAnn Rimes. It’s so transparent, but she really believes that Tim (and the rest of us) are stupid enough to believe her act. Now this week’s issue of OK! is all about Kim “pray[ing] for a chance” with Tebow, whom she’s been targeting for months, and she even went so far as to reshoot some later episodes of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” to highlight her (fake ass) religious values and pious nature. Really.
How many times have we seen it happen? In the wake of a cataclysmic event, somebody gets religious. And so it seemed (to some skeptics, at least) with Kim Kardashian. The reality diva’s disastrous 72-day marriage to basketballer Kris Humphries unleashed a tsunami of bad press — chiefly, she was accused of weddng Kris for commercial reasons — and seemed to damage her brand.
And now, Kim is firing off Tweets like this one: “On my way to church with the girls!” she said to her almost 13 million followers. “I want to start a Bible study group with my friends!”
Inspiring, isn’t it? Except that some insiders say Kim’s sudden display of piety may have an ulterior motive: that the sex-tape icon, 31, is trying to sack Tim Tebow, the super-religious Denver Broncos quarterback — you know the guy who kneels and prays on the field — and self-proclaimed 24-year-old virgin.
“Anyone who knows Kim knows what she’s up to,” a source tells OK!. “She thinks Tim’s hot and she knows dating him would really boost her image. And Kim could really use some help in that department.”
Kimbow? Tardashian? Clearly Kim has a thing for sports stars; aside from Kris there was her great love, NFL star Reggie Bush. But hooking innocent Tim requires more than the standard play.
“If he were just the average athlete, Kim would pull the same move she used on Kris,” the first source tells OK!, adding, get front-row seats to his game and send a message to the locker room with her number. But Tim’s different. She can’t just use her sexuality.”
And so Kim called on a higher power. “She set her sights on Tim months ago,” the source says. “She shot extra scenes for ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York,’ making sure she emphasized her Christian beliefs.
Another insider who’s close to Kim isn’t so cynical, arguing that her spiritual side is — ahem — well developed and that it plays into her attraction to Tim.
“Kim thinks Tim is a dream,” the insider tells OK!. “She appreciates his courage to weather criticism about being publicly religious. So I think Kim is inspired by that act of bravery. As for the bible study, that’s nothing new,” the insider adds. “Her family was very committed to their spiritual ideas — very Catholic.”
Ah, but will it be enough? “Kim’s not Tim’s type at all,” a Tim insider tells OK!. “He likes down-to-earth girls who aren’t high maintenance. And the sex tape is the type of thing that grosses him out.”
Still, you can’t completely count Kim out. Says the source: “When she decides she wants someone, she goes out and gets him.”

This story is completely believable. Kim’s already been busted reshooting scenes of “Kourtney & Kim” to make herself look more sympathetic while pretending to agonize over the decision to divorce Kris Humphries. Also, that unnamed source who insists that Kim and her family are incredibly spiritual and devout Catholic? To state the obvious, that sounds a lot like a source named “Kris Jenner.” We all know how Kris dreams of controlling the tabloids, right? The really funny thing about Kim’s obvious maneuver is that she assumes that Tim would even watch her show in the first place.

Making another stop on her media blitz, Vanessa Hudgens was one of the guests appearing on this morning's (February 8) episode of "LIVE! with Kelly" in New York City.
The 23-year-old actress joined Miss Ripa to promote her upcoming film "Journey 2: The Mysterioous Island" - which hits theaters this Friday, February 10th.
During her interview, Vanessa dished about how she's heading to Paris to premiere the film on February 12th.
Asked if she can speak French, Hudgens replied, "Very little, I can say, 'Hello, how are you?,'"
Meanwhile, fellow guest Michael Strahan was asked if he knows the language, to which he jokingly answered, "Yes, french fries, french toast, french loaf - that is all the French I speak."
Miss Hudgens then spoke about her past trip to the country, telling, "I was there were with my mother last year and I have this application on my telephone, you write and it translates and says it for you. I did not need to speak French, it speaks for me."

Ah, Kourtney Kardashian. The other one. The one that reminds me of a former roommate who settled for a bad dude and then acted like he was the only dong ever. I?ll never understand. Anyway, Kourtney is knocked up again, and she and Scott Disick are trying to get some attention. Thus, they made the cover of Life & Style with a dumb story about how Kourtney is finally going to leave Scott now that she?s pregnant again. Here?s a spoiler: she?s not going to leave him. Oh, but Kourtney might be having a girl this time? That?s exciting, I guess. A little girl who is half Kardashian and half Disick? that?s a scary prospect. I?m never scared by the Kardashian-Disick combo in little Mason-Dixon, just because I?m still not convinced that Mason is Scott?s biological son. And I still can?t believe that story didn?t get more traction! Anyhoodle, here?s Life & Style?s report about Kourtney having a girl:
The Kardashians will be making room for another girl in their tight-knit clan! A friend of Kourtney Kardashian’s confirms exclusively to Life & Style that the 32-year-old brunette is set to welcome a daughter.
Kourtney and her boyfriend, Scott Disick, are already parents to a son, Mason, born in December 2009. On November 30, Kourtney announced they?d be expecting their second child.
“Kourtney was hoping for a girl,” the friend confesses in the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now. “She loves having a boy but thinks having a girl would be perfect so she can dress her up and show her the ropes in life.”
And although it’s been a trying time for Kourtney and Scott, their happiness over having a daughter is something they can agree on.
?A girl would be a fantastic addition to our family,? he?s told Life & Style. “It feels amazing,” Kourtney’s told Life & Style about being a mom. “It’s just so indescribable. You don’t get how good being a parent feels until it happens to you.”
While the friend spills about Kourtney?s baby girl joy, a rep for the star says: “Kourtney and Scott do not know yet what they are having.?

But as I said, all is not well in Kardashian-Disick-ville. Kourtney hasn?t had sex with Scott since she got pregnant (gross) and Scott is out clubbing all of the time:

?When Scott wants to get away he escapes to his own little bachelor pad on the Upper East Side,? the source continues. ?He?s had it forever and doesn?t plan to get rid of it. It?s definitely not suitable for family living, though ? it?s a tiny apartment.?
Although Kourtney is pregnant with her second child, the 32-year-old mommy reportedly hasn?t slept with Scott since she got pregnant four months ago!
?Scott says that as soon as Kourtney got pregnant, she stopped having sex with him,? another insider reveals. ?He jokes that it?s like he?s a stallion and she just uses him to get pregnant. He laughs about it, but you can tell that he?s starting to get really bummed.?
Kourtney?s sisters and mom Kris Jenner know how upset she is so they are doing what they can to cut Scott out of the family.
?Kris and the family are inking long-term deals for everything from clothing lines to skin care products, but Scott?s cut out of it all,? the source says. ?He gets none of it. They just want him to find a job, any job.?

I thought Kris managed Scott?s career too? Isn?t that right? So by cutting Scott out of deals (allegedly), Kris is cutting herself out of Scott?s potential earnings too. Which means that the story is BS. There?s no way Kris would refuse to make money off of her kids and their partners.
Now, all of that being said, I was recently talking to someone who watched the last season of the Kardashian show, and they claimed that Scott has really ?changed? and become a decent guy. Is that true? Or is it just better editing?

These are some new photos of Scarlett Johansson out in NYC last night with her brother Hunter. Hunter was her date for Runway To Win Launch fundraiser for Pres. Obama. Lots of fashion designers and Vogue people were at the event, but ScarJo was one of the few actresses. So she ended up getting a lot of face time with the media outlets covering the event, and she ended up sounding extremely vapid. Like, I understand that she was at a political fundraiser, and I?m not hating on her because she?s a staunch Democrat – those are my politics too! But I?m so wary of celebrities pontificating out of their ass about anything political, and I don?t think ScarJo is the brightest or the most eloquent of the Democrat celebrities, you know?
So, first off, Us Weekly had a story about Scarlett getting on her high horse about how she?s NOT going to go to fashion shows this year. She told Us Weekly, ?You won’t see me at any fashion shows, I prefer to be much more low key. I just remembered it was that time of the year, I’ll need to stay away from Lincoln Center.? Girl, you?re at a fundraiser thrown by VOGUE. You?re also a ?model? more than an actress, with several high-profile endorsement deals, several of them with fashion houses. Stop acting like you?re so ?above? fashion.
The next fumble – Scarlett was asked about Pres. Obama and Michelle Obama?s style, and she said, ?They’re both so stylish and they both have this casual, cool style that’s personal to them. They’re a really fashionable couple.” When asked about the Republicans fighting it out for their party?s nomination, Scarlett chose to discuss Rick Santorum? and his sweater vests. She said: “Oh gosh, so sad. My dad wore them and I mean they’re charming for family photos I guess and dinner with the grandparents. I think there’s an ironic way to wear a sweater vest but other than that I’m not sure.” So, Scarlett Johansson, self-appointed political advocate, can only discuss the president?s style, and the style of one of the Republicans. Because Santorum?s sweater vests are what?s disturbing, right? Not his agenda. It?s all about the vests. And remember, Scarlett?s so ABOVE fashion too.
And finally, when she was told that Republicans were criticizing the Vogue fundraiser as ?elitist,? ScarJo replied, ?Why would they say that? They are all so unfashionable. Let them say what they want!” She brought it back around to fashion. How vapid is this girl?

Jennifer Garner is by outside appearances happily married to her husband of nearly seven years, Ben Affleck. She’s also very pregnant with her third child and is reportedly due in just a few short weeks. This is her second marriage, as she was married to Actor Scott Foley from 2000 to 2003. In a new interview with The Sun, Garner says that she found divorce “crushing” and suggests that she married too young. Outlets are focusing on her comments about divorce and marriage, but she does go into detail about her upbringing and how she got her start in acting, which you can read at the source.
Everyone reaches maturity at different times. I wish I’d known to wait for marriage until I was 30 or over.
I did marry in my twenties (to actor Scott Foley, whom she divorced eight years ago) and I found divorce a crushing experience.
I thought the divorce statistics would never apply to me. I was beyond heartbroken when they did. But I got up and got on with it. I also kept my belief in marriage.
I did not have a fairytale vision of the future but still believed I would find someone to commit to and raise kids with.
Ben is not only my husband, he has helped me in every way. He is the base of my life.
He is an incredibly loving and generous man. I expected he would be a great dad and he is. But what really surprised me was how, when something goes wrong, he is so much calmer than I am.
The great thing about growing older is that you do become more confident. If I have to dress up for something, I wear something true to myself, otherwise it feels like a costume. So my policy is to wear a dressed-up version of something I would normally wear.
I don’t dread it any more. It is a reality of the job. I always try to keep it simple. I love being the age that I am and am looking forward to being 40.
I have figured so much more out about life and feel the older women get, the more beautiful they get. We become ourselves ? which is something you can’t teach anyone at 18.”

There’s been a lot of gossip that Garner isn’t exactly the faithful type. We’ve heard that she cheated on Foley with actor Michael Vartan from Alias, whom she hooked up with in 2003 either before or after her divorce. Then there were rumors that she was unfaithful to Vartan with Affleck, as she started dating Affleck in 2004 seemingly right around the time she split with Vartan. Whatever went on, at the least she was relationship hopping. She seems like the type of woman who feels that they need to be in a relationship all the time. She has that in common with Ben’s ex, Jennifer Lopez.
It is nice to hear Jennifer gush about Ben. They speak about each other sparingly but when they do you can tell that they have a lot of respect and love for each other. You do get the sense that they’ve weathered storms together like so many other couples, but that they’re in a good place now. Maybe she’s also telling us, in a roundabout way, that divorce is not an option for her again.

David Beckham covers the new issue of Men?s Health Mag. I think he?s on the March covers of both the American and UK editions. We haven?t really discussed how David and Victoria are staying put in LA, have we? After much discussion about a possible move to Paris to play for a French team, Becks decided to stay put in California and sign on with the LA Galaxy for another year. He recently described how much he likes living in LA, and how the kids like their schools and the boys are even developing little American accents. David made it sound like it was his decision to stay, and Victoria would have been fine with anything. I personally think Posh likes it in America too – less judgment, more acceptance for her. Big, A-list American celebrities are wearing her clothes and her business is here too. Anyway, David has been talking about how happy everybody is, and some of the quotes are just too cute:
On having more kids: ?We might have one or two more [kids], you never know. We?re not thinking about it yet, but if it happens, great.?
On Harper Seven: ?She?s seven months now. I can?t even look at her without welling up. After having three boys, you just assume that you?re going to have another boy, but when we got told she was a little girl, it was amazing, amazing.?
The older boys: ?Since I?ve had a daughter I?ve got them all into martial arts. I just want them to protect her when she?s at that age. At that age when she needs protecting. Cruz does taekwondo, Brooklyn does boxing and Romeo does karate, so they?ll all be ready?But Cruz is the one who?s going to really look after Harper, he?s the tough one.?
The kids are competitive: “It would be easy for our kids to sit back and not work for anything, but they’re not like that. They’re as competitive as Victoria and me. We’re very lucky with our boys: They want to win. They want to work at something. They know their values. That’s the way we’ve brought them up so far, and that’s the way we’ll continue to bring them up.”
On family: “Family is the most important thing to me. That will always be the case. I’ve got my wife. I’ve got my four kids. I’ve got parents, grandparents still, and three really good friends. It’s all you need. I’d rather have three really good friends than 20 good friends.”

Aw?so cute. And while I believe that Becks has screwed around on Posh, I also believe that he loves Victoria and their family. He spends a lot of time with his kids, and he seems like such a hands-on father. Maybe it?s an act, I don?t know. But I buy it.

I was going to write about these Clive Owen photos yesterday, perhaps even see if our Clive had written us a dirty little love note, but I ended up punting on the story until today. Mostly because Clive Owen is just so? aimless lately. Like, I?m still hot for him, and he?s still a gorgeous, amazing man, but where has he been lately? These photos are from the Laureus Sports Awards two nights ago – Clive was the host of the London event. That?s what he does nowadays – he models, he gets paid to show up at events, he hosts sports awards shows. Clive used to be one of the most in-demand English actors out there. Why isn?t he getting more work? Why isn?t Clive making our biscuits tingle on the silver screen every six months?
Clive?s latest is an HBO film. There?s no shame in doing television, especially when it?s a big-budget HBO-style affair. Clive plays Ernest Hemingway in Hemingway & Gellhorn. Nicole Kidman and her jacked lips are playing one of Hemingway?s wives, Martha Gellhorn. Martha Gellhorn was a ballsy, groundbreaking female journalist and war correspondent. Nicole plays Gellhorn like a ditzy romantic heroine. Don?t believe me? HBO released a five minute trailer for the film, and while Clive looks interesting, Nicole looks HORRIBLE. I’ve sort of been indifferent to Kelly Ripa over the past handful of years, although I do remember the abrupt change in mood (from heavy sarcasm to infinite bubbliness) when Kelly took over “Live!” hosting duties from Kathie Lee Gifford eleven years ago. Ugh, that makes me feel rather old. Anyway, Kelly is now the sole permanent host of “Live!” since Regis Philbin blindsided her with a retirement announcement, which may or not have been motivated by money and respect. Interestingly enough, Howie Mandel (after co-hosting last week) is being floated as a possible replacement for Regis, but Howie himself insists that “[I]t’s [only] a rumor” and that Regis is “irreplaceable.” God, I love Howie. While I didn’t see him co-host last week, I recall him being quite endearing when he co-hosted with Kathie Lee. Again, I’m aging myself here.
Anyway, Kelly covers the March issue of Good Housekeeping to talk about balancing “Live!” with family life, which includes raising three children (aged 9-14) and maintaining her marriage to former soap (co-)star and current reality show host Mark Consuelos. Basically, Kelly gushes all about Mark and seems a little bit smug about her marriage, which always throws up roadblocks from a believablity perspective. Back in 2007, there was talk of trouble in the marriage, but Kelly and Mark seem to have weathered the storm. Maybe this one’s for real?
On Mark Consuelos: “He’s kind of awesome. I think he makes me better. He makes everything in our lives better.”
Her Marriage Isn’t Perfect: “We argue about children, discipline, homework, good-cop/bad-cop. He says he’s the bad cop and I’m the good cop, but really they associate him with fun and after-school activities. They associate me with inoculations, X-rays, and stitches. He’s more apt to dole out discipline, but my punishments are real. I’ll take away my son’s iPod if he’s fresh. When we’re traveling, Mark will say, ‘If you don’t stop, I’m going to have the pilot turn this plane around.’ I’ll whisper to him, ‘They know you can’t do that. The airline isn’t going to turn this plane around because you’re punishing the kids. You need to come up with something real.’”
On Being A Wife: “I make his coffee every day. I cook him breakfast in bed every weekend: scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, wheat toast, and coffee with cream. That’s what he wants. And I serve it to him on a tray. I don’t give him a hard time about seeing his friends. Or for doing things independently, like taking a weekend biking trip with his racing friends. He doesn’t need to take me everywhere or do everything with me. I’m very much about us having our own separate time. And I don’t give him a hard time about not doing things around the house, like taking out the trash.”
On Exercise: “I work out every day. It’s part of my life. That’s one of the benefits of having kids in school full-time. I’m usually done with work around 11 A.M., so I have time before I pick the kids up from school. I do it more for my insides than my outside, but the outside gets a nice benefit, too. I feel like my mind is a little quieter when I exercise. And I don’t have the best family history heart-wise, so I really try to keep my heart strong. I work out with a trainer three days a week. We do what I would call cardio ballet and power yoga. I take spinning classes, which I love, and I run.”
On Couple Time “After the kids go to bed, we have a couple of hours when it’s just us. We either talk about the day or watch one of our favorite TV shows. Otherwise, there’d be no time. We used to go away, just the two of us, for three days to celebrate our anniversary every year. I can’t remember the last time we did that. It just became too much to climb out from under the amount of homework that would pile up! Maybe when the kids are a little bit older, we’ll start again. We started having kids young, so when they leave the house, we’ll still be young enough to enjoy it. Of course, thinking about that makes me panic. I can’t even let myself go there.”
On Having It All: “I’m like a regular full-time mom; I just happen to work for a couple of hours while the kids are at school. I take them to all their activities. Mark is usually the later one home from work, around 6:00 P.M. We definitely share in the household chores. I do have a cleaning lady who comes and helps me, because I can’t be married to somebody who’s as OCD-neat-freakish and germaphobic as Mark Conseulos and do it myself. I need a person in there with a hazmat suit to spray bleach all over the place.”

Okay, so Kelly is slightly out of touch with reality because I think most of us would love the chance to make millions of dollars for a few hours of morning work on weekdays. She also has a cleaning lady, which frees her up quite a bit from the domestic drudgery that most “regular full-time mom” types have no choice but with to deal. Then again, most celebrities don’t clean their own toilets, so I can’t rip on Kelly for that. It’s nice that she enjoys serving Mark breakfast in bed, but if I were her, I’d totally make Mark take the trash out to the curb. It’s the least a guy can do.

I am not a sports person. I am a celebrity-gossip person. I will sit with you and talk about C-list celebrity famewhores for literally HOURS. If you try to talk to me about sports, my eyes will glaze over and I?ll start daydreaming about kittens. I?m just putting that out there, because I think my anti-sports bias is affecting the way I?m reacting to the ongoing Gisele Bundchen controversy.
To recap, shortly after the New England Patriots lost the Super Bowl, Gisele was walking with friends and she got heckled by a Giants fan. Gisele lost her temper, and she said to her friend,?You have to catch the ball when you?re supposed to catch the ball? My husband can not f****ing throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can?t believe they dropped the ball so many times.? She was caught on camera making this aside to a friend, and it?s debatable as to whether Gisele cared that the camera caught her words. What?s clear is that in Gisele?s mind, her husband?s teammates were the ones who screwed up, not Tom. It was a bitchy thing for Gis to say, but in the grand scheme of dumb, sanctimonious, Goop-tastic crap that has come out of Gisele?s mouth, her Super Bowl comments didn?t even make my top ten.

Stepping out for the second night in a row, Beyonce Knowles was back for another visit to Carnegie Hall in New York City on Tuesday night (February 7).
The glowing new mom took to the locale to support husband Jay-Z as he took the stage for another intimate concert to benefit the United Way of New York City and his Shawn Carter Foundation.
Looking simply stunning, Beyonce was clad in a tight-fitting Monique Lhuillier sequined gown with Gucci shoes, a Chanel purse and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
The 30-year-old made her post-baby debut at Carnegie the previous evening, during which she was asked about her man's performance by the New york Daily News, to which she replied, ?It was amazing."

Picking up her precious little one from a day at preschool, Nicole Kidman was spotted with Sunday Rose in Los Angeles, CA on Tuesday (February 7).
The ?Moulin Rouge? mama was all smiles as she carried her daughter?s Pink backpack out to the car, with the two ladies hopping into their seats and speeding away.
During a recent interview for the Television Association Winter Session, Kidman explained that she prefers to keep her personal life out of the spotlight.
