| Taylor Swift Tells Esquire Magazine November 2014: Men Show Up at My House Threatening to Kill Me? | Added 10 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

While her music is usually pretty uplifting and fun, Taylor Swift also has to deal with a much darker side of life given her success and beauty.
In the November 2014 issue of Esquire magazine, the ?Out of the Woods? songstress shares that she?s accepted that she needs to have a security team around her at all times.
"I fought the idea of having security for a very long time, because I really value normalcy. I really do. I like to be able to take a drive by myself. Haven't done that in six years. They have to be in a car behind me. Because just the sheer number of men we have in a file who have showed up at my house, showed up at my mom's house, threatened to either kill me, kidnap me, or marry me."
For instance, one man threatened her via social media while claiming they were married. "This is the strange and sad part of my life that I try not to think about. I try to be lighthearted about it, because I don't ever want to be scared. I don't want to be walking down the street scared. And when I have security, I don't have to be scared."
And while the media constantly questions her love life, Taylor doesn?t see anything wrong with it. "I would date someone, figure out we weren't compatible or figure out we didn't work out, and then we'd break up. That seems like a very normal thing for a young 20-something to do. I think it's healthy for everyone to go a few years without dating, just because you need to get to know who you are."

Showing some love to her English fans, Nicole Scherzinger turned up at the HMV Music Store on Oxford Street in London last night (October 20).
The ?Don?t Cha? songstress wowed the crowd in her cleavage-baring black and white getup with studded ankle boots as she signed copies of her long-awaited studio album Big Fat Lie and posed for photos with her loyal followers.
Earlier this week, Nicole chatted with Metro about the new record, noting that there?s plenty of emotional content within its lyrics.
?I wrote the majority of this album last year when I was going through my break-up. But it?s about past relationships as well. I feel more confident as a woman now and being able to talk about the sh*t that I haven?t talked about before.?

Titled ?Welcome to New York,? the catchy ditty describes Taylor?s experience moving to the Big Apple and her love for her new home.
The ?Out of the Woods? songstress sings, ?Walking through a crowd, the Village is aglow, Kaleidoscope of loud heartbeats under coats/ Everybody here wanted something more/ Searching for a sound we hadn?t heard before.?
Taylor wrote ?Welcome to New York? with One Direction singer/songwriter Ryan Tedder, who also served as producer. 1989 hits stores on October 27th.

Yesterday, we saw Paris Hilton in one of the tackiest outfits ever, so it looks like she decided to class it up at the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation event. I must admit, she looks fantastic here and I’m loving the chesticle exposure. I know there is not enough to motorboat, but there is enough for me […]

| Kim Kardashian in a red ribbed skirt & grey bodysuit: unflattering or not bad? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?ll admit it: after looking at La Pinocchio Butt for too long, Kim Kardashian?s butt looks almost normal. Don?t get me wrong, I?m sure both Khloe and Kim have butt implants and they might even be in the midst of some kind of butt battle, but Khloe?s butt is clearly the winner, if by ?winner? we mean ?the biggest freakshow butt.? Anyway, these are new photos of Kim out and about in West Hollywood yesterday. She stopped by some office building and then she did some shopping at Fred Segal.
I don?t really get Kim?s outfit. But after yesterday?s fiasco ensemble ? the jorts and backless shirt thing ? this outfit is almost a welcome respite. Still, I don?t get the combo of a red ribbed-knit skirt with a grey bodysuit. I?ve never been one of those people declaring some color to be ?the new neutral,? which is what happened here. Someone told Kim that either grey or red is the ?new neutral? and thus it could be paired with any other color. When really, this combination just looks off. To me. Maybe I?m alone. Fame/Flynet also notes that Kim was carrying a purse that read ?PUNTA.? Yikes.
Meanwhile, Radar says that Kim has over-the-top demands for any appearance or business deal that she might undertake:
Kim Kardashian has shilled everything from diet pills to video games, perfumes, and more. But slapping her name on a product doesn?t come without a price: RadarOnline.com has uncovered secret business emails from the star?s reps outlining just what it takes to get Kardashian involved with a product launch ? and her over-the-top demands will shock you!
The emails were sent between a rep for Kardashian and the owner of a firm that was interested in hiring Kardashian to promote their brand. Radar has decided not to reveal the brand to protect the source.
According to the emails, Kardashian?s minimum rate for an endorsement is $750,000 to $1 million. Wrote the rep, ?I think you should definitely come back with the best offer that you can make her from a money standpoint, so that we can save the time going back and forth.?
But the fee is only the half of it. For travel

| Jennifer Garner in a sparkly purple dress at Elle event: cute or too young? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

These are photos of some of the fashion at the Elle Women in Hollywood event last night. Kaiser told me that Calvin Klein sponsored the event. While I don’t have a designer ID on Jennifer Garner’s sparkly purple cap sleeve number, it’s possibly Calvin Klein. This is a fug dress with little shape. It looks like she should be wearing a bodysuit underneath for when she tumbles. Maybe Garner should fire Rachel Zoe as her stylist.
I sort-of like her styling, I’m glad she ditched the bangs and her makeup is decent, but that nude lipstick has to go and it looks like she’s been hitting the Botox.
Emmy Rossum went for a menswear look in a sexy Versace pantsuit which works, IMO. She’s showing a little skin at the neck but she’s not hanging out of it, and her high ponytail and cat eyes complement the look well. She looks hot. I would have made Emmy the headliner but no one comments on her posts.
Sarah Paulson paid tribute to the late Oscar de la Renta in a whimsical sequin and feather de la Renta gown that fits her like a glove. This dress is so thoughtful, I love how the square sequins on the bodice are broken up by the oval inkblot beading at the neckline, which mirrors the feathers on the skirt. It’s perfectly balanced.
Andie MacDowell didn’t bring her fashion game, she was wearing a scoop neck navy top and black skinny jeans, but she looks amazing right? She’s 56 years old. I’ve covered Andie several times and I should know this, but I would have put her in her mid 40s tops.

| Renee Zellweger in an LBD at the Elle Women event: lovely or unrecognizable? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos from last night?s 21st annual Elle Women In Hollywood Awards. There are a ton of photos, so CB, Bedhead and I have split them up, awards-season style. Enjoy! One lady in particular is getting a lot of attention this morning because OMG, what did she do to her face? Renee Zellweger wore a little black dress and a completely new face to the event. We?ve actually been pointing out Zellweger?s ?work? for a year ? she had something done (something with her eyes) last year. I believe the work has ?settled? but she just looks so different. Barely recognizable. Sigh?
Oh, and here?s Renee?s boyfriend (?) Doyle Bramhall. His afro is? something. Wow.
More photos from the event? Liberty Ross in a black and camel-leather gown. I think the leather part looks awful. Sorry, Liberty!
Kaley Cuoco in Paul Ka, with husband Ryan Sweeting. This is the best Kaley has looked since she got that unfortunate pixie cut. She?s finally figured out a way to style it. Cute dress too! I really like that LBD.
Nikki Reed?s dress is too much. Too many ruffles, too blah.
Doutzen Kroes in Calvin Klein ? there were a lot of women wearing CK because CK was one of the sponsors of the event. Doutzen only recently welcomed her second child. She looks fantastic.
Lizzy Caplan in Calvin Klein. Why is she going with such twee styling lately? Ugh!
Kerry Washington in Calvin Klein. Minimalist, pretty, not really noteworthy but fine.
Elizabeth Banks in Michael Kors. Feminine, girly but not twee, at least to me. Possibly because I love her so much.

| Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds in his & hers Gucci at the Angel Ball: sexy? | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos from last night?s Angel Ball 2014 in NYC. The biggest stars of the red carpet? Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. This was their first red carpet as a couple since Blake announced her pregnancy. They wore his-and-hers Gucci for the evening ? Ryan wore a traditional Gucci tuxedo while Blake wore a Gucci Cruise gown, which I?m assuming was made just for her and her growing baby bump. I actually love the way Blake looks here ? the plunging neckline on her gown could have ended up really trashy (and there are some questionable angles, for sure), but overall? she just looks sexy to me. She looks happy and fertile and sexy. Ryan?s mom Tammy came with them too.
Also: over the weekend, Ryan was “joking” about the crazy names they could give their baby – go here to read. I think Blake and Ryan will probably go bland-to-hipster with the baby name. Like, Saffron Violette or Phinneus Asher. The name will be WASPy.
More photos from the same event. Here?s Kris Jenner wearing too much makeup and a sparkly muumuu.
Sofia Vergara in a very strange gown ? she usually goes for this kind of silhouette but not this kind of pattern. I?m not sure what to think.
Paris Hilton looking especially wonk-eyed.
And finally, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. She?s knocked up too, but no one has paid that much attention to her second pregnancy.

| Tyra Banks on feminism: 'My body being thicker on a runway meant something' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
I don’t watch America’s Next Top Model for a reason. Well, there are a few reasons. The big one is that I like to remember Tyra Banks as an enigma. She was one of the fiercest 1990s supermodels and worked runways and editorials like crazy. Somewhere around 2005 (when her first talk show hit the airwaves), I started to realize that Tyra was a little nutty. So taking it back old school is how Tyra survives in my memory.
Well, Tyra has a new talk show coming out next year (god help us). She’s also promoting her new makeup line called TYRA Beauty, so she did an interview with Yahoo. The makeup actually sounds pretty cool because it’s mostly stick-based stuff. The eyeliner is called “Oops” because it includes liner on one end and makeup remover on the other. Handy. In this interview, Tyra put her stamp on the current trend of journos asking women about feminism. Compared to some of the other starlets, Tyra does okay with her answer:
She funded TYRA Beauty: “It was important for me to create a brand that wasn?t a licensing deal, but a true self-funded startup. Something that could be a legacy business, not something that would be hot for a moment and then go away. Everything is saturated today. But I?ve always been about zagging when everyone else is zigging. I hate me-too. So I became obsessed with innovation–with being unique, first, and different.”
No foundation/concealer yet: “On photo shoots, when I was a young model, they didn?t have my color. And I said, ?That?s not going to happen with my project.’” She says she won?t do foundation unless every woman–those with ebony and alabaster skin, and every color in between–can find what they?re looking for. (She notes that if future technology and budgets allow, she?ll make it happen.)
Is she a feminist? “I do consider myself a feminist, yeah. Totally. Even when I was a model with my bra and panties on for a Victoria?s Secret fashion show. Sure, I was stompin?, and I know guys were like, ‘Woo, look at Tyra.’ But I know that my body being thicker on that runway meant something. A lot of the things I did in my modeling career as a woman of color was part of that feminism–of expanding the definition of beauty and making women feel beautiful, no matter what color their skin is.”
She’s a businesswoman/feminist: “Right now, with women in power, and not apologizing for being strong or wanting to make money or to be on top, that?s my message–and that’s all feminism. I just feel like you should be able to have a fierce face at the same time.”
[From Yahoo!]
Was Tyra ever considered “thick”? Compared to the waiflike models like Kate Moss, sure, but Tyra fit right in with the 1990s Victoria’s Secret catalogue ladies. VS models are much thinner these days. Tyra was always one of the standouts during her VS tenure. Now I can’t recognize more than one or two of them by name.
Tyra’s take on feminism is fine. She’s not super serious about it, but Tyra is rarely serious about anything except the importance of “smiling with the eyes.” I kid. Tyra’s message is that you can be sexy and feminist at the same time, and that’s true.

| Ryan Phillippe: 'I?ve made 30-plus films over 20 years; 5 of them are good' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Ryan Phillippe is promoting his directorial debut, Catch Hell. Ryan co-wrote the script with a friend (Joe Gossett) and stars in the main role. Ryan says he “kind of plays himself,” which is to say he plays an actor whose career has hit a lull. Not-Ryan is a character who gets chased by the paparazzi but can’t land a movie. I don’t know how close this is to the truth. Ryan hardly ever gets papped these days. He may simply be good at evading the cameras.
Ryan certainly feels like his acting career isn’t the greatest. He spoke with the LA Times about how he dislikes all of his films — except for five of them, which he does not name. Mystery! Cruel Intentions has to be one of the good ones. The movie was pure cheese but a guilty pleasure for many. People have fond memories of that film. I hope Ryan’s not dissing that movie, especially since he met the mother of his children during filming. I bet Ryan considers Flags of Our Fathers to be one of his good movies since Clint Eastwood directed it. He probably also liked Gosford Park; Crash was emotionally manipulative, but it won Best Picture, right? So he’s gonna be proud of that one. Maybe Lincoln Lawyer?
The turning point in Ryan’s career — 2011: “I did this terrible movie with 50 cent [the heist flick, Setup]. It was just a situation I didn?t want to be in. I was sold a bill of goods and it turned out to be something different, which is often the case in this business.”
Where he is now: “It?s certainly not a lament of mine that I?ve fallen out of favor in Hollywood. I?ve made 30-plus films over 20 years. And in my opinion, five of them are good. So you slave away and you work hard and you want to make something great, and a lot of times you end up disappointed. There are a lot of elements that are beyond your control when you’re an actor for hire. So this is kind of the beginning of my wanting to take a little more control and be a little more involved.”
He’s tiring of acting: “Acting alone doesn?t sustain me the same way it used to. Which I think is completely OK if you?ve done something for 20 years. Trying something else becomes really appealing.”
His first time directing: “I love it bleeding together and being a question of how much is directly

| Taylor Swift: It's 'sexist' to make fun of me for writing blind-item songs | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Taylor Swift is sort of a genius about how she promotes her albums. She?s able to change it up over the years, and she still manages to keep it fresh. I also applaud her for consistently hustling ? she believes in doing the interviews, she believes in making the TV appearances and shilling and asking people to care about her music. I like that about her. Taylor just previewed the third song off of her new 1989 album. This song is called ?Welcome to New York? and obvious song is obvious. I mean, it?s not bad or anything (it?s no ?Hot Child in the City? but whatever), but it?s so obviously about Taylor moving to New York and setting herself up as a nouveau Carrie Bradshaw, only with more music and less sex. Here you go:
Taylor also did a surprisingly good interview with Australia?s 2DayFM. She talks about songwriting and writing about ex-boyfriends and whether it?s ?sexist? that she gets made fun of while Ed Sheeran is also writing about his ex-girlfriends. Taylor is very? I don?t know. She?s grown up a lot in the past few years. She?s more confident, but it?s more than that ? she?s actively participating in making her image more mature. Like, she?s not doing the innocent-little-girl routine anymore. Thank God. Here?s Taylor talking about sexism in how the media treats her blind-item:
?My first album came out when I was 16, so I would write about my life as I saw it, as I felt it, and then what happens is as you get more successful, which you?re lucky if that happens, you have more and more people paying attention to what you?re doing and you?ve been doing it the same way your entire career as a songwriter, but all of a sudden the perspective has changed. They use kind of you writing songs about your life as a way to play detective and for me I have a really strict personal policy that I never name names, so anybody saying that a song is about a specific person is purely speculating? You?re going to have people who are gonna say, ?Oh you know, like she just writes songs about her ex-boyfriends,? and I think, frankly, that?s just a very sexist angle to take. No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says it about Bruno Mars. They?re all writing about their exes, their current girlfriends, their love life and no one raises a red flag there.?
[From Gossip Cop]
To be fair, when Ed Sheeran followed Swifty?s lead and wrote a blind-item song called ?Don?t,? it was as big a deal as Swifty?s blind-item songs. And from what I?ve heard of Bruno Mars? songs, he doesn?t really frame them like blind items. Same with Sam Smith, who goes so far as to make his songs gender neutral so all people can relate to them, gay or straight. Plus, Swifty not only writes songs about specific exes, she also writes songs about girls she hates. So, is it sexist to talk about Swifty?s songs? Eh. Here’s the video of the interview… despite the fact that I’m rolling my eyes at Swifty’s “sexist” argument, I like her whole vibe here. Our Swifty is growing up, you guys.
