Sporting a strapless one-piece blue-with-white-polka-dots getup, the ?Cruel Intentions? chick looked lovely as she sunned herself from beneath a large white hat.
Also along for the ride was Reese?s handsome husband Jim Toth, who handled his daddy duties by taking baby boy Tennessee for a father-son stroll along the shore.
Earlier in the week, Witherspoon seemed to be busy with everything from yoga classes to grocery shopping, so the restful family day was well-deserved.

Seeing to her domestic duties, Britney Spears showed up at Wal-Mart Superstore in Filmore, California yesterday afternoon (July 4).
The ?Baby One More Time? songstress was joined by her boyfriend David Lucado as she strolled inside to pick up some Fourth of July supplies.
As for her new album, Britney took to her Twitter account recently to give her fans an idea of what to expect.
Spears tweeted, "Really excited 2 give u a taste of my new album... can't wait 2 share what I've been working on.Going to be my most personal album ever :)"

Joined by her adorable daughter Harper, the former Spice Girl looked city chic in a black hat, black leather jacket, and black top/trousers with a red, white, and blue belt.
Earlier in the week Victoria and her husband David Beckham both attended a sports day event for parents at their boys? school, and Golden Balls showed up all the other dads.
An eyewitness told press, ?They were like just any other mom and dad. But Becks easily won the race. He beat the other dads by miles. He sprinted to the end in no time at all and left the other less fit dads way behind."

I was going to make a big deal about LeAnn Rimes spending the Independence Day holiday on Twitter, but really, what else is new? She almost always spends her holidays tweeting out ?happy Bonus Family? photos and trying to prove to everyone that her life is so amaze-balls. Which just goes to prove my golden rule: if someone is trying that hard to convince you of something, you know the opposite is true.
Really, though, I think that whenever LeAnn and Eddie have Mason and Jake for any given holiday, LeAnn just goes completely overboard with the ?celebrations? and she aims the photos at Brandi. Especially the photos of Mason and Jake, who LeAnn insists on photographing and posting the photos on Twitter. Apparently, LeAnn let Mason and Jake play on her tour bus (ha! She?s on tour for Spitfire, which flopped terribly), and one of them ?hide in the closet?. LeAnn actually tweeted a photo of the sad-looking kid hiding in the closet, trying to get away from LeAnn. LeAnn posted it with the message, ?Boys will be boys and hide in closets on the tour bus.? For God?s sake. Just leave them alone for two seconds.
I think my favorite photo is the ?Sparklers!? one just because it?s a really bad photo of LeAnn, and usually she makes an effort to only post flattering selfies. If you go to her Twitter, you can also see a bunch of creepy Vine videos of LeAnn and Eddie bowling in some kind of basement dungeon. Blah.

I know that Channing Tatum is huge around here and gets a ton of love for very good reason, and I also realize that many people do not consider themselves to be Jamie Foxx fans due to his particularly controversial brand of stand-up comedy. Yet if I was ever forced to pick one of these guys for a one-night stand, it would totally be Jamie. Dude is fine, and he’s got a great little booty. I was singing Quentin Tarantino’s praises a little more loudly than usual after several nice bum shots near the end of Django Unchained (and I’m not talking about the upside-down scene, for those who have seen the movie). Jamie is used to getting this sort of attention from females, and he’s also used to being a really big deal whenever he goes on a press tour for a new movie.
However, a story in this week’s issue of the Enquirer would have us believe that Jamie was totally jealous to have to give up most of the spotlight to Channing while they toured together for White House Down. Funny story — despite my fascination with Jamie’s fine ass, I paid such little attention to the promotion for this movie that I thought it was a comedy before reading some reviews. Silly me, and silly Jamie for being totally jealous of Channing:
Oscar winner Jamie Foxx is being eclipsed by his “White House Down” co-star Channing Tatum, and sources say he’s not happy!
The two actors have worked nonstop to promote the film, but Foxx has played second fiddle to risin star Tatum, who’s been deluged with questions about his skyrocketing career and new baby girl.
“Fans at the premiere in Washington, D.C., were practically shoving Jamie out of the way to get a picture with Channing,” a source told the Enquirer.
“Jamie isn’t used to that. He’s usually the star of the show everywhere he goes. And the questions that reporters asked Jamie most frequently were, ‘What’s it like to work with Channing?’ or ‘Have you seen Channing’s new baby yet?’ It’s made Jamie feel like chopped liver!”
Foxx, 45, has built a stellar film career, highlighted by his Best Actor Oscar for Ray, the 2004 biopic of the legendary Ray Charles.
But Tatum, 33, is Hollywood’s hottest youg star, scoring three top box-office films in a row with 21 Jump Street, The Vow, and Magic Mike. The former model married his Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan in July 2009, and on May 31 she gave birth to their first child, daughter Everly.
“The baby was conceived while Channing and Jamie were shooting White House Down,” another source noted. “Her birth put a whole new spin on promoting the movie. It all became about Channing being a first-time dad, and it was unfortunate timing in Jamie’s mind.”
To make matters worse, in contrast to Channing, Jamie believes in keeping his private life out of the spotlight, said the source.
“Channing will talk to anyone about anything at any time,” said the source. “Producers love him because that helps sell movies, but actors like Jamie think it’s grandstanding. Still, Jamie says while Channing may be the hunk of the month, he’s the one with an Oscar on his mantle!”

I tend to think that this story is true only because Jamie is used to being such a huge deal, and Channing draws throngs of screaming women that must have drained a lot of the attention that usually is reserved for Jamie. I can see why Jamie would be annoyed if journalists primarily wanted to know about working with his hot male co-star, but I think Jamie should have realized that was part of the deal when he signed onto this film. Mr. Foxx can rest assured that his career has already demonstrated lasting power, and Channing (as nice of a guy as he is) may not be as lucky if his looks ever fade with time.
Don’t worry, Jamie. You’re still the hottest guy of the cast in my book. Now turn around and shake it.

Diane Kruger covers the August issue of Marie Claire, and while the photoshoot it really pretty (Diane is usually a great model), it also feels really derivative, and like something we?ve seen so many times before. In particular, that black & white photo of Diane in the Pier 1 basket-weave chair is something I?ve seen in tons of photoshoots.
I haven?t talked about Diane in a while, which is weird because I really do enjoy her and of course I enjoy Joshua Jackson. Several weeks ago, the tabloids (mainly Life & Style and Us Weekly) ran some stories about Josh and Diane maybe getting engaged ? apparently, Josh was spotted at Neil Lane looking at diamond rings. If it happens, it happens, but Diane has always made it pretty clear that she doesn?t really care if she ever gets married again. But if Joshua got on bended knee with a (reportedly) ?$80,000 3.5-carat emerald-cut platinum engagement ring,? wouldn?t you say yes? Anyway, in the Marie Claire interview, Diane talks about Josh, of course, and she also discusses how she really believes in therapy:
They’ve been together for seven years and appear to be more in love than ever. And now Diane Kruger has opened up about the secrets behind her and Joshua Jackson’s happiness, admitting that regular therapy sessions help them stay on track.
The 36-year-old German-born actress said of her romance with Fringe star Joshua: ‘All relationships are hard. It doesn’t matter what job you have, or how famous or miserable or poor you are. It’s about commitment. I’m grateful that I met a person who feels the same about me, but also about our relationship. But therapy helps too.’
And Diane doesn’t just have relationship therapy, but believes regular sessions with a counselor can help you stay on track in every aspect of life.
She said: ‘It’s funny, in Paris people don’t talk about it. But here everyone talks about it, and I really like that about America. Therapy’s not about getting help; it’s facilitating yourself to deal better with life in general.’
Diane, who was recently named the new face of Chanel skincare, also opened up about her 15-year friendship with the brand’s boss Karl Lagerfeld.
She said: ‘I’ll be coming home from the local butcher in my sweatpants, just walking up the street when a gold Hummer will come round the corner. And the tinted window will come down slowly and it’s Karl saying, “Hello, Diane! What’s for dinner?” It’s so surreal, I love it!’
But while Diane has already had a long and lucrative film career with roles in movies such as National Treasure and Inglorious Basterds, as well as national campaigns, a style icon status and happy relationship, the actress said that turning 30 put things into a whole new perspective for her.
She said: ‘Honestly, for a long time I felt that I was so accomplished. “Oh, I speak three languages, I travel the world, I’ve seen so many things.” But when I turned 30 I realised I was an idiot. I didn’t know s**t about anything.’

Wait, Karl Lagerfeld rolls around Paris in a GOLD HUMMER?!!? OMG. That?s the best part of this interview. Do you think Choupette loves taking rides in the gold hummer?! As for Diane? she sounds grounded and cool, like always. I like her personality. She seems ?real?. Or as real as any major actress can sound. I really do hope that Diane and Josh have babies ? if they want to get married too, that?s fine with me, but I hope babies are in their future.

Here are some photos of Katie Price launching her new fragrance, ?Kissable?, in England yesterday. I have to admit? Katie looks so much better with darker hair, right? Is that a wig? If it?s a wig, she should consider keeping it. If it?s her real hair (ha), she should stick with this color. Anyway, Katie wore a ?lips? costume and OMG. I think the problem is that the ?lips? actually look like they?re infected, right? Like, if I saw those lips on an actual person, I would run away lest the infection is airborne. That being said, I do love her. She?s delightfully trashy and she doesn?t pretend to be anything else.
Also, did you know that Kate is pregnant again? This is her fourth pregnancy and she?s on her third husband, a ?part-time stripper? named Kieran Haylor, who posed with her for her last photocall. I?m assuming the baby is Kieran?s, but who can say? I can?t imagine those boots are good for her pregnant body, especially considering that Katie has said in recent interviews that this is the worst she?s ever felt while pregnant. She was on Daybreak a few weeks ago and she said, ?It?s the worst pregnancy I?ve had. I’ve just had lots of problems with being anemic, low platelets, I’m a lot heavier than I was before, but it?s the fourth one so I know what to expect.”
And Katie just gave an interview to Digital Spy where she seemed to be teasing the gossip that she?s expecting twins this time?? She said ?There’s a reason why it’s so big,” referring to her bump and she also made a reference to ?babies? (plural). Katie also said she has names picked out already for a boy and a girl: Tinkerbell and Lorenzo. OH. MY. GAWD. Little Tinkerbell and/or Lorenzo will join Harvey, Junior Savva Andreas Andre and Princess Tiaamii Crystal Esther Andre.

Rachel Bilson covers the August issue of British Cosmopolitan to promote her role in The To Do List, which I’ve never heard of, but it arrives in theaters on July 26 and also stars Johnny Simmons, Bill Hader, and Andy Samberg. It looks like a coming-of-age movie, and Rachel herself is looking much younger than her own 31 years on this cover. That dress is fun and flirty and not nearly as trashy as the clothing Cosmo usually features. The skirt is certainly short, but Rachel can get away with it with legs like that.
The interview isn’t very eventful, but Rachel does talk about how she’s grown out of her self-described “dumb ass” phase. She also discusses how violated she felt when her home was robbed by the teens that became the subject of Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring. Rachel isn’t thrilled about the movie at all, and I can see why she’d be upset (anyone, including myself, who’s been through a break-in will tell you that it results in feelings of incredible violation) even though Sofia’s intention was clearly more of a comment upon society than a way to “glorify” the events that took place:
Her secret career aspirations: “If I could karaoke duet with anyone, it would be Eminem. I secretly want to be a rapper.”
On The Bling Ring: “I thought it was weird to glorify something that was so upsetting for a lot of people. It’s important to detach from material things, but the special, personal things I lost are hard to forget.”
On her “wild phase” & a near-fatal car crash: “It definitely impacted me and how I was living my life. It was a wake-up call…I had no choice but to wake up and get with the program, but I think it set me in the right direction.”
On her subsequent “O.C” years: “I didn’t have any idea how much The O.C. would change my life. I thought I knew everything, but now I look back and think, ‘You were a dumb ass! What was your problem?’”
She’s getting older & wiser? “Thirty is a whole different thing; you can slow down and focus on family. Starting a family one day is definitely something I look forward to. My parents’ divorce didn’t make me cynical about love and marriage. I’ve always been a big romantic, and I look forward to all those things. I’ve been in a relationship [with Hayden Christensen] for six years, and I’m happy…To have a partner is one of the greatest things. I’ve always been a fan of love…I’m an emotional person; I go with my heart before my head every time!”

Certainly, Rachel’s been through a lot in her life, and it sounds like she and Hayden Christensen are in it for the long haul. There were even some rumors a few months ago that the pair had gotten engaged, but I don’t think anything came of that talk. Yet. Give it time.

Amber Heard appears in a photospread in the August issue of Bullett magazine, and I can’t help but wonder if she truly is the future Mrs. Johnny Depp. I don’t pass judgment upon Amber for being with Johnny at all. I think he’s a bit of a fool to think that this hot, young, busty blonde is after much more from him than career elevation, but I don’t blame Amber for getting with a dude who can score her a much nicer trailer than Gary Oldman’s. Johnny’s still fairly hot too, so there’s that as well.
Anyway, Amber got herself a huge, massive pictorial in this issue, and she’s looking extra Scarlett-Johansson-y, isn’t she? Some days, I see the comparison more than others, but this time, I’m totally seeing ScarJo, circa 2008. Am I right?
Amber and Johnny are still going strong together, and they were spotted together in Moscow (you can see a photo here at Us Weekly) about a week ago where Amber was wearing the most gorgeous, wine-colored halter dress. According to a friend of the couple, “They are so in love.” I’ll give it up to Amber on landing a star of Depp’s caliber, and I’ll also acknowledge that she usually dresses much better than the clothes Bullett made her wear in this photoshoot.

Ellen Page sat down with the Guardian to promote The East, but she barely talks about the movie at all, which is slightly amusing, but I’m sure producers weren’t thrilled with that move. The journalist makes note that Obama’s administration had just announced that Plan B (i.e., the morning-after pill) would be available without a prescription immediately prior to the interview, and Ellen was really, really stoked about the announcement. Perhaps that’s why the entire interview ended up shifting gears to a discussion of women’s rights, and Ellen is not at all shy about declaring her feminist colors. This is a rather refreshing stance compared to that of several of today’s “role models,” including Beyonce (who says feminism can be “extreme“) and Katy Perry (who who publicly denounced feminism). Here’s what Ellen had to say about being a female in contemporary society:
“Feminism” is not a dirty word: “I think if you’re not from America you read this stuff and you’re like, ‘What?’ But I don’t know why people are so reluctant to say they’re feminists. Maybe some women just don’t care. But how could it be any more obvious that we still live in a patriarchal world when feminism is a bad word?” she asks in her quiet voice that belies the firm opinions it is often expressing. “Feminism always gets associated with being a radical movement — good. It should be. A lot of what the radical feminists [in the 1970s] were saying, I don’t disagree with it.”
The journo brings up The East: “Why do you want me to do movie promotion stuff when we can talk about radical feminist Shulamith Firestone instead?”
She seeks out tough, independent women characters “Yeah absolutely. Also if I played those other kinds of roles I would just die a slow death. But yes, I think it’s really important, but it can be hard. Only 23% of speaking roles in films today are for women. It feels we’ve gone backwards.” Partly in response to this, she has started writing her own script “which is definitely feminist — definitely. But of course, if you just write a script in which the woman has control over her destiny and love isn’t the main thing in the film, that’s seen as super feminist. It’s hard to get stuff made, especially if it’s about women. Everything’s about in-ter-nat-ion-al bank-a-bility.”
Does sexism exist in Hollywood? “Oh my God, yeah! It’s constant! It’s how you’re treated, it’s how you’re looked at, how you’re expected to look in a photoshoot, it’s how you’re expected to shut up and not have an opinion, it’s how you … If you’re a girl and you don’t fit the very specific vision of what a girl should be, which is always from a man’s perspective, then you’re a little bit at a loss.”
She loves jeans and t-shirts: “There are moments when you are, um, encouraged to dress a certain way. But I can’t. It just erodes my soul,” she says with a nervous laugh. “That’s no criticism to girls who can wear a tiny dress and kill it – that’s awesome. People always attribute being a feminist to hating girls being sexual, and that’s not it at all. I’m just not into it.”
On those gay rumors: Page responded to the gossip in characteristically unabashed style, neither confirming nor denying it but rather mocking it on Saturday Night Live in 2009. (In the skit, Page is accused of being “a primo lesbian”: “Gay, no way!” Page cries, rolling around on the floor with her legs in the air. “Why does everything have a freaking label? Why can’t I just hug a woman with my legs in friendship?”) “It will sound like I’m making this up but I don’t think I even thought about it at the time. I just thought the skit was funny. All of that gossip is silly — people caring about [celebrities' personal lives] — I just don’t get it.”
On environmental activism: “I’ve really gone back and forth and thought: ‘OK, do you become a really intense activist, whether it’s civil disobedience or monkey wrenching or whatever? Or do you live in the infrastructure and navigate it as best as possible?’ I don’t know what the answer is. Right now I am trying to make movies because I love it, and I think telling stories is meaningful. Um, but maybe it’s not and maybe that’s just an excuse for my selfishness.”

Obviously, Ellen is very passionate about feminism, and she’s even recently been talking up the need for feminist pr0n. I also like her attitude about the gay rumors that have plagued her for several years. That particular type of gossip is silly (unlike most other forms of gossip!). Some people actually pointed towards that “SNL” episode as some sort of evidence that Ellen is gay, which is ridiculous because she was totally making fun of her image. Who knows if she’s gay? It doesn’t matter at all.
The journo also makes mention of how Ellen uncomfortably refers to Alexander Skarsgard as her “um, male friend” at one point during the interview. That’s all she says about him though! Too bad.

Gwyneth Paltrow seems to have two new interviews this week, one with Good Housekeeping and one with Cosmo UK. It?s weird to me that Gwyneth is still giving interviews after her total media over-saturation for like three solid months while she promoted her cookbook and Iron Man 3. By the end of those dual publicity tours, I think even the most ardent Goop-supporters were totally over her. But still, Gwyneth doesn?t realize that she loses fans every time she opens her mouth. So let?s just enjoy these new little pearl drops of Goop:
Gwyneth on her best decision to date: ?To marry my husband.?
Best achievement to date: ?My children. I was really lucky to have two healthy children, and I enjoy the process of raising them and watching these amazing human beings start to come out and be themselves.?

There are lots of ?natural? things that are bad for you, so I don?t understand the argument of ?the sun is natural, natural things are always fine!? I mean, I sort of agree with her about the sun too, but I don?t have a family history of skin cancer either, so I’m not going out there, trying to convince people to follow my lead. But you reach a certain age, and you should be wearing sunscreen and you should stop sunbathing too, but I guess Gwyneth thinks those kind of rules are just for peasants. Plus, Goop needs all of the Vitamin D she can get (for real).
