Sitting down for a television interview, the lovely Valerie Bertinelli made an appearance on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show".
In the episode airing on Wednesday (March 9), the "Hot in Cleveland" actress chatted about topics including her husband Tim Vitale's proposal and being over fifty years in age.
Asked how her boyfriend made his proposal, Miss Bertinelli replied, ?It was our first trip ever to Italy and we?re both Italian. I don?t know why it was our first trip. I?m 50 and I?m finally going to Italy.?
Continuing to dig out info, DeGeneres asked for an exact location.
Valerie proceeded to tell, "We were in Florence. It was like the sunset, we had just had dinner and it was a crappy dinner which is really not okay in Italy?I went up to my room and was reading TIME magazine. I wanted to get through a bunch of time?s I brought with me on the trip. Real romantic, aren?t I? So I?m reading the magazine and he?s got this little glint in his eye and he?s lying in the bed next to me. I?m like, ?Stop it. Leave me alone.? Because I?m trying to read. He?s like, ?Really?? And I?m like ?Really. I just want to read this magazine. It was a crappy dinner. We?re in Italy. It should?ve been an amazing dinner.? I was really pissed off. I just wanted to read my magazine. And then I just closed my eyes and he just puts this little box on my chest. It was from Tiffany?s. I said, ?Why did you spend so much money? Why did you go to Tiffany?s? You should?ve gone someplace else with cheaper jewelry.? I don?t know why he married me.?
Closing things out, Bertinelli spoke about being over 50-years-old, saying, ?You know what? For me, it?s always just been a number. I swear to God, if I knew I would feel this good and my life would be this amazing at 50, I would?ve turned 50 a long time ago. I pinch myself that this is my life right now.?

Looking to bring in some extra cash, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are reportedly getting their very own reality TV show.
Nothing has been confirmed, but word on the street is that the ?Northern Lights? co-stars/real life lovers are in negotiations to do a series centered around their upcoming wedding.
An insider for Us magazine tells, ?The deal is nearly done.?
The duo got engaged back in December following their 2009 public affair and plan to wed this spring at a private Montana estate.

Sounding like a bit of a shady deal, Sienna Miller is taking legal action against Rupert Murdoch?s News Group.
The ?Alfie? beauty says she has reason to believe that Murdoch journalists hacked into her personal cell phone to listen to her voicemails.
When asked if she was afraid to sue because it could lead to her never working for 20th Century Fox again, Miller replied, ?I?m not really too concerned about never working for Fox because it?s about standing up for myself in a way that?s more important than anything. If that?s the case, then that?s the case. It means more to me to make a stand against that than it does anything else in my life.?
Her career is by no means hurting either ? Sienna is currently starring in ?Flare Path? in London, England and will be leaving for Mexico in June to begin filming ?Just Like a Woman.?

Never one to let anyone mess with her family, a furious Miley Cyrus confronted an overzealous paparazzo yesterday afternoon (March 8).
The ?Party in the USA? singer marched right up to an antsy photographer and screamed, ?You just rammed my mom with your camera! Don?t you ever do that again. You just almost hurt my mom. Don?t you ever even think about it!?
The ordeal went down in West Hollywood outside of California Chicken Caf when the photog became too aggressive in hopes of getting the perfect shot of the star and ended up bumping into Miley?s mom, Tish.
Miley certainly put the cameraman in his place but, in the end, the stubborn man was unwilling to apologize for banging into Tish.

Honestly, one of my favorite parts of looking through our photo agencies? assorted pics is when a city?s fashion week comes around, and suddenly there are, like, hourly updated photos of various starlets and fashion girls tripping their way into runway shows. This week has been full of photos from Paris Fashion Week - yesterday, there were tons of photos from the Chanel show, but the fashionista ?gets? for Lagerfeld were pretty slim. There was Lily Allen and Kanye and? Emma Roberts (Julia?s niece). And then some European girls that I didn?t know. It was pretty boring. BUT! Today?s Miu Miu show in Paris got much cooler girls! Who would have thought that Miu Miu would be the cooler fashion show for the younger girls?
So, above (and below) we have Mila Kunis being beautiful. I LOVE the coat and I like the little cocktail dress, although I wish I could see it better. It looks a tad too puffy.
Other girls at the Miu Miu show - little Hailee Steinfeld! She?s such a cool little girl. I wonder if this was her first fashion show?
And finally, Jennifer Lawrence. Her style is a bit wonky at this point, but she?s still learning and growing. She might grow into a serious fashionista. All I know is that she?s crazy photogenic.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. Or, if you’re the jewelry store that Lindsay Lohan stole from, squeeze every last drop of publicity you can from it. TMZ reports,
A rep for the Kamofie and Co. jewelry store announced, “We have decided to sell the diamond necklace through auction, and give the proceeds to charity.”
As for the specific charity — the rep states, ?We invite the public to make suggestions as to the most appropriate charity to receive the benefit of the sale?s proceeds.”
According to the rep, the auction will not take place until AFTER the criminal case is resolved “by plea bargain, or trial or some other means.”
The necklace is currently being held as evidence by the L.A. County District Attorney.
I think the money should go back to the Lohan family. They’ve been through so much already. They all really need a change of scenery to give them a fresh start, to draw them together as a family. I suggest that the money be used to buy them one-way tickets to Libya. By way of the Maersk Alabama. They say that adversity can really draw people together.

A rep for the Kamofie and Co. Jewelry announced that the store owners will be auctioning the piece off after the criminal case is resolved.
?We have decided to sell the diamond necklace through auction, and give the proceeds to charity,? the rep said in a statement.
The $2500 necklace is currently being held as evidence by the L.A. County District Attorney, according to TMZ.

The nice people at Stylist just sent us their new, epic Sienna Miller interview. You can read the full thing here. Sienna is currently in London, rehearsing a play and boning anything that moves in the wake of her split with Jude Law. She talks about Jude a little bit in the interview, but mostly it?s just about Sienna and her self-perpetuating drama machine. The interview took place during Sienna?s lunch break during rehearsals, and the interviewer adds these little notes about what Sienna is eating and how easily she gets distracted, like she has AD/HD or something. It?s kind of funny. Here are some of the highlights:
Doing the play After Miss Julie with Jonny Lee Miller: ?In New York the audiences were very vocal, which was quite difficult because my character in that play was quite poisonous as a person. Every night they?d be like, ?Oh, she?s disgusting! What a vile woman,? and it?s hard not to take that personally. At first I was really trying to go for the sympathy vote, but by the end of it, I sort of loved being detestable. I was ashen on the floor, spitting on Jonny. In the end, I found it really liberating.?
Surely as an actress, you simply look at the next role as another character you?re playing? ?Not with me,? Sienna replies, with endearing honesty. ?A lot of what inhibits me is my attachment to what people think. And I think I overcame a hurdle with After Miss Julie because I didn?t need to be loved [by everybody].?
How does she respond to the haters? ?I just don?t read things,? she says simply. ?In our family we have a ?no Google? policy. In fact, I rarely use the internet, I don?t even do social networking.?
On being bad at interviews: ?I?m a big gob,? she says, cringing. ?And I?m terrible at interviews because I?m very honest. But I think it?s difficult being a woman? Men get away with far more in interviews; they can be open and less judged. I suppose I just refuse to conform on that level.?
Has she ever considered being less candid in interviews? ?Not really. I mean, I think I?ve become more aware of the consequences of saying what I think but I still have no reason to pretend to be anything else other than me. Don?t get me wrong, there are times when I?ve read things and gone, ?I?ve just shot myself in the foot by being that open.? Things get manipulated by journalists. But you know, ultimately, I?ve said it.?
On talking about the split with Jude: ?It doesn?t make me nervous, no, because actually everything is quite harmonious in that area of my life,? she says, referring to the split. ?We both confirmed that it was mutual and amicable and we remain great friends. That?s what?s frustrating I suppose, that there?s still this speculation about why and whether it?s me or him [who instigated the split]. It?s nobody?s business.? Then why bother confirming it? ?We both just thought it was time to do that. It happened months ago, long before we released it. There?s just no need [for the press] to go, ?Oh, they must be lying about why they?ve done it.? Believe me, if there was animosity between us, we wouldn?t lie. It?s just very sad and private.?
So does she still feel sad about it? ?I don?t really want to talk about that. I think splitting up with anybody isn?t the most pleasurable experience in life but when it?s the right thing, it?s the right thing. I?m not going to dwell on it.? But people will continue to ask you about it, I say. ?Yes, and I bet if they were doing an interview with [Jude] they wouldn?t. That?s what I get frustrated about. With him, people won?t ask.?
Sienna is asked if she?ll do the GI: Joe sequel: ?No,? she says sheepishly, while confirming that although her co-star Channing Tatum will be returning for the second instalment, she?s ducked out of it. ?I think I compromised myself with that movie,? she says carefully. ?It wasn?t the kind of film I would like to see and it sort of made me evaluate why I?m doing this. I realised that unless it was a film I really loved, I didn?t want to be away working. Because I?m getting to the stage where I want to work to live, not live to work, if you see what I mean. I don?t want to do a film that I wouldn?t even go to see.?
Instead, she plans to focus on smaller, independent films. ?I want to learn more and become cleverer, and work with great directors.? And do another play? ?I?ll do another one in London in the fall, I think. The fall!? she jokes in a flawless American accent. ?Get me!?
On the paparazzi: ?I?d have 10 photographers outside my house and chasing me in cars every day,? she says. When did she decide enough was enough? ?I think it got to the stage where it was either [taking the paparazzi to court] or quitting.? The industry? ?Yes. I mean, it wasn?t worth it, the way my life had become. There was no life. And I understand how irritating that must sound, to say I just couldn?t cope, but I don?t want to adapt to having a driver. I don?t want to be protective of myself to a degree where it?s not normal. Because I am quite a normal person, really.? I tell her that she?s been papped recently with her co-star in Flare Path, Joe Armstrong (in case she hadn?t heard). She nods, ?Oh, the entire company has got this whole joke going. I mean, the amount of people I?m linked with romantically that I?ve never even met is ridiculous.?
Sienna on celebrities moving fast in their relationships: ?Oh, I think it just appears that way. I mean, I got engaged?? She pauses. ?I?ve only been engaged once by the way.? Really? What happened with Jude? ?A second time? No. No, absolutely not true. I?ve been engaged once [to him] and not engaged to anybody else since. The 130,000 ring? Absolutely didn?t exist.?

Eh. I mean, it?s an interesting interview, but I often think that Sienna Miller is stuck in this teenage-girl mentality and lack of self-awareness. Meaning that for Sienna, everything is about her and her drama and she lacks adult perspective on her place in the food chain, you know? She fronts like she?s a major actress, or like she?s still that circa 2005 It Girl who has lots of career possibilities. The truth of the matter is that not many quality people want to work with Sienna and her junk.

It has been years in the making, and last night Avril Lavigne unveiled her new album Goodbye Lullaby in New York City.
The ?I?m With You? songstress was joined by her boyfriend Brody Jenner at the Onitsuka Tiger & RCA Records-hosted event.
One of the collaborators on the album was Max Martin, the legendary Swedish songwriter/producer responsible for hits by Backstreet Boys, NSync, Kelly Clarkson, and Katy Perry.
Of Martin, Avril gushed, "What was really great about working with Max was, I flew out to Sweden for a couple weeks, sat down, played him my record, got to know each other, wrote some songs together, and then I was out. It switched it up for me. It was a new creative space, a new relationship, and we got a lot done. He's very talented."
"He said some really kind things that really meant a lot to me. He worked with so many people and he's an artist, he's very sensitive. We wrote a couple really special songs together."

I?m not expecting crack tears, and I?m not expecting a crack plea either. I honestly think Lohan?s crack legal team is going to push for an honest-to-God trial. No joke. Anyway, you know how Entertainment Tonight and the Associated Press were able to get their hands on the security tape through some sort of financial arrangement with the jewelry store? And you know how Team Crackhead is all in a tizzy because they say the tape VINDICATES the crackhead because it shows her absentmindedly stealing a necklace, because if you steal something when your thoughts are somewhere else, it doesn?t count? Well, there?s a new layer to the crack denial/hilarity. Lindsay Lohan is SUING the jewelry store!!! Because they sold their surveillance tape of her crack heist!!! I can only imagine that this was cooked up by Mother Crackhead after a three day tequila-and-blow bender:
Lindsay Lohan is preparing to sue Kamofie & Company jewelry store — claiming they had no right to cash in from the sale of the infamous surveillance tape … because Lindsay never gave them the right to use her image for profit … TMZ has learned.
Sources connected to the surveillance video tell TMZ … Kamofie sold the rights to distribute the tape to the Associated Press for at least $40k. The AP has since struck a deal with “Entertainment Tonight” in which the show got exclusive rights to air the tape for one week.
We’re told Lohan met with her lawyers today … no word on when she plans to file the lawsuit.
UPDATE: A rep for Kamofie tells us, “We regret to hear there is trepidation by Miss Lohan in connection with the video. ”
The statement continues, “We hope that everyone understands that this is beyond our control, the flood of the requests to see this video were simply too overwhelming. It was truly necessary to put it out.”

I just don?t see how Lindsay has any case, other than a case of the crackhead crazies. The surveillance tape is the rightful property of the jewelry store, and they are taping people who come into their store willingly. And besides that, Lindsay STOLE from them, and if she?s looking for monetary compensation for the sale of her crack thievery, couldn?t that be in violation of whatever Son of Sam laws are in place? Does California have Son of Sam laws? Oh, here?s another question: if this tape vindicates Lindsay, wouldn?t she want everyone to see it? What does it mean if she doesn?t want people to see it?

Yay! More Michelle Rodriguez photos. Okay, yesterday?s photos were from some kind of screening for Battle: Los Angeles, and now these are photos from the premiere. Michelle ditched the sparkly leggings and leather jacket for this too-formal black gown. I would absolutely love this gown minus the shoulder piece, and if Michelle was wearing this at an awards show. That being said, it?s really nice to see her in a proper gown, which she rarely wears. She has a lovely figure, and I personally think she?s really pretty, so I think she can do a girly look and pull it off. I actually love the way the gown is cut in the bodice.
We also have some new interview quotes too! More matriarch stuff - Michelle tells the NYDN, “When us chicks don’t remove our clothes and we don’t play the girlfriend, there are not a lot of roles out there? so I got to play it safe and take the roles I can.” She also trained with Marines, getting up at 5 a.m. to exercise every day: “For two weeks it was like full throttle. That’s where I got the abs for ?Machete’ actually ? those hundred situps, the 50 pushups and the 2-mile run every morning. But the shooting. That stuff I love, I could do that with my hands tied behind my back.”

On the eve of another courtroom hearing, Lindsay Lohan enjoyed her freedom with an afternoon out with sister Ali in Brentwood, CA on Tuesday (March 8).
The alleged jewelry thieving actress first visited a local medical building before grabbing a bite of sushi at Katsuya restaurant.
Due in court tomorrow (March 9) while facing felony grand theft and probation violation charges, LiLo's camp is hoping that the jewelry store owners' decision to sell surveillance tapes of the alleged crime to an entertainment news outlet ends up working in their favor.
Of the situation, Lindsay's mom, Dina, told Radar Online, "Once again, celebrities are faced with the possibilities of their normal daily activity being filmed and sold without their knowledge and their consent, and our family is looking into formal legal action."
Meanwhile, Mrs Lohan's attorney, Stephanie Ovadia, added, ?I?ve been contacted by the family, and we are investigating the situation and looking into the unauthorized use of an image, invasion of privacy, unjust enrichment, and other possible legal avenues.?
Certainly not helping their case in the least, the prosecutors trying to get the "Mean Girls" actress locked up aren't all that happy over the selling of the in-store footage, as DA John Lynch said, "You like to present your evidence in the courtroom."
