Paris Hilton and her most recent boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, got into a physical altercation with a bodyguard at a club last night. Now most people, even celebrities, would call the police, a lawyer, or their PR rep (to make sure they come off looking good). What do Paris and Doug do? They call Radar to tell them all about it. Any website devoted to such thorough documenting of Octomom?s every moment has got to be the logical first stop, right?
Paris Hilton and boyfriend Doug Reinhardt were involved in a brawl with a bodyguard in Miami early Friday. In a RadarOnline.com exclusive, Paris told us that she and boyfriend Doug Reinhardt were attacked at the DJ booth at the recently re-opened posh Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach.
Paris approached the DJ in the nightclub at approximately 3am and requested a song by Madonna or Black Eyed Peas, something she could dance to. The DJ was spinning techno music. Suddenly a bodyguard near the DJ pushed Paris, she told RadarOnline.com. Doug then told the man not to touch his girlfriend.
Reinhardt tells RadarOnline.com, “I came to Paris’ aid,” and all hell broke loose! The bodyguard and Doug then began to brawl. “I can’t believe someone would do this to us, it’s really scary,” Paris told RadarOnline.com. Hotel security intervened and the fight was broken up.
The cops were called to the scene, but no charges were filed. Paris was not injured, but Doug had a bloody lip. Paris and Doug left the club and planned to bolt from Miami as soon as possible.

Honestly, I don?t blame the body guard. If Paris Hilton got within three feet of me, I?d push her too. It?s just a natural reflex that can?t be helped; same as when the doctor hits your knee with that rubber triangle dealie during a checkup. Actually, if I had a rubber triangle dealie I?d hit Paris with that. Double reflex. She should just be glad the guy wasn?t a doctor moonlighting as a bodyguard (as they?re known to do).
What a crap-ass bodyguard though. Isn?t their purpose to avoid physical harm? Shouldn?t that be the last resort? Clearly that?s not the case. I understand the urge to physically attack Paris Hilton, but come on. Obviously we only know Paris and Doug?s side, but it sounds like the guy was clearly out of line. And I should never ? ever - have to be on Paris Hilton?s side. This guy?s a douchebag just for making me do that.
In other Paris news, German newspaper The Bild claims that Doug proposed to her on Tuesday. But Paris wasn?t exactly feeling it. They weren?t clear if the issue was the proposal itself or the ring, but either way her response was that she?d think it over.
Paris Hilton is said to be considering Doug Reinhardt’s marriage proposal - but has so far refused to give a definitive answer. The 28-year-old hotel heiress was reportedly unimpressed when her boyfriend got down on one knee during dinner with her parents Kathy and Rick at The Ivy restaurant in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Doug (23) presented Paris with a Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring but instead of jumping for joy, the socialite snapped the ring box shut and said she would need time to consider his marriage offer. The couple were photographed leaving the eatery together some time later, but Doug seemed devastated and refused to look at the blonde beauty.

The pictures from that night do show Doug looking rather upset, but that could be for any reason. Though he seems to love all the attention he?s getting, so I doubt he?s distraught due to the paparazzi. Paris doesn?t seem the type to say no to a proposal. But Doug also made it clear he wants to have babies with her (gross), and something tells me Paris is the sort who wants a guy that?s unavailable. So maybe she really is passing on this one.
Update: Kathy Hilton just told Us Weekly “I’m not planning any weddings anytime soon for either of them!” Which doesn’t mean Doug didn’t propose, but if he did, Paris didn’t accept.

Rihanna definitely appears to be moving on from Chris Brown. And it seems like she?s not letting that whole tragic debacle mess with her social life. She?s been out on the town a lot lately, and was spotted flirting with Wilmer Valderrama last Wednesday. This past Wednesday she hit up Nobu in New York City, where she flirted with Brody Jenner.
Rihanna is on the rebound after her alleged beating at Chris Brown’s hands. The songstress was spotted at Nobu Wednesday night “smiling and flirting” with a group of guys, including Brody Jenner. “She was there having dinner. Her blond, female security guard was there the whole time,” said our spy. “Every time Rihanna would go to the bathroom, the guard would go with her. Every time someone came to the table, the bodyguard would stand up. She was like a female James Bond.” After the meal, Rihanna joined Jenner’s group. “She looked relaxed and happy, like Chris Brown was totally in the past.”

It?s nice to hear that Rihanna?s having a good time and not letting all the terrible Chris Brown stuff ruin what should be a fun time in her life. I can?t say much for her taste in men. There?s Brown (evil), Wilmer Valderrama (disgusting), Brody Jenner (The Hills skeeze), and Frankie Delgado (Jenner?s supposed BFF ? and they?re both co-producers of Bromance). She certainly could be choosing better. But it?s good to see her out and about, and hopefully she?ll let herself enjoy being single for a while before she gets into another relationship.

The Duchess tells the story of Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, who lived and loved during the late 18th century (and into the 19th century). She was the Princess Diana of her day, probably considering the duchy of Devonshire was one of the most powerful seats in all of England. I rented the film a few weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it. Keira Knightley is very good in it, and Ralph Fiennes is at his smarmy best. The weakest point of the film was the sub-par acting of Dominic Cooper, who played a young politician who has a torrid affair with Georgiana.
There are several sex scenes in the film, most of them between Keira and Dominic. They left me cold, and I doubt I was alone. Keira has just revealed that she couldn?t stop laughing at Dominic as they were filming. Keira claims Dominic had to wear a ?nappy? for the scenes, basically flesh-colored underpants. In my opinion, Dominic is rather Hobbit-esque, so I would probably laugh too.
Keira Knightley has revealed she had fits of giggles while filming steamy scenes for The Duchess.
The gorgeous star, who turned 24 yesterday, said she fell about laughing when her co-star Dominic Cooper, 30, had to act in a nappy.
She revealed: ?During the sex scene I was luckily fully clothed, but he had to wear this skin-coloured nappy.?
?Sex scenes are never the easiest and you?re meant to be very supportive of each other, but I just completely lost it.?

I?ve read that for some American films, the producers or costume people give the actors what amounts to a g-string with a cod piece. Flesh-colored nappies are probably a more secure bet.

She’ll always be known as the first (and arguably best) winner of the hit talent show American Idol, but there was a time when Kelly Clarkson wanted nothing to do with the show that made her famous. But when Kelly wanted to appear on American Idol a few weeks ago to perform her new single, “My Life Would Suck Without You,” it came with a condition: she had to apologize to AI judge Simon Cowell, along with other show executives, for dissing the show in the past.
Kelly Clarkson has come crawling back to Simon Cowell.
The Season 1 American Idol winner performed her new single “My Life Would Suck Without You” on the March 11 show - but Simon and other AI execs wouldn’t approve her appearance until she apologized for slighting them in the past.
“American Idol made Kelly a star, but she’s tried to distance herself from the show,” said a source close to the show. “Kelly has appeared on Idol when she’s needed to promote her music, but has acted embarrassed to be associated with the show when she didn’t need a career boost.
“Because of Kelly’s lack of loyalty, Simon has always felt that Kelly bit the hand that fed her.”
Simon called out the former Texas cocktail waitress for refusing to let Season 5 contestants sing her songs.
“No matter how talented Kelly Clarkson is, she would not be in the position she’s in now without winning this show,” Simon complained in an interview. “It’s a shame.”
Kelly, 26, returned to Idol two seasons after that bitter controversy, but Simon continued to hold a grudge, say sources.
“After her last controversial album, My December, Kelly felt she needed to return to Idol to promote her new album, All I Ever Wanted. Kelly went with hat in hand and apologized for her part in the differences they had,” the source said.

I can see why Kelly Clarkson and other artists would want to appear on the show, as American Idol continues to pull in monster ratings, even in its 7th season. And I can also understand why Idol producers would want to clear the air with Kelly. Like it or not, Idol made her a superstar. I think the show’s producers have learned their lesson since their conflict with Kelly- more recent winners and contestants such as Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry and David Cook have all fallen in line with Idol and if they do have any negative thought about their time on the show, they’ve learned to keep them quiet.

The rumors are true; Madonna is set to adpot another Malawian child. Maybe that brand of kid suits her tastebuds or something. Digital Spy reports,
A four-year-old girl in Malawi named Mercy James has been taken to a luxury lodge to prepare her for adoption by Madonna, it has been claimed.
The pop superstar is expected to visit the country this weekend after she filed adoption papers there, the Daily Mail reports.
A source said: “Mercy has been handed over to Madonna’s people, who are already at the lodge, and is being cared for by a nanny.
“They are waiting for Madonna to arrive so mother and daughter can be united and then Madonna is expected to take Mercy with her when she leaves.”
The child had been living at an orphanage near Blantyre in southern Malawi and was moved to Kumbali Lodge near Lilongwe.
I hear she’s being ceremonially washed in the waters of a natural spring, then dressed in a beautiful silk sarong. Then her hair will being brushed with fragrant oils and artfully arranged, and adorned with orchids. A little tranquilizer will be added to her milk so she won’t struggle when the feast begins. Britney Spears is employing some rowdy roadies on her Circus tour. Say ?rowdy roadies? ten times fast; it?s more fun than you?d think. Especially if it?s early in the morning and you?re slurring and sleepy. Really gets the tongue confused. Anyway, two of Britney?s roadies got in quite the scuffle with police last night. It even resulted in good some old fashioned Tasering on the part of the cops. The pair were in some drunken fight, and when police arrived on the scene, the roadies decided it best to attack them instead of getting arrested. Not surprisingly, things sort of went downhill from there.
Britney Spears is cracking the whip on her Circus tour after two roadies were arrested for a scuffle with police.
Rockey Lee Dickey Jr., 34, and Alex Montes, 23, are free on $100,000 bail following their arrests by Pittsburgh authorities after the pair allegedly went after two officers trying to break up a fight between Dickey and another man. Police used a Taser to nab Dickey, then chased after Montes who allegedly ran off.
“Both [men] had very strong odors of alcohol, slurred speech and bloodshot eyes,” police said in a statement. “[They] will be charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, simple assault, public drunkenness and possible additional charges.”
On her blog, Spears distanced herself from the men, saying they were “two employees of a company contracted to provide equipment for The Circus [tour] and were not employees of the singer.
“The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour does not support or tolerate this type of behavior,” she says.

$100,000 is some serious bail. Brit?s website also says the men were fired. Obviously she has to distance herself from them, but somehow I?m not surprised that anyone associated with Britney Spears knows how to drink it up and get into a fight. Rough and tumble is sort of how she rolls when she?s not being reined in by her dad.
In sort-of-related and very odd Britney news, GOP House Minority Whip Eric Cantor was at her Washington D.C. concert the other night. Apparently he went at the behest of a fundraiser. This resulted in some negative press for Cantor, who had to defend himself. One of his aides gave a priceless quote about it.
One House GOP leadership aide said Cantor went at the request of a fundraiser. “If suffering through a Britney Spears concert will raise one more dime to help Republicans take back the House, then I’m glad Cantor’s willing to do it.”
A House Democratic aide shot back, “Looks like Eric Cantor’s not that innocent.”

Cantor’s office also fired back by claiming that Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu was also in attendance (which her office denied). Apparently going to a Britney Spears concert is just as bad for one’s reputation as taking some sort of illicit bribe in D.C. There were all sorts of accusations, denials, and counter-accusations. Landrieu?s office even provided an accounting of her movements all evening to prove she really wasn?t there. Apparently politicians are not allowed to attend anything more adult than a Hannah Montana concert.

The last part interested me the most. How much time should you give someone to move out without seeming like a jerk? I say two months max - for normal people who don?t have millions of dollars and mansions at the snap of our fingers. I was one of the only people in America who watched Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, that ill-fated NBC drama about the inner-workings and personalities behind a Saturday Night Live-type show. One of the main reasons I watched it (and loved it) was that I adored the two leads - Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford. Those two actors were the best parts of their respective hit shows, Friends and The West Wing, and seeing them together was lovely. But not many people noticed, because the show was brutally cancelled just when it was getting really interesting.
All of this to say I consider Matthew Perry a very underrated actor. He can do slapstick comedy, he can do that dialogue-heavy comedy, and he can do emotionally-resonate drama. It?s a shame he hasn?t found a real niche for himself after Friends. He?s really great on television, and he would be an incredible addition to any show. Matthew actually has some ideas about that - he wants to get cast on his favorite show, Lost, but he thinks people will just see it as ?Chandler Bing… on the island.?
Former Friends star Matthew Perry is desperate to return to TV - and land a role in drama Lost.
The funnyman, who played Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom, admits he?s hooked on the desert island drama and wouldn?t hesitate to take a part if it was offered to him.
He says, “I want to be on that show so bad, but people would be like, ?What?s Chandler doing on the island?? So it isn?t going to happen.?
“But I am truly addicted to the show. I even follow the story lines online.”

I?m addicted too, Matthew! And I do think he should be cast on Lost, even it?s just a temporary thing, like in a flash-back (or flash-forward?) just for one episode. He would be great. And he wouldn?t even have to be on the island.
So, I have a confession. I just used this little Matthew Perry story as an excuse to talk about the last episode of Lost. Spoilers (in case you haven?t seen this week?s episode): What in the hell is happening with Sayid? I didn?t know what to think when he shot the young Ben Linus. Isn?t this going to mess up the… whatjamathingie? Like, the flux capacitor? It?s like a timeline paradox, a rip in the fabric of history. Unless the young Ben didn?t really die. But how would that be? Sayid shot him through the heart.
Also, who else loved Elizabeth Mitchell and Josh Holloway this week? Jim and Juliet really love each other… hopefully the producers realize that the Kate-Jack-Sawyer thing is so tired. And I?m pretty sure that the woman who handcuffed Sayid (which was a sexy scene) is actually working for Ben. Or maybe Widmore? More likely Ben.

It?s seems as if Madonna really will be adopting the little four-year-old Malawian girl Mercy James. It was officially announced and confirmed by Madonna?s people and by people within the Malawi government that Madonna has filed much of the paperwork for another adoption, and will be picking her daughter very soon. Madonna has tried to adopt this girl for the past two years, ever since David Banda?s adoption was finalized.
Now The Daily Mail is reporting that Madonna is flying to Malawi this weekend, and she will stay in-country for a week. Madonna hopes to leave Malawi with Mercy in hand, so to speak. However, there will likely be some controversy, and maybe even some legal problems, as Malawi?s adoption system is rather poorly run, and Madonna tends to appear to be ?hijacking? Malawian babies.
Madonna is finally due to adopt the little girl she has wanted for nearly two years when she flies into Malawi this weekend.
Four-year-old Mercy James was taken to a luxury lodge outside Lilongwe earlier this week, in preparation for being united with the singer, according to sources.
Madonna, 50, is expected to stay in the south-east African country for a week before flying out with Mercy - bar any last-minute hitches.
The girl is being cared for by a nanny at Kumbali Lodge - where Madonna has stayed on her previous visits to the country. She had been living at an orphanage near Blantyre, in the south of Malawi.
Madonna had hoped to keep the fact that the child is already at the lodge a secret until leaving the country.
‘Mercy has been handed over to Madonna’s people, who are already at the lodge, and is being cared for by a nanny,’ says the source. ‘They are waiting for Madonna to arrive so mother and daughter can be united and then Madonna is expected to take Mercy with her when she leaves.’
Madonna is expected to bring three-year-old David Banda - whom she adopted in Malawi in 2006 - with her to meet his new sister. The Lodge has been booked out from March 26 to April 4.
On Monday, the singer is expected to attend a court hearing in Lilongwe to formalise the adoption after having reportedly filed adoption papers. If the judge refuses to rubber stamp the adoption, however, it will be a severe embarrassment to Madonna, now that Mercy is in the care of her staff. The adoption of Mercy is likely to be every bit as controversial as that of David Banda in 2006.
After Madonna’s divorce from Guy Ritchie last November, Malawian adoption official, Penston Kilembe, reportedly said: ‘One fundamental condition in scrutinising adoptions is the connectedness of a family.

?’Mercy has been handed over to Madonna’s people, who are already at the lodge, and is being cared for by a nanny.? That sentence gave me a little shiver. Like Mercy was a Brikin bag that Madonna ordered, and was awaiting delivery at a hotel. Yikes.
Some commenters had issues with my statement yesterday that I don?t really think Madonna is a bad mother. I don?t think she?s mean or intolerant or abusive, and I really do think Madonna loves her children. I think she?ll probably provide David Banda and Mercy James good lives, with more opportunities than they would get anywhere else.
Is that enough? Probably not. Because even with the opportunities Madonna can and will give a needy child, the whole situation still makes me very uncomfortable. Some of it isn?t Madonna?s fault - the Malawi government should treat all prospective adoptive parents the same way, regardless of celebrity. But Madonna shouldn?t treat the adoption of a child like she?s picking up or dropping off a designer gown.

Marisa Miller is in a calendar for the Harley Davidson V-Rod. Usually chicks in biker gear don't do it for me, but for some reason, Marisa actually does. I have a less-than-secret addiction to lists, and this one I particularly liked. It’s the sexiest woman poll, taken by Details magazine. Details is a male fashion magazine that features men on the cover, instead of busty women, and has been described as ‘Vogue for men’ in their 20’s and 30’s.

This is a fabulous list, considering the sexiest woman lists are usually dominated by 20 year olds with big boobies. While all the women are attractive - sexy, even - they aren’t the usual fodder dished up in lad’s mags. Jennifer Aniston is 40 years old, Megan Fox is unconventional in her appearance, Gisele Bundchen is a supermodel but at least she’s got some curves! Frieda Pinto is Indian, and usually these lists are dominated by caucasians.
Just to compare this to last year’s Maxim Hottest Women poll.

On the 2008 Maxim list Jennifer Aniston didn’t make the top 100, neither did Kim Kardashian, Gisele Bundchen or Freida Pinto (who was unknown at the time).
It’s also nice to finally have a story about Jennifer Ansiton that isn’t a ‘poor dumped Jen with no babies’ tale.

So far this season of Dancing with the Stars, Jewel and Nancy O’Dell both had to drop out due to injured knees; Steve Wozniack has suffered from an injured leg; Steve-O has gotten a hematoma in his back; and now Holly Madison has bruised her rib.
Holly was complaining about an injured rib earlier in the week, but the pain worsened and she has been prescribed pain medication. She hopes she’ll be able to practice and compete next week.
She was experiencing pain before performing on this week’s show, and while rehearsing for the tango on Thursday, the pain got significantly worse. She received medical attention and a broken rib was ruled out.
“While she is not suffering from a broken rib, she does continue to feel a great deal of discomfort and was prescribed pain medication,” Madison’s rep tells Usmagazine.com exclusively. “She is committed to the show and her partner, Dmitry and will rest when she can. She fully hopes and, at this time, expects to dance on Monday.”
Madison complained to Us of having bruised ribs this week and hoped that she wouldn’t have to do the elimination round’s dance-off. (Madison did end up competing in the dance-off against Denise Richards, who went home Tuesday.)

The DWTS “curse” has expanded past injuries. Shawn Johnson has a stalker who was convinced they were meant to have a child together. Police found two guns and duct tape in his car - really scary stuff. Luckily they were able to apprehend him before anything happened.
At this rate, by the end of the season there won’t be anyone left to compete. As for Holly, hopefully she’ll be able to practice before the next show without injuring herself further.
