Garner arrived on the east coast last night, just ahead of the NYC premiere of her upcoming film ?Arthur? - which co-stars Russell Brand.
The brunette actress, who is on break from filming ?The Odd Life of Timothy Green,? is also set to make an appearance on ?The Late Show with David Letterman" later today.

Making their way through LAX airport hand-in-hand, LeAnn Rimes and fiance Eddie Cibrian arrived on a flight from Houston earlier today (April 5).
The country superstar, who was making her way back from singing the National Anthem at the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship the previous night, sported a dark pair of sunglasses, a green two-tone cardigan, and flowy light green dress as she and her actor beau hit the exits.
The sighting comes as speculation over the bride-to-be's health grew to new heights at last night's event - as Rimes' super-slender figure took center court.
When controversy first surfaced about her appearance last month, LeAnn instantly went on the defensive by tweeting: ?Maybe it's time for a nude pic so peeps can see how I look nowhere near what these stupid pics are trying to make me look like, LOL #joke," and ?I don't care about the dumb articles. I know how healthy I am. Maybe those people should start taking care of themselves... inside and out.?

Lauren revealed to Us Magazine, ?This series is about a girl who loves everything that fame is, and that's all she's ever really wanted. [Madison] has fun with the press, she enjoys the attention, she welcomes scandal!"
When asked if boyfriend Kyle Howard is into reading her books, Lauren replied with a laugh, "He read my first book, which was very sweet. I told him he didn't have to read the rest. "I don't think he's the target market!"

Aside from her wax unveiling event, Miss Ripa and her man are currently producing a sports documentary about a female basketball player.
No stranger to playing producer, her last sports documentary was nominated for an Emmy, but did not win.
Ripa jokingly explained, "Of course we didn't win, because we don't win Emmys. That's not something we do. But anyway ... I mean, anybody can win, but not everybody can lose in every category."

A new memoir released by Ashley Judd reveals a childhood that is completely out of sync with the childhood her mother, Naomi Judd, has painted. Naomi has been quoted as saying the Judds put the “fun” in dysfunction. Ashley, however, disagrees.
Ashley reveals that although her mother led her father, Michael Ciminella, on to believe he was the father of Wynonna, it was actually another man, Charlie Jordan, who was the father and upon hearing of the pregnancy he wanted nothing to do with it.
The 42-year-old Kentucky native said that “there was always marijuana inside the house” and that her dad “was prone to taking hallucinogenics with friends on Saturday nights. When she was a toddler, her parent’s marriage dissolved, and Naomi had a new man move in with them who Ashley describes as an “abusive full-blown heroin addict with a criminal record.”
“I was taught to believe that our lifestyle was normal and never to question it or complain, even when I was left alone for hours, sometimes days at a time, or when I was passed without warning to yet another relative,” Ashley wrote. “I loved my mother, but at the same time I dreaded the mayhem and uncertainty that followed her everywhere…I often felt like an outsider observing my mom’s life as she followed her own dreams.”
Ashley adds that she was sexually abused during as a kid. An event which sent her into a deep depression.
“An old man everyone knew beckoned me into a dark, empty corner of the business and offered me a quarter for the pinball machine at the pizza place if I’d sit on his lap,” Ashley said.
“He opened his arms, I climbed up, and I was shocked when he suddenly cinched his arms around me, squeezing me and smothering my mouth with his, jabbing his tongue deep into my mouth.”
25 cents? Not to sound like a jerk, but that’s a little cheap, don’t you think? I wouldn’t get up on an old man’s lap for less than a dollar. A guy’s got to have standards.

Yesterday, I read that Brad Pitt had taken the older kids to see that movie, Hop, where the Easter Bunny is pooping jelly beans. It sounded like a fun outing, especially for a dad (temporarily) on his own with the kids. But Brad the Dad gets even cooler than jelly-bean-poop movies! Brad the Dad took the kids to an Easter egg hunt too. And it was for charity! Apparently, the kids were all very well-behaved in public:
Easter came early for the Jolie-Pitts! Brad Pitt took Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, and Shiloh, 4, to a screening of Russell Brand’s new animated film Hop on Sunday. The family- minus Angelina Jolie and 2-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox- also indulged in some sugary treats and hunted for Easter eggs.
“The kids participated in the hunt and everyone looked like they were having a great time,” a fellow guest told the L.A. Times. “They stayed for pretty much the whole time.”
Another witness told E! Online that Shiloh et all walked away with “chocolate-covered pretzel rods, gummy butterflies, gummy cherries and jelly beans.”
“The kids were so cute, polite and shy,” another source told the website. “Brad had to help them do the ordering of what they wanted in their little goody bags. They also made sure to take home some candy sticks for their siblings who weren’t there.”
Pitt, 47, was overheard quipping, “We always need something in our family, especially sugar!”
The event raised funds for EBMRF, a skin disease affecting children, and hosts included Hop stars James Marsden and Kaley Cuoco. Pitt is on the honorary advisory board for the EBMRF medical research foundation.

For some reason, I don?t think Brad is one of those fathers who seems overwhelmed when Mom is away. He actually seems to enjoy his ?single dad? time with the kids, which is really sweet. Of course, he only took the four older kids - I would imagine even SuperDad would find six kids (including two toddlers) overwhelming.
Also: I wonder what treats Zahara got? Do you think she?s a Peeps kind of Empress?

I can’t help it, I saw these photos of Leonardo DiCaprio on set and immediately started thinking about how hot he looks now. I like his hair all slicked back like that even if he looks like Eddie Munster. I’ve always found the guy attractive and I love the little shade of a goatee all around his chin. DiCaprio does it for me, he’s a real man and he’s a hell of an actor. He’s definitely going to be on Hot Guy Friday this week and while we’re at it do you guys have any other requests? We like to get started with it around Wednesday as that post takes hours. (Kaiser does most of the work!)
I was thinking we’d only featured DiCaprio once or twice on HGF, and that’s accurate but he also made it into our top ten hot guys of 2010. I would suggest you revisit that story if you’re feeling the same kind of early week doldrums that are setting in on my end. There’s definitely a kick to be gained out of staring at hot men, particularly into DiCaprio’s baby blue eyes. He looks like he could hold you down with one arm and take a swig of scotch from a highball glass from the other. He also looks to have lost a little weight recently.
Getting back to reality, DiCaprio was filming a commercial for “Chinese telecommunications company China Mobile” in Paris today. I was going to say that Brad Pitt did commercials for them too, but that was Softbank. These A listers make a lot of bank doing commercials overseas. Kaiser pointed me to this article on E! that says he was paid five million dollars to do this commercial. I will be overjoyed if I make that amount in my lifetime.
DiCaprio is currently filming J. Edgar, where he plays J. Edgar Hoover in a biopic based on the FBI director’s private life. I hope that some dressing in drag is involved. (Kaiser will love that.) He’s also slated to star in a remake of The Great Gatsby. Only the best for DiCaprio, except for these little commercials he makes on the side.

I wonder what Gwyneth really thinks about LHJ?s readers? That they are nice people, obviously, but that they are truly not as special or ladylike or talented as The Goop? Probably. Anyway, my favorite part of this short interview is Gwyneth talking about ?the biggest misconception? about her. Goop deigns to say that the biggest misconception is that she?s ?uptight? and then cries, ?There’s nothing uptight about me! I’ve got this ice-blonde reputation and that’s just not me. I do silly things in public all the time, like hosting Saturday Night Live, or I’ll go out with friends and have a good time. I try to live my life to the fullest even if it means making a fool of myself.? Wow, she really wants to sell this cookbook, doesn?t she?
My cookbook is . . . .A way for me to honor my dad [director Bruce Paltrow, who died in 2002]. I called it My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness because we learned how to cook together. But it’s strange. The other day I was thinking, Why did I write a cookbook? And, Why did I say yes to singing at the Country Music Awards? I’ll look back at a lot of things I’ve done and say, “How did I have the guts to do that?”
When it comes to food . . . . I’m the classic Jewish mother. I’m always making way too much, and I’m preoccupied with whether people have had enough to eat. When someone walks into my house, the first thing I do is make sure they’re fed.
The biggest misconception about me . . . . That I’m uptight. There’s nothing uptight about me! I’ve got this ice-blonde reputation and that’s just not me. I do silly things in public all the time, like hosting Saturday Night Live, or I’ll go out with friends and have a good time. I try to live my life to the fullest even if it means making a fool of myself.
I always avoid . . . . Junk food. But if someone gave me a basket filled with stinky, stinky cheese I’d be very, very happy.
On overeating . . . . There’s the me that will have a salad, a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine, and then there’s the other me that will have four glasses of wine, fried zucchini, pasta, chicken parmigiana and dessert. I try not to do that other version too much. I was at a party having dinner next to Mario Batali and he was like, “You’re the only person I know who eats more than me.”
My life motto . . . Try your hand at whatever you’re passionate about. I’ve taken whatever little bit of talent I was born with and worked it to death.

Ugh. There?s something sad about the way Gwyneth has been hustling lately. I mean, I would understand it if Gwyneth was just trying to get her acting career back on track - that would be one thing, and her attempt would be long overdue. But it seems like Gwyneth is playing an entirely different game. She acts like everybody always thinks so highly of her acting skills, and we were just begging her to reveal more of her interests so we could perhaps share them with her. She wants to be accepted as an actress (although she thinks she?s still an A-list actress, when she?s really not), she wants to be accepted as a world-class cook, a singer, a lifestyle expert, all of it. That?s what I don?t understand: who died and made Gwyneth the new Martha Stewart? And why does she think any of us are interested in her Beyonce/Martha-fication? Does Gwyneth not realize that the overwhelming majority of us don?t care, and that there?s a growing number of us who actively think she?s a massive joke?
And that just makes me sad again. Because in Goop?s mind, she?s the best. She?s nailing all of this, and the peasants are eating it all up. Goop?s view of herself is extremely skewed from reality.

According to FOX News, CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager has hand selected Scott Pelley to take over when Couric flies the coup.
As for Katie, she?s said to be planning a new syndicated talk show, though nothing is official just yet.
When asked about the poor ratings of ?CBS Evening News? she explained, "I believe we were in third place for 13 years before I got here. And I think habits, particularly with an evening news broadcast, move at a glacial pace. And I think that local news stations have something to do with it."

Katie Holmes is in the midst of promoting the miniseries, The Kennedys, where she plays Jackie Kennedy. Yesterday, she did an interview with Ryan Seacrest on the radio, and she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live. When Katie talked to Ryan, she talked about little Suri?s upcoming fifth birthday party:
Mother knows best when it comes to planning the perfect celebration for Suri Cruise’s birthday.
“This is my favorite day of the year, so we’re going to have a little tea party and I like to girl it up,” Katie Holmes told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM morning radio show on Monday.
Then Ryan joked he?s reading the same books as Suri. Kate mentioned, ?Fancy Nancy and Pinkalicious right now. She loves it. They?re great books. They?re fun.?
Suri, who turns 5 on April 18, will have her wishes granted on her special day.
“She wants a piata, and wants her girlfriends to come over [for] some swimming,” Holmes, 32, said. “And we’re going to make a cake together.”
No word on whether or not Suri’s father, Tom Cruise, will take part in the planning process, but it sounds unlikely, considering Holmes says she plans to “girl it up” for the bash.

As we talked about yesterday, Angelina Jolie flew out of LAX on Sunday, reportedly to go to the Middle East on some UNHCR business. Now we know where - Tunisia. Thousands of Libyan refugees have flooded through the Libya-Tunisia border, and are now living in makeshift refugee camps. She also used the trip to focus on some gaps in the international financing to support the refugees - and she announced that the Jolie-Pitt Foundation would be picking up some of the slack, donating Foundation money to help give 177 refugees the right of return, as well as financing a new ambulance for the camps. RAS ADJIR, Tunisia The UN refugee agencys Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie travelled on Tuesday morning to the Tunisian-Libyan border to urge greater international support for people fleeing Libya.
More than 400,000 people have escaped the violence in Libya in the last month, arriving in surrounding countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, Niger, Algeria, Chad and Sudan. Tunisia alone has received more than half of the outflow from Libya and has mobilized an outstanding relief operation.
The outpouring of generosity from the Tunisian people says so much for the future of this country, said UNHCRs Goodwill Ambassador. It is a sign of the openness sweeping across the region.
At the end of February, transit facilities were erected 7 km inside Tunisia to provide temporary shelter. At the same time, UNHCR and the International Organization for Migration began helping migrants home with a humanitarian air evacuation. Today, over 70,000 people have reached home safely with help from UNHCR and IOM, but more continue to arrive. Some 11,000 third country nationals are still in transit.
The international community has done well to reinforce Tunisias remarkable relief effort, said Jolie. But with 2,000 people still crossing each day, we cannot let the funding dry up and need to sustain the momentum.
During the visit, an important contribution is being made by the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to help sustain the humanitarian evacuations being carried out. The Foundation covered the costs for a flight of 177 persons to return to their countries of origin and purchased an ambulance to help support Tunisian efforts on the border to assist the injured arriving from Libya.
We would encourage others, individuals and governments, to continue to support and assist with the needs on the ground, said Jolie.
While migrants make up the majority of these new arrivals, there are also some 2,500 people from war-torn countries who are unable to return home and thus require international protection.
They?re waiting here with little hope, unable to return home and unsure of what?s to come. This constant cycle of displacement must finally come to an end, said Jolie.
In conversations on Tuesday with people who had recently left Libya, UNHCRs Goodwill Ambassador was told of heavy fighting inside the country. She listened to harrowing stories of checkpoints, harassment and assaults. She appealed for measures that would allow the UN and non-governmental organizations to access Libya, and to distribute urgent assistance, including food and medical supplies.
Jolie also heard dramatic accounts of eastern and sub-Saharan Africans being deliberately targeted inside Libya. Many remain in hiding in desperate conditions, unable to move for fear of violence. Jolie called for a humanitarian corridor to facilitate the safe access of these populations to points of refuge.
Without this corridor, thousands of eastern and sub-Saharan Africans are escaping Libya by sea, relying on unseaworthy vessels organized by smugglers. In recent weeks, there have been several landings on the small Italian island of Lampedusa as well as interceptions off the coast of Tunisia. There are also reports of some people not surviving the perilous journey across the Mediterranean.

It sounds like Libya is becoming Europe?s Cuba, right? Refugees making sea journeys on makeshift rafts and boats, trying to get someplace where their lives aren?t in mortal danger. It?s all so? sad. Ugh. Just what the Middle East needs, right? Another overwhelming refugee crisis.

Christina Aguilera is promoting that reality singing show I keep seeing continuous commercials for, The Voice. She did a press conference yesterday where she talked about her “setbacks” in a vague way, saying she’s “gone through a really hard divorce” and “there have been hiccups along the way that unfortunately the whole world gets to witness and judge.” Is that what she calls being so drunk she can’t walk or remember her own address - a “hiccup“? It’s all the press’ fault for “judging” her for forgetting the words to the National Anthem and falling on stage at the Grammys. I get it - she has to acknowledge these things in order to get us to move on and focus on her new gig, only she isn’t really acknowledging that she screwed up royally and is talking around it and acting above it all.
On her setbacks
?I think it?s the perfect time in my life [to do this show] because in light of the past year, there?s been obvious setbacks. I?ve gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish. It?s a life-uprooting time and there have been hiccups along the way that unfortunately the whole world gets to witness and judge.
?I can laugh about my own hiccups and my own experiences in life because I?m getting through it. But I get to share these experiences with these people and I get to say not every performance day is going to be a great day. Sometimes you could be having the worst day of your life and you have to get up on that stage and you have to give to your fans in a way that they would never know the difference. You have to lose yourself in that moment and you have to be so involved. Take yourself out of your own headspace or use whatever you?re going through and put it into the passion of your song.?
Mistakes are a part of life.
?If you make a mistake, you know what? You?re human and you?re going to catch flack for it and that?s just the way it is. The best thing at the end of the day is that you can prove to not only everyone else, but most importantly yourself, that you?re strong enough to get back up on that stage and be fearless enough to try again and know within yourself that it will be better.?
She?s ready to open up about the past year.
?I think that?s the most important thing for me to do is to talk about my hiccups and the ups and downs in my career, especially in light of the past year. There have been things that have happened on stage that any performer can absolutely relate to and I?m so happy that I get to share these moments with them in such an intimate environment. I?m actually revealing a lot about myself during this show and a side of myself that I think a lot of people have never seen before, that only my closest friends see when the cameras go off. I just wanted to approach this show very openly. I?m human, too, and people make mistakes and go through things in life and I?m definitely taking that into the show.?
On her recent tweet to Britney Spears, congratulating her on her new album, Femme Fatale.
?I haven?t heard the whole thing in its entirety, I?ve been really hard on work on this show, but I am a huge supporter of her because both of our careers started off together and are still going strong. I think it?s extremely important to be supportive of fellow artists and especially females, who often get pitted against each other and torn apart. As an old friend of mine from the Mickey Mouse club, I think it?s important at this stage in the game to really show my support.?

Well I hope she’s passable on The Voice. The show really does look interesting and those ads must be working because I’ll probably watch the first episode at least. With the way she’s talking about her “setbacks” and blaming everything on the divorce and attention she’s getting I doubt she’ll be sober the whole time, though. I’m also more inclined to believe those stories that she’s rejected attempts by her people to get her into rehab. In Christina’s world, it’s all very normal and understandable to get wasted every night and start pissing away your career because you’re getting divorced.
Kaiser pointed me to this blind item in the NY Post as potentially about XTina: “WHICH singer’s team is desperately trying to cover up the fact that a recent nose job has totally altered the voice?” I checked and I don’t see a big different in Aguilera’s nose, but the fact that they wrote the voice instead of her or his voice, suggests it could be her. Adam Levine also has a messed up little nose but I looked at older pictures of him and it looks the same.

I already had a preview of Reese Witherspoon?s Elle UK cover last week, but now we have some additional images from the cover shoot, as well as some additional quotes. It?s like what CB was talking about yesterday - Reese is shilling her wedding story and photos because she really wants Water for Elephants to be a big hit. She needs a hit, and she needs to keep being one of the top-grossing women in Hollywood. I don?t really know why she feels like she needs this all so badly, but she does, and she?s being really obvious about it. I tend to forgive Reese for the most part, though. I think because I buy her celebrity persona for the most part - she fronts (and actively cultivates) an image of herself that is anal-retentive, un-Hollywood, down-to-earth, and boring-mom. I genuinely think that?s who she is in real life, and I think that this shilling game is kind of new to her. Anyway, here are some additional highlights from Reese?s Elle interview:
Reese Witherspoon is candid about the entertainment industry, from rejection (”They can really kick ya, you know?”) to the pressure to always look perfect.
“I feel for these women,” she says. “The guys get dressed and it?s no big deal, and they?re there because they?ve given a great performance. For every woman it?s, ‘What is she wearing?’ And, ‘But did she wear that to the last awards show?’ And, ‘What will she wear to the next awards show?’ And none of it is about her performance or how hard she worked?and those are the women who did extraordinary work.?
“I?m not going to lie, it?s fun to watch. But at a certain point, I go, ‘Wait, strip it all down.’ These girls?I shouldn?t say girls, these women?worked really hard, really hard, and now it?s reduced to ? ‘She looks frumpy.’ How hard we are on people who are just doing their best. When we start measuring women on their appearance ? We?re just too hard on each other. Women need to be more supportive of each other, stop tearing each other apart. There?s plenty of room for all of us. There?s plenty of men for all of us. There?s plenty of jobs. There?s plenty of room! I really believe it. Another actress out there has a number-one movie? They?re going to make more movies about women. A female writer sells a script? They?re going to look at another script from another woman. The better one woman does, the better all women do.”
Miss Witherspoon is starring in a new film, released at the end of this month, called Water For Elephants, in which she plays glamorous circus star Marlena Rosenbluth alongside Robert Pattinson, who plays circus vet Jacob Jankowski. But she said that her life as an actress is not glamorous, especially when she works hard to juggle her career and motherhood.
She said: ?There?s this fallacy that we can have it all. I get it often, ?Oh, you have it all? - and I don?t. It?s hard. And there are times I take two years off and I don?t work. And there are times I go to work and I feel sick because I can?t see my kids for five days. And it?s real hard to go. Work is important to me. The kids are important to me. My relationship?s important to me. But all three can?t be functioning at 100 per cent at all times.?

Do I really think Reese is the pragmatic feminist that she seems to be selling in this interview? Eh. I think she wants to see more female-dominated stories in Hollywood, and I think she wants more women to work in Hollywood, but I suspect all of this Ra-Ra-Sisterhood stuff is more about Reese in particular wanting to work and Reese in particular wanting better scripts. All of the half-decent romantic comedy scripts are going to other actresses! Wah, feminism!!!

Yesterday, it was really hot here in Virginia. We had a little mini-heat wave, and it ended up being one of the hottest April 4ths on record. For the most part, I stayed in the air conditioning, but when I did venture out, I wore some flimsy grey sweatpants, a light white t-shirt, and my favorite turquoise flip-flops. I was very comfortable, because that was how I believe a person should dress when it?s hot. Thin, cotton fabrics, letting all of your sweaty parts breathe. This outfit that Kim Kardashian is wearing is not something I would suggest for ANYONE, especially when it?s warm (I just checked and Virginia was actually warmer than LA yesterday).
I suppose I get the idea of it - light blouse, longer shorts, and heels to make your legs look longer. The blouse is okay in and of itself. Not great, and actually? it looks pretty ?80s and dated. I?m pretty sure it?s polyester too. Not good when it?s warm. As for the shorts? I believe they are ?Bermudas? correct? Also popular in the 1980s, only to be overtaken in popularity by culottes. Also popular with moms - these are totally mom shorts. And they are totally and completely unflattering on Kim?s body. She?s a size 4, remember. And this is the first time that I?m convinced that I?m actually smaller than Kim, and I?m definitely not a size 4.
Finally, we come to the shoes. Just terrible. Maybe I would accept them with a cute dress, on a red carpet. But not with Bermudas and a poly-blend blouse. Oh, and guess where Kim was coming from? She just had some ?hair? removed. That?s what Fame Pictures says! Brazilian, right? I bet her biscuits are hurting in those Bermudas. Ugh.
Overall, I?d say this outfit makes Kim look about 15 pounds heavier than what she actually is.

Making for quite the special affair, the Kardashian/Jenner family gathered together at the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood, California on Monday evening (April 4).
With Kim Kardashian joining Kourtney, Kylie, Kendall, Bruce and Kris, the gang was on-hand to support Khloe and Lamar Odom during their "Unbreakable" fragrance launch event.
Tweeting about the week beginning plans, Kim wrote, "Pulling up to @KhloeKardashian & @RealLamarOdom fragrancce launch party! #unbreakable"
Prior to the fragrance event, Kim was busy running solo errands around town while being spotted at Madeo Restaurant in Beverly Hills after first visiting Laser Away Tattoo and Hair Removal Experts in Studio City.
