| Bella Hadid in Cavalli & De Grisogono jewels at Cannes: stunning or boring? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Every Cannes Film Festival, it?s always interesting to see who gets selected by Roberto Cavalli to ?model? his designs on the carpet. This year?s model seems to be Bella Hadid! This is Bella at the opening night premiere of Caf Society. Her Cavalli look is? a basic Cavalli gown. Sparkly, a bit lacy, not all that notable sartorially. Her date was Fawaz Gruosi, which means Bella was there to mostly model De Grisogono jewelry. Hey, it?s a real job!
More photos? I actually love Julianne Moore in this Givenchy Couture gown. This would have been stunning on Cate Blanchett too, but it looks pretty great on Julianne.
Victoria Beckham in her own Victoria Beckham design. What?s the thought on wearing high-fashion pants on the red carpet? I?m okay with it, generally speaking, but I just think these are flat-out terrible pants. The buttons down the crotch? The way the leg is cut? This is awful.
Eva Longoria wore an ivory Pamella Roland Fall 2016 gown. I remember when Eva first started promoting her various beauty contracts at Cannes, years ago. She used to go all-out with giant statement-gowns. Nowadays, she?s more subdued. I like this Roland dress, but it does have a matronly vibe and I could very easily see this on someone much older. Helen Mirren would rock the hell out of this gown.
Lily Donaldson wore a great Saint Laurent gown. Before I saw the ID, I thought ?this reminds me so much of Chloe Sevigny?s famous YSL gown at the Oscars.? So, Saint Laurent is just recycling their old hits.

| Kristen Stewart in Chanel at Cannes 'Cafe Society' premiere: tragic or cute' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

It was never going to be a surprise: Kristen Stewart was always going to wear Chanel throughout this year?s Cannes Film Festival. She has a lucrative Chanel contract and Karl Lagerfeld has some weird affection for her ?look.? But did they have to choose one of the weirdest Chanel Resort looks of the season? The blouse is pure ?80s: sheer, with breast pockets and solid cuffs. It looks SO CHEAP. The skirt is interesting, at least, although I will never believe that tea-length is the new full-length. Think about this? what is the skirt was actually a ball gown-type skirt? And what if Kristen paired it with a light black cashmere t-shirt? It would actually be stunning.
Vanessa Paradis also wore Chanel to the Caf Society premiere at Cannes. In some photos, it?s sort of interesting, but then you look closely at the detailing and the material, and this is just made of NOPE. That is some really cheap-looking lace.
Doutzen Kroes is everything even if her Brandon Maxwell gown is slightly boring. You know what would have made it more interesting? If the whole gown was the same rich black velvet of the top. Still, her face is perfect!
Gong Li wore Roberto Cavalli and this makes me SO sad. Gong Li is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful women in the world. She should be wearing Armani or? I don?t know, something other than this faux-hippie mess. This looks like something from Stevie Nicks? closet, only Dolly Parton?s rhinestone guy got a hold of it.
Don?t hate me, but I have no idea what a ?Bianca Balti? is, but she decided to wear this BIG Alberta Ferretti gown. I like the shade of blue, but the tulle tiers are tragic.

| Kirsten Dunst in floral Gucci at Cannes' opening night: fabulous or too flowery' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kirsten Dunst is a member of this year?s Cannes Film Festival jury, and if her first few looks are any indication, we might be in for a historic fashion run from Kiki. After stunning in her custom-made Dior (in butter yellow) at the photocall yesterday, Dunst wore this striking Gucci gown at the opening night premiere of Caf Society. On another woman, I probably would have hated this. I mean, the dress is basically just a series of giant applique flowers. But on Kiki, it really works.
Here?s a good example of how a floral print can go wrong: this is Frederique Bel and she?s wearing Zuhair Murad Resort 2016. I get the concept of the dress, but at the end of the day, the flowers look too harsh and cartoony.
Naomi Watts in Armani Priv, with a bold, multi-gem statement necklace. I really like the lilac shade on Naomi, and while I will defend her right to wear a colorful and rich-looking necklace, does anyone else think the dress would have been better served with a simple white-diamond necklace?
Susan Sarandon in Saint Laurent. The suit is fine, but I HATE the buttoned-up look on men and women. The only reason to button the top button is if you?re wearing a tie.
For those of you obsessed with Li Bingbing, here she is in Stephane Rolland Couture.

Bonus Mads Mikkelsen! He?s on the jury too. He looks hot in this photo.

| Meg Ryan screens her directorial debut at Geena Davis' film festival | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

That ^^ is Meg Ryan looking gorgeous during Paris fashion week. Meg has largely scaled back her movie career since her It Girl status in the 80s and 90s. Further reinventing herself, Meg directed her first film, Ithaca, which just screened at Geena Davis? Bentonville Film Festival last Friday. In addition to directing the film, Meg stars as Mrs. Macauley alongside repeat co-star Tom Hanks, her son Jack Quaid and Sam Shepard.
After starring in nearly 40 movies, Meg Ryan recently added a new title to her rsum: director.
?It?s given me a place at the table,? the 54-year-old said to an audience Friday night at Geena Davis? Bentonville Film Festival after a screening of her directorial debut, Ithaca. ?It was a very hard thing to do and I can?t believe I did it, honestly.?
In the movie based on William Saroyan?s 1943 novel, The Human Comedy, Ryan also stars as Mrs. Macauley, a widowed mother of four children. (Tom Hanks, her Joe Versus the Volcano, Sleepless in Seattle, and You?ve Got Mail costar portrays her husband.) When her oldest son ? played by Ryan?s real-life son, Jack Quaid ? goes off to fight in WWII, leaving behind she and three younger siblings, it?s her 14-year-old son, Homer (Alex Neustaedter), who becomes the man of the family. Going to work as a bicycle telegraph messenger, he ?delivers messages of love, hope, pain and death to the good people of Ithaca, but soon must grapple with a message that will change him forever,? according to the movie?s description.
?I love that what [Homer] wanted was this impossible thing, to keep everyone he loved safe,? she explained, ?[to] keep the Angel of Death away from Ithaca. I thought that was such a dear and very emotional through-line and motivation for a protagonist.?
Ryan also found the story?s value-of-innocence theme applying to her own life. ?When I read it I was getting divorced at the time,? she reveals. ?So [I had] that feeling of, how do you keep your kids safe? The world is harsh, you know? Some lessons are going to be too hard. And I felt like the book had a lot of wisdom in it. I love that often adults are very confounded by these big questions of, why??
[From EW]
With Jack and Tom Hanks involved, it feels like a family affair. Plus, John Mellencamp did all the music for the movie, of which Meg speaks quite glowingly. Considering she says she read and
