Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. have two kids, Charlotte, 13 and Rocky, 10. For the most part, they?ve kept the kids out of the spotlight, choosing to speak about their parenting instead. Both Freddie and Sarah have spoken about the fact that they consider themselves to be stricter parents than most. They really target the kids? phones when it comes to rules, like limiting time and not allowing phones at the table. Sarah recently told Yahoo?s So Mini Ways parenting series that she also restricts the kids on social media and doesn?t allow them to have their own accounts, primarily because once it?s on social media, it?s out there forever. Sarah likened posting online to getting a face tattoo, saying what her kids want now, they?ll regret later.
As a mom of two children, Sarah Michelle Gellar runs a tight ship.
The Do Revenge star, 45, says she and husband Freddie Prinze Jr. dont allow their children, 13-year-old Charlotte and 10-year-old Rocky, to have their own social media accounts.
Our rules are probably stricter than most. Our kids dont have social media, Gellar tells Yahoo Lifes So Mini Ways. Theyre allowed to look sometimes when its our phones. Sometimes, our kids will be like you guys are the strictest household! But I say, yes, but everyone still wants to come here!'
To emphasize the permanence of whats posted on social media, Gellar told her kids that its the equivalent of getting a Paw Patrol tattoo on your face at age 5.
Because at that age, there?s nothing better than Paw Patrol. And now youre 10 and [13], and you still have these tattoos on your face and its not even who you are anymore, explains Gellar, who rose to stardom on All My Children and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Thats a very hard concept for young kids to grasp.
Still, she has no qualms about enforcing the rules with her busy family.
I believe kids need to know what their limitations are, and they actually thrive in that environment. We?re not mean, were not unnecessarily strict, but we have rules, the actress says. And the same way I abide by my code of rules, I expect the same from our children.
[From Yahoo]
Sarah and Freddie?s sense that they?re strict is likely relative to raising kids in Hollywood. Social media is used differently in their circle. Many people, including Sarah and Freddie, use it as a part of the livelihood. So they?re more liberal when it comes to their kids because it?s so prevalent in the home already. In that environment, I?m sure Sarah looks like the strict mom not letting her kid have a TikTok. By contrast, their rules are pretty normal for my kids and their friends, and I?m not considered strict. But everyone follows my rules when they are in my home, just like my kids follows their friends? parents? rules in their homes. But that?s suburbia, not moneyed Hollywood.
I like Sarah?s face tattoo analogy, actually, because of the reasons she cites. And those are the kinds of calls parents need to make for kids before they get free reign of unlimited content. Because a child grows and matures so much in those years. And Sarah and Freddie aren?t isolating their kids from their Hollywood world, just introducing it slowly. Sarah recently brought Charlotte to her Do Revenge premiere, which was incredibly rare to see a Prinze child on the Red Carpet. Charlotte looked adorable in a hot Pink double-breasted suit and tennis shoes, too. So maybe Sarah and Freddie are Hollywood Strict, but they seem to have it figured out for their family.
Side-note: this clip of Sarah getting emotional watching Selma Blair compete on Dancing With the Stars will also make you emotional. *sniff*

I think many of us thought we?d ?beaten? Covid. We did everything by the book, took every precaution and respected all the mandates. When the vaccines and boosters rolled out, we breathed a sigh of (healthy) breath that we?d been spared from that frightening + sign. And then that d*ck omicron showed up and was all, ?Who?s you Daddy?? It seems Omi can get to anyone, like Dr. Fauci, and now Buffy. Sarah Michelle Gellar posted that she, too, caught Covid after successfully avoiding it for two and a half years. And it hasn?t been fun, either. Sarah is vaxxed and boosted, which has kept her out of the hospital, but Omi still kicked her butt.

The latest celebrity to give in to quarantine boredom and mess with their hair is Sarah Michelle Gellar. Fortunately Sarah?s hair attack did not involve a bottle of Schnapps and some clippers, but rather a bottle of Pink dye. Claiming this was her latest attempt to find a way to embarrass her children during lockdown, SMG posted this quick video to show off her new rosy locks:

| Sarah Michelle Gellar on what excites her the most: getting 6 hours of sleep in a row | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?m a fan of magazines asking celebrities to rattle off a number of trivial facts about themselves. I like Vogue?s 73 Questions, especially because you get to see their house as well, but their answers are so rehearsed. Us runs a similar bit, 25 Things You Don?t Know About, and the latest is Sarah Michelle Gellar. This is cool because 1) I love Sarah and 2) she?s pretty lowkey in her personal life so I feel like she?s ?opening up? to us by sharing this information. However, I also learned several things about her I had no idea, like that she taught herself to juggle and she?s a fellow Soapdish fan.
1. I learned how to juggle while working on set because I was bored.
2. Getting six hours of sleep in a row is what excites me most.
3. I binge The Bachelor. It?s a little boring this season. Sorry, Peter [Weber], you seem very nice. I?m sure if there were windmills it?d be much more exciting.
4. I cry every day ? I?m a parent!
5. My kids [Charlotte, 10, and Rocky, 7, with husband Freddie Prinze Jr.] are the most influential people in my life. I love to see the world through their eyes, and [hear] the questions they ask.
6. My go-to dish is anything with kale. My kids are obsessed. I could probably put ants on kale and they?d be like, ?This is the best.?
7. My daughter?s playing volleyball, so I took a lesson with her. I?m actually pretty good. It hurts though. Take your rings off!
8. My first job was a commercial for Burger King.
9. The biggest misconception about me is that I?ve died twice.
10. My two go-to movies to watch on airplanes are Sixteen Candles and Soapdish.
11. I?d describe myself as empathetic and kind.
12. My biggest pet peeve is grammar [misuse] and when people say ?so fun? or ?anyways? ? to me, that?s like nails on a chalkboard.
13. I can?t go to sleep with makeup on my face.
14. I wish I could play the piano.
15. My first car was a green Chrysler LeBaron convertible. I was taught you never get a car till the second season of a show. When we got the back order on the second season [of Buffy], I got rid of the car.
16. My biggest fear: anything [bad] happening to my kids.
17. [I think it?s weird] when you?re in the bathroom and people shove toilet paper underneath the stall and ask you to sign it.
18. If I weren?t an actress, I?d be Diane Sawyer or Robin Roberts. There are so many people I want to interview.
19. I love London.
20. John Kennedy Jr. was my celebrity crush. Wait, am I supposed to say Freddie?
21. The song I?m singing in the shower is whatever Broadway musical my daughter?s left in my head.
22. I would never jump out of an airplane.
23. I love so many books.
24. My favorite lyric [from the song ?No Contest,? from Chess]: ?You taught me, baby/How the few who win acquire/What their hearts desire/It ain?t practice, it ain?t skill/They?ll help, but not as much as wanting will.? I think if you give up your real passion, all the talent in the world isn?t going to push you that extra mile.
25. I try really hard to get inspired by everyone around me. Whether it?s a business associate, another mom, my daughter ? I think there?s so much to learn when you support other women.
[From Us]
I appreciate what she said about how important her family is to her and how scary it would be if anything happened to her kids, but she?s a spouse and mother, we kind of expect that. I prefer the facts like how she taught herself juggling to combat boredom and took up volleyball later in life. She should take piano lessons; she could check that box AND have a new skill for her CV. As a Buffy fan (thanks to my Celebitches insisting I watch it), ha! to people thinking she?s died twice. I love that Sarah never shies away from her Buffy days. I get that actors want to be known for all their work, but it makes me sad to hear celebrities say the thing that resonates the most with us, the fans, makes them sick.
However, the one area in which Sarah and I are most alike is in bed. No, you smutty smuttersons! I mean sleep. I can?t sleep with any makeup on my face. I convince myself I can feel it and it?ll bug me until I wash it off. But truly, if I got six hours of sleep in a row, I would call those close to me like it was a birth announcement. I wonder if Sarah has trouble sleeping or if she?s too busy to sleep in. She has her baking business, Foodstirs, and now she?s partnering with Cascade for its Do It Every Night Campaign

| Freddie Prinze Jr. explains why his 18-year marriage to Sarah Michelle Gellar works | Added 4 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

One of the quietest and most interesting marriages in Hollywood is the marriage of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. They?ve known each other since 1996. They started dating in 1997/98-ish. They got married in 2002. They have two children, Charlotte and Rocky. We rarely hear any gossip about their marriage or their kids. They keep their sh-t on lockdown, but even that?s done in a lowkey way they?re not making a performance out of how secretive they are, they just don?t fking talk about it. And it?s remarkable that their relationship has lasted 20-plus years IN HOLLYWOOD, the land of the three-month marriage. Anyway, with all that being said, Freddie Prinze Jr. is talking about his marriage and their home life. He chatted with Us Weekly recently. Some highlights:
On the key to a happy marriage: ?There?s no keys. There?s no rules. There?s nothing like that. I don?t believe in false expectation. I just believe in knowing who you are when you start a relationship. And if you don?t, then that relationship probably isn?t going to work.?
They?re private people: ?For Sarah and I, we?re very private people. We try to make each other laugh, and we both kind of knew who we were. Hollywood?s a crazy business ?cause there?s very few locals here. ? And we can pick you out of a crowd. It?s like a lion seeing the weak gazelle. So, when you come out here, and you don?t know who you are, this business will define you and it will put its fingerprints all over you. It wants to do that. It needs to do that. And if you do know who you are, then you can kind of control your own destiny much more easily. The same rule applies in a relationship. If you don?t know who you are when you get in that relationship, odds are the other person is going to have a big hand in defining what kind of person you?re going to be. Or, and worse, if you pretend to be someone else, that?s a lie you?ve got to live forever if you want that relationship to work out forever. So, knowing yourself is sort of the key to doing it.?
His wife doesn?t mind that he?s a gamer: ?I played video games since I was a little boy. Sarah knew I played video games. If she ever gave me a hard time about playing video games, Sarah and I would not be together. Period. There would be no us. We?d just be friends ?cause I?m not giving up something I love because you don?t think it?s cool. And conversely, Sarah likes what she likes. I don?t trash reality television. I don?t trash any. If she digs it, cool. If you love and respect someone, what brings them joy should make you happy, whether you?re involved with it or not. So, let your girls watch what they want to watch. Let your dudes watch what they want to watch. Don?t give them a hard time. And if you find yourself in one of those relationships, maybe it?s time to have a conversation.?
He cooks & cleans most of the time: ?I was born here in California, so it was nice to finally learn the correct way to do things and it?s way easier [to use a dishwasher]. And it?s way less work for me. I cook and clean most of the time. Although, Sarah sometimes will do the cleaning. If I cook, she feels bad for me, takes pity on me. But most of the time I just try to do both just to knock it out and get it out of the way. And it definitely made our lives easier.?
[From Us Weekly]
So, he?s a gamer and he cooks and cleans and he?s presumably a hands-on dad, and that?s how their marriage works, basically. I actually like the basic gist of what he says: don?t get involved with someone if you?re going to try to change them, and go into relationships understanding that everything won?t be perfect all the time and that neither of you are perfect people. Oh, and know thyself. What?s remarkable about that is that again they were SO YOUNG when they met. Knowing yourself at that age is difficult, but they did it.

Earlier this week, as many of us debated whether we should sacrifice three hours of our life to the Emmy broadcast, Sarah Michelle Gellar found a way to have fun with it. Foregoing the traditional bathrobe over yoga pants look ideal for award show watching, Sarah recreated her 1999 red carpet look and posted it to Instagram:

| Sarah Michelle Gellar reveals she had postpartum depression after first baby | Added 7 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I?ve always liked Sarah Michelle Gellar well enough but since I started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer at your insistence (thank you all, btw), I’ve come to see her as part of my squad. I tend to keep my eye out for news on her but I was especially interested when I saw she?d spoken on postpartum depression following the House of Representatives passing the AHCA. On Tuesday, Sarah posted this to her Instagram:
Having kids is wonderful, and life changing, and rarely what you're prepared for. I love my children more than anything in the world. But like a lot of women, I too struggled with postpartum depression after my first baby was born. I got help, and made it through, and every day since has been the best gift I could ever have asked for. To those of you going through this, know that you're not alone and that it really does get better. And if you believe that postpartum depression should be covered by healthcare, please take a moment and go to callmecongress.com today, find your rep's numbers and let them know. #NotAPreExistingCondition
