She?s the featured guest on tonight?s ?Late Show with David Letterman,? and Katie Holmes was spotted arriving at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Thursday (November 10).
The ?Romantics? actress pulled up via chauffeured vehicle while posing for a few pictures before disappearing inside to ready for her sit down with Dave.
Holmes? co-star, Adam Sandler, was Letterman?s guest last night and jokingly told how he and Tom Cruise reached an understanding about Sandler playing Katie?s husband in the upcoming film ?Jack and Jill.?
Adam revealed that he told Cruise, "It's a PG movie, no worries, nothing is going to happen In fact, anything I do with your wife in the movie, you can do with my wife."
Sandler added, "So every morning I'd go to the set and hear 'please do a love scene. Please slowly take your shirt off in that scene and rub her ever so tenderly.'"

Jessica Simpson tells PEOPLE that pregnancy was meant for her. Om nom nom nom. She continues, “I love being pregnant. I have such an incredible connection with myself and with my body that I’ve never had before.” *Opens mouth, pretends to shovel food inside.* Om nom nom nom.
Simpson adds, “Just knowing that you’re creating a life is such a spiritual thing. Everything is growing, but you’re making a life. It’s pretty cool.” And you also get to “eat for two.” Om nom nom nom.
“People always say that pregnant women have a glow,” she says. “And I say it’s because you’re sweating to death. I think they just tell pregnant women they’re glowing to make them feel good about themselves, because everything makes them a little bit emotional.”
And there goes any idealized notions you had about pregnancies. Women don’t glow, they just sweat a lot on account of all that fat pressing against their struggling hearts. Also, she made her fiance Eric Johnson her b*tch. “When I’m tired, I make Eric rub me,” she says. “Eric is very, very supportive. We’re both extremely excited. He’s been to every doctor’s appointment with me. We just love it. We can’t believe we get to do this, and we get to do it together. We’re going to be a rock star family!”

Showing off her chic fall fashion sense, the former "Simple Life" star dressed in a black knit hat, matching sweater, cut off jeans with tights and black suede booties while adorable little Harlow opted for a precious all-black tutu ensemble for practice time.
And while Miss Richie may have just been named "Influencer of the Year" by Accessories Council Excellence Awards, she's rather laid back about this whole style things, telling WWD, ?It?s not that deep for me. It?s whatever I feel comfortable in at that time.?
As for what means most to her when working on her collections, Nicole explained, "To me, success isn?t measured by dollar signs. It?s really about paying attention to feedback and talking to my customer.?

And while Gwyneth always looks picture perfect to us, she recently admitted to not being so skilled in the beauty department. ?Believe it or not, I am terrible at doing my own makeup. I?m decent at doing it for a friend, but when it comes to my own face, I never get it right,? she wrote on her Goop newsletter.
Paltrow later added a step-by-step picture tutorial with the message "I have been wanting a step by step lesson for ages so I asked my London makeup artist, Emma Lovell, to show me how."

Ashton Kutcher can no longer think for himself. After expressing outrage about Joe Paterno’s firing and then being informed as to why he was fired and being made to look like a doofus, Kutcher has decided that he needed to protect his image and has decided to filter his thoughts through his management before they’re posted on Twitter.
Up until today I have posted virtually every one of my tweets on my own, but clearly the platform has become to big to be managed by a single individual. When I started using twitter it was a communication platform that people could say what they are thinking in real time and if their facts where wrong the community would quickly and helpfully reframe an opinion. It was a conversation, a community driven education tool, and opinion center that encouraged healthy debate. It seems that today that twitter has grown into a mass publishing platform, where ones tweets quickly become news that is broadcasted around the world and misinformation becomes volatile fodder for critics. Last night after returning home from work I walked by the television and simply saw a headline that Joe Paterno had been fired. Having no more information than that, I assumed that he had been fired due to poor performance as an aging coach. As a football fan and someone who had watched Joe’s career move from that of legend/innovator to a head coach that fulfilled his duty in the booth, I assumed that the university had let him go due to football

Nicole Kidman?s lips are attacking the world. I swear, the lip injections are getting out of control. What?s worse is, like Botox, lip injections are something you have to maintain, correct? Like you have to go in once a month and get your lips re-inflated. So Nicole Kidman makes a conscious choice, month after month after month to not only have a forehead that resembled marble, but to get THAT done to her lips. Rough.

For whatever reason, Chloe Sevigny has always been considered to be some sort of “it girl” for weird, hipster alternative culture and fashion. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because she’s seemingly fearless while attending events like this year’s CFDA fashion awards (as shown above) in really ugly dresses or indulging in belly-bearing Rodarte. Really though, when I think of Chloe these days, I am instantly reminded of Kaiser’s words while covering last fall’s MoCA event: “Chloe Sevigny was there. Of course. And she looked like a total a?hole. Jesus, Chloe.” That sounds about right for most of Chloe’s outfits.
Of course, someone in power has decided that Chloe was fit to design her own fashion line. In the spirit of promotion, Chloe sat down with Bullett Media to discuss her clothing passions and also gave them a sneak peek at her line. Here are a few glimpses — the line is obviously geared towards a younger crowd, and a few of the staged shots are, um, slightly disturbing with far too much of a “Lolita” vibe going on:
Here are a few excerpts from the accompanying interview, in which Chloe reveals that she’d rather have Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi wear her clothing than boring old Nicky Hilton. Chloe also pays lip service to The Situation being asked by Abercrombie & Fitch to not wear their clothing. Chloe also sort of disses the “Jersey Shore” guys, which doesn’t make much sense because she was spotted earlier this year hanging with DJ Pauly D. Maybe there’s some bad blood of the one-night-stand variety there? Who knows. Onto Chloe and her weird-ass fashion talk:
On Always Being An Outsider: I grew up in a really wealthy community and even the young girls would flaunt their wealth and ostracize girls who didn?t come from money. There was this one girl in particular who was the queen bee at school, and she would have the other girls tie her shoes. Me and a few other girls would go up against her. My parents were a little bit like outsiders, so I became friends with outsiders too: the daughters or sons of alcoholics and kids from divorced families, which then bred rebellion. From a very young age, I knew that I wouldn?t run with the preppy pack. I knew that there was something different in store for me.
On Her Ultimate Clothing Wish: I’ve always fantasized about finding a ’70s Yves Saint Laurent jumpsuit or a big, comfy dress, and wearing it for the rest of my days.
On Her Guilty Pleasure: God, I don’t really have one. I see all the movies, but I don’t think that’s really a guilty pleasure-that’s just supporting my industry. I was a huge American Idol fanatic for a while when I had a TV. I love reality TV.
On Jersey Shore: I think it’s really depressing that people are propping these people up as celebrities. The way they behave is embarrassing, and I think it?s kind of diminishing our culture. Most reality TV people behave like pigs, and it?s unfortunate that they get put on pedestals for doing so.
On How She Prefers Snooki Over Nicky Hilton: I read somewhere that Abercrombie & Fitch offered to pay The Situation not to wear their clothes-but who am I to say who should be wearing mine? I do remember someone saying that…what’s Paris Hilton’s sister called? Isn’t it Nicky or something? Anyway, she apparently talked to someone about my first collection, and was like, ‘I don’t get it.’ I was like, Good! I’m glad she doesn’t get it. It’s not for her. Besides, what’s there to get with clothes? So if Snooki wants to wear my clothes, go for it. I think she’d look a lot better in them. She’s probably just so used to certain things, you know. I have to admit, I do find that JWoWW sexy in a really weird way. It’s like that sexy, dirty kind of girl?not dirty, but like a hot mess. We’ve all gotten too drunk and acted crazy at parties, but I don’t maintain that and I?m kind of fascinated by those girls who do.
Why She Created A Fashion Line: I’m pretty sure everybody knows that I make it all just so I can wear it!
Who She’d Love To Dress: It would for sure be one of the Fanning girls. I don’t think I’d faint, but I would get excited.

Oddly enough, Terry Richardson wasn’t the photographer on the shoot (instead, it’s James Orlando), which surprised me because Creepy Terry and Chloe are so tight. As to Chloe’s dream of dressing Dakota Fanning, that doesn’t surprise me either, for this shoot exudes an aura that is not unlike that of Dakota’s recently banned suggestive Marc Jacobs ad. And both Fanning sisters just did a mutual shoot with Terry too. So basically, the perviness has come full circle here. Ugh.
Back to the point that (I think) Chloe was trying to make when favoring Snooki over Nicky. Part of this comparison stems from the fact that Nicky dissed Chloe’s clothing line, which presumably sparked the interviewer’s line of questioning. Still, it’s unquestionable that Snooki wearing something would give a designer much more exposure at this point than boring old Nicky Hilton, who basically does nothing. Say what you want about the “Jersey Shore” kids — at least they did a little something to reach their level of trashy fame instead of merely being born into a rich, trashy family.

This according to Jonathan Jaxson, Kim Kardashian’s publicist from 2007 to 2009. He doesn’t have proof or anything but he just assumes so because of how fame hungry he knows the Kardashians are. He also admits to once staging a publicity stunt for Kim. But why is he telling all about a former client? He says Kim never paid him.
“She knew weeks before getting married she didn’t want to do it,” he alleges. “She’s never gotten over [ex Reggie Bush].”
Jaxson, talking on “The Elvis Duran Morning Show,” says that he worked with Kardashian on many a media stunt while she was his client.
“I staged several of the moments that the world has seen of her, such as a ring that we alleged was from Reggie Bush,” Jaxson claimed. “It was December 26, 2007 — I remember the day. She was going to go shopping with her grandmother and her mom and we said, ‘Let’s do something to get more press for you.’ She said, ‘Perfect. Let me go to a ring store and walk out as if Reggie Bush were proposing to me … I have ring I love and adore — it’s seven carats. I’ll keep it in my purse.’”
He says the stunt went off without a hitch. “It was calculated to a T and then it was leaked to a magazine,” he said.
Despite this, Jaxson claims Bush was not in on the publicity stunts, and alleges that when he got wise to Kardashian’s antics, he chose to end their relationship.
Jaxson says he began working with Kardashian the day her sex tape broke, and says he believes that it was not leaked with Kardashian’s knowledge, although he noted that she “wasn’t devastated by any means.” Jaxson furthermore claims to have built Kardashian’s image, alongside her sisters’, and says fame was always her goal. At this point everyone assumes as much. Kim will milk anything for fame. I’m surprised she hasn’t chimed in on this Joe Paterno thing. Maybe a tweet along the lines of “child butt rape is bad. buy my perfume. now at Macy’s!”

At the height of her pregnancy, Mariah Carey looked like a female Fat Albert. Six months later, she’s lost 30 lbs and got back into shape. She’s on the cover of Us Weekly showing off how she did it and describing how much of a struggle it was. She told Us, “It was a huge blessing to be able to have the babies? But I felt trapped in my body because I couldn?t move.”
Yesterday at a press conference to announce Mariah being the new brand ambassador for Jenny Craig, she showed off her now size 6 body.
This gives me hope that after Jessica Simpson pops out that kid she’ll look like she did before she discovered how delicious baby back rib pie is.

OH GOD. Here are some photos of LeAnn Rimes last night at the CMAs. She was wearing Badgley Mischka, a once great label that now just sticks random ruffles everywhere and uses Rumer Willis as their ?face?. So? no, I won?t go there with a rude joke. Let?s just say that LeAnn looked like hell. And it wasn?t just the fashion either! Look at her makeup:
Is she taking style tips from Christina Aguilera? I know I?m a prude about ladies and their makeup (especially considering I rarely wear makeup), but this is a massive ?Makeup Don?t?. Don?t do child-like berry-pink lips for formal red carpets. Don?t do frosted blue-silver eyeshadow, ever. Don?t slather the eye-shadow on so thick it looks like it was applied in layers over the course of an hour. Also: Her hair is a complete mess. Stringy and busted. Those are the best descriptors for her whole look, actually. She looks like a Dairy Queen girl at the prom, no offense to the DQ. At least her bolt-ons are contained.

Most of the time Ashton Kutcher doesn’t know what’s going on so it’s not surprising the guy has no clue why Penn State’s head coach Joe Paterno was fired yesterday. Hint: it was for pretending he didn’t know his assistant coach was raping at-risk boys up the butt in the locker room.
Ashton tweeted in outrage yesterday, “How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.” You know what else was found in poor taste? That tweet according to his millions of followers who had to explain to him what happened. Ashton quickly tweeted an apology.

How does one properly manage a Twitter feed? It’s not a damn rental property. You type words in a little box and hit send. If you could see into Ashton’s head right now, you’d see a little lab mouse running very slowly on a squeaky wheel. He?s relatively prolific in the Twitter realm, so when Ashton Kutcher tweeted a defense of Penn State football coach Joe Paterno in the wake of his sexual abuse scandal, he got bum rushed with negative feedback from followers.
The ?Butterfly Effect? actor tweeted, ?How dare you fire Jo Pa? As a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.? However Ashton apparently didn?t know that Paterno had been canned for a decade-long cover-up of his former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky?s sexual abuse of children.
One of Kutcher?s followers tweeted back, ?With 8 million followers, you MAY want to reserve your opinions until you know the whole story.? Another wrote, ?F*** you. He covered up child rape you sic, geriatric f***.?
Ashton quickly recanted his former tweet, stating, "Heard Joe was fired, fully recant previous tweet! Didn't have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes...This is an insane story, I just heard paterno was fired, getting the rest of the story now... Wow. As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case."

Marc Anthony presented Shakira with a crystal plaque to commemorate her being named the 2011 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year for both her musical and charitable contributions over the course of her career.
Shakira gushed, ?I?ll carry this night with me always. It?s an honor that I am not sure I deserve, but you?ve made me very happy.?
The event featured Anthony as well as Shakira?s father William Mebarak, Venezuelan singer Franco De Vita, Mexican Rocker Alejandra Guzman, and salsa great Gilberto Santa Rosa.

The ?Best Thing I Never Had? singer reportedly received the gift from Rowland, her former Destiny?s Child bandmate, in anticipation of the bundle-of-joy she?s expecting this February with husband Jay-Z.
Rowland famously let the gender secret the couple had been closely guarding slip when talking to reporters at the Cosmopolitan Awards in London earlier this month.
?I have no idea what I?m going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible,? the singer, 30, told the UK?s BANG Showbiz. ?She won?t be spoiled but she will be very well looked-after.?
Well looked-after by both her parents and, evidently, her ?Auntie Kelly,? as Beyonce told Closer magazine Rowland will be known to her child.
Crafted by California-based interior designer Lori Gardner, the baby-sized, footed, porcelain tub is covered in 44,928 imported crystals that Gardner reportedly spends more than two months applying by hand.
While Beyonce was gifted the Pink version, the bling bathtub, weighing in at more than 3,000 pounds, is available in all the Swarovski colors.
Not to be impractical, the bathtub, according to the designer, can also be used for pets or as a beverage chiller for parties. Just don?t expect to see any Cristal champagne chilling in any Baby Bathtub belonging Beyonce and Jay-Z?s baby offspring, of course.

How the f–k do you buy someone else a bathtub? Do you also ?gift? them the installation? That?s why I could never be rich and famous and give extravagant gifts to my rich and famous friends. I get worried about stuff like installation and taxes and whether Swarovski crystals are good for babies. I can only imagine what Beyonce’s BFF Gwyneth Paltrow will get her. Probably a human head covered in diamonds.

I put the link to some of these photos in yesterday?s afternoon links, but as I look more closely at the photos, I really get more and more disturbed. What the hell did Lauren Conrad do to herself? I used to think LC was pretty, in a non-descript, ?the American Kate Middleton? kind of way. Seriously, imagine LC with a dark brunette shade and big, fluffy curls. Duchess Kate, right? They have the same face, although thankfully, LC doesn?t wear raccoon eye makeup. LC does, however, play with Botox. That?s my only explanation for this waxy, puffy look to her once pretty face.
Don?t yell at me, okay? Don?t start in, ?You shouldn?t be saying that, you don?t know, maybe she?s just retaining water? or my favorite, ?She looks the same.? No. Look at how her face used to look one year ago:

Puffy. Waxy. Botoxy. Kardashian-like. She?s 25 years old! There?s no reason for this. Stop the madness, LC. I get that she?s went through a major breakup a few months ago (she split with Kyle Howard because it wasn?t going anywhere), but she?s been out and about, dating up a storm - she had a fling with Derek Hough (meh) and now she?s making out with Chace Crawford. That?s not the best, but she could certainly do worse, and at least she?s out there. Now she just needs to stop with whatever is going on with her face.

I was in a bookstore yesterday, shopping for someone else, and I happened to see the hardback of Jacqueline Kennedy: Historic Conversations, and I made a mental note that I needed to add it to my Christmas list that I give my mom. Also on my list? Adele?s new live CD and LL Bean wool clogs (which I love, and I now want in every color). I give my mother a list still, to this day, even though I am well into adulthood because she?s already going to buy me stuff, so it might as well be the *right* stuff, and she prefers that I give her a list anyway, so she doesn?t just buy me endless pairs of socks.
What?s my point? Even when I?m thinking about what gifts I really, really want, I?m a pretty reasonable person - a nice book, a CD, a pair of shoes. That?s all I really want. If I do want something really expensive, I rationalize my way out of the purchase or I just buy it myself, with my own money. I?ve never owned a pair of $700 shoes. I enjoy looking at pairs of expensive shoes, but I can easily rationalize my way out of purchasing a pair. I always enjoy hearing what celebrities consider ?must haves? though - it usually shows how out-of-touch they are, even when I know they really just mean their recommendations from the heart. Let?s take Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who recommends that women save one dollar every week for seven years just so they can buy a pair of Louboutins one day. But you know that seven years from now, a pair of Louboutins will cost 1,200 Apocalypse Romney Bucks!
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley managed to win the hearts of many, many men when she took the reins from Megan Fox to star in the latest ?Transformers? installment, but she has one little secret that helps her put some extra sexiness in her step. Seven hundred dollar Christian Louboutin heels.
?They make me feel like a woman. I feel they make you look very sexy, the cuts are beautiful, the lines, the colors the embellishments,? Huntington-Whiteley gushed to FOX411?s Pop Tarts column at the shoe designer?s book launch at Barney?s in Beverly Hills last week. ?I think he managed to capture something so special for women, every girl should be lucky enough to have them.?
Yet amid this cash-strapped economy, the British supermodel has some words of wisdom for women pining for a pair ? which retail at around $700.

Since getting a taste for rolling cameras, lights and action in Michael Bay?s hit blockbuster, Huntington-Whiteley has caught the acting bug big time, and has high hopes for more movies in the future.

She means well. She?s trying to convince all of us unwashed masses that this is what we really need - $700 Louboutins, which, granted, lots of ladies do seem to like. I see those nude stilettos on nearly every celebrity lady, so they must be one of the more comfortable and versatile pairs of heels in the high heel universe. I?ll also give Rosie a little bit of credit for not going all Goop on us, patronizing us by saying that not only MUST we buy the shoes, but we just desperately need to (lose some weight and) update our wardrobes with some $1000 blouses. Rosie?s shill was quick and dirty: buy these expensive shoes. The end. Like, ?I am the 1%. You can be like me too if you buy these shoes. Goodbye.? The kicker, of course is that Rosie doesn’t have to pay for Louboutins even though she can afford thousands of pairs - she probably gets all of this stuff for free.
Also, if Rosie actually turns into an in-demand actress, I?ll eat my proverbial hat (I don?t wear a hat, my head?s too big).

Here are some new photos of Mariah Carey at the big Jenny Craig news conference and photo call officially making her the latest face of ?Jenny? (Jenny Craig?s new trademarked name, I guess). Don?t get me wrong, she looks GREAT. She?s lost weight, she got a blow out, and I?m guessing she?s double or triple-Spanx-ing it, and that?s why the dress seems a little baggy in the waist. Plus, she?s sucking it in. Bless her. I love Mariah. Even when she?s doing a press conference for a weight loss program, she?s still going to Spanx it up and suck it in. When she was heavy, she always covered up: “I had a towel on in the tub. I?m not lying, I promise you! You think I would let Nick see me looking rancid like that?”
She didn?t want to know how much weight she gained while pregnant: “I didn?t want to know, because why would I want to feel that bad? I know it was a number that I never want to see again.”
Bones: “I had, like, no bones for a while. It’s important to me to feel my bones!”

Us Weekly claims that after Mariah made the crack about a four-month marriage, there were ?audible gasps? in the auditorium, and that?s why Mariah gave a half-hearted non-apology. I think her point is valid - a lot of people thought Mariah and Nick wouldn?t last (I certainly didn?t think they would), and a lot of people thought they would be divorcing within a year. But they stuck with it, and now they seem so, so strong, right? And maybe it?s because they give each other what they need, and they?re not afraid to be ?real? with each other. Mariah really is a diva who needs constant attention and she?ll totally be a bitch too. And Nick handles her, and they complete each other. Why not hold them up as an example of a marriage that works?
Oh, and here?s that Jenny commercial. Don?t you get it? She?s in a COCOON, people. She?s a butterfly. A newly slender butterfly, ripping her way through the cocoon of water retention.
