Keeping up on her fit physique, Nicole Richie was spotted heading to the gym in Los Angeles, CA on Friday (April 1).
The Winter Kate designer looked to be in good spirits as she walked into the workout facility with a healthy drink in tow.
And seeing as how it is April Fool?s Day, Richie?s pal Kim Kardashian tried to pull a fast one on her with the help of Nicole?s hubby, Joel Madden.
Kim and Joel managed to get onto Nicole's twitter page and wrote things like: "I heart @KimKardashian's boobs" and "Damn. @joelmadden is lookin' fine. mmm mmmm mmmmmmm HUBA. HUBA," but before long Richie caught on and fired back.
"SO FUNNY @JoelMadden & @KimKardashian! But I am a mature, classy, & sophisticated adult, & I don't have time for your "foolish" games!" she re-tweeted.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Ellen Page was spotted at ?The Late Show with David Letterman? last night (March 31).
The ?Inception? star looked snazzy in a black and grey ensemble as she strolled around outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City.
In a recent interview, Ellen confessed that despite Tinseltown?s preoccupation with fashion, she just isn?t that stylish.

I like this shot a lot - Reese?s appeal is as a ?normal? mom and now wife who is somehow beyond the average Hollywood junk. She?s usually styled as such too - big Southern hair, big smile, kind-of Southern, pageanty dresses. I like her when she changes it up - and this is such a sexy shot. Sexy, and clean and minimalist. I feel like such a dork for admitting this out in the open and everything, but I really like that show Who Do You Think You Are? It?s an American version of a show that I believe started in Ireland?? Anyway, Lisa Kudrow executive produces it and she brings some really fascinating people in, and they spend an hour?s show researching their ancestry through public records, databases, old newspapers, whatever (and whoever) they can get their hands on. Earlier this week, I mentioned in passing that I had seen Kim Cattrall?s and it was crazy - her grandfather was a bigamist! But yeah, I feel like a dork. When I?m home on a Friday night (too often), I watch it while folding my laundry. It?s like my thing now.
So tonight?s episode should be a doozy! DAME GWYNETH is the celebrity! Oh, you know it?s going to be posh and brilliant, and you know Gwyneth is descended from, like, the best people ever. There are no peasants in her background! No ?laborers? or ?janitors?. Gwyneth comes from a long line of Important People. According to the previews:
Gwyneth Paltrow has discovered a fascinating family fact while tracing her roots for hit U.S. TV show Who Do You Think You Are? - her great great great grandfather was a beloved Jewish holy man.
The actress tracked her ancestors back to Barbados while taping the show, which airs in America on Friday night (01Apr11) - but the biggest surprise came when she returned to New York and discovered her great great great grandfather was a “master of Kabbalah” - the mystic Jewish offshoot Paltrow studies today.
Documents show he was “a miracle worker” who once saved his community from a raging fire through his faith.
She said, “This is all kinda blowing my mind.”

These are new photos of Kate Bosworth yesterday in LA. You know how we were looking at those new photos of Candice Swanepoel and calling her recent weight loss ?radical? and ?horrifying?. Well, for my money, Candice?s legs and figure looked WAY healthier than Kate Bosworth?s, and The Bos doesn?t even have the excuse of ?I?ve been really busy? or ?It?s hard for me to keep on weight.? The Bos doesn?t do much other than call the paparazzi on herself and start rumors about what job she?s about to get.
Speaking of the latest Bos rumor, according to Deadline and Kate?s publicist, she?s ?reading? for one of the two female parts in the completely unnecessary remake of Total Recall. The thing is being made with Colin Farrell in the lead role (the one originated by Arnold Schwarzenegger). Kate is up for the Sharon Stone role - the bitchy fake-wife. Diane Kruger was rumored to be up for the role too, which made me laugh because why wouldn?t you hire Diane over The Bos? But Diane didn?t want to read for the role. Do you want to see Kate?s bag of bones and smug face act opposite Colin Farrell? Won?t that make you kind of nauseous?
Also, and this is just a side note observation - remember last week, Us Weekly printed a rumor going around that Kate and Alex Skarsgard were on the verge of splitting or something? Well, look who?s clinging! There?s been nothing since then. Kate has attached herself and she?s not letting go.

Here are some photos of Jessica Simpson out on 3/26 and she looks incredible. You can really see the difference in her face in that it looks thinner and more angular. Star Magazine estimates that she’s lost 20 pounds in a couple of months already, and it’s definitely possible. (They have a comparison photo from early January.) We know she’s been working out and dieting, although she’s trying to downplay how important it is to her. Good for her for getting healthy for her wedding, which may or may not happen soon.
Star claims that Jess is doing “up to six 100 minute-sessions” of cardio and strength training and that she’s eating 1,600 calories a day. That sounds too sensible for someone working with Tracy Anderson.
There’s another story about Simpson in this week’s tabloids that cracked me the hell up. The Enquirer reports that she was at the DMV recently and got told off by an employee when she asked for special treatment. That one deserves repeating:
“Jessica didn’t want to sit with the average Joes who were ahead of her. So she went to the front desk [of the DMV in Hollywood] and asked in a low voice if she could have access to a private room while waiting for her number to be called,” an eyewitness divulged…
“The no-nonsense female staffer answered Jessica in a loud, forceful voice, saying, ‘Miss Simpson, we didn’t do that for the governor and we certainly aren’t doing it for you!” the eyewitness revealed.
The 30 year-old former reality star… went back to her seat and the verge of tears and played the diva role to the hilt until her name was called two hours later, the source added.
“Jessica pouted and scowled as she sat with her arms folded and stared straight ahead, kicking her foot,” said the eyewitness. “But hopefully she learned two big lessons - everyone gets treated the same way at the DMV and next time, make an appointment!”

I have a dumb question - can you make appointments at the DMV? You must be able to in California I guess, but I’ve lived in other states on the east coast and you can’t make an appointment at any of the DMVs I’ve known. Of course they were smaller and easier to deal with than the DMVs at bigger cities.
I love how that DMV clerk was all “the governor doesn’t even get special treatment, sit down!” It’s a bitch to go to the DMV but there’s no escaping it. I do dream of a day in my life when I’ll never have to go through airport security again though. That’s ten times worse than the DMV and it lasts a fraction as long.

Here’s a little blurb in In Touch that sounds likely. You may remember that Ashton Kutcher told Men’s Fitness that his motivation for working out was to save his family from the apocalypse. He even had a whole backstory for it and everything, and went on at length about how only the fittest would survive. Then he tried to backtrack and claimed that he was joking and thought the journalist was in on it. He said “I kind of got going on this roll of the apocalypse and I thought she was getting the joke.”
Well it didn’t sound like Ashton was joking at all in that article. He talked about getting his guns out after a power outage and holing up with his family in his house like he was waiting to fend intruders off his land. This latest story adds some more credence to that. He reportedly shelled out $4k for survival gear recently.
Ashton Kutcher recently visited the Surplus Value Center in LA and stocked up on $4,000 worth of survival gear for himself and his family. “He is obsessed with the idea of either an earthquake or a massive uprising,” says an insider. Ashton bought some basic survival packages: emergency blankets, hand-powered radios and flashlights, as well as a lot of emergency water rations and ready-to-eat meals. “The store specializes in anything you might need for basic survival in the event of a natural disaster,” says the insider. “Ashton apparently likes to keep up a good stock of emergency goods.”

You know, I wanted to make fun of Ashton for this but after the big earthquake and tsunami in Japan it just makes sense to have emergency supplies on hand, especially on the West Coast unfortunately. It’s really sad but these are the times we’re living in. It’s not necessarily new, though. We had people stocking up during the cold war and again for Y2K and now it’s that 2012 nonsense. Other than being prepared there’s no reason to focus on it, though. If sh*t happens we’ll either be warned or we won’t and we may as well live our lives in the mean time. Hopefully we’ve had enough recent tragedies and things will calm down for a while. It’s way more dangerous to drive your damn car every day than just about anything else, though. That’s worth remembering before you worry about some remote possibility.

You see, Katherine is a mother-lover. There?s nothing wrong with it, per se. I?m really close to my mom too, and we go shopping together and gossip and go to movies. Katherine has a similar relationship with her mom - only she takes to the next level, and it?s getting kind of creepy. It?s not just that Katherine?s mom Nancy is her BFF - Nancy is also Heigl?s manager and producing partner. And Nancy also lives a few seconds away from Josh and Katherine?s house. And Nancy spends the night at their house all the time. And Nancy won?t ever let her daughter and her husband be alone, EVER.
Katherine Heigl?s meddling mom is wrecking her marriage! Heigl?s husband Josh Kelley has complained that Heigl?s mom Nancy spends so much time at their LA home that it?s ruining their love life, sources say.
?Josh is a patient guy, but he?s fed up playing second fiddle to his mother-in-law,? an insider divulged. ?Nancy lives around the corner from Katherine and Josh in her own place, but she spends so much time at their home that she may as well move in. She often stays overnight and knocks on their door pretty much every day she?s in town.?
Nancy even vacations with the couple, and Josh claims it?s hurting their romantic life, the source said.
?Josh told Katherine that they need more quality time together - without her mother,? says the insider. ?He demanded Katherine spend more time with him and less with Nancy - period. He loves his mother-in-law, but this is a real problem for him and it?s becoming a major issue in their marriage.?
To make matters worse, Nancy is also her daughter?s manager, and has produced two of Heigl?s films.
?Katherine and Nancy aren?t just mom and daughter, or even best friends for that matter. They?re business partners who live and breathe every aspect of each other?s lives.?
The mother and daughter are so close they even got matching haircuts!
?It?s all too much for Josh? he?s become increasingly irritated by Nancy?s influence. Josh feels as if he?s married two women - Katherine and her mom.?

I think it?s probably a particularly touchy subject considering that Katherine and Nancy don?t have even a typically tight mother-daughter relationship/friendship. They?re business partners, and Nancy has a vested interest in Katherine financially. I?ve felt for a long time that Katherine and Nancy need to part ways professionally - Nancy is not helping Katherine?s career, at all. Heigl needs a team of professionals, she needs to be represented by someone who has the balls to tell her to STFU and BE a professional. Nancy is obviously not doing that.
But? I doubt Nancy and Katherine are going to part financially any time soon, so in the meantime, POOR JOSH.

During her interview on the ?Tonight Show,? Kim told Jay Leno that her boyfriend Kris Humphries helped her get over her fear of tall people.
"I was really afraid of [tall guys]. I'm, like, the biggest hypocrite now, 'cause now I feel so tiny and small and so protected. It's like the best feeling in the world to be with a really tall guy."
As for how they met, she explained, "I went to a basketball game. I saw him and I was like, 'Oh my God, this guy running in front of me is so cute.' And my friend was like, 'Oh, I know his friend.' So they kind of set us up on, like, this group dinner and I thought, 'Why not?'"

Of the new gig, Miss Patridge told press, ?It's a reality show about me and my family. Everything that people have wondered about me, they'll now get to see.?

First off, congratulations to Emily Deschanel! She just announced (through her rep) that she?s pregnant and due later this year. The baby-daddy is her husband, David Hornsby, who many know from his role as Rickety Cricket on It?s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. They were married last year and they seem genuinely happy together. I always enjoy Emily because A) She?s not a famewhore, and I get the impression that she lives a very quiet, very private life and she just happens to be on a hit show and B) I love her on Bones, and I love that she loves being on television, and she?s not trying to do the movie star thing. So? this news makes me really happy, and I truly hope she has a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Now, I have to totally geek out on everyone, and people who aren?t Bones fans, you can just move on to another post because none of this will mean anything. Also: I get that people are no longer fans of the show now that David Boreanaz has been outed as a womanizing skeeze, but I?m such a fan of the show, I kind of disregard his personal skeeziness. Okay, when this current season of Bones started, I thought it sucked, big-time, and that the whole ?Booth goes Afghanistan, Bones goes to Wherever? story line was so, so dumb. I toyed with the idea of dropping the series from my must-watch list, but I?m glad I stuck with it, because this season got really, really good around Christmas. I actually liked Hannah (Booth?s journalist girlfriend), I liked her with Booth, and I liked that Hannah and Bones became so friendly and tight. Everything changed for me with that episode where Bones overly identifies with the dead surgeon, and that hot helicopter pilot who was in love with the surgeon. The scene in the car between Bones and Booth where she?s crying and asking him if she missed her chance? yeah, I was crying too. And I loved that Booth shut her down.
And then it got even better! Booth proposing to Hannah, Hannah turning him down, and then all of his sadness and bitterness? I truly didn?t see that situation playing out as it did. And then the last episode where Bones and Booth are stuck in the elevator and they talk about sex and possibly getting it on and Bones showing some self-awareness about her own ?resilience?. I know the writers are playing with us, as they have done for years. But I really enjoyed it anyway, because it felt like Bones is making the effort to develop and change.
So, here are my questions: will the writers put Emily?s pregnancy into the show? If they do, will it be Booth?s baby? If it?s Booth?s baby, won?t they have to get started on the sexual relationship really, really soon? Will they show it? Because I?m still invested in that junk. I want to see those two characters get dirty with each other. For. Real.
Oh, and how frigging long is Angela going to gestate with that tiny little bump?

Kicking off her weekend a bit early, Lindsay Lohan was spotted at the Cinema Society & Coach screening of ?Source Code? in New York City last night (March 31).
The ?Mean Girls? actress showed up at the Crosby Street Hotel looking snazzy in a printed maxi dress teamed with black stockings and black heels.
As for her little incident outside the Motor City Bar on Wednesday, Lindsay insists she wasn?t drunk nor had she been drinking at all.
She explained, ?I was with my brother, sister and friends. I was making a joke. They?re trying to make something out of night. Just because I?m out doesn?t mean I?m drinking.?

Taking advantage of London?s fabulous nightlife, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at the Box Club in SoHo last night (March 31).
The ?Bandslam? babe looked fabulous as she strolled inside, carrying a still camera with which she snapped pics of the English paparazzi before later hopping back into a chauffeured ride alongside her mother, Gina, upon night's end.
In a recent interview, Vanessa confessed that even she has moments when she feels less than glamorous.
"I can have an ugly week. I go through days upon days where I just will not want to put on make-up or do my hair and just be in sweats."

I really, really wish we had these new photos, alas, we do not. Two nights ago, Lindsay Lohan was back in NYC, partying her crack off. Photographers snapped pics of Linnocent falling down (drunk) on the street at 2:30 a.m. You can see the photos here - she looks wasted. And don?t even think about blaming it on her heels.
So, anyway - after a brief sojourn to LA to ?meet with her lawyers? and ?stalk Samantha Ronson,? Linnocent returned to NYC. Mother Crackhead spoke to the NYDN and she claims that Linnocent is looking to make a permanent move to NYC. Oh, God. Look out, New York bitches. Linnocent thinks your dealers are better than the ones in LA.
Lindsay Lohan thinks her future is in the Big Apple - not the big house. The “Mean Girls” actress is looking for a rental in Manhattan while her felony necklace theft case plays out in Los Angeles, her mom told the Daily News.
“She will be in New York a lot more going forward. She’s actively looking for places in the city with her younger brother Michael,” mom Dina Lohan said. “She loves it here. And she has a lot of friends who already have places, so she might sublet.”
The oft-rehabbed starlet is home with her family on Long Island this week, but must return to Los Angeles April 22 for a preliminary hearing in the bling bust. Cops say she stole a $2,500 diamond chain from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store in January. She insists the store loaned her the strand.
Lohan, 24, got good news Tuesday when prosecutors in another county dropped a battery case against her, citing “insufficient evidence.” The investigation stemmed from her alleged scuffle with a Betty Ford staffer in December.
“We always knew Lindsay was innocent. This shows the truth does prevail. We’re really happy we can put this one behind us,” Dina Lohan said.
She said LiLo hopes she can soon “move on” from the necklace case, too.
“We’re taking everything one step at a time. But obviously we’re all behind Lindsay on this. I watched all four hours of the [jewelry store] surveillance tape. They clearly loaned her that necklace.”
She wouldn’t comment on what legal strategy they’ll employ if Lindsay is tossed in jail next month on a probation violation.
The judge could lock her up immediately following the preliminary hearing - even before a jury trial - if she decides the actress more than likely violated probation in her back-to-back 2007 DUIs.
“We’ll have to wait and see. Right now we’re maintaining her innocence,” Dina Lohan said.
In the meantime, she said, Lindsay is working on her sobriety. She “loves” her new talent agency, International Creative Management, and is considering several movie scripts while she helps cast “Growing Defiant,” the Dina-produced movie about heroin-addicted kids starring son Michael, 23.
She said her daughter will continue renting her Venice Beach pad even after she signs a lease in New York.
“We’re all in the entertainment business. We’re all bi-coastal,” she said.

These are some new photos of Blake Lively at CinemaCon on Thursday. I think Blake and Ryan Reynolds were previewing The Green Lantern there, in Las Vegas. I?ve included photos of Ryan below - he got a haircut. I appreciate that he?s changing up his look, but I kind of think it?s too short. But never mind Ryan, we?ve got Blake! Apparently, Blake?s ?legsy? outfit is Dolce & Gabbana. I don?t mind it, honestly. She?s been wearing so much stuff that offends me lately, I?m just happy that I?m not staring at her stiff-looking rack here. I also think Blake is looking a bit healthier in these photos. When I last saw her - about three weeks ago - she was looking a touch too thin. In these photos, she looks better.
I also have something scary to admit - ordinarily, I hate ankle booties. Personally, I can?t pull them off, and even if I could, I?m not sure I would want too. I usually find them so unflattering, but these specific booties on Blake, with the cool little opening on top? well, I kind of want them. I really want them. They?re totally cute. Of course, she?s still too down-market and cheap for Chanel. But if she wanted to sell me some of her magnificent booties, I wouldn?t hate her. Oh, and regarding Chanel: E! News reports that Karl Lagerfeld is going to take Blake as his ?date? to the Met Costume Institute Gala!
UPDATE: I somehow missed that Blake had a “costume change” in the middle of the event! Here she is at the same CinemaCon Event, only now she’s wearing Marchesa. Thoughts?

Spending another day in paradise, Courteney Cox was alongside Josh Hopkins on the beaches of St Barts on Thursday (March 31).
The "Cougar Town" actress appeared happy and, for the most part, carefree as she was joined by daughter CoCo and her TV co-star/rumored romance during the shoreside escapade.
Clearly keeping herself in proper shape, Cox flaunted a stunning bikini body as she sported a skimpy black bikini while being sure never to stray far away from Hopkins as they splashed in the St Barts waves.
During the course of the action-packed day, Courteney and Josh followed up the beach doings by taking CoCo on a shopping session around the Port of Gustavia.
Last month, Cox and Hopkins, 40, were spotted holding hands after the cameras stopped rolling on set. Despite the seemingly obvious coupledom, reps for Cox have insisted she and Josh are not an item and are simply friends.

Stepping out for her new movie, Blake Lively was one of the big attraction arrivals at a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation in Las Vegas on Thursday (March 31).
Held at Caesars Palace, the Serena van der Woodsen actress happened to be boosting interest in her new film "Green Lantern" during CinemaCon - the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners.
Due out June 17th of this year, "Green Lantern" co-stars Ryan Reynolds while finding "a test pilot being granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe."
Meanwhile, the CinemaCon appearance comes after rumors of strife at Chanel over the company's selection of the "Gossip Girl" actress, as a NY Daily News report claimed "'internal grumblings' at the design label's American division since actress Blake Lively was named the official face of Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag line."
Responding to the claims, a Chanel spokesperson said everything with Lively is just peachy, telling, "Blake's spontaneity and fresh youthful image have convinced Chanel that she is the right person to represent the house and this range of bags."
