Three things irrevocably changed the American population during the pandemic. One, over 1.1 million people died, leaving gaping holes in families and communities. Two, people?s lives were ripped apart by long covid and the longterm effects of covid infections, which we still don?t completely understand. We basically have a not-insignificant part of the population still dealing with health issues years after their covid infections. Three, we learned that millions of people living in America are absolute morons who hate and don?t understand science, vaccines and public health. Evangeline Lilly showed her ass during the pandemic and it?s never been the same for her since. In the early days of the pandemic, she arrogantly declared that quarantines are bullsh-t and ?freedom? is more important than any public health measure. Then she went to that bonkers anti-vaxx rally and came out in support of ?bodily sovereignty? against vaccine mandates. She did and said all of that while under contract with Marvel. Well, I guess her contract is up and she understands that she?s done irreversible harm to her career, because Evangeline is quitting the biz.
Evangeline Lilly announced on Instagram that she has stepped away from Hollywood for the foreseeable future and ?might return one day.? Lilly, best known for playing Kate Austen in ABC?s drama series ?Lost,? re-shared a video recorded in 2006 in which she expressed her desire to be a ?retired actress? by the next decade.
?Ten years from now, where would I like to be? I am terrified to admit this to the rest of the acting world but ideally 10 years from now I?d like to be a retired actress and have a family,? Lilly said in the video. ?I?d like to be writing and influencing people?s lives in humanitarian ways.?
In her caption to the video posted June 3, 2024, Lily writes: ?I am so filled with joy and contentment today as I live out my vision. Praise God, I feel so grateful for my blessings. Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can feel scary at times, but stepping into your dharma replaces the fear with fulfillment. I might return to Hollywood one day, but, for now, this is where I belong.?
[From Variety]
Pre-pandemic, Evangeline was known as a granola-hippie type who eschewed the fame machine of Hollywood for the most part. Like, she never really capitalized on all of the buzz she got from Lost, and that genuinely was her choice back then. This current move is not completely her choice though Marvel was not happy that several of their stars were such idiots during the pandemic. Evangeline wasn?t a big enough star for her career to weather her own stupidity. Sidenote: I dont think she really had the talent for career longevity either, but whatever.

The pandemic has been going on for so long, I totally forgot that Evangeline Lilly made a complete ass out of herself just as everyone was going into lockdown. In March 2020, Lilly said that she dropped off her kids at their gymnastics class because everything was ?business as usual? even though most places (especially gyms) were going into lockdown. She also said she was immune compromised and living with her father who had Stage 4 leukemia, and even then, she didn?t feel like she had to do anything different because Covid is just a ?respiratory flu.? She claimed America was about to go under martial law (she wrote ?Marshall law?) and that the government was trying to steal people?s freedoms in an election year. It was truly fking bonkers. Evangeline ended up giving a half-assed apology one week later and promised to social distance.
Well, twenty-two months later, Evangeline posted photos from the anti-vaccine rally in DC over the weekend. That was the rally in which RFJ Jr. was a speaker and he made a horrible comparison between Nazi-occupied Europe, Anne Frank living in an attic and? vaccine mandates. On her Instagram, Evangeline posted dumbfk photos from the rally with this abhorrent statement:
I was in DC this weekend to support bodily sovereignty while Canadian truckers were rallying for their cross-country, peaceful convoy in support of the same thing.
I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of:
-violent attack
-arrest or detention without trial
-loss of employment
-homelessness
-starvation
-loss of education
-alienation from loved ones
-excommunication from society
?under any threat whatsoever.
This is not the way. This is not safe. This is not healthy. This is not love. I understand the world is in fear, but I don?t believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems.
I was pro choice before COVID and I am still pro choice today.

*screams into the void*
Okay, let?s go through this. One, stop fking adopting the language of ?pro-choice? to describe vaccines in a pandemic. This is not abortion. This is not about reproductive rights. This is about ensuring mass inoculations during a pandemic which has killed more than 5.83 million people in the world. Pregnancies are not airborne. You cannot ?catch? an abortion. It?s not about being ?pro-choice.? Two, who the fk is being detained without trial for NOT being vaccinated? NO ONE. No one is saying ?we will starve you if you do not get vaccinated.? Restaurants enforcing a vaccine mandate is not a plot to starve the populace. Grocery stores having mask mandates is not a civil liberties issue. And if you want to work, your employer actually does have the right to enforce a vaccine mandate, dipsh-t. If you?re too stupid to get a vaccine, you don?t have an inherent ?right? to be employed. And I hope unvaccinated dumbasses ARE excommunicated from society. Let?s start with Evangeline Lilly. I hope I never have to see her dumb, dangerous face again.

I?ve always known that Evangeline Lilly is more of a hippie-type. She always let it be known that she?s not into the superficial part of being a celebrity, she?s not into the clothes or awards shows or hair and makeup. She?s not an Instagram influencer. She?s a bit like Shailene Woodley I could easily see Evangeline living in a tree somewhere. But I didn?t expect Evangeline to be the type to completely reject SCIENCE during a global pandemic. My God. Evangeline announced on her social media today that she?s not self-quarantining and she thinks this is all some kind of election-year conspiracy. Lord, woman.
Evangeline Lilly is taking a stand against self-quarantining during the coronavirus pandemic. The ?Ant-Man and the Wasp? star, 40, posted a photo of her ?morning tea? on Instagram and said it was ?business as usual? as she dropped her children off at their activities.
?Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual,? she captioned the photo, which immediately prompted questions from fans about why her kids were still going to gymnastics camp. Responding to her fans? concerns and judgmental comments, Lilly revealed that she?s living with her father, who has stage 4 leukemia.
?I am also immune compromised at the moment,? she added. ?I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices.?
The former ?Lost? star said she considers COVID-19 simply to be a ?respiratory flu? and believes the government is taking too much control.
?Where we are right now feels a lot too close to Marshall Law [sic] for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu,? she responded in another comment. ?It?s unnerving?Let?s be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious ? keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don?t abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power.?
In another comment, Lilly implied there could be a conspiracy behind coronavirus given its close timing to the presidential election. ?There?s ?something? every election year,? Lilly wrote.
[From Page Six]
This is basically one of the big arguments made by those anti-Vaxx aholes, right? That Big Government wants to control people using vaccines, and that a little measles never hurt anyone, it?s all some conspiracy. People aren?t quarantining and isolating because they think THEIR bodies can handle coronavirus. They?re isolating because there are so many vulnerable populations and our medical community will simply collapse if 3% of the population dies or 5% of the population needs to be hospitalized. I can?t believe Evangeline is this fking stupid.

Here are some photos from last night?s LA premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp, the latest offering from the Marvel Comics Universe. Paul Rudd is the Ant-Man, and he?s wearing a summer suit by Dunhill. Michelle Pfeiffer is wearing a Saint Laurent jumpsuit. Evangeline Lilly plays ?Wasp/Hope Van Dyne,? and this film is supposed to be a two-fer Evangeline is a full-fledged superheroine now, complete with a Wasp costume and a character reference in the title of the film, which is more than Scarlett Johansson?s Black Widow has ever gotten. Her dress at the premiere was this sleek off-white silk number. Very pretty.
I sort of forgot that Evangeline Lilly has been part of the Marvel Comics Universe for years now, but here she is, the Wasp. During promotion for Ant-man and the Wasp, Evangeline sort of snapped in a rather glorious way. Just know, that ever since Iron-Man (basically), it?s been a talking point for all of the male stars in the MCU to complain about their costumes. ScarJo has complained too, but not because she was uncomfortable she complained because her Black Widow kit gave her a rash. But the guys? The guys think their costumes are THE WORST. And Evangeline isn?t here for it.

Things are even cuter in the world of Evangeline Lilly, as she just welcomed her second child with partner Norman Kali.
The ?Ant-Man? actress showed up on the beach in Hawaii on Wednesday (October 22) and she certainly had already given birth.
Evangeline and Norman are already mom and dad to Kahekili, their four-year-old son who put Lilly through a grueling 30-hour labor. Evangeline previously told ?The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,? "Eight hours of pushing, that?s the part that men don?t understand. Women go, ?Oh, dear, oh, dear God, eight hours of pushing?? And the men are like, ?Okay, eight hours of pushing.? After about five hours of pushing, my midwife and my birthing assistant said, ?You know, we have a few suggestions.? And I was like, 'Really? After five hours of pushing you have a few suggestions? You couldn?t have told me five minutes in?'"

Evangeline Lilly covers the January issue of Ocean Drive to promote The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies. The last time we covered her, she revealed herself as a clueless non-feminist who wasn’t interested in “trying to pretend to be a man.” Evangeline talked about how roles came to her doorstep, and she never auditions for anything. This was reason enough for her to believe feminism isn’t necessary in today’s world. Evangeline previously said she would love to be barefoot and pregnant forever (because it’s “like a dream“), which sounded like an interview from a different person.
Adding to this confusion is this new discussion about Evangeline’s partner, Norman Kali. They’ve been together for 5 years and are parents to a 3-year-old son named Kahekili. Evangeline says she’s not into marriage, but she wants to have 6 kids. Kahekili is a stay-at-home dad, which is perfectly cool. But I have no idea how this fits in with Evangeline’s desire to be barefoot, pregnant, and not a feminist:
She doesn’t believe in lifelong love: “In my world, I don?t believe in forever promises. I don?t think it?s realistic.”
She still might marry her dude: “Every other 16-year-old girl wanted to look at bridal magazines; I could not have been more bored with the notion.I have an American son and an American partner, so marriage might logistically make sense at one point. My partner is a stay-at-home father, so if he wants to be on my health plan, or taxwise, or maybe on paper we want to have our I?s dotted and our T?s crossed, but emotionally neither of us really feels the need for it. We love each other today, and we hope we?ll love each other tomorrow.”
She’s thinking of adopting four kids? “What I wanted originally was six kids. I frickin? love being pregnant. I?m one of the lucky women who just had a blissful pregnancy, but I wanted to adopt four. My partner and I have really been through the ringer in the adoption world and it?s hard, so we?ll see what happens. Life is magically beautiful, and it brings you what is perfect.”
Being a mother “grounded” her: “I spent a lot of time in the clouds. Becoming a mother has really helped me put my feet on the ground and given me a very powerful sense of self and a powerful sense of priority in life. All I have to do is see my son to do that mental check that says, ?Is this really important? Do you really need to be doing this? Do you really care?? It helps put everything in perspective when things get stressful or when there?s a demand or pressure on me. At the end of the day, it?s our family, it?s being a mother and a partner and seeing love all around.”
She’s still trying to deal with her fame: “It just didn?t work for me.”
[From Ocean Drive]
Evangeline is an odd duck. I remember an interview she gave to Jay Leno, and she talked about working as a flight attendant. She got angry at a passenger and farted in his face! Perhaps she has impulse control problems? Evangeline famously retired from acting after a 6-season run on Lost. She made a quick comeback for the Hobbit films. She didn’t enjoy fame or anything that came with it. I don’t think she knows what she wants, from her love life or career. We’ll be seeing her soon in Ant-Man. So much for retirement, again.

She?s always been a smokin? starlet and Evangeline Lilly is reminding everyone of her hottie status in the January/February 2015 issue of Esquire.
The ?Lost? lady flaunts her enviable physique in a series of lingerie outfits while photographer Abbey Drucker snaps up photos. Evangeline also tells the publication about her first children?s novel titled ?The Squickerwonkers,? noting that she wants to empower kids with her writing.
"I don't want to shield kids from reality. I want to replicate their experience with characters they can hopefully relate to, ones that are flawed, lovable, troubled, courageous outcasts."

These are photos of Evangeline Lilly at the Tuesday premiere of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Her dress is Alberta Ferretti, and it looks ice capadey fug with a side of frump.
