Giving her Instagram followers a little extra thrill, Nicki Minaj posted a pair of perky photos on Sunday (March 1) and Monday (March 2) just as a reminder that she?s staying in top shape despite the winter weather.
The ?Anaconda? rapper showed off her toned tummy and killer curves in the social media snaps, along with the caption, ?When u finally start living for u & the ppl u love ONLY, life becomes so much easier.?
Nicki has been enjoying a banner year so far, thanks to the overwhelming sales of her latest album The Pinkprint, which hit stores in December. Furthermore, Miss Minaj?s rumored beau Meek Mill is reportedly planning a proposal. An insider told press, ?Meek is in love with Nicki and he is telling his friends that he is waiting for the perfect moment to pop the question.?

| Leo DiCaprio signs on to play possibly the biggest Oscar-bait role in history | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Do you think Leonardo DiCaprio really cares about winning an Oscar? That?s a real question that I?ve debated with myself a few times. On one side, I don?t think Leo has any interest in shilling his way through a major Oscar campaign. He?s already Leo, you know? Why would he beg for it? He hasn?t had to beg for anything in more than a decade. But on the other side, yes, I think Leo probably does feel the Sting every now and then, that he was snubbed for an Oscar nomination for Titanic (not to mention The Departed, which was one of my favorite Leo performances) and that he?s received four acting nominations throughout his career and it?s always someone else?s ?turn.? So maybe that?s why Leo has signed on to a film that seems like the biggest Oscar-bait that was ever baited: he will be playing a real man with multiple personality disorder. Leo will be playing 24 different characters all in one character.
Leonardo DiCaprio is getting closer to playing a role he’s eyed for nearly 20 years ? that of Billy Milligan, who was the first person to successfully use multiple personality disorder as a defense in a court of law.
DiCaprio’s Appian Way has come aboard to produce The Crowded Room with New Regency, while Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg have been hired to write the adapted script. The Crowded Room has been set up at New Regency for years, but never got off the ground (the project has been dormant for a decade). Smilovic’s hire gives renewed life to the adaptation of Daniel Keyes’ nonfiction tome about Milligan, who had 24 personalities. DiCaprio has been interested in playing him stretching back to 1997.
Published in 1981, Keyes’ book chronicles Milligan’s story, including his court trial in the late 1970s in Ohio after being charged with robbery and raping three women on the Ohio State University campus.
In the preparation of his defense, Milligan ? who died in December 2014 ? was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. Pleading insanity, he and his lawyers contended that two of his alternate personalities committed the crimes without his knowledge. He was the first to use this defense, and the first to be acquitted for this reason. Milligan’s various personalities included Adalana, a lesbian taking responsibility for the rapes; Ragen, a Yugoslavian communist who admitted to the robbery; and Arthur, an uptight Englishman.
Hollywood has long wanted to bring Milligan’s story to the big screen. High-profile directors who previously circled the project include James Cameron.
[From THR]
I can already see one problem with a potential Oscar campaign: Leo will be playing someone who committed violent crimes against women, women who are presumably still alive. The film will be seen as glorifying an admitted rapist. That?s just a preview of what the other Best Actor Oscar nominees will be saying when they?re up against Leo. But yes, this part sounds like one of the biggest Oscar-bait roles in history. Leo just needs to work it out so one personality is in a wheelchair, one personality has a speech impediment, one personality has an incurable disease, one personality is a monarch or despot, etc. Just throw in every award-winning character trope into one character. Leo?s going to produce this as well, which means he?ll have a lot of control over the direction of the script.

| Brad Pitt, 51, steps out at LAX with a salt & pepper beard: would you hit it? | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I was sitting here, trying to figure out why Brad Pitt looks so hot in these photos. What is it? I think it?s because he?s actually wearing clothes that fit his still-lean frame, which means he doesn?t look like he?s dressed in Hobo Chic (which has been his style for too long). The all-black looks good on him. And what else? Is it the grey beard? Y?all know I enjoy some facial hair, so that might be what makes Brad so sexy in these photos. That beard looks nice on him. Mm. I could do without the hat though.
These pics are of Brad arriving at LAX to take a flight to France. It feels like we haven?t even seen Brad in months and months, but that?s mostly because Brad and Angelina were nowhere to be seen during the awards season. Which, incidentally, was one of the most boring awards seasons in recent memory. I?m not saying that Brangelina have to put in appearances to make it interesting, but if we don?t get Brangelina, you better give us Julia Roberts, George Clooney and some other major A-listers.
So, what?s Brad up to these days? It?s still believed that Brad will be playing the lead in Africa, the Angelina Jolie-directed bio-pic of Richard Leakey. Before then, Brad will likely start production on The Big Short, with Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale and Steve Carrel. Apparently, that?s supposed to start this month in New Orleans. The premise of the film is very interesting ? it?s about the handful of people who successfully predicted the market crash of 2008 and ended up shorting the market for a major profit. Brad has also signed on to a ?romantic thriller? set during World War II, which will be directed by Robert Zemeckis. God knows when that will start.

| Michelle Rodriguez has interesting thoughts on minorities in superhero roles | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I’ve always enjoyed Michelle Rodriguez on camera. She kicks some serious butt in most of her movie roles. In real life, Michelle’s a hot, party-girl mess, and I still don’t understand the Zac Efron thing. Sometimes some weird stuff comes out of her mouth, which is what happened here. Some rumors started circulating about Michelle starring in a Green Lantern role, although god knows why they’d want to make a sequel.
TMZ caught up with Michelle on Friday night and asked about the casting rumor. In TMZ’s video, Michelle laughs and says, “That?s the dumbest thing I?ve ever heard … Like, stop stealing, you know, all the white people?s superheroes. Like, make up your own. Know what I?m saying, like what?s up with that?” TMZ implies that Michelle was referring to Samuel L. Jackson playing Nick Fury. Yeah, she probably was shading Sam, which bugs. He plays the Ultimate Nick Fury, a character who was designed with Sam Jackson in mind! His race shouldn’t matter anyway. Just like it doesn’t matter that Jason Momoa is playing Aquaman.
Michelle felt the backlash and recorded a video she posted to her Facebook page (with her cat in the background). I don’t think she improved upon the situation:
I want to clarify about my comment yesterday. I stuck my foot in my mouth once again, and I said that people should stop trying to steal white people superheroes. I guess it got taken out of context because a lot of people got offended … but I have a tendency to speak without a filter, so sorry about that. What I really meant was, ultimately at the end of the day there’s a language. And the language that you speak in Hollywood is successful franchise. And I think that there are many cultures in Hollywood that are not white that can come up with their own mythology … I’m just saying that instead of trying to turn a girl character into a guy or instead of trying to turn a white character into a black character or Latin character, I think that people should stop being lazy, and that people should actually make an effort in Hollywood to develop their own mythology.
[From Facebook]
Michelle’s lack of comic book knowledge doesn’t help matters. There are thousands of Green Lanterns in the comic books, not just the Hal Jordan character played by Ryan Reynolds. Some of them are men, some are women, and plenty of them are not white.
Putting that point aside, Michelle believes that placing minorities into roles that were written as “white” is intellectually lazy. Yes, it would be amazing if Hollywood would adapt tales of mythological figures from non-Eurocentric cultures. As the Daily Beast suggests, “There are tons of mythological figures in the African diaspora and across indigenous American cultures and Asian cultures that could be explored via major Hollywood productions.” Agreed. But I don’t see how it’s a bad thing when the best actor for a job captures a role, and those decisions shouldn’t be dependent upon race.

I don’t know why we don’t get more photoshoots like this one from Irina Shayk. I mean, for my money, she’s hands-down one of the hottest women in the world. But for some reason, it’s been at least a couple months since I last did a post on her. And all I know is, in […]
