In recent news, it sounds like Rimes and estranged husband, Dean Sheremet will officially be divorced on June 19, 2010.
As previously reported, the country star has wasted no time in moving on- she is currently dating Eddie Cibrian, a co-star she began an affair with that went public in the beginning part of this year.

On the career end of things, it was recently announced that Miss Wilde has agreed to voice the character Quorra for Disney Interactive Studios’ development of a TRON videogame called Evolution.
Set to be released during the 2010 holiday season, Olivia has already completed her filming duties for the corresponding “TRON: Legacy” movie - which hits theaters December 17, 2010.

Back home in the States just in time for the holidays, Katie Holmes was spotted paying a visit to Hermes in Beverly Hills on Wednesday (December 23).
The “Dawson’s Creek” damsel was helped out of a chauffeured SUV as she made her way inside the popular retail spot for a few last minute purchases.
The sighting comes after Katie had spent much of the past few months out of town while her husband, Tom Cruise, filmed a new movie called “Knight and Day”.
Joined overseas by their kids Connor, Isabella, and Suri, the group ended the stay by celebrating Katie’s 31st birthday at an Irish Pub in Seville before heading back home.

Together for over two decades, Miss Sarandon’s rep Teal Cannaday broke the news to People magazine, telling, “Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer. No further comments will be made.”
With both parties focusing on work efforts, Tim is rumored to be leading up the Gil Junger directed sports flick “Keeper of the Pinstripes,” which is expected to be released in October 2010.
Meanwhile, Susan has recently finished work on the Michael Lander directed thriller “Peacock,” as well as the Oliver Stone blockbuster “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps”.

While director Guy Ritchie makes the press junket rounds in support of his highly anticipated (and swoon-inducing) new film, “Sherlock Holmes,” you can imagine that the topic of his famous ex wife, Madonna, is going to come up. But rather than dodging questions about Madge, Ritchie has been surprisingly open - and positive - about the mother of his son, Rocco. He even defended her acting skills and the one movie they did together, “Swept Away,” which was brutalized by critics and audiences alike. He also said that Madonna and he have always been in agreement that his past library of films isn’t appropriate for their kids - but he’s pleased that he’s finally made a movie his children can see.
?The whole thing is supposed to be ironic,? Ritchie says of the remake, which, although technically a romantic comedy, suggested that what a domineering woman really needs from her man is a good smack. ?It?s about a man that hits a woman, and at the same time, it was her. There were all sorts of irony. If you ask me, everything about it was rather interesting, but it was such a feral relationship between a man and woman and you just can?t get away with that in contemporary society.?
His sublimated rage at Madonna notwithstanding, he is happy to defend her as a thespian. ?If you ask me, I think she?s all right. I think she?s perfectly good. I just don?t think people can get her persona out of the way.?
Whatever happened between the two of them, one thing they are in agreement about is what is appropriate for children. And thus far, Guy Ritchie movies have not been on the approved list. Prior to this, Ritchie says, his kids with her Madgesty had never seen any of his films. It?s not the violence or the occasional sex scene, nor is he seriously worried about the films being disturbing to them. ?It?s just the language,? he explains. ?I don?t want them being conspicuously exposed to bad language.?
Finally, he?s made a movie his children can see. ?It?s something the whole family could enjoy and at the same time it?s iconic and English and smart.?

There are also reports that Madonna will be spending Christmas day with Ritchie and all four of the children in England.
Madonna will be reunited with ex-husband Guy Ritchie as the former husband and wife celebrate Christmas with their children, according to a new report.
It was previously reported the “Snatch” director would be looking after sons Rocco and David Banda and daughters Mercy James and Lourdes over the holidays.
But now it appears a full family reunion will take place as the Material Girl jets into Britain with the kids so they can spend Christmas Day with the filmmaker at his country estate in Wiltshire, England.
A source tells Britain’s Mail on Sunday, “Madonna is flying in for 24 hours so Guy can spend Christmas Day with the children. Things are amicable between them and the children love Christmas at Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, which Guy has turned into a Santa’s grotto.”
The stars’ divorce was finalized in January, 2009.

Earlier this year, Nick Cannon gave his wife Mariah Carey a very special anniversary present - a puppy! The puppy was a Jack Russell terrier, and Mariah named her Cha-Cha. Well, Cha-Cha got knocked up, and she had to have an emergency c-section. Get this - Mariah flew in her ?personal vet? from Los Angeles to New York to perform the C-section. Mother dog and newborn puppy are doing well, and Mariah is showing off her grand-puppy while out and about with Nick in Aspen Colorado.
This puppy is really, really cute. I?ve heard Jack Russells are big pains, though. Like, they?re hyperactive and need a ton of exercise, something they?re not going to get if Mariah has an entourage specifically to carry her from place to place. This one looks very docile, so maybe I heard wrong. Or maybe he?s just exhausted from dealing with his grandmother.
By the way, I have no idea what Mariah named her grand-puppy. Perhaps, Butterfly Angel Razzle Dazzle? That’s my guess.
Also - Mariah’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is the most played Christmas song of the past decade. Well done, Mariah!

Miley Cyrus just revealed that she has a heart condition called tachycardia, which means that the resting heart rate exceeds a normal range. Digital Spy elaborates,
Cyrus told WENN that she always worries about her heart when she’s on stage or stressed.
“I try not to get too stressed. I step away from the situation and put myself ten years from where I am now and then say, ‘Alright, is this really something that is going to be significant in my life? Is this going to change where I’m going to be in ten years? At my happiest moment, is this still going to be weighing on my mind? No?’” she said.
“Otherwise I’ll just [worry] myself to death, where I’ll just be like, ‘I have to call, or I have to fix it, or I have to do this’. Finally, it’s just like it will all work out on its own.”
M’kay, I have no idea what that last sentence was supposed to mean, but we’ll just chalk it up to reduced blood flow to the brain. Here’s a health tip for you, Miley: Why don’t you lay off the stripper-pole dancing shenanigans? Why don’t you just do without the theatrics and sing, and give your heart a break? Oh yeah. Earlier this month there was some buzz over Britney Spears potentially being released from her father’s conservatorship. Britney’s long tour went off with barely a hitch and she seems to be more in control of her life than ever. A judge ruled that the conservatorship would be extended, though. There is no set date but TMZ claims it will be six months to a year at least. Britney’s estate was also ordered to pay huge fees to various lawyers, as usual.
Britney is under both a personal, i.e. medical, and professional conservatorship, and from what I understand both have been extended:
It was an expensive day in court Tuesday for Britney Spears. In a Los Angeles courtroom Commissioner Reva Goetz ordered the co-conservatorship of Britney Spears to continue, with her father, Jamie Spears, to continue to receive $16k a month for his duties as conservator of his daughter.
Goetz also ordered the co-conservator of Britney, Andrew Wallet, to be paid $174,569.10 for services rendered from July 2009-November 2009.
In addition Goetz ordered Jamie’s attorneys to be paid $183,918 and attorney Joel Boxer to be paid $62,965.06. Another law firm was ordered to be paid $50k. Jamie Spears was also allowed to continue to receive $1200 for office space.
Samuel Ingham, the court appointed attorney for Britney Spears, said in court that, “She [Britney] accepted the accounting as filed and had no objection to it.”
Other housekeeping issues concerned continuing to seal all medical and certain business transactions because of “trade secrets” and the commissioner also increased the bond for the conservatorship from $1 million dollars to $25 million. Bond is similar to insurance in conservatorship cases, so if anything were to happen to Britney’s money she would be covered and reimbursed.
The next court hearing is scheduled for January 14th. Fees for Laura Wasser, Brit’s legal ace divorce attorney will be dealt with at that time.

Things have been running smoothly for Britney since her father took over. It’s been almost two years since her huge breakdown and she seems back to normal. Honestly, I didn’t expect her to be able to complete her tour, which ran from the beginning of March to the end of September with only a couple of one-month breaks. She also did 14 dates in Australia last month. Apart from yelling that her “p*ssy was hanging out” and getting slammed for lipsyncing in Australia without providing a live video feed for the audience, we haven’t heard many complaints about her tour. She only missed one gig due to an issue with the promoter. Sure she lipsynced and strutted around, it’s what she does. Sadly she may have to do it for a while in order to continue to pay huge lawyer bills, child support payments, and staff. At least she seems happy. Well, sort of.
