The straw man argument being made by Bernie Sanders supporters and Russian bots is that ?Dumb liberals say Susan Sarandon is the reason why Hillary Clinton lost.? Or some version of that. Susan Sarandon is not the reason why Hillary Clinton won the popular vote and lost the electoral college. Susan Sarandon and her ilk of uninformed, toxic third-party supporters are one of several reasons why Hillary Clinton failed to squeak by in certain states. All of the people voting for Jill Stein could have actually made a difference if they gave a damn, if they werent focused on purity and unhinged Russian conspiracies. Unfortunately, Sarandon personally despised Hillary Clinton and seemingly every female candidate to the point where I?m just, likewhat is even going on here? Is this a personal vendetta or a presidential race? Anyway, Susan Sarandon is still supporting Bernie Sanders, because I guess Boomers still believe that we need a 77-year-old white man screaming at us constantly. Sarandon made an appearance at one of Sanders? Iowa events and of course she had to take a swipe at? Elizabeth Warren.
During her introduction of Senator Bernie Sanders at a campaign event in Cedar County, Iowa on Monday, Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon took what appeared to be a swipe at his primary progressive competition for the 2020 presidential nomination.
?When people know and when they hear the senator?s policies, when they see his track record, when they know how authentic he is and how he has been fighting for these issues for so long, he is the only one who has that reputation,? Sarandon said from the stage. ?He is not someone who used to be a Republican. He is not someone who used to take money?or still takes money?from Wall Street. He is the real deal.?
The line about ?someone who used to be a Republican? caught the ear of Politico?s 2020 campaign reporter Holly Otterbein, who pointed out on Twitter that while Sarandon didn?t ?name names,? of the other major candidates in the race it is Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) who was a registered Republican until the mid-1990s.
[From The Daily Beast]
I am so excited that Bernie Sanders and his supporters want purity tests during the 2020 election cycle. The purity tests worked so well in 2016, right? No one can ever vote for anyone who ever was a registered Republican (if they happen to be a woman). No one can ever vote for a? woman. Especially a woman running against Bernie Sanders. Anyway, this is just an update: Susan Sarandon is still up in her bullst.
?He is not someone who used to be a Republican,? says Susan Sarandon while introducing Bernie Sanders at an ice cream social in Iowa, talking about how he?s fought for the same issues for years.
She doesn?t name names, but Elizabeth Warren was formerly a registered Republican. pic.twitter.com/3R2hR2aRLw

At this point, can I just say outright that Susan Sarandon’s politics are a flaming pile of garbage and just leave it at that? Or will someone say, ?You need to provide receipts?? Fine, here are the receipts: over the past year, she has said some profoundly ignorant things about Hillary Clinton, Jill Stein and Donald Trump. She?s a purity-test progressive and Bernie-or-Buster who honestly believed that Trump was a more palatable candidate than Hillary Clinton. When she was rightfully criticized after the election, she spewed a bunch of bulls–t about how at least people are ?awake? now.
So, Sarandon appeared on Friday night?s episode of Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Colbert is no longer doing celebrity fluff and stupid skits. He?s leaning into politics in a big way, and his ratings have gone up as a consequence. So when Sarandon sat down, he started in on her about her politics.
I like the fact that Colbert didn?t even give her a chance at the beginning to talk about Feud, he just went IN on politics straight away. He asked her, ?You said, ?Some people feel that Trump might bring about the revolution immediately.? A) How?s that going? What?s your assessment of how ?the revolution? is going?? This is what she said:
?Well, I?m so happy that you asked ? not really, but OK, we?ll get into it. Well, have you seen this many town hall meetings of people from all parties storming and knocking on the doors of their representatives and complaining and screaming and yelling?? Sarandon asked. Colbert replied, ?Not since 2010.?
Sarandon wasn?t having it. ?No. Not since the ?70s, I think. This is really out of control. Now there are town hall meetings everywhere. I saw one in California where they were screaming about ICE coming in and taking people. I mean, people are really awake now because ?the cracks let the light in,? as Leonard Cohen would say. You need that ?crack?…Like, Goldman Sachs has been in our politics since forever and now we?re noticing because this guy is such a bozo, he?s doing everything so badly, that he?s not slick like everybody else. All the fracking that?s been going on? Now everybody?s awake, they?re energized? They?re calling their senators; they?re donating to all of these groups. You?re funnier, don?t you think? It?s doing great things for comedy.?
[From NY Magazine]
She goes on to say that, basically, everything is going to plan and the next step – I guess? – is ?identifying real progressives? who will promise to get us healthcare, etc, and I’m sure that in Sarandon’s delusional little 5-year-old mind, what we really need now are more progressive purity tests. Here?s what I don?t get though, Susan: did we really NEED Emperor Bigly Fists in office to do all of this? I get her point about Bigly being such a shock to the system and how he?s spurred all of this activism, etc. But I still don?t understand how our current reality is somehow preferable to the alternate reality wherein Democrats, progressives and moderates all came together to vote Hillary Clinton into office and then set about dragging her to the left during her presidency. That somehow being ?awake? now suddenly justifies the enormous sh-tshow that is our country under Emperor Bigly.
And I absolutely loathe this concept that people only became f–king AWAKE right now. Millions of people were plenty awake before Bigly. Those are the people who voted for Hillary Clinton because we took this sh-t seriously. We were already awake and we decided that a moderate Dem would always be a better ally than Bigly.

I don’t normally put up pictures of 69-year-old women on this site, unless I’m going for all the GILF fans out there, but just take a second to appreciate the seriously impressive old lady cleavage onSusan Sarandon here at the SAG Awards.Out of all the things she could have passed on to her daughter Eva […]

Susan Sarandon attended the SAG Awards on Saturday night as a presenter and a nominee (for her work in the Lifetime miniseries The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe). Susan wore this MaxMara suit and she took over the internet. Because I guess no one has ever seen her cleavage before? You guys, this is nonsense. Susan has always been known as a busty actress, and she?s never shied away from showing a little skin. But I guess people hadn?t seen her in a while, and they were stunned by the fact that a 69-year-old woman would wear a deep-cut suit and an exposed bra. My issue with this is that the suit sucks ? I would have loved to have seen Susan in a really well-cut white suit, and if there was some bra peeking out, who cares? But this suit is terrible.
Anyway, Twitter exploded and everyone was talking about Sarandon. For what it?s worth, most of the tweets I saw were complimentary, although some media outlets claimed Susan was being ?cleavage shamed? or whatever. Maybe there were some ageist comments, but then again? how often do we see 69-year-old actresses showing this much skin? There were also some comments about the inappropriateness of wearing this ensemble to present the ?In Memoriam? section of the SAGs. Susan was asked to do it because she knew David Bowie and had worked with him, just FYI.
Maybe I?m just not feeling the outrage, but this really does have me mystified. What?s the big deal? No, really?
Kate Winslet was shocked! She tried to cover up Susan?s cleavage.

| Susan Sarandon, 69, is the latest brand ambassador for L?oreal: great choice? | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Susan Sarandon, 69, is a rare older actress who has been honest to the press about the work she’s had done, which is extremely subtle. No one would have called her out for getting noticeable work, is what I’m saying, and yet she was brave enough to admit several years ago that she had lipo “under my chin and under my eyes.” I didn’t know that eye lipo was a thing until Sarandon discussed it, although many of you thought that “lipo under the eyes” was another way of describing a lower blepharoplasty, or eye lift. So Susan isn’t all natural, but she looks incredible and in no way tweaked or plucked. That’s why she’s an inspired choice to represent L’oreal. Susan has been named a brand ambassador for the makeup line.
She’s so worth it! Susan Sarandon may have a bevy of awards and accolades, but her newest gig as L?Oreal Paris brand ambassador, announced on Friday, January 8, is a particularly meaningful one.
?When L?Oral Paris and [Brand Global President Cyril Chapuy] first approached me, I was so flattered,” the Tammy actress shared in a statement. “The brand has always been a leader in helping in the empowerment and development of women. The very first time I heard ?Because I?m Worth It,’ it definitely was a shift in the framing of why you should look good. It had to do with women becoming the master of their own lives and decisions. It?s an extremely powerful statement that has transcended time.”
It?s also a message that speaks to her heart. ?I look forward to being older, when what you look like becomes less and less an issue and what you are is the point,? she said.
The Oscar winner, who has three children ? Eva, 30, Miles, 23, and Jack Henry, 26 ? added, “Beauty comes from the inside; it?s a state of mind. I?m proud to be a part of their message and to represent the L?Oral Paris women.”
And Chapuy is beyond proud to have her as a part of the team. “Susan is a cinematic icon,” he said in a statement. “She is strong, charismatic and talented, and has a compelling sense of self. Her outspoken activism, captivating film work and authentic charm continue to inspire women to be fearless and believe in their convictions. She is a real woman of worth inside and out. We are honored to have Susan as a new Lorealista.”
In her new role as an international spokesperson, Sarandon will be the face of Age Perfect skincare and hair color.
[From US Magazine]
US Magazine tells us that other L’oreal ladies include Blake Lively, Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, and Naomi Watts. You know who my favorite L’oreal older lady is? Andie MacDowell. I love her L’oreal ads, she’s the best. She has such an ageless beauty and I envy her hair.
Kaiser reminded me that Helen Mirren also worked for L’oreal and that she represents “Paris Age-Defying face cream.” That brand knows exactly which spokespeople to chose, although I think they made a minor misstep with Blake Lively. She does have a “girl next door” quality I guess.
Also, I assumed L’oreal still did animal testing as that was a major issue with them several years back. They state that they no longer do any animal testing unless “regulatory authorities [demand] it for safety or regulatory purposes.” So while they may not have a spotless record, at least they’re trying now.

Here’s Susan Sarandon at “The Meddler” premiere at TIFF. Susan is 68-years-old now and proving that her boobs can still be somewhat appreciated. Very soon after Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins split in 2009, Susan took up with a then-31-year-old dude named Jonathan Bricklin. She was 63 years old at the time. I kind of thought it was a flash-in-the-pan rebound romance that would run its course in a few months. After all, she was reaching retirement age and he was a ping-pong hustling hipster. Five years later? well, it lasted longer than I was expecting. But it?s over now! Page Six says Susan (now 68) and Jonathan (now 37) are over.
Susan Sarandon and her much younger boyfriend, SPiN New York co-founder Jonathan Bricklin, have split after five years following a disagreement over a reality show, Page Six has exclusively learned. Bricklin, 37, and Sarandon, 68, both appear on Morgan Spurlock?s new AOL series ?Connected,? which centers on six New Yorkers and their partners who were handed cameras to document their lives for six months.
The show, which will air its first episode on March 31, highlights entrepreneur and filmmaker Bricklin?s relationship with Oscar winner Sarandon, but we?re told she grew increasingly annoyed about their private lives being filmed.
?It caused a lot of strain in the relationship,? a source told us. ?It?s documented for the show that Susan breaks up with him because she doesn?t want to be involved with the show. She says, ?You?re a cast member, I?m not.??
Despite not wanting to be a reality star, Sarandon?s name is listed as Bricklin?s girlfriend in a press release for the show. She is about to start shooting the movie ?The Death and Life of John F. Donovan? with Kathy Bates.
?As of now, they?re working on things,? our source said of Sarandon and Bricklin, but it?s unclear whether they?ll get back together.
Sarandon, who had been in a long-term relationship with actor Tim Robbins prior to meeting Bricklin, is an investor in Bricklin?s pingpong franchise. We also heard the show caused strife between Bricklin and his SPiN New York partners ? but a SPiN rep insists he?s still a partner in the business. Reps for Sarandon and Bricklin didn?t get back to us last night.

It sort of sounds like she thought he was using her to get press. But after five years, it?s not like he suddenly went Full Famewhore, you know? Maybe he wanted her in the show because she was his girlfriend of five years. Anyway, Susan will probably search out some new young lover. Do you think the age difference will be 30-plus years again?

| Susan Sarandon on her 37-year-old lover: 'It's the soul of a person that interests me' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Ever since Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins officially split in 2009, she?s been with a 31-years-younger man. There actually might have been some overlap between Tim Robbins and this younger dude, Jonathan Bricklin. At the time (2009), Susan was 63 and Jonathan Bricklin was 32. Nowadays she?s 68 and he?s 37. And they?re still making it work. Susan has previously said that she ?loves? being called a cougar, so? go ahead and say that about her. She?s on Social Security and she?s banging a 37-year-old. She?s living the dream.
Famously private actress Susan Sarandon has broken her silence on her romance with a man 31 years her junior. The 68-year-old star has remained tight-lipped about her relationship with 37-year-old screenwriter Jonathan Bricklin, with whom she runs the trendy SPiN ping-pong lounges.
?Our collaboration extends into several areas,? the Oscar-winning actress admitted in an interview with Hello! Magazine. She was quick to add that the age gap is meaningless for a couple in love.
?It?s the soul of a person that interests me,? the Thelma & Louise star said. ?When you are in love, the question of age, sex, color no longer hold any importance.?
Sarandon also revealed she and her boytoy ? who she met on a road trip to Chile in early 2010 ? have not moved in together.
?We don?t live under the same roof,? the mum-of-three revealed. ?We?re not an ordinary couple.?
The Tammy star reportedly got together with her new flame several months after splitting from partner of 23 years, Tim Robbins. Robbins was 12 years younger than Sarandon. Sarandon was previously married to actor Chris Sarandon for 12 years. She has two sons ? Jack, 25, and Miles, 22 ? with Robbins, and is mother to 29-year-old actress Eva Amurri Martino, with Italian film director Franco Amurri.
[From Page Six]
I like that there actually is some mystery with these two, that Susan isn?t doing photo-op after photo-op with Bricklin, like she?s trying to ?prove? how sexy she is. She knows she?s sexy. She knows she?s a cool grandma. And sure, maybe this thing with Bricklin isn?t forever, but they?re both adults and they?re having fun. I actually think their relationship seems more like a business arrangement with benefits. And Bricklin seems like such a try-hard hipster, but God knows. He must be cool-ish if Susan finds him interesting.

I don’t know why I care so much, but I was just wondering in my last story on Susan Sarandon whether she was still with that 30-something ping pong entrepreneur, Jonathan Bricklin. Bricklin was all of 31 in December of ’09 when we first heard rumors that Sarandon was messing around with him. Of course we heard that Sarandon had split with her longterm partner, Tim Robbins, right before the news came out that she was seeing a guy who was 32 years younger than she was. So the timeline was suspect, or maybe Sarandon and Robbins waited months to announce their split.
Anyway fast forward two and a half years and Sarandon and Bricklin are still going seemingly strong. She took him with her to the Czech Republic, where she premiered her film Jeff Who Lives at Home at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival this weekend. She also received a lifetime achievement award. The Daily Mail has details of Susan’s acceptance speech, and dedicated the award to the late great Nora Ephron. Sarandon got choked up when she said “I dedicate this to Nora Ephron. My friend and a wonderful director and writer.” As The Mail points out, Sarandon never starred in Ephron’s films, but they were old “friends who travelled in the same circles in New York and Los Angeles.” It’s hard to believe Ephron has passed. It seemed like just yesterday that she was promoting her memoir.
To lighten the mood, let’s talk about Susan’s dress at the closing ceremony, above. I don’t have a designer ID on it, but this black number with the sheer side panels looks like Stella McCartney. From far away and when the light isn’t hitting it full on it looks potentially flattering on her, as compared to the other hideous sack dress she wore to premiere the film. In the photo above you can see nip, her boobs are hanging low and the dress looks way too revealing to me. In each of these appearances her shoes are really dragging her down. She obviously goes for comfort and it shows. Would it kill her to throw some cute heels in her bag to slip into for the red carpet?
Also, Bricklin’s mustache is ridiculous. Is that what they call an “ironic mustache?” I really hope so, but even so there’s no excuse for it. Maybe it looks better from another angle?
