I don?t know which is worse for Erin Heatherton: the fact that she?s bankrupt or the fact that every article about her bankruptcy identifies her as ?Leo DiCaprio?s ex-girlfriend.? Erin Heatherton is/was a model and quite a famous one at that. She?s not Gisele-famous, but Erin walked Victoria?s Secret runways and she booked some big runway jobs and editorials. She made serious money at one time in her career. But now she?s broke as hell and she has more than $500K in debt.
Former Victoria Secret?s model Erin Heatherton has filed for bankruptcy and is over half a million dollars in debt, but lists one of her most valuable assets as something from the wife of Leo DiCaprio?s best friend, Tobey Maguire. According to court documents, Heatherton ? real name Erin Bubley ? filed for Chapter 7 earlier this year, listing $6,465.57 in assets and $560,242.13 in liabilities.
The model said her average monthly income is $1,089.91 (with $221 coming from family/friends) but spends $1,074 on expenses, leaving her without much.
Her property includes $750 in electronics, $995 for a ?What Goes Around Comes Around? vintage Japanese jacket, $500 in other apparel, and a $945 Jennifer Meyer diamond letter disc necklace (Meyer is Maguire?s ex). She also has $919 in her checking accounts.
Her debts include large amounts of credit card debt, specifically lines of credit opened a year before she started dating Leo. Erin and Leo dated from December 2011 until October 2012. The docs note in 2010, the model took out three credit cards with City National Bank. She currently owes $11,514 on one card, $9,485 on another and $194,602.49 on a third for a total $215,601.49.
She also owes another $201k to City National for a line of credit, $100k from a legal battle with a former business partner, and $41k in back taxes to the state of New York. Heatherton made $226,596 for 2017, $18k in 2018, and $2,820 so far in 2019. The model also lists a long list of clothes and shoes she hawked to third parties prior to filing for bankruptcy. The bankruptcy case is still ongoing.

I honestly don?t understand how people can keep spending so much using credit cards. I only keep a balance on one credit card and I keep it below $1000 and even that makes me mad. How in the world can people accumulate more than $100,000 on credit cards, for the love of God? Granted, I know that in the sketchy world of American health care, some people are charging their necessary medical treatments or medications, but I don?t think that?s the case with Erin Heatherton. I think she just likes to shop and she?s not getting any work these days. Also: a model?s shelf-life, huh? Erin is 30 years old and I guess she didn?t save any money from her actual modeling heyday.

She sported a mismatched bikini on a beach in Tulum as she enjoyed a day of leisure with girlfriends.
The leggy star – who dated Leonardo DiCaprio in 2011 for about a year – also accessorized with a pair of headphones around her neck and a red tote bag as she wandered away from the beach with a girlfriend.

Celebrating her gorgeous magazine cover, Erin Heatherton hit up the Ocean Drive party in Miami on Thursday evening (July 17).
The Victoria?s Secret babe look radiant in a Little Black Dress by Cushnie et Ochs as she helped kick-off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim with a bash celebrating the mag?s Annual Swim Issue.
During her interview with the mag, Erin talked about her self-perception, and noted, ?I?m not perfect. I never identified with the way I look; I was just born this way. I don?t feel rejection if I?m not the right person for a job, because that?s not where I find my self-worth. I?m a beautiful person, and that?s not because of my modeling career. There are good shots, and there are bad shots, but it?s just like playing a character. If you think of the top five people that you care about the most in your life, you probably don?t care if they look good in every angle or photo.?
Heatherton also shares that her height was a social problem growing up. ?That?s the standard tale of most models. I was always the tallest, so that contributed to me being a tomboy and playing sports. A lot of my friends were boys, but I didn?t have ?boyfriends? in high school, really. I was 5-foot-5 in fifth grade; I grew six inches in two years. When I was 15, I stopped growing at 5-foot-11.?

This sort of surprises me, although I don?t know why it would. These are photos of Erin Heatherton in a bandage dress, arriving at a Victoria?s Secret store for some kind of store event in New York City. As you can see, Erin is enjoying some last drags from a cigarette before she goes into the store to do her appearance.
So, why does this surprise me? I assume that most models live on Diet Coke and cigarettes anyway, although almost all of them deny it and claim that they eat real food (?Of course, I love French fries!? says every model everywhere, always) and they all claim to live healthy lives. So, while it doesn?t surprise me to learn that a model has a secret life as a smoker, it surprises me that she doesn?t really care if she?s pap?d with a cigarette. Usually, a model would have dropped her cig, popped a Tic Tac and pretended that no one saw her with the cig so she would keep her ?healthy, wholesome? image.
Also, I guess this shouldn?t surprise me because Erin was with Leo DiCaprio for a while, and he?s a smoker too. Although Leo has traded in his ciggies for the E-cigarette, which is just water vapor (not smoke).

Hoping to boost sales of sexy swimwear, Erin Heatherton attended the Victoria's Secret U.S. of Angels Swim Summer Tour stop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday (July 18).
The leggy Angel donned a short, white, dress and coral heels as she posed for photos at the Midwestern store location.
Sharing her stop with her Twitter followers, the 24-year-old blonde beauty tweeted, "Getting a full on #Milwaukee experience - home of the @harleydavidson. #Angels2Milwaukee #VSswim."
Later, Heather posted a photo with a bronze statue of Fonzie from "Happy Days" with the caption, "With the @VictoriasSecret fam and Bronze Fonz #eyyyy #Angels2Milwaukee."
