Hanging with friends for the holiday, Nicole Richie celebrated the Fourth of July by hitting the beach for a Malibu fireworks show (July 4).
The "Simple Life" star was in good company for her Independence Day fun, as hubby Joel Madden, his brother Benji, and Lindsay Lohan's ex Sam Ronson were also on-hand for the celebratory fete.
Meanwhile, Nicole has just unveiled a 14-piece, 70's inspired handbag collection for her super-successful House of Harlow 1960 line.
The socialite-turned-fashion-designer says that while the line is modest - it's not the quantity but rather the quality that counts, telling press, "The collection is quite small in terms of the styles we are launching with. I wanted to make sure that each piece is special and then be able to grow it slowly and organically.

Unfortunately for the actress, she spent too much time in the gym - as she found a parking ticket on her vehicle upon her return.
In other news, ever since she parted ways with her now ex-husband, Ms Wilde has been rumored to be dating guys like Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, and Justin Timberlake.
Last week, a celebrity news site claimed Olivia went on a date with actor Chris Pine, but she quickly tweeted the truth, as she wrote, "Strange to hear I was on a date at a restaurant I've never been to. But I trust my doppleganger [sic] had a blast. Hope she doesn't rob any banks."

A couple of weeks ago, we were busily scratching our collective heads over why Jake Gyllenhaal, a.k.a. “He Who Cuddlefests,” has decided to guest star alongside host Bear Grylls on the season premiere of “Man vs. Wild.” Some of you thought that Jake was trying to prove his manliness, and one or two of you thought he was just a fan of the show. I’m inclined to hang with the former school of thought, however far-fetched the desired end result might seem.
At any rate, the Jake episode will air next Monday on the Discovery Channel, but ET has a sneak peek of the duo as they defy death in the harsh, unfriendly Iceland climate. Naturally, the video is stuck on autoplay, so we’re not posting it, but you can watch it here. It’s pretty hilarious to watch Jake attempting to haul his body across the length of a rope that stretches over an enormous cavern, but I’ll resist making any stunt wiring jokes. However, I’m certainly not beyond imagining that, once the harrowing experience concluded, Jake and Bear hopped into a luxury SUV and feasted upon White Bean Dip with Rosemary Olive Oil and Slushy Watermelon Mojitos as the vehicle sped along to its ultimate spa destination.
Once again and for those of you who think I’m being too tough on Jake (who I actually like a lot), here’s a refresher on the process by which a “Man vs. Wild” can be faked:

This is very interesting because Kate is allegedly supposed to get the September cover of American Vogue, with an extensive profile of her wedding. Mario Testino was AT her wedding, and he was photographing Kate on the day, in candids (and I would imagine, several formal portraits as well). Did Vogue UK just c–kblock American Vogue?
As for Kate?s post wedding plans, according to random British sources, Kate and Jamie Hince are honeymooning in the Mediterranean, on Sir Philip Green?s yacht. Sources also claim that Kate is ?desperate? for another child, and hopes to get pregnant on her honeymoon. It wouldn?t surprise me at all if Kate wound up pregnant again - Lila is how old now? She?s like 8 or 9 years old, I think. And Kate is only 37! A source tells Closer magazine: ?Kate wants to give Jamie the best wedding gift he could wish for by coming home from their honeymoon pregnant. They’ve started a new chapter and feel ready for parenthood. Kate’s never really been ready to try for another baby, there was always some event coming up, but now she is. (She) has been eating tons of oily fish, veg and fruit to make sure she can conceive. Jamie has long been keen for them both to curb their partying and settle down.? Yeah, it?s past time for Kate to put down the straw and start cleaning up her bidness. That being said, she managed to give birth to one healthy child, and I hope she will be able to again.

It?s no secret that LeAnn Rimes has been the target of eating disorder rumors, but the ?Can?t Fight the Moonlight? songstress? trainer Michael Jackson has come to her defense.
Rimes lamented, ?People are calling me bulimic or anorexic. These are real issues and diseases- that I don?t have.?
Jackson explained to FOX 411, ?I know it really bothers her. A lot of people see pictures of LeAnn and assume certain things. But we?re in the process of putting a video together that she?ll post to her blog so that people will see what it is that we?re doing to get her in shape.?
He continued, ?It?ll probably go live sometime next month?we haven?t set an exact date. I know she?s really anxious to show people?excuse my French?that she takes her s**t seriously.?
?With LeAnn, the one thing I do is boxing?it?s all about boxing. We use hand mitts and boxing gloves. For a typical workout, we warm up with about five to 10 minutes of jump rope. Then, we?ll get going with some light, dynamic stretching. But LeAnn usually likes to start boxing first. When she comes into the gym, she?s usually just gotten off a plane and she needs to work some stuff out, so we?ll do some boxing, using traditional boxing techniques. We?ll also work on the core, legs and hips. We do arms more than anything. I know a lot of people think boxing is just punching, but proper technique involves working out the quads, butt, back and core?things a lot of women like to work on.?
?After boxing, we?ll do some strength training, which consists of a core workout. We?ll have our days where we?ll do core, we?ll have our days where we?ll do legs and upper body. That?ll consist of lunges, lunges with weights and squats. For core work, we?ll use a cable machine. Then, we?ll end with some stretches. It?s not anything light.?
As for LeAnn?s diet, Michael shared, ?Every week, I give her a meal plan. We?re always back and forth on Twitter?if she can?t get to her computer, she?ll email or text message me?I make it as convenient as possible.?
?She eats a lot of lean meats?fish, chicken?maybe on occasion, lean turkey. A lot of vegetables?broccoli, carrots and asparagus. And I try to have LeAnn eat some fruit like oranges or apples before 3 o?clock. The reason for that is because fruits contain a lot of sugar, and sugar metabolizes into carbs, so I try to have her eat that before she really gets active. Fruits are a good source energy?much better than energy drinks.?

Paris Fashion Week began today (I think) and these are photos from the Armani Prive show, where the two big celebrity attendees were? Cate Blanchett. And Katie Holmes. We so rarely get new photos of Our Beloved Blanchett, so lets milk these two lonely photos for all they are worth. I?m assuming Cate wore Armani, and it is magnificent, as most things are on her. You?d think that red would overwhelm her, considering she?s so pale and blonde and such. But it doesn?t - it works beautifully on her. Maybe that?s just because I love her? but I seriously think she looks amazing. I want the suit. UPDATE: I added more photos of Cate.
Next: Katie Holmes. No, we don?t have access to any photos where you can see her whole outfit. I think it?s black, loose and long-sleeved. Armani did her wedding gown, if I remember correctly, so Katie has some history with the brand. Plus, she doesn?t have much else going on - she?s been in Florida, where Tom Cruise is filming Rock of Ages, and she just threw him a big birthday party. As we talked about yesterday, LeAnn is on another needy, crazy jag where she?s tweeting bikini photos of herself and making some big fuss about how she?s so healthy and she doesn?t know why people continue to harp about how skinny she is and she?s eating so much and she?s America?s Sweetheart and everybody is just yelling at her all the time and it?s NOT HER FAULT. So, what to do? First, I would suggest that LeAnn and her doctors sit down and figure out the right medication and dosage and everything, because the neverending cycle of manufactured drama is making my eye twitch, and none of it healthy.

Barf on that, but beyond her bones, how weird is it that LeAnn hired a professional photographer to take artsy bikini photos, just so she can post them on Twitter? These are totally professional, hi-res images - which just proves A) LeAnn has too much time on her hands that she?s organizing this kind of dumbass photo shoot FOR TWITTER and B) Bitch needs a prescription. Ashton Kutcher is engaged in a little twitter war with the Village Voice over their adult-oriented personals section, backpage.com. Ashton is criticizing The Voice for allegedly providing a forum for underage prostitution and human trafficking, which is his cause celebre through his recently formed DNA Foundation. This all sounds very important and laudable, only The Voice just ran a piece that sheds light onto the issue of human trafficking and questions whether it’s as widespread and as ignored as Ashton and his wife Demi’s foundation make it out to be. Both Ashton and The Voice have vested interests in this very hot button issue.
Don’t mess with Ashton Kutcher! That’s the message he and his seven million Twitter followers have made very clear after he became embroiled in a bitter war with Village Voice, which he claims is profiting from victims of child prostitution.
The actor began his quest to bring down the paper after it published an article about he and his wife, Demi Moore. Village Voice claimed the pair had used exaggerated numbers when campaigning against sex-trafficking.
Ashton then used his Twitter social networking page to contact huge businesses such as American Airlines, Disney and Domino’s Pizza to get them to drop their advertising from the site.
“Hey @disney @dominos are you aware that you are advertising on a site that owns and operates a digital brothel?” he tweeted.
Now despite stating he is ready to put his battle ‘to bed’ he has launched another scathing attack on his blog.
Kutcher writes that Village Voice has a vested interest in downplaying the problem of sex trafficking. The paper and its website end with a huge section called backpage.com that advertises jobs, cars for sale and apartments for rent, and also escort services, “body rubs” and “adult jobs.”
“The Village Voice has repeatedly attempted to reduce sex trafficking to an ‘under-age’ issue,” Ashton wrote.
“And while they claim to spend millions of dollars fighting underage sex trafficking, they fail to address the countless number of girls that are over the age of 18 and being forced by their pimps and traffickers to post ads on Backpage.com. I have personally had conversations with many of these victims and have heard horror stories confirming this.”
Kutcher launched a campaign called ‘Real Men Don’t Buy Girls’ but was angered by the article published by the Voice called, ‘Real Men Get Their Facts Straight’.
In his latest blog he suggests is selling victims next to couches and bicycles and claims they are trying to ‘discredit’ his fight against the cause.
He signs off with a warning: “As for advertisers, it’s my intention to continue to make them aware of who you are and what happens on your platform. They can do with that what they choose.”

I get that Ashton and Demi want to protect kids and women from human trafficking and that’s admirable. Whether it’s 200,000, 800 or 8 kids that are being exploited yearly, it’s one too many. It’s good that this guy has a cause and that he’s raising awareness of it, even if it may be slightly misguided. (And I’m not saying it is, although I found the Voice article convincing.) However, he’s now going after the Village Voice and their advertisers hard right after they posted a negative article questioning his knowledge of the issue he claims to hold dear. This is a guy who blogs Internet hoaxes without checking snopes and has admitted he’s prepared for armageddon. The ad compaign for this charity was ridiculous. I don’t find Ashton an authority on much and it doesn’t help his argument that he’s striking out at the Voice right after they ran a well researched article questioning his cause.
However, Ashton did post some letters to his website from the Seattle Police department asking the Village Voice to help combat underage prostitution by running an age verification ID check for the classifieds in their “backpage” section. This seems completely reasonable and like something the Voice should institute. It just strikes me that there’s a better way to ensure that happens.

Paris Hilton must be desperate to get us to watch the tail end of her flailing reality show, The World According to Paris. Either that and/or she’s trying to make her very recent ex boyfriend, Cy Waits, think she’s moved on already. Paris has been spotted out with Hangover director Todd Phillips. In case the club makeout pictures on TMZ weren’t enough to convince us, she arranged a pappable moment with Phillips, who looked kind of annoyed to see that their outing was being photographed.

The unlikely pair began showing up together almost immediately after Paris confirmed she’d split from longtime boyfriend Cy Waits.
She was caught kissing The Hangover producer/director at a nightclub on Thursday, and Sunday the new pair was out for lunch in Malibu.

I hope Radar is wrong and that Paris doesn’t get cameos in any of his films. She could play herself I guess, but it’s not like she has a fraction of Diddy or Mike Tyson’s acting ability or charisma.
I’m not buying this relationship. Paris dates pretty boys like Doug Reinhardt, Alex Vaggo, Stavros Niarchos III, Paris Latsis and Cy. She did declare her love for Benji Madden, though, so maybe she likes to mix it up when she needs the publicity.
In other news about Paris, her stalker was arrested outside her Malibu beach house on Monday. This was the same guy who attacked her then-boyfriend, Cy Waits, outside a court hearing for another stalker/intruder in April. I think the problem here is that Paris is just way too easy to find.

I thought this was a photo of Zac Efron having his “High School Musical” co-star Ashley Tisdale get a bird’s eye view of his hair to better check for any unsightly split ends, but a photo of them kissing at her 26th birthday party has since surfaced, so I guess we’re supposed to think he’s not really gay. NY Daily News says:
The two stars have long insisted they are noting more than best buds, [but] in one of many hands-on moments, the 23-year-old Efron carried a bikini-clad Tisdale in his arms as he kissed her neck.
In another, the two exited the water together holding hands.
Not exactly family-friendly material, though that’s what Tisdale still claims they are.
“So happy zacary made it to my party,” she tweeted. “He’s my brother/best friend!!!”
The only time you can legitimately make out with your brother is if you’re a resident of West Virginia or Arkansas. They aren’t. You do the math. Unless you’re a resident of West Virginia or Arkansas, in which case math is largely considered a myth, like literacy and dentistry.

Yes, she?s ?retired? but she?s still doing endless promotion - I think this interview is to promote her clothing line/shop, Lucy in Disguise, that she does with her sister. The interview - and the pictorial - were done before Lily married her longtime boyfriend Sam Cooper, and before she announced her current pregnancy. She doesn?t look pregnant in the photos, unless we?re talking about her bigger boobs. I actually think these photos of Lily are rather gorgeous, and I so rarely think that of Lily. She?s cute, sure, but gorgeous? What a difference a good haircut and sophisticated styling does for a girl. Does anyone else think she looks a bit like Katy Perry? And by that I mean Dita Von Teese.

Lily Allen has revealed that her local church helped her get through her darkest days after losing her unborn baby last year. The Smile star, 26, explained that because of the kindness of the village vicar and the local community, she was inspired to actually wed in the chapel, something she’d not considered previously. She said it was a way of expressing how important the community of Cranham, Gloucestershire, had become to her and now husband Sam Cooper as they struggled to cope with their loss.
Talking to Elle magazine, she said: ‘People wouldn?t have thought I?d have a church wedding, but since I had the really traumatic experience last year, our local community all pitched in. We hadn?t been there long, but after the news got out we received flowers and really heartfelt, beautifully written cards. Our vicar said a similar thing had happened to his family, so he would come over and sit with me. It feels really nice. We feel protected.?
Lily tied the knot with building boss Sam at the Anglican St James the Great church on June 11. The pair had bought a 3million house there after deciding to quit London for good in September while Lily was pregnant and soon felt at home. However, the singer suffered a viral infection and lost the baby at six months.
But the star said despite her heartbreak, she hadn’t reverted back to her wild partying ways - and credited Sam with helping her change. She explained: ?I wasn?t eating then, you know, [I was] going out at night. I guess when you?re not eating you have to distract yourself with other things. Come three o?clock it was like, ?Oh I suppose it?s acceptable to have a glass of wine.? And then by four o?clock I would have had four glasses. It?s not the way to be. But then I met Sam and he noticed that behaviour. I think it came to a point for him where he was thinking, “Can I be with this girl if this is what her life is like? I want to make this work, but I can’t live in this world.” I just needed someone to tell me.’
Lily added becoming healthier has made her see models and pop stars for what they are too.
She said: ?I hang out with models, the biggest pop stars and, you know, really and honestly, I hate saying this, but none of them are achieving those body shapes by being healthy. They?re not just going to the gym two hours a day. They?re not eating or they?re taking speed not to eat. In America everyone abuses that Adderall stuff and people aren?t normal.?
Her raw interview doesn?t name any names but she is clearly referring to people that she has spent a lot of time with and monitored their eating habits. However, despite her growing confidence now she is Mrs Cooper, Lily says she doesn’t like wearing certain clothes if she feels like there is too much on display. But despite her own insecurities she says Sam makes her feel brilliant and loves every piece of her body.
On their wedding day, it was also revealed that the couple are pregnant and her tiny bump was slightly visible underneath her gorgeous dress. Even before Lily and Sam became husband and wife, she had personalized Louis Vuitton luggage made with her married initials LRC (Lily Rose Cooper) printed, which she says freaked her husband out.
?He was really freaked out when he saw it. I practised my signature within an hour of him proposing?, she said.

Making for an extra-special Fourth of July holiday, Pink and husband Carey Hart took their baby Willow Sage out to the Independence Day parade in Malibu, CA earlier today.
