Fresh off the release of her new album Feels Like Home, Sheryl Crow scored a feature in the latest issue of Parade magazine.
During her Q&A session with the publication, the "Soak Up the Sun" songstress opened up about the album and revealed what other career path she would have chosen.

On Feels Like Home:
"I moved to Nashville almost eight years ago, after I finished breast cancer treatment. My friend Brad Paisley said to me, 'If your records were put out now, they'd be considered country.' He encouraged me and was instrumental in getting me a record deal. I've always written songs with stories, but now they're stronger and in the first person."
On her single "Waterproof Mascara":
"I wanted to make a record about what it's like to be a woman right now, like Tammy [Wynette] and Loretta [Lynn] did. So writing about being a single working mom was important to me."
On other career aspirations:
"I think I'd be a veterinarian because I'm animal crazy. I have 11 horses, two dogs, chickens, donkeys and two Texas longhorn cows. I want to instill in my songs [ages 6 and 3] a love of nature. We're all renting Earth, so we have to talk care of it."

Proving that she?s quite the hands-on mom, Sarah Jessica Parker escorted her twin daughters to school in New York City on Tuesday morning (September 17).
The ?Failure to Launch? star was hard to miss in her colorful striped sweater as she led little Marion and Tabitha by the hand up the Manhattan sidewalk.
And when she?s not handling domestic duties, SJP is all about designing shoes for her forthcoming line with Manolo Blahnik.
Parker explained, "You know that makes a difference, when a shoe isn't well-made, it doesn't smell good. Not that it really matters?but all those details really add up."
"I really wanted to bring back the single sole. What I really wanted to do was give those colors, regardless of the trends, to women in beautiful shapes, and at affordable prices. But still keep the quality. Because if we're talking about a few hundred dollars, those are hard-earned bucks, and they better be good."

Britney Spears made her major announcement onGood Morning America this morning which was just rehashing what everyone already knew. That she’s inked a 2-year, 48 concert deal with Planet Hollywood in Vegas. She’ll be getting paid $15 million for the whole thing and ticket prices are surprisingly affordable at around $59 – $179. She won’t be living in Vegas though a suite on the 52nd floor will be available to her.
“We wanted the environment to be that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they’re in the show with me,” Spears said to GMA’s Sam Champion during the announcement. “I love Vegas. The energy here is really, really good. I’m definitely going to do the greatest hits, but I’m gonna have to put some of my new material in it just to keep it fresh.” The Queen of Pop will put on 50 performances per year.
The rest of the interview was pretty generic and subdued but that’s possibly because she puked on the helicopter ride to Vegas. According to TMZ, she got “sick” on the ride which everyone assumes is vomiting and nausea. Oddly enough, nobody ever thinks it’s diarrhea. Nobody… *tents fingers, poops pants a little*

After canceling her Dublin show with just three hours? advanced notice, LeAnn has managed to be the bravest, most misunderstood, and sickest person in the world and been able to perform at two concerts. Ack! Her hair. As I previewed on Sunday, Sandra Bullock covers the October issue of Vogue. She?s promoting Gravity, which could seriously be an awards-contender this awards season. I wouldn?t mind it at all if Sandra got nominated for some stuff, but we?ll see. As for this Peter Lindbergh photoshoot? it?s pretty except for the hair. I don?t know why they gave her bangs and a bouffant?? My first thought was that they were trying to do a retro ?Astronaut?s Wife? hairstyle, or am I overthinking it? You can read Sandra?s full Vogue interview here ? I?ve just skimmed it, and while it?s interesting, the most interesting quotes are kind of buried at the end.
On Gravity: ?You check it off and go, ?If it ends here, I?ve ended up on top.? There?s nothing else to do.?
After filming Gravity, she did The Heat: ?I need my funny? In comedy you just know right away,? says Bullock. ?Melissa?s pure genius, you know? Everyone was just waiting to see what would come out of that woman?s mouth.?
On The Blind Side: ?I turned it down three, four times,? she says. ?I was so worried about it being a Lifetime movie.? Director John Lee Hancock convinced her otherwise, but the first week of shooting was rocky. At the moment, ?I?m having such an amazing time. Whatever comes our way, we handle as a family. It?s not just me anymore.?

Most of the piece is about Gravity, and it?s becoming increasingly clear that Sandra is positioning herself ? and that she?s being positioned by producers and the studio ? as an awards contender. And Sandra seems ?up? for it this year. She?s matured a lot the past few years, although it?s not like she was ever flaky or immature in the first place. She just seems calmer, less eager to please, more reticent. It will be interesting to see how that plays out when the studio really wants her to campaign.

Giving her fans plenty to get excited about, Britney Spears headed over to ABC Studios in New York City this morning for an appearance on ?Good Morning America.?
The ?Baby One More Time? singer gave a live performance of her new single ?Work B**ch? and made an exciting announcement.
Spears shared that she?ll be kicking off a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, a gig that will land her $30 million when all is said and done.
Britney gushed, "I love Vegas. The energy is really good. I'm going to do my greatest hits, but I'm going to have to put some of my new material in to keep it fresh. I'm definitely ready. I sometimes have training for five hours a day."

I have some bad news, you guys. It seems like The Couple of the Century might have broken up!!! Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne might have split up. I think it?s happening mostly because these breakup rumors have been percolating for a few days and Liz and Shane have yet to deny them or push back in any way. Plus, Shane is in Australia right now and Liz is in England and it doesn?t sound like they have any plans to physically reunite any time soon. NOOOoo!!!
Liz and Shane got together in late 2010, when Liz was still very much married and Shane was? sort of married, but openly fooling around with anyone and everyone. When they got together, Shane was a pudgy Aussie bloke who seemed very sports-oriented and unsophisticated. Liz remade him into some plucked, tucked, Botoxed Ken Doll Escort and their love grew and grew. But now it might be over.
One last tweet is expected from cricket legend Shane Warne and model Liz Hurley ? confirming that they have split up.
The couple, who announced the end of their previous relationships and their engagement to each other on the social network, have not tweeted each other for nearly three weeks.
Warne is currently home in Australia with his family. Hurley is in the UK.
The Mirror spoke to both of their agents about the rift but neither commented on the story, also picked up by Australian media.
The spin bowler, who celebrated his 44th birthday last week, thanked friends and family on Twitter but notably didn?t mention Hurley.
And a few days before, Warne posted the cryptic tweet: ?It?s not what happens in your life, it?s how you react to what life throws at u, in both the good & bad times.?
Hurley also posted a similarly cryptic tweet that raised eyebrows.
Posting a picture of her dog, she said: ?The more I know of man, the more I love my dog. Goodnight from me and Raja.?
Instead of wishing the bowler a happy birthday, Hurley tweeted about how she had ?just spent an hour fixing the alpaca fence?.
Warne?s last tweet to the 47-year-old model was on August 30, in which he apparently made plans to spend a day at the races with her.
The couple split briefly in 2011. They were first linked in December 2010, after being spotted kissing outside a London restaurant.
Hurley announced her marriage to Indian businessman Arun Nayar was over.
Warne revealed on Twitter he and wife Simone had separated.
In 2011, it was reported they were engaged, which they confirmed via Twitter.

Although I do think it?s interesting that everyone agrees that they split up briefly back in 2011 ? this couple is made up of two very high-maintenance people. Well this is anticlimactic. Miley Cyrus covers the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar just as the sh-t finally hits the fan in her personal life. Yesterday afternoon, People announced that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth finally called it quits. Both of their reps confirmed the split. The engagement is off. They’re no longer together. No more ring watch. No more Liam mooching out of Miley’s fridge.
I don’t really have much to say about this breakup other than they seemed like they grew apart. He craves privacy. She loves the spotlight. He might have been banging January Jones. She twerked all over Robin Thicke’s crotch. Now Miley’s Twitter account is surprisingly quiet. Liam is already chatting up random brunettes in Vegas. I feel better now. Don’t you?
Hopefully Miley will be okay. I don’t think she’ll handle this breakup well even though it’s been a long time coming. Let’s move on, shall we? Miley’s Bazaar cover was shot by Terry Richardson. They’re BFFs now after he shot her “Wrecking Ball” video and had her pose in his studio. Uncle Terry also crafted Miley’s a try-hard couture spread for September’s Bazaar. She’s now a Harper’s cover star. The cover and preview are okay, but the interview is disastrous:
Miley brings her own accessories “kit” to shoots: “I never know when I’m going to be like, ‘Photo shoot!’ And need some weird stuff to whip out.” What if there’s a sudden swarm of paparazzi? Or worse: “What if I get to a photo shoot and the stylist just sucks? So I bring my own sh-t.”
Her long road to the top: It’s been a year since “I started trying to take over the world,” she says, unknowingly paraphrasing a comment that Madonna made on American Bandstand nearly three decades ago. (In 1984, asked by Dick Clark what her future plans were, Madonna responded, “To rule the world.”)
Her post-”Hannah Montana” years: “I took off and I just wanted to party. I worked so hard, and I wanted to buy a house and just chill. I was an adult when I was supposed to be a kid. So now I’m an adult and I’m acting like a kid,” she says. There are times when I’m sitting in my big ole house and I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I’m allowed to be here alone.’ I want my house to be the party house!”
A telltale remark about her relationship: “I definitely don’t have time to deal with a wedding right now. But I will at some point.”
More advice for Justin Bieber: “I’m not saying you need to take a break because you’re crazy. I’m saying you need to take a break so you can be crazy, and people aren’t going to judge you. You’re going to do dumb stuff from here on out. But do it in your own time. Do it safely. You can afford to protect yourself and still have fun.”

Her feet are on the ground: “My parents always had money, and I’ve always been around this industry, so I didn’t have my mind blown or become obsessed with being famous. On wearing white: “I feel like every girl is trying to have a beauty shot and prove that they’re ‘fashion.’ But I can be in white leggings and a white sports bra and I’m on a whole other level of sh-t that those girls don’t even get yet because they don’t know how to do it.”
She’s not into acting: “I don’t really care to do anything acting-wise. I want to make all of my music videos so epic that it feels like I’m still involved with acting.”
She hated her Walmart line: “I went in there and saw, like, a puppy on a T-shirt. I was like, ‘This is not what I wanted.’ I wanted skinny jeans, I wanted to bless Walmart with jeggings! Making real stuff with high quality. Not quantity. But not until I know I can give it 120 percent. I don’t want to just slap my name on something.”
The music is what matters: “I’m someone who cares about the real things in life. There are things that are personal that stress me out, but my career? That doesn’t affect me. I know I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing. I’m not scared of anything.”

Where to start? I find it hilarious that Miley thinks she’s on a whole new level because she likes to wear a white sports bra and leggings. She really acts like this outfit is hugely significant, which is the same attitude she holds about all of her actions. All I can think when I see her in that outfit is “period nightmare.”
Good for Miley for getting this Bazaar cover. She won’t be on Vogue’s cover anytime soon, but Bazaar adores her grills. I do have a feeling Elton John is correct — a meltdown is coming, but it might have more to do with her losing the Vogue cover than losing Liam.

Last night was the LA premiere of Thanks For Sharing, the sex addiction rom-com starring Mark Ruffalo. Only Ruffalo didn?t even come to the LA premiere. What?s up, Ruffalo? Didn?t want to be man-handled by Gwyneth Paltrow? As you can see, Goop was there in all of her pristine elitism. I don?t have the designer ID on the dress ? it reminds me of her Tom Ford Oscar dress a few years ago, so maybe it?s Tom Ford. It?s okay. I feel like we?ve seen Goop wear pristine white dresses so many times, so it?s kind of boringly pretty. And Goop?s idea of mixing it up is to do a red lip. Everything else is the same boring old style, down to the flat-ironed 90s hair. Hey, at least she isn’t wearing a minidress or showing her Goop Beav. If anyone finds the designer ID, give me a heads up!
Goop was on Chelsea Lately last night. The interview clip that I just watched was so boring. Chelsea and Goop look so much alike (for real) and they sound alike too. Chelsea ?joked? that Goop is a sex addict and Goop joked, ?Well, basically I was a really normal person, and then I started hanging out with you all the time.” Goop also claimed that for her 41st birthday, her plans were ?Chick-Fil-A and that’s it.? *clutches pearls*

Apparently, there is a new ?It Bag? and it?s not Hermes, nor Marc Jacobs, nor Tom Ford. This year?s It Bag is a $4700 Louis Vuitton, marketed in print ads by Michelle Williams and carried prominently by Angelina Jolie. Can you smell the exclusivity? Even though I would never spend more than $100 on a bag (and even then, it would have to be a special occasion because I?m cheap as hell), I admit that I?ve been skewed by celebrity prices and I didn?t even blanche when I saw that this purse costs $4700. Hey, at least it?s not a $17,000 fug fur Olsen bag.
Against a tide of fakes flooding the market and to avoid being seen on the arm of anyone less than an A-list celebrity, Louis Vuitton have this year made a concerted effort to return to their roots as an exclusive designer brand. And it seems their plan is working as their pricey new Capucine leather handbags are currently the must-have item in their stores across Europe.
Louis Vuitton boutiques in Milan, Paris and London have all reported shortages of the 3,000 Capucine bags since their launch in June. Each store has long waiting lists for the leather bag that comes in a variety of colours and features the designer’s LV initials and monogram flower logo.
At the time of writing, London’s New Bond Street store only had one sample bag with a ‘not for sale’ sticker on and 40 people had already reserved one. But the bags aren’t likely to be available until the end of September or early in October.
Shop assistants said they took delivery of only a handful of Capucine bags every other week over the summer, intimating Louis Vuitton may have deliberately caused the shortage to create a buzz around the product – taking a leaf out of Hermes’ book.
Officially citing production constraints, Hermes is known in the luxury world for its shortages and waiting lists, particularly for its 6,000 to 25,000 Birkin and Kelly bags, which help strengthen the brand’s appeal.
Buzz around the Capucine handbag has also been created after it was seen on the arm of Angelina Jolie last month in L.A. Meanwhile, another A-lister, Michelle Williams, was enlisted to be the face of the campaign to launch the bag.

We can roll our eyes at the marketing of forced exclusivity by these ?shortages? but it probably is a good idea. The real fashionistas will wait and wait for them while the fly-by-night famewhores, C-listers and Real Housewives will still trot out their Birkin bags. But the biggest shock to me is that Angelina Jolie is ahead of the curve! She?s never really shown any interest in having the hottest new look or the coolest It Bag. La Jolie does not follow trends! Which makes me think that part of HER Louis Vuitton contract includes simply being sent the latest LV products and she just took a liking to the bag. Or is she really trying to be trendy?
