J-Lo is packing up one of her fashion lines. Now before you panic, keep in mind this is J-Lo we?re talking about ? she?s got 38 different projects going on at any given time. So rolling up (not out) the red carpet on one of them isn?t the end of the entire world? unless you?re a major J-Lo lover. Then it is near-catastrophe.
J-Lo?s is putting clothing line Sweetface on official pause. It?s not gone forever ? at least that?s the world for now. Instead, the company is calling it quits-ish while they revamp.
The recession has already claimed its faire share of celebrity lines from Mandy Moore?s Mblem to Lauren Conrad?s eponymous clothing line going on hiatus, and now WWD is reporting that Jennifer Lopez is following suit and shuttering the doors on her Sweetface line. After six years, Sweetface is halting production after the spring 2009 line, which is in stores now. Sweetface started in 2003 as a urban streetwear spin-off to the JLO by Jennifer Lopez line, but soon became a high end contemporary line. While Sweetface isn?t over forever ? the company plans to relaunch with a new vision? no date has been set for its return to stores. But if you are a dedicated J. Lo shopper, you are still in luck ? her JLO by Jennifer Lopez line still sells in 40 countries outside of the U.S, and she has six highly successful perfumes with another on the way later this year.

Urban streetwear to high end contemporary is a nice little jump for a clothing line to make. Rather unexpected. It?s strange for a clothing line to basically go on hiatus without giving any good reason except something about a ?new vision.? And that doesn?t even seem to be the reason, just they?re little bit of chatter about the future. Instinct tells me this is it for Sweetface. But you can still buy one of J-Lo?s 37 other lines of stuff.

I have a good dating rule of thumb - it?s a truism I?d like to pass along to all of you. Here goes: ?Never date anyone who has touched Pamela Anderson.? Sometimes the best rules are the simplest. You?d think that would be common sense, really, but smart women have dated men that have touched Pamela all over the place, so some of these women need better girlfriends to tell them the facts of life.
Does Sheryl Crow need new girlfriends? I suspect she might, because the National Enquirer is reporting that after years of hot-and-heavy flirtations, Sheryl and Kid Rock are entering into the first blush of a relationship. This is the same Kid Rock who married Pamela Anderson at like 10 different ceremonies all over the world, then dumped Pamela a couple of months later, allegedly because he was pissed at her ?cameo? in Borat. What the f-ck?
Sheryl and Kid Rock have known each other for the better part of a decade. To Kid?s credit, he seems to always treat Sheryl with respect and he does seem to admire and like her quite a bit. Even though I think his taste in women tends to be more ?Pamela Anderson? than ?Sheryl Crow?, I could kind of see why he would want to date Sheryl. She seems like a cool chick with her act together. So why in the world would she want to get with him?
Kid Rock is rockin? Sheryl Crow?s world again!
The pair turned up the heat - publicly cuddling at the June 16 CMT Music Awards in Nashville.
?They were certainly raising eyebrows,? declared an eyewitness.
Crow, 47, met country rap-rockin? Kid Rock, 38, in 2001 when they teamed up as partners for ?Picture? which became a top 10 hit. During that time the two had a brief fling, claims a friend of Rock - but they kept it secret.
Then in a 2004 interview, Crow denied ever dating the rapper, but added: ?I really love him - he?s a good boy.?
The two went on to other projects, but the embers never quite cooled, revealed Rock?s pal, who says the two occasionally enjoy hush-hush get-togethers in Nashville.

Bridget Marquardt revealed to FOX about what went on at Kendra Wilkinson’s bachelorette party which took place Thursday night in Hollywood. It wasn’t as raunchy as hoped. There was no naked Twister or finding out which Playboy model kissed the best naked. No, it was a little more tame.
“There are two games that are kind of raunchy,” she said, explaining that a certain sex toy will be passed between the legs and if you are caught when the music stops you?re out.
“The other one is just a story-telling game! When you give Kendra her present you have to tell about how old you were when it was your first time, who it was with and where you were ?” Marquardt added.

First Ed McMahon and now Farrah Fawcett. This is turning into a bad week for celebrities. Earlier, Fawcett’s rep tweeted that she was given her last rites and that she was not in pain.
It is now being reported that Farrah lost her battle with cancer and died this Thursday morning at 9:28 at the St. John’s Health Center in LA. Farrah’s only child, Redmond, could not be by her side because he’s in jail although Ryan O’Neal and Alana Stewart were there. Ryan and Fawcett did not marry as planned in her final days. Ryan released this statement:
“After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world.”
It’s about time we do something about that cancer. It’s always causing trouble. I blame its mother.

Although it’s been rumored that she’s been on her deathbed for weeks, actress Farrah Fawcett was read her last rights Wednesday night. The NY Daily News reports
A priest was summoned [last night] to the Los Angeles hospital where the 62-year-old is being treated.
Those keeping vigil in the intensive care unit included longtime love Ryan O’Neal, who has been with [her] constantly since she was hospitalized two weeks ago.
The actress was diagnosed with [anal] cancer in 2006.
Risk factors for anal cancer include having multiple sex partners, engaging in anal sex and smoking cigarettes, so by all accounts I should have been dead five years ago. I guess I’m what you’d call a “miracle of science.” You have to admit, it sounds a whole lot better than “dirty no-good whore.” My mom doesn’t know what the hell she’s talking about.
UPDATE I: People Magazine is reporting that Farrah died at 9:28 a.m. PST this morning at St. John’s Heath Center in Santa Monica. Our condolences to her family.
UPDATE II: Astute reader Helluvadrug pointed out that half of these pictures are actually Bo Derek. In my defense, the pictures are 30 years old and really grainy and I’ve been drinking since 9 a.m. And they still have boobs, so don’t yell at me. I hate it when we fight like this.

The National Enquirer?s gossip guy, Mike Walker, has a thing about Miley Cyrus. He always has some piece of gossip about her, and the way he writes about her is a little? ?Dateline: Predator?. That being said, I do believe Walker gets some of this stuff right, like the whole story about how Billy Ray Cyrus really wanted Miley to stay with 20-year-old John-Lennon-song molester Justin Gaston, and how Billy Ray would do anything to keep them together. I bought that story. Especially since it seems like Miley rather unceremoniously dumped Justin and took up with Nick Jonas two second later.
Which brings me to Walker?s latest Miley gossip. His sources are telling him that Miley has expressed to friends how happy she is that she remained ?pure? when she was with Justin. The same Justin who practically lived with Miley and slept in her bedroom. The same Miley who just this week was posing like a stripper for her latest director. That Miley.
PURE AND SIMPLE DEPT.: Miley Cyrus telling BFF?s she?s soooo glad she never got too physical with 20-year-old ex-beau Justin Gaston.
Despite all her ?I?m a big girl now? posturing, Miley?s saying she remained ?pure? during their 10-month romance.

The fact that Miley is with Nick Jonas now is what makes me think there could be a sliver of truth to Miley?s reported virginity. While Miley?s ?purity? may be in question (in my mind), Nick?s is not. That boy looks terrified that someday his mother?s threats of some girl seducing him might come true. Let me just say this - I don?t reallycare if Miley is a virgin. It?s her business, and her business alone. It?s not about her father, her boyfriend, her ex-boyfriend or Mike Walker. I hate to even discuss this stuff, because I think the discussion of virginity increases the gross fetish quality. That being said, people wouldn?t talk about it so much if people like Miley and the Jonas Brothers didn?t make it such a big deal.

Who’s Harvii you ask? He’s the unfortunately dressed kid who tried to give Megan Fox a rose during the London premiere of Transformers. As you’ll remember, Megan made swift work of his heart.
Yesterday, Kodak, who knows a good publicity stunt when it sees one, offered a $5,000 reward to anyone who could track the kid down. They wanted to fly him out and settle this unfinished business with Megan. They promised to even provide him with a Kodak camera to capture the moment. How thoughtful. It took about a day to find him on Facebook.
Apparently, the kid’s name is Harvii. He loves Twilight, Confessions of a Shopoholic and Miley Cyrus. His last status update was “Megan Fox wants to meet me, jus [sic] got 20 freind [sic] requests in 1 day!”
Oh, he thinks he’s sooo special. Well, you know what? Kodak promised to fly me out to meet Megan Fox too. Except, the Kodak in my story was a bearded, leather clad biker wearing ass-less chaps I met on Yahoo and meeting Megan Fox was just a ploy to get me to drive out to his place near a rest stop off the side of the 5. What? Shut up! I don’t want to talk about it.

These are some nice, funny pictures of Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston filming some exterior scenes for their movie Bounty Hunter in Atlantic City. Is it just me, or does it seem like the same car from Thelma & Louise? The exteriors look like the beginning of Thelma & Louise too - weird.
Most of the set pictures are now of Aniston, after we got some lovely pictures of Gerard the past few weeks. Before Aniston started filming Gerry was seen in a series of lovely white and blue shirts that accentuated his delicious arms. Gerry was even joking around with the paparazzi in between shooting his scenes - thus the unfortunate (but hilarious) revelation that Gerry might have romanced poultry in his youth.
Before filming started, there were some rumors that Bounty Hunter was just a tepid version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. But after looking at these pictures of Aniston and Gerry, I suspect Bounty Hunter will have more of comedic flavor - take, for example, those pictures of Aniston pulling a rickshaw. Seriously?
I?m sure there will be rumors of a romance between Aniston and Butler - in fact, those rumors already started and stopped a few months ago when they were allegedly hooking up in New York. But they will begin anew as we get more pictures of them working together. So what of Aniston?s ?new romance? with Bradley Cooper? Will there be a new uncool Bermuda triangle? I sincerely hope Aniston sticks to her thing with Bradley - who just claimed yesterday that they were ?just friends? - and that Aniston stays off my boyfriend Gerard Butler. To be fair to Aniston - I don?t like it when he?s with any woman. I?m starting to think he might have bad taste in women. Which gives me hope.

Reese Witherspoon has been in Washington, DC the past few weeks filming How Do You Know, a film written and directed by one of my favorite writer/directors of all time, James L. Brooks. Brooks is known as an all-around great guy to work with and for, and his best known films include As Good As It Gets, Broadcast News (one of my favorite films of all time), and Terms of Endearment.
While seemingly solo in Washington, Reese was running all over town with her bitchface permanently intact. But her boyfriend/fiance/whatever Jake Gyllenhaal finally came for a visit, and suddenly the bitchface disappeared! Hurray! These are pictures of Jake and Reese looking all lovey-dovey around town. Sigh. They really do look happy. Sometimes I do wonder if they?re for real - most days I think they are.
How Do You Know has Reese working with Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, and James Brooks? favorite, Jack Nicholson. I wonder if Reese and Jack have any scenes together. I wonder if they will even get along - Reese is not Jack?s kind of girl. Jack?s kind of girl is someone like Sienna Miller. I bet they?d get along famously. But I?d also guess that Reese is so much of a professional, she?s probably on her best behavior when she?s around a living legend like Jack. Perhaps she can introduce Jack to Jake. I can’t even imagine what those two would have to say to each other. Jack would probably make a Brokeback joke. Oh, no. That wouldn’t be pretty.

Looks like MTV picked up the Mark Burnett produced Audrina Patridge show creatively titled “The Audrina Show.” Audrina will be leaving The Hills this fall at the end of the fifth season to begin work on it. The show will focus on her personal and professional life. Somewhat intriguing because neither Audrina’s personal or professional life seems interesting. Here’s what NYDN started their report with:
Audrina Patridge, whose sexy stare has made her a hit on MTV?s ?The Hills,? is gazing into the future, and what she sees is a new reality show to be produced by Mark Burnett.
I can’t help but think the NYDN is being a little facetious. Her sexy stare? What’s so sexy about it? The fact that when you stare into her soulless, child-like eyes you feel sorry that she was born five miles from Chernobyl? They must be confusing sexy with pity.

I have no idea if this is a genuine interview or some third-hand tabloid account in which these quotes are attributed to Angelina Jolie. I think it?s probably from a small interview Angelina may have given the British OK! Magazine, and now comes to us via My Fashion Life. The quotes sound like Angelina though - which is why I think this was at some point part of a legitimate interview. Angelina is talking about her fashion. In my opinion, Angelina?s fashion sense is at best okay and at worst, boring and a bit too old for her. I was sorely disappointed with many of the dresses Angelina wore during the awards season this year, because she seemed to be dressing in just an endless string of glittery sacks. Part of the reason I adored the tight black column dress she eventually wore to the Oscars was that it wasn?t baggy, ill-fitting, or old-lady-ish.
Angelina admits that she doesn?t put too much thought into her red carpet fashion, and that she has ?three basic colors and I get the same shapes in different colors!? Yeah, Angie, we noticed. We also noticed that one of your colors is beige. You need to stop that - it washes you out:

Am I being too harsh on Angelina?s style? She?s never been, say, a Nicole Kidman. Meaning that I think Nicole really cares about fashion, and she uses the red carpet to create drama and buzz. Angelina doesn?t - I think she?s missing the ?fashion diva? gene, bless her heart. While I don?t always care for Angelina?s red carpet style, I do like her ?everyday? style. In her everyday life, she seems to favor great pants, pencil skirts, simple blouses, sweaters, and some of the best coats ever. In her everyday life, she usually looks comfortable and classic.

Last week, People Magazine got the honor of officially declaring Gisele Bundchen pregnant. The general consensus is that when People says it (and I?m paraphrasing Jaybird), it?s like the People editors are holding the pregnancy test in their hands. People?s sources even gave a vague due date, saying that Gisele would give birth sometime?early next year?. In this week?s new Life & Style magazine, however, they?re claiming that Gisele?s baby is due in December. December 14th, to be exact. Suffice to say, when Life & Style prints something, it?s like the editor is just jotting down bullsh-t in the toilet.
Gisele sat down for an television and web interview with Brazil?s Fantastico. You can see the interview here, but you?ll need a translator. But there are two bonuses - first, Gisele?s voice is quite nice when she?s speaking in her mother tongue - while her English is very good, her voice is different (and annoying) when she?s speaking English. She sounds a lot better on Fantastico. Secondly, her face has started to fill out, and she actually looks adorable with rosy pregnancy cheeks.
People has a translation of some of the highlights from the interview. Gisele talks mostly about how she is ?crazy about children? (I believe that) and how she?s totally head-over-heels in love with Tom (those are the hormones talking). She calls Tom her ?big husband? which could just be a weird translation. Another weird translation - I think - is when she refers to herself as baby John Moynahan?s ?adoptive mother?. Um? no, Gisele, you are his step-mom, not his adoptive mother. Pregnant with her first child, supermodel Gisele Bundchen is focusing on family and home life these days.
“I am crazy about children … I am an adoptive mother … I’ve already had this experience for two years,” she says in a recent TV interview with Brazil’s Fantastico, of her relationship with husband Tom Brady?s 21-month-old son John Brady, whose mother is actress Bridget Moynahan.
Bndchen also raves about getting hitched this past Spring. “I think I’ve met the right person, my partner, my companion,” she says. “I already knew that we would get married a year and a half before we got married. We felt it. The heart spoke louder.”
When the heart speaks, priorities change, she adds. “Before … I had to go out, had to work. Now I think about it twice, three times, four times. So I only do the things that I really want to do,” Bndchen says. “I prefer to stay at home. The big husband wins. Because of this relationship, what is most important to me is the family. Now I am creating my other family.”
And, in addition to preparing for her new baby, she wants to prepare … dinner. Says Bndchen, who turns 29 in July, “I am Cancer. I want to stay at home, cooking, relaxing. You have to follow the heart.”

Gisele usually plucks my last nerve, but I find myself hoping she stays safe and stays happy with Tom. That was her plan all along - all of these celebrity women become more popular when they get knocked up. The moms amongst us feel sorry for what she?s going through during her pregnancy, and the child-free amongst us have a great time seeing all of the weight she gains. I have a feeling that Gisele is going to have a Heidi Klum-type pregnancy? meaning, Gisele is just going to look prettier pregnant. Because that?s just how the cookie crumbles.

One of my most well-documented peeves is any kind of doctor who will give named quotes ?diagnosing? a celebrity that the doctor has never met. I?ve said it before - I find the whole thing unethical and simply cheap. So I take this latest report with a certain amount of angst - and yet I find myself agreeing, at least partially, with the doctor who is giving Cameron Diaz an armchair-diagnosis.
Is it any secret that Cameron has had a prolonged battle with her skin? It?s not just the normal young-starlet excess-sunbathing sun damage, Cameron?s skin often looks totally wrecked. Adult acne, psoriasis, all of the bad stuff seems to effect Cameron. Well, there?s this random doctor (Dr. Reese) who has given a bunch of quotes about Cameron and her skin issues - Dr. Reese even gives out ?awards? to ?celebrities with bad pocks, pimples, zits and scars.? Dr. Reese has some unsolicited medical advice for Cameron - and if she doesn?t follow it, Dr. Reese will ?award? her the dishonor of a Bad Skin Lifetime Achievement.
Cameron Diaz is battling another skin condition - a top doctor has spotted a nasty case of psoriasis just below her right elbow. The itch is known as ‘heartbreak’ by dermatologists, because it doesn’t clear easily and can come back.
Diaz dared to bare her arms as she unveiled her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday and eagle-eyed bystanders could clearly see the actress isn’t all perfect.
In fact, celebrity skin expert Dr. Vail Reese has been scrutinising Cameron’s scabs and pimples for years and he insists the ringworm on her arm is just the latest in a long line of pigment problems for the actress.
He says, “After battling acne for years, yet another skin condition to deal with! She has also suffered with facial pigmentation issues and sun overexposure.”
But all is not lost - Dr. Reese, who serves up his Skinnies dishonours annually to celebrities with bad pocks, pimples, zits and scars, insists Cameron’s latest itch is easily treated. He adds, “Though she is not my patient, it looks she has a form of psoriasis, that’s showing some clearance in the center portion.?
Psoriasis is a pesky form of non contagious inflammation.
“Treatment for small areas involves prescription topical cortisone creams and vitamin D creams. Extensive psoriasis can be treated with injectable anti-inflammatory medicines called biologics. Since they suppress the immune system and can increase the risk of infections, those tend to be reserved for wider areas.”
But, if Diaz doesn’t get her latest skin issue cleared up quickly, she could land the ultimate dishonour on Dr. Reese’s Skinnies list: “With her history of acne and everything else and now this, this may be her year for a Lifetime Achievement award!”

I remember an interview several years ago where Cameron said that she broke out the more stressed she was - I was like that in college, but thankfully, my skin got so much better in my twenties. However, I still battle mild psoriasis to this day. Even right now, I have a weird, itchy, dry, screwed-up patch of skin on my hip that just appeared a week ago. When I broke out in a really bad way several years ago, a doctor prescribed a course of oral anti-inflammatories that did nothing. I?ve always found that a rigorous course of Aloe-based products plus daily cortisone does wonders, but Dr. Reese?s injection suggestion intrigues me. Since I think Cameron is worse off than me, I?m thinking that she should listen to Dr. Reese?s armchair diagnosis - not that she should actually go to him. God, no. He sounds like a douche. But she should look into some of this stuff with a really good dermatologist. And she should stop spending so much time in the sun. Just my diagnosis, Cameron!

We were having the debate earlier this week as to whether Katie Holmes is pregnant again, or if she?s just bloaty, slouchy and a bad dresser. If she is pregnant, I feel really bad for her, because she?s got a couple of strenuous projects lined up for the next few months. If she?s knocked up, I?d imagine she?ll be sick as a dog. Of course, she already tends to look like a zombie Stepford wife with no fashion sense. So “sick as a dog” might be an improvement.
Before Katie, Tom and Suri fly off to Australia so that Katie can film a creepy thriller, the rumor is still going strong that she?ll appear in an episode of ?So You Think You Can Dance? Granted, it?s a hit show on Fox. The downside is that Katie used to be a promising actress? and now she?ll be guest-starring on a dance reality show. No fears! MSNBC?s The Scoop has the ?real reason? why Katie has signed onto the dance show: because Tom Cruise really wants Katie to do a tribute to Judy Garland. Hand to God! Tom Cruise loves some Judy Garland. Cough cough of course he does cough.
The reasoning behind a Katie Holmes? song-and-dance tribute to Judy Garland is a bit more complicated, though. This is the year of the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, and MGM is doing a lot to promote the reissue or something. MGM and Tom Cruise are tight? so Katie is doing a Judy tribute to be a good wife. Or something. JUDY!!
When you?re Katie Holmes and you?re spotted walking around the studio lot of ?So You Think You Can Dance,? wearing an outfit that looks hijacked from the set of ?Fosse,? word will spread quickly.
Holmes has yet to confirm her ?SYTYCD? participation, and Fox is steadfast with a ?no comment? response, but several sources say that you can expect Holmes to both sing and dance on the reality show.
?She?ll be doing a Judy Garland tribute,? says a source who became close to Holmes when she performed in ?All My Sons? on Broadway last fall.
The logical follow-up question is: Why would Holmes want to be part of the show? One theory: she?s playing the part of the good wife.
It?s the 70th anniversary of the iconic Judy Garland film ?The Wizard of Oz,? which is an MGM property (and here?s where it becomes complex ? stay with me). MGM and Holmes’ hubby, Tom Cruise, are closely linked since the studio was behind the resurrection of Cruise?s production company, United Artists.
MGM, which isn?t a runaway financial success right now, has high sales expectations for the ?Wizard of Oz: 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector?s Edition? DVD, which comes out this September.
Cruise doesn?t have any films from United Artists in theaters any time soon, so the pressure is on for him to contribute to the bottom line. One way to drum up publicity: have Holmes help where she can.
?It?s a lot of dots to connect, but for one, she?s his biggest cheerleader, and she had her eye on the Weinstein Company?s Judy Garland project, but (the role) went to Anne Hathaway,? said another source. ?She has talked about doing musical theater for some time now. And even though it feels strange that she?d do ?So You Think You Can Dance,? it could be good for the next phase of her career.?
Holmes? performance, which MGM says is not a promotional one to benefit the studio, is expected to air later this summer, but there?s no official air date yet.

Is any of this true? Perhaps, but I find that the thread connecting the rationale (Katie Holmes to Tom Cruise to MGM to Judy Garland to So You Think You Can Dance?) a bit confusing. I think it?s much more likely that Katie just likes to dance and be girly, and she thought the whole thing would be really fun. F-ck it, it gets her out of the house, you know? A woman can?t live by Xenu and barley water alone.

Amanda Bynes is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. The hot actress is seen here on the set of “Easy A.” I totally just typed”sex” in that last sentence. What a Freudian slip! Amanda is totally a hottie with those long, sexy legs of hers, and the rest of her ain’t too bad either. I’ve always secretly loved her entire package. I find it unfair that I have to rummage through the garbage to double check if I inadvertently threw away any edible food while Denise Richards gets to run around the beach playing with a huge blue parrot. If you looked at her resume, you’d just see variations of “in a bikini” on there like “was in a bikini on the beach,” “was in a bikini on TV,” “was only in a bikini bottom making out with a girl in a movie.” Yet, somehow she’s a superstar while here I am deciding which white shirt I’d like to wear today.
