Last year, we read all those splashy reports that New York-based celeb couple Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were in trouble. There were reports that Matthew was cheating; reports that Matthew refused to go to couples’ counseling; reports that Sarah Jessica was lonely and ignored, and was only staying in the relationship because of their son, James. The couple combatted those reports by being seen in public all over the place - at film and play openings, walking together near their home, holding hands and kissing. But the rumor mill is at it again. This latest buzz is that the divorce is already in progress, and their lawyers and PR reps are keeping quiet about it until it’s finished.
The sad news has been confirmed through a reliable West Village, New York source.
Sex and the City star, Sarah Jessica Parker, and her husband of nearly 12 years, Matthew Broderick are in the process of getting a divorce.
The couple, who were married in May 1997, have one child, James, 6.
I love these two together and am totally bummed about the break-up! They were both cool geeks in the 80s. Broderick with Ferris Bueller and Parker in Square Pegs. They just seemed like a natural fit.
Both have denied a divorce is in the works, and it seems their people are doing a good job of keeping quiet about it. But you heard it here, first. They?re officially dunzo.

I guess there’s only one way to know for sure if this one is true: wait for the impending announcement. This seems all too familiar - the end of Guy Ritchie and Madonna’s marriage played out this same way: months of denial, a unified front for the press, then, finally an official announcement followed by a lightning-speed divorce settlement. I hope it’s not true for Sarah Jessica and Matthew. I may be in the minority, but I’m rooting for them to make it.

Rumors persist about Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson. Multiple tabloid sources are claiming that the couple is still very much together, and now planning a wedding. Kate and Owen allegedly decided to stay in France for several weeks on a little romantic holiday, where Owen may or may not have asked her to marry him.
But where?s the ring? Ah, there?s a source who claims ?Kate and Owen don’t feel the need for flashy engagement rings.? Who said anything about ?flashy?? Just a simple diamond for a simple girl, hippie. So where will they get married, and when? Maybe in June, and perhaps in Hawaii, where Owen has a sun-kissed man-cave. Or perhaps Goldie Hawn?s Aspen home, but that seems unlikely. Kate got married to her first husband at the same Aspen home, why would she want to go back to the same nuptial-cursed place?

The on-again, off-again couple decided to stay ‘on’ for good whilst on a romantic holiday in France.
A source says they’re planning to go through with the nuptials in June.
“They realised how devoted they are to each other. They don’t want to ever be apart again. Kate and Owen don’t feel the need for flashy engagement rings.”
Apparently they’re still deciding whether to hold the wedding at Kate’s mum Goldie Hawn’s place in Aspen or Owen’s home in Hawaii.

I don?t really buy that Owen and Kate are engaged, but I?d bet they?ve talked about marriage and at least considered it. They keep coming back to each other, there must be something substantial there. Something that can be built upon, but Owen may be too fragile still.
Speaking of Owen?s alleged (or real) fragility, Ted Casablanca at E! claims that Owen and Cameron Diaz were maybe hooking up in Florida recently. I don?t believe anything that comes out of Ted Casablanca’s keyboard, but the report is here is you feel like wasting time.

According to the Daily Mail, Katie Price (I think that’s what she likes to be called nowadays) was invited to have lunch with the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace. The palace regularly sets up luncheons with guest lists including “people representing a cross-section of society, the arts, sport, academia and the media.” Where exactly does Katie fall in here? Too classless for society, too trashy for the arts, too slutty for sports, and too dumb for academia.
The invitation came on the heels of Katie being barred from a presigious VIP champagne luncheon at a polo match because she was “too chavvy.”
A year ago she was barred from the prestigious Cartier International Polo contest at Windsor because she was deemed ‘too chavvy’.
But topless model turned TV star Katie ‘Jordan’ Price may have had the last laugh - an invitation to dine at Buckingham Palace, no less.
Miss Price claimed yesterday that she was asked to lunch at the royal residence. Unfortunately she was forced to turn it down because she and her husband, singer Peter Andre, are in America filming a reality television series.
But sources close to the star say she is a big fan of the Queen and is hopeful of receiving another invitation sometime soon.

Katie claims that she and Princess Anne have a shared love of horses, and she has also gotten an invite to the her home for some tea and crumpets. She says, “Even Princess Anne knows how much I love horses and has invited me to her house to watch polo. I’ll definitely go for lunch with her, so my Princess can meet a real-life princess.”
Last we saw Katie, she was getting smashed at a pub while training for the London marathon. Not the kind of behavior that gets you invited to the royal palace. On the other hand, in recent years British royalty has been trying to become more accessible to the public, and there was quite a bit of hooplah about Katie’s non-invite to the polo event, so perhaps this is some kind of damage control. That is, if Katie is telling the truth. It’s not as if she is lacking in funds - you’d think that she’d be able to hop a plane to the UK for a day. Wouldn’t dining with the Queen be worth the jet lag?

Much like the fainting goat, Angelina Jolie stiffened up and collapsed on the set of her latest movie Salt. Producers say she’s fine and doctors have cleared her, but friends say she’s overworked and exhausted.
”She’s just doing too much,” a longtime associate of Jolie said Tuesday. ”Angie’s trying to be a supermom, a superstar actress and a super partner [to Brad Pitt] — and it’s just getting overwhelming.”
They add that Angelina is way too thin. Thinner than what Angelina considers thin. Which is thin. Trust them. She’s also been skipping meals and opting for diet shakes instead.
I know how Angelina feels. If I even have to go downstairs to fix myself a sandwich, I need a 10 minute cool down before I can even undo the twist-tie for the bread. I can’t imagine giving the six children she has hands-on care and filming a movie. If it were up to me, I’d lock the kids in a closet before leaving for work. Oh and I’d give them a bowl of water in case they get thirsty. I’m not a complete monster, okay?

A staffer for Columbia Nashville, the division of Sony Music… responsible for releasing Jessica’s most recent album, told us that Jessica Simpson has now “come off the label.”
Her latest single, Pray Out Loud, has failed to chart, [and] her winter tour supporting Rascal Flatts has been something of a rocky one, with several shows having been marked by fumbled songs, do overs and booing crowds.
Jessica’s rep tells OK! that she “is and has always been an Epic artist. She was on loan to Sony Nashville for her country album. She continues to be on Epic’s label.”
Geez. The only thing that’s ever crashed and burned faster than Jessica Simpson’s career wound up scrap metal at the bottom of the Florida Everglades. Desperate times call for desperate measures, people. And by “desperate measures” I of course mean “sex tape.” It’s really the only shot she’s got left.

Megan had previously been living in Brian’s apartment, and was seen moving out during a recent low point in their relationship. But now that they are back together, they have decided to purchase a beach view apartment together in Santa Monica.
The ‘Transformers’ actress has fuelled rumours she has reconciled with ‘Beverly Hills, 90210? actor Brian after they were spotted looking at apartments in California’s Santa Monica area.
A source said: “Megan wanted great ocean views because she loves the beach and spotting dolphins. And they said they needed several bedrooms and lots of privacy.”
Although the couple are back together, Megan wasn’t wearing her engagement ring while viewing properties.
The 22-year-old actress split from Brian, 35, in February amid reports their three-year relationship had “run its course”.
Just days later they reconciled after deciding they couldn’t be apart.

The couple is reportedly going to counseling to get through their rough patch, and I’m not sure if buying a place together is the best move when you’re unsure about your relationship. On a related note, Megan has expressed her desire to become a more serious actress (though who can take her seriously after the Transformer movies)?

Way to show up your sister, Kim Kardashian. Even though that dress kind of makes her look fat, Kim looked ten times better than her sister last night. Her insanely huge rack which takes up the whole shot accounts for that. While Kim was looking attractive, Kourtney was just stood there with a fug Jennifer Aniston thing going on, oblivious to her relative averageness.
When the valet arrived with their car, he didn’t even notice Kourtney and ran her over. You could tell Kim was concerned because she stepped over her lifeless body without using it as a floormat to wipe her feet on.

Hugh Jackman is “heartbroken” by the leak of a work print of his upcoming movie Wolverine. The same work print that Roger Friedman of Fox 411 downloaded, partially reviewed and was terminated for. The FBI and the MPAA have vowed to apprehend whoever made it available online, but as of yet, have made no progress despite the identifiers inserted into the film.
Hugh says this is akin to a Ferrari without a paint job, but doesn’t think this will affect actual attendance. He said this after being lowered from a helicopter on an aerial wire.
Whatever. If Gore Verbinski has taught me anything, it’s that you can’t catch a pirate. Even if you are given three chances. Plus, the MPAA doesn’t even understand what a computer is. To them, it’s a magical box that steals their money. If you asked them how one works, they’ll tell you that about 30 gnomes cast under a spell are stuffed inside to do whatever you command them to do. They’re still cursing at the mailman because he hasn’t delivered the e-mail reply his son said he sent him last week.

Hugh Jackman’s much-anticipated action film Wolverine is due for release on May 1. The film is still undergoing editing and isn’t ready yet for viewing, but someone managed to get their hands on a copy and put it online in unfinished condition. Fox News entertainment columnist Roger Friedman brought attention to this by positively reviewing the illegal version in his now-canceled column Fox411, saying how easy it was to obtain along with other pirated media online. Friedman’s review was swiftly removed and he was canned by Fox, which counts Wolverine’s distribution company, 20th Century Fox, among its sister companies.
Jackman has addressed the illegal distribution of his upcoming film and expresses remorse that people are seeing a version that’s not ready. He likens it to “a Ferrari without a paint job.”:
“It’s a serious crime and there’s no doubt it’s very disappointing ? I was heartbroken by it,” Hugh Jackman said Wednesday about last week’s Internet leak of a work print of his X-Men Origins: Wolverine. “Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It’s like a Ferrari without a paint job.”
While Wolverine is set for official release on May 1, its studio, 20th Century Fox, says the FBI and the Motion Picture Association of America were investigating who might have pirated it and have promised to prosecute the culprits.
As part of a world tour to promote the movie, Jackman, 40, previewed about 20 minutes to about 600 fans in Sydney, Australia, and said he didn’t think the Web leak would harm eventual cinema attendance, the Associated Press reports. The star made his entrance from a helicopter ? and then to the ground on an aerial wire.

Jackman is probably right and this film is likely to be a blockbuster no matter what, but it’s got to be frustrating to all of the people involved to have their hard work put out there before it’s complete. You often hear about the monetary cost of pirating but there is also all that effort people put into it, which can seem in vain when a movie gets out before it’s complete. Still you understand the primal urge to see this film before it’s out - it has Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber in it! That’s just too much hotness at once. The movie-going public is bound to agree.

Lindsay Lohan was finally dumped by Samantha Ronson over the weekend and after burying her face in her hands for a day or so, she went to Us Weekly to do a cover story. That’s step four of the healing process in case you were wondering.
Lohan says her split with Sam over the weekend, where Ronson hired five security guards to keep her out of a JCPenny event, was “humiliating” and “absolute hell.”
“Everyone’s turned on me,” says the actress. She tells the magazine that the night of the Chateau showdown, Nicole Richie walked by her and said “Uck,” and Drea De Matteo said, “Come at me, bitch.”
To have Nicole Richie, a girl who weighed 50 pounds on her best day, say “uck” to you is sad. That’s like a blind homeless guy giving you change because you’re so pathetic.
Don’t worry though. Lindsay says those rumors about her threatening to kill herself aren’t true. She still has PEOPLE and OK! Magazine lined up after all.

Lindsay Lohan did what any girl who had just been dumped and publicly humiliated would do — she called a tabloid magazine to discuss the breakup at length. According to Us Weekly
“It’s absolute hell,” Lohan [said] in a far-ranging interview over several lengthy phone calls where she was both agitated [and] crying. “The worst night of my life. I’m not a bad person and this is what happens. Everyone’s turned on me.”

I agree. The whole situation is sick. At least the part involving Samantha Ronson’s vagina, anyway. I bet it looks like a couple of clam strips that spent the last six months pickling in a big jar of brine and broiling under a heat lamp, all shriveled and dehydrated and curled up on themselves like really long flesh-colored raisins. Lindsay Lohan and her big black-rimmed doe eyes are on the cover of this week’s Us Weekly, looking pitiful. Inside, the magazine promises to have the details of several emotional interviews with the actress, who recently split with Sam Ronson, her partner of over a year. Lindsay tells US that she’s going through “hell” after the breakup, that all her friends have turned on her, and that she’s “really hurt.”
In the newest issue of Us Weekly, Lindsay Lohan opens up about her heartbreaking split from Samantha Ronson, the “humiliating” weekend showdown with Ronson’s family, and says that friends’ fears she is suicidal are unfounded.
“It’s absolute hell,” Lohan told Us on Monday in a far-ranging interview over several lengthy phone calls and emails where she was both agitated, crying and baffled by the turn of events.
Ronson broke it off with her girlfriend of nearly two years last Friday, and hired five security guards to keep Lohan out of an afterparty for her sister Charlotte at the Chateau Marmont.
“The worst night of my life,” Lohan — who was staying directly one floor above the Ronsons with her mom Dina and sister Ali — tells Us.
The next day, Ronson changed the locks on the Hollywood Hills home she shared with Lohan. On Monday, Ronson’s mom and sister asked police about obtaining a restraining order against Lohan, Beverly Hills Sgt. Nutall confirms to Us.
“I’m not a bad person and this is what happens,” Lohan told Us through tears. “I was raised to treat people well, and I’m so tired of this drama.”
Lohan says she’s “so alone” without Ronson.
“Everyone’s turned on me,” says the actress. She tells the magazine that the night of the Chateau showdown, Nicole Richie walked by her and said “Uck,” and Drea De Matteo said, “Come at me, bitch.”
“I’m a f–king 22-year-old girl who’s in love,” she says. “I felt like I was in Mean Girls, but worse: Mean Girls was a movie.”
Sources tell the magazine Ronson had repeatedly tried to break up with Lohan over the past month, but each time, “Lindsay threatens to kill herself — she cares about her but wants out.”
Lohan laughs upon hearing that, saying she’s okay.
“I’m just really hurt!” she says. “The whole situation is sick.”

If Lindsay Lohan is broke, she has no one to blame but herself. She didn’t have to lead a Hollywood lifestyle and waste tons of cash on expensive hotels, jewelry, and designer goods. You always see her shopping at the most exclusive stores and yet she continues to look like she just rolled out of bed. Surely she could achieve that hastily put together orange look at a much cheaper price. She can turn it around, though, if she curtails her spending and starts focusing on change.
Lohan isn’t doing herself any favors by blabbing to US Weekly about how hurt she is. She’s probably trying to air her feelings in an attempt to let Sam know how much she hurt her. It also sounds like she’s hoping that she’ll win her back. It’s not a good idea to let a recent ex know that you’re miserable and hurting, though, and she should have kept quiet about it. She’s also sabotaging the meager chances she has to act again by continuing to play out her personal problems in the media. It’s really sad to see how this young girl has squandered millions and ruined a promising career. That’s fitting that she brought up Mean Girls, because it could be the movie she’s always remembered for if she continues on this path.
Meanwhile RadarOnline reports that Lindsay was seen out at a club downing vodka straight from the bottle - with her mother sitting right there at the same table witnessing everything and not trying to stop her.

But Tom and Katie are insane for dishing out that kind of money when Suri isn?t even three years old yet. What about some of cheaper classes at the YWCA? Don?t those kids? play groups cost next to nothing to join? Wouldn?t tutors be better when Suri is just a little bit older?
Considering the original source for this story is the National Enquirer, it could all be doubtful. But don?t Tom and Katie strike you as the kind of parents who would spent thousands of dollars on Suri?s pre-education?

Hugh Jackman’s much-anticipated action film Wolverine is due for release on May 1. The film is still undergoing editing and isn’t ready yet for viewing, but someone managed to get their hands on a copy and put it online in unfinished condition. Fox News entertainment columnist Roger Friedman brought attention to this by positively reviewing the illegal version in his now-canceled column Fox411, saying how easy it was to obtain along with other pirated media online. Friedman’s review was swiftly removed and he was canned by Fox, which counts Wolverine’s distribution company, 20th Century Fox, among its sister companies.
Jackman has addressed the illegal distribution of his upcoming film and expresses remorse that people are seeing a version that’s not ready. He likens it to “a Ferrari without a paint job.”:
“It’s a serious crime and there’s no doubt it’s very disappointing ? I was heartbroken by it,” Hugh Jackman said Wednesday about last week’s Internet leak of a work print of his X-Men Origins: Wolverine. “Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It’s like a Ferrari without a paint job.”
While Wolverine is set for official release on May 1, its studio, 20th Century Fox, says the FBI and the Motion Picture Association of America were investigating who might have pirated it and have promised to prosecute the culprits.
As part of a world tour to promote the movie, Jackman, 40, previewed about 20 minutes to about 600 fans in Sydney, Australia, and said he didn’t think the Web leak would harm eventual cinema attendance, the Associated Press reports. The star made his entrance from a helicopter ? and then to the ground on an aerial wire.

Jackman is probably right and this film is likely to be a blockbuster no matter what, but it’s got to be frustrating to all of the people involved to have their hard work put out there before it’s complete. You often hear about the monetary cost of pirating but there is also all that effort people put into it, which can seem in vain when a movie gets out before it’s complete. Still you understand the primal urge to see this film before it’s out - it has Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber in it! That’s just too much hotness at once. The movie-going public is bound to agree.

Kim Kardashian looks very elegant in this dress for the Bravo A-List Awards. This is probably the most stunningly beautiful I've seen Kim. A far cry from all the calendar and candid photos. Though I'm not sure why Kim was invited to to an A-list awards show when nobody actually knows why she's famous. Seems like she would be a bit out of place. Even though I'm quite surprised she didn't show off more cleavage like her usual methods, I think Kim Kardashian actually looked really good while she was there.

Sienna?s going to be living in New York starting in August, as she rehearses for her Broadway debut in After Miss Julie, a play by Patrick Marber. The play opens in September. Sienna talked to Reuters about After Miss Julie, and her role in The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, which opens in limited release this Friday. Mysteries is the film she did with Peter Sarsgaard (swoon) in 2006, and at the time, she famously gave an interview complaining about having to work in ?Sh-tsburgh?. And just think, a mere three years later, the film is finally getting a release. Way to go, Sienna.
Actress Sienna Miller is scared about making her Broadway debut in October but said on Tuesday that treading the boards on the Great White Way is something she has always dreamed about. [Miller] will appear in the American premiere of Patrick Marber’s play “After Miss Julie,” which opens on Broadway on October 22 after a 2003 run at London’s Donmar Warehouse.
“I’m scared obviously but really excited,” Miller told Reuters in a joint interview with actor Peter Sarsgaard to promote their new movie “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh.” “Patrick Marber is, I think, one of the most fantastic writers.”
Miller’s role is Miss Julie in Marber’s version of August Strindberg’s 1888 play about sex and class that sets it in an English country house on the eve of the Labor Party’s historic landslide election in 1945.
“If you want to be an actress you think about opening on Broadway,” said Miller, who begins rehearsals on August 20 and starts preview performances on September 18.
The 27-year-old actress, who attracts as much attention for her style and love life as she does her performances, has already debuted in London’s West End, starring in Shakespeare’s “As You Like It” in 2005.
Sarsgaard, who made his Broadway debut late last year in “The Seagull,” offered Miller some advice — get a masseuse to come to her dressing room between the twice weekly matinee and evening performances.
“That’s good advice, I will have to take that on board,” Miller laughed, adding she used to have reflexology in London to help her cope with performing eight times a week.
Miller and Sarsgaard’s “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh,” based on Pulitzer Prize winning author Michael Chabon’s novel of the same name, opens in major U.S. cities on Friday.

Michael Chabon is one of the best American writers working today, and it sucks that a film adaptation of his Pulitizer Prize winning book not only stars Sienna Miller, but that she thinks she?s so utterly above it. The first film adaptation of a Chabon novel was Wonder Boys, which is one of my all-time favorite films. Everyone, every single actor gives a beautiful performance in that film, from Robert Downey Jr. to Frances McDormand to Rip Torn. Even a pre-Xenu Katie Holmes makes an appearance, and she?s lovely.

Don?t lose hope for a Samantha Ronson-Lindsay Lohan reconciliation. God knows, the past five days could just be some sort of elaborate foreplay. Samantha has spoken out (through her attorney) to People Magazine about the break-up, saying that the rumor of a restraining order against Lindsay is totally false. The lawyer said, ?Samantha has no plan to request a restraining order. There is no basis for one.? Do you believe him?
A source close to Sam is also telling People that Sam does not feel in any way threatened by Lindsay. My guess is ?not threatened? is code for ?turned on?. Sam also thinks the whole drama the past few days has been ?absurd?. Yes, it has.

The Beverly Hills cops confirmed that Ronson’s family members asked about a restraining order following the couple’s recent breakup. But Ronson’s attorney, David Bass, tells PEOPLE: “Samantha has no plan to request a restraining order. There is no basis for one.”

That granddaughter was Madonna, and she opened her heart and her wallet to support those affected by the earthquake. Her publicist confirms that Madonna donated, but she?s not saying how much. A ?source? tells People Magazine that the donation was $500,000.

Courteney Cox is pushing the envelope with her latest sitcom in development, “Cougar Town.” The show centers around older women getting it on with younger men. Some of the plot lines are said to be way too hot for TV, including a possibly offensive scene with a 15 year-old boy:
Following the failure of her lame gossip show, “Dirt,” Courteney Cox just sold a sitcom to ABC and censors call this one “FILTH!” The actual title is “Cougar Town,” a sleazy saga of middle-aged babes seeking sex from guys as young as 15 - and My Script Spy got kinda shy reporting all the X-plicit, raunchy references to kinky sex, the f-word, etc… plus a scene where a horny old cougar flips open her housecoat and flashes a 15-year-old boy! Stunned ABC censors and execs are already locked in a furious battle with exec producer Cox, warning her that network TV ain’t cable - and she and her Writers Gone Wild can’t push the envelope past “edgy” to “filthy.” Folks, I can’t give examples in our family newspaper - but one line that’s actually hilarious involves why a husband needs to shave. (Trust me - you won’t hear it when “Cougar Town” airs next season.)

From the brief clips I saw of now-canceled Dirt, the show was pretty awful. Courteney and David Arquette were executive producers, but there are so many people involved in those shows that it’s hard to know who to blame when one fails so miserably. You could charitably say that sometimes a good team just puts out bad work for whatever reason. Cougar Town is put out by Bill Lawrence, a screenwriter/producer/director who created the quirky show Scrubs, so Courteney’s latest effort might be good. If it’s as dirty as they say, it will definitely have to be toned down for TV. Plot lines involving older women seducing or even flashing 15 year-old kids are not cool.
It’s a shame that Courteney and the other Friends alumni apart from Jennifer Aniston have struggled so much in their careers since the show ended. They’re all pretty solid, well known comedic actors and it’s surprising that we don’t see them more on TV or film.
