They certainly have been spending a lot of their free time together and Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal are now heating things up on the west coast.
The ?You Belong With Me? singer and the ?Bubble Boy? stud have been spotted in New York City and Nashville as of late, and earlier this week they met up in Los Angeles.
Upon her arrival via private jet, "Jake and Taylor seemed to be catching up and were chatting nonstop in the car," an onlooker says. "Jake was making Taylor laugh and she looked very happy."
Ms Swift has an exciting birthday coming up this Monday as she turns the big 21.

Anna explained, ?We would sexy text each other on Wednesdays. But one time I was sending him a text and I accidentally sent it to my dad."

Nick Cannon just killed my dream. My dream was that Mariah Carey was expecting twin girls, and that she was planning on naming them Butterfly Princess Glitter and Rainbow Sunshine Cupcake. But it was just a lie (not really)! Nick Cannon just confirmed to Us Weekly that he and Mariah are just expecting one baby, not two, and that they don?t know the sex yet. Nick also confirmed a few other things too:
Mariah Carey may be staying mum, but her hubby Nick Cannon wants to clarify something: they’re only expecting one bundle of joy.
“That rumor started because she said something about ‘they,” the comic told UsMagazine.com at the Time Warner Cable Launch of SignatureHome Thursday. “Something like, ‘I hope they don’t hate Christmas,” but she was using the word ‘they’ as in, like, he and she.”
And while Cannon said the pair doesn’t know yet if it’s a boy or a girl, he is coming clean about something else. Yes, he did whisper to Carey’s belly that there is no Santa.
“I got in trouble for that,” he told Us. “I’m a Santa-ologist. At three-years-old my Dad told me there was no Santa. And my wife is Mrs. Christmas, so I have to compromise on that.”
But he’s not willing to budge on his mandate that Carey stick to flats for the remainder of her pregnancy. “Yes, no more heels,” he told Us. “I’m going to make sure of it!”

I kind of love the idea of Nick trying to order Mariah to give up her heels. That would be like getting Posh Beckham to stop posing so hard, or trying to get Renee Zellweger to stop squinting. It was announced earlier this year that Natalie Portman was working on a deal to become the ?face? of a perfume from the house of Dior. Now we know which one - Miss Dior Cherie. I can?t say that I?ve ever smelled it, but as a rule, I tend to avoid all Dior perfumes because I find them so heavy. This one sounds like it could be one of their lighter scents, though. And what?s more important is that Natalie is now very, very closely associated with a luxury brand. Dior produced many of the costumes for Black Swan. Natalie has worn mostly Dior while promoting Black Swan. Natalie has began attending events for Dior. Not bad, Dior. The new ads will premiere in the new year, but Natalie recently gave an interview to Allure about her gig:
Allure: When do you wear perfume?
NP: On special occasions. On Valentine’s Day. If it’s a big night out with someone I love. It’s like putting on nice jewelry. I think it makes every woman feel more feminine.
Allure: What’s the one product you use every day?
NP: Jolle Ciocco Sensitive Cleansing Milk. It smells delicious; it’s really natural, and it protects my skin.
Allure: What’s a look you love on others but don’t think you can pull off yourself?
NP: I’m slowly being eased into red lipstick. I think it looks really chic on other people, but I always felt a bit silly with it on.
Allure: What’s a beauty trend you’d never try in a million years?
NP: Plastic surgery. I feel like everyone is trying to look like the same person, and it usually makes people look older than they are.
Allure: Growing up in front of the camera, did you develop any beauty hang-ups?
NP: Having a mole on my cheek was the biggest thing. When I did photo shoots, they would Photoshop it out. No one ever said anything to my face, but I felt like I was being told that it was ugly. Finally, I had to say, “No! This is part of me.” I’m not a model. I’m being photographed because of who I am?and that includes the mole!
Allure: When you’re working on a film, how do you relax?
NP: Acupuncture on my pressure points keeps me balanced and calms my nerves.
Allure: What’s your typical workout?
NP: Three or four times a week, I’ll swim or use the elliptical. Swimming is very meditative. I can’t hear anything under the water; it’s just me and my silence for 45 minutes to an hour. And it really gets every part of my body at once.
Allure: Who are your beauty icons?
NP: I love Audrey Hepburn, of course, with her cat eyes and thick eyebrows. And I love Lauren Hutton in the ’70s with those curls and her big eyes and her beautiful teeth!

All is not well in the polyester-acetate blend world of the Kardashian sisters: the New York Times just gave a scathing review of their new DASH store in Manhattan, just a day after Bebe basically announced they were going to dump their Kardashian resort collection. Radar Online says of the NY Times review:
New York Times columnist Jon Caramanica scathingly described the store as a “fashion desert.”
“Just oodles of drapey cowl necks and embellished cap sleeves and synthetic fibers,” he wrote. “Clothes are essentially split into two categories of fit: vacuum-sealed and hot-air balloon.’
Describing one pricey outfit, Caramanica wrote, “You could wear this look in the same way you could hire an enthusiastic 5-year-old as your stylist.”
And of their resort line with Bebe:
Earlier this year, Bebe had launched a Kardashian line inspired by “something the sisters would wear on vacation.”
But Bebe president Emilia Fabricant admitted that they are re-thinking their partnership with the Kardashians.
?The sisters do still have relevance,? said Fabricant. “But at Bebe we need to move with fashion and we want to be first in the fashion world with everybody else and not fall behind. We are definitely assessing the situation.?
Once Bebe “assesses the situation,” they’ll probably realize that everything Kim Kardashian wears looks like it took a couple of Chinese contortionists and a welder to put on. I think the problem here is that their clothing line doesn’t come with a shoe horn and several tubs of Crisco. Unless it’s cutting off your circulation and causing hairline fractures in your ribs, it’s just not the Kardashian look.

Kourtney Kardashian is devastated by false Internet rumors that her beau Scott Disick is secretly gay and into kinky sex with transsexuals. She?s is furious that her relationship is under a microscope, say sources, and by the constant Internet heckling from commenters taunting her about Scott?s sexuality.
She?s even concerned about a blind item that many thought was about she and Scott: ?Things are about to get real for this D-list reality star. Her bf loves she-males.?
What?s worse, Scott seems to be enjoying all the publicity!

Taking care of a publicity gig, Adriana Lima was spotted at the Victoria?s Secret store in the Woodfield Mall on Wednesday (December 8).
The lingerie lady looked lovely as she promoted the $2 million Fantasy Bra while Schaumburg, Illinios locals and paparazzi looked on.
In a recent interview, Adriana confessed that giving birth to her daughter Valentina gave her a boost in the self-esteem department.
She explained, "Actually, I feel more confident, even more beautiful, more sexy after I gave birth to my daughter."

Stepping out for a swanky evening, Dita Von Teese was spotted at the launch of her limited edition set ?My Private Cointreau Coffret? in West Hollywood last night (December 9).
The burlesque babe looked fabulous as she posed for the paparazzi outside the Fred Segal store in a beautiful black dress with black heels.
Coming up next week, Dita will be taking over the Roxy in Los Angeles for a very special engagement from December 13th through the 15th.
She explained, ?I?ve got two new acts to showcase. I will be debuting a beautiful new haute couture costume that Mr. Pearl made for me in Paris, which was two years in the making, with all the hand-beading and Swarovski crystals! I?m also really excited to showcase a very diverse and fabulous lineup of fellow burlesque performers who are legendary in the neo-burlesque scene. We have Dirty Martini, Duke Lafayette, Mr. Murray Hill from New York, and Perle Noire from New Orleans, who performs an incredible Josephine Baker tribute.?

Bale?s new flick is called ?The Fighter,? and he plays Dicky Eklund, the half brother and trainer of Boston?s ?Irish? Mickey Ward, a boxer.
Of the role, Christian told press, "I had to take it right to the cusp so that I could go with make-up from being the crackhead to also with the help of make-up being the cleaned up Dicky when he got out of jail. I had to do it without the luxury of losing huge amounts of weight in between because we shot the movie so quickly."

The video is below - TMZ says the video is from her 18th birthday party, and that it was ?shot during a party at Miley’s L.A. area home 5 days after her 18th birthday.? TMZ also hilariously notes that ?a source connected with Miley? claims that Miley is in fact smoking ?a natural herb called salvia which has psychedelic qualities. Possession of salvia is legal in California.? HA. TMZ got their hands on it? well? ?the source tells us it was shot by one of Miley’s friends — and theory is that someone stole or copied the video from that friend’s camera.? Miley’s friends keep selling her out - she needs to surround herself with better people.
It?s definitely her, and I would argue that it?s totally not ?salvia? but in fact, The Refer. I don?t hate on Miley for smoking weed, at all. She?s doing what I was doing when I was her age. It?s a rite of passage, and I?m just happy that her vices are about having some drinks and smoking some weed, rather than some Blohan-esque extravaganza involving a mountain of cocaine, a couple of hookers and a road trip from the Chateau Marmont to Tijuana. Smoking a bong in your own home just seems quaint, honestly.
That being said, I would hate to get high with her. Her voice would make me bug out.

Enjoying a romantic evening out, Ashley Tisdale was spotted hitting up Katsuya restaurant in Los Angeles last night (December 9).
Joined by her boyfriend Scott Speer, the ?High School Musical? hottie donned an animal print coat as she dined at the celebrity-popular eatery.
Earlier in the day, Ashley was busy taking care of her holiday shopping list as she meandered around Barneys New York.
She tweeted, "Went spinning then shopping with my mom, grandma, and niece mikayla. I guess u can call them my ?posse? lol."

Treating herself to a pampering session, Christina Hendricks was spotted paying a visit to the Andy Lecompte Salon yesterday (December 9).
The ?Mad Men? actress looked lovely as she made her exit from the West Hollywood stylist, sporting an orange hat and tan jacket.
And with the holiday season upon us, Christina confessed that her family has a strange gifting ritual each year.
?My family always does a banana with your name on it in your stocking. You carve [the name] in really lightly with a pencil, and a couple hours later it?s nice and black. It sounds so gross but I promise it?s really cute!?
?I think it was supposed to be a healthy thing to eat on Christmas morning before you start to eat all the goodies and sweets and all those things.?

As you probably know by now, Winona Ryder has a smaller, supporting part in Black Swan. Winona plays the principal dancer who is on her way out - Natalie Portman?s character replaces her. Winona is supposed to be very, very good in the film, and she?s benefiting from the good reviews. She?s in the midst of some kind of career comeback, only this one will probably stick. Anyway, Winona has being press in support of the film, and she gave an interview to Elle Magazine, in addition to doing a somewhat creepy black-and-white photo shoot for the mag as well (full interview here, and the slideshow is here). Here are the highlights from the interview:
Elle on Ryder?s performance in Black Swan: Ryder can?t be on-screen for more than 20 minutes?her role lands somewhere between cameo and supporting actress. And yet, as pallid as ever, with impossibly dark eyes that dominate her valentine-shaped face, she manages to make her presence seem big. The movie wouldn?t have the same palpable tension without her. It might be that the metacasting?a real-life former ingenue playing a former ingenue?is simply effective. But there?s a potent alchemy at work that is Ryder?s alone. When she appears in Black Swan, it?s impossible not to be awash in nostalgia for her charmingly twisted, compulsively watchable films (even in Beetle Juice, her all-in-black teen ghost whisperer made Ryder a heroine for legions of goth-positive girls). That, combined with her stirringly executed performance (there?s a scene in which Ryder takes a nail file to those perfectly hollowed out cheeks that will haunt anyone with a heartbeat for days), makes it difficult not to want more of her. Even Aronofsky, who had Ryder on set for less than two weeks, felt the pull of her legacy. ?There?s one scene with her, where I think I did 20 or 30 takes, which is a lot,? he says. ?But the reason I did so many is because I couldn?t believe that was all [the time] I was going to get with Winona Ryder. I really just wanted to keep working with her.?
On her upbringing: Her upbringing undoubtedly shaped her: Her parents, stalwarts of the San Francisco counterculture, hung with Allen Ginsberg and John Lennon. Ryder?s father, Michael Horowitz, is a rare-books dealer and Timothy Leary?s archivist. ?My dad just gave me [Leary?s] watch for my birthday,? she says. ?It?s called the Borel Kaleidoscope; it?s, like, this interesting kind of watch that when you look at it, you can stare at it forever?it moves in this weird way.?
On reading real books: She?s a voracious reader (both Mom and Dad are writers) and begins a lot of her sentences with ?Have you ever read that book?? As an avid collector of first editions, she?s a big believer in ?paper and pen? and writing letters, and has yet to use the iPad Ron Howard recently gave her after wrapping this month?s date movie The Dilemma.
On the Internet: ?I don?t use the Internet, but apparently you can find out everything on it,? she says sounding genuinely bewildered. ?I have my e-mail on my BlackBerry, and that?s about it. I?ve never read a blog, ever. I feel like it?s taking away that great anticipation of seeing a movie. It used to be you?d hear, like, Al Pacino was making a movie, and you wouldn?t know anything about it. And nowadays, you know it all, like how much [the actors] are being paid. I would hate to see a picture of me and the caption reads, ?Is she worth it?? ?
On her disappearing act from film for a few years: Ryder sees it as a self-inflicted dry spell. ?If I don?t relate to the [project], even if it?s something that I should do, it?s hard for me to say yes,? she says. ?I?m the type who?d rather not work than work on something I?m not into. I?ve done that a couple of times, and I feel like I can totally see it in my performance.?
Can she say which films? ?No, but it?s kind of obvious.? She laughs. ?I mean, there?s a couple of times that I did it, for the, you know, paycheck. Even when I was younger?I remember I did this movie that wasn?t good, called 1969. I totally did it ?cause I could get out of school. I can see it in even great actors? performances, when they?re phoning it in.?
Aging as an actress: ?I did relate to Beth [in Black Swan] on a certain level,? she says. ?Just that thing of, you know, when I?m told I?m not the ingenue anymore. And now I?m 39. I remember when I was younger, I couldn?t wait to be older, because I was always the kid on the set, I was always younger than everyone else. And now I?m older than a lot of the people I work with. I?ve been doing this for 25 years, which is so strange. I was watching TV, and there was this oldies-but-goodies film fest, and Lucas came on. I was like, Oh my God, I?m an oldie!?
Winona chased the part in Ron Howard?s The Dilemma (with Vince Vaughn): These days, she seems more willing to explore new territory and isn?t afraid to hustle for something she wants. This month, Ryder plays Kevin James? cheating wife, who?s caught in the act by her husband?s best bro Vince Vaughn, in the Ron Howard comedy The Dilemma. ?She definitely chased it,? Howard says. ?She was really willing to come in and read with Vince, to see what it all felt like. And it was great when somebody of her stature volunteers that sort of thing. We pretty much cast her on the spot.?
On meeting men who used to crush on her: ?I remember being at this bar called Tosca in San Francisco, and I met this guy one night. He was really cute, and we were talking, and then, like, he just said something about how he had always had a crush on me. And I was suddenly mistrustful about why he was talking to me. I wanted to be just a normal girl flirting with a normal guy. It?s like you meet people, and they know this stuff about you. It?s why you want to meet somebody who?s in the same business, only because they understand more. But you don?t necessarily want to be with another actor.?
On having babies: Ryder says she?s not seeing anyone seriously now but has thought about what course her career might take when she, ?knock on wood,? has kids. ?I would at least take a couple of years off.? Just don?t expect her to disappear altogether.
A Sean Penn story: ?I remember when I was about 18,? she says, pausing for a moment. ?Sean Penn made a bet with me. He had just directed his first movie, and he?s like, ?By the time you?re 30, I will bet you $500 that you?ll be sick of acting.? I?m still waiting to collect, because I?m not.?

It is kind of amazing to think that Winona was ?punished? by Hollywood for that shoplifting incident, when so many people have done so much worse and still had sizeable careers. Was it just the shoplifting incident, or was there more to it? I?m a fan of that era of gossip (late 1990s/early 2000s), and I seem to remember that Winona?s issues weren?t solely about kleptomania. That being said, she does seem lucid and happy and ?together? now, so more power to her. I?m happy to see her again.

Here’s a cute story from US Magazine about how Ben Affleck is excited to stay at home and take care of the kids while his wife Jennifer Garner is away shooting a film. Ben has been busy this year with several projects and we’ve seen Garner around LA with their two daughters, Violet, 5, and Seraphina, who turns two next month. All of that is about to change when Ben gets home and takes over for Jen. I know that Kaiser and many of you think that Garner carefully plays the role of a harried mom for the paparazzi, but I think that’s just who she is and that her schedule and whereabouts are so predictable that the paparazzi hound her and her family. It’s to her and Ben’s credit that they’ve remained so calm and tolerant of that.
Having just wrapped his latest flick — with costars Javier Bardem and Rachel McAdams — in Oklahoma, the actor, 38, is excited to spend time at home with wife Jennifer Garner, 38, and their daughters Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 23 months.
“My wife’s going to a movie and then it’s going to be just pure Mr. Mom time!” he told UsMagazine.com at the NYC premiere of his new drama, The Company Men, Wednesday.
Also on his to-do list: hitting the mall. The star recently admitting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he often picks up Garner’s Christmas presents “at, like, CVS on the 24th.”
“It sounded bad, I know!” he told Us. “When I watched it I was like, ‘I don’t come off very well here.’ But I have that experience quite a bit.”
Continued Affleck, “Basically, my wife is very in-depth with all this stuff, really sharp, very thoughtful, very thorough. And so for me, I get kind of panicked, I put things off and I just don’t know what to get so just buying her a present — I put more work into that than she does into buying fifteen!”
But her organized shopping habits aren’t the only thing the star digs about his gal. When asked his favorite thing about her, he told Us, “What’s not to love?”

Do you guys remember that movie Mr. Mom? Michael Keaton’s character got all pudgy and lazy watching soap operas and contemplating an affair before he took charge and got his act together. (Then there was that scene where they played the theme from Rocky and he cleaned up and got his son to throw out his “wubby.”) I doubt that will happen to Ben, but I’d love to see him fill out a little like his buddy Matt Damon. He’s just too damn hot for a stay at home dad.
Affleck is promoting his film The Company Men, which premiered at Sundance and is out in the US on January 21. It also stars Chris Cooper, Kevin Costner and Tommy Lee Jones. It looks like his comeback is in full force.

2010 was the year of the scandal, with the Tiger Woods debacle carrying over to ring in the year closely followed by Jesse James’ massive betrayal of Sandra Bullock, which broke in mid March. Bullock handled that scandal with more grace and class than anyone could have imagined. She emerged six weeks later with an adopted baby that no one had any clue about, proving that she was able to keep the most important thing in her life an absolute secret at a time when she was all the tabloids were talking about. Sandra and Jesse have since divorced, with Jesse of course moving to Austin with his kids to be closer to her. According to In Touch, Sandra is planning for her former stepchildren to spend Christmas with her and her adopted son Louis, almost one. She’s even invited Jesse. In Touch has run exclusive interviews with Jesse’s ex Janine Lindemulder, so it’s possible this news is coming from her.
Sandra Bullock is planning to spend the Christmas holidays in Austin, Texas with [Jesse James]. And it’s all for the benefit of her adopted son, Louis, and Jesse’s three children, Chandler, 14, Jesse Jr., 12, and Sunny, 6.
“Sandra is making plans for a Christmas reunion for Louis and her former stepkids, so they can spend time together and bond,” a family insider tells In Touch. “And she’s agreed to allow Jesse to come, as well…
“Sandra wants to make sure Louis grows up knowing Jesse’s children, so she is willing to put the past behind her for the sake of the kids.
“Sandra knows that having Jesse’s family in Louis’ life is good for him… so she’s opening her home and her heart to the children, inviting them to visit at Christmastime.”

It sounds like Sandra is keeping it friendly and civil for the sake of her young son and the kids she grew to love. I wonder how much of an ass Jesse feels like when he realizes what he threw away.

Dressed casually in a green hoodie and workout tights, the former Disney darling roamed Barneys New York in search of her gifting needs.
Tweeting about the retail efforts, Tizzie wrote, "Went spinning then shopping with my mom, grandma, and niece mikayla. I guess u can call them my "posse" lol"
The shopping session comes as Ashley recently returned to LA after having been situated up in Vancouver for the production of her hit CW show "Hellcats".

Pushing forth with her treatment, Lindsay Lohan was spotted at her sober living house in Rancho Mirage, CA on Thursday (December 9).
The "Mean Girls" star stepped out to have a smoke with a cup in one hand and one of her shoes in the other while at the Betty Ford Center locale.
As the troubled actress continues to get better with care for her addictions, Lindsay was recently granted driving privileges by the state of California.
Taking advantage of the newfound freedom, LiLo proceeded forth to hop in her new convertible Porsche as she then drove off to her afternoon AA class.
