Lakshmi revealed that ?Top Chef? recently headed to Texas, where they recently wrapped up filming in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.

I promised you this interview in the post where I finally, at long last, pitted the boys against each other - go here to see my ?Brad Pitt versus Justin Theroux: Battle of the Try-Hards? post. Anyway, it seems like today we?re just going to be inundated with new Brad Pitt interviews. These are some excerpts from his cover interview in Sunday?s Parade Magazine - by the way, Parade editors: don?t excerpt your cover story over the course of a seven-page slideshow. It?s ridiculously and unnecessarily time-consuming. Just put the s–t on one page. Anyway, you can read all of Parade?s piece here - just go through the endless pages, for the love of God. The biggest, attention-gettingest quote is probably when Brad makes reference to his marriage to Jennifer Aniston - and he makes it sound like it was totally miserable.
Brad?s 1990s: ?I spent the ?90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn?t living an interesting life myself,” he continues. “I think that my marriage [to actress Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn?t.”
How he changed: “I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man. I?m satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much. A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss. ? That?s the trade-off. But I?ll take it all.?
On Angelina: ?One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom,” he tells Parade. “She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I?m so happy to have her.?
On the rumors: “I mean, how many stories have you read that aren?t true, stories about me and Angie being married or fighting or splitting up? And when we don?t split up, there?s a whole new round that we?ve made up and we?re back together again!” he says. “We?ll get married when everyone can. We?re not splitting up. And we don?t have a seventh child yet.”
on gay marriage: ?Can you believe that we?re still fighting for equality in America? To be against marriage for everyone is utter discrimination. I feel strongly about that because if equality of marriage doesn?t happen now, the next generation will have to deal with it. It is an amazing thing that New York has finally gotten same-sex marriage. But the real problem is that the federal government hides behind states on this issue. It is blatant, ugly bigotry, and the federal government shouldn?t be doing that. You?re denying some Americans the right that all Americans have, to live their lives as they choose. What are you so afraid of? That?s my question. Gay people getting married? What is so scary about that? It?s complicated. You grow up in a religion like that and you try to pray the gay away. I feel sadness for people like that. This is where people start short-circuiting?instead of being brave and questioning their beliefs, they are afraid and feel that they have to defend them.?
Brad on religion: ?I don?t mind a world with religion in it. There are some beautiful tenets within all religions. What I get hot about is when they start dictating how other people must live. People suffer because of it. They are spreading misery. My family is all devout Christians? We don?t see eye to eye on this one, yet at the end of the day we love each other, we?re still family.?
Brad on adopting babies: ?When Angie and I first met, we came together quite quickly and we decided we were adopting. Now the rules are that because we are not married, I can?t adopt. Angie adopts. We decided we were adopting a daughter. We were going to do it right out of the gate. We were not going to mess around. Angie said, ‘No shopping [for kids].’ I thought that was astute and beautifully put. It took the pressure off of adoption and brought a magic to it. We had set our parameters?we had room in our family if anyone needed a home. We got the call, and that?s our eldest daughter, Zahara? You get an attachment to people and places that you see. If you see suffering when you?re there, then you?ve made a connection to those people and you have to act on it. Once you have an understanding of it then you have to try to help. I say to people, go travel the world. Open your eyes. See it.”
ON NATURE VERSES NUTURE: “If you ask me about nature versus nurture, I?m going to say it is 80 percent nature, absolutely. You see [a child?s character] six, maybe nine months in. Now, some of our kids need more nurturing than others. Some have more delicacy. They?re all just unique individuals.”
ON LEARNING FRENCH: ?All our kids are speaking French, so now we have that second language infused into our home. Everyone is learning another language. I?ve got the Rosetta Stone for French sitting right on the table in the bedroom, and it?s going to be loaded into my brain. I know there are certain synapses in my brain that just freeze dead at French, but I have to learn it because our kids are speaking it. [Laughs] Even the twins as babies were saying certain things in French.?
ON FAME: ?I don?t read about Angie or me in the press. I don?t see anything. I really don?t want to know. I don?t think the generation [of celebrities] preceding me had it as bad as I did. And I think the generation after me has it worse than that. I?m talking about the tabloid press. In the ?90s it really shook me up. I couldn?t believe that people would just make up stories. I would never think to do that. I mean, I went to journalism school. And there?s a code of ethics to journalism. It?s about being unbiased and not sensationalist and speculative. Now there?s a cult of speculation. ‘A close source says?’ The thing that really amazed me was when someone would describe why I did something, or what I was feeling. I used to go mental over it and try to fight it. But it was a futile battle, so I just gave up on it.”

There?s so much more, about Make It Right NOLA and he talks at length about religion and faith too. But let?s just get into the tabloidy stuff about his marriage to Aniston. He doesn?t really blame Jennifer or say that it was her fault or anything - I actually like the way he made the point: ?I wasn?t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn?t.? As in, they simply weren?t right for each other as husband and wife, and he got sick of pretending that they had some kind of fairy tale. If he?s accusing Jennifer of anything, it?s that she was NOT sick of pretending they had a fairy-tale marriage.
Also - I really like what he said about Angelina. Brad rarely speaks of Angelina so effusively. But I would like for Brad to talk her up more as his partner, as his de facto wife instead of just as the mother of his kids.

This is just a quick little story because I was absolutely stunned to see these close-ups of Britney Spears in London today. She was walking into a radio interview, and she caused something of a mob scene. But that?s not the shocking thing. Take a close look at Britney?s hair? look? look closely.
THAT?S HER REAL HAIR.
It?s not a wig. It?s not a wiglet. It?s not a busted weave. It?s not some trashy-looking extensions. It?s not some budget-riveted situation. I believe with all of my heart that we are looking at Britney?s real hair.
HALLELUJAH!
It was just last year when Britney?s hair situation looked like it would never get better. Remember this horrible situation? For months, Britney was getting pap?d with descending levels of awful, busted hair tragedies. One year later, and she?s finally taken control of her hair situation? Can it be? Or did she just find a really good hairstylist?

Lindsay Lohan is still at New York Fashion Week but it sounds like she’s wearing out her welcome real fast. The latest “Lindsay is an intolerable b*tch” story comes from the Women’s Wear DailyTwitter account. They tweeted last night, “Lindsay Lohan just threw a full drink at a boy at V magazine party who dared to snap her pic. #NYFW.”
This was different from the last storywhere she and friends forced a pap to delete pictures of her as the photog in this case was Jasper Rischen, a professional photographer shooting for V Magazine. He tweeted, “Wow. Lindsay Lohan is as trashy as they always say. She threw drinks and glasses to me as we tried to take a shot for@vmagazine…” (He punctuated his tweet with a more colorful descriptor.) The descriptor was “C.u.n.t.” if you were curious.
Lindsay Lohan has a knack for burning bridges wherever she goes. But, hey, at least this will make it easier when she does her next woe-is-me interview where she claims everyone is out to get her.
Granted, if I was sporting a fancy new double chin like Lindsay, I wouldn’t want my picture being taken either. I guess that’s why she pushed her chest up so much. She’s like a magician with her masterful misdirection.

Taking care of some promotional duties, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy were spotted at a press conference for their new movie ?Hysteria? in Toronto, Canada today (September 15).
Joined by Tanya Wexler and Jonathan Pryce, Maggie and Hugh fielded questions at the TIFF Bell Lightbox as part of the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival.
Later on this evening, ?Hysteria? makes its TIFF debut at 9:30 at the Roy Thomson Hall, and there?s sure to be plenty of fanfare.
According to an official release, ?Hysteria tells the true story of how, aided by a goofy pal with a fascination for gadgets and electricity (Rupert Everett), young Granville came to invent the first vibrator. Key to this was his association with Dalrymple?s very different daughters: the well-spoken Emily (Felicity Jones) and the outspoken Charlotte (Maggie Gyllenhaal). The result inadvertently contributed to women?s sexual independence and the coming women?s movement.?

Before jumping into this story, I just want to make it clear that home invasion is not a laughing matter. Luckily, I haven’t ever lived through it, although my old apartment was once robbed while I was away at law school classes for the day. It happened in a bad neighborhood where lots of homes were broken into during a relatively short period of time, and the two guys (who were later arrested while trying to cash one of my blank checks) tore the place up while (presumably) looking for valuables, drugs, or weapons. The entire thing was horrifying for me simply by virtue of them being in my space, so I can’t even imagine what it’s like to be at home when someone makes their uninvited entrance.
While promoting Trespass at TIFF, however, Nicolas Cage, has revealed that he experienced a home invasion of his own a few years ago. Somehow, Nic’s story is really weird though, and I have to resist the urge to stifle a giggle because of the details. Apparently, Nic woke up in the middle of the night to see a naked guy standing in his bedroom while holding a Fudgsicle. It’s almost like because it’s Nic Cage, the story has to be the most bizarre thing one can imagine, right? In fact, the only reason I’m certain that this guy wasn’t just his crazy son, Weston, showing up to say hello to dear old dad is because no roundhouse kicks were mentioned in the story. I know, I’m a jerk. Really, this is something that no one would never want to live through:
For actor Nicolas Cage, making the new thriller movie Trespass hit close to home.
Cage, at the Toronto film festival along with director Joel Schumacher promoting the film about a home invasion, said that he has actually lived through the nightmare in real life.
“It was two in the morning. I was living in Orange County at the time and was asleep with my wife. My two-year old at the time was in another room. I opened my eyes and there was a naked man wearing my leather jacket eating a Fudgsicle in front of my bed,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
“I know it sounds funny … but it was horrifying.”
A Fudgsicle is a frozen, ice cream-like snack.
Cage said the ordeal ended after he talked the man out of the house and police arrived. He did not press charges, as the man had mental problems, but Cage, who now lives in Nassau, Bahamas, said he could not stay in the house after that.
In Trespass, which is scheduled for release in October, thieves con their way into the opulent mansion where Cage’s character lives with his unhappy wife (played by Nicole Kidman) and their daughter.
The family is held for ransom and the movie follows a path of twists and turns as negotiations with the intruders ensue.
Schumacher, who earlier cast Cage in his film 8MM, and Kidman in Batman Forever, said Trespass is also about extremes between the rich and the poor in America.
“It’s a class warfare movie too, about the haves and the have-nots.”
The diamond-dealing Cage character and one of the invaders are two versions of the same man, in that they have both “overreached to have their share of what used to be called The American Dream,” Schumacher said.

Cage is actually fortunate in a sense — if you have to experience a home invasion, it’s inarguably preferable to experience the mentally-ill, “Fudgsicle” variety rather than a sociopath with a gun. Of course, one ideally never has to experience either of these scenarios, but I’d be willing to be that Nic has not eaten nor stored a Fudgsicle in his house since this incident took place.
As for Trespass, the trailer and poster for the movie pretty much rule out watchability, and it’s also discouraging that Schumacher (he of the ubiquitous bat nipples) felt the need to point out the film’s political message. Yes, suspenseful and horrific movies often go the sociopolitical route, but that’s supposed to be a more subtle aspect that one reflects upon after watching a movie as opposed to what pulls people into the theater. I think the best home invasion movie that I’ve seen lately was The Strangers, and it nearly made me pee my pants in the theater, which is a good thing in a sense, unlike the impression given by the promotional material for Traspass. I’m not even sure why they’ve bothered to screen the film at TIFF either when it’s only scheduled for a two-week run in theaters, which will be followed by an immediate DVD release.
Also, here’s a photo of Nic, his wife Alice Kim, and son Kal-El in London on July 11 of this year. Although Star claimed that Nic and Alice were headed for divorce and he was already trolling for strange, I guess they decided to stay together?

On his Sexiest Man Alive status:
?Well, they?re not saying you?re the Biggest A?hole, you know? When you get older, you realize it?s just for fun. Clooney and I were able to have fun with it later. But in some ways, I?m still a kid from Missouri and Oklahoma and I?m trying to find my way. By the way, we?re only talking about a blip. I didn?t spend much time thinking about it.?
On his joint "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" effort with Angelina Jolie: ?A husband and wife who actually want to kill each other?I thought that was a launching pad for something really fun and vibrant. Again, that was something we were developing as we were going along, and Angie?s a great partner in that. We work really well together. We had some good workshops beforehand. Had some good laughs and ideas. That was just a great collaboration that turned into a greater collaboration.?
On the possibility of working alongside his lady in the future: ?We should be doing them together?that?s what we should be doing. We should be doing everything together, and then we could work less. We could have more time off.?

Here’s Jennifer Love Hewitt out last night in West Hollywood wearing a jaunty fedora, jeans and a white t-shirt. She’s also holding hands with a happy looking drag queen who bears a resemblance to Joy Behar. Hewitt got papped by multiple photographers (several agencies have these photos) after hosting a drag bingo tournament at a place called Hamburger Marys.
First, this is one of the more clever paparazzi outings that Hewitt has made. This is a great way to get people to talk about her without dressing up to go shopping, parading around some lover or other at a critically early stage in their relationship (unless she’s going home with Joy Behar here, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility) or looking like a hot mess. Second, she looks really good. She’s pulled together, for her, her hair and makeup are casual cute, and she looks happy but sober. I’m not a fan of the semi crop top or the too long jeans, but it’s not bad. I’ll say something else that’s nice about her, I just realized that we’ve never seen candids of her out looking wasted. That’s probably because all her paparazzi outings are orchestrated, but still.
The last we saw of Hewitt she was rocking a Herve Leger bandage dress at fashion week and looking incredibly good. I agree with Kaiser that those dresses suck and need to be retired at some point, but Hewitt looked great.
I checked Hewitt’s Twitter to see what she’s up to lately. She polled her nearly 30,000 followers on love, asking “If there is like and love. What is that feeling right before love called?...” Then she retweeted a bunch of responses about feeling goofy, giddy and sick to your stomach basically. She might have found another guy to fall for, or maybe she’s talking about that young actor dude who looks more like a little brother than a love interest. She claimed she was using it for another book, though “Thanks for all the responses. Just wrote a rough draft of a cool chapter for book two. And you guys helped!” So J.Love is writing yet another relationship book. It figures. Kirstie Alley has a diet program, so I guess J.Love can write relationship books.

You know the secret to getting a relatively good candid photo of Linnocent? Put her next to her mother. Usually, when I see photos of Dina (?Mother Crackhead?) and Linnocent separately, I think they look about the same frozen age - mid-40s, with a cracked-out veneer. It?s only when I see them together that I can actually acknowledge that Linnocent does in fact look younger than her mother. I?m not saying Linnocent looks good here - God no. I?m just saying that Mother Crackhead looks terrible and Linnocent looks terrible, but I can differentiate between mother and daughter.

Lindsay Lohan has already caused one ruckus this Fashion Week when she brought a pirate to the Cynthia Rowley show, and last night she struck again. A commotion erupted on the spiral stairs at Beauty & Essex (where Paper magazine and Nine West were celebrating Karen Elson’s new shoe and accessories line for the brand) shortly after the model?musician’s set ended.
Lohan was furiously telling a photographer on the stairs above her to “Delete those pictures! Delete them right now!” as he clutched his camera to him, while your intrepid party reporter watched from above. Eventually, we summoned the nerve to squeeze by Lohan, only to brush her on the way down, causing her to hiss, “don’t be a c*nt,” before she returned to haranguing the photographer.
A few minutes later, two scrums had formed ? one of Lohan’s friends around the photographer, watching him as he appeared to delete each of the offending photos; the other of Nine West and event staffers, furiously whispering that “she needs to leave.”

There have been photos of Ashlee Simpson and her new boyfriend, Vincent Piazza, before, but they?ve always been candids. Last night was their big red carpet debut as a couple, at the Season 2 premiere of Boardwalk Empire. Vincent plays Lucky Luciano in the show, and for a while he posed solo on the carpet, and then Ashlee came over and they did photos together. I like that! I like that Ashlee?s not ?Oh, I can?t pose with my boyfriend at his premiere! We’re too cool for that.? They?re a relatively new couple, and seeing them together makes me wish them well. I even like her dress and her hair!
Ashlee has been all over New York this week, going to NYFW events and generally keeping her nose clean. Maybe it?s because no one cares about Ashlee, or maybe it?s because she?s not quite the same drunken mess she was, but there have been no reports (that I?ve seen) of Ashlee being crazy or anything. I think she?s just loved up with her boyfriend, and Vincent has come to some NYFW events with her too.
I?ve added some photos of Ashlee at the Herve Leger event two days ago - she was wearing a bandage dress, of course, and The Fug Girls were wondering aloud if Ashlee had gotten her boobs done: ??a boobalicious blonde Ashlee Simpson (are those new, or was her bra just that good?)?. In these photos, I would say no. Ashlee has never been particularly well-endowed, right? In these pics she looks small and natural, and she?s just wearing a dress that hoists her girls up and makes them look cute.

The British babe hammed it up at Claridges Hotel to celebrate the launch of the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick Collection.
And it seems Kate can?t stop spending these days- she recently plunked down some serious dough on a brand new Porsche.
An insider revealed, "This new Porsche is just the tip of the iceberg for Kate. Since she got married in July she's been on a massive spending spree and definitely seems to be enjoying flashing the cash.?
"She spent 50,000 pounds in the south of France on an impressive getaway villa. And she also ordered a whole new stock of fancy wines from Bordeaux to stock up her bulging wine cellar. She just can't seem to help herself."

Kim Kardashian dramz took two tabloid covers this week, Star Mag and Us Weekly. In addition to those cover stories, every other tabloid is carrying a major story about Kim and Kris Humphries and their troubled union. It seems like Kim and Kris are experiencing the dreaded ?Three Week Itch?. You know, that thing that EVERY married couple experiences when they realize that three weeks into the marriage that they only got hitched for ratings, a new storyline, free stuff and magazine covers? Or maybe the whole ?marriage in trouble? storyline was ALWAYS part of the deal, just another way that Ol? Kat-Face could remain ass-ahead of her sisters. Whatever the deal is, here?s what?s going down:
-Us Weekly says that Kris Humphries was “really rude” to a group of photographers waiting outside the rehearsal dinner before the wedding. A source gasps, “In Kardashianland, you just don’t do that.” Kourtney and Khloe think Kris is a “weird, big, clumsy oaf,” and have been giving him the cold shoulder, so it’s been super awkward having him around. Kim cut footage from the show because it was so tense between Kris and her family. “They were grilling him, and he was being a dick,” an insider says.
-Us Weekly also says that Kris thinks Kim is materialistic: Kim had a meltdown over losing a $75,000 earring in Bora Bora and Kris called her “materialistic.” In Bora Bora, there were rose petals on the bed, and Kim wrinkled her nose and declared them “messy.” But then Kris proposed with ? what else? ? rose petals. And! Kim told Kris that she can’t live a “lesser lifestyle,” which is code for “middle class.”
-In Touch says that Kim and Kris are having the “post-wedding blues.” The reality has set in, and it’s getting tense, because they have very different ways of living. Kim is worried about having to relocated to the middle of nowhere, if Kris gets signed by a team in an icky state. Also, Kim shops and shops and shops, while Kris is unemployed. They are married, “but financially they are divided,” says an insider. Also ? and perhaps worst of all ? “Kris snores like a freight train.”
-Star Mag confirms: ?Everyone in the family hates Kris,? a source close to the family tells Star. ?Kris and Kim?s brother Rob argue nonstop because Kris is always talking down to him ? Kris asked Khloe if her husband Lamar was gay and if their marriage was a cover-up. She was offended and really ticked off!? Kim’s mom has demanded that they “cool it” because “it may damage Kim’s reputation if viewers see how much the Kardashians dislike Kris.”
-Star?s sources also say that Kris is pissed off at the ?scripted? nature of EVERYTHING: ?Just days before walking down the aisle Kris freaked out. He’s sick of how their lives are planned out like a scripted TV show, he doesn?t like how their relationship is all for the cameras ?? Also, just days before the wedding, he freaked out. ?Kim? mom convinced him to go through with it.? Also, Kim told Kris she’d been planning this wedding since she was 10 years old, and he snapped: “Yeah, and you could just slot any guy into it.”
-Star says Kris is already flirting with other women: Right before Kim and Kris said ?I ?do?, Kris was reportedly spotted flirting with two mystery blondes at Hollywood hotspot Skybar at the Mondrian Hotel. ?I couldn?t believe it,? Skybar worker Steve Werner tells the magazine. ?Kris was there with one of his friends, and they were getting a ton of attention from the girls at the bar. Two blonde girls in particular caught Kris? eye, and they were getting a little too cozy, especially considering it was the week of his wedding. At one point he had an arm around each of the two blondes. They were laughing and drinking and kept asking to feel his muscles.?
-Miscellaneous: Kris is verbally abusive to Kim. He’ll roll his eyes when she talks. She’ll try on outfits, and he’ll say, “That looks terrible on you!” Plus, he was seen smoking a joint at the Skybar in Hollywood and no one does drugs in Kardashianland! There’s already talk of what will happen should they get divorced. In the prenup, she gets half his money, but he gets nothing of hers. Also: Kris isn?t wearing his wedding ring. ?The romance was so rushed,? a source close to Kris says. ?This marriage will not have a long shelf life.?

The lone desenter in the tabloid herd this week is OK! Mag, which claims that Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are in some kind of ?baby war? as to who can get knocked up the fastest. All three sisters seem to be talking about babies, thinking about babies, and actively trying to steal and eat babies (I?m assuming). Wouldn?t it be funny if the only stud sperm that worked in inhospitable Kardashian womb was that of Premo Stallone?

I hate the way Christina Hendricks looks in these photos. I hate it so much that at the end of the post, I?m going to include some of the days-old tit-buffet photos of Christina in the rose Vivienne Westwood, just because that?s the way I like my boob-tastic gingers: with their racks out and heaved to high heaven. These photos - of Christina in black and white - are from Tuesday, a celebration for Self Magazine. Hendricks was one of several women honored by the magazine for their work with non-profits and charities. Christina?s work is with the Make A Wish Foundation, which she supports through her work with Latisse Wishes Challenge. At the event, Christina told reporters:
?I?m taking a Make A Wish Foundation child to the Emmys on Sunday. That?s his wish. So I?m excited to grant that. He?s 19, he?s from Texas. He?s gonna have a good date. I get to meet him Saturday, we?re gonna go half lunch with his family and meet him, and brooks brothers is going to give him a tuxedo and we?re going to get him really set up, its gonna be fun.?
Um? he?s 19 and his ?wish? is to go to the Emmys with Christina? One of two things: he?s a sick-but-horny 19-year-old who loves boobs and just wants to spend an evening looking at the best pair in America; OR, he?s a sick-but-fabulous young man and he wants to give Christina some one-on-one criticism of her style. That conversation begins, in my mind, with, ?BITCH, I told you to wear a jewel tone. I don?t even want to be seen with your ass now.? But seriously, how cute is it that she?s bringing a Make A Wish kid to the Emmys? That?s really nice.

On her supporting part in Drive: ?To be honest, the real reason I did Drive was because of Nicolas Winding Refn, the director. I had seen Bronson and I was floored by it, and I said, “I want to work with this guy. I don’t care what it is.” And this is a smaller role, but I just wanted to be part of what he was doing, and it’s an instrumental role, and I think it’s really different than anything else I’ve ever done, and an opportunity to work with Ryan [Gosling] … there were so many reasons to do it. And I love that I actually have these coming out on the same night, on the opposite end of the spectrum of movies, both enjoyable in completely different ways.?
On Nicolas Refn wanting her for Wonder Woman: ?Sure! I grew up on the TV show, and I had Wonder Woman Underoos, and my brother had a Wonder Woman doll ? sorry, Aaron, you’re exposed. [Giggles.] And Nicolas said, when we were on set, “I want you to be Wonder Woman.” And I think he is such an extraordinary and exceptional director, that if he asked me to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat.?
Joss Whedon wants her for Wonder Woman too: ?I’d like to think that Joss would have cast me! I also loved working with Joss [on Firefly]. I’m excited to see what he does with The Avengers. Hopefully the stars would align [for Wonder Woman]. It would be really fun. It would be cool, wouldn’t it? I’d get to kick ass.
Christina on her Emmy chances: ?I?m not preparing a speech. There are some pretty extraordinary actresses in that category. I hate to say it, but I think it might be a long shot. But I?m super excited ? especially since the show is nominated, too.?
On her husband: “My husband does so much to help me, and I do as much to help him as possible. If one day he’s off from work, he’ll help me to do something ? and vice versa. We’ve been doing a lot of traveling and different jobs and going back and forth. I don’t freak myself out if something doesn’t happen.”
She?s not ready to have a baby: “At least not any time soon. I feel busy enough right now.”
More on her husband: Geoffrey Arend, 33, is “an amazing cook,” Hendricks said, so she’s trying to stop feeling guilty when he takes care of the groceries. “You don’t have to feel guilty about it. And sometimes, [he] really enjoys it! I think he’s surpassed me now in his culinary talents.”

I?m not sure if I want to see Christina do Wonder Woman. I?ve gone back and forth on it, considering people have been talking about it for a while. At first I thought it was a great idea, but?? Who doesn’t like Sofia Vergara? She’s gorgeous, funny, and altogether humble. While I still don’t understand why she appeared in The Smurfs, I can overlook such trivial mistakes if she stays fabulous. If her interview with The Advocate is any indication, Sofia demonstrates absolutely no problems in the fabulosity department. Unfortunately, there is no accompanying photoshoot, so you’ll have to make do with some candid shots from the last month or so of paparazzi rounds. Meanwhile, Sofia discusses some all-important matters such as gay rights, her gay following, and the semi-controversial matter of hoping that she doesn’t have any gay children. As to that last declaration, it’s better than it sounds, really:
On Her Gay Following: I’ve always had plenty of gay fans, even back in Colombia, probably because I’m voluptuous and a little over the top. Gay men always tell me how fabulous I am. I think they want to be Gloria. It’s great. But it’s a reality that more and more people are coming out, so I think it’s important to return their support. Oh, there aren’t that many [lesbian admirers], are there? That’s flattering. All my fans must be very respectful, because I’ve never had a guy or a girl come up and grab my ass.
On Why She Shot Her GLADD PSA In Spanish: Well, imagine how hard it is for Latin guys and Latin kids to be gay. Most of us are raised very Catholic, and the macho figure is very strong in our culture, so it’s still more taboo and a million times more dramatic to come out. Many gay friends have told me how hard it was for them to be open in the Latin community. Nothing?s going to change from one day to the other, so it’s a matter of doing things little by little. That’s why I love the gay couple in “Modern Family.” People always tell me, “We’ve never seen a normal, loving gay couple before!” They think gay people are just running around naked, partying in nightclubs. So it’s good for older people, especially those who aren’t exposed to a lot of gays like we are in the big cities, to see gay people portrayed in a beautiful way.
On Growing Up Catholic: I had the opportunity to be educated and to travel around the world with my family, and those things help. The more that you’re exposed to different things, you stop seeing them as weird. Besides, my family never had a bad experience with gays, because the gay people we knew were amazing, hardworking, and professional. The only thing is that, when I was younger, I remember thinking, I hope my son or daughter isn’t gay. Not because it’s a bad thing but because I knew how hard it is in the Latin culture to be gay. Life is already difficult, and it’s hard enough to find someone and be happy, so I thought that being gay would just triplicate the trouble.
On Her Gay Role: I did a movie called Grilled with Ray Romano and Kevin James that went straight to video. I played a transsexual, a guy who had gone all the way with the operation to become a woman. I had a great time playing that character. I look like a transsexual anyway. I’m a woman, but I’m super-exaggerated with my boobs, my ass, my makeup, and my accent. When I get ready for an event, I always look at myself in the mirror and say, “I look like a transvestite!” I love it.
On Friendship With Jane Lynch: It’s great. When we see each other, we kiss and hug each other. I really admire her. Her role on “Glee” is amazing, and you know what? She deserved to win. I love her. But yes, the media does seem to want us to have this funny rivalry, and I don?t mind.
On Her Girl Crush: I have many, but I love Halle Berry. She’s perfection. Every time I see her, I want to give her a standing ovation because she’s so flawless.

While some reactionists will take offense to Sofia saying that she grew up not wanting a gay child, I see what Sofia is saying in this interview. Of course, any sound bite would make it sound awful, but let’s just not go there, shall we? She meant no offense, but some people might still take it that way. As for Sofia’s quasi-lesbian tantasy, it’s interesting to see that she goes for the crazy ladies, which is the only natural conclusion to draw if she truly thinks Halle Berry is “perfection.” Physically yes, Halle is pretty close to perfect. Inside, not so much. However, let’s not get entirely hung up on that throwaway question and, instead, just take a peek at Sofia’s GLAAD public service announcement, which is uttered in that sumptuous accent:

Victoria Beckham speaks! It?s been happening with more frequency since she came to America, and now we have a plethora of new Victoria quotes, all from NYFW where Posh debuted her Fall/Winter VB line on September 11th. I think Victoria met with some influential publications and style people to promote her line, and I think she did all of the interviews with baby Harper Seven in her lap or in her arms. While wearing stilettos. Of course. I honestly don?t think there?s a quote in here that didn?t make me giddy:
Posh on how she?s perceived: “I’m not just that miserable cow, you know,” announced Victoria Beckham to a room of somewhat startled fashion editors, all perched primly on white sofas in a large Manhattan loft, as they awaited her latest fashion show. “And here, this dress?” continued Beckham as one model walked out. “It looks like a giant Faberg egg, doesn’t it? And this is our moon print. Which is great.”
Victoria on taking her daughter to Prada: ?We went in to Prada yesterday and she loved it. It was if she was saying, ?Mummy I’m home!??
On Harper?s first Fashion Week: ?I can’t leave her alone for a minute, I haven’t been without her since she was born nine weeks ago, she’s too wonderful to leave.?
Posh on ‘Victoria by Victoria Beckham’, her off-shoot, cheaper brand: ?This has been a real labour of love for me and we have been working on it for around a year. I wanted something that was a little bit more affordable but I did not want to compromise with design or quality. It’s not a second line, or a diffusion line - it’s another line, another side to my wardrobe. This is a way to give my customers what they want.?
On the shift in color palette: The emphasis was on loose, crepe, satin, jacquard and something called “summer wool” shifts that barely skimmed the body, some in rich colours such as Kelly green and deep blue, and some spattered with sweet cartoonish prints, a look heretofore verboten in the Beckham wardrobe. “I’m very into conversational prints this season,” Beckham said, wearing one of the cat print dresses herself.
Posh?s sidenote about cats: “I want a cat but David won’t let me have one ? he doesn’t want them bringing mice in the house. He’s a dog person,” she revealed.
Heels versus flats: Picking out a lovely black shift with scalloping around the neckline, she said: “I love this dress, I could wear this one with flats during the day and heels at night.”. It was a nice try on her part, but her claim to flats-wearing normality was slightly undermined by the fact that she was, at that moment, wearing gigantic stilettos while cuddling her nine-week-daughter, Harper.
Posh is self-obsessed: One of the last dresses was a simple white one which was downright Jackie O-like. Chic, simple and tasteful. “And you see the neckline? There’s a little V,” said Beckham, indicating a tiny dip in the centre. “It’s subtle branding.”

The part about Posh wanting a cat confused the hell out of me. What does she mean, ?he doesn’t want them bringing mice in the house?? Does she mean that David thinks cats will bring live mice into the house? Because that doesn?t happen. I?ve had a lot of cats in my life, and if you?re lucky enough to get a cat with a great hunting instinct, they?ll go outside and catch things, kill the things or leave them pretty close to dead, and then they?ll leave their kills outside of the door, like they?re giving you a present. It?s not like cats go outside, catch a live mouse, gently carry the mouse into the house and let it go. That has never happened to any cat-owner I?ve ever known. But if cats do catch something, they want you to see their kill and be proud of them.
Sigh? I miss having cats.

Stepping out to support their sister's runway debut, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian were dressed to kill as they left their New York City hotel on Wednesday night (September 14).
The E! babes turned heads as they headed over to the Sherri Hill runway extravaganza to watch 15-year-old Kendall Jenner strut her stuff, with the gig coming two days after fellow "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" family member Kylie's catwalk inauguration during the Abbey Dawn show.
Tweeting her excitement for Kendall, Kim happily wrote, "On our way to see @KendallJenner walk in her 1st fashion show! Remember how nervous she was months ago??? I'm so proud of her!"
With things going as well as could be hoped for, the E! beauty tweeted upon show's end, "Wow my little sis @kendalljenner faced her fears & killed it tonight on the runway!!!"

Stopping by for a media appearance, Heidi Klum took to The Grove in Los Angeles to film a segment for "Extra" earlier today (September 14).
The "Project Runway" host showed off her fab physique as she took to the sunny stage, wearing a swooping pale Pink top, green pants and platform pumps for her afternoon interview.
Aside from stepping out for the day's press outing, Heidi has doled out some advice to any of her female fans that may have been gifted something from their guy they didn't truly love, as she explained, "I think if you're a woman and a man buys something for you, you should be very thankful. And if you don't like it, suck it up, and put it on sometimes to make him feel good. Because otherwise, you will not see another jewelry present ever again!"
Miss Klum continued, "And sometimes, it's nice to wear what your other half likes. Because they're the ones who look at you all night! So why not?"

Setting off as she readies to get her "Femme Fatale" European tour underway in St. Petersburg, Russia on September 22nd, Britney Spears was spotted leaving Los Angeles via LAX Airport on Wednesday afternoon (September 14).
The "Hold It Against Me" singer showed off a makeupless look as she was joined by manager beau Jason Trawick while heading towards the metro terminal entrance.
Miss Spears' travels come as her eldest son, Sean Preston Federline, happens to be ringing in his sixth birthday today!
Sending her well-wishes to her growing boy, Britney proudly tweeted, "Preston Happy Birthday! My little baby is growing up so fast. I love you. Mommy."
