Of all the things that make me raise an eyebrow about Chrissy Teigen, her relationship with husband John Legend is not one of them. I think they adore each other and appreciate each other?s quirks and idiosyncrasies. I believe in the ?if it works for them? approach to relationships. There are a lot of things that Chrissy does that drive me crazy but I?m not married to her and John is clearly head over heels for her.
However, as Chrissy told us last December, this was not always the case. There was a brief period when John tried to break up with Chrissy and she wouldn?t allow it. It wasn?t so much a break in their relationship as it was a burp. John said he wanted to be single, Chrissy said, ?no,? and they were dating again before the end of the day. The whole thing took about a half hour ? about the time than it takes to have my legs waxed. Fortunately for them, it lasted much longer than my leg waxing because they are still together.
John was recently interviewed by The Guardian and they brought it up so he clarified about how fleeting the idea of splitting actually was. John said, ?I was really stressed and busy. I was just like: ?I?d just be happier single right now,? and she was like: ?No.’” When the headlines became ?Chrissy wouldn?t let John break up with her,? Chrissy decided to address it on Twitter in a way only Chrissy could:

Taylor Swift is still everywhere, but I appreciate the fact that she let her second single drop without a lot of back-and-forth from ?unnamed sources? to various outlets. It probably helps that her second single, ?…Ready For It?? is not about Kanye West or Kim Kardashian. It probably helps that RFI is actually a better song than ?Look What You Made Me Do.? Hilariously, Vulture?s music critic Frank Guan points out there are significant similarities between Taylor?s RFI and? Kanye West?s Yeezus. Which is amazing. And if RFI seems more radio-friendly and just, like, a better song, it?s because it was produced by super-producers Max Martin, Ali Payami and Shellback. It also seems like Taylor was also homage-ing the crap out of Sleigh Bells.
Many of you have been analyzing the lyrics and wondering which current or former boyfriend she?s singing about. Some said Harry Styles, some said Joe Alwyn, but am I the only who wondered if this was the long-awaited song about poor Conor Kennedy, the high schooler that Taylor had to sign out of prep school so they could go on dates? But in reality, Taylor wants us to know that it?s about Joe. She?s been ?liking? theories on Tumblr about how this song is about Joe. So now you know.
Meanwhile, Taylor is maybe-probably going to perform at the College Football National Championship in Atlanta, Georgia?
Taylor Swift is gearing up for a huge performance. A source tells ET that the 27-year-old singer will be performing at the College Football National Championship in Atlanta, Georgia, which is set to take place on Jan. 8, 2018.
?She will headline a concert in Centennial Olympic Park during halftime of the game,” the source says. “It will be a free concert. ESPN has her booked for the event and has a massive deal to release new music from [her upcoming album] Reputation through its college football coverage this season.”
According to the source, Swift can’t perform at the Super Bowl halftime because she has an endorsement deal with Coke, and the Super Bowl is sponsored by Pepsi.
“Taylor’s sponsors (UPS and AT&T) are two of the biggest NCAA Football advertisers on ESPN,” the source notes. However, ESPN tell ET that reports of Swift performing at the College Football Playoff National Championship are “inaccurate.”
“We are pleased that Taylor chose ESPN and ABC?s college football coverage as a platform to debut her new song ‘…Ready For It?’ however, there is nothing more to announce at this time,” ESPN said in a statement.

I think the back-and-forth between ET and ESPN is really just about how far away this is – I mean, January is months from now, and hopefully many indictments and impeachments from now. I don?t know what I?m going to be doing in January (Golden Globes/impeachment coverage?), but this sounds more like a ?sure, I?d love to perform there but I?ll wait to give you a hard confirmation when the date is closer.?

Cher is one of the many, many celebrities to take to Twitter and social media to vent frustrations over Donald Trump?s decision to end DACA, also known as the Dreamer program. Basically, Trump and Jeff Sessions have decided that the hundreds of thousands of immigrants who were brought to this country as children, who have lived and worked here most of their lives, they all need to leave. Cher has been tweeting about DACA a lot this week. This was one tweet she sent out:

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lawrence and that cast of ?mother!? at the Venice Film Festival. I?ve been writing it as ?Mother!? but the ?m? really is lowercase on purpose, apparently. Jennifer and her director lover Darren Aronofsky arrived in Venice a few days ago, along with castmates Javier Bardem (bueno) and Michelle Pfeiffer (guapa). First a note about the fashion – at the evening premiere, Jennifer wore this friggin? Dior ballgown which I flat-out HATE. Hate, hate, hate. At this point, J-Law honoring her Dior contract just triggers my gag reflex, because she inevitably gets the most twee, princess-y looks from the house and IT?S NOT WORKING. My kaiserdom for J-Law in a clean, simple Armani. Michelle kept it simple in a Michael Kors, btw.
As for mother! (God that title is annoying), Variety did an in-depth review after screening the film in Venice – go here to read. Some SPOILERS (just skip this paragraph if you don’t want even mild spoilers)…I found the Variety take very interesting, because the reviewer came away with this idea: the central mystery of the horror story is never answered. That mystery? Why Javier Bardem?s character is so hateful to his lovely young wife, played by J-Law. The reviews coming out of Venice are pretty good-to-mixed in general – go here for THR?s review, and here for Vanity Fair?s review. My take, having just skimmed the reviews? This film is not for me. And I find it creepy that J-Law ended up dating a writer-director who ?gave? her this part where she?s repeatedly punished for the crime of… renovating her house.
Here are some pics from the photocall earlier in the day. Jen wore a Giambattista Valli Resort 2018 dress which? should have been floor-length, then it would have been perfect. Whoever did her hair for the photocall did a bang-up job too.

Hilary Duff spent this past Labor Day at the beach with friends and family, including her ex-husband Mike Comrie. Hilary hung out mostly in the water with her son Luca and I can?t blame her ? this past weekend was brutal, weatherwise. Malibu generally gets lower temperatures than we do in LA but I think all of California was ready to break up with Mother Nature by Monday (actually, it?s California, so we were going to sue her). Anyway, Hilary and crew made the very wise decision to go to the beach and enjoyed what looks like a lovely Labor Day on the seashore, having a barbecue and playing football and volleyball.
Hilary Duffcelebrated Labor Day with her son at the beach, and buried any ill will for her ex-husband in the sand … all in the name of co-parenting.
Hilary and her ex,Mike Comrie, spent Monday in Malibu with their 5-year-old son,Luca. Hil was rockin’ her usual 2-piece in the water while Mike chilled onshore.
Getting together for some R&R with their kid is right up the former couple’s alley, post-divorce. They went on a family vacay last year to Maui

While this story may get little more than a shoulder shrug from most, remember that Hilary and Mike took two years to dissolve their marriage. The reason was a brief reconciliation that paused the divorce. But since their main issue was that Mike liked sex with other women so much he was willing to pay for it, the reconciliation didn?t work out. However, Hilary and Mike do things as a family all the time, like spending last Labor Day in Maui. They go to dinner, occasionally without Luca. Personally, I don?t think it means anything more than co-parenting as the article states. I think they are very good friends. I think they have always been good friends and that was likely why they considered reconciliation. Fortunately, it looks like Hilary understands how they function best, which is marvelous because it means they can coparent without having to worry if all is well romantically.
Hilary seems to be a person who can move past a relationship. Prior to her weekend with Mike and Luca, she was with her ex-boyfriend, Rise Nation?s Jason Walsh, for a charity event. Hilary, a Houston native, participated in a charity climb sponsored by Rise Nation to benefit the victims of Houston. Hilary posted this to Instagram:
