Taking to the sandy shore for some family fun in the sun, Gwen Stefani, hubby Gavin Rossdale and their adorable sons Kingston and Zuma were spotted out in Malibu, California on Sunday (August 28).
Ditching the 2011 VMAs for the beach, the No Doubt rocker showed off her killer bod in a slinky black bikini and flowing white skirt as she perused the beautiful locale alongside her loved ones.
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old mom's personal trainer, Mike Heatlie, has dished the details about keeping Gwen in top-notch form, telling Closer magazine it's all about balance.
?You need some carbohydrates. Anybody who says you don?t is wrong. I?ve tried eating no crabs and it?s not that productive ? but you should only eat them up until lunchtime."
He later added, ?Gwen follows a protein-based diet with vegetables. She has lots of salmon or chicken and vegetables at lunch and dinner, while omelettes, a protein shake or porridge make good breakfast choices.?

Shia Labeouf was escorted out of the LA opening of The Box after getting in an altercation with a friend of Marilyn Manson. Shia and the Manson friend exchanged words when Manson’s friend lunged over the table at Shia and Shia lunged back. Security broke it up before any punches were thrown.

They?re both huge names in the entertainment business, and last night (August 28) Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears were in attendance at the House of Hype VMA Awards after party.
The ?Toxic? mommy and the ?Zoey 101? star both hired babysitters in favor of getting in some sisterly bonding at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills.
And it sounds like it was quite a shindig- Katy Perry was honored for her awesomeness during the course of the night.
Additionally, Jamie Foxx gave a special performance, and stars like Akon, Malin Ackerman, Rose McGowan, and Emma Roberts all showed up.

You know I?m not some huge fan of the Gwen Stefani-Gavin Rossdale pairing. I don?t actively dislike either of them, and I occasionally wonder about the state of their marriage, or perhaps glance through some photos of their kids, but in general, I?m ?meh? on them. Gwen seems to have toned down her daily paparazzi-friendly jaunts, but I do wonder how photographers managed to take so many high-quality photos of Gwen and Gavin on the Malibu beach this weekend. Maybe Gwen and Gavin don?t care? but some of these photos look posed. Like, LeAnn Rimes-level posed.
Random thoughts about the photos? Gwen?s abdomen looks really great, especially given her age and the fact that she?s given birth twice. You have to spend time developing those ab muscles, and I?m jealous. Gwen?s abs look better than Gavin?s, although Gavin is no slouch either. In fact, I like him shirtless. He looks hot and tan.
Kingston is 5, Zuma is 3, by the way. Both of them get their hair professionally done, and they go with their mom to get their nails done too. It?s harmless, people! Although I do wonder - do you think Gwen really wishes she had at least one girl?

Pear-Ass wins again! Over the past few weeks, Jennifer Love Hewitt has been pap?ing herself endlessly in varying degrees of inappropriate clothing. I suggested that our Love might need to find herself a new hobby or project, like a new boyfriend. Love is more contained, more confident, less ?in your face? when she has a boyfriend. Well, guess what? She found one! Huzzah! J. Love was photographed over the weekend with this young dude, Jarod Einsohn. You can see the photos here, at the Mail.
Now, we?ve actually seen J. Love with Jarod before - he?s (allegedly) the boy in the photos in this post, and CB wrote about these pics a few weeks ago too. At the time, CB thought this kid might be J. Love?s brother, but Jarod and Love were kind of handsy when they went out this weekend, so I think they?re a couple. Both of them are on Twitter (here and here), but neither has said any kind of confirmation. Here?s a better photo of Jarod, from 2008:
He looks like a teenager in that pic, right? So how old is he? I have no idea. He doesn?t have a Wikepedia page, but he does have an IMDB page (here), where you can see how he?s not really an in-demand actor or anything, and the appropriate biographical information isn?t even filled out. My real guess for his age is? about 24 or 25. J. Love is 32. It?s not that bad, I guess. The kid just LOOKS really young.
So? congrats to J. Love for getting herself a boyfriend. Not quite a cougar, not quite jailbait, but it?s not like this kid has a lot going on, so maybe he?ll last a little while.

Chelsea Handler and a “dude with gold shoes” were escorted out of a stall in the men’s room by the bouncer at the Frying Pan Bar last Monday.
Handler was there for a party for Standard Hotel employees on the restored boat in the Hudson River, docked north of Chelsea Piers, with her boyfriend Andre Balazs.
A spy said Handler started her night out with vodka on the rocks and was ?totally cool and unassuming.? But things apparently got wilder later in the evening. — Page Six
No word on what Handler was doing in the men’s room, coke or sex, but I assume it’s coke because you got to be high as hell to go into a stall with Chelsea Handler.

These photos of Colin Farrell’s hot arms while he’s out on Toronto remind me of that video of Ryan Gosling breaking up a fight. (I wrote “Ryan Reynolds” at first. Poor Ryan Gosling.) I was so surprised to see how huge Ryan’s arms were that at first I thought Ryan was another guy in the video. Colin is more filled out than I would have guessed, but he’s not as buff as Ryan. He looks really good here apart from the goofy tattoo. It says “Rita” in the middle, which is his mom’s name and Jimmy Jr., his first son, is inscribed across the bottom. I can’t read the other name at the top.
Anyway the real story is that you can see the outline of Colin’s bulge in these workout pants. I was so mesmerized by his tight torso that I almost missed it. Kaiser is telling me he’s nicely endowed, since I defer to her to judge dong size. So I guess we know where he gets that swagger.
Colin is in Toronto filming that Total Recall remake, which Len Wiseman is directing and which also stars Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Cranston and Jessica Biel. I don’t remember the original at all and I don’t consider it a classic so I couldn’t care less if it gets remade.
Fright Night came out a week and a half ago and it’s only made about $14.2 million after a $30 million budget. I should go see it while it’s still at the movies. Or maybe I’ll wait for the DVD. Hopefully they’ll make up some of that budget in DVD sales. If they’re smart they’ll put it out around Halloween.

These are new photos of Sarah Jessica Parker at the Moscow premiere of I Don?t Know How She Does It. SJP is wearing Giambattista Valli - which is okay. I don?t really think it?s her color, but I like the dress a lot. It would have looked great on SJP in a blue or purple, not this orange-red. Also: I dislike her hair here - she looks so much better with soft hair, and I have no idea why she scrapes everything back like this. And the cape is a bit much, but I think I know the reason for it, which I will get to in a moment. First, SJP wants us to know that all of those rumors about a third Sex and the City film are just that - rumors. Nothing more:
Sarah Jessica Parker may have recently said there?s more of the story to tell for ?Sex and The City,? but as of right now, there are no plans to share that vision wide with a third big screen installment.
?I don?t know of a movie in the imminent, or near, or even distant future,? Sarah Jessica Parker told Access Hollywood on Thursday in New York City as she promoted her upcoming box office feature, ?I Don?t Know How She Does It.?
Sarah Jessica said she and the ?SATC? team would know when the time is right.
?I?ve always trusted that we?ve had a sense of when that timing, what is the right timing for a movie,? she said.
?Honestly, I?m not being cagey,? she continued. ?There is no discussion currently of a ?Sex and The City 3. Do I hold it out in my future in some way as a possibility? Of course.?
As for when it might take shape, Sarah Jessica had no answers, but she does know when it won?t happen.

So, we can all breathe a sigh of relief on that one. Hopefully, nothing will happen and we?ll be spared another cat-faced monstrosity masquerading as feminism.
Which brings me back to SJP and why she?s wearing a cape. A few days ago, paparazzi got shots of SJP in a sleeveless top, and HER ARMS. The photos are below, but just beware: you cannot un-see this. Whatever is happening with her arms is much, much worse than Madonna. And Angelina. And whoever else you?re thinking of. Now, I?m not saying every woman over a certain age should cover her arms - I?m seriously NOT saying that. I?m just saying that for SJP, she might think about wearing sleeves more consistently. And putting on a little weight too.

This plain lace Azzedine Alaia dress looks like something from the sale rack at Forever 21. She could have saved it with some hot fashion-forward shoes, but instead she chose these terrible light brown lace up boots! What was she thinking?

Katie presented the video of the year, which Katy Perry won for Firework. Her voice cracked a lot and she looked pretty nervous up there to me. I guess she’s promoting that Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark movie, which was out this Friday. It pretty much tanked at the box office and came in third after The Help and Columbiana. She’ll have to ditch her husband if she wants her career back. It worked for Nicole Kidman. She can act though.

Kicking off the week with a trip to the movies, Brad Pitt was spotted at a cinema in Richmond, London, England today (August 29).
The ?Fight Club? stud looked to have his hands full as his kids Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne, Knox, and Maddox all came along for the ride.
As for his current project ?World War Z,? it seems Brad played the part of hero to an extra who fell during production last week.
An insider told press, ?It was total chaos as 700 extras were trying to get down the street ? they were banging into moving cars, cameras and military who were carrying heavy machine guns. Lots of people hurt themselves, and Brad came to the rescue of a woman who slipped.?
?I don?t think she could believe it when Brad picked her up. He didn?t have time to speak to her as it was mid-shoot. But she said afterward how grateful she was, despite having a badly-grazed knee.?

We’re trying to figure out how to break up the “fashion” from last night’s VMAs, and I put fashion in quotes because no one really brought it, in my opinion. First off we have Miley Cyrus in a curious light blue Cavalli gown that mixed some kind of tiger/leopard/tree bark print at the bodice with a floral Asian motif along the skirt. At least it was demure, I’ll give her that, but it looked even worse from the back with that weird pattern continuing down in a thick stripe and clashing with the flowers. She paired it with some big dangling gemstone earrings and a diamond Lorraine Schwartz necklace, and it was over accessorized. She looked really happy and relaxed though. I find Miley very likable lately.
Demi Lovato’s little silver Mandalay dress was way too tight, low cut and flashy. She’s probably going for “grown up” but it just makes the mom in me kick in and want to tell her to go back up to her room, wipe some of that gunk off her face and cover up. She turned 19 a month ago, though, so I guess it’s her prerogative. At least it’s not another mullet dress.
Speaking of mullet dresses, little Selena Gomez committed that offense yet again. She looks like a newly introduced teen vampire on a CW show who’s about to get a three episode story arc before biting it in a disgusting blood-spewing death scene. She wore this gothic Julien Macdonald lace number. The high neckline with the lace, the sparkly vines and the feather-like parts is just bizarre. It also features cut-out lace sections around the bodice. Justin must have been staring at her cleavage all night in that ugly dress.
It looks passable from the side I guess.
And finally Justin Bieber tried to work a casual look in a black blazer, loose red pants, leopard-print sneakers and sexy librarian glasses. He won best male video for “You Smile.” In his acceptance speech he thanked God then Jesus “because, you know, I wouldn’t be here without him. He’s really blessed me, put me in this position.” Then he said he was sharing his award with all the other nominees. Here’s his acceptance speech, which was full of award show cliches but gratefully short. Justin brought a little pet snake with him for some reason, and he said the snake’s name was Johnson. So stupid.

Katy Perry brought three costume changes and her husband to the VMAs last night, and only the costume changes wanted to be there. Maybe Katy and Rusty were just having an off-night. Maybe Rusty is really screwing around on Katy with that blonde chick. Maybe I?m misreading it. But it just seemed like Rusty was over it. Anyway, Katy walked the black carpet in Atelier Versace. I? uh? didn?t hate it. Katy did the faux Pop Art/cartoon thing and it kind of worked. The little dress kind of worked on her. My biggest complaint about this look was Katy?s hair and her makeup. First of all - that?s really her hair, isn?t it? That?s not a wig. And that?s why it looks so bad and damaged. She should really take better care of her hair, you know? The makeup - it was just oo matchy-matchy, the perfect shade of blue and Pink to match the dress. It was overkill.
After that, Katy changed into a Tom Ford (purple gown), a Dior (skirt and cardigan ensemble), and a Johnny Wujek dress for her win for Video of the Year (for ?Firework?). The Wujek dress is below - it?s my least favorite. My favorite is the Versace.
Katy also won Best Collaboration, for ?E.T.? with Kanye West. Kanye seemed to be in especially good spirits last night, hanging with Jay-Z, showing humility when he won with Katy, and supporting his friends and fellow artists. Kanye was on his best behavior, basically. I just thought I?d mention it.

Elizabeth Banks is a curious little number, for she has a tendency to appear on the red carpet and in magazine shoots looking like a very prim and proper lady. Then, one only needs to catch a glimpse of the bathtub scene in The 40-Year-Old Virgin to realize that Banks has a risque minx hiding inside of her. And it doesn’t stop there, for Banks has previously talked before with Esquire about the concept of “good naked vs. bad naked.” Now, Banks sits down again with the men’s magazine to promote her new movie, My Idiot Brother (which, sadly, debuted in sixth place over the weekend) and talk about, among other things, why she finds sex to be absolutely hilarious:
On Why Sex Is Funny: Well, it’s a fairly ridiculous act. I mean, let’s be honest: It’s a very primal thing that you’re doing and it involves, you know — it’s what they call bumping uglies, which sort of puts it in the right place. It’s a horrifyingly embarrassing act. It’s the most vulnerable you can be as a person, I think.
On The Appeal Of “The Hunger Games”: There’s no one thing. Just read the books. I didn’t know anything about Twitter at the time, but he was following me, thinking it was me. And this person tweeted, “Hanging out by my pool! Just chilling on Saturday!” And David Wain was actually hanging out by my pool, on Saturday, and I wasn’t there. I was in New York or something. And so he was like, “Huh, I don’t think you’re Elizabeth Banks.” And this person broke down, and said, “No I’m not Elizabeth Banks. I started this because I’m a fan and now I have all these followers and I don’t know what to do.” David called me and said, “Do you want me to broker the password away from this guy and get your identity back on Twitter?” And he did! So, yeah: I got Twitter identity theft.
On Television Vs. Film Work: I love the finality of film. When you make a movie, you know the beginning, middle, and end. Television, one week you think you’re a single child from Alabama, and then they throw in your secret brother, your half-sister, your drunk mom. Like, on “30 Rock,” who knew I was gonna end up married to Kim Jong-un?

Banks is pretty correct about sex as a ridiculous act when you really think about the mechanics of it, right? As far as Twitter impersonations go, that particular problem was pretty widespread while the social media site started to become more popular, but I think “verified” accounts have helped cut down on a lot of the riff raff. Kim Kardashian flew solo at last night?s VMAs for whatever reason - I have no idea where poor Kris Humphries, her husband of less than two weeks, was last night. Kim poured herself into this silvery Kaufman Franco gown, and she was one of the few women to go full-length last night. Kim isn?t a consistent over-dresser, but she has been doing more long gowns lately, for occasions that don?t really call for them. Perhaps it has something to do with her psoriasis? She doesn?t want to show her legs.
So? are we going to talk about how Kim has gained weight? How this dress is really unflattering because it gives the illusion of ?fat rolls? throughout her midsection? Are we going to talk about her ?size 4? spilling out all over the place? God, I just don?t know. If you start attacking Kim?s curves, I will defend her. But if you want to go after her over her delusional self image, her outright lies about her size and her unfortunate choice to wear a too-small dress to the VMAs, go ahead.
It?s really bad from behind too! I?m not talking about the ass, I?m talking about the netting and the way the dress is cut. It?s really, really trashy. The Kardashian women just make everything look so bad, though.

Hate the peep-toe ankle booties, but I like everything else. I think for where she is in her life, and how little expectations there are for her, Britney Spears had a pretty good show last night. The dress was Moschino, and although I wasn?t in love with it, I liked it on Britney. It covered her up the right amount, and it was still rock n? roll and a little bit sexy. Her busted weave was having a good night too - it looked clean and fluffy, and Britney?s makeup was nice too. The only thing I really have to say is that I wish she had just worn normal heels rather than these booties, which cut off her legs and make them look ?thicker?.

Zoe Saldana is still trying to make this lead actress thing happen. And she?s finding mild success, I suppose. Her new film, Colombiana, made about $10 million over the hurricane-soaked weekend, which is pretty decent when you consider that A) Most people don?t give a crap about Zoe Saldana and B) It looked like a bad movie. Zoe is still giving interviews in support of the film too. Hey, remember Zoe?s GQ piece where the GQ writer compared her to Angelina Jolie, and I pointed that out and every commenter wept and cried and ?corrected? me by saying that Zoe never compared herself to Angelina? Well, guess who?s comparing herself to Angelina now?
Zoe Saldana is “scared” by comparisons people have made to her and Angelina Jolie.
The ‘Avatar’ actress has been called the “new Angelina Jolie” by some critics after playing a revenge-seeking assassin in new movie ‘Colombiana’ - and she explained the association makes her feel a bit uncomfortable, despite being inspired by such stars.
She told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column: “If I think about it in that fashion than yes (it’s scary,) I wouldn’t want to think about it in that way. But I have been inspired by amazing actresses that have taken amazing risks and opened amazing doors, and I am a product of that and I am honored to be included in a group of women that have defied their own gravity. Besides playing amazing character roles they also have an amazing agility to do action.”
The 33-year-old beauty prefers performing her own stunts, much like Angelina, although she admitted it can be “exhausting”.
She added: “Thank God no permanent injuries, but I was definitely very, very sore. It’s always a lot of work and its exhausting while you’re doing it and your training for it.”

Zoe is predictably full of herself (as she always is), but she says a few things that make absolutely no sense to me. Like? people who hate America are racist? What?s that again? On fighting her: ?I don?t mean to be cocky, but nobody would want to fight me. On Colombiana, I spent ten hours a day for a month working with the man who trained Matt Damon for The Bourne Identity.?
On James Cameron and Avatar: ?James Cameron didn?t scare me. You hear stories about him being a tough guy to work for, but he?s very humble. When he walks into a room his presence is undeniable, so at first when you meet him it?s kind of confusing ? should I be scared? No, the thing is, you should be yourself and James respects that. He?s very passionate about what he believes in and he?s super-talented, but he also respects people who stand up for their beliefs. Usually, though, he?s right. We?re hoping to do Avatar 2 next year. James is working on the script now and I?ve missed playing Neytiri. I can?t wait.?
On anti-Americanism and racism: ?It?s trendy to hate Americans right now. Deep down, some people are enjoying the fact that the most powerful nation on Earth is struggling a little ? and then they deny that?s racist! And that frightens me. I?ve witnessed racism all my life. And of course there?s racism and discrimination in Hollywood. You go for a part and they say, ?Oh, we really liked her, she?s amazing, but we wanted to go with something more traditional.? As if I?m not a traditional American! I feel sorry for people like that. They need to educate themselves. Mostly you move on and say, ?Well, I wasn?t meant to work with you or be around someone like you?? Other times you might say, ?You?re ignorant, you?re a racist. That?s it. I?m out of here!??
On sci-fi versus costume dramas: ?Jane Austen is great, but stories set in space are so much better. I?m a massive sci-fi fan. When they were prepping me to go on the Star Trek tour, some of the marketing people asked me to say that Star Trek was a great film for women to see. And I said, ?Why would I do that? Aren?t they coming anyway?? I honestly thought every girl loved sci-fi. I was raised in a home where we watched 2001, Blade Runner, ET, and my heroes were Ripley and Sarah Connor (from the Alien and Terminator films), and I thought all girls were like that. I mean, are we only meant to read Jane Austen??
On politics: ?We?ll definitely have a woman President in my lifetime. I just hope she?ll be a good leader. Some Republicans say, ?Oh, you voted for Obama because he?s black.? And that?s so offensive and condescending. I voted for him because he represents the things I believe in. And when it comes to a woman standing for President, I won?t campaign for her just because she?s a woman; I?ll campaign for her if I believe she?d be a good leader. Women have to stand up for what?s rightfully ours: equality. We don?t hate men ? I certainly don?t ? it?s just about getting respect.?

The only explanation I have is that Zoe thinks that people hate America because we have a black president? Is that what she?s saying? I don?t think people hate America because we have a black president, and I don?t think anti-Americanism is rooted in race either. I mean, plenty of people hated America when Dubya was president too. RACIST!!

I didn’t watch the VMAS on Sunday night because I had better things to do like stare out the window. Luckily I didn’t miss much as one of the few exciting things to happen, and “exciting” in this case is relative, was Beyonce announcing her pregnancy. This will be her and Jay-Z’s first kid.
Beyonc, 29, posed for photos with her hands cradling her belly, teasing, “I have a surprise!”
“I’m happy to say it’s true,” her rep confirms to PEOPLE.
Later, during the show, she performed “Love on Top,” introducing the song by telling the Nokia Theatre LA Live crowd, “I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.”
After her song, she unbuttoned her sparkling jacket and rubbed her stomach. The crowd roared.
Way to beat a dead camel. What did she do next? Point to herself after asking the crowd who has two thumbs and a fetus inside them?

I. Was. Wrong. I just want to get that out there, right at the start. Beyonce has been talking about babies for so many years, I just thought she would be one of those celebrities who would be forever ?all talk, no action?. But I was wrong - Beyonce is pregnant! She announced it in an interesting way - by rubbing her belly/womb area on stage at the VMAs. It was actually? kind of cute. Beyonce was introduced by Britney and Gaga (still in her drag king Jo Calderone costume), and when Bey was singing ?Love On Top?, I thought the highlight would be the cutaways - Adele singing and dancing along with Bey, and then Gaga hanging with Kanye and Jay-Z (and having a drink, it looked like). When Bey finished the song, she looked down at Jay, smiled and rubbed her bump. Kanye and Jay both went a little bit crazy, and it was seriously very sweet. Oh? I guess Bey announced it on the black carpet before her performance too?? I missed most of the preshow. I was watching The Tillman Story (it was more interesting than Selena Gomez, let me tell you).

But it wasn’t one of the pop diva’s signature show-stopping performances that had people talking. Instead, it was Beyonc’s burgeoning belly bump, swathed in an orange gown.
