Aside from her acting abilities, Sofia Vergara is a household name when it comes to her stunning good looks and knock out curves, so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that she's starting her own shape-wear line.
Dishing about her new fashion endeavor, the "Modern Family" star told Women's Wear Daily, "My shapewear launch is very exciting and really fun for me because the colors and materials are so sexy."
"I'm not really a designer, but my lines are based on what I like and what I wear," Sofia added. "We have a lot of meetings and all of the product gets tried on by me."
The new nine-piece collection, which will be sold exclusively at K Mart, will feature bustiers, toning bodysuits, thigh slimmers, and more which will range from $14.99 to $23.99.
The shape-wear line will join Vergara's already-established fashion collection, Sofia by Sofia Vergara, and is set to hit Kmart stores this June.

Star Magazine named Gwyneth Paltrow their Most Hated Celebrity in Hollywood last week. Star didn’t release their judging criteria so we’re all left to speculate what exactly made her worse than Lindsay Lohan. The $100 dishes she recommends? The $2,000 outfits she suggests to non-celebrities? The celebrity bubble she lives in? No one really knows.
On the flip side, PEOPLE just named Gwyneth Paltrow 2013?s Most Beautiful Woman. “She may be hated, but damn, is she pretty,” is what we’re saying I guess. Naturally, Paltrow tries to downplay her looks saying at home, she’s just like us. Except, richer and better and nothing like us.
“Around the house, I’m in jeans and a T-shirt. I don’t really wear makeup. That’s what they’re used to,” she says. As for her husband, Chris Martin, “He’ll make a joke about it. If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like, ‘Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!’ Because he’s used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair.”
That’s the good and bad of marrying a celebrity. You’re so used to seeing them dressed up that when you see them in bed the next morning, you can’t help but let out an “uggggh.” I suggest keeping some makeup on the nightstand and putting it on her before she wakes up. Much like I do with my mannequins while they sleep.

These photos are like heartbreakingly beautiful, right? These photos look like an ad for Levis. Or good parenting. Or diapers. David Beckham decided to take Harper Seven out for a walk in London this morning and something about light? something about how Harper reacts to her daddy? something about the way he looks at her? God, I might need to have a wistful cry. Yes, I?m PMSing, but these photos are pretty awesome too.
We don?t say this enough, but I do think Beckham (both Beckhams, actually) are pretty awesome parents. They both seem incredibly hands-on, they both seem demonstrative and affectionate with their children. David and Posh just seem to love their kids in a very real way. I?m sure they?re not the only celebrity parents who are this hands-on, but they?re a really good example of it.
Something else that will make you smile wistfully as you dab your eyes? David has a band-aid on his finger. It?s a Dora the Explorer band-aid!!!! OMG.

Here are some photos from last night?s Time Magazine ?100 Most Influential People? Gala in NYC. This is not a fashion event. You can tell because the fashion is AWFUL and because Sen. Rand Paul was there. Sen. Paul is on the list? and Claire Danes is not. Claire was there to honor Lena Dunham, I think? Anyway, Claire wore this Lanvin dress which I had to examine very closely. Maybe it?s just me, but I?ve starting to think that Lanvin really sucks. Much like Erdem, it?s become a really overrated label and this dress is a good example why. Claire can wear all kinds of looks and pull them off ? she?s just got that kind of body and face. But even she can?t pull off this fugness. It?s like they were trying to make a hideous dress and Claire is trying to be avant-garde by wearing it. Her husband looks cute though!
Here?s Lena Dunham in Saint Laurent. This just looks awful on her. I think I?m starting to ?get? what she?s aiming for, style-wise, but I wish she would rethink the look she?s failing to pull off. Instead of going for some twee hipster look, I wish she would aim for ?classic, flattering?. I do think her hair looks sort of cute here though.

Lauren Graham covers the May issue of More magazine, and it’s hard to believe that this woman is 46 years old. She looks fantastic! Lauren is promoting “Parenthood” — I think — which is the only thing that her IMDb profile reveals that she’s been working on besides a Christmas-type movie. Speaking of that holiday, I know that a lot of you harbor a lot of affection for her role in “Gilmore Girls,” but I enjoyed her quite a bit in Bad Santa even though that was a much naughtier turn.
Lauren does mention in this interview that she was just finished writing her first novel at the behest of one Diane Keaton, so that’s something to look forward to. Also, Lauren discusses how the past few decades as an actress have taken a toll on her eating habits. That is, she says she’s been on a neverending diet for 35 years. I hope that’s an exaggeration because that would mean she’s been dieting since about age 11. Luckily, her rack has not been affected by such drastic measures as you can see from the below sample picture from the photoshoot. Here are some excerpts:
She never lets herself eat like crazy: “I’ve been on a diet for 35 years.”
On getting older: “I’ve spent a lot of time wondering, ‘What’s going to happen? I try not to allow myself to do that much anymore. I think I’ve gotten more comfortable with the unknown.”
She gets frustrated with career slowdowns: “Acting is the most bizarre profession. You can stay in it for years and not really be in it and be waiting for someone to give you an opportunity. It’s like when I watch ‘American Idol’ and see people who have been told to believe in themselves at all costs: It’s not always a good idea.”
She’s also a writer: The actress recently penned her first novel, Someday, Someday, Maybe. Graham was inspired to pursue her passion for words by Diane Keaton, who played her meddlesome mother in 2007?s Because I Said So. “If she had told me to consider a career in banking, I would have done that. I wanted to write about the tiny, tiny progress and the complete unknown of wanting to follow any impossible dream.”

Hmm. I think Lauren might actually be joking about the 35-year diet because she's never appeared overly skinny, right? Maybe she just watches what she eats and calls it a diet. She doesn't have the strung-out look of a Goop who completely obsesses over food and punishes herself with daily two-hour workouts after taking a bite of fried chicken. Here are some photos of Shakira at her perfume launch last month in Paris. Notice that she is wearing leather pants after having given birth in late January to her first child, a baby boy named Milan. I’m always struck by Shakira’s offbeat beauty, but I just have to say that I miss her as a brunette. She looks so much better with her natural hair color than that straw-colored mess that she’s been sporting for the past handful of years. Go back to brown, Shakira!
As part of a recent NBC promotion where Shakira was in attendance as part of “The Voice” judging panel, Shakira talked a lot to Us Weekly about how how reality as a mother compares to her expectations. Naturally, the subject of post-baby bodies came up too, and here are some excerpts:
On the reality of a baby: “I didn’t expect babies to need so many diapers! Nobody told me they needed to be changed so often! I mean he’s a great, great baby. He’s an easy one, I think. But nobody told me it would be this hard. It takes a lot of energy from you. But I love it, I’m really enjoying every bit of it. It’s just that it’s not as idyllic as everybody tells you, but also not as horrible as everyone tells you.”
On getting her pre-baby body back: “I mean, I guess our mothers and grandmothers weren’t under the pressure that women of today are after delivering a baby. My dad says that there’s nothing better than a little meat on the bone! He likes my mom a little chubby. So she was never under the pressure to get back to her old weight, and she never did, actually! But it’s different, I have a career, and that’s the only part that’s been a bit stressful because I knew that I’d have to come back here to do ‘The Voice’ two months after I delivered a baby. I didn’t have my four months maternity like every woman on earth has. So I’m not trying to complain, but it’s been a process full of challenges in my life. I’m still a few pounds over! Zumba has been pretty great for me even during pregnancy. I did it almost until the end.”
Balancing motherhood & work: “Thank God the father is very involved. He has been amazing. The baby spends as much time with me as he does with his dad. He’s the kind of dad who’s full hands on. He changes diapers, he bathes him, he enjoys playing with the baby, he enjoys feeding him, all of that stuff. So that’s great help for me, you know. I can’t imagine doing all of this and not having the father do his part of the job. So that’s a huge help to me.”

First off, I think that “four months of maternity” is a myth … at least in the United States. Twelve years ago, I got six weeks paid leave in my then-salaried job, but I could have chosen to take up to three full months at incrementally lower percentages of pay as the time passed. Is that how it still works? I don’t plan on having any more kids, so it shall remain a mystery to me. One kiddo is enough for my attention span, thank you very much.
As for Shakira “complaining but not complaining” about how soon she returned to work after giving birth, well, that was totally her choice. Nobody made her sign onto replace Christina Aguilera last September when she was already four or five months pregnant. Shakira is a multi-millionare already, so she could quit working right now and have enough money to live on forever. Obviously, she wants to work, but I’m not going to feel sorry for her at all for voluntarily starting a new gig immediately after becoming a first-time mother.

I really like all of the discussion about how Reese Witherspoon can attempt to ?come back? from her arrest and image crisis disaster. LaineyGossip suggested that Reese would be smart to give People Magazine a series of exclusives to reinforce her ?down-home church-going soccer mom? image, and I?m sure those are coming. I think Reese?s damage control has already begun as soon as a ?source? told People (on Monday afternoon) that Jim Toth might end up in rehab. But what?s missing from the discussion is a first-hand account (not just the police report) of just HOW drunk and rednecky Reese was during her debauched Georgia night. Thankfully, People Magazine is also accepting stories from the Atlanta police:
It’s certainly not from a red carpet. Still, Reese Witherspoon’s booking photo with her eyes cast down has to be among the more unusual celebrity mugshots.
“She was wobbly,” explains a police source within the Atlanta Department of Corrections. “She didn’t need help walking, but she wasn’t at a point where we could get a really clear picture.”
The actress and husband Jim Toth were arrested early Friday morning after he was pulled over under suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Atlanta. In her apology for her behavior, she said she “clearly had one drink too many.”
According to the source, police took more than one photograph and chose the best one.
“On another picture, she sort of bent down at the waist and we got the top of her head,” says the source. “She wasn’t being difficult or rude, but her motor skills weren’t what they needed to be.”
The unorthodox picture has the Atlanta police and legal communities talking ? and wondering if Witherspoon got preferential treatment.
“You can’t look down in the photograph,” says Atlanta criminal defense attorney Peter Odom. “The whole point of a mugshot is for identification purposes. To my knowledge, there is no exception to this rule. When someone is in custody, there isn’t a lot of personal space. They will grab your head and move it into the right position to get the right mugshot. But in this case, protocol was definitely not followed.”
The charges against Witherspoon were minor, says the source, so there was no need to force the issue and make the star stare dead ahead.
“This isn’t a big case and there’s not much more investigation that has to be done,” says the source, “so getting a clear picture of the suspect looking at the camera wasn’t absolutely necessary.”

Am I the only one who finds this kind of story fascinating? Like, Reese is drunkenly slurring out ?Do you know who I am?!? and she?s so wasted she can?t even stand up for her mugshot?
