In a recent interview with Marie Claire, January Jones came off as sort of a bitch saying the girls in her high school were bitches because she was pretty. Talking with Shortlist, Zach Galifianakis reveals why he thinks January Jones may be a true bitch.
In the interview, Zach was asked about January calling him the most “naturally funny” man she’d ever met. The question left Zach confused because she was everything but nice to him when they met.
“That’s really funny because, if I remember correctly, she and I were very rude to each other. It was crazy,” he explains. “I was at a party?I’d never met her?and she was like, ‘Come sit down.’ So I sit at her table and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, ‘I think it’s time for you to leave now.’ ”
And what did he come back with?
“So, I say, ‘January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f–king be nice’ and I got up and left. And she thinks that’s funny?”
This may be the reason she was cast as the Ice White Queen Emma Frost in the upcoming X-Men: First Class. Although, to be fair, Zach didn’t say what was said before Jones told him to leave. He could have told her he wanted to stab her throat with his penis for all anyone knows. Or maybe January Jones is really good at dead panning and Zach took it the wrong way. Which would be ironic. Or she could just be a complete bitch like every report suggests. I mean, who are we supposed to believe? A bunch of first hand accounts or assumptions from a blogger based on nothing?
This may be the reason she was cast as the Ice White Queen Emma Frost in the upcoming X-Men: First Class.

Rimes looked nothing short of amazing, showing off her fabulous form in a skimpy swimsuit while they sipped cocktails at the jacuzzi.
Back in the States, LeAnn has put her Tennessee dream home up for rent after unsuccessfully trying to sell it. The cost? $25,000 per month!

And last night, Beyonce was presented with the Billboard Millennium Award by her mother, Tina Knowles.
She also received praise from a handful of stars including First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, The Dream, Bono, Babyface, Stevie Wonder, her sister Solange and her son Daniel.

Gwen Stefani is starting to bug me. As Kaiser noted in our last post on her, she showed up at two premieres at Cannes looking all dolled up like she’s an actress who is actually starring in a movie showing at Cannes. Only she’s a singer and she’s there to support her friends. That’s fair enough, she’s famous and people want to take her picture, except she kind of pushed it over the edge for me with this latest batch of photos.
Here is she is on a boat at Cannes with her older kid. You might think that she’s just hanging out and happening to get papped, but she knows the photographers are there and she’s facing them and posing and sticking her ass in the air. She looks good and she knows it and she wants to show it off. If she only showed up at one premiere at Cannes, or if we didn’t see photos of her out with her with her kids playing happy family at the park constantly I would just shrug and move on. These pictures were staged, though, two of our photo agencies had them, and they’re like the second set of Gwen on a boat in her bikini during this vacation. Does she get to write the whole thing off since she’s getting so much publicity out of it?

Chelsea Handler gave an interview to the New York Times a few days ago, and I just now got a chance to skim it. It?s written in an odd way? like, I find the NYT interviewer WAY more annoying than I find Chelsea, and usually she?s the one who plucks my last nerve. I don?t know if Chelsea was drunk or hungover or she was just over the super-solicitous reporter, but Chelsea seemed different in this peace. Not nicer or less bitchy, she just explains her point of view in a more interesting way than I?ve heard from her. Of course, it becomes clear that Chelsea is totally over the E! gig. She wants to do movies. She wants to have a show on HBO. She thinks she?s a star! Oh, how much would I love to see Chelsea fall flat when she tries to branch out? Mean? Sure. Whatever. Handler on her relationship with Andr Balazs, and whether she?ll ever use him for comedy: ?I won?t be doing that with Andr? [you draw the line] when they ask you to,? she said with a curt laugh. ?No, he didn?t ask, but if somebody asks you not to speak about them ? or make fun of them publicly, I should say ? then you try to respect that. Obviously you can?t avoid that entirely, because I?m not a liar and I?m not going to lie about anything, really. But, yeah, I won?t be discussing our personal life ? before, during or after our relationship.?
On being over her E! show: ?There?s only so much of this nonsense you can talk about before your brain starts to feel like it?s bleeding,? she said.
She wanted to be an actress first, and now she?s doing movies, like a part with Reese Witherspoon in This Means War: ?The fact that I did standup at all was that I was just out of ideas,? she said. And what she discovered doing standup was not only her voice, but that she liked being in control as well. ?Nothing goes on the air or in the books that I don?t approve,? she said. ?With every facet of everything, I?m in charge, and that?s the way I like it.? And did she think she needed acting classes to prepare for a movie?
Ms. Handler chuckled. ?I don?t take it that seriously. You can act or you can?t. I?m sure a lot of people who are serious about acting would disagree, but I?m not really worried about them.?
On political correctness and abortions: ?People are too P.C.,? she said. ?We need to be focusing on other things. We?re seeking out such grossness in human behavior and want such mindless entertainment. ?The Real Housewives of Atlanta? and some of these other shows are more racist. Or ?16 and Pregnant.? Getting rewarded for being pregnant when you?re a teenager? Are you serious? I mean, that makes me want to kill somebody.? She continued: ?I had an abortion when I was 16. Because that?s what I should have done. Otherwise I would now have a 20-year-old kid. Anyway, those are things that people shouldn?t be dishonest about it.?
On not being like Tina Fey: ?I don?t know if I?m going to be what people call mainstream, ever,? she said. ?My personality is just too obnoxious.?
A new show? She has been kicking around ideas for a show, she said, ?one that has never been done before,? and indicated that it would be journalistic rather than a talk show. ?I need to do it for my own.? (When I called her publicist, Stephen Huvane, later to ask if she was on the level, he said that she was but that it was too soon to discuss the details.) She told me: ?If it?s not with NBC, then I?ll go to HBO or another channel. I?ll do whatever I want to do. I?m not discouraged at all anymore. [What convinces me that I can do it is]?my career. There?s hope for anything.? She glanced down at her lap. ?One second ? my alarm is going off.? She checked her messages. ?Here?s Reese Witherspoon now,? she murmured, and then looked back at me.

I chuckled a bit at ?I don?t take it that seriously. You can act or you can?t. I?m sure a lot of people who are serious about acting would disagree, but I?m not really worried about them.? So, she didn?t take any acting classes, and she?s not worried about people criticizing her for being a bad actress. Good to know. I had forgotten that she was cast in that movie with Reese. Ugh. Now I?m totally not going to see it (it has Chris Pine in it too, who I cannot stand either).
Re: the abortion comment. She absolutely has a point. Didn?t think I would acknowledge it? I think Chelsea made the right choice for her, and it?s her prerogative and people should be honest about it. And I think our society is really screwed up with these teen pregnancy shows. It IS disgusting.

For months now, we?ve been hearing about Gwyneth Paltrow?s desire to sign a recording contract and record a country album. For real. Because when you think ?country? you totally think of a half-Jewish, flat-ironed bottle blonde who lives in London and NYC and extols the virtues of ?must-have? $18,000 wardrobes and endless juice detoxes. That just screams ?country? to me. Anyway, from what I gather, Gwyneth made a lot of noise about wanting to record an album and several labels took the bait and offered her various contracts. Some even claimed that she was being offered a $900,000 signing deal. Now Page Six reports that Goop?s recording contract is no longer in play, and that it all came down to how BUSY she is and how she wanted so much money for the pleasure of having her deign to twang it up for us peasants:
Gwyneth Paltrow’s talks for a record deal with Atlantic Records have crumbled, sources confirmed to Page Six.
We reported in March that the “Country Strong” star was close to a deal with the label to record a country album. But a source told us, “Atlantic bosses were very interested, and [Atlantic owner] Warner chief Lyor Cohen was very supportive. But then the talks halted and the deal fizzled out. There was a rumor that Paltrow wanted $1 million to sign, but that is a ridiculous figure. Atlantic is still interested in signing her.”
It’s believed the Oscar winner was distracted by other opportunities in her busy career, including possible movie roles and her new cookbook. There’s even buzz she might turn up for a few surprise appearances on this summer’s “Glee” tour.
Paltrow’s rep told us, “Atlantic was not the only company pursuing her, and she still has not decided if she wants to record an album,” adding, it “is still something she is considering.”

At the end of the day, I just hate her voice. I hate her speaking voice and her singing voice. While technically she?s a half-decent (but not great) singer, you can tell that she thinks she?s super-talented vocally, like she?s a blonder, skinnier, more important Adele. And THAT is pathetic. I also kind of like it. Biel?s style is usually so try-hard and awful, and this is a really lovely color on her. Sure, it?s TOO MUCH, too much velvet, too much all of one color, but she?s done much, much worse, you know? I usually hate those skinny pants too, but she looks nice in them.
Anyway, Biel is a Velvet Elvis today because she?s doing some event for Revlon. Have you seen her Revlon mascara ads? They are HILARIOUS. Girl CANNOT act. She?s so bad, I don?t even ?buy? that she?s wearing mascara. And as for how overwhelmingly beautiful she is - you know how crushing her beauty is, and how her career suffers so much because of how gorgeous everyone thinks she is - well, the ads don?t really make her look like anything special. I never really see what the fuss is all about regarding Biel?s looks, though. Anyway, here?s one of the ads:

"They're so obviously real that anyone who's ever seen or touched a breast would know," she added.
"If there's anything to be learned from me it's that I'm learning to celebrate what I was born with, even though it's sometimes been inconvenient," Miss Hendricks continued. "Having larger breasts has made it harder for me to shop throughout the years, but I've learned to love it."

Having recently been announced as Charlie Sheen's replacement, Ashton Kutcher isn't ready for too much of a commitment when it comes to "Two and a Half Men".
According to the Wall Street Journal, the "Punk'd" funnyman has only inked a one-year-deal with CBS for the hit comedy series.
For his work, Kutcher will reportedly rake in a handsome $750,000 per episode with bonuses being a possibility based on performance.
The one-year deal could be lengthened if CBS picks up licensing rights for the show - which come to an end at the end of the 2011-2012 season.

Honestly, I thought Rihanna was one of the best-dressed celebrity women at last night?s Billboard Music Awards. Music awards shows are always tricky, fashion-wise. I always hate when musical girls show up in gigantic ball gowns or pageant looks, and I also kind of hate the Gaga-esque forced ?kooky? costumes. I love that Rihanna did this clean, classic Max Azria suit. It?s a beautiful cut, a nice fit, and she looks so sexy and unforced, two words I usually use for Rihanna. I even like her hair.
As for the much-discussed performance with Rihanna and Britney, they did a remix of Rihanna?s ?S&M?. It?s just? ugh. I don?t? ugh. Poor Britney. She looked out of it. Poor Rihanna? she?s not the best live act. This whole thing was sort of an exercise in tragedy:

Christina Hendricks has become one of the most worshipped women, simply because she dares to be famous and sexy and NOT a size zero. Even though Christina has gotten a lot of love stateside, she and her hourglass figure have found an even more amorous fan base in the UK. I have no idea what that?s all about - maybe it?s the pale skin, the red hair, the boobs, all of it combined, but Christina is considered a goddess over there. So it?s no surprise that Christina sat down to do an extensive interview with The Daily Mail, a UK publication. Christina is asked about everything, from her husband to her career to her early days as a model, and she?s even asked about her boobs. Several months ago, Playboy released an old photo shoot they did with Christina. She was several sizes smaller, and wearing a bikini top, and her boobs looked much, much smaller. On boobs: It was reported this year that there had been a sharp rise in breast augmentation in the UK because British women were longing to look more like Christina, though she says: ?I hope I?m not encouraging that. If there?s anything to be learned from me it?s that I?m learning to celebrate what I was born with, even though it?s sometimes been inconvenient. Having larger breasts has made it harder for me to shop throughout the years, but I?ve learnt to love it. It?s so bizarre that people are constantly asking if my breasts are real or fake,? she adds. ?They?re so obviously real that anyone who?s ever seen or touched a breast would know.?
On playing Joan on Mad Men: ?I love playing Joan because she?s such a departure from who I am. In season one I thought, ?Oh Lord, this woman is terrifying ? I couldn?t be her friend!?, but now I think I would be friends with Joan because she?s so strong and pretty wonderful,? says Christina, adding: ?I?d just ask her not to tell me what she really thinks all the time.? Today her Mad Men wardrobe of fitted skirts and pillbox hats has been replaced by jeans, purple heels and a cream top (with cinched-in waist, naturally). Though it took her a while to get used to putting on Joan?s accoutrements, Christina is now a seasoned pro. ?I was huffing and puffing into those things initially,? she says, ?but now I?m flipping on the garters with ease. It?s so great at the beginning of each season to see what?s in our characters? wardrobes!?
On Don Draper/Jon Hamm: Ah, Don Draper, a man who could unhook a bra while wearing a straitjacket. Played by the divinely handsome Jon Hamm, Don perennially has an eye for a pretty lady, which rather begs the question why he and Joan have never had an affair. ?Well, I think they have a mutual respect for one another,? says Christina, ?but because they?re both very good at reading other people, they?ve sort of got each other?s number.? Can Christina herself see the appeal? ?Who wouldn?t? I mean, come on!? she laughs. ?Jon feels more of a brother to me, but listen, I?m a woman and I can look at that man and say he?s astoundingly talented and astoundingly attractive. But so are all the guys on the show. I mean John Slattery [who plays Roger Sterling, Joan?s sometime lover] ? he?s dashing and charismatic as can be.? And are the Dons and Rogers of this world Christina?s type? ?No, I?d run a mile! I like a man with a nice, self-deprecating sense of humour.?
Christina on how she met her husband, Geoffrey Arend: The couple met after being introduced by Mad Men actor Vincent Kartheiser (who plays Pete Campbell), and though it wasn?t love at first sight, ?because we were both coming out of other relationships and weren?t in that mindset, I loved his energy and his spirit and I was always saying to friends: ?You?ve got to meet my new friend Geoffrey ? he?s so much fun?. Then my friends invited him to dinner and he was late ? he?s always late ? and they asked me if I wanted to save the seat next to me for Geoffrey and I went: ?No, no ? it?s not like that?. Of course, as soon as I said it didn?t matter, it suddenly did matter. I think my brain just had to catch up with my heart.?
On kids: The couple, now based in Los Angeles, haven?t yet decided whether children will feature in their plans, ?though I probably need to think about that soon because I?m getting older, but I?m not letting that determine any decisions. I?m on this wonderful show with all these opportunities,? says Christina, ?so it seems crazy to jump out of it. I want to really experience the career for a while, and then I?ll see what happens.? Joan Holloway ? now Joan Harris after marrying the frankly undeserving Dr Greg Harris ? did end the fourth series of Mad Men pregnant, after an illicit romp with old flame Roger Sterling. ?She?s been very naughty and I was shocked when I got the script,? says Christina. ?My first fear was that she?d quit her job, but also I wondered, if she did become a stay-at-home mum, how would she manage that? Maybe she?ll carry on working ? just strap the baby to her back and carry on bossing people around!?

Do you believe Christina regarding her boobs? I kind of do. I think as she got older, she gained weight (it happens), and that weight spread out proportionally everywhere, including Christina?s rack. I believe this because Christina?s boobs have a natural sag to them, and when she has them hoisted up in a bustier, it doesn?t look like she has two circular aliens trying to burst out of her chest.

Making the most of a sunny day, Lindsay Lohan was spotted sunning herself by the pool at her Miami, Florida hotel yesterday (May 22).
However, when she received a phone call on her mobile phone, the busty black-and-white bikini-wearing babe looked a bit distressed and lit up a cigarette afterwards.
As for her career revival, LiLo is said to be hoping for a chance to play the lead in a possible remake of the classic Stephen King film ?Carrie.?
King told press, "I?ve heard rumblings about a Carrie remake .... Lindsay Lohan as Carrie White, hmmm. It would certainly be fun to cast."

I know we?ve been doing a lot of fashion posts from the Cannes Film Festival, and if you?ve been getting bored, I apologize. The festival ended on Sunday, so these are some of the last pics we?re going to do. These are photos of Gwne Stefani at the Friday premiere of This Must Be The Place, that Sean Penn film where he looks like Robert Smith. I just wanted to do these photos separately from everything else so we could concentrate on everything that?s wrong with Gwen.
First of all, her appearance. The gown is Armani Prive. The makeup is clown college, I suppose. The dress in and of itself is kind of tacky. I generally dislike these kinds of ?boob cutouts? and any kind of ?breast bow? situation, so there?s a lot for me to dislike here, style-wise. But the makeup takes the whole look to another level. WTF is Gwen?s problem? Who is doing her makeup? Who hates her this much? Is she doing it herself? Because honestly, this looks a homemade makeup disaster. This is the kind of makeup job one drunk girl gives her equally drunk friend when they?re about to go out clubbing for the night.
But the biggest problem I have with this is the WHY of it all. WHY is Gwen walking all of these red carpets in Cannes? Does she literally have nothing better to do? She was one an It Girl, somebody with a career. Now she acts like her full-time job is posing on red carpets and pap?ing her family. It?s all getting really tacky.

These are some photos from the closing ceremony - Kiki Dunst, The Gerard Butler-Hater, took home the festival?s ?Best Actress? prize for Melancholia, the Lars Von Trier film. Kiki actually attended the closing ceremony, almost as if she had been tipped off that she was going to win something (note: I think the winners ARE actually notified ahead of time). Kiki threw on this Chanel Haute Couture gown. It reminds me of what she wore for the AmFAR gala last week - Kiki does love her frothy, tulle-heavy gowns. I?m kind of meh on the gown, but the shoes kind of ruin what could have been a solid look. Closed-toe black with that frothy Chanel? It doesn?t work. Here?s more about the winners:
As the 64th Cannes Film Festival came to a close Sunday, its jury awarded the top prize to a movie that split the critics: director Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life, starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.
Jury president Robert De Niro made the announcement, while the reclusive Malick was not in the French town to accept his Palme d’Or (Golden Palm).
Other winners Sunday evening included Kirsten Dunst as best actress for controversial director Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia. Earlier this week, the Danish filmmaker had been banned from the festival for rambling remarks he made at a press conference about how he sympathized with Hitler.
Dunst alluded to her director’s outburst during her acceptance speech Sunday, saying, “What a week this has been.”
French actor Jean Dujardin was named best actor for a popular silent, black-and-white comedy, The Artist ? to be seen in the U.S. later this year. Best director was Nicolas Winding Refn, for Drive, which stars Ryan Gosling.
Other members of the Cannes jury included Jude Law and Uma Thurman.

Ryan Gosling was there to celebrate his director?s win. He and Refn are in the midst of some kind of homoerotic bromance, from the looks of it. I?ve never really had a homoerotic fantasy involving the Gosdong, but I may have to start. He?s just not like that for me - I look at photos of Daniel Craig or Javier Bardem, and I imagine them kissing, licking and biting each other. When I look at Gosling, all I see is a good-looking Canadian kid with no sexual dramz.
Also in the photos - Jean Dujardin, who is rather handsome, Robert DeNiro and Uma Thurman, who was WEARING THE HELL out of that blue gown.

The last time I remember seeing Robin Wright, she had blonde shoulder length hair that was choppily layered around her face. Her hair was short by Hollywood standards, and she deserves a lot of credit for not filling it out with fake long extensions.
Now Robin has cut off her hair to a short bob that makes her look a lot like Edie Falco in Nurse Jackie. This cropped ‘do is popular lately, with Katherine Heigl, Hayden Panettiere, Carey Mulligan, and Emma Watson all wearing variations of this style. Robin was spotted out in Paris on Friday, where the photo agency Fame notes that she is “working on a campaign for Gerard Darel designs.”
When you compare her new hair to the last time we saw her, at a premiere in April, it’s much better. The layers were too thin around her face and her hair looked as messy as her outfit.
If you compare her hair to the SAGs in January, it was better longer. She has angular features and longer hair softens her face. I have shoulder length hair, though, and it scares me to think of cropping it so short. It’s daunting to cut off your hair, although I guess when you’re as beautiful as Robin it’s not as big a risk as the rest of us.
Remember when she went brunette for a little while in 2009? That didn’t last long.

Here are some photos of Taylor Swift in Elie Saab, last night at the Billboard Music Awards. The dress is meh - as I?ve said many times before, I get tired of seeing Swifty is pastels and paler colors. I would love to see her in bolder jewel tones. However, her hair was a major improvement. It looked? deflated. But nice! At least it wasn?t teased up in princess curls. Anyway, just like last year, Swifty took home a bunch of big awards, including 200 Album Artist of the year and Country Artist of the Year.
Other winners: Justin Bieber for Digital Artist of the Year, Top New Artist and Fan Favorite. His date was Selena Gomez. Rihanna took home Female Artist of the year, Lady Antebellum got Country Song of the Year, and the Black Eyed Peas won ?Top Duo/Group?.
One of the most talked about moments was probably the video tribute to Beyonce, and how she?s like the next Nelson Mandela or something. Don?t get me wrong, I like Bey, and I do think she?s a pretty great role model for many young women. But the way she was discussed was a little bit odd. People like Bono, Lady Gaga, Barbra Streisand and Michelle Obama all spoke about Bey?s influence, and then the video went black and Beyonce began performing her new single ?Run the World (Girls)?. It was a technical-heavy performance with the large screen behind her and lots of dancing. It was okay.

They always bring positive energy and a great vibe and tonight (May 22) the Black Eyed Peas were in the house for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.
Stacy ?Fergie? Ferguson, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo all showed up at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for a very special performance.
And it sounds like the Peas have their work cut out for them over the next week, as they?ll be stopping by the Season Finale of ?Dancing with the Stars.?

Getting a big salute for her successful career efforts, Beyonce Knowles was doted with the Billboard Millennium Award at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 22).
The "Run the World (Girls)" singer was honored with quite the tribute - as her mother, Tina Knowles, took the stage to present her daughter with the accolade at the MGM Grand held show.
The Billboard Millennium Award was presented in recognition of Beyonce's career achievements and influence in the music industry.
Among the memorable moments, the tribute looked back upon Miss Knowles' role as the frontwoman of Destiny's Child through her three chart-topping solo albums.
Prior to receiving the Millennium Award, Beyonce graced the stage to perform her hit single "Run the World (Girls)".

Taking over the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears got together for a very special performance this evening (May 22).
The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was taken by storm as the ?Pink Friday? rapper and the ?Baby One More Time? songstress teamed up for a duet of ?Til the World Ends.?
Prior to that, Miss Minaj busted out a killer performance of her latest hit single ?Superbass? much to the delight of the crowd.
