I have no idea why Robin Wright and Ben Foster?s relationship is so full of drama. They have been together, off and on, since 2011/12. They apparently got engaged in late 2013, then they split a year later (November 2014), then by January of this year, they were back together and the engagement was back on. And now it?s off. Again. And they?ve completely called it quits as a couple. I?m sure they?ll get back together by December!
Robin Wright and Ben Foster have broken up and called off their engagement for the second time. The Princess Bride and House of Cards star had confirmed in January 2014 she and the X-Men actor were set to marry. E! News learned in November of that year that the two had split. In January of this year, Wright and Foster reunited at the 2015 Golden Globes.
On Saturday, E! News learned the two split and called off their engagement a few months ago. Wright, 49, and Foster, 34, have not commented. People had earlier reported that their engagement was off again.
The two met on the set of the movie Rampart, which was released in 2011, and began dating months later. After confirming their engagement to E! News, the actress had called the actor “the hottest,” adding, “I’m very blessed.”
This would have marked the first marriage for Foster and the third for Wright. Her first husband was Dane Witherspoon, her co-star on the soap opera Santa Barbara, who died last year at age 56. Her second was Sean Penn, with whom she shares daughter Dylan Penn, 24, and son Hopper Penn, 22.
[From E! News]
Is Robin Wright just the kind of woman who enjoys drama-filled relationships with intense men? I think she might be. At the age of 49, she knows better and she?s still doing it, she?s still seeking out and participating in all of this drama. She enjoys it. So yes, my guess is that they probably will have a few more rounds of this on-and-off stuff. And we already know that the makeup sex is apparently phenomenal ? Robin said as much in her Vanity Fair interview earlier this year. Oh well. Have fun, you guys.
Incidentally, I kind of think Ben Foster might be a sleeper Oscar contender this year for his work as Lance Armstrong in The Program. The film debuts in Toronto in a few weeks and it looks SO GOOD. With all of the conversation about the Best Actor race, I think Ben Foster is going to quietly wage a sleeper campaign. And how best to navigate a campaign then with a lady like Robin on his arm?

| Kim Kardashian's maternity street style: improving or still kind of terrible' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This is probably just a preview of coming attractions. I?m expecting to see Kim Kardashian tonight on the red carpet of the MTV VMAs, mostly because Kanye West is set to receive the MTV Video Vanguard Award. Why wouldn?t she be there? Of course she?ll be there. What kind of late-August coat will she wear? How many layers? Will she continue to try to make those fug chokers happen? So many questions.
Anyway, these are some assorted photos of Kim out and about on Thursday and Friday. I just didn?t get around to posting these photos because Kim also appeared on the cover of C Magazine ? go here to read. She talked a lot about how her first pregnancy changed her, because she no longer wanted to smile for photographers because she felt so bullied about her weight. She did have pre-eclampsia and I do (and did) feel sorry for that. But I will never stop shaking my head at how she chooses to dress while pregnant. I really just don?t get it.
In the photos of Kim in off-white, is it wrong that I cannot figure out if that?s actually two pieces, like a tank and maternity pants, or if it?s yet another onesie? I think it is a two-piece. And while it?s not good, it?s not as bad as some stuff she?s worn, so? I?ll give it to her. It?s fine. But the coat! She must be so relieved to get inside and be able to take off her butt-covering coats.
Speaking of the butt-covering ensembles, Kim did make a rare public appearance without a coat on Thursday. Those are the photos of Kim in the black dress and the ridiculous heels (are those four-inch heels?!). She was wearing a mic pack too, so she was likely filming scenes for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Last thing: If you really want to see what Kim?s boobs look like these days, you should totally check out her Twitter.

| Miley Cyrus: 'If you get your t*ts out, you can use that space to say something' | Added 9 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Miley Cyrus covers the September issue of Elle UK (just in time) to promote tonight’s gig at the VMAs. Her team always has impeccable scheduling for events and releases. I’ll get to the Elle excerpts in a bit. Anticipation is building for tonight’s VMAs, which hasn’t ever been the case for any other host. Offhand, can you remember who hosted any previous years? Russell Brand did it a few years (and joked about stealing the Jonas Bros’ purity rings), but I’d have to google to recall anyone else who took the gig. Miley did a Tumblr Q&A on Friday, and she promised, “Dis gonna be da craziest vmazzzz of allllll herstory! Miley promised a very important cameo, and I sure hope it’s not Robin Thicke.
First, a quick followup to Friday’s New York Times interview where Miley called out Nicki Minaj’s VMA complaints as “angry,” “not polite,” and “you made it about you.” The Daily Beast published an excellent rebuttal by Stereo Williams, who is brilliant. He dissects Miley’s whitesplaining about race like this: “In attempting to prove she?s aware, Miley proves she?s completely lacking in self-awareness.” There’s plenty more, including this:
Maybe Nicki Minaj had a point, Miley. Maybe if you were honest about your own appropriation and privilege, as opposed to denouncing her “tone,” you would’ve caught it.
Cyrus’s thought process is indicative of the left-leaning millennial racism; the “I get it, but…” racism. A white pop star who accessorizes blackness shouldn?t be so quick to tell a black artist how they should talk about racism. Maybe Miley Cyrus has heard the criticism, but she definitely hasn?’ listened to it. Maybe she should. And both she and Swift have exhibited behavior that indicates that they are typical of many white feminists who refuse to face the way they’ve used feminism to mute the specific grievances of black women. Cyrus seems to be evolving out of her trash-rap fetish into more pseudo-punk rock chic. It’s hard to imagine her asking Patti Smith or Debbie Harry to be “polite” as they fought their way through rock’s boys? club. From Amy Schumer to Hillary Clinton, white women who speak their minds are seen as heroes, while black women are stereotyped as angry just because they don?t accept silencing as “solidarity.” Black women shouldn’t have to be “nice” to be heard.
[From The Daily Beast]
I have nothing to add to Williams’ essay, except to say you should read the full piece. He’s always on the mark with his analysis. Miley may have experienced her own difficulties in life, but she can’t claim to understand everyone else’s hurdles.
More Miley stuff. Here are a few of those Elle UK excerpts where (after describing herself as “gender fluid“ a few months ago) Miley calls herself a pansexual:
Wwhy she works with homeless youth: “I was kind of embarrassed that I got paid money to shake my ass in a teddy bear costume. I should not be worth the amount I am while people live on the streets.”
Why she’s always getting naked: “If you get your tits out, and they are all looking, then you can use that space to say something and get them to listen.”
On her sexuality: “I’m very open about it – I’m pansexual. But I’m not in a relationship. I’m 22, I’m going on dates, but I change my style every two weeks, let alone who I’m with.”
[From Elle UK]
Miley says she’s not in a relationship, just having fun. So either Miley is finished dating Victoria’s Secret model Stella Maxwell, or they were simply fooling around. Miley also believes that her chronic nudity will make people will take her seriously and listen to what she has to say. Oh, girl.
