I just scrolled through two years of Robin Wright?s Instagram and holy crap, she?s a fun Instagrammer. She?s got some side-businesses sleepwear?? and she loves to promote her projects. She?s got tons of family photos on her ?gram too, and plenty of cute pics of her two children, both of whom are adults now. The whole reason why I had to go through two years? worth of photos is that 2020 was the last time she posted anything about her husband Clement Giraudet. Robin married Clement in August 2018 after dating for more than a year. It felt like they might be making a home for themselves in both California and France, and then in 2020, it felt like no, they were just California-based. During the early months of the pandemic, they were pap?d several times, riding bikes and looking loved up. Then something shifted during the pandemic. Suddenly, no more pap photos. Clement hasn?t been seen on her IG in two years. And now this: she?s filed for divorce.
Robin Wright and Clment Giraudet are reportedly going their separate ways. The House of Cards actress, 56, has filed for divorce from the Yves Saint Laurent executive, 37, according to TMZ. Citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, Wright listed the date of the pairs separation as July 31, the outlet said.
Wright said in her divorce filing, per TMZ, that all assets are his/her separate property based on the parties post-nuptial agreement. The actress also checked a box to block the courts ability to award spousal support to either of them, the outlet added.
A representative for Wright did not immediately respond to PEOPLEs request for comment.
Wright and Giraudet then tied the knot in August 2018 in a very intimate and low-key wedding, a source told PEOPLE at the time.
Robin wanted it to be about them, not a big production, the source added.
Wright was previously married to Sean Penn from 1996 to 2010. The actors share son Hopper, 29, and daughter Dylan, 31. Wright was also married to Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988, and engaged to Ben Foster, though they called off their romance in August 2015.
[From People]
Robin?s whole vibe post-Sean Penn is FUN. She raised her children, got rid of the ham-faced dead weight and she?s been living her best life at the beach. She has tons of friends, she still works, she?s close to both of her kids. It could be that she didn?t feel like compromising anything with Clement, like, why should she have to change? Maybe the age difference was a factor, but come on, Robin is still crazy-hot. If anything, she probably dumped Clement for a hotter, younger and more virile man.

For the past week, there have been tons of exclusive photos of Robin Wright and her husband Clement Giraudet in LA/Santa Monica. I?ve been dying to talk about them, but this is the first time we?ve had access to any of the photos. Robin and Clement were seen this weekend, biking around LA. I would assume that they?ve been isolating in California for weeks, but from the looks of it, they get out of the house to do about an hour of walking or biking every day. Which is what I?ve been trying to do too: go out for an hour and just walk and get some fresh air. More people than ever are doing that these days. All of the gyms are closed!
I had to get an assist from CB on the bikes Robin and Clement are riding around LA on iZip Cruising electric bikes, which retail for $2100-$2600. The electric part is so you get a boost when going uphill, but it appears that Robin and Clement are just biking through a flat neighborhood. Still, I have been struggling with the hills in my neighborhood while walking, so I kind of wish I could get an electric ?boost? on my fking legs these days.
Robin and Clement married in August 2018, after dating for several years (I think they broke up once though). He?s 35 (36 in June) and she?s 52. Before the quarantine, I had only really seen photos of Clement in Paris, attending various events with Robin, and I had a completely different view of him, as someone who was always impeccably turned out, someone with a more ?sophisticated? vibe. But in their quarantine-exercise strolls, he just seems like a hot younger guy who is actually quite athletic and almost bro-y (French bro-y?). Hm. I?m now really into him??

| Robin Wright's mission statement: 'You don't have to be a bitch to be powerful' | Added 8 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
The last time we checked in on Robin Wright, she and Ben Foster had broken up again and called off their engagement for what was maybe (?) the second time. That was during the summer of splits last year. And just this week, Ben stepped out with Jack White?s ex-wife Karen Elson. So? if you had money on Robin and Ben reuniting at some point, you were wrong. For what it?s worth, I totally thought they would do the makeup-and-breakup thing one more time. Anyway, Robin covers the new issue of Harper?s Bazaar UK. It?s sort of refreshing to see a woman of this age (Robin is 49) on the cover of a major fashion magazine, even if the editorial is so simple/classic, it?s kinda boring. Here are some highlights from her interview ? she?s promoting the new season of House of Cards, so most of the conversation is about that.
She loves directing: ?I would prefer to be behind the camera … full-on, forever. That would be great.?
Acting versus directing: ?You feel you?ve completed the chapter. It?s so whimsical, this business; you never know when or what is going to come next. So never say never. But if someone said, ?You can either act or direct?, without hesitation I would say, ?Direct?. I think once I tasted the directing, I didn?t want to go back. That?s all. No different to going, ?Oh, I love that restaurant, I don?t want to go back to Denny?s.?
On Kevin Spacey: ?He?s such a master. He turns it on so quickly and is such a fast absorber, just a sponge. You don?t have to say anything to him.?
She became a mother at the age of 25: ?I didn?t know me. I?m living my life now. I?ve raised kids my whole life. Oh my God. [I am now discovering] so many things. So many things that I probably would have learned in my thirties had I not been a mom and a wife … I?m finally getting to me. You know? It?s an essence, it?s a feel thing.?
She wants equality in Hollywood: ?I do want to make changes, for the better. I think my mission statement is: you don?t have to be a bitch to be powerful. I?m trying to stick to that.?
[From The Evening Standard]
I go back and forth on whether I think you HAVE to be a bitch to be powerful. I guess I don?t like the way that statement/thought is framed, because at the end of the day, if you?re a woman with any kind of power, people are going to call you a bitch regardless. And what?s so wrong with being a bitch? Are we equating ?bitch? with ?someone who takes charge? or ?someone who knows her own mind? or ?someone decisive, focused, ambitious and professional?? Are we genderizing the whole notion of power? And that statement from Robin in particular is particularly rich, because? um, she doesn?t really have a reputation for being the most pleasant person to be around.

I have no idea why Robin Wright and Ben Foster?s relationship is so full of drama. They have been together, off and on, since 2011/12. They apparently got engaged in late 2013, then they split a year later (November 2014), then by January of this year, they were back together and the engagement was back on. And now it?s off. Again. And they?ve completely called it quits as a couple. I?m sure they?ll get back together by December!
Robin Wright and Ben Foster have broken up and called off their engagement for the second time. The Princess Bride and House of Cards star had confirmed in January 2014 she and the X-Men actor were set to marry. E! News learned in November of that year that the two had split. In January of this year, Wright and Foster reunited at the 2015 Golden Globes.
On Saturday, E! News learned the two split and called off their engagement a few months ago. Wright, 49, and Foster, 34, have not commented. People had earlier reported that their engagement was off again.
The two met on the set of the movie Rampart, which was released in 2011, and began dating months later. After confirming their engagement to E! News, the actress had called the actor “the hottest,” adding, “I’m very blessed.”
This would have marked the first marriage for Foster and the third for Wright. Her first husband was Dane Witherspoon, her co-star on the soap opera Santa Barbara, who died last year at age 56. Her second was Sean Penn, with whom she shares daughter Dylan Penn, 24, and son Hopper Penn, 22.
[From E! News]
Is Robin Wright just the kind of woman who enjoys drama-filled relationships with intense men? I think she might be. At the age of 49, she knows better and she?s still doing it, she?s still seeking out and participating in all of this drama. She enjoys it. So yes, my guess is that they probably will have a few more rounds of this on-and-off stuff. And we already know that the makeup sex is apparently phenomenal ? Robin said as much in her Vanity Fair interview earlier this year. Oh well. Have fun, you guys.
Incidentally, I kind of think Ben Foster might be a sleeper Oscar contender this year for his work as Lance Armstrong in The Program. The film debuts in Toronto in a few weeks and it looks SO GOOD. With all of the conversation about the Best Actor race, I think Ben Foster is going to quietly wage a sleeper campaign. And how best to navigate a campaign then with a lady like Robin on his arm?

Isn?t it such an unexpected pleasure to see a 48-year-old woman on the cover of a major magazine? Major as in, not the AARP Magazine, or More Magazine, or Good Housekeeping. Robin Wright is enjoying one of the highest points of her career and her personal life right now ? she?s on the widely acclaimed and award-winning House of Cards, and she?s back with her young lover Ben Foster. She talks about her public and personal life in the April issue of Vanity Fair ? you can read VF?s excerpt here. Some highlights:
On her relationship with Ben Foster: ?I?ve never been happier in my life than I am today. Perhaps it?s not ladylike [to say], but I?ve never laughed more, read more, or come more than with Ben. He inspires me to be the best of myself. There?s so much to learn. It?s endless. How great! It took me a long time to grow up. Love is possible as life is possible.?
On her divorce to Sean Penn: ?I?m not in the business of talking about what ?isn?t,?my eyes are set forward and I?ve never been happier. I have too much respect for Sean and our two extraordinary children to sell our past joys and woes for public consumption and fodder.?
What she learned from being married to Penn: ?I believe we were together not only to have our beautiful children but to learn how to love ? for the next time around, the right way. And then, what I?m looking for in people now is kindness.?
Her now-famous super-short hairstyle: ?I was just cutting off damaged hair?too much bleach over months of [appearing in] different movies. It was a mercy killing, but it works for the character.?
Late stardom: ?I feel as though I?ve just graduated. I mean, I never went to college. I was pregnant at 23. You hear people say how they have ?arrived,? but it was just always there, waiting to come out. For me, it just took a long time. I?m 48. I?m finally a person. I think I?m finally ready.?
[From Vanity Fair]
VF also contacted Sean Penn?s rep to see if he would comment on the record, but all they got was a message that Penn was traveling and unable to comment. If you go back to his recent Esquire interview, I think Sean already said what he wanted to say about his marriage to Robin. I think it?s safe to say they were toxic together and they might have even brought out the worst in each other. But I like the way Robin speaks about it, like she learned a lot from the back-and-forth drama with Sean and she?s a lot happier these days. Which I believe. But I?d still like to see her grow out her hair just a little bit!! I?m sorry, but I do find this cut too severe.

For those of you who weren?t quick enough to catch a sneak peek of the third season of ?House of Cards? when it was accidentally released earlier this month, the wait is over! The newest installment of the Netflix original series is officially here.
To celebrate the new season, Robin Wright and her on-screen husband Robin Wright attended the premiere at the Empire Cinema in London?s Leicester Square. The actress, who plays Mrs. Clair Underwood, attended the red-carpet event in a white tailored suit. Kevin, who plays Frank Underwood, matched his co-star perfectly in a sharp charcoal ensemble.
Also in attendance was ?House of Cards? fan Ricky Gervais. The British comedian recently appeared in a spoof of the show, in which he impersonates Kevin?s character for a Netflix advert called, ?Superfan.?

Controversial opinion: Robin Wright prefers to date douchebags and angry guys. That?s her ?type.? Coming on the heels of Robin?s ex-husband throwing significant shade at her and their marriage, sources close to Robin confirm that she?s back ?on? with Ben Foster in every way. Robin and Ben called off their engagement and broke up last November, when sources claimed Robin was finding Ben ?kind of immature? (he?s 14 years younger than her). But by the Golden Globes, they were back on. They attended the Globes and the Globes after-parties together, and they were in Paris together this week for Paris Fashion Week. And now sources tell Us Weekly that their engagement is back on:
Guess they’re Wright for each other after all! Two months after Us Weekly exclusively revealed that Robin Wright and fianc Ben Foster had called it quits, a source tells Us Weekly that the lovebirds are once again engaged to be married.
“They are fully back together and really happy,” the insider tells Us of the House of Cards star, 48, and the Lone Survivor actor, 34, who were photographed at the Giorgio Armani Prive Haute Couture show on Jan. 27 in France, engagement ring and all. “Ben is the nicest guy. She knows she has a keeper.”
That’s not to say their relationship is perfect, of course, just that they’re willing to work on it now. “There were a bunch of issues before, a lot because of distance and her schedule, but they are working on them,” the source adds. “It is worth it to be with a guy like this who really cares about her so much.”
[From Us Weekly]
For what it?s worth, Ben seemed to be a completely different guy this week at the Armani show in Paris. He was smiling and playful and he just seemed a lot lighter. Sigh? I hope this is okay. If Robin likes angry dudes and d-bags, that?s her business. I hope Ben is on the nicer end of the spectrum. But I?m guessing that they?re probably going to go through a few more breakup and makeup cycles, don?t you? They just seem like that kind of couple.

I always thought Robin Wright and Ben Foster?s relationship was a little bit odd. It wasn?t even the age difference ? she?s 48 and he?s 34 ? it was the fact that they both seem like very ?intense? people. She can seem rather icy and he seems like a very dark, serious guy. Putting too serious, intense people would usually be a recipe for disaster, but for whatever reason, the relationship seemed to make Robin a lot ?lighter? and happier. But now it?s over! Us Weekly says that Robin and Ben have called off their engagement:
It’s over! Robin Wright has called it quits with her fianc of 10 months Ben Foster, multiple sources tell Us Weekly exclusively in this week’s issue.
“She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn’t the right decision,” an insider tells Us of why the House of Cards actress, 48, called it quits with her beau.
This past summer, the source adds, was the breaking point for the actress, who was juggling working on the Netflix hit in Baltimore and then spending weekends in Los Angeles with her and ex-husband Sean Penn’s kids Dylan, 23, and Hopper Jack, 21. Meanwhile, Foster, 34, was busy in London with a production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
The couple’s 14-year age difference didn’t help matters either, another insider adds. “The gap just ended up being too much,” a source close to Wright told Us. “Ben was kind of immature. She couldn’t deal with him anymore.”
Wright first stepped out with her engagement ring from Foster this past January. The now exes met on set of their 2011 film Rampart. This would have been the third marriage for Wright, who was previously married to Dane Witherspoon and Penn.
[From Us Weekly]
That?s sad about the age difference because I had always gotten the impression ? from Robin?s interviews! ? that she loved being with a younger guy. And now all of a sudden, there?s a maturity issue? Hm. It sounds more like they were doing the long-distance thing for too long and one of them cheated. And seeing as how Ben?s maturity level is being thrown under the bus, I think he was the one who cheated. Anyway? sad. I guess she?ll have to get her ?B? tattoo removed from her ring finger.

Now that Robin Wright has admitted to getting ?sprinkles? of Botox, I?m giving her beautiful face a second look. Can you see the ?Tox in these photos? These pics are from the LA premiere of House of Cards earlier this week. I can see the ?Tox a little bit. There?s a certain tightness, especially when she?s smiling. I still think that she?s getting some fillers too. Anyway, Robin is featured in this week?s issue of Us Weekly, their ?25 Things You Don?t Know About?? feature. I thought this was interesting!
1. I take my cellphone with me everywhere. That damn thing!
2. I’m an Aries.
3. I don’t watch TV.
4. The perfume I wear most often is Chanel No. 5.
5. On set, I have to will myself not to wipe everything off my face. I really loathe wearing heavy makeup.
6. I dislike arrogant men and diva behavior in either gender.
7. I dream of playing a singer.
8. I can ask directions or order a meal in French. Seulement!
9. I enjoy classic Led Zeppelin.
10. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas.
11. The best part of shooting House of Cards in Baltimore is eating lots of soft-shell crab.
12. I run, lift weights and do yoga to stay in shape.
13. One of my first jobs was working in a clothing boutique. I got fired for telling the truth to a customer.
14. I eat at In-N-Out Burger every chance I get.
15. My nickname is “Robbie” or “Rob.”
16. My best dish is chicken potpie.
17. To prepare to play Claire on House of Cards, I just put on the Spanx and off we go!
18. My first concert was Creedence Clearwater Revival. I was 6 and watched atop my father’s shoulders as he danced.
19. Dark-chocolate-covered blueberries are my favorite sweet.
20. I’ve worked with director David Fincher twice?and hope there’s more to come.
21. My style is the complete opposite of Claire’s!
22. My top fashion designers are Ralph Lauren, Gucci and Stella McCartney.
23. I’m a supporter of Raise Hope for Congo.
24. I know three chords on the guitar.
25. I secretly want to skydive, even though it’s my greatest fear!
[From Us Weekly]
I really don?t like the smell of Chanel No. 5. Is that wrong? Do I need to turn in my Lady Pass? Chanel No. 5 is just too heavy and I tend to associate it with older ladies. Still, it?s a classic scent and maybe it suits Robin. I would have thought her more of, like, an Opium girl. Right? As for ?I dislike arrogant men and diva behavior in either gender?? says the women who was married to Sean Penn. He?s like Mr. Arrogance. He?s Arrogance Von Smug. He?s Ham-Face McArrogance. So, is this a new thing? After her divorce was she all, ?Never again. Life is too short to spend any time with someone so arrogant??
PS? Robin?s ensemble here is by Kate Spade. I think those satin pants were a terrible idea.
