To be an actor or actress in Hollywood, you have to be full of yourself and somewhat delusional. Evangeline Lilly has both bases covered. The Lost actress tells Women’s Health that she isn’t that famous because she doesn’t want to be. Lilly says producers “have seen that I haven’t picked up on the opportunity to become a big movie star. It frustrates [them] that they’ve given me this chance to become the next Angelia Jolie” but she hasn’t gone after it. Lilly adds, “Sure, I’d love to be her, but just the humanitarian side.”
This kind of overselling is what keeps B-listers sane in Hollywood. If they came down to reality, they’d probably sink into a deep depression and kill themselves. Sort of like me and my modeling career. I always tell people that I’m the hottest male model in the world right now when in reality I’m only somewhere in the top 10. There’s no time for modesty in this business.

Last night pop country singer Taylor Swift played to a sold out audience at the Staples Center. Imagine what that must feel like at 19-years-old. Taylor?s always struck me as incredibly sharp and together ? especially considering what a lot of young pop starlets are like. She writes her own music, talks openly and honestly about her heartbreaks, and she?s just flat-out talented. Taylor told the audience she wasn?t a popular kid in school, but that doesn?t matter because it gave her more time to be contemplative and write and work on her music ? and look where she ended up!
When it comes to finding the ultimate teen role model one can’t go past Taylor Swift - talented, beautiful, gracious and still the same grounded and sweet girl she was before she became one of the most successful and popular young country artists of the decade. But seeing the thousands of teenage girls crying with excitement at seeing the 19-year-old at the sold-out Staples Center in Los Angeles on Friday night makes it hard to comprehend that she was far from being popular in her own junior high school days.
“It doesn’t matter if you don’t have friends in junior high,” Swift said as she kicked off her first ever headlining “Fearless” tour. “Being an outsider gave me time to think ? But there was a time when my greatest fear was not fitting in at school; I never thought I would be here with a sold-out Staples Center.”
Swift was clearly overwhelmed by the attention — at one point the crowd drew such a long thunderous applause that the songstress couldn?t get a word in so instead she covered her mouth with her hand in utter disbelief, her eyes filling with tears. “I?ll never forget this,” she eventually said, her voice cracking with emotion.
?But despite being worth more than an estimated $18 million according to Forbes.com, Taylor?s true star-power stems from still being relatable to her young fanbase and her trademarked approach to dealing with dates who do her wrong?. “If you break my heart, hurt my feelings or mess with friends I?ll have to write a song about you,” Swift said, also adding that she?s not the “only girl that burns ex boyfriends? pictures.”
And as much as this gorgeous girl is skilled at performing, she is even more skilled at writing. So where does her secret song-writing material pretty much all come from? “I’ve written in a diary every night since I was 13,” she admitted.

The only less-than-wholesome event of the night happened when John Mayer joined Taylor on stage. They sang a duet of his song ?Your Body is a Wonderland.” My issue isn?t with the song ? just Mayer in general. He?s made a big deal about how he?s a huge Taylor Swift fan. And we all know what that really means when it comes to John Mayer: he wants to boink her. Are the kids still saying that? 19 year olds? That?s probably the only way they?re putting it that?s fit to print. And since Taylor is legal, I want Mayer kept a good hundred miles from her at all times. Hell if I had my way he?d be kept that far away from all women. But I could have done without that little cameo. The rest of the concert sounded great, and it?s awesome that there are some decent role models out there for teenagers. It?s hard to be cool, successful, and grounded, and Taylor Swift is certainly all three.

Katy Perry got a lot of attention in January when she claimed that she was going to be celibate for a year. In fact she said she wasn?t going to even kiss anyone ? with the exception of her cat. Katy had just split with her boyfriend Travis McCoy - they?ve since gotten back together). Even before they rekindled their romance, Katy said she was joking ? though apparently there is a small kernel of truth in the joke. Perry says she finds hooking up and casual sex disgusting, and doesn?t get the appeal of sharing bodily fluids with strangers.
She sang the song ‘I Kissed a Girl,’ but that’s as far as pop star Katy Perry is going. The singer, who is currently involved with rocker musician Travis McCoy, says she loves to flirt with strangers - and that’s absolutely it.
According to WENN, Perry says, “Getting your flirt on is the best thing in the world, but when it comes to sharing bodily fluids with a person I don’t know - no thank you.”
Perry explains, “For me, it’s not a past time, going out and meeting people and trying to hook up with people. That actually makes me feel disgusting. From a really early age, I was really sensitive to that.”
Of course, this is not to say that Perry has anything against intimacy in general. After teasing reporters about adopting a vow of celibacy during a temporary split with the Gym Class Heroes frontman, the singer remarked, “Celibacy for the whole year? I’d rather die.”

I really like that Perry shared something so personal. It could easily make her look uptight or prudish, given the way a lot of celebrities behave. But she?s not really condemning anyone else, just saying it?s not her thing and she doesn?t get the appeal. She?s not preaching virginity or any of that other tween pop star stuff that few people believe. She?s just saying she doesn?t care to get it on with random strangers ? something plenty of people agree with. It?s nice to hear that from a celeb who?s not claiming to be ultra pure nor behaving like a skank.

Reinhardt were having sex in the bathroom of a private yacht, and Elton John?s husband had them thrown off as a result Paris calls this ?a lie? and says she?s sick of the ?false rumors? spread by people with ?no credibility.? In essence, Paris is saying ?I did not have sexual relations with that boat.? No, I jest. She?s really saying ?I did not have sex on that boat… but I might have gone down on somebody, I forget. Oh, sparkles!?
Paris Hilton is slamming a new report that she and beau Doug Reinhardt were tossed off David Furnish’s yacht for hooking up in the bathroom.
British papers claimed the heiress was asked to leave after she and Reinhardt were caught in a “compromising position” over the weekend following the Cannes Film Festival.
But on her My Space page Monday, Hilton blogged that the report “is such a lie that it’s a joke!”
“I would never do that,” says the heiress. “It’s so lame that people will just create these crazy stories. I can’t believe the stories people will make up, so gross! I’m so sick of all these false rumors. It’s not fair that writers can get away it. They have no credibility.”
During their Cannes trip, Hilton and Reinhardt definitely packed on the PDA, however. At a bash last week, she was photographed giving him a sexy lap dance.

Paris Hilton took to her MySpace yesterday to refute reports that she was thrown off David Furnish’s yacht for unsociable behavior. She said that didn’t happen and that it would never happen. Plus it was her friend’s boat.

That story some tabloid ran about my boyfriend and I on a yacht is such a lie that it’s a joke! That was my good friends boat and first of all she would never ask me to leave and second of all I would never do that. It’s so lame that people will just create these crazy stories. Tori Spelling has said several times that she’s not anorexic, and that her weight is healthy. She’s also admitted that she feels pressure from Hollywood to be thin. Whatever is going on with Tori, at least she eats once in a while. Tori was spotted having a bite of a sandwich she really seemed to need while poolside in Palm Springs, California with her family yesterday. She carried little Stella, nearly one, and comforted Liam, two. Those implants really look ridiculous on her frame, but it’s her business if she wants to look like an insect carrying around two water bubbles. (I’m trying to be generous and not too mean here, but it’s hard.)
Tori said earlier this month that it does hurt her to read criticism in the tabloids, and that she is hoping to set a decent body image example for her daughter:
“At the end of the day I have two kids, a husband, that’s my priority,” Spelling said. “I have a lot of businesses to run. I don’t have time to deal with whether they think I’m at the perfect weight or what they think I should weigh, but I want to be healthy for my children. When they start writing stories and criticizing you it starts to hurt because there are children involved. I think, my little Stella, she’s a baby now but imagine if she were 15 and going through the body self-image thing and turning into a woman and she had to read this about her mother. I want to be a positive role model for her so it’s a difficult thing to deal with.”
When that time comes, Spelling will be able to impart her years of dealing with the spotlight on her children. “I’ve always gotten it. I remember in my 20s there were always stories, ‘She’s too thin.’ I’ve always weighed the same, since I was 16. This is my weight. I’m not unhealthy. I’m very healthy. It is hard to be criticized in the public and it’s harder for your family to deal with, I think. You kind of get a thick skin but when you have kids and a husband it’s upsetting.”

You may have heard that already, but I needed some kind of quote to go along with these photos of Tori. She’s not my favorite person but I can’t fault her for being too thin. One of my girlfriends is tiny like that and it hurts her feelings when people point it out, but at least she looks proportionate all over. That said, if Tori doesn’t want the tabloids to talk about her she should stop using them to promote her books and products and stop hitting the paparazzi hot spots for dinner. She’ll never do that though, because it would be so much more painful to her if everyone just ignored her entirely.

There?s no love lost between me and Evangeline Lilly?s Lost character Kate. Kate is the worst part of the show, one of the few poorly-drawn characters, and Evangeline isn?t a very good actress. But still, she?s cute, and I could see how her beauty and Lost fame could mean bigger paydays in film work. But Evangeline has never been interested in super-stardom, so I give her points for consistency. Evangeline has even said that after Lost, she probably won?t act again. Now Evangeline has given another interview where she?s talking about how she has shunned the opportunities given to her to ?become the next Angelina Jolie.? It sounds like Evangeline is quite proud of frustrating movie producers:
THE only reason “Lost” star Evangeline Lilly isn’t as famous as Angelina Jolie is because she doesn’t want to be.

Evangeline was recently announced as one of the new ?faces? of Loreal, joining Elizabeth Banks and Freida Pinto. It was an interesting move for someone who claims to not be interested in the whole stardom thing, but I?d bet Lilly is just taking the money to do her missionary and humanitarian work. Or she?s going to blow it all on strippers and blow, either/or.

Mariah Carey was joking around with reporters when she was in Cannes, and she told them that her 40th birthday in March was just a ?lie? being spread. She even calls forty ?the F-word?. It seems Mariah wants to be thought of a perpetual thirty-something, and has vowed never to say her real age again.
The worst part - and by worst, I mean too much information - is that this report from Bang Media has Mariah?s husband/assistant Nick Cannon talking about how he gave Mariah a ?bald eagle? for her 40th birthday. I don?t have a problem with ?bald eagles? in general, but I don?t care to hear about them:

The ‘Touch My Body’ star - who reached the landmark birthday in March - will never admit her real age and wants to remain a woman in her 30s for the rest of her life.
She said: “Read my bio again. We can’t allow these lies to spread! Don’t say the F word around me. It’s just a number but I don’t see why women should have to conform to what is expected of a 40-year-old - whatever that is.”
To celebrate her birthday - which was on March 27 - Mariah’s husband Nick Cannon whisked her away to Barbados on a private jet.
Mariah enjoyed an intimate dinner party with 11 close friends at the exclusive Wispers restaurant, which was filled with hundreds of Pink and lavender balloons.
A source said: “It was important to Nick that the trip be a very relaxing one, where Mariah and her friends could truly enjoy themselves.”
At the time, Nick revealed he wanted to treat his wife to a “bald eagle” for her birthday.
But as well as being an endangered species, a “bald eagle” is also a slang term for someone with shaved pubic hair.

I realize that?s not what he?s claiming, he?s just saying this one was special, because it was his treat. Twitter, the 140 character limit social networking site, is teaming with a production company to try and create a new reality show that features people interacting with celebrities though their service. It would involve some kind of competition over celebrities, probably to see who can get a response from a celebrity the fastest:
Twitter, the Web site that asks what everybody’s doing, says it wants to be doing a TV series.
The social-networking service said Monday it has teamed with Reveille productions and Brillstein Entertainment Partners to develop an unscripted series based on the site, which invites 140-character postings from members around the world.
The show would harness Twitter to put players on the trail of celebrities in an interactive, competitive format.
The producers call their proposed series the first to bring the immediacy of Twitter to the TV screen.
”Twitter is transforming the way people communicate, especially celebrities and their fans,” said Reveille managing director Howard T. Owens, who expects the new project to ”unlock Twitter’s potential on TV.”
No further details were made available on the show’s format or when it might hit the air.

I’ve been using Twitter more lately and it can be a lot of fun. I think that it gives the illusion of letting us get in contact with celebrities, without really offering that. I’ll explain - once in a while, a celebrity will respond to a particular person. If you look to see how many responses a celebrity gets on Twitter, though, there are thousands. Some of the celebrities seem to skim through them, but the chances that they’ll remember or actually respond to you are very low.
If you’re not familiar with Twitter, here’s a quick explanation of how it works - you can send a “direct message,” which is like an internal e-mail, to someone only if they’re also your friend, which in a celebrity’s case won’t happen. They have tens of thousands of followers and have only “friended” a few hundred people in the best cases, probably so they can actually read through the tweets. You can send an @response to anyone on Twitter, but if you look at @responses a celebrity gets there are way too many, and they come in too fast, for the celebrities to go through them all - especially when they’re online and tweeting. Again, they might read the responses if they’re on, but they probably won’t respond to you - they just don’t have the time.

It does happen, though. One guy posted a sarcastic story calling out Ashton Kutcher for not responding to his tweet, and Ashton left him a voicemail message apologizing. The blogger just happened to be the co-founder of the popular website Buzzfeed, which is likely why Ashton was so apologetic. Kirstie Alley also once called out Geno of Geno’s World for saying something rude to her. Many celebrities respond to some fans on Twitter but it’s understandably hard to get their attention.
The two most influential and prolific celebrity Twitterers, married couple Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, both say that they are against this planned reality show and won’t participate in it. If it goes through, they plan to quit the service. They’re responding to a now-deleted article, though, that seemed to misinterpret the planned show. Here are some of their tweets on the matter, in which they link to that story which is no longer available. The Twitter people should have contacted Ashton, Demi and some of the other Twittering celebrities before making the announcement for this show. Ashton and Demi were both linking to a story on the Examiner’s website by author Liz Barrett which has been taken down. The Examiner accepts submissions from anyone and the title of the now-removed story was “Look Out, Ashton Kutcher wants to track celebrities on new reality TV show.” That’s not the case as Ashton isn’t involved with the show. It also sounds like this one author took it a step further and decided to call whatever competitions the show was planning “stalking.” Maybe Ashton and Demi will get on board with some reassurance from Twitter that there will be no exploitation or stalking involved. Hopefully the Twitter people are friends of Ashton and Demi on the service, because they have little chance of getting in touch with them through Twitter.

Brad Pitt in Hello! “I am in love… what else can a guy want?”
This week’s Hello! Magazine features the quotes from Brad Pitt at the after party for Inglourious Basterds that ran in The Mirror and which Kaiser reported yesterday: “I am in love and I have the most beautiful family - what else can a guy want? I am the happiest man ever.” It’s not clear whether Pitt said this directly to Hello!, to a bunch of reporters, or whether he was just overheard. Hello! bills the article on their cover as including new quotes from Pitt, but this is all they seem to have that doesn’t come from other sources. (The part that The Mirror also included where Pitt said “My daughter from Africa is beautiful” is not in Hello!)
Hello! also includes a lot of “insider” quotes about how the two are doing fine and are just subject to many false rumors. It’s possible all this filler text is complete speculation on Hello’s part and that they don’t have a source, but I like their take on it no matter who it’s coming from. Brangelina sells more tabloids than any other couple so it makes sense that there are so many fake stories about them.
Brad and Angelina are fine. Brad does not talk to Aniston
“First of all, none of the stories are true,” one of their closest, most trusted friends told me. “Without exaggeration, there’s just not one word of truth to any of them. The rumours involving Brad and Jennifer are good examples of how completely ludicrous it has all become…
“If you actually knew them you’d know how dumb that is,” says the source. “Brad hasn’t talked to Jennifer in years. I mean, truly they have no communication whatsoever, and not because they are angry but because they have just moved on the way divorced people move on.
“But probably the dumbest story of all? That Angie caught Brad with the couple’s nanny and flew into a rage about it. I mean, really! Like Brad would do such a thing. He might not want me to say so, but that was one lie that really p****d him off. It made him sound so empty headed and fool hardly, and that is so not who he is. But this is what happens when they’re not always out there in the public eye. People make up stories about them just to keep them in the news.”
Brad loves being a “house husband”
“Oh, yes, he’s been thriving for the last couple of months,” another friend of his confirmed. “Just getting up in the morning at the crack of dawn, making a big breakfast - which he’s sort of famous for in the family… kissing Angie goodbye as she goes off to work and then being the house husband, taking care of the kids, getting the older ones off to school, busying the younger ones with activities all day, watching cartoons with them… picking up the kids from school, getting them dinner, doing their homework with them, and then welcoming Angie home.
“It’s been a few months of heaven for Brad. He’s had some help, especially with the cooking. Angie’s brother James has also been staying with them off and on. But it’s pretty much all Brad. He’s amazing as a stay-at-home dad.”
People think that they plot to present a happy face to the world, but that isn’t true
While the couple’s show of unity at Cannes may help dispel the nasty rumours, cynics are not yet satisfied. After all, the world’s press was at Cannes. What better place for a pair of actors to fake a happy relationship? But, clearly, anyone who believes such a thing doesn’t really know Brad and Angelina. Or, as one of Brad’s relatives put it to me: “There are people who actually think Brad and Angie sit down over breakfast and say, ‘Okay, here’s the plan: let’s be seen holding hands and kissing in Cannes. Then, people will think we’re happy when, secretly, we’re actually fighting. Yeah, that should do it. That should pull the wool over their eyes!’
“Let me be clear: if they were not happy they would not be together.”

Angelina, Brad and their children are said to be spending the summer at their rented estate in the French countryside, Chateau Miraval. Angelina is supposedly going to try to learn to cook this summer, although that was supposed to happen last summer and not much came of it. They were also said to be looking for a movie to star in together, but “they realized they if both were making a film at the same time, who’d take care of the kids?” One thing is clear, these two are together and they have six children. Anyone in that situation would understandably have some stress no matter how much help and money they have. Brad and Angelina seem to be in it for the long haul, and if they ever break up or even travel separately we can be sure to hear all about it.

I realize there are a lot of people out there who don?t really care for Denise Richards, but I kind of like the crazy bitch. Yes, she?s immature, she handled her divorce from Charlie Sheen badly, and she may be a homewrecker, but in her defense, Charlie is just as immature and nasty, and it takes two to tango in any given homewrecking situation. I don?t think Denise is God?s gift or anything, but I do think she got a raw deal for a few years in the press. While it?s still up in the air as to whether Denise, her girls, her crazy, obscene girlfriends and her awesome dad will come back for another season of It?s Complicated (reports are mingled, but Denise gave an interview to E!, so it?s probably happening), Denise is getting some other stuff in her life together. Namely, her relationship with Charlie and his wife Brooke.
Denise went to dinner with her ex-husband and his wife, Brooke. And they didn?t kill each other! Hurray! Who knows what really happened, but I doubt Charlie is happy that Denise ran out to E! (story via US Weekly) to give them the scoop on the dinner:
After their bitter breakup and contentious divorce, Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen seemed like they would never want to be in the same room together.
But that’s exactly what they did.
“Believe it or not, we had dinner together with all of us,” Richards — who has two daughters, Sam, 5, and Lola, 3, with her ex — tells E!’s The Daily 10. “So I love that… It’s important for our daughters to see us get along and to be able to be in the same room.”
She adds: “I think anytime you go through a divorce it’s such a huge change in your life, and obviously my divorce was very public and it got very nasty… Charlie and I didn’t want that — we didn’t want all the conflict and this and that, and that’s just was the situation was.”
Their dinner even included 43-year-old Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, who gave birth to twin boys in March.
“Brooke and I have always gotten along, so obviously when we went through what we were all going through it was what it was. But I think she’s great with my girls. They love her.”
She adds that she and Sheen — who divorced in November 2006 after five years of marriage — have managed to put their troubles behind them.
“We’ve worked very hard to get it to this place, and I’m so grateful for it,” the reality star says. “I think it’s important for, you know… It’s a lot less stress, it’s a lot less money, that we get along.”
How was she able to move past their long-standing feud?
“I don’t have a choice but to get past it,” she says. “You know, I don’t read a lot of that stuff obviously — I’m not stupid. I know what’s said in most of it, but it’s just moving forward in my life and at that time when it was really bad in my life, I didn’t think about that stuff. I had to think about, ‘I’m a Mom, I have two daughters that depend on me.’ So I put all that stuff aside and I kind of just live in a little bubble.”
Richards, 38, continues: “I like things very calm and happy.”

What?s interesting about her series It?s Complicated is that Denise actually seems like a nice, average, single soccer mom. She?s usually in sweats, she doesn?t really seem to do that much when her daughters aren?t around, and you can just tell how close she is to her family. I don?t really think Denise is this totally crazy shrew, hellbent on destruction. I think she just took her divorce really badly, and it took a while for her to get back on track. I know, I can?t help it, It?s Complicated was one of my favorite series - it?s better than that friggin? Keeping Up with the Kardashians any day of the week. Come back, Denise!

It?s been a while since we?ve had anything to say about Johnny Depp, and that?s a shame. He?s a good-looking man, and he?s always got interesting things to say in interviews. I have no idea where this interview originated, but several sources are covering these comments like Johnny just made them, so here goes: Johnny Depp longs for the day when he can be an old dude was a massive beer gut. Although, Johnny imagines himself growing old in France, so I suppose his gut would come from wine, cheese and bread. That would be a nice was to spend a retirement - sitting around a nice French chateau, working on your wine gut. Le sigh. I love Johnny.
Unfortunately, this little Bang Media report also includes some old quotes from Chris Martin, he of Coldplay and The Goop (Gwyneth Paltrow). They have some quotes from an interview Chris gave last year, saying, ?I couldn’t possibly write a hit record when I’ve got a beer belly.? Even though it?s from last year, I still want to scream ?Oh, shut up!?
Johnny Depp wants a “beer belly”.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star - who first appeared on the big screen around 25 years ago in horror classic ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ - daydreams about eating and drinking whatever he likes when he eventually retires from movies.
He said: “I just want to become a traditional old man with a beer belly. I’d like to be sitting on the veranda of our place in France, just staring out over the lawns.”
However, the 45-year-old actor seems to be one of the few celebrities desperate to expand his stomach.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin recently admitted he lives in fear of “Belly Day”.
He said: “I feel like you’ve got to write as many songs as you can between the ages of 28 and 33 because those are your last few years before you get a belly.?
“I couldn’t possibly write a hit record when I’ve got a beer belly, so we’re just going to try to write as many songs as possible before that D-Day, or B-Day it should be - for Belly Day!”

Even with a big ol? gut, Johnny would still be sexy as hell. But I?d bet he has one of those rangy body types where he won?t even gain much weight as he gets older. But get this - Johnny Depp is 45 years old… he?ll be 46 years old on June 9th. He?s older than Brad Pitt (by, like, six months). He?s older than Russell Crowe, Robert Downey Jr. and Daniel Craig, too. Alas, he?s not older than Clive Owen or Tom Cruise, although both Tom and Clive are less than a year older than Johnny. What deal with the devil did Johnny make to maintain the look of a perpetual thirty-something?

Anna Paquin definitely has a pretty nice body with some very nice cleavage! Now her face is another story. It's not that Anna has an ugly face, it's just not as hot as the rest of her.
