For the 42-year-old?s role in the film ?Eat, Pray, Love,? the star admits to gaining about seven pounds from chowing down on pasta for the ?Eat? part of the movie.
?It was hard on take ten with a giant plate of pasta,? said Julia. ?It is a challenge and I love a good meal.?
?Someone suggested I had a spit bucket but I can?t do that because it makes me gag. It just grosses me out,? added the witty and beautiful actress.

Making for another long day on set, Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake were together again in New York City on Wednesday (July 21).
The "That 70's Show" cutie and her "Sexy Back" co-star flirtingly giggled with one another while filming scenes for their new movie, "Friends with Benefits".
Directed by Will Gluck, "Friends with Benefits" boasts quite the impressive cast with Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Patricia Clarkson, Andy Samberg and Jenna Elfman all partaking with baseball star Alex Rodriguez also set for an appearance.
A synopsis of the movie via IMDB tells: "The relationship between two friends (Timberlake and Kunis) gets complicated when they decide to get romantic. "

Dusting off the ol? baseball mitt, Avril Lavigne was spotted at the Los Angeles Dodgers game at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Tuesday (July 20).
The alternative punk rocker looked to be having a rockin? good time as she was photographed playing catch in jeans, Converse shoes and a gray tank.
During the course of the afternoon, Avril cheered on to no avail - as the home team lost to state rival the San Francisco Giants by a score of 7-5.
Rumors that Ms Lavigne and boyfriend Brody Jenner (who have been dating since February) are getting their own reality TV show continue to circulate the gossip world.
Although nothing has been confirmed, it is being said that Brody is pleading to Avril to be a part of yet another one of his reality TV gigs.

Looking to be in desperate need of a trip to the salon, Britney Spears was spotted out on Tuesday (July 20) with a headful of ratty-looking extensions during a trip to Crate and Barrel.
The ?Gimme More? songstress was dressed casually in an orange tank top, beige shorts and brown boots and revealed a large section of extension-free dark roots along with a small bald spot.
In other news, Ms Spears recently received some good news - the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has officially dropped its child abuse investigation against the 28-year-old star.
According to NY Daily News, the department said there was "absolutely no truth to the accusations" made by former bodyguard Fernando Flores, who had accused Spears of beating her two sons, 4-year-old Sean Preston and 3-year-old Jayden James.

Does Xenu approve of reality shows? ?Tis a question for the ages. Various British sources are claiming that Tom Cruise is ?contemplating? a reality show. But it?s a weird story - I think the gist is that it would be more like a short documentary series about Tom and Katie?s life together, with Xenu Suri rather. Tom wants complete control of it, and you know what? Even though this sounds like total bullsh-t, it?s something Tom really should consider. I would totally watch a Tom Cruise reality show, if it focused on his life with the Kate-Bot.
Tom Cruise is reportedly in talks to give the world a glimpse into his life with wife Katie Holmes as part of a TV documentary.
The Hollywood actor has been a regular in the gossip columns ever since he began dating the former Dawson’s Creek star, but the celebrity couple has managed to keep most of the details of their romance private.
Cruise is now said to be considering opening up their marriage by releasing footage he filmed of his wife and their young daughter, Suri, and is in talks with TV bosses about a possible show, according to Britain’s Grazia magazine.
A source tells the publication, “He’s been filming Katie and other aspects of his life for the past month. The original impetus was that he would select a few personal clips to show fans, but word has got out through his agents (CAA) and he is currently fielding offers from entertainment companies. Tom is now deliberating what to do with his footage. No deal has been struck??
“Tom places a premium on control, so he’s reluctant to commit to doing a reality TV show unless he’s 100 per cent certain it will reflect him and Katie in the best light possible… Releasing documentary footage is a way of getting closer to his public.”

My guess is that the closest he?ll ever come to doing something like this is maybe a television documentary, like they did for Madonna or Mick Jagger, with Primetime or whatever, following Tom around for a few weeks and they compile it into a two-hour special. It?s not going to be like, a Martin Bashir extravaganza. I also think that Tom might be contemplating various things to get his career on track, after Knight & Day?s bad domestic box office. Does Tom think that if we get to see him in private, we?ll like him more? That?s an interesting bet. Because the way I imagine Tom and Katie in private - yikes. My idea of it: Katie spends her days popping pills and spending Tom?s money, while Tom has ?extracurricular activities? with various lithe young men - discreetly, of course. I didn?t even think Katie and Tom even spent that much time together anymore?

Over the past few years, I?ve really grown to like Leonardo DiCaprio. He?s not one of my imaginary lovers, like Clive Owen or Gerard Butler, but I respect Leo as an actor, and I like who he is as a celebrity. He?s interesting most of the time, but he keeps most of his stuff on the down-low, which is good too. He?s been doing totally solid work too - he was a very solid lead in Inception, although? here?s the thing: I buy Leo as the lead in a thriller, a straight drama, even an action film. But even though his most famous performance was as a romantic lead (in Titanic), I just don?t buy it. He rarely has chemistry with his leading ladies, and I?m not buying it. Anyway, Leo is the cover boy for the new issue of Rolling Stone. The cover shot (below) is nice and brooding, but it?s still good to know that Leo can pull out the old-school Teen Beat shirtless-on-a-bed pose to sell himself (above).
In the box office smash Inception , Leonardo DiCaprio spends most of his time inside people?s dreams. But what’s going inside DiCaprio’s head in real life? In the new issue of Rolling Stone, on sale at newsstands today, associate editor Brian Hiatt finds out. “[My stomach churns over] really stupid stuff,” DiCaprio reveals. “Things that shouldn’t make you anxious whatsoever. It’s crazy how your mind will become this database to make you worry about things that are so arbitrary. I have a well-organized life, and I’ve put a lot of thought into the things that I do, and then, you know, my stomach will be?I’ll just be sitting there, totally anxious about something ridiculous.”
In one of the most intimate portraits yet of the intensely private actor, DiCaprio relaxes enough to smoke a few cigars, have some beers, sing the Cheers theme song (badly) and open up on everything from his wild youth as Hollywood’s hottest heartthrob to a recent brush with death:
On growing up:
“I was essentially a dwarf with the biggest mouth in the world. I would talk back to anyone and be up for any fight, and when you tell a kid that’s three years older than you to shove it, you’re going to get your ass beat?I was a real punk, there’s no question about it.”
On partying in the pre-TMZ age:
“I got to be wild and nuts, and I didn’t suffer as much as people do now, where they have to play it so safe that they ruin their credibility. I didn’t care what anyone thought…. It was also about avoiding the tornado of chaos, of potential downfall. It was, ‘Wow, how lucky are we to not have hung out with that crowd or done those things?’ My two main competitors in the beginning, the blond-haired kids I went to audition with, one hung himself and the other died of a heroin overdose… . I was never into drugs at all. There aren?t stories of me in a pool of my own vomit in a hotel room on the Hollywood Strip.”
On dating:
“I had better success meeting girls before Titanic. My interactions with them didn’t have all the stigma behind it, not to mention there wasn?t a perception of her talking to me for only one reason.”
On dealing with his Titanic fame:
“It was like there was a separate entity out there,” he says. “Not to use a James Cameron reference, but it was like being in a little bit of an avatar.” He cringes. “That’s going to sound extremely self- indulgent. It’s going to sound like, ‘Oh, I was a frickin’ avatar,’ give me a break, I’m already vomiting.”

The burlesque babe was in the house for the Dita Von Teese Tales of the Cocktail party, and her sexy black frock had all the boys drooling.
In a recent interview, Dita revealed that she?s no fan of sweatpants. When asked if she?d ever wear them, she replied, "Why would I do that? Who wants to purposefully feel crappy?"
As for her primp time, Dita explained, "I have a lot of friends that have a very natural look and it takes just as long [to achieve]. They straighten their hair, wear all that bronzer and beige lipstick and apply 50 coats of mascara to make themselves look natural. I'm doing the same thing just with different colors. "It's been really fun! Her clothes were magnificent. I feel so lucky. We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things she wore. Armani made two dresses for me to wear."
Katie continued, "She not only had great style, but she [was] an artist [and] a writer. She was an illustrator. She was an editor. Her great style was both appropriate for every event that she went to and also classic, and also things that were wearable. I feel really lucky to be playing her."

Angelina is predictably the cover girl for this week?s People Magazine - she gave the mag an interview about her family life, all to promote the opening of Salt. Incidentally, Us Weekly is running a Jolie cover story this week too, but they?re doing an old-school ?How Angelina Stole Brad From Jen? story, because Us Weekly thinks it?s 2005, apparently. Anyway, People?s online excerpts are pretty basic, so I?m including some more excerpts from Angelina?s Parade interview, courtesy of Celebrity Baby Scoop:
Yes, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt can work a red carpet like no other star couple. But at home with six kids all under the age of 9, the pair are content just to be Mom and Dad.
“Brad’s an extraordinary father,” Jolie, 35, tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “We have each other’s backs.”
The teamwork of the actress and Pitt, 46, comes in handy when it comes to settling differences between kids Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4, and 2-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, says Jolie.
“They can’t go behind one [parent] to the other,? she says. “Not one of us is softer than the other.”
The actress, whose new political thriller Salt opens Friday, also talks about tackling her own stunts in the film. “I happen to like heights, so we found moments where I can use that,” she says.
One thing that does scare her: the idea of her kids becoming teenagers: “I break out into a sweat at just the thought.”
Whether enjoying their luxurious Los Angeles home or traveling to third world countries with their parents, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt?s children ? Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 4, and fraternal twins Knox and Vivienne, 2 ? have learned to love it all.
?They like this house [in Los Angeles] because it has this pool. But they also love Cambodia because it?s got the fun places to throw rocks and cut coconuts and ride on elephants,? Jolie, 35, tells PARADE.
?They love Africa because the kids are really fun to play with and the nature is beautiful.?
Noting that she and Pitt ?try not to spoil our children,? Jolie insists the family?s jet-setting ways have taught their brood to treasure what they do have ? and sympathize with those who don?t.
?They spend time in Cambodia in a teeny hut and hang out with local children. They help me visit distressed areas. They have friends with no money. They also appreciate nice things,? the Salt actress reveals.
?We?re hoping that, organically, it will be in them to feel for people who do not have as much. They?ll be inspired to give and help people out because they?ll have close friends who don?t have as much. They won?t whine about things they want. And they won?t want more.?
And although strong friendships have been formed as a result of their travels, the proud mama raves the sibling bond ? and general unity as a family ? is what keeps them close.
?We?re a very close, very connected, very big family. The children talk to each other, and they look out for each other, and they have each other,? she says. ?Yes, they have friends, but they also are very, very closely connected to each other.?

Yeah, that?s basically it. I know some people are already sick of Angelina?s press tour for Salt (the same people who are sick of her, always), but I?m genuinely surprised by how low-key her press has been. I expected at least one other monthly magazine cover and some major television interviews beyond Nightline. Maybe she?s trying not to over-saturate. Maybe when the international September issues come out, we?ll see that she?s other interviews. We?ll see.

The ?Ocean?s Eleven? actor will be given the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award for his ?Hope for Haiti? telethon at the upcoming awards show on August 29th.
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences chairman John Shaffner told press George was ?an obvious choice? for the trophy due to his use of television to gather interest and support for the charity.
Clooney is also responsible for helping raise awareness about the tragedies in Darfur as well as the disaster of Hurricane Katrina.

A mentally ill man was arrested last week on Sunset Boulevard while trolling around trying to find Jennifer Aniston. Diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic Jason R. Peyton, 24, drove from Pennsylvania to California with the intent of kidnapping and marrying Aniston, according to his mother and his own statements, as outlined in a restraining order filed with the court. Aniston has never met or had any contact with Peyton, who was carrying duct tape, a “sharp object” a bag and messages for her when he was apprehended. He spent a full eight days looking for her after being able to find her home. To make matters worse, Peyton has a history of violent behavior and stalking. In 2008, he was arrested for attempting to abduct a female neighbor with whom he was obsessed. He also physically attacked his mother at least four times. He’s currently being detained on a psychiatric hold and awaiting a court hearing on August 9.
Jennifer Aniston has been granted a restraining order against a stalker suspect who’d driven cross-country to be with her in a car that had messages including “I love Jennifer Aniston” and “I love you Jennifer Aniston” carved into its hood and driver’s side door.
Unable to locate the actress’ home address, Jason R. Peyton was arrested July 15 on Sunset Boulevard hanging out and looking for her near businesses he believes she frequents. He was placed on a psychiatric hold, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The restraining order, granted Tuesday, was based on evidence of stalking and a credible threat of violence. Court papers filed describe Peyton as “a diagnosed delusional and paranoid schizophrenic, with a history of violence and criminal harassment and stalking, including an apparent planned abduction of a former stalking victim.”
He was, the documents said, found “laying-in-wait” for Aniston in possession of …
… a sharp object, a roll of duct tape and written messages to the actress — including baby names for the child he hoped they’d have together. He allegedly believes he’s been secretly mentally communicating with her for two years.
Peyton’s parents reported him missing after he took off from his Pennsylvania around June 25, leaving a note that said he was going to California; he called his mother while he was on the road, and she contacted L.A. police after he told her he was “on a mission to go to Jennifer Aniston” and that she would “hear about it on the news.” According to court papers, he has attempted suicide at least four times; has a history of assaulting women, including his own mother, when he doesn’t get what he wants; and has been institutionalized repeatedly.
It’s not the first time Aniston has found herself in scary stalker circumstances — a homeless man jumped her fence and entered her home in August 2005, fortunately while she was away on location.

TMZ has a picture of this guy’s car, and he has “I Love Jennifer Aniston” etched into the side and “I Love You Jennifer Aniston” on the hood, which at least made him easy to find. He told officers that “Jennifer communicated to me mentally that she wants me to come and marry her, and wants me to be the father of her children. We love each other… I’m not going to stop until we meet.
In the petition requesting a three year restraining order, [available on TMZ] which was filed by a lawyer for Jennifer Aniston and signed by her, it states that “Peyton’s fixation, obsessive conduct, and stalking has caused Petitioner [Aniston] to become seriously alarmed, annoyed and harassed, and has caused her, as would any reasonable person, to suffer distress… Petitioner has become seriously alarmed and has real and reasonable fears for her safety, and that of her friends, representatives, and those around her.”
The petition even includes a personal statement from Aniston, which states, in part, “Mr. Peyton’s on-going, ever-increasing, aggressive and harassing conduct are extremely distressing. I fear for my personal safety, and that of those around me.”
That’s so scary and I hope that Aniston can find some consolation that the guy is in custody. From what I know she has no personal security team (although it’s hard to tell - we rarely see clear paparazzi photos of her lately) and maybe she’ll hire protection for her own peace of mind.
NOTE BY KAISER: These photos were just released of Jennifer at her perfume launch in London, at Harrod’s. I like the soft Pink mini-dress, it’s very pretty. The bodice bows are a little cutesy, but whatever. Also: Aniston’s perfume is no longer called Lolavie - no more “laughing at life” - because it’s too close to Marc Jacob’s LOLA or something. So now it’s just called “Jennifer Aniston”. Eh.

Here are some photos of Britney Spears out shopping yesterday. She looks really good from the front, I have to say. I mean, style-wise, she?s still a train wreck in her short shorts, tank top and combat boots, but the bra is on and her little face looks sober and cognizant. From the back is a different story:

Okay, two Britney stories for you. First off, the child abuse investigation against her has been officially closed by the LA County Department of Children and Family Services. Back in June, Britney?s former bodyguard went to The Sun (through ?sources?) and told horrific stories about Britney beating her kids with belts and feeding them food they were allergic to. But it was probably all bullsh-t, and now Britney doesn?t have to worry, I guess.
Second story - Britney just released her latest teaser campaign for her new fragrance, Radiance. The bottle is so sparkly and childish! It?s kind of cute, I guess. Britney?s perfumes still sell like hotcakes, so that?s good.

Jennifer Aniston has gotten a restraining order against a man who drove cross-country to meet her armed with a knife and a roll of duct tape. I guess some people just don’t appreciate the finer points of romance like I do. TMZ says
Jason Peyton was found on July 15, “laying-in-wait in a location he believes Aniston frequents with a ‘sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages about [Aniston].”
Peyton spent 8 days trying to find her and when he was taken into custody cops found carved messages in the paint of his car saying, “I LOVE YOU Jennifer Aniston.” According to the documents, “Peyton is an obsessed, mentally ill and delusional stalker — with a history of violence and criminal stalking — who drove cross-country in his delusional ‘mission’ to locate and marry [Aniston], with whom he believes he is in a relationship.”
As for Peyton’s violent past — it includes stabbing himself and hitting his mother with a golf club.
Peyton, who has been institutionalized before, was ordered to take antipsychotic drugs but authorities say he stopped taking them in March.
I don’t know what she’s thinking here. That’s probably the most meaningful relationship she’s had in the last six years. The ones with “Imaginary Brad” and the Beanie Baby Christmas Bears collection don’t count.
