This is Heidi Klum?s April Marie Claire cover. As fans of Project Runway know, Heidi is wearing a beautiful turquoise one-shoulder cocktail dress designed by one of the designers competing in this season?s PR. They actually made the cover outfit a challenge for the designers, and a dude named Anthony Williams won. I actually agreed with the judges? decision that time around, and you can see why. This color and style just pops on the Marie Claire cover, and it feels very ?fresh?. Plus, you know, it?s really hard for Heidi to take a bad photo. Well done!
Anyway, it doesn?t look like there are any significant interview excerpts. Williams, the designer, told the magazine: ?Heidi?s pregnancy was happening right before our faces! he laughs. I thought, this woman is not sacrificing fashion at all. She is 100 percent full frontal ?I am pregnant, I am fashion, and I am fierce.? I was really inspired by that.? Here?s one short excerpt from Marie Claire:
Ask any woman to strip down for the camera five weeks post-childbirth, and she’ll laugh in your face. Ask Heidi Klum, and she’s totally game. At our cover shoot, the supermodel, mother of four, designer of two maternity lines, singer, host of Project Runway, and now virtual host of the series’ video game, joked that she might not fit into anything ? then easily slipped into everything. The MC fashion team had one objective: Create strong, powerful looks worthy of the knigin of all media. Minimal, architectural pieces in dark, sophisticated tones highlighted the woman who has it all ? and does even more.

Nice. Something I?ve noticed about Heidi through watching all of the seasons of PR is that she?s gotten much more vocal and opinionated about fashion and everything else. I think she?s really come into her own throughout the series, and I hope PR continues for years to come.
Sidenote: I forgot to mention this in the Oscar fashion posts, but Chris March from Season 4 not only designed Meryl Streep’s Golden Globes dress, but her Oscar dress as well! Sigh… I love PR!

She?s wearing some kind of gray-silver minidress with a black coat, he?s wearing a nice gray suit. They make a very attractive middle-aged couple. Since yesterday was a day for two big AnisBut posts (their W Magazine cover and Gerard talking about some bush-trimming), I?m just going to make up my own captions for these photos.

Speaking of her new bikinis, Elizabeth told press, “You don’t have to be skinny to look good - curvy women can also look great in bikinis. I decided to venture into beachwear not only because I’ve always been obsessed with holiday clothes, but also because it’s an area where women - regardless of shape or size - can either look amazing or really get it wrong.”
She added, “I wanted to come up with styles that make people look great and develop a resort collection which would make a woman feel fabulously sexy at any age.”

Making the big decision to put her home up for sale, Mischa Barton’s Beverly Hills home is now on the market.
The former “O.C.” star has decided to move away from the Beverly Hills neighborhood and is asking $8.4 million for the Tuscan-style mansion.
According to the listing for the 7,600 sq ft property — it boasts six bedrooms, a modern kitchen, a “gracefully ascending” staircase and a media room along with a terrace, an expansive yard, a swimming pool and even a spa.
It was recently reported Ms Barton is being sued by M.R.A. Realties for failing to pay the $7,000-a-month rent on her New York apartment for three months.

She’s definitely made a name for herself thanks in part to her remarkable backside, but Kim Kardashian’s booty doesn’t happen by accident.
Celebrity fitness trainer Ramona Braganza recently explained that having a derriere like Kim’s will cost plenty of time and effort. “Unless you’re genetically gifted, booties definitely take a lot of work to develop.
If you’re up for the challenge, Braganza says there are some exercises that will help to build up things in the bottom region.
Exercises like weighted squats, single-leg lunges, and step-ups will aid in maximizing the gluteus maximus.

There?s some interesting gossip about them at the Oscars, actually. In Touch Weekly reported that ?Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick were barely speaking at the Oscars, used separate dressing rooms and arrived and left separately.? Oh, that a good one, gossip-wise, isn?t it? And it goes along with a blind item I read yesterday:
There was a well-known entertainment pair at the Academy Awards who sat together, occasionally holding and laughing together. What a nice couple! Not. They actually can?t stand each other and haven?t lived together in months. However, as one of Hollywood?s perceived stable couples, they are not yet ready to explain to the world that their long-time (by Hollywood standards) relationship is over. Certainly not in such a public setting. And if one of them had showed up solo, or with another escort, it would have brought up too many questions. So it was easier just to go together, pretend that everything?s great, and to go their separate ways after the big event? each to a new boyfriend.

“He gave away my game! Normally you would think that somebody you care about would keep those intimate details to themselves.”
“It was definitely compliment ... in a way. But I don’t really want people to know that about me. It’s like, I’m the good girl and then that happens.”
Speaking of her bad relationship luck, Jess also admitted that ex-boyfriend Tony Romo picked a doozy of a day to dump her. “He broke up with me on my birthday!”

This is a cute story that kind of warms my heart. However, it also smacks of positive PR and I wouldn’t put it past Renee Zellweger and her people to stage something like this. That may sound too cynical and normally I wouldn’t assume something like that about Renee, but she seems to be playing the game lately and this is Hollywood. The official version is that a guy paid Renee’s expired meter while she was getting coffee and she gifted him with a sweet note and a $100 Starbucks gift card. It all seems too convenient that the paparazzi just happened to be there to capture the moment and even get a photo of Renee’s note. (And several agencies have these photos so it’s not like one guy just happened upon the scene. Still, she’s wearing the same workout gear she wears everywhere so she didn’t dress up for the occasion.)
She’s usually the one drinking (and carrying) the coffee. But on Wednesday, Rene Zellweger was the person serving it.
The actress was preparing to leave a Santa Monica, Calif., Starbucks when a fellow coffee-drinker noticed that her parking meter was about to expire. In the nick of time, the man slipped some coins into the meter, saving the actress from a possible ticket. Her reply? Zellweger gave him a $100 Starbucks gift card ? with a sweet message.
“Wow,” the note read. “Thank you so much for the kindness. Warmly, with gratitude, Rene!

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard a nice story about Renee extolling kindness on strangers. In late 2007, she gifted a pair of Manolo Blahniks to a girl who worked at a makeup counter at Neiman Marcus who was admiring them. That story could have been PR too, but it sounded genuine to me. Maybe Renee is just the type of person who likes to share her success in small meaningful ways with the people who brighten her day. If this is PR, it’s genius and more celebrities should follow suit. I would love to hear about a campaign to spread joy to the nice people we encounter during the day. Even if it was a marketing campaign for a product or service it could go a long way to spreading kindness. I loved that free hugs campaign, but this would be a little less touchy-feely. I would love to give some small token to the guy who holds the door open for me (I’m visiting the South now, and they all do it, but it still makes me smile every time!) or the cashier who is especially friendly. Maybe Renee started a trend!
Update: the guy was a photographer: I wrote this whole story and was then downloading the photos from WENN, when I saw the photo agency’s version. This guy wasn’t a random citizen as People reports - he was a paparazzo! They write: “The unnamed photographer spotted a parking attendant doing his rounds as he was waiting for the movie star to leave her coffee shop retreat after a shopping trip in Santa Monica, California. The quick-thinking snapper dropped coins into her meter to make sure Zellweger didn’t get a ticket.” So Renee may have given the gift card to thank the guy with the benefit of getting into the paparazzi’s good graces and receiving some positive press out of it. She seems to have succeeded on both counts! Aw, now I like her more.

Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Jessica Biel was spotted at the premiere screening of “Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro” in New York City last night (March 10).
The “7th Heaven” hottie looked lovely as she arrived at the Tribeca Grand Hotel, sporting a black blazer overtop a multi-colored dress and strappy black heels.
Speaking of the grueling mountain climb featured in the show (premiering Sunday on VH1), Jessica explained, “She was like this mysterious, foreboding, ominous woman. And she was hidden almost all day long, and just when you were unmotivated, and feeling like crap and uninspired and thinking, ‘What am I doing here?’ the clouds would part and she would peek out, and the beauty would strike you, and then you’d be inspired again. And she was literally, like, this woman who would pull this veil over her face and disappear, and then she’d show a little bit of herself, and then she’d disappear again. It was kind of this running joke, but I really felt that way. I felt like, ‘I respect you. Please let me get up, please.’ “
Biel continued, “It was a combination of the mental and the psychological aspects of the mountain, of the slow-but-steady pace that you had to go up it, and that sometimes made your brain just want to explode, because you just wanted to get there so badly. And then you couldn’t see anything at night, when we were doing our ascent attempt, and you start thinking that it would never end and you’d start to think, ‘Why am I here? This is miserable!’”
“But then you’d get this rush of inspiration of ‘I’m not doing this for me. Hot on the promotional trail, Jessica Simpson was spotted making her rounds in New York City on Wednesday (March 10).
The “Dukes of Hazzard” damsel gave a smile and a wave as she popped into the Ed Sullivan Theatre for a “Late Show with David Letterman” appearance.
Miss Simpson is currently in the midst of boosting interest in her upcoming TV show “The Price of Beauty,” which debuts on VH1 on March 15.
