Having just made her way to the winter retreat the previous day, Zoe Saldana was spotted enjoying the sunny clear skies of Aspen, CO on Wednesday (December 22).
Joined by a male pal, the "Avatar" beauty wandered the streets before rushing off to to meet up with the rest of her entourage to ski the slopes of Buttermilk mountain.
s previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Saldana made the trip to Aspen with fiance Keith Britton - who she became engaged to back in June.
The much-needed vacation follows a busy year for the brunette beauty, who most recently wrapped up shooting the Olivier Megaton directed drama "Colombiana".

There?s no doubt he?s one of the most talented actors in Hollywood, and now Christian Bale is set to star in an upcoming film directed by China?s most famous director, Zhang Yimou.
The movie, which has a 90.2 million dollar budget, is called ?Nanjing Hereos? and will revolve around the year 1937 when Japanese troops killed thousands of Chinese citizens in what was then the nation?s capital.
Mr Bale will play an American priest named John who helps a great number of Chinese escape certain death.
Filming will begin on January 10th near Nanjing and will be shot about 40% English and the rest in Mandarin Chinese.

Gearing up for her next album release, Britney Spears is reportedly holding tryouts for a music video today (December 22).
The pop queen is looking for male and female dancers to join her in the video for the album?s single, which is rumored to be called ?Hold It Against Me.?
Spears' choreographer, Brian Freidman, hinted about the auditions via Twitter. He wrote on Monday, "Countdown... 2 days till that very special audition I am holding in LA. Very exciting!!!"
The single is due out in January with the album set for a March release.

It all started when she showed up to her rehab facility 10 minutes after curfew, and was accused of smelling like alcohol, but the only thing Lindsay Lohan had to drink on the night in question were Shirley Temples.
Sources close to the ?Mean Girls? actress claim that on December 11, Lohan met up with a friend at the Viceroy Hotel in Palm Springs, CA to get her hair done.
While in the salon, Linds knocked back a couple mixed, but apparently non-alcoholic, drinks - but when she showed up to her sober house around 1 am, employee Dawn Holland accused her of drinking booze.
Holland claimed she smelled alcohol on Lindsay's breath, but LiLo refused to take a breathalyzer.

Once landed, Madge and her entourage were allowed to hop off the plane and onto a bus- but they were the only ones.
One passenger complained, "After about an hour, a bus came along and took her and her party of about 15 off the plane. It seemed a little unfair ? it's not like she is the president or anything. The rest of us all had to wait for another two hours."

Paris tweeted, "We were about to take off then security made everyone deplane because they found a big knife on board the plane. Scary that it got on plane."
As for the trip to Hawaii, Paris and Cy are joined in the island locale by Hilton's family - as parents Rick and Kathy, as well as sister Nicky, were all seen flying out of LAX Airport the previous day.

We all know that Gwyneth Paltrow loves her children, little Apple and Moses. I have no doubt that Gwyneth is a good mother - she seems very engaged in her kids? lives, and when she takes ?time off? to be a stay-at-home mom, she really follows through and goes underground with it, you know? She?s not trotting her kids out every day for the paparazzi, she?s not pushing the ?just a simple, happy mother and her children? visuals that so many celebrity women push. But then Goopy has to ruin it every time by getting on her high horse and, with her voice and tone dripping with sanctimony, tell you how much she hates doing anything without her children, and how all of us are so ?less than? her kids. While I understand what Goopy is trying to get across - that she adores her kids and that she prioritizes them above all else - she always has a habit of framing every issue in snotty condescension.
Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow loves acting, but it has to be a pretty compelling part to take her away from her favorite role: mom to daughter Apple and son Moses. Playing troubled alcoholic country superstar Kelly Canter in ‘Country Strong’ fit the bill, as does her role in ‘Contagion,’ as an infected working mom in the new Steven Soderbergh film shooting now.
When considering movie roles, “you want to put yourself in the hands of someone who’s really good or where you might learn something that you never thought you’d learn because my time out of my house and away from my kids is no joke,” a dead-serious Paltrow told PopEater while doing press in Los Angeles for ‘Country Strong.’
“I am not putting them to bed right now, I’m here, and that’s really hard on me. But at the same time, it’s what I do, so when I do my work, I want to be inspired. I want to bring home something they’ll be proud of and they’ll look back and go, ‘Wow, Mom was alright’.”
When she’s home in London with her children and her husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, she is extremely hands on, she stresses. “I’m at everything and I pick them up everyday, take them [to school] every day, do everything for them, homework, bath …When I’m home, I’m extremely 100% present.”
Though Paltrow has often talked about her love of living in Europe, it sounds like she may be missing the green, green grass of home … just a little bit at least.
“My favorite thing about [living in London] is it’s very green. We’re in the middle of the city, but we have grass and trees and a little swing set [and] I can take Apple to the Royal Ballet to see ‘The Nutcracker.’ There’s a quality of life in terms of a big city there that’s pretty great, but, you know, I miss home. It’s hard. I love it there, but the older I get the more I miss, specifically, California.”

Like, any mother who is merely giving ?95%? to their kids is so unworthy of the gift of children. Art that her children will appreciate some day. That was just my take on it.

Shania Twain has issued a letter on her website expressing her joy at becoming engaged to her ex husband’s mistress’ ex husband, as Kaiser so aptly put it. Some of you speculated in the comments that Shania potentially cheated on her husband first by hooking up with her now-fiance, who was a family friend. I followed this story closely when it came out, and am convinced that Shania’s husband, “Mutt” Lange, cheated on her with his secretary/estate manager, after which Shania and the secretary’s husband found solace in each other. In fact the National Enquirer tracked Lange down in Switzerland two years ago to get a comment on his wife’s new romance with his girlfriend’s ex husband, and he seemed genuinely surprised that those two had hooked up. (He also kind of gave Shania his blessing, the bastard.) Anyway, here’s what Shania wrote. It’s flowery and over the top, but she really seems like she’s an emotional person like that. I remember how she cried on American Idol when Big Mike sang “It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing.”

I’ve spent much time over the course of this past year, learning about others who have suffered loss in their lives and taken inspiration from how they’ve managed to overcome it. I’m learning that grief and the suffering of loss, challenges me to be more sensitive and understanding of other’s and also more accepting of my own struggles. Challenge reminds me how important it is to let those who love me, care for me when I need it. The support of others has helped me to move forward less fearful of change, allowing me to embrace the beauty of life today and remain more open to whatever it brings tomorrow.
The people who make my life the most joyful are the ones I am able to lean on because of my own humanness. In the last two and a half years of adjusting to life after separation and divorce, I needed to lean on others more often than I was accustomed to. These people have been gifts, and I am fortunate to have so many of these beautiful people - friends, family and beloved fans, who’s support I cherish more deeply with each day that passes. Now another year is about to pass, and I would like to thank everyone who helped me believe that new beginnings are possible and that love can be trusted. Thank you!
2010 is leaving me with a renewed faith in love and commitment. I believe in the right to be loved and the blessing of being able to love in return. So, do you think that Shania and this Fred guy just started hanging out as a big F U to their exes? There were quite a few staged paparazzi pics of them at the time that suggested that they were getting a huge kick out of it.
Also, as Kaiser reported Shania’s engagement is on the cover of the new US Weekly this week. I tend to think that Shania announced it to coincide with her new reality show, which premieres on the Oprah Network in January. I also think she’s pretty triumphant after all she went through, and I don’t blame her. It seemed clear to me that she gave People Magazine the details of her husband’s infidelity back in 2008 and now she’s all “I’m engaged, bitches.” I love how she stayed out of the spotlight for so long and then kind of edged back at a difficult and critical time in her life. She’s a survivor.

This is TMI and sounds so naive. This girl was just married two months ago. Things change when you’ve been with a person for a few years. These two first got together just over a year ago, and Russell has a well documented history of sleeping around. There aren’t any tricks or sexy outfits that will keep a guy interested if he’s got a wandering dick and an appetite for strange. It doesn’t matter how gorgeous you are, how experimentative (and you know Katy thinks normal sex stuff is so groundbreaking) or how willing you are to please when it comes down to it. I hope things work out for Katy and Russell and I really like both of them. In this case I’d like to be wrong about these two.
One more thing - you don’t just get a British “passport” when you marry a British citizen. You get visa status as a spouse to stay in the country for an extended period, after you apply. Getting a passport requires citizenship and you have to live in the UK for five years first. (I checked.) I know Katy is just 26 but she sounds so clueless to me sometimes.

Here’s a fascinating story from 60 Minutes about something called “superior autobiographical memory,” which basically means being able to remember every day and every moment in your life down to insignificant details. Actress Marilu Henner, 58, best known for her role on Taxi, has this ability. She’s one of only six people that have been identified with it. 60 Minutes anchor Leslie Stahl is good friends with Henner and initially told her producer that she wasn’t interested in this story, because she knew Henner and didn’t think this was as rare as it is.
This ability has only recently been discovered. The handful of people with superior autobiographical memory have proven to scientists that their memories are infallibly accurate by quickly recounting known details from random dates provided to them, including weather conditions and public events. They usually describe their extraordinary ability by simply saying that they “see” the day in question as if it were yesterday.
The people with this talent shown on 60 Minutes seem superficially “normal.” They deny that they’re autistic or savants and researchers say they seem to function normally. They all have OCD-like behaviors, such as organizing and hand washing, but don’t seem to be crippled by them. This may reveal how they’re not overwhelmed by all those vivid memories, because as Henner explained she’s organized them so well she can recall any day at a moments notice.
If you’d like to watch this story, it’s available in two parts online and below. Marilu Henner comes in at around 6:00 in the first video. It cracks me up so much how she can tell you everything that she’s done ever. Fast forward to 9:50 in the first video to see five people with this ability all recall random events and dates at the same time.
MRI results show that people with this ability have parts of their brain that are “significantly larger” than control subjects. The temporal lobe, where memories are stored, and another part of the brain the caudate nucleus, are much larger in this group than in average people. This is somewhat consistent with MRI findings in people with obsessive compulsive disorder, although the results with this group are much more significant.
I had a girlfriend in high school who could recount entire conversations she’d had word for word. It didn’t seem like she was making up dialog at all, and she could tell you the exact words. It was interesting (i.e. gossip worthy) only about 10% of the time and soon became boring. You don’t want to hear about something in real time, you only want to know the important details. This ability to remember every day of your life is fascinating, though. It seems like such a mixed blessing. One person with
superior autobiographical memory declined to be interviewed by 60 Minutes as she finds that it interferes too much with her life.
On a superficial level, I want Marilu Henner to come organize my closet. She’s incredible.

The trip to Colorado comes after quite the busy past year for Zoe, as she recently was featured in the new Calvin Klein ads while filming numerous films including the most recent, "Colombiana".
Due out in theaters next September, the Olivier Megaton directed drama is about "a young woman [Saldana] who witnessed her parents' murder as a child in Bogota before growing up to be a stone-cold assassin."

Once again making headlines for the wrong reasons, Lindsay Lohan is under investigation for misdemeanor charges which may end up resulting in another probation violation.
With the situation stemming from a run-in with a Betty Ford Center employee after the "Mean Girls" star turned up 10 minutes past curfew on December 12th, chemical technician Dawn Holland has finally opened up about the alleged assault.
Talking to TMZ, Holland revealed, "Lindsay and two other patients had snuck out, went drinking and tried to sneak back in and they got caught. We were told by our administration on-call to do a breathalyzer test, which she refused to do. She was angry and out of control."
Claiming to have been pushed by Lohan, Holland adds that the oft troubled actress "kept yelling and cursing and screaming" even as she was on the phone calling police.
The chemical technician went on to tell, "Then she tried to snatch the phone from out of my arm. She grabbed my wrist and twisted my arm and my hand to get the phone. She was the only patient out of the three who was being very uncooperative and out of control. I did not touch the woman! I am not willing to risk my job over any patient."
With the Palm Desert Police Department still investigating the incident, Miss Holland is currently on paid medical leave while unable to use the injured hand.
Meanwhile, Lindsay will have to go back in front of Jude Elden S. Fox if charges are brought against her - with a conviction likely to lead to a jail sentence of up to six months.

Showing up for a promotional appearance, Sofia Vergara was spotted making her much-awaited arrival at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City on Tuesday (December 21).
There for a taping of the "Late Show with David Letterman,? the bundled up Colombian cutie was all smiles as she made her way inside, waving to her fans before disappearing through the doors.
Earlier in the day, Ms Vergara paid a visit to ?Good Morning America? in which she revealed that she uses her mother as inspiration for her role as the feisty Gloria on ABC?s ?Modern Family.?
She told, "When I first get the script, before I go to the table read every week, I just think, 'How would my mother react to this?' because I want to make it very real. I mean, funny, but in a way I want to make it like how a Colombian woman reacts."
