Just days away from her new album's release, Carrie Underwood paid a visit to SiriusXM Studio in New York City earlier today (April 27).
The 29-year-old country singer looked fetching in a floral-printed mini skirt, cowgirl boots, multi-chain pendant necklace & white eyelet sweater as she tossed on a pair of headphones and got situated in her chair for the sitdown interview.
As for Miss Underwood's upcoming studio effort, "Blown Away? is all set to drop on May 1st - and Carrie recently spoke with ABC News about a range of topics including one of her new tracks titled ?Forever Changed.?
Revealing that the love song reminds her of her grandmother?s death, a teary-eyed Underwood said, ?I get emotional even talking about this song to be honest. It?s just beautiful. It just becomes very real? and I remember my grandmother at the end of her life, looking at my dad and thinking that that was my grandfather.?
?I can never sing this song, like on stage in front of people. I could barely get through it in the studio,? she added.

Every dollar earned from the line will be directly invested back into the Millennium Promise charity in hopes to slash world poverty in half by 2015.

Enjoying a day of pampering, Emma Roberts was spotted leaving a local nail salon in West Hollywood, California on Thursday (April 26).
Showing off her fresh bright red mani, the "Ice Princess" star smiled big as she sported a pair of sunnies, light brown sheer top that revealed her black bra that she paired skinny jeans, sandals and a key chain necklace.
Later in the afternoon Emma swapped her plain skinny jeans for polka dot pants after stopping by the Fred Segal store in LA.
The 21-year-old took to twitter to remind her fans to enter in the "Pretty Amazing Cover" contest, which she's judging, ?Only few days left for shot at $20,000 scholarship from Neutrogena & being on @seventeenmag?s cover! #PrettyAmazing? Emma tweeted.
The contest wraps up on April 30th and as Emma said, the winner will not only get a massive scholarship but will land on a cover of Seventeen magazine, just like last year?s winner Zoe Demecela!

Here are some photos of Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman at the Edinburgh photocall for The Railway Man, which will kick off filming in Scotland on April 30. Oddly enough, the stars of the movie have been sent out to do some press ahead of filming, and it sounds kind of assbackwards, but I can deal with that if it means seeing some new photos of Colin Firth looking quite shaggable in jeans. The film is a wartime drama; as such, its subject matter sounds incredibly heavy and involves Firth’s character, who is a victim of the Death Railway of WWII and sets out to find those who tortured him. Here’s some information on the movie from the press conference:
[T]he movie’s still gearing up, which Firth alluded to in typically articulate fashion when asked about his approach to the role. “I haven’t started it yet, so I don?t know how I’m approaching it,” he explained. “What you usually do is watch the film when it’s made and then you can tell the press conference that you intended it that way.”
For those unaware, The Railway Man is a true story adapted from Eric Lomax’s best-selling book. According to the official blurb, “Eric Lomax (Firth) was one of thousands of Allied prisoners of war forced to work on the construction of the Thai/Burma railway during World War II. Years later, still haunted by memories of brutality and torture, he met a beautiful woman on a train. Patti (Kidman) was determined to rid Eric of his demons. With the help of a wartime colleague, she set up a mission back to the Bridge on the River Kwai where Eric would confront his tormentor, Nagase (Hiroyuki Sanada, who was absent).”
Describing it as a story about mental trauma following the atrocities of war, Firth went on to describe the character he?ll be playing as someone who is “searching for a way home.” Firth described the real Lomax and Patti as “incredibly engaging” and said that the 92-year-old former is “far more agile than I am.”
Interesting, Kidman’s Patti will be more of a focus in the film than the book, and Kidman claimed that she was still “polishing” her English accent. Irvine plays the young Colin Firth, and laughed “You find yourself looking in the mirror going ‘Am I quite up to that?’” (Firth retorted, “Nobody remembers what Colin Firth looks like!”).

Uh, I have to respectfully disagree with Colin there because everybody remembers what Colin Firth looks like. Still, it’s nice that he’s still got his humility intact even after winning his Best Actor Oscar. Now let’s look at these photos a bit closer, shall we? These two have got the black sweater/vaguely distressed jeans look down to a science. They’re so preppy and matchy-matchy! Colin looks very distinguished with his bit of grey because, you know, men can get away with that. Obviously, Nicole’s been hitting the Botox again and looks a wee bit shiny but not entirely immobile. I love her pincurls though.
Both Nicole and Colin kept alternately looking down at something while the cameras snapped away. Was it because of something in Colin’s pants? That’s my theory.

If I happen to agree with Gwyneth Paltrow on an important topic, can I still find her insufferable? More importantly, can Gwyneth Paltrow, with her history of being insufferable and judgy, really expect me to buy her argument that mothers are simply too judgy of other mothers? This is my dilemma today. Us Weekly has some transcribed excerpts of Gwyneth?s new interview on Lifetime?s new show, The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet. Sidenote: Amanda de Cadenet is an English rock-star-wife and ?personality? – you can read her Wiki here. Anyway, Goop is the first guest on this new show, and they ended up talking about postpartum depression and how judgment-laden mothers are of other mothers. It?s the new ?trend? in parenting: judging other people?s parenting skills, whether it?s breastfeeding or diet or even how you style a child?s hair. Do I hate the ?mothers judging mothers? thing? Yep. Do I think Gwyneth is absolutely full of it because she will judge you and anyone else with one upturned nose? Yep.
Shortly after giving birth to her son Moses in April 2006, Gwyneth Paltrow suffered from postpartum depression.
“I couldn’t connect with my son the way that I had with my daughter [Apple, now 7] and I couldn’t understand why,” she said on Thursday’s premiere episode of Lifetime’s The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet. “I couldn’t connect to anyone. I felt like a zombie. I felt very detached.”
Paltrow, 39, continued: “I just didn’t know what was wrong with me. I couldn’t figure it out. It never occurred to me. My husband [Chris Martin, 35] actually said, ‘Something’s wrong. I think you have postnatal depression.’ I was mortified. ‘No I don’t!’ And then I started researching what it was and the symptoms and I was like, ‘Oh, yes I do.’”
Paltrow isn’t alone. Brooke Shields, Courteney Cox, Bryce Dallas Howard and Amanda Peet are just a handful of celebrities who’ve experienced similar symptoms, and as many as one in five women in the United States will suffer from postpartum depression.
“We think that it makes us bad mothers or we didn’t do it right, but it’s like, we’re all in this together,” Paltrow said. “I never understand why mothers judge other mothers, like, ‘What do you mean you didn’t breastfeed? What do you mean you didn’t do this?’ It’s like, ‘Can’t we all just be on each other’s side?’ It’s so hard anyway. Can’t we all help each other get through it? There’s a shame attached to it because if you say, ‘I had a baby and I couldn’t connect to the baby,’ it’s like, ‘What is wrong with you?’”
Though the Country Strong actress believes “you never totally get rid of it,” being open about her struggle with postpartum depression made it easier to cope.
“That’s why I talk about it, because even the awareness of it started to diminish it,” Paltrow explained. “Because I didn’t feel like I’m dying or I’m crazy — period. It’s like, ‘Oh, this is a thing. This is a real thing and these are the symptoms and I have them all.’”

I?m partly taking Gwyneth as face value – I think she means what she says about not wanting to judge or be judged about mothering choices. She means it in the moment, and that moment is right. But when she returns to her normal Goopy self, she will continue to judge you for feeding your children anything but organic food. She will judge you for not doing three postpartum juice-cleanses. She will judge you for not working out after you had the baby. What Goop is really saying that is that YOU shouldn?t judge HER.

These are some new photos of George Clooney and Stacy Keibler last night in LA. They went out to dinner with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. So, what can we determine from these pics? Stacy gets along with George?s BFFs, Cindy and Rande. Stacy and George are still together. George is enough of a gentleman to open Stacy?s car door for her. And Stacy and George still make eye contact, which is a good sign. It?s always a bad sign when George can?t even force himself to make eye contact with one of his pieces. Still, I swear Stacy looks a little bit nervous and scared. Like, ?Will this be the night he tells me to pack my bags? Is this the night where he orders a car service for me and I ask why and he says, ?Baby, you know why??? Poor Stacy.
George and Stacy are due at the White House Correspondents Dinner this weekend, although their invitations are probably a bit tarnished now that every crackhead and famewhore is coming. Of course, what does Stacy care? She doesn?t. While George and the men talk politics, Stacy will be staring off into space, thinking about puppies and butterflies.
As I mentioned in today?s Brangelina post, Star Magazine has a funny fake story about Brad calling up George after he proposed to Angelina, and Brad?s enthusiasm was contagious. So, obviously, George has decided to go twinsies with Brad and George is going to propose to Stacy! The whole piece isn?t worth transcribing, but there are a few highlights I wanted to mention. Apparently, George loves that ?Stacy?s like one of the guys and puts no pressure on him.? So George has decided to propose and he?s already planning yet another ?double wedding? with Brangelina. Obviously, Angelina isn?t happy about this because she kind of hates Stacy and Angelina refuses to get to know any of George?s pieces-of-the-month. Ridiculous.

She’s also surprisingly still married to that dork Freddie Prinze, Jr. and it even sounds like she still lets him have sex with her because Us reports that Sarah is pregnant with her second child.

This was some terrible timing as Gellar’s character just went through half the season of Ringerpregnant. Now producers either have to hide her behind tables and shoot her from the waist up to hide that parasite growing inside her or somehow make her lose the baby. With her new movie "Bel Ami" set to hit theaters in England on March 9th, Sara Underwood landed herself a feature in the May 2012 issue of Men's Fitness magazine.
The 28-year-old Playmate beauty rocked a range of fabulously skimpy outfits for the spread accompanying the publication's 2012 Shape Sex Survey.
As for the polling, the body part that's focused on the most when it comes to exercise is abs at 36%, with legs in 2nd at 27% and butts taking third with 19% of the votes.
Also revealing the top turn off for ladies when it comes to guys, that happens to be when he constantly checks himself out in the mirror with flirting situated not far behind.

Jennifer Garner made her second post-baby event appearance last night at Cinemacon. When my son was two months old my idea of dressing up was wearing a big button-down dress shirt and some fancy pants, so I have to give her props for putting on her game face and looking so gorg.
The dress is Michael Kors, as The Fashion Patrol points out. (They also note that the dress retails for $1,495, although I doubt Garner paid for it.) It’s a better fit than the last shapeless D&G shift dress she wore, but that’s not saying much. She looks very pretty and like her last outfit, her hair, makeup and accessories are carrying the look.
Those shoes are bothering me, though. From the side they’re cute, but from the front they look like orthopedic sandals! Some nice wedges would look better than these. They’re probably also Michael Kors, as he has a lot of clunky ass heels like this. I’m a shoe person and I believe you can have both fashion-forward elegance and comfort. You can certainly swing a hotter shoe than this on the red carpet for an hour or two and then slip on some flats for the after party. Her other accessories, like her bangles and earrings, strike just the right balance and I like how she matched the belt buckle with her gold jewelry.
In terms of her hair and makeup, she must have a great team. I also think that involves a dermatologist, but I’m not going to elaborate too much on that because I like her a lot. I’m just thinking that those are not her natural lips, you know?
As we mentioned in our last story on Garner, she took home the award for “Female Star of the Year” at Cinemacon. It seems kind of odd as she only had a couple of films out last year, and just one coming up this year. Some of these awards are just symbolic though.

Kristen Stewart is the best dressed woman in the world! According to Glamour UK at least. Kristen topped a list that included many British fashion-girls, which is kind of impressive – Kristen being an American, after all. I was trying to put myself in that frame of mind – if I was 16 years old again, would I want to dress like Kristen? When I was 14-15, I was all about Winona Ryder, so? yeah. Probably. I?m not saying 1995 Winona = 2012 K-Stew. But there are some correlations. And while I?m still not a fan of Kristen?s ?street style,? her red carpet style continues to improve year after year. She?s young, she?s mixing it up, she?s learning. And she just got a Balenciaga contract too!
Anyway, Glamour?s top five was rounded out by (in order): Emma Watson, Victoria Beckham, the Duchess of Cambridge and Florence Welch (of Florence + the Machine). Other Americans on the list included Blake Lively, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba (??), Gaga, Beyonce, Emma Stone, Angelina Jolie (#23) and Jennifer Aniston (#30). It was reported recently that Hollywood stylists are refusing to work with her thanks to her careless off-duty attire and alleged bad attitude. But Kristen Stewart has defied her critics by being crowned the world’s best dressed woman by fashion bible Glamour magazine. The Twilight star, 22, placed ahead of Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and the Duchess of Cambridge as the most stylish of the stars.
While she used to smirk at the thought of couture, Kristen has developed an appreciation for fashion of late, turning up to Paris Fashion Week and dazzling in designs by Balenciaga, Chanel, J Mendel and Roberto Cavalli in the past year. The tomboy actress has also ditched her penchant for wearing trainers on the red carpet, but they remain her day-to-day uniform, paired with jeans and T-shirts.
The magazine praises Kristen for her progression from ‘awkward teen to style queen’ and for always being ‘effortlessly on-trend’. She also topped the best-dressed couple rankings with boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson.
Harry Potter star and Burberry model Emma Watson slipped from top spot in 2011 to second place in Glamour’s top 50. Singer and former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole also dropped from second to eighth in the rankings, but the magazine says the pop star has the ‘fashion factor nailed’. Spice Girl turned fashion designer Beckham has shot-up 12 places to third, with the magazine praising the ‘adorable co-ordinating looks’ she shares with ‘her new favourite accessory’ – baby daughter Harper.
This year’s top 10 is completed by flame-haired singer Florence Welch, My Week With Marilyn star Michelle Williams, Gossip Girl actress Blake Lively, US socialite reality TV star Olivia Palermo, and Rihanna. The top 20 includes supermodel Kate Moss, X Factor judge Kelly Rowland, actress Keira Knightley and Dannii Minogue. Sister Kylie is at 45. Rising style-setter Rosie Huntington-Whiteley placed at number 17, followed by Fearne Cotton and Jennifer Lopez, with Mila Kunis rounding out the top 20.

Who do I think deserves top honors? Eh. Call me a curmudgeon, but nearly every celebrity woman has had some major style blunders lately. It?s not like a decade ago, when Nicole Kidman was so obviously the style leader of the world and you couldn?t wait to see what she would wear next. Charlize Theron is a bit like that, but I feel like she?s been slacking sartorially lately too. You know who I?ve been enjoying so much over the past year? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She might not be the best actress (ha), but that girl can DRESS. She wears a lot of Burberry, naturally.

Go ahead and hate on me, but I actually like her pants. I like the whole outfit, honestly. I wish Kim would dress like this more often. Lindsay Lohan has already been confirmed as a guest of Fox News, and it looks like Fox News is really trying to outdo themselves this year, because they invited Kim too. Is this some kind of political message Fox is trying to send? Because I tend to think that Fox has just given Pres. Obama?s speechwriters a huge gift – the gift of Cracken and Kardashian jokes. Kim also came to the event in 2010… and quite honestly, Lindsay Lohan?s invitation still bugs me much more than Kim?s. Other celebrities who will be in attendance: George Clooney (and Stacy Keibler), Charlize Theron, Viola Davis and Josh Hutcherson.

Charlize has this amazing body, and I swear the cut of this dress makes her hips look weird. Plus, she doesn?t look comfortable in it at all. Charlize received the ?Distinguished Decade of Achievement In Film? Award at CinemaCon. Charlize has had a great decade in film, but that?s kind of lost in such a kiss-ass industry event when everyone knows Charlize just got an ?award? because she has two films opening up in June (both of which I can?t wait for). During her acceptance speech, Charlize joked, ?If I knew that 3D was gonna be such a big deal I would have gotten that boob job ten years ago.? She also said that everything she knows about love she learned from watching Splash and ?Perhaps that is why I am still single.?
Single you say? In other Charlize news, The Enquirer has a recap on the situation with Charlize and Alexander Skarsgard. The Enquirer broke the story in March – something about Charlize and Alex on a ?date? at Gym Sportsbar, ?a gay watering hole in West Hollywood.? Other sites have claimed similar things too – it?s generally established that Charlize and Alex were together at this bar, but some say that they might have been with a group of friends and maybe it wasn?t so much a ?date?. The Enquirer?s sources say this week that Charlize and Alex ?want to keep the romance to themselves for the time being.? Which is just a fancy way of saying that we probably won?t see photos of them together. For a while at least.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are an exceedingly private couple and, therefore, a relative anomaly where Hollywood “in your face” romances are the general rule. Just to find some red carpet photos of the two together, I had to dig way back to the 2007 UK premiere of Hairspray, which was nearly five years ago. So it’s no wonder that people started assuming that Sarah and Freddie were on the rocks when she attended this year’s Golden Globes alone (and despite myself, I still love that tye-dyed blue dress she wore) and without her engagement ring. Since Sarah and Freddie basically ignored the rumors, the tabloids had no choice but to elaborate further with details that Freddie was allegedly tired of Mr. Mom duty and that Sarah was pissed. Well we can officially put those stories to rest now because Sarah and Freddie have announced that they are expecting their second child together!
Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are expanding their family! The Ringer actress is pregnant with her second child, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm. “She and Freddie are thrilled,” a friend of the pair says. “They’re amazing parents.”
The couple met while filming the 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer and began dating three years later. They tied the knot in Mexico on September 1, 2002, and welcomed daughter Charlotte Grace in September 2009.
Gellar, 35, recently told Us that Prinze, 36, had been enjoying his one-on-one time with Charlotte as she filmed the first season of The CW’s Ringer.
“He loves it. We fight over who gets to stay home,” Gellar said of her stay-at-home husband. “You’d think it would be the opposite, that the parents would be like, ‘No, I’ll go to work!’ but he’s like, ‘You stayed home for two years! It’s my turn!’”
“He and Charlotte have too much fun,” Gellar added. “I’m jealous!”
Family comes first for the couple, who both grew up in the spotlight. “They still have date nights all the time and have a normal life,” an insider tells Us. “They both came of age in Hollywood and love working, but their home life is more important to them.”

This is great news for the couple. Charlotte is now a 3-year-old, so she’ll probably be prepared in time to hit “big sister” mode like a champ by the time the new baby is born. I’m glad all those rumors of relationship trouble were just that. If Freddie had a problem being Mr. Mom, there’s virtually no way he’d have any part in creating another little kidlet that would need his doting attention. Besides, I think he loves the Mr. Mom stuff, and it’s nice to see a guy who thoroughly enjoys those duties. Child-rearing isn’t easy, and when a woman finds a guy who enjoys it, he’s definitely a keeper. Congrats to Sarah and Freddie!

Jessica Simpson loves to drink. Always has, always will. I imagine that?s one of the reasons she?s been eating so much during her pregnancy – this is the longest she?s gone without a drink in more than a decade. I can honestly picture Jessica wanting to crack open the Macallan 30 while she?s still in the delivery or recovery room. I tend to believe this just because Jessica seems like the kind of woman who hasn?t thought the whole alcohol thing through – like, it?s going to affect her breast milk. Like, that baby girl is going to be drinking White Russians for the first six months of her life.
Incidentally, you know how everyone was saying that Jessica was going to name her daughter something starting with ?M?. In Touch always said it was ?Maxi? and my guess was ?Margarita?. But now I?m wondering if Jessica isn?t going to name her baby girl Macallan Tequila Johnson. Jessica should name her daughter after her beloved scotch. It’s not the worst name at all.

All glammed up for another big night during the hit Fox series' eleventh season, Jennifer Lopez made her grand arrival to the set of "American Idol" in West Hollywood on Thursday evening (April 26).
The 42-year-old co-judge shined in a shiny, black mini dress and strappy heels as she joined alongside Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson to whittle the field down to the Top 5.
After beginning the show with a cover of "Somebody to Love" by The Queen Extravaganza, the latest episode also saw contestants meet with TMZ staffers to get the lowdown on life as a celebrity.
With season ten contestant Stefano offering up a performance, the most anticipated effort of the night saw a purple-haired Katy Perry take the "Idol" stage in military costume while delving into her hit single "Part Of Me".
As for the singing competition, Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine escaped dismissal as fellow bottom three member Elise Testone ended up being sent home with the thousands of initial hopefuls set at five heading into next week.

I linked to this story in the linkouts but felt that more people needed to see how Lindsay Lohan hasn’t changed at all. A few days ago Glee’sChris Colfer sort of raved toCelebuzzabout Lindsay’s guest appearance on Glee. Everything seemed to be going great. That is until today.
Reports are surfacing that Lindsay was three hours late for her second day on the Gleeset after a night of partying. She was so late production had to send a car to the Chateau Marmont to pick her up and bring her there. Currently, there is no other job in the world that would send a car to your house to pick you up if you were late for work so in a way they’re simply enabling Lindsay.
“Lindsay was a total nightmare yesterday,” says one (clearly less than thrilled) source on the Glee set. “She was three hours late in the morning, and when she did finally arrive, she just didn’t want to be there. She did not want to work. She had not memorized her lines, and she kept disappearing so no one could find her.” E!
Lindsay has even earned the nickname “That Girl” which has resulted in a few staffers becoming “less than thrilled” by how she’s acting. “She has rubbed them all up the wrong way by being so disrespectful of everyone else’s schedule.” Granted, this should have been expected when they were told Lindsay was making a guest appearance. Even so, Lindsay isn’t even playing a character on the show. She’s playing herself. The least she could do was memorize a few lines. I bet it wasn’t even a line. I bet they just told her to say “yes” and she spent the next 15 minutes saying “no” because “she didn’t feel the energy,” all the while the crew had to remind her this was Gleewhich isn’t a reality show like American Idol.
Of course, Lindsay’s ever optimistic rep Steve Honig denies the story saying her tardiness wastheresult of a “misunderstanding about her call time.”
“The production team came to us and said that they wanted to start [with Lindsay] right after lunch, which was at 2. They wanted to begin with Lindsay at 3, so that meant she had a lot of time where she wasn’t doing anything. That’s why people didn’t see her. She was then in hair and makeup and began after lunch at 3.”
“If there was a problem yesterday, I would have just said ‘no comment,’ however I can’t ignore this because this is utter B.S. This is a classic example of people trying to bash Lindsay. She busted her ass yesterday and is back on set again today.”
Simply put, if you ever get tired of making excuses for yourself, just hire Lindsay’s rep. He’s already got a list of about 200 for you to use.

Looking as if she's all healed up following her blender incident, Miley Cyrus paid a visit to a local Burbank, CA hospital for a doctor's appointment on Thursday (April 26).
Accompanied by her mother, Tish, the former "Hannah Montana" star strolled inside the medical center while preparing to have stitches removed from her hand.
Just prior to the stitch removal procedure, Miss Cyrus offered up a tweet referring to the day's experience, as she wrote, "scars remind us of where we've been. not where we're going."
With the accident having occurred late last month, Miley posted a message about her injury moments after cutting herself up, tweeting, "I'm all stitched up & have on a splint so I'm good. As you can tell by my expression, didn't feel so good... Curse u blender!"
Cyrus' rep later explained just what happened stating, "She cut her finger while cooking. Had to get a few stitches. She's doing fine."
