Reporting for another day of duty, Kate Upton made her way out of her New York City hotel this morning (July 12).
The buxom blonde stunner headed over to the set of her new movie ?The Other Woman,? and looked cute and casual in a black top with grey trousers.
Kate is making the transition from modeling to acting, and in a recent interview she shared that while she may have a ton of critics, they haven?t dampened her self-image.
"The thing that they're rejecting I can't change. I can't change my bra size. They're natural. I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can't change some things. I really just live my life."
"I love my body. It's what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great."

Taking care of her motherly responsibilities, Heidi Klum escorted her adorable children to their school in New York City on Friday morning (July 12).

By now, we’re all quite aware that The Lone Ranger did not take last holiday weekend’s box office by storm, but I’ve sort of been ignoring this news because it seems unnecessary to drag Disney’s latest over-budgeted monstrosity through the mud. And it’s not necessarily Johnny Depp’s fault that this film was a failure … even though I suspect that audiences are getting really tired of seeing him in makeup. I think Johnny could actually use a vacation from Hollywood. Just a year, you know? He should take some time off and come back strong. Make some indies and stop obsessing over the “stupid money“ because he already has plenty, and Hollywood will always want him if he stays fresh. Right now though, he’s just coming off the financial failures of Dark Shadows, The Rum Diary, and this Lone Ranger debacle, and that will take some recovery time.
I actually do feel badly for Johnny at the moment because he seemed very focused upon using his version of Tonto as a “small contribution to righting the wrongs” in regard to the Comanche tribe and the Indian as a whole. He took care to visit the Comanche headquarters in Lawton not once but twice while promoting this latest film. Now here’s a bit of a sobering interview with (of all places) the Mail, which buried the lede of course. This portion of the interview discusses Johnny’s desire to make (for lack of a better word) reparations towards the Sioux tribe for what happened at Wounded Knee. Johnny doesn’t understand why the government won’t give this land back, but he says he’s fully prepared to put down the cash for the land himself and give it back to the Sioux:
“What they teach you, certainly in American schools, is mostly a lie. Look at Andrew Jackson, who is celebrated as one of the great soldiers and presidents.
“His face is on the $20 bill, and that p-ssed me off because he was a cold-blooded, killing machine who murdered countless Indians. Abraham Lincoln?s face is on the penny, the smallest denomination of money you can have in the States.
“So the Great Emancipator was put on the least amount of money and Andrew Jackson?s face is on the $20 bill. What does that say?
“History is in the hands of those who get to write the books, as they say. And until you grow up and read about the true facts that’s the stuff they teach you in school.”
Such is Depp?s commitment to the Native American cause, he is planning to spend millions of his own money to return land, Wounded Knee, in South Dakota, to their ownership.
The site, the scene of an 1890 massacre, is up for sale for $3.9?million. Local Native Americans say they cannot afford to buy it. Depp is outraged.
“It’s very sacred ground and many atrocities were committed against the Sioux there. And in the 1970s there was a stand-off between the Feds (Federal government) and the people who should own that land. This historical land is so important to the Sioux culture and all I want to do is buy it and give it back. Why doesn’t the government do that?”
Is he really prepared to pay for the land?
“I am doing my best to make that happen. It’s land they were pushed on to and then they were massacred there. It really saddens me.”

Sigh. And just like that, I’m loving Johnny again. I hope he’s really going to do follow through on his word and perform this good deed for the Sioux. There’s nothing quite like a “feel good Friday” story.

Oh, this is so delicious it MUST be fattening. It seems that our new favorite couple is already OVER. Can you believe that? Just as I was looking forward to a summer romance stretching into a fall engagement with lots and lots of awkward, dorky, coffee-heavy photo-ops, all hopes are dashed. Henry Cavill and Kaley Cuoco are OVER!! It?s legit too, both E! News and People Magazine are reporting this mess:
Cue the big breakup theories. Kaley Cuoco and Henry Cavill have split up, a source confirms exclusively to E! News.
The attractive pair had only been outed as a couple barely two weeks ago, prompting a flurry of speculation as to just how long the Man of Steel star had been romancing the actress.
Meanwhile, we’re hearing that Cavill and Cuoco remain friends after a few dates together?almost all of which seem to have been captured by paparazzi!
Barely 48 hours after their venture into romantic territory came to light on July 1, they were spotted hiking and then, possibly later that day, holding hands outside a Los Angeles-area supermarket.
Cavill split up with Haywire star Gina Carano earlier this year, while Cuoco briefly dated Pepper bassist Bret Bollinger after ending her engagement to Josh Resnik. She also revealed back in 2010 that she dated The Big Bang Theory costar and off-and-on onscreen boyfriend Johnny Galecki for two years.
“It was a wonderful relationship but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together,” Cuoco recalled.

People Mag has a source that confirms the split but ?no reason was given.? The source also says that Henry and Kaley were only at the ?beginning stages? of being a couple. I don?t really think their relationship was only two weeks old, though. In the flurry of reporting last week, sources claimed that they had met in May and that?s when they started seeing each other. Of course, the sources also made it sound like they were really into each other and the whole thing was definitely not a fauxmance.
I don?t really have any theories about this mess. I didn?t get them as a couple, and I don?t understand why they pulled the plug on everything so quickly. My guess is that maybe Henry realized that the ridiculousness of the whole ?look we?re hiking together, look we?re going to the grocery store!? thing would hurt his career?

Quick scenario: you’re single, employed, work hard to manage your money, and recently met a great guy you can relate to and have mindblowing sex with. A few weeks into the relationship, you discover he’s unemployed, massively in debt and recently declared bankruptcy. Do you: 1) Dump him for being dishonest and not being able to manage his money 2) Listen to his explanation for his debt, (i.e. failed business venture) and proceed cautiously or 3) Try to forget about it and see where things go with him. After all, he’s an awesome catch and guys like him don’t come around often.
Personally, I would do number 2) (ha! sorry) and not dump him right away, but I would look at the guy differently from then on and the relationship would probably end anyway. This sort-of happened to me, on a different level, with a guy I was dating post-college. I found out he had hidden the fact that he was deep in credit card debt (not just a little, like defaulting on several cards and being pursued by creditors) and had fibbed about some other things. After that, I just couldn’t see him the same. It seemed so dishonest. There’s a difference between making mistakes and owning up to them, and trying to hide a big secret from your potential partner.
All of this is preface to the fact that Eva Longoria, a massively wealthy woman, is now dating a guy she met on the failed dating show she hosted, “Ready for Love.” (On NBC, natch.) Eva’s new beau, Ernesto Arguello, recently declared bankruptcy, is $4 million in debt, and was living on handouts from his family before he met Eva, 38. He’s 34 years old.
According to court documents obtained exclusively by The Enquirer, Ernesto filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2012, listing $1,555 in assets and a whopping $4.1 million in total liabilities. At the time, he claimed he had just $5 cash on hand.
He listed more than $60,000 in outstanding student loan debt.
The bankruptcy petition revealed that he was on the hook for a whopping $4 million because he listed himself as a guarantor on a business debt from 2007.
Even worse, the court papers said handsome Ernesto was unemployed at the time of the filing, getting by on $2,000 a month he received from his family. With nearly $1,980 going toward monthly expenses, that left him about $20 pocket cash.
By comparison, Eva is worth an estimated $35 million.
Ernesto has been associated with at least 10 businesses in the last six years. His latest venture, Education Model Towns, LLC, was established in March 2013.

They don’t really vet the people they put on those dating shows, do they? I’m like Anthony Mackie. If someone is deep in debt and doesn’t seem to value their credit, that’s nearly a dealbreaker for me. It might not be for Eva Longoria though. She’s loaded beyond belief and can more than afford to bankroll her new man. Maybe that keeps him closer too, you know? It’s not like he’s going to run off with another woman when he’s got a sweet sugar mama like that. At least that’s the plan. Ask LeAnn Rimes how that’s working for her.
I’m not disparaging wealth differences between partners by any means. In my mind there’s a big difference between a relationship like Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson, where one of the partners was still financially responsible but just made less money. When one of the partners is seeking some kind of lifestyle upgrade after not being able to manage their own money, that’s a red flag.
Oh and Eva recently went to Paris with Ernesto, which is where she just happened to marry her ex husband, Tony Parker, on 7-7-07. She tweeted the photo below on July 7th, what would have been her anniversary. Tony may be engaged now, to his girlfriend of two years, journalist Axelle Francine.
She posted this photo to Instagram on 7-5-13 with the caption “@ernestoarguello and I had so much fun with the old gang last night in Austin!” Quite the whirlwind romance.

Yesterday, we discussed the news that Leah Remini has pretty much abandoned the Church of Scientology after belonging to the organization for decades. Leah wasn?t, like, a Tom Cruise-level Scientologist, but she was a noted Scientologist who was close to people like Tom, John Travolta, and Jennifer Lopez too (maybe, kind of). In yesterday?s Page Six story, sources claimed Leah had left CoS after five years of ?modification? after asking an innocent question about the whereabouts of Shelly Miscavige. Leah was allegedly ?blacklisted? by CoS after she openly questioned Miscavige?s methods, especially the ?CoS excommunication? policies. This line came at the end of the Page Six story: ?A Scientology rep denied all allegations.? But Leah is doubling-down (good girl) and issuing her own statement:
Leah Remini has broken her silence after deciding to leave the Church of Scientology.
“I wish to share my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming positive response I have received from the media, my colleagues, and from fans around the world. I am truly grateful and thankful for all your support,” she says in a statement to PEOPLE.
For years, the King of Queens star, 43, was one of the best-known members of the Church of Scientology.
In 2007, Remini laughed off reports that she had tried to convert Jennifer Lopez, one of her closest friends, to Scientology. “Two girls can’t hang out together?” she told PEOPLE. “What does that have to do with religion?”

See, that?s interesting. Leah issues an exclusive statement to People Mag and now we can all say, ?Oh, I guess that Page Six story was right on the money, she really has left CoS.? And so now we can really believe this story in this morning?s Page Six:
?King of Queens? star Leah Remini threatened to call police, sources said, after ?her many unanswered questions? about the whereabouts of Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige?s wife, Shelly, which led to the actress being interrogated for years.
Page Six reported yesterday that Remini is making a dramatic break from the church after she began to also question practices including forcing its followers to ?disconnect? from family members branded as ?suppressive persons? [SPs] and the treatment of its Sea Org members.
?When you ask a question, like, ?Where is Shelly?,? you are immediately hauled in, interrogated and asked, ?Why are you asking, who are you connected to, are you going on the Internet?? ? said a source.
The source added that in such sessions, ?[You are then] shown pictures of the buildings that the church built, told that the ?SPs? are trying to get you because the church is winning, and that when you go on all these ?SP? sites, you are literally cutting across man?s ability to go free. You are, in fact, killing mankind.?
The source continued, ?Because Leah threatened to call the police to find Shelly, she was put through ?Security Checking,? her family was put through it, and her friends.?
Scientology blogger Tony Ortega wrote earlier this week: ?Shelly has not been seen [in public] since 2006, except for one sighting when she was allowed to attend the funeral of her father… Remini dared to ask about it ? and loudly.?
A source told Page Six that as a result of her questions, the former co-host of CBS? ?The Talk,? ?was put through ?thought modification? for five years,? but, ?When they tried this with her again earlier this year, she said, ?Enough.? ?
A Scientology rep had denied all allegations in our previous story, and did not immediately return a request for comment.

Seriously, though: WHERE IS SHELLY?!!?!?!!? For the love of God. The fact that it takes Leah Remini going to war with these people for the Church of Scientology to get this kind of coverage should tell you something. Leah is not an incredibly powerful celebrity by any means, but the fact that this C-list actress/TV host is willing to put herself out there and go to war should tell you that David Miscavige?s leadership of CoS is a house of cards. They are not all-powerful. They are just a really corrupt, insane cult.

The House of Dior is going through some changes. Last year, Jennifer Lawrence got a Dior contract, which reportedly angered the other Dior ?faces? like Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Charlize Theron. Out of that group, I think I associate Charlize most with Dior ? her J?Adore commercials are always on, and whenever I see her long-legged power-strut, I think ?Dior Lady?. But is that close association coming to a close? You might be eager to throw shade at this Enquirer story, but just FYI: Star Magazine (with the same corporate owner as the Enquirer) was totally right about Jennifer Lawrence, and they actually broke the news of J-Law?s contract. So, someone at the tabloid media empire might actually have the inside scoop at Dior:
Charlize Theron fears she?ll lose her fat Dior deal if rival Scarlett Johansson continues her love affair with all things French. Sources say reps for the fashion giant have told Charlize ? who reportedly banks $5 million a year as the face of Dior?s J?Adore ? that she ?needs to be more French.?
Meanwhile, Scarlett is fast becoming the A-list darling of Paris thanks to her French Vanity Fair cover and romance with Frenchman Romain Dauriac, a former art journalist.
?Scarlett adores Paris and has spent months there with Romain,? a source told The Enquirer. ?Besides that, the French have really responded to her photos in Vanity Fair, especially one shot that?s reminiscent of Brigitte Bardot.?
That?s got LA-based Charlize on edge, said the source. ?Charlize has done really well for Dior, but the company has to stay fresh? they?re worried that Charlize comes across as too aloof and are looking at Scarlett as a possible replacement.?
So Charlize is now scrambling to keep the lucrative gig.
?She?s taking French lessons twice a week and listens to French tapes in the car to become more fluent. She also dines with Dior executives regularly to brainstorm ideas about how she can be more appealing to their French customer base. But Charlize feels that no matter what she does, Scarlett is a real threat. She knows that if she wants to keep her Dior deal, she has to up her game.?

I think the idea that Charlize isn?t ?French enough? to represent Dior is dumb ? this is the company that just hired Jennifer Lawrence, for the love of God, and she isn?t ?French? in the least. I think it?s far more likely that people at Dior think Charlize is too OLD to be the face of Dior. Like, she?s not relevant enough to their target demographic, and they?re looking to ?skew younger? and that?s why they?re thinking about switching to ScarJo. But just FYI to the Dior people: Scarlett is an absolutely terrible model. Her ad campaigns ? which are numerous because she would be the ?face? of just about anything ? are almost always dead-eyed, open-mouthed and derivative of some other Hollywood bombshell.
Something else to consider: Dior probably wants to hire younger faces to go along with their new hire, Robert Pattinson. Rob is the face of Dior Homme now.

Amanda Seyfried covers the August issue of Elle, and as always, she is ethereally beautiful as well as pale and interesting. Amanda is promoting Lovelace, which comes out stateside on August 9 in limited release; have you watched the trailer yet? The movie doesn’t look that great even if there’s a ton of talent — including Peter Sarsgaard, Adam Brody, West Bentley, Chloe Sevigny, and Chris Noth — involved. Oh and naturally, James Franco (who is all about classifying pr0n as “art”) is playing Hugh Hefner.
In this shoot, Amanda looks absolutely gorgeous, and the styling is lovely with the exception of the heart-print knickers shown in the below photo. The excerpts are rather revealing too. She talks about how her vagina always immediately knows what it wants, and she admits that she’ll always hold a torch for her ex-douche, Dominic Cooper. Plus some other stuff too:
On playing Linda Lovelace: “I read the script and I was like, ‘Wow, this is the riskiest thing that?s happening [in Hollywood] right now.’ The first thing you think about is that it could have ruined my career. At the same time, I was like, ‘This is my chance to show them, to show the industry, to be recognized.’”

What I find interesting is that Amanda says that her vagina always knows immediately who she wants to sleep with, but she’s claimed in the past that she waits forever before sleeping with most guys because she’s terrified of being promiscuous. Of course, it’s totally possible for one to balance both of those things, but it’s just funny that Amanda is talking in terms of her vagina wanting what it wants. Like it’s an animal that needs to be trained or something. And I mean that in the best way possible, if there is one.

I imagine that at one point, Ryan wrote a poem with that title and it was about you, girl, and how you put his heart in a tiny cage and how he knows why the caged bird sings. For you, girl. In all honesty, this is a sweet/nice thing to do, and he actually is trying to do something to protect the pigs. Here?s Ryan?s column:
I take my beloved dog George with me almost everywhere I go. Once, George even shared the stage with me on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
The bond I have with George is not unique. Like me, countless Canadians share their homes and lives with pets they consider to be part of the family. We know that they have individual personalities and quirks (George loves apples, for example) and that they feel both physical and mental pain.
Our pets share these traits with other animals; including those we don?t share our lives with, such as farm animals. As primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall has noted, ?Farm animals feel pleasure and sadness, excitement and resentment, depression, fear and pain. They are far more aware and intelligent than we ever imagined ? they are individuals in their own right.?
Pigs, specifically, outperform even chimpanzees on some tests of cognitive prowess. So of course these animals also deserve our care and attention. That?s why I was so heartened to learn that Canada is taking steps toward improving the treatment of animals in the food supply.
Specifically, Canada?s National Farm Animal Care Council, which sets regulations for Canada?s agricultural system when it comes to how animals are treated, recently released a draft code of practice for the pork industry to follow. Within this draft code is a mandate that the pork industry stop relegating, for nearly their entire lives, mother pigs to tiny cages so small they can?t even turn around.
Currently, mother pigs are kept in these cages called ?gestation crates? for four months while pregnant, moved to another cage to give birth, reimpregnated and put back into a gestation crate for the cycle to repeat. It adds up to years of immobilization and millions of smart, inquisitive animals relegated to iron maidens.
The process has been criticized by veterinarians, animal protection advocates, consumers and even major food retailers as inhumane and unnecessary. Tim Hortons, for example, announced recently that it is working ? alongside 60 other major food companies ? to eliminate these cages from their supply chain entirely.
While NFACC?s progress is important and laudable, there is a major loophole in the code that I hope will be closed. As written, the draft still allows the pork industry to lock pigs in gestation crates for up to five weeks at a time. Over a pig?s short life, which is just four years long, this amounts to about nine months of solitary confinement in a cage so small she can?t even turn her own body around.
Pigs in tiny crates suffer beyond anything most of us can easily imagine. They are unable even to turn around for weeks at a time, so that their muscles and bones deteriorate. And these extremely social and intelligent animals lose their minds from being denied any social or psychological stimulation at all.
I applaud NFACC for working to improve life for Canada?s pigs, and I join Farm Sanctuary and Humane Society International in asking that it close this dangerous loophole by prohibiting the pork industry from confining pigs for weeks at a time ? something I would never dream of doing to George, and that no compassionate Canadian would ever do to any animal.

Ugh, so sad. You know I?ve always wanted a pig, right? They are really smart animals, and they?re incredibly cute (to me, at least). I?ve been known to spend hours on the computer, looking at photos of ?teacup piglets? and such. I even think my dog looks sort of like a pig too. Anyway, I like that Ryan?s essay has a real mission and it?s not just some ?woe are the pigs, we should all feel terrible? guilt trip. His mission is to end the loophole which allows pregnant pigs to be crated. Good for him. I hope it makes a difference. I hope the Canadian Hey Girls support his mission.

Speaking of the paradise island, it seems as if Miss Tisdale recently spent some time relaxing there and soaking up the sun.
