Courteney Cox has admitted in the past to “trying” Botox, but if you’ve seen her recently, it’s obvious that she’s gone a lot further than that. You can’t tell so much from the most recent still photos of Courteney we have, but in a new interview on Ellen I was so surprised to see only her lower lip move. (That video is here.) She’s done a lot to her face, and it’s obvious. Well, the good news is that she’s not denying it. In a cover interview with New You Magazine, Courtney cops to laser treatment on her face and skin, and says she’s “game for anything,” and “very open to trying to prolong the inevitable.” She also admits she’s afraid of aging. Well, at least she’s being somewhat honest. I feel sorry for her more than anything else.
On laser treatments
“You know what, I’m game for anything. I’m very open to trying to prolong the inevitable,” the single star admits. “I’m a big laser believer — I really think they are the wave of the future. I just did Ulthera, which is supposed to produce collagen, and I’m about to do Fraxel, which will get rid of all these brown spots off my arms, chest and face.”
On drinking a ton of water
“I’m on this kick where I’m gonna try to drink 64 ounces a day. It’s so hard,” the actress says. “I can get the first 32 down, no problem. That second bottle is tough but when I do, I feel different.”
On turning 50
“That’s gonna be brutal,” she tells the magazine. “I’m not that interested in that! That sounds different. It feels different. I think it’s hard, the fact that there’s a certain age that we can’t have kids anymore. My doctor told me today that he just delivered a baby and the woman was 48. It’s like, that’s awesome, but it’s rare. It’s a miracle, you know?”
“My biggest fear is that it catches up to you so quickly, it?s almost like you wake up and you?ve changed. You can be rocking along in your life and then it just happens.”
On beauty
“Beauty has always been a big part of my childhood and my life. My mother is a very beautiful woman — she wasn’t a career woman, she’s a mother of four — and looks were really important to her. She’s always been into vitamins and creams and she’s never had any plastic surgery. She’s just aged beautifully and naturally,” Cox tells New You. “My dad was into looks as well, so I grew up with a family that cared a lot about that. It’s a little hard because you think Hollywood is tough — well, it was pretty tough in my own family!”
Though she takes pride in her appearance, the Alabama native insists she feels most beautiful when she’s au naturale. “I feel the best after I’ve worked out, when I have no make-up on and my skin is flushed.”

I don’t think Courteney has only done laser skin resurfacing. I think she’s had fillers in her lips and in her cheeks and that’s why she’s looking so plastic lately, but you know, she’s telling us where it’s coming from. She’s saying that she’s afraid of getting older and seeing that face in the mirror, and that’s why she’s creating a new face for herself. Personally, I would be more afraid of looking like a Real Housewife and like a different person than I would be to see some wrinkles. The wrinkles do suck, though, I’ll admit it. I’m just so scared to do something about it and wonder who is looking back at me in the mirror. I’d rather see “old” me than “different forever,” no takebacks.

Fulfilling some promotional duties, the judging panel of ?American Idol? showed up at FOX?s 2013 Winter TCA Tour in Pasadena, California last night (January 8).
The Langham Hotel was a little hotter thanks to the presence of Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson, and Keith Urban as they fielded questions during a press conference.
Regarding her rumored feud with Minaj, Mariah explained, ?Time heals all wounds. Nicki added, ?We?re professionals. Have you ever had an argument with someone you work with??
Carey added, ?It is what it is. ['Idol' is] bigger than all that ... bigger than some stupid, trumped-up thing."
?American Idol? kicks off the new season on January 16th.

The new season of American Idol, with a new panel of judges (except Randy, dawg is still there!) comes out next week. As part of the ramp-up to that, we have to endure interviews with Mariah Carey discussing her feud with Nicki Minaj. It sounds like things are far from settled between these two, given what Mariah told ET Online and Barbara Walters recently. First, to recap, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj had an argument during their first week together on the judging panel, back in October. There was video (now unavailable) of Nicki bitching out Mariah for being a diva, basically, while Mariah groaned and tried to ignore her. Some accused American Idol of faking the argument for hype, but it seemed very real. Then Barbara Walters claimed, on The View, that she had spoken to Mariah and that Mariah told her that Nicki issued a half-assed (my words) death threat to Mariah by saying “If I had a gun I would shoot her.” Idol producers denied this took place, and Nicki went off about it on Twitter. Mariah allegedly hired extra security at the time, because she was so threatened by Nicki’s big mouth.
Well in this new ET interview, Mariah confirms that she hired extra security, and she sort-of confirmed her beef with Nicki, without directly addressing it. Mariah basically said that anyone who dares question her gets ignored, which sounds just about right. Mariah also did an interview with Barbara Walters, which aired on Nightline last night. AND there are new interviews with Nicki and Mariah from a press conference for the show. I’m putting those quotes from the different interviews together below, to give a better idea of how these two are handling the feud. Nicki is trying to take the high road in interviews, but she’s still bitching and moaning on Twitter.
Mariah on how she deals with “messy moments” on Idol
“Here’s what I meant by messy moments: You just have to adapt. And I think my thing is I have to be myself, and if that means that in that moment I don’t hear you; I don’t see you; you don’t exist to me at this moment — that’s what it is.” – [ET]
Nicki plays nice
“I actually say nice things about Mariah all the time. She is one who really has shaped a generation of singers. … They aspire to be a Mariah Carey in terms of their talent and career and to be given a chance to sing in front of her.” – [via People]
Mariah on hiring more security
“It felt like an unsafe work environment. Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at somebody, it’s not appropriate. I’ve got two babies, I’m not gonna take any chances. So, yeah, I did hire more security. I just felt it was the appropriate thing to do,” Carey tells Walters. Sitting there on the road with two babies, I’m not going to take any chances.” – [Nightline via Huffpo]

But when it came to talking about where things currently stand on a personal level for the two stars, Carey played a bit coy.
“The whole thing is convoluted,” she said. “It’s a distraction from the show. It’s a distraction to the contestants. It should be about the contestants.”
Carey, who added that “time heals all wounds,” went on to tell Minaj that their dramatic saga “was sort of one-sided” ? a claim Minaj denied on the spot.
But remaining upbeat, Carey replied with, “At least we can agree on my shoes.” – [via People]

Regarding Monroe, Carey says, “I call her Miss Monroe, and that kind of dictated her personality. “She’s a total diva. She’s into jewelry. She’s fascinated by jewelry.”
Moroccan, who goes by the nickname “Roc,” is “more chill.”
“He’s my pal,” Carey says. “He’ll just watch movies with me. We’ve watched ‘Shrek’ I don’t know how many times. We watch movies all the time together, relax.” – [Nightline via Huffpo]

Oh Mariah, she’s never capable of not being a diva and that’s got to annoy Nicki Minaj to no end. They seem to have reached a tentative truce for now though, and I’m sure producers don’t mind how much press their feud continues to get. As far as ratings,o I bet that Idol will do just about as well as it did in the past couple of years. It gets a ton of viewers compared to other shows, but I think its days of astronomical ratings are over.
Also, Mariah recently posed in a bikini in Australia. I think she gave this photo to the press to use, but it’s hard to tell where it originated. She looks great, but I’m just going to come out and say that I think this was photoshopped. I’m sure she looks fab without any digital manipulation, but I see some jagged lines along the left side of her torso. Enlarge the photo below and see what I mean.

The National Board of Review Awards were held last night in NYC. I tend to think of the NBRs as the most prestigious of all of the critics? awards, but that might be a dated idea. It was definitely true a decade ago, but since then, various critics? awards (like the NYFCC and the LA Critics Awards) have vied to become AS important, as much of an Oscar-harbinger as the NBRs. You can see the full list of 2013 NBR winners here. As for Anne Hathaway, she was there because Les Miserables won Best Ensemble. Annie wore Saint Laurent Spring 2013 ? a black tuxedo with flamboyant cuffs. I?m fine with the suit ? I like when younger girls wear suits to these industry events. My problem is with her hair, which seems to be at a self-imposed awkward phase. At this point, I think Annie is only trimming the back and leaving the front too shaggy. It?s the reverse mullet. PS? I dig her black mani & pedi. It?s matchy-matchy, but it?s cute.
Here?s Emily Blunt in Emilio Pucci ? I like this dress on her a lot, and she looks good with John Krasinski. John was probably there because he co-wrote Promised Land, which picked up a ?Freedom of Expression? Award.
Amanda Seyfried (also there for Best Ensemble) in Bottega Veneta. It?s an okay dress, but it kind of washes her out, which is very easy to do considering her coloring. Why doesn?t she stick to darker colors? I don?t get it.
Jessica Chastain won Best Actress for Zero Dark Thirty. She wore Alexander McQueen and she made McQueen looks boring. Ugh, Jessica. Let me style you! I will have you looking like a ginger goddess in no time! You should be aiming for Rita Hayworth, not Duchess Kate.

Jessica Alba covers the February issue of InStyle in head-to-toe Dior. She’s still got the two-toned hair color going on from when she went ombre to reprise her Nancy role in Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For, but I don’t think the movie has even started shooting yet even though Jessica took the overprocessing plunge a few months ago. Of course, I’m getting a little bit carried away here from the point of this story, but casting news is still coming down from this movie, and Joseph Gordon Levitt has just signed on to play a lead role (Jimmy) that was once offered to Johnny Depp. Further, Josh Brolin has been hired to play Dwight, who was played by Clive Owen in the first movie. To be fair, the character has a completely different face in this part of the story. Weird, I know.
At any rate, Jessica is still playing a stripper in this sequel even though she’s sweet-talked Frank Miller into reframing the role as a burlesque dancer, but she won’t be taking anything off for sure. In fact, Jessica tells InStyle that — at no point in her future life — will she dress like a cheap tart. That means no “booty shorts,” but she does give some good lip service to shopping inexpensively at places like Target (where she is shown in this photo while preparing for Christmas). By the way, I kind of love that she shops at Target. Here are some excerpts:
She won’t dress like a tart: “I probably won’t ever wear booty shorts. I feel pretty confident about that. And I don’t like oversize shoulder pads, but I do appreciate a strong shoulder profile, like the ones [designer] Isabel Marant is doing.”
Tailoring is key: “Whether you shop at H&M, Topshop, Target, Forever 21, or buy high-end, if the piece doesn’t fit, it will be halfway there. So get your jackets nipped in at the waist and your pants hemmed at the perfect place. If you get your clothing tailored, you can look like a million bucks.”
Her style has changed: “In the past, I was into my uniform of leggings and a sweater. Now I’m willing to try bold prints, bright colours and different cuts. I feel confident about my ankles and feet – I’m not afraid to show them off with open-toe sandals. But there has to be a strap across the toes to look good.”
On her husband, Cash Warren: “On a weekend Cash might say, ‘Go get your nails done with a girlfriend. Haven is down for a nap and Honor and I will play. I know you work hard. You deserve some time for yourself. That, to me, is romantic. He’s saying, ‘You matter,’ and that I’m more than just the mother of the kids or the wife who goes out to events with him.”

Jessica seems pretty happy with her husband these days, and she’s really talking him up in this interview. I hope for her sake (and that of their two daughters, Honor and Haven) that she’s simply being effusive about her marriage and not, you know, embellishing details as a form of wishful thinking. Damn it, Heidi and Seal have made me cynical about nearly every celebrity couple in existence.

You know what? I?m not going to play the ?Poor, poor Swifty? Card this time. I didn?t play it for her with Conor Kennedy either. You know why? Because I?m pretty sure that with both Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy, it was Taylor Swift who did the dumping. Pre-Conor, here?s how Swifty?s relationships always went: Swifty meets Boy, Swifty falls head over heels for Boy in less than a week, Swifty smothers Boy with affection and cuddlefesting, Boy gets freaked out and dumps Swifty over the phone, Swifty writes songs about it. Believe it or not, I think Swifty is trying to learn from previous mistakes?? Is that giving her too much credit? All I?m saying is that I don?t think she?s the dumped one in her past two relationships. Which is progress, sort of.

Taylor Swift, yet again, has some fresh material for a new breakup song: As rumored, Swift, 22, and One Direction’s Harry Styles have split, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly.
Things went south last week for the couple during a vacation on Virgin Gorda, the third-largest of the British Virgin Islands — with Swift cutting the holiday short and jetting back home to Nashville.
“They had a fight,” one insider tells Us. British crooner Styles, 18, “said something he shouldn’t have . . . This [breakup] is definitely going to be for good.”
“They are 100 percent over,” another insider adds, noting that the “Red” chanteuse could be “intense.”
Swift was first seen flirting with Styles back in mid-November — and was photographed holding hands with the boy bander a couple weeks later. Before ringing in the New Year with a sweet kiss, they went on a ski trip with another volatile young couple: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez .
The Grammy winner’s previous high-profile flames include political scion Conor Kennedy, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner and Joe Jonas.

At last year?s Grammys, Chris Brown not only won an actual award, but he performed on the awards show to widespread applause and acclaim. Most of the musical professionals didn?t seem to have a problem with him or maybe they had just decided to ?forgive? him for beating the hell out of Rihanna three years earlier. Team Breezy (the crazy, deluded girls who think Chris is God-like) began tweeting crazy stuff about his performance, like he was ?so good? that they would let him beat them. Chris Brown defended himself against the minor Grammys backlash in typical Chris Brown style ? with an ALL CAPS Twitter rant laced with obscenities.
Miranda Lambert was one of the few musical professionals in the audience that night who said anything negative about Brown publicly. She tweeted that night: ?He beat on a girl? not cool that we act like that didn?t happen.? Miranda talked about Chris as an ?abuser? in her concerts too, and not surprisingly, she faced a lot of backlash from those Team Breezy idiots. So when she asked about it during her Redbook interview (she covers the February issue), Miranda handled the situation thoughtfully.
Miranda on the Chris Brown tweet: ?I didn?t feel right about not saying something. The loudmouth that I am, I say what I think. I wanted everyone to know that I don?t agree with the message it?s sending to young women. It?s not okay. At all. To be celebrated after doing something like that. I don?t think it?s right, I never will, and I will stand by what I said till the day that I die.?
Her insecurities: ?I?m insecure about tons of things! I cry onstage once a week, singing The House That Built Me, and I always tell the crowd, ?Don?t tell anyone I was cryin?!? Or Over You, when Blake and I had all that loss in our lives. It was really hard to get up there after we had been to three funerals. Being apart from Blake sometimes: ?I love it. This time I hadn?t seen him in 11 days, and he was just so happy when I got here, it was like [she makes an angels-singing voice] ?Ahh, you?re here.? When I go to The Voice set and everyone says, ?Blake?s been talking about you so much,? it just makes me feel special, you know??

The only problem I have with what Miranda said is that I wish she wouldn?t couch her completely reasonable objection to Chris Brown with a self-deprecating remark ? ?The loudmouth that I am, I say what I think.? You don?t have to do that, Miranda. You don?t have to insult yourself before you speak your mind! It?s not a ?loudmouth? move to feel like the celebration of Chris Brown by the music industry is gross and tragic and insulting to women.

Speaking of her newest film, co-star Ryan Gosling recently opened up about reuniting on the big screen with his former "Crazy Stupid Love" cast mate.
"I guess we thought, you know since we had such a great time on Crazy Stupid Love, this will be a blast, but we had to be serious in this movie, which was very hard for us," Gosling told the Tribute, adding, "And you know, once you?ve bit a knucklehead in front of somebody, it?s kind of hard to pretend you?re Humphrey Bogart or somebody.?
"Gangster Squad" is set to hit theaters this Friday (January 11).

Bringing an end to her family getaway, Milla Jovovich showed up at LAX International Airport last night (January 7).
Joined by her husband Paul W.S. Anderson and their daughter Ever, the ?Resident Evil? starlet seemed a bit stressed as she navigated her way past paparazzi and exited the terminal.
Milla and her crew spent the New Year?s holiday in Maui, Hawaii where they took full advantage of the beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery.
And now that she?s back on the mainland, Ms. Jovovich will likely continue work on her new musical project. Last month she tweeted, ?Getting a visit from @chrissbrenner to put down some keys and harmonies.?

Perhaps seeking consolation in a friendly face, Taylor Swift headed to a pal's house in Brentwood, California on Tuesday (January 8).
The country crooner looked cute in a long-sleeved navy striped dress and knee-high stockings as she approached the front gates.
After a brief romance with One Direction's Harry Styles, the 23-year-old singer and her boy band beau have reportedly called it quits.
According to an Us Weekly source, "They had a fight" because Harry "said something he shouldn't have. This [breakup] is definitely going to be for good."
