She?s always a busy beauty and last night (November 10) Keira Knightley had a pair of promotional visits on her itinerary.
The ?Pirates of the Caribbean? cutie headed over to the DGA Theater in Los Angeles for a special screening of her new flick ?The Imitation Game? hosted by Chanel.
From there, Ms. Knightley paid a visit to ?Jimmy Kimmel Live? where she extolled the virtues of staying at the Four Seasons Hotel while in SoCal.
Keira gushed, "You sit round the pool and these people come around with trays and you get like, a frozen grape. Who knew? They're great."
Jimmy asked, "You guys don't have those in England?" to which the ?Begin Again? starlet replied, "No, it's too cold for frozen grapes in England!?

She?s well on her way to becoming a mother for the second time, and Liv Tyler definitely has that pretty pregnancy glow.
The ?Armageddon? actress is featured on the cover of Town & Country magazine?s December/January issue and it sounds like she?s enjoying having a bun in the oven.
Liv gushed, ?The most fun thing about being pregnant again is having those mom hormones flowing around. You?re more present in your body, and it?s making me a better mother for Milo.?
Ms. Tyler also explained what drew her to ?The Leftovers?- ?When I heard the premise, I thought, ?That?s right up my street.? I?m attracted to things that are a little off. Growing up I was a huge fan of The Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks, and Creepshow ? things that don?t provide all the answers. Normally I?d say I?m not a competitive person; I kind of think things happen for a reason. But for the first time in my life I really went for a role.?
Looking back over 2014, Liv shared that she?s in a great place these days. ?I mean, for seven years I?d been saying I wanted to do an HBO show with an ensemble cast. And I wanted a house in the country. And getting to have another child? If you knew me well, they were the things my heart longed for. And they all came together, like a speeding freight train, in one year.?

| Is Taylor Swift making fun of her drama-queen image in the 'Blank Space' video' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Considering I?m not a Swiftaholic, I?ve only heard three singles off of Taylor Swift?s latest album: ?Shake It Off,? ?Out of the Woods? and her current hit single, ?Blank Space.? I put ?Blank Space? in my #2 position, after my favorite ?Out of the Woods? and above ?Shake It Off,? which I really don?t like. I understand why ?Shake It Off? was the first single though ? it?s one of the most radio-friendly songs ever. Anyway, Swifty dropped the music video for ?Blank Space? and WOW, she really spent some money on this video. That was my first reaction. My second was? oh, she?s making fun of herself and how people think she behaves in relationships. Taylor can make fun of herself? but only when there are very narrow parameters and she?s the one controlling the ?joke.? After all, there?s a special place in hell for women who don?t help other women.
Right? They really spent money on this video. Which is nice, because Swifty is a princess and people love to see her play dress-up. As for the ?message? of this video/song? I?m tapped out. If Swifty wants to make fun of her image, go ahead. If she wants to pretend to be the crazy girlfriend, she probably doesn?t have to try too hard. God bless.
Meanwhile, Harry Styles chimed in on the fact that several of the songs on this album are about his brief fling with Swifty. ?Out of the Woods? is definitely about Harry, as is ?Style,? apparently. Harry was nice about it, saying:
“We write from personal experience. I think everyone does. So it would be hypocritical of us to be like, ‘Oh, you can’t write about us.’ She’s really good, so… they’re good songs. So I’m really lucky in that sense.”
[From Us Weekly]
I think this is probably the best way to handle it if you?re a guy and you broke up with Taylor Swift at some point in your life. Just acknowledge that she?s like a gossipy middle-schooler who overanalyzes brief flings like they are the most significant things ever and then just shrug.

| Katherine Heigl on playing nice after trashing employers: 'It felt so dishonest' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
As you know, Katherine Heigl has an arguably well deserved reputation as a royal pain in the ass. At one point she was poised to become the next romcom queen, but several statements she made to the press, along with poor career choices and a reportedly controlling mom/manager, put her career on the downswing. She is now starring in a new political thriller series, State of Affairs, which will premiere on NBC next week. Katherine Heigl was widely criticized by both the mainstream press and industry publications, which did some digging as to her on-set behavior. This wasn’t just the issue of some bloggers nitpicking her very obnoxious public statements. (That’s our job, and we do it well.) Multiple insiders spoke out against Heigl, and there were reports on her diva behavior and career in NY Mag and in The Hollywood Reporter.
In a new interview with E!, Heigl talks about the fallout from that period, and she makes it sound like it was sexism and censoring on the part of the media. She talks about empowering her daughters to speak up for themselves, which I agree with in principle, but she trashed at least two employers publicly. My mom taught me to be firm and speak up for myself, but she’s also told me that you get more flies with honey. There’s a way to state your case without complaining about the people who pay you seven figures to act. This interview with E! shows that Heigl hasn’t changed at all. E!’s Kristen Dos Santos also makes it sound like Heigl is a victim of the media blowing her comments out of proportion. Maybe that happened on some level, but Heigl made her own bed. In fact Dos Santos writes “What happened to the then 29-year-old actress after ‘Shonda-gate’ and ‘Apatow-gate’ was one of the most jarring public lynchings Hollywood has ever seen.” Oh no she did not just use the L word to describe Katherine Heigl’s career. Someone should have edited that sh*t out of there.
Here’s some of Heigl’s interview with E!, and you can read more on E!’s site.
The first time I met you was right when you started Grey’s Anatomy, and I remember being totally floored by how real you were. You didn’t have a filter. You were funny and honest. It’s pretty rare in this town that we get to chat with people who don’t get fed every single line to say. So now, a decade later, given everything you went through, I’m wondering, how has that changed? Do you feel like you need to be a lot more careful about what you say? Can you still speak your mind?
Back when all that happened, I was a little nave. I didn’t know. At the time, social media and all of that wasn’t what it is now. I didn’t realize the impact that this comment or that comment would have or that it would catch like wildfire. But it did. It spread and it turned into something a lot uglier than I ever intended. Obviously I’m more aware of that now. If I’m going to voice my opinion and I’m going to speak my mind, I better be very clear about what my intentions are when I say it. It should never be flippant or carelessly tossed out there. I’m still going to have opinions and some of them people are going to agree with, and some they won’t. But that’s life and that’s every single person on this planet.
I spent time trying to be more of a publicity packaged thing, and I just couldn’t. I couldn’t sleep at night. It kept me up. It felt so dishonest to me and it felt like such a cop out, like me saying that I am inherently wrong about how I feel about things or I am inherently wrong if I have something to say. I don’t like that for my daughters. I don’t like that for my girlfriends. I don’t like that for any woman in this world to be made to feel like that. You voice, your opinion and you are made to feel like if someone disagrees with you, that now you’re a bad person?
Above all else, you have to be able to respect yourself.
Yes. At the end of the day, call me any name you want but I’m going to continue to stand up for myself and I’m going to continue to be heard and voice what I feel and not be bullied into being a doormat, just so you’ll call me a sweetheart. I don’t want to teach my kids that. And I know certainly some remarkable women like Alfre and my mother and the women that I work with at the network and studio who exude the most gracious confidence in a non-aggressive, non-egotistical way. That’s what I need to learn. I need to learn to be like that and not just vomit my ideas out there.
Once you learn that, I still think it’s important to be true to yourself. I don’t want my kids to feel like they don’t have a voice or that having a voice makes them a bitch. I’ve gone through that phase, too, where I just sit in the corner quietly and look pretty and smile a lot. It’s not terribly satisfying. It’s living in a weird place of fear of what others think about you. But what matters most is what I think about me. I hold myself to the standard that I think is important. Do I have integrity? Am I compassionate? Am I charitable? Am I forgiving? Am I respectful and decent? That’s far more important to me than saying what everyone wants me to say.
Do you think your comments would have been received differently if you were a man? There’s no male equivalent for the word “diva.” Do you feel that women have less freedom to stand up for themselves and what is right, without coming across as abrasive?
Why isn’t there the male equivalent for even bitch? It’s so derogatory. I can get into a whole conversation about this. My husband and I talk about this and he’s like, ?Well, let’s come up with a word!’ But look, I don’t want to be a victim, either. I don’t want to sit around and complain about the way things are, I want to power through it. My mother never subscribed to the idea that a woman had to be this or a woman was only capable of this in a professional way. Even if that stigma was placed on her in the ’50s and the ’60s and the ’70s, she just ignored it and kept moving forward and kept being who she was capable of being and doing. It’s not always possible if the people in charge say no because the people in charge do say no. But that’s my approach at this point, to not let it make me a victim of society or sexism. It’s up to me to bully my way through it.
[From E! Online]
I like what Heigl said about not painting herself as a victim because she’s not. I would have liked to hear her own her past statements though instead of acting like she was speaking her truth and got eviscerated for it. In Heigl’s mind, she’s either being true to herself by speaking out or she’s “sitting in the corner quietly [to] look pretty and smile a lot.” She did admit that she needs to learn how to be graciously confident and “not just vomit ideas out there.” I do think she’s learning, but I don’t think she’s changed. She still thinks she was right all along and that everyone else misinterpreted her.
Katherine Heigl is shown in September with her husband, Josh Kelley, and on 10-24 at a Big Brother event.

| Zoe Saldana: 'Girls can some times be a little too mean with each other' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
I saw these photos of Zoe Saldana out and about on Sunday and Monday, so I figured it was worth checking in with her. She’s looking super pregnant, and it’s easy to assume she’s close to her due date. But with twins, who knows. A Zoe source (she still needs to plug those holes) recently revealed that she is expecting two boys. These are nice photos of Zoe and Marco. He seems very protective of her in view of the paps. I forgot to mention thislast time I talked about Zoe: Marco’s put on a little sympathy weight. Not much, just a tiny bit, for solidarity’s sake. He looks good.
There’s a new-to-me interview that Zoe did with Queen Latifah. It’s not the freshest discussion, but I found it interesting. Zoe talks about how she always had trouble making female friends as she grew up. Mostly because of bullying:
On growing up without girlfriends: “It was really hard. Because I love women. There was for a long time in my life when I was younger, I sort of gave up on trying to find female friends. Because girls can some times be a little too mean with each other. And I don’t know where it comes from, as opposed to us uniting, we tend to pick each other apart. It was very, very difficult. I remember my mom always stood by us.”
Zoe’s mom helped her: “She would talk it through. She never uplifted us by putting some one else down. See, she would try to make us understand, look there is probably something going on in their lives, or you need to understand, as a person, nobody bullies when they’re happy.”
Zoe’s thoughts on bullies: “So the bully is the unhappiest person around you at that moment. They’re so unhappy he has to come and other somebody else. Once you know all these things, and you know he is the one that feels most scared, the bully is the one that has very little regard for himself, very poor self-esteem. Once you understand that reality about a bully, you have won already. And you stick to the people that make you feel really good about yourself. But the one person that has to feel good about yourself is you. It takes practice. It’s not easy. You wake up and, and now, are you kidding me? Nothing fits. I look in the mirror … What are you going to do? You put something on. You practice the ‘I’m beautiful. This is me. This is as good as it is going to get and it is great.”
[From The Queen Latifah Show]
That’s rough. I know Zoe can come off as a little rude, but it makes more sense to know that she had a hard time growing up. Honestly, who can’t identify with being bullied at least a little bit in school? Junior high was just a nightmare for me. Things loosened up a lot in high school. Junior high kids are some of the worst people in the world. Yeah, bullying is a topic that we hear about a lot from celebrities, but Zoe’s words on the subject soften her up in my eyes.
Anyway, I can’t wait for Zoe to give birth because you know she’s going to give these twin boys some pretentious names.

| Evangeline Lilly thinks being 'barefoot & pregnant' sounds like 'a dream' | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|

|
Evangeline Lilly covers the December issue of Fashion magazine to promote her role in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Yeah, I know … another Hobbit movie. Apologies to all the Middle-Earth fans out there, but this franchise befuddles me.
Evangeline apparently styled herself for the shoot, which you can see here. That’s kinda cool, but Evangelina was smug about this accomplishment: “I don?t want to just model. Anyone can do that.” She chose some Chanel, Julien MacDonald, and Zuhair Murad ensembles for the editorial. Evangeline did fine, but she shouldn’t quit her Hobbit job. This interview is more interesting than the shoot:
Her “androgynous” fashion sense: “I haven’t even scratched the surface of fashion yet. If you are not a clearly defined human being, it is very hard to define your image. And, it is such a difficult thing to navigate. What I?ve realized in my own journey in fashion is that I?m not that defined. I do feel like I am at ease in my own skin when I find an androgynous balance. It?s one of the things I love about my new haircut! I found the balance between masculine and feminine that I am always striving for and never getting.”
On The Lost curse: “I was more off the rails than anyone else in the cast. The public didn?t see it but I managed to hold it together by the skin of my teeth.”
Her dream role: “It would be amazing to play Sylvia Plath. She was so dark and what came out of her writing was troubled and fierce. The dimensions, levels, layers and levels would be incredible to take on. Let?s face it, the more groundbreaking female writers with families were the original mommy bloggers.”
Her place in Hollywood: “I am an opportunist. When opportunities come and I see them serving my grander goals in life, I take them. When I look ahead and see where I want to be in five years from now, I know acting can get me there. It?s a vehicle where I can realize my other dreams.”
She wants 6 children: “There is that old mentality where some think women should be barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen. When I hear those words, I think, ‘What. A. Dream.’”
[From Fashion]
So Sylvia Plath was one of “the original mommy bloggers“? Oh boy. Somehow I can’t see Sylvia taking the time to Pinterest or bother with any form of social media. She’d probably turn the comments off on a blog, and unlist it with all search engines. Her only online presence would be a Tumblr devoted to the douchey acts of Ted Hughes. I can actually see that part happening. Evangeline should have used a better example to illustrate a mommy blogger.
As for Evangeline’s desire to be “barefoot and pregnant,” eh, why not? At least she admits the practice is archaic. If that’s what she wants, go for it.

| Melanie Brown dated women for 'a few years' but doesn't call herself a lesbian | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
I?ll admit it, of all of the Spice Girls, I only really pay attention to Posh. But ?Scary? Spice ? otherwise known as Mel B or Melanie Brown ? does some stuff too. She had that thing with Eddie Murphy and now she?s married to Stephen Belafonte (no relation to Harry). She also appears on The X-Factor (UK) and her comings and goings are always news in the UK papers. I don?t know why I was drawn to this story, but I thought it was interesting. Probably because I vividly remember the ?90s, when the Spice Girls were a thing. That was also back in the day when some girls experimented with their sexuality for, like, a semester in college. And Mel did that too – she says she had relationships with women. But she stops short of identifying herself as a lesbian or bisexual. Hm.
Mel B may be happily married to husband Stephen Belafonte?but that doesn’t mean the former Spice Girl hasn’t sexually experimented in her past. During a recent appearance on Alan’s Carr: Chatty Man, the America’s Got Talent and X-Factor U.K. judge revealed that she has previously had romantic relationships with women, although she insisted she is not a lesbian.
Speaking about straight women who have also had same-sex relationships, Mel B (via Daily Mail) said, “Yeah. I was one of those for a few years.”
Asked by Carr if she would consider herself a lesbian, the singer replied, “I would not call it that. I was just one of those ladies. Now I’m happily married.”
Mel also told Carr about the time when she had an impromptu business meeting with a half-naked Simon Cowell.
“His dressing room is stunning,” she said of the X Factor boss. “It is like what Liberace would have. He has got a bath, it is gorgeous. I was sitting there with a cup of tea and he walked out of his bathroom with his towel on and he said, ‘Oh, hello darling, I have just come out of the bath,’” she continued. “I said, ‘Can we talk about the show please?’ He just sat there in his towel.”
Last year, during an appearance on Howard Stern, Mel B?after admitting she has kissed all of her Spice Girls bandmates?was asked whether she considers herself to be a role model for gays and lesbians. The question prompted Eddie Murphy’s ex rip off her mic and storm out of her interview.
[From E! News]
First, in any other line of work, Simon?s actions would be considered sexual harassment. And he probably was hitting on Mel ? she seems like his type. As for the ?I was a lesbian for a few years? thing? I remember back in the day when it really was a TREND. I?m being serious. Back in the ?90s, some girls followed the ?trend? and tried out lesbianism for a short time. I would guess that most of those women do not consider themselves lesbians now. But the current thinking on LGBTQ issues is that sexuality is not a trend, that if you?ve had a woman-on-woman relationship for a few years, you are at the very least bisexual. So, did Mel offend anyone?

| Anna Kendrick: If you grow up middle class, you feel you always have to work | Added 10 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
I?m saying this with zero shade-attempt, but I?ve been looking at the December magazine covers, and I?m sort of surprised by how bland they are and how really weird cover subjects were chosen for what should be one of the bigger issues of the year. Like, Allison Williams is on the cover of Allure, and it?s utterly boring. And now Anna Kendrick covers the December issue of Marie Claire and I?m just not feeling it. Now, don?t get me wrong ? I like Anna. A lot. She?s super-talented and she?s got a big part in the anticipated musical Into the Woods. But there were ways to make a December cover with Anna Kendrick more appealing, and I?m not sure if Marie Claire followed through. This cover is extraordinarily underwhelming. Here are some highlights from her cover story:
On her role as Cinderella in Into the Woods: “The character is thoughtful and complicated. You see what happens after she marries the prince, when you start to face problems in seemingly perfect situations. The interesting thing about her is she overthinks things, she’s uncertain ? we don’t see that in most versions. In a lot of ways, I think it’s this incredibly brave story. She’s neglected and abused her entire life she finally gets love and it’s not the kind of love she was looking for, and she stands up for herself.”
On taking a short break: “The whole going-movie-to-movie-to-movie thing, I’ve been living that way for three years. Like I need to be a person and, you know, maintain relationships.”
On insta-fame following her 2010 Oscar nomination: “It was insane. Like really groovy and exciting. [But] there was a lot of ‘Why me?’?that sort of thing.”
On the celebrity hacking scandal this fall: “I’m so infuriated on behalf of those girls. And bummed out that people feel like that’s something they can do.”
On having her looks scrutinized: “The most common thing that I get is, ‘Am I the only one who doesn’t think that Anna Kendrick is pretty?’ And you’re like, ‘No, you’re not the only one. Arguably, all of the boys in my high school agree with you.’”
On ambition: “Mostly it’s the fear that the wolves are always at your heels and you’re going to be tossed out into the street. If you grow up middle class, you just always feel like you’ve got to be working, because otherwise you won’t be able to pay the rent.”
[From Marie Claire]
Did anyone else chuckle a little bit when she said ?If you grow up middle class, you just always feel like you’ve got to be working?? I guarantee that working class and working poor people feel the same way, it?s not just a middle class thing, Anna! But she wasn?t throwing shade, she was just talking about her work ethic, which in my opinion is different than talking about ambition. Or is it? Is her ambition simply to work, to work in diverse and challenging projects? I think it probably is ? she doesn?t want to be a Movie Star, she wants to do interesting stuff and be a hirable actress. Not the worst play.
Oh, and here’s the trailer for Into the Woods. I don’t know, you guys. This looks like a hot mess.

Here is Christina Aguilera making her first red carpet appearance since welcoming her baby daughter Summer at the 2014 Breakthrough Prize Awards Ceremony held at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California.
Over the years, fans have seen solid work in terms of albums from the Grammy-winning vocalist but not without its mishaps such as criticism for “overdoing” a song with excessive runs, having a lack of contorl at times when singing, the infamous perfomance of the National Anthem at Superbowl XLV in 2011 or having underwhelming numbers for 2012’s album ‘Lotus’ given Aguilera’s caliber. However, she showed up and showed out at last night’s NASA event to honor the achievements of Breakthrough Prize Scientists.

Kicking off the week with some media duties, Katie Holmes showed up in Times Square, New York City on Monday (November 10).
The ?Teaching Mrs. Tingle? actress smiled for the cameras as she strolled out of ABC Studios after taping a segment with Robin Roberts on ?Good Morning America.?
Meanwhile, Katie recently told People magazine that while she has much of her personal and professional life down to a science, her kitchen skills are another story.
Holmes shared, "My first two pancakes are always burned. Well, sometimes it's not just the first two, and I'm seriously under pressure because it's the last part of the batter and I'm flipping it, and it's about to break apart, and I'm thinking, 'No, please, please, don't break ? this is going to set the tone for the whole day. The whole day could be ruined by this!'"
