Heading off for another day of work, Taylor Swift stepped out in Los Angeles on Tuesday (October 29).
The "22" hitmaker bundled up in a white sweater as she stopped by a local dance studio for rehearsal.
Miss Swift is currently gearing up for the first YouTube Music Awards that will be lived-streamed online Sunday (November 3rd).
The nominations in six categories opened on October 21 on the website's music award channel, where fans can watch, share and favorite the featured videos.
According to YouTube's official blog, "The video and artist nominations are based on YOUR views, likes, comments and subscriptions over the last 12 months from September 2012, and your vote from today will determine the winners."
Among the artists that will be performing at the 90-minute award show are fan favorites such as Lady Gaga, Eminem, Avicii, M.I.A., and Arcade Fire.

Taking care of promotional duties for her upcoming film "About Time," Rachel McAdams stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday (October 29).
The 34-year-old actress donned a striped dress as she sat down and chatted with the host about her favorite Halloween memories, which include passing out candy to teenagers who recognized her as "Mean Girls'" Regina George.
"I have to dress up now to give out candy because I was giving out candy one year and some teenage girls came to the door," Miss McAdams explained. "And they were like, 'Are you Regina George from Mean Girls?' and I was like 'No... Just no. That's so weird that you're asking me that.'"
Ellen then joked, "'You don't know where I live now. I'm in someone else's house doing this.' And you had to move the next day?"
Rachel continued, "So I had to try to find whatever was in my closet [to wear]. I think I came up with a ski bunny [costume]. I basically put on my snowsuit and a hat and sunglasses."

Kate Bosworth met her husband Michael Polish when he directed her in Big Sur, a film adaptation of Jack Kerouac?s novel by the same name. That was 2011. It?s taken this long for the film to get any kind of release date. And here are the photos from the NYC premiere. I think this may be Kate and Michael?s first red carpet since their wedding in August? Maybe? Does marriage agree with her? She looks the same to me. She always has that haughty expression ? Kate wore this Christopher Kane Spring 2014 dress which I find both boring and fug. Like, for me it?s usually either/or. Either I think the dress is interestingly fug or so boring I don?t even want to discuss it. It just seems like such a boring choice for a self-appointed ?Fashion Girl? to wear a silky black slip-dress thing to her big premiere, but the details on it make it fug. That collar attachment is horrible. The hemline is off in several ways too ? it needed to be a few inches longer and it needed to not be hemmed in such a budget way.
By the way, Polish recently directed The Bos?s commercial for her Topshop Collection. Why does he make his wife look like hell?
Also: I?m including photos of Balthazar and Rosetta Getty at the same premiere and OMG!!!! Now I feel bad about thinking The Bos looked so severe ? Rosetta Getty can out-severe, out-bitchface any one of us. Rosetta had had Balthazar on total Dong Lockdown since the Sienna Miller stuff. She?s got Dong LoJack.

Is Eva Longoria one of those women who can’t be single for five minutes? I have the impression that she is. We’re always hearing about her latest relationship, which serves the dual purpose of publicity for Eva and company. The last we heard about Eva, 38, she was breaking up with her bankrupt boyfriend, a 34 year-old jobless contestant on her failed dating reality show, Ready for Love. It’s been a couple of months, which seems like a decent window. Maybe I judged her too quickly, or maybe she just wanted to wait a little bit to debut the fact that she’s back with her ex-boyfriend, Eduardo Cruz. We also heard rumors that Eva and George Clooney were hooking up on the downlow, but of course nothing came of that. Eva is too accomplished for George. I’m serious.
You may remember when Eva last dated Eduardo, they first hooked up in 2011 right around the time she divorced Tony Parker. They were together about 14 months, broke up, got back together and broke up again a few months later, in June of last year. Eduardo is Penelope Cruz’s little brother and is 10 years younger than Eva. Get it, Eva. Here’s more about their recent reunion, thanks to E! Online:
The former couple was spotted back together again, grabbing lunch at Serafina restaurant in New York City Saturday afternoon.
A fellow diner tells E! News exclusively Longoria and Cruz were in “good spirits” during their outing, with the former Desperate Housewives star rocking jeans, heels and a green tunic top for the occasion.
While it wasn’t clear at first whether the duo was just enjoying a friendly meal or a date, the diner told E! News they were soon “all over each other.”
“After a bit, they started holding hands and kissing,” the diner said. “Then they began full on making out. They were seated a table out in the open at the front of the restaurant. They didn’t seem to care who saw them.”
Saturday night, the duo was back at Serafina, heading to a different location near Times Square around dinner time.
This go round, Longoria was wearing black leather pants, talk black boots and a winter jacket. After ordering an espresso, the actress and her beau packed on the PDA again once they got settled in.
“They were very cute together, holding hands and giving each other little kisses,” a source told E! News. “They were adorable. Eva was in a great mood, huge smile on her face and very kind to the staff.”

Why do people do this? Why do they make out like this in public? I mean maybe they were lost in the moment and the kiss got away from them, but if it lasted for a few minutes or whatever that’s different. I am not a PDA person and while cuddling and kissing is sweet, making out should be saved for a more private venue. Maybe in the corner at a club, not at a restaurant.
Anyway, Eva and Eduardo are having a three peat. Is the third time the charm for them or is it just a reconciliation of convenience? Time will tell.

Katy Perry covers the December issue of Glamour UK to promote Prism. I don’t know what’s going on with me lately with Katy. I’m actually warming to her “music,” but this cover reminds me of everything that ever annoyed me about Katy Perry. The quirky hairdo, the kicky feathers, and the oh-so-precious hand placement — it’s all so wrong. The cover boasts a headline about “sex, success & surviving her darkest days,” which means she’ll probably trash Russell Brand again in the interview. Glamour hasn’t released excerpts yet but has revealed that Katy says she’d only be friends with Rusty “in another lifetime.” There you have it.
Katy also sat down with NPR, which describes her as “the biggest pop star in the world” (someone had better warn Miley Cyrus about that). Many topics of discussion came to the forefront, but the most interesting detail is how Katy feels about pop stars who use their sexuality to make it big. Ahem:
On writing “Roar”: “I was living in a little bit of fear. And I just kind of just listened to myself and I thought, you know what, I need to kind of find that inner strength again ’cause I had just been through a real, a little bit of a self-confidence shattering in my own personal life. And so I was just looking for my voice again, and that came out as a roar.”
Her thoughts on “other” pop stars: “Well, I think I like to be an inspiration. I think when you set out to be an artist, first and foremost – a musician, a rock ‘n’ roller – you don’t come with this kind of, like, hey, I also want to be a role model that, obviously, will let you down because I’m a human being. And a lot of people see me as a role model but I’d like to kind of turn that around and say I appreciate that but I’d like to be seen as an inspiration. Because a role model, I think, will fail you. I mean, I couldn’t tell kids when it’s time for them to try things or do things. I mean, that’s not my role. But, you know, it’s funny. I do see myself becoming this, whatever, inspiration out of default right now, ’cause it’s such a strange world. Like females in pop – everybody’s getting naked. I mean, I’ve been naked before but I don’t feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed. But it’s interesting to see…
“I’m not talking about anyone in particular. I’m talking about all of them. I mean, it’s like everybody’s so naked. It’s like put it away. We know you’ve got it. I got it too. I’ve taken it off for – I’ve taken it out here and there. And I’m not necessarily judging. I’m just saying sometimes it’s nice to play that card but also it’s nice to play other cards. And I know I have that sexy card in my deck but I don’t always have to use that card. And especially like with this new song called “Unconditionally” that’s on the record.”
On getting back onstage: “Lately, I’ve been all ritualed up because I’m trying to build endurance for being back on stage, ’cause I was kind of off the stage for a year and ate a lot of fatty foods and, you know, got a little plump. And that was OK. But now it’s time to get back in the game. Sometimes I do this thing called transcendental meditation that helps. So, that’s kind of my ritual.”
On being a pop star: “It’s a balancing act. It’s like dancing and running and jumping and sleeping all on a balancing beam. But it’s super fun and sometimes you get a great soundtrack to go along with that dance.”

Katy also sat down with a French television program to further elaborate on her position: “I really like all of my focus and attention to be on my music. I’m 28 now and I’m an old lady, so I keep my clothes on!” Says the girl who — just five years ago — stroked a kitty while singing about getting it on with another girl. Says the girl who posed naked (with only a cotton candy cloud to cover her “modesty”) on the Teenage Dream album cover. Says the girl who shot whipped cream out of her boobs. And so on.

Here are some photos of Jude Law at last night?s UK premiere of Dom Hemingway, that funny-looking gonzo movie where Jude plays a low-class gangster and Richard E. Grant plays his brother. I covered the first trailer in September, and most of you were super-excited about it. I?ll include the trailer again below (it?s NSFW-ish because of Jude?s bum).
Anyway, I think Jude looked okay at the premiere. I don?t care for his jacket/sweater (?), and I wish he would grow out his hair a bit more, but otherwise, he looks pretty good. Jude recently talked about the transformation he had to undertake to play Dom Hemingway:
Actor Jude Law has confessed that he finds making films dull, the Sunday People can report. Jude, 40, said: ?I really love acting but it is hard work and sometimes can be quite boring. Genuinely. Making films can be quite boring. It should be something different every time you go to work and feel as if you are embarking on something new.?
He was speaking ahead of the premiere of comedy Dom Hemingway, in which he plays a wild drinking safe-cracker seeking what he is owed after a 12-year prison stretch. Law piled on weight to play Dom.
He said: ?My character is a drunk who drank far too much and eats appalling food and smokes 40 fags a day. For three months my diet was whiskey, fags, hamburgers, ice cream and more ice cream. I didn?t feel well by the end.?
He added: ?They cut my suits in by two inches all over so I looked as if I was bulging out of it like toothpaste from a tube. It had to be skin tight. I never weighed myself but it added a sagginess and bloated cheeks. I did not feel well at the end of the five months. By the end of the film I was so ready to quit fags and the drink.?
Serious actor Jude also feared he would fall flat on his face making his new comedy which also stars Richard E Grant. He said: ?There were certain reservations. There was a fear factor as I knew it would be a lot to take on. There was a fear of I suppose failing as it was stretching a new muscle for me.?

Well, if you really need to put on weight and it doesn?t have to be muscle weight, you might as well eat a lot of ice cream and hamburgers and drink whatever you want. Isn?t it weird, though? I don?t think Jude looked bad with the extra weight. I mean, his Dom Hemingway has bad hair and he?s sort of gross, but all of that ?extra weight? made Jude look kind of cuddly. I?m into it. Also ? he?s talking about cigarettes.

Lisa Kudrow is about to join ABC’s Scandal, which just makes me remember that I have a lot of excellent (trashy) TV to start catching up with. (I haven’t been watching much TV during the site redesign, that is about to change and I am so looking forward to it.)
Kudrow, 50, did an interview with The Saturday Evening Post that is worth reading in its entirety. Kudrow is an actress whom I think of fondly but don’t really follow, so it was a nice surprise to read some of the things she said about her career and remaining positive in the face of adversity. She told a story about how she got shunned by all the popular girls in junior high, and how much of an effect it had on her. This also happened to me in junior high, girls that age can be incredibly cruel, and I found myself relating to her. It’s hard to pick out just the best quotes from this interview since there’s a lot of insight and quotable lines, but I’ll try.
Have you ever experienced anti-Semitism?
LK: Yes, I have. In college there was more anti-Semitism than before college, because there were people who never met a Jew before. A friend of mine, when she found out I was Jewish, said, ?Really? Oh, I don?t like Jews.?
Q: Can you relate the story of how your two best friends in junior high school told you they didn?t want to be friends with you anymore?
LK: That happened in seventh grade when we moved from sixth grade to a new school. So they knew some people, and I didn?t. Eventually they just got tired of me being a tag-along. They said, ?For your own good, you need to see what would happen if we weren?t here.? It was really brutal. Very hard.
Q: Turned your world upside down?
LK: Yeah, it did. It was just mean. And all of junior high felt upside down to me. It was not, like, the nice people who were popular; it wasn?t the most entertaining people?it was the meanest people who were popular. We were reading Macbeth at the time, and I remember the three witches: ?What?s fair is foul and foul is fair.? That?s all I could hear in my head during that whole period. When my friends dropped me I was asking my parents, ?What did I do?? And my father would say, ?F ?em.? His answer to everything. And my mother would say, ?You can?t do that.?
Q: Was it your older sister who rescued you from being isolated in school?
LK: She did, definitely. Unbelievable of her too, because I was 13 and she was 20. She would find out when our half days were, when everyone would go out to lunch and I would have no one to eat with. She would pick me up and take me to lunch. That?s extraordinary to me. It was just very generous of her to be so sensitive and aware, even though there was nothing anyone could do.
Q: You did something about your appearance, having your nose fixed when you were 16.
LK: That was life altering. I went from, in my mind, hideous, to not hideous. I did it the summer before going to a new high school. So there were plenty of people who wouldn?t know how hideous I looked before. That was a good, good, good change.
Q: Do people still call you Phoebe?
LK: Yes, they do. I don?t turn around. I never turn around. If someone?s in front of me, I?ll smile and try to be nice. But I don?t like taking pictures. Autographs are fine.

She was probably just as lovely with her original nose, and associated her old look with what she went through as a younger teen, and moving past that. So many actors and actresses have had nose jobs, it seems like the one plastic surgery procedure that they have in common.
There’s even more I didn’t include, like about how she got encouraged to act by Jon Lovitz, who was a friend of her brother, and how Conan O’Brien was in her first improv class. Conan claims that Kudrow deserves the credit for the fact that he became a talk show host. She confirmed that story, saying that she gave him the idea. (She wasn’t bragging, it sounded more matter-of-fact.) She said “I remember saying, ‘If Letterman?s leaving his late-night show, he?s irreplaceable. So better it be someone we don?t know at all.’ So I thought he should look into it.” I came away from this interview wanting to be friends with her, and resolved to start watching her recent show Web Therapy. I’m going to add it to my fall binge list. The couch is calling.

THAT is the story I cannot wait for. Anyway, Nicole covers the December issue of VF, which was probably arranged back when Grace of Monaco was going to be Nicole?s big 2013 Oscar contender. Unfortunately, Harvey Weinstein shut it down and pushed the film to next year. So, this VF cover is a little bit? funny, I guess. Are we laughing about Grace of Monaco yet? I bet we?ll be laughing when it comes out. As for the interview, Nicole talks a bit about being married to Tom Cruise and how famous that marriage made her:
?I was so young,? Nicole Kidman tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Sam Kashner in the December-issue cover story, reflecting back on her marriage to Tom Cruise when she was just 23 years old. ?And you know, with no disrespect to what I had with Tom, I?ve met my great love now. And I really did not know if that was going to happen. I wanted it, but I didn?t want it for a while, because I didn?t want to jump from one relationship to another. I had a lot of time alone, which was really, really good, because I was a child, really, when I got married. And I needed to grow up.?
Kidman, who was playing Virginia Woolf in The Hours at the time of her divorce from Cruise, recalls shooting Woolf?s suicide scene, walking into the River Ouse over and over again, as electric fans whipped up the river?s waves. ?Walking into the river with those stones in my pockets?I chose life,? she says. ?At the time, I was at a low point, and by playing her, it put me into a place of appreciating life.?
When asked about the unreal level of fame she endured during her marriage to Cruise, Kidman says, ?There is something about that sort of existence that, if you really focus on each other and you?re in that bubble, it?s very intoxicating, because it?s just the two of you. And there is only one other person that?s going through it. So it brings you very close, and it?s deeply romantic. I?m sure Brad and Angelina have that?because there?s nobody else that understands it except that person who?s sleeping right next to you.?
Kidman tells Kashner, ?Having experienced extreme fame and now getting to a place where it?s not so dominating in my life, I?m always surprised when I go somewhere and people know who I am.? She explains that when it?s seen through the eyes of her children ?it jars me again, because they ask, ?Why do they want a photo?? and ?Why is that person saying hello to you when you don?t know them?? All of that stuff has to be explained to a five-year-old. So I see it through a different perspective.?
Kidman, who now lives in Nashville with her husband, Keith Urban, and their two daughters, tells Kashner she doesn?t miss Hollywood. ?The whole business side of it?it?s too present. It doesn?t suit me,? she explains. ?There?s an enormous amount you have to give up if you want to have a family. You can have a certain career, but you can?t be living in Hollywood, [where] absolutely everything, everything revolves around it. That wasn?t my choice. I?d rather revolve around somebody else?s career and then still find my own.? Kidman says she loves living in Nashville, ?because I can kind of have a very odd, idiosyncratic kind of path. I have stepped away from the fame part of it. I didn?t find what I was looking for in fame. So I went, O.K., this is not for me. And it was such a blessing that I found somebody who said, ?Well, are you willing to move to Tennessee?? And I was ?Oh, am I willing to move!??
Kidman talks to Kashner about how having children has affected her marriage with Urban, saying it ?gives you some glue, [so] you?re both kind of in there together and you?re having to work through raising them, which brings up an enormous amount of personal things in terms of history and your own life. Yet if you kind of move into each other, you discover and heal a lot of things in each other, too. Well, that?s what I?ve found for us?very, very healing, when it?s gently, gently done.?
Though Kidman calls her marriage ?very, very peaceful,? she admits to Kashner that she struggles between ?giving my life to my lover and my children? and ?giving my life to my artistic desires.? Kidman says that?s always going to be her struggle ?because I?m passionate, so I want to be able to give completely to both, and that doesn?t work always.? She tells Kashner ?it?s a push-pull. It?s uncharted. My husband and I are in uncharted territory because we?re trying to find artistic expression but also we?re incredibly connected as a family?we?re very, very tight, very, very close, and I have a very, very primal protection of my family.?

Lord, I always forget how often Nicole plays this delicate little bunny act. I do think she?s shy and nervous in general, but there?s something off-putting (to me) about a 46-year-old woman who still acts like she might be too fragile for this world. Plus, I don?t buy that Nicole is like this about everything ? this is the woman who escaped Tom Cruise and Xenu and came out of it with a Best Actress Oscar and a hot career (but not her children). That being said, nothing she says here is offensive. She works hard, she loves her husband, she loves her daughters, she doesn?t like being famous. Blah.

The first thing Kim Kardashian did when she got home after giving birth was to check out what that baby did to her vagina. To her surprise, everything looked fabulous. Telling Khloe in the latest episode ofKeeping Up With the Kardashians, “When I came back from the hospital the first thing I did was go and look at my vagina in the mirror. It looks better looking than before.”
Kim, brimming with self-confidence, went on, “I just want to come out to the world, and be naked and be like, ‘I look so hot. I am back.’” Then she shot back at the haters who called her “a whale, Shamu, a cow.” Hm, don’t forget emperor penguin.
She then bragged about how easy childbirth was for her. “Labor was honestly the easiest thing ever. I did not feel one thing. Like, it was not hard.”
That doesn’t come as much of a shock to anyone. We’ve all seen her vagina and what can fit up there, right? Plus, she has the birthing hips of a baby elephant. A VW Bug could come out of there with minimal discomfort.
In other news, Kim celebrated her birthday at TAO in Vegas last Friday. Her boobs were huge.
