Jessica, who gave birth to son Ace at the end of June, showed off her curvy figure while out to eat with fianc Eric Johnson, her sister Ashlee, Ashlee’s boyfriend Evan Ross, her friend CaCee Cobb (also a new mom to son Rocco), and CaCee’s husband actor Donald Faison. The couples dined at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Los Angeles on Thursday night and there wasn’t a costume in sight.

At a Halloween party last Thursday at Bootsy Bellows, Miley Cyrus was seen flirting with and kissing Benji Madden.
Miley, who looked ‘amazing’ in her Lil Kim outfit, was introduced to Benji through a friend at Adam Lambert’s Halloween Party Powered by CIROC, says the source.
‘Soon they were flirting and talking very closely. Then they shared a kiss. They left Bootsy Bellows together around 1 am,’ an eyewitness who was at the event tells MailOnline.
‘They tried to be discreet by sharing a car with some other friends but it was clear they were leaving as a couple.’
I’m not sure if I should be extremely disappointed that Benji Madden is still a thing or if I should be patting him on his back and buying him a beer.

Stepping out for a triple date night, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson met up with their close friends for a couple's Halloween dinner on Thursday (October 31).
The "Irresistible" hitmaker showed off her figure as she and her husband sat down with her sister Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, Donald Faison and CaCee Cobb for an evening of laughs and celebration.
Miss Simpson recently posted on Parents.com about giving birth to her two children (Maxwell 17 months, Ace 5 months) and how they changed her life.
"My pregnancies (especially my first with Maxwell) were well documented and my struggles with my weight and body image have played out in front of the world," the 33-year-old singer explained. "As hard as that has been, the hardest part is to realize that with all the hurtful and harsh criticism from others, I have been the hardest on myself."
Jessica continued, "Raising Maxwell makes me realize that I don't want her to see me beat myself up for things like food choices or numbers on a scale. Those things don't determined who we are and instead make us feel terrible about ourselves... I want her to know her value, rather than spending her energy fighting negative choices from within."
"Becoming a mom has helped me realized I'm actually proud for a lot of the things I have done in my life. Having my kids has mad eme feel so much more at peace with myself," she added.

Miley Cyrus is bored off her ass, y’all. Really. She captioned the above Twitpic with “Sundays consists of sitting by the fire by myself bored.” I guess BFF/enabler Cheyne is off duty on Sundays, but it’s sad that Miley doesn’t know what to do with herself besides party. My grandma always told me there are never boring subjects, just boring people. Well Miley has come down off her twerking cloud and realized there’s not much else that interests her. This is her second publicized round of boredom in as many months. She’ll soon be heading off for a disastrous tour where she’ll (temporarily) score $500,000 per night. Still she’s all “FML.”
It’s worth noting that Miley’s current Twitter profile pic is the latest InTouch tabloid cover with a cover story that shouts, “I need help!” Miley laughs at these stories, but she was the one partying with an open bottle of liquor in the back of a car on Halloween. This wouldn’t be such a huge deal (she’s 20) if she didn’t insist she hates drinking alcohol. The Mail has photos of Miley in a car with Benji Madden, twin brother of Joel (Nicole Richie will not be happy about this). The Mail claims Miley and Benji were making out all night long. I believe it because Miley indiscriminately makes out with everyone now:

E! Online confirmed the confirmed the “makeout sesh” with two separate sources. Honestly, I don’t know much about Benji and wouldn’t know a Good Charlotte song from any other late 1990s radio music. Benji’s supposedly a nice guy, but he dated Paris Hilton for about a year, which makes him suspect. Benji (I think) is the twin on the left on this photo, right?

Not content to merely call the paparazzi on herself and Eddie Cibrian in Malibu on Friday, LeAnn also had to ensure that the paparazzi would get lots and lots of photos of her being a loving Bonus Mom, so she called them and told them she would put on a show during Mason Cibrian?s soccer game on Saturday. These are those photos. What?s funny/interesting/uncomfortable is that LeAnn is so hyper-aware of the cameras (which she invited), to the point where she?s just obviously staring at the paps rather than her stepsons in most of the photos. And when she is looking at one of her bonus kids, it?s obvious that her thought process is ?Okay, pose like this and they?ll get a great shot!? Who is this aimed at? Brandi? All of us? All of the above? All I can say is that the way she?s holding Jake is just? ugh. I feel sorry for those kids.
Hilariously, though, LeAnn does think that her comings and goings are, like, A-list. The fact that her marriage problems made the cover of Star Mag only reinforce her idea of herself as a major celebrity. She even tweeted: ?I?m sure glad we sell mags! Most positive way to look at it. Lol.? Well, LeAnn? everyone stops to look at a car crash, regardless of who is in the car crash. And it?s been four years of non-stop car crashes.
Also interesting ? even the gossip sites who used to cover LeAnn and Eddie without much editorializing have no come on board the Anti-LeAnn Train after she insults them directly. I was surprised to read this Gather Celebs piece which slams her pretty hard. And LeAnn did a tweet-and-delete to Celeb Dirty Laundry calling the woman a ?horrific human being? so now CDL is going after LeAnn even harder. LOL.

These are photos of Renee Zellweger attending a screening for the movie Long Shot: The Kevin Laue Story in LA on Saturday. She’s with her boyfriend, an old college friend named Doyle Bramhall II. Doyle is a music producer and musician and has worked as a guitarist for Eric Clapton. Renee and Doyle have been together a little over a year so it seems serious.
Renee is shown in the photo above looking thrilled to meet the movie’s subject, 6’11? college basketball player Kevin Laue. The guy is huge! Renee is 5’4? tall. Laue, 23, is an accomplished player who received a basketball scholarship to play division one for Manhattan college despite being born with just one hand. Wiki tells me that he uses his stump (that’s what they call it!) to help hold the ball when he’s playing. Renee looks astonished at how tall he is and it’s really cute.
Of course we’re reporting this because Renee recently had some kind of plastic surgery or eye work done. Her face looks radically different than it did before. As I said in an earlier post on this, I think Renee looks great and her work isn’t noticeable – if you didn’t know what she looked like before. Compared to her earlier face, she looks much different and more wide eyed. In these pictures of her smiling so cute like that, she looks much more natural to me. I think she looks great, just not like herself.
Many of you pointed out that eye lift surgery is often a necessary procedure to correct eyelid droopiness and may not be for cosmetic reasons. Whatever Renee’s motivation, I hope she likes her new look and is comfortable with it. I wonder if she’ll talk about her surgery at some point. She comes across as a very private person. She’s seems friendly and personable, just private with the press. This is a big change for her and I do think that a journalist is going to broach the question in an interview at some point.

I wouldn?t have gone with black-and-white though ? it seems like a makeup/beauty company should always do color images. Still, this photo makes it seem like this campaign will be much better than Blake?s sad Gucci campaign.
Anyway, Blake Lively has always claimed that she doesn?t do much to maintain her figure. For years, she?s given interviews about how she?s so young and active, she doesn?t need to exercise or plan her workouts or anything like that. Well, she?s at it again:
Blake Lively has the A-list husband and Hollywood film career, and just in case you didn’t have enough reasons to dislike her – she credits her amazing figure to chocolate. The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress never deprives herself of anything and thinks her penchant for sweet treats – which she consumes for breakfast and as an evening snack – helps her stay slim and confident.
Asked if she follows a strict regime, Blake said: ‘I do nothing! I’m lucky to have a very active lifestyle. I’m always running around everywhere… So I don’t need to hire a coach or watch what I eat. I can’t start my day off without a mug of hot chocolate or finishing off the day with a few squares of dark chocolate… It keeps me feeling happy.’
Blake – who has just been unveiled at the new face of L’Oreal Paris – says her glowing complexion is down to wearing high factor sunscreen every single day.
She explained: ‘I follow a very simple regime which is broken down into three steps: make-up removal, skincare and UV protection – I’m absolutely obsessed with it. My beauty must have is L’Oreal’s BB Cream with SPF 30 – I never ever wear anything less than that factor.’
When she’s feeling down, Blake admits her perfect pick-me-up is a spa session as she always emerges feeling more relaxed.
The 26-year-old blonde revealed in an interview with French Vogue magazine: ‘Getting a massage, if possible at the Mandarin Oriental spa in New York, which I love. I always feel much more beautiful afterwards…’

Claire Danes is the cover girl for the new issue of Interview Mag. She looks pretty glam, right? Like? Jerry Hall in the 1980s. I wouldn?t think that the Jerry Hall styling would work on Claire, but it really does. Claire?s interview was conducted by Dustin Hoffman ? you can read the full Interview piece here. I?m not going to pretend like Claire is the best interview ever or anything. She?s an interesting, smart and talented woman, but on the page, she?s very boring. Some highlights:
Her experience on a TV show: ?I’d actually only done one series before Homeland?and I was 14 when I did it, and we only made 19 episodes?so Homeland has really been my first time aging with a character and experiencing her develop and change. I know that this is not an uncommon story, but I got excited again about television from watching The Wire. That show blew me away; I just could not believe how enormous and layered this world was that they’d created, and how deeply I could delve into it. It was just so thrilling to watch a show like that as an audience member that I became interested in getting involved in something like that on the other side, as a performer. But working on Homeland has been very rewarding. I really enjoy the relationship that an actor has with a team of writers on a show like ours. It’s a very intimate process. You really have to work in tandem.?
Playing Carrie: ?She seemed completely alien to me?completely other. She still does in some ways, but I’ve spent a lot of time with her now. Because she is so different from who I am, she is that much more enjoyable?and, in some ways, easier?to play. Carrie can be manic. Last season, she was pretty consistently medicated, so there were no episodes where she was really spiraling out, but those scenes are kind of fun to play. In the first season, when she really spun out initially, it was kind of a euphoric mania, and that was interesting because I found that I got a bit of a contact high from it?It was exhausting, but it was also exhilarating. But there are different types of mania. At the beginning of this season we’re in now, she’s a different kind of manic?an agitated manic?and all of those manic scenes just happened to be lumped together in the same couple of days at the very beginning of filming. At the time, I had a 6-month-old son, and I was in a completely antithetical state of being. I had just come out of my mommy cocoon and my cushy, mushy love planet. So entering that mania at that point was not as enjoyable.?

She talks a lot about her research into bipolar disorder, and she and Dustin say something interesting, which I?ve never heard before ? that when you?re bipolar and you go off your meds, the high is similar to snorting cocaine. Is that really how it is?
Anyway, the real reason I wanted to cover this is because in this weekend?s episode of Homeland, EVERYTHING CHANGED.
SPOILERS SPOILERS for last night?s Homeland.
So, yeah? ?Still Positive? was one of the crazier episodes of ?Homeland? in a while. I?m developing a theory about Homeland, based on this season and last season ? my theory is that it takes a good three episodes for the Homeland writers to warm up. The first three episodes of this season were too Dana-heavy when it should have been about Saul and Carrie? and even Brody in his sketchy Tower of David. We?ve only seen Brody in one episode so far, right? Anyway, the past two episodes have been really good because we?re back to high-level stagecraft, double-crosses and denouements. At first I was impressed with this new Iranian terrorist, but after last night?s episode? OMG. He?s PSYCHO. Who kills his ex-wife with a jagged bottle?! A psycho. I?m not even being facetious. This guy is a stone-cold psychopath who will screw them over. This is not some ideological purist like Abu Nazir.
Also, the huge spoiler? Carrie is pregnant? I didn?t see that one coming. It?s obviously Brody?s baby because all of those pregnancy tests (YIKES) and the timing. Is this season of Homeland going to feature an abortion?

Michelle Pfeiffer has a new interview with the Sunday Telegraph to promote the The Family, which didn’t exactly set the US box office on fire. Michelle’s career is definitely one that ebbs and flows. She makes a lot of strange choices but sometimes finds a hit. I’m sure she’s not receiving the greatest scripts because options are so limited for women over 40 in Hollywood. She’s still making it though, and she looks ravishing in the process.
Michelle is pulling out the big guns in her arsenal to publicize this movie. In doing so, she’s dredged up a bit of her past that comes as quite a surprise. She reveals that she was a cult member when she was just 20 years old. Michelle was sucked in by an organization that pushed breatharianism, which is the ability to live without food and water. The cult believed that food is unnecessary and that all nourishment that a body needs comes from … sunlight alone. Not surprisingly, Michelle now says this is a diet that “nobody can adhere to.” No kidding:
On realizing she was in a cult: Michelle was ‘saved’ when she was introduced to her first husband, Peter Horton, the actor. He had been cast in a film about the Moonies, the name given to followers of Rev Moon Sun-myung’s Unification Church. She said that while she was helping him with research “on this cult” she realised: “I was in one. We were talking with an ex-Moonie and he was describing the psychological manipulation and I just clicked.”
The cult’s leaders were pseudo-”personal trainers”: “They worked with weights and put people on diets. Their thing was vegetarianism. They were very controlling. I wasn?t living with them but I was there a lot and they were always telling me I needed to come more. I had to pay for all the time I was there, so it was financially very draining. They believed that people in their highest state were breatharian.”
On aging and plastic surgery: “The loss of youth, the loss of beauty — it definitely plays havoc with your psyche. There?s this transition from, ‘Wow, she looks really young for her age,’ to, ‘She looks great for her age.’ And there?s a big difference. I?m now at, ‘She looks great for her age.’ There is certainly a mourning process to that. I used to think I would never have surgery but it’s really hard to say never. I’m not sure what Michelle means by saying “their thing was vegetarianism” when she speaks of the cult’s leaders. Maybe they started out pushing vegetarianism to followers, and the rules gradually became more stringent until no food was allowed at all. That’s a pretty dumb way of preaching, you know? When followers are dropping off like flies (sorry to be gruesome), they can’t exactly churn up new revenue. Dumb cult.
Pfeiffer is a strict vegan these days and seems pretty happy about it. At least we now know why she never stumbled into Scientology.

Hitting the town for a good old fashioned girls' night out, Eva Longoria and Melanie Griffith stopped by ArcLight Hollywood to watch "12 Years a Slave" on Saturday (November 2).
38-year-old Eva was slim and sexy in black, wearing a long sweater and skinnies, while 56-year-old Melanie strode along beside her in a white sweatshirt, a gray tee and skinny jeans, her arms draped over Eva's shoulder.
In career news, Melanie Griffith is currently at work on a new sci-fi thriller named "Autmata," which is set for release in Spain in 2014. The movie stars Antonio Banderas.
According to the synopsis, "Jacq Vaucan, an insurance agent of ROC robotics corporation, routinely investigates the case of manipulating a robot. What he discovers will have profound consequences for the future of humanity."
