Angie Harmon called herself a liberal republican in 2013 so Ive side eyed her for some time. Shes also spoken, at length, about how shes discriminated against in Hollywood for being a republican. She has made some progress recently, so maybe shes changed. In a recent interview with People Magazine Angie was spitting truths which were timely for me to read. Angie is 51 and shes going through menopause. She told People magazine that exercise isnt working like it used to, that she gets so bloated all the time, and that shes basically struggling. OMG same.
Angie Harmon, 51, opened up to PEOPLE about how her body hasn?t been feeling like her own since hitting her 50s and going through menopause.
?The thing that I hate the most is when youre going through menopause, your body just isnt yours anymore,? she tells PEOPLE while explaining the changes and symptoms she?s experienced.
?The workouts that you used to do, they dont work anymore. And I love salt so much, and I swear to God, if I even smell it, I wake up the next morning and my eyes are almost swollen, closed. My face is four times its size,? she said. ?I mean, I have to think about all of these things now that I didnt used to have to think about.?
Harmon says there are even times her face gets so ?puffy? and ?gross? that she doesn?t recognize herself in the mirror.
In addition to the changes in her body, Harmon admits that her energy levels have started to decrease and she?s just been accepting it.
?I think the beauty of being in my fifties is that I definitely have those days where I dont feel like getting out of bed,? she says. ?Im exhausted. I just want to lay there and read a magazine about fashion or decorating and thats it.?
?Ill get up and make my daughter?s lunch and get her to school and do the whole thing and blah, blah, blah,? she adds. ?But I feel like Im coming back home and its one or two things, either laying down or working out. Whichever way the scale tips that day, thats where I go and I dont feel bad about it.?
As she tries to adjust, Harmon said that she?s turned to hot yoga to regulate the bodily changes that have come with menopause.
?I started hot yoga? and I mean you literally sweat out of your eyeballs and it is awesome,? said the Baywatch Nights star. ?Hot yoga. Im telling you, you get in there and you just sweat. I used to be a runner. I used to do all that stuff and I do still, but it just doesnt do what it used to do to my body.?
?Its just a StairMaster and hot yoga and three to five pound weights if Im feeling really good that day,? Harmon continued.
[From People]
As I go through this annoying sh-t, I think back to Viola Daviss interview on Fallon where she said shes angry and hungry all the time. (Shes talked about menopause in other interviews.) I can relate so much to that. Also, I have noticed that my face and hands are swollen frequently and that my joints hurt way more than they used to. I didnt make the connection that the puffiness was due to menopause so it helped me a lot to read this. I cant take hormones because I get high blood pressure from even the lowest dose birth control. I may sound exceptionally negative here but I blame that on menopause it is an absolute bitch. My only advice, and Im saying this mostly for myself, is to just force yourself to exercise if you can because it helps. I have to drag my ass to the gym but once I do a workout I never regret it. Or just stay home and say screw it, like Angie mentioned. Thats better advice, to do whatever you need and not stress about it.
I forgot that she has a pet squirrel!

Idon’t watch Rizzoli & Isles — I may be a shut-in, but I still have standards. So I didn’t realize that Angie Harmon still looked this damn good at 43. But luckily the cougar hottie showed up at something called the 2nd annual Hollywood Beauty Awards over the weekend, I’m assuming to pick up her trophy […]

As we discussed last week, Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn split after 13 years of marriage. The last four four years of their marriage were the most difficult, with Angie splitting her time between North Carolina (their home, where they raise their three daughters) and LA, where she films Rizzoli & Isles. Angie always maintained that she didn?t ever want to raise the kids in LA, because blah blah good Christian values blah blah. And now this good, Christian, conservative couple has split, just like the heathen couples. And wouldn?t you know, there?s a rumor going around that Jason cheated?
Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn have called it quits after 13 years of marriage. The couple told friends that their hectic schedules are to blame, but Star can reveal the real reason behind the split: jealousy. Harmon, 42, who shuffles back and forth between filming Rizzoli & Isles in LA and raising her family in North Carolina, began to suspect that Jason, 43, was keeping female company while she was away.
?Jason started going out to bars with his unmarried friends,? explains the inside source. ?Her friends in North Carolina told her to keep an eye on him, and the distance led to mistrust and poor communication.?
[From Star Magazine, print edition]
It wouldn?t surprise me. It also wouldn?t surprise me if Jason was actually fooling around with Angie?s North Carolina friends, the same ones who were warning her about her marriage. Because that?s just how we roll down here in the good, Christian South. Gaslighting, redneck-style. ?Hey, Angie, I saw your husband at the bar the other night, he was flirting with some girls.? And then that friend will go over to ?comfort? Jason when his ?jealous? wife yells at him.
For what it?s worth, The National Enquirer says that the marriage failed because of all the reasons we?ve already discussed, that being on a hit show which films in LA for six months a year put a tremendous amount of stress on their marriage. Sure. But I?m still saying that both Angie and Jason were probably fooling around.

Since I?ve been writing Angie Harmon stories all week, I?ve been spending some time looking through the photo archives for photos of Angie solo and Angie with her now-estranged husband Jason Sehorn. You know what?s interesting? Angie has spent a lot of time over the past few years going to Hollywood events solo. Angie and Jason haven?t been photographed together on a red carpet since 2011 by WENN?s records. Which is just further evidence for my theory that Jason and Angie have been on the outs for years now, basically ever since she decided to take Rizzoli & Isles and film in LA for six to seven months a year while Jason raised their daughters in nice, conservative North Carolina. Now In Touch Weekly has some gossip about Angie?s behavior while apart from her husband:
News recently broke revealing the split between former NFL pro Jason Sehorn and actress Angie Harmon ? but In Touch Weekly has learned that the couple?s 13-year marriage has practically been over for months.
?They?ve actually been living apart since March,? an insider on the set of Angie?s TNT series, Rizzoli & Isles, reveals in the new issue of In Touch. ?Everyone knew they were having problems.?
Angie was living the single life way before news broke about her breakup with Jason. ?Angie has always acted like she was single around the set ? flirting with guys on the cast and crew,? explains the insider. ?She?s never really given off a vibe that she?s a married mother of three.?
[From In Touch Weekly]
Oh, Harmon has ?always acted like she was single?? I would expect nothing less from such a good, devout Christian. I mean, obviously, she was happy to have the work and I?m sure those Rizzoli & Isles paychecks are great. But I?m still just? confused, I guess, about the thought process that went into taking that job and leaving her family in North Carolina. And for what? She was the architect of her marriage?s demise. Anyway, I do think Angie and Jason have had problems for a lot longer than a few months. Obviously. And despite the ?devout Christian? thing, it wouldn?t surprise me at all if both Angie and Jason were fooling around with other people as they lived apart.

As we discussed yesterday, Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn are over. They were married for 13 years, although the past four or five years have been particularly rough on them. Basically, they?ve been on the rocks ever since Angie signed on to Rizzoli & Isles, which films in LA, but then refused to move her family to LA from North Carolina. Harmon is a vocal conservative and she was often critical of the lack of family values (or whatever) in LA, which is why she worked in LA for seven months a year while Jason Sehorn raised their three daughters in North Carolina. As you can imagine, this issue has come out in the post-split analysis.
Another Hollywood heartbreak. After 13 years of marriage, Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn announced they were calling it quits this past weekend. A source close to the actress tells Us Weekly that the split was actually a while in the making.
“A large part of it is when you spend five or six months a year away from your spouse, it gets really tough,” the insider tells Us of the pair, parents to daughters Finley, 11, Avery, 9, and Emery, 5.
The Rizzoli & Isles actress, 42, and Sehorn got accustomed to that distance. “In the beginning, they really missed each other,” the source recalls, “but then they got into a groove where one person took over the main responsibilities of parenting while the other was working.”
Harmon chose to raise their children in North Carolina, even while she had to film her TNT series in Hollywood. “She didn’t want them growing up in Hollywood and being exposed to the fast-paced life,” the insider tells Us, adding that it was the “greatest thing” she could have done for her children.
Ultimately, however, that distance for Harmon and the former NFL star, 43 ? who stayed mostly at home with the kids ? created tension. “The dynamic of the relationship changed,” the source tells Us. “Things were brewing.”
Still, the insider insists there was no cheating or other betrayal involved in the couple’s decision to separate. “They’re good, devout Christian people,” the source tells Us. “The split wasn’t shocking to their close friends.”
Harmon’s rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the two were “amicably” separating on Monday. “For the sake of their children, they ask for respect & privacy as they navigate this time in their lives,” the rep added.
[From Us Weekly]
I?m trying not to get too judgy and wallow in my schadenfreude, but O RLY?!?! I?m guessing that the best thing for those three little girls would have been having two ?good, devout Christian? parents who were there for them every day, even if it was in modern-day Gomorrah/Los Angeles. And now those little girls get to be pawns in their good, Christian parents? divorce and custody battle. Because everyone involved is so good and devout and Christian. To me, this is just throwing the baby out with bathwater ? this marriage literally failed because Harmon is so much of a conservative wingnut, she didn?t want to raise her kids in ?liberal? LA for five years so she barely saw her kids for like six months at a time.

They?ve been together for more than 15 years and Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn have decided that they?re not cut out for marriage.
Married 13 years ago, the ?Law & Order? lady and her NFL hubby are now separated though they?re trying to make things as civil as possible given their three kids Finley (11), Avery (9) and Emery (5).
Ms. Harmon?s rep told Us Weekly, "For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives.?
Back in 2011, Angie told Good Housekeeping magazine, "He's like a steady tugboat, while I bring on the shock waves. As time goes on, [I love] the different discoveries you make about each other. You think you know that person inside and out, that you know every single inch of that person, and then you find something new."
"Communication is a huge, huge thing in marriage. And it doesn't matter if it's uncomfortable or brings up bad stuff. You really have to have the guts to talk to each other."

Just my opinion: I think Angie Harmon?s marriage has been on the rocks ever since she signed on to Rizzoli & Isles. Angie made such a big deal, years ago, about moving her family to North Carolina and wanting to raise her three daughters away from the liberal heathens in California. Then when she got Rizzoli & Isles and had to spend, like, eight months out of the year in LA filming the TV show, she never bothered moving her family back to LA. So her husband Jason Sehorn raised their girls in North Carolina while Harmon worked. I?m not saying she didn?t have the right to work and all of that, but I always side-eyed both Angie and Jason for not simply moving back to LA full-time. Well, guess what happened? All that time apart has led to the logical conclusion: they?re over.
Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn are amicably separating after 13 years of marriage, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives,” her rep says.
Harmon, who stars in the TNT drama Rizzoli & Isles, and the former NFL player got engaged on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 1998, after Sehorn surprised Harmon by walking out onto the set and getting down on one knee. They went on to have three daughters: Finley, 11, Avery, 9, and Emery, 5. In 2011, Harmon, 42, spoke about the difficulties of splitting her time between Los Angeles, where her show is filmed, and Charlotte, North Carolina, where the family is based.
“We don’t get out Friday nights early enough to catch a flight home,” she told Your Tango. “So I’m here [in L.A.]. We sometimes meet in Texas, a 2-hour flight for both of us. I miss my kids, so it’s hard, but my children are so understanding.”
The former Law & Order star also admitted she and Sehorn, 43, strived to keep their marriage strong despite the distance.
“You have to be really considerate of each other, really kind to each other,” she said. “It’s a lot of work.”
[From People]
I feel sorry for them because I always got the impression that Jason and Angie were a real love match ? they really seemed to adore each other back in the day. So, it?s sad when a couple that used to make sense can no longer make it work. Still? I never really understood the reticence for having your whole family in one place. It?s not like they were poor, you know? Angie and Jason could have easily based themselves in LA full-time and spent part of the year in North Carolina when Angie wasn’t working.

Bedhead covered some quotes from Angie Harmon?s More Magazine cover profile several days ago ? go here to see. Some additional quotes have been released and OMG, Angie Harmon is a broken record about her Republican politics and how everyone hates her because she?s a Republican. Angie notably went off about her politics shortly after Pres. Obama was first elected. She gave a two-part interview to Fox News about how everyone who criticizes Obama gets labeled a ?racist? and how she?s been passed over for jobs in liberal Hollywood because of her conservative politics. I think the whole ?passed over for jobs? thing is particularly weird considering one of the most celebrated and beloved people in Hollywood is Clint Eastwood, a conservative Republican who has actually held public office as a Republican (and who yelled at a chair during last year?s RNC). Anyway, here are some new thoughts from Angie:
Her politics: “I’m a liberal Republican?we actually exist. Call it navet or stupidity, but I didn?t know that unless you are a Democrat, you aren?t allowed to talk politics in Hollywood.”
Her early start in modeling: “I loved every moment of it,” she said. “I’m in Azzedine Alaa’s factory and doing fittings [talking to] Giorgio Armani — he was so interesting. I do wonder now if Karl [Lagerfeld] or Giorgio would remember me, because they’ve seen so many faces since mine.”
On therapy: “I believe in therapy. I don’t believe in staying in it for life. When you have an issue, you go talk to someone, get your issue taken care of, then you go live your life, and you’re armed with the tools to do it correctly.”
[From Us Weekly & USA Today]
?I didn?t know that unless you are a Democrat, you aren?t allowed to talk politics in Hollywood.? She says to More Magazine, after breaking the chains of liberal discrimination against attractive women in Hollywood, all so she can promote her popular TV show on a cable station founded by noted liberal Ted Turner. Those dastardly liberals! But here?s what I really think is going on: Angie is like the Olivia Wilde of the Republican party. Those of us who followed Olivia Wilde?s involvement in Democratic politics know exactly what that means. It?s not that we don?t like Angie?s particular politics. It?s that it?s annoying when an actor doing mediocre work gets on their high horse and deigns to tell us what we should think about liberal or conservative politics.
